Back with another chapter... i have about two more chapters in this season so hopefully i will get those out timely.
I changed a few scene in here, so i hope i didnt butcher anything to bad.
All errors are still my own.
The plan was to go to the hospital and 'release' Mrs. Driscoll. When we walked through the doors the hospital was eerily quiet. Everything about the building made my skin crawl. At the lab I had been to the infirmary multiple times, and every time I was subject to different tests, or… after a grueling training practice that left me bruised and broken, I was left alone and the care was less then ideal. I followed behind Nancy and Jonathan as they walked through the door and headed straight for the elevators.
"Where do you think you're going?" The clerk stood from behind the desk and held the phone to her shoulder.
"Oh, uh… I'm just going to visit my grandma again." Nancy lied smiling at the lady. "And… and this, this is my family." I could see the woman eye each of us suspiciously before her eyes fell to Lucas.
"Extended." Lucas said.
"I don't care who hey are." The clerk scoffed. "You know the rules. Two visitors at a time."
"Yeah, but…" Nancy started but the woman just shook her head.
"Two." She said before getting back on the phone.
"It's fine." I said, turning to Nancy. "You two go, I'll stay down here with them."
With a nod the two went down the hall and I led the kids to the waiting room. They each found a spot around the room, and I sat on the bench closest to the reception desk. Laying my head back I closed my eyes processing everything from the time Billy had showed up to now.
"Come on you piece of shit!" Mike exclaimed and I opened my eyes to watch Mike smack the machine and a few seconds later the candy in the machine dropped, surprising both boys. I looked at El who was standing with Max in the corner watching the machine before turning away and giggling. I smiled to myself shaking my head. It was nice to see her happy despite everything.
Ten minutes passed and Lucas and Max moved to chairs across the room throwing candy at each other and Mike and El were sitting together. Arms crossed my eyes followed Will as he paced the room until he stopped suddenly and put his hand to his neck. I scowled as he froze in place almost scared. Sitting up I continued to watch him until the lights around us flickered. My heart dropped and stomach jumped.
The others stood and looked up at the lights as they flickered, and I made eye contact with El. Her eyes were wide. I looked at Will again.
"Shit." I cursed. "Stay here!" I ordered before turning to run down the hall. The clerk yelled at me as I did but I ignored her and pushed the elevator button multiple times. As I cursed at the elevator, I continued to watch the lights as they continued to flicker. With a final punch as the button, I saw the stair exit to my left and rushed to it slamming the door open. Looking up the stairs I started running up two steps at a time. There was yelling a few stories above me, and fear coursed through me as I continued without hesitation.
Bursting through the door I nearly ran into Jonathan.
"Nancy!" he yelled, and I watched as a fleshy blob several feet high and wide advancing on Nancy at the end of the hall. "Run!"
"What the hell is that!" I exclaimed grabbing Jonathan's shoulder before he stumbled over.
"Its Tom and… Bruce." He grimaced, "They… melted into…into that."
"You have got to be kidding me." I murmured.
"It's after Nancy," he said quickly turning to me and I clenched my jaw. Jonathan quickly pulled away from me and started running after the monster and Nancy. When we rounded a corner, we saw the end tail of the monster squishing through the small opening in the door at the bottom.
"What the hell," I said stopping in front of the door looking at the floor. Jonathan was yelling at the door, trying to force his way through with little luck. "Stand back." I pushed him to the side and stood in front of the door, lifting my hand out open, before clenching my fist and the door flew from the hinges and into the room. Running in Nancy was on the ground with the skin melted monster over her. As it yelled in her face it turned to me with a new roar, and before I could raise my hand again, the tail of it wrapped around my ankle and pulled me to the ground.
My head hit the floor with a loud thud and while my vision swam, and I tried to blink away the stars the tail still wrapped around my ankle flung me across the room and another tailed limb wrapped around my waist and pinned me to the wall. Yelling in pain and anger I used my abilities to rip the appendage from my ankle only for a new one to wrap around my wrist pinning it to the wall by my head, doing the same to the other. I was completely pinned and stuck as the monster turned back to Nancy.
"No!" I yelled but the limbs just tightened around me, the one around my waist squeezing even tighter against my bruised ribs. Cringing, I groaned and tried to rip my arms from the walls, but it was pointless. There was a yell, and I looked at the door where El stood in front of the other kids hands up. The monster withered under her power and dropped me to the ground before being thrown out the window. Jonathan moved around the kids to help Nancy and as I stood I held my side and moved to El. She was breathing heavily staring at the window.
As we made our way outside my mind was running a hundred miles an hour. This was impossible. Even before, the Mind Flayer was just a shadow, but this, this was a monster, created from two people. How was this thing so powerful. Once we ran outside the monster was already half through the storm drain leaving behind any bones left from its former occupants. Watching it disappear, it hit me. The night at the mall, the power outage, Billy, the message Dustin received, it was more then a coincidence, and if my theory was right, they were going to be facing something far more dangerous than a few Russian soldiers.
"Shit." I murmured to myself watching the sludge fall through the drain.
"Are you okay?" Nancy asked, putting her arm on my shoulder, coming up behind me looking concerned.
"Huh… oh yeah." I nodded with a scowl before turning towards her. "Look I need you two to take the kids to the cabin, keep them there until we know where Jim is, or we can get ahold of Dr. Owens."
"Wait, what are you talking about?" Jonathan asked as I started to walk away.
"I have to get Dustin and Steve… I think the whole thing at the mall is connected," I said quickly backing away from them.
"Roni what's going on?" Mike asked and I sighed, turning towards him and El.
"I don't have time to explain, but this thing is about to get a whole lot worse." I said. "I need you to trust me. I need to go get Dustin, there about to walk into something that is a whole lot worse than Russians."
"Wait Russian?" Nancy asked and I ignored her turning to walk away.
"Wait, maybe we should go with you." Max offered, taking a step towards me.
"Nope. No, not happening. That thing was a baby compared to all the people Billy could have Flayed…" I shook my head. "If there is more, that thing is going to get bigger, and I need to know you are safe." Turning to Nancy and Jonathan, I pleaded with them with my eyes. "Take them to the cabin and see if you can get ahold of Jim, and for God sake don't do anything stupid." Without looking back, I turned and started running towards the mall praying I wasn't too late.
When I got there, I went right to the back of the building and slipped through the gate as a truck was leaving. I didn't wait or hide, I walked on a mission towards the large door to the storage room. Two guards with guns stood at the door and started yelling at me as I advanced on them. I was in no mood to negotiate. With one yelling at me the other lifted his gun, and I made a quick flick of my wrist and the man flew across the freight area into a pile of empty crates and pallets. The other was midway through raising his gun as he stared at his companion in utter shock and fear before turning to me. He yelled in Russian raising his gun again and as he fired, I lifted him in the air and threw him next to his buddy. Wiping my nose on my sleeve I quickly opened the storage door.
Boxes were sitting along the walls, and I searched the room quickly, tipping boxes to the floor for anything that would tell me where Dustin and Steve would have gone. After a few minutes of searching, I found a panel on the wall and noticed a key card opening. Running back out to the unconscious guards I searched them for a key card before going back to the room and swiping the card. The door to the room shut and the room began falling rapidly.
When the elevator finally came to a stop, I swiped the key card again and the doors slid open. I walked out into a large entry way that led to a long tunnel. This was so much bigger than a small bunker. Closing my eyes, I thought about Dustin and Steve and pushed my thoughts down the tunnel hoping to find even a small hint of where they were. After a few minutes of searching, I could finally hear Dustin's voice arguing with someone. Opening my eyes I started quickly down the tunnel, until I reached a junction. Making a left I rounded the corner only to have a cattle prod nearly shoved in my eye, and a very wide-eyed Dustin and … Erica… holding it.
"Put that away." I hissed, grabbing the thing and pulling it from their hands. "What in the world… what are… why is she here?"
"She was the only one that could fit in the vent," Dustin shrugged looking at Erica and then at me. "We paid in with Ice Cream."
"Oh, I'm charging more now." Erica stated hands on her hips.
"What are you doing here?" Dustin scowled looking at me.
"Looking for you and …" my voice trailed off when I realized someone was missing. "Dustin, where's Steve?"
"The, uh, the Russians took him and Robin." Dustin answered and I could see the guilt on his face as he looked away.
"Where?" I asked. Both Dustin and Erica pointed in the direction down another hall, and I nodded looking at the golf car like vehicle beside us. "Get in."
Neither of the kids argued and quickly jumped in squeezing together as I turned the key and started driving in the direction Dustin had pointed.
"Roni…" Dustin's voice was quiet. "They opened another Gate."
"I know." I said grimly. My grip on the wheel tightened as I set my jaw. I didn't have to look at the boy to know he was staring at me surprised.
"How?"
"Pretty sure Billy is Flayed." I sighed.
"Who's Billy? And What's Flayed?" Erica questioned, but I chose to ignore them as I let Dustin process and stopped the cart.
"You think you two can form a distraction for me?" I asked. "Without being seen?"
"Easy." Erica shrugged pulling a jar of green… liquid… from Dustin's backpack. "We'll use this."
"What is that?"
"Don't worry about it." She said quickly before getting out of the cart and pulling Dustin with her down another corridor. I didn't have to wait long before the alarms started going off and Dustin and Erica came running around the corner goofy, successful grins on their faces. Standing in front of the locked door I took a deep breath and raised my arm, my fist clenched.
"What is she doing?" Erica whispered behind me.
"Just watch." Dustin hissed and not a moment after I opened my fist the door shot off its hinges and across the room.
"Holy shit!" I heard Erica exclaim behind me, but I couldn't think about what she had just seen or that I had exposed my power to her. Standing in the room was a man, doctor, with a stained apron on staring at me startled. In his hand was a tool of some sort and he was standing in front of someone who's hair I'd recognize from across the mall. Seeing red I raised my hand again as I entered the room and the man flew backwards into the wall with a crack before slumping to the ground. Dustin came in quickly running towards Robin and Steve tied in the center of the room.
"Hurry up," I hissed standing at the door looking out into the hallway. I could hear shouting coming from the far direction and knew we only had seconds. Dustin was quick to get Steve untied and handed him off in my direction before going back for Robin. I reached out and grabbed him before he fell and when he looked up at me he had a goofy smile on.
"Heeeyyy." he slurred touching my face, hair and then tapped his finger to my nose before giggling. "I was jus' talkin' bout you."
"Yeah, okay," I said with a scowl before pushing him out the door and into the back of the cart. Dustin came out with Robin and tow before putting her in the back with Steve and jumping into the front of the cart with Erica and myself.
"So, are you El?" Erica asked as I put the cart in drive and floored it.
"What... El, no." I scowled and quickly looked at Dustin before looking back at the tunnels in front of me.
"Veronica was at the labs with El. She's a freakin' badass. She saved Mrs. Byers, Jim, and Will last year, and..."
"Dustin!" I exclaimed, "Now really isn't the time. Can we focus on getting out of here alive before we start rehashing past traumas?"
"Right, take a left." he said quickly and I turned the wheel as hard as I could, the cart momentarily lifting onto two wheels. The two people I the back tumbled around the back.
"Jesus, slow down." Steve said before I heard him chuckle.
"Yeah, what is this the Indy 500?" Robin asked.
"It's Indy 300." Steve tried to correct.
"No Dingus, it's 500." Robin argued and they continued to argue until they were in a fit of laughter.
"What is wrong with them?" Erica asked concerned and confused.
"We'll figure that out in a minute." I said just as I turned another corner only to slam my brakes. We skidded forward into several boxes before stopping abruptly at the wall. Groaning I stumbled from the cart and put my hands on my legs taking a few breaths. "Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good." Dustin groaned walking around to open the back of the cart for Steve and Robin. "You guys alright back here?" The two just giggled and I rolled my eyes helping Dustin pull them from the back and towards the elevator as the shouting down the tunnel got louder.
"Let's Go!" Erica shouted.
Swiping my keycard in the elevator room the door slammed shut and the room started to shoot upward. Leaning on the wall I finally let out a sigh of relief before watching Steve and Robin stumble around the room. Scowling I watched as Steve stood on a container pretending to surf.
"They seem drunk?" Erica commented. I shook my head and grabbed Steve's arm just as he tilted one way and started to fall. He crashed to the floor in a fit of laughter and Dustin and I knelt beside him.
"They aren't drunk." I said, taking in Steve's battered and beaten appearance. His lip was split pretty bad and the bruising around his eye was already swelling trying to force the eye closed. "What did they do to you?" I whispered to myself lightly probing the area and he batted my hand away.
"You're really pretty." he said, taking both his hands and holding my face. Raising an eyebrow, I turned to Dustin who just shrugged. Pulling away I grabbed his hands and forced them to his sides as Dustin touched Steve's forehead.
"He's burning up." Dustin said and I copied his action putting the back of my hand to his forehead.
"You're burning up." Steve shot back haphazardly pushing away our hands.
"He's drugged." I sighed leaning in closer and looking at his good eye. His pupil was large and dilated almost taking over so the browns of his eye weren't visible anymore.
"Steve, are you drugged?" Dustin asked and I rolled my eyes at his obvious question.
"How many times dad?" Steve groaned. "I don't do drugs, it's only marijuana."
"Dammit Steve," I cursed taking his face in my hands now and forcing him to look at me. "This is serious. We need to know what they gave you, what they did to you."
"Are you gonna die?" Dustin asked quickly and I turned to the kid with a scowl. Dustin looked at me and whispered 'what?' to me and I just shook my head again and turned back to Steve.
"We all die, my strange little child friend." Robin said sitting against a crate by Erica. "It's just a matter of how and when."
"Helpful Robin." I murmured, turning my attention back to Steve.
"I have a secret," Steve whispered leaning forward so I was forced to lean back. He motioned with his finger for me to come closer and I pinched my eyebrows together before slowly getting closer. "Guess what..." he whispered again a cheesy, goofy, drugged up grin on his face. "I really... really, really, really... like you." With the last word he booped my nose with his finger before looking at Robin. "See I told you I would tell her."
I wasn't sure how to feel. For one, Steve just admitted to liking me, something I had wanted for a while now. However, he was only able to do it while being high as a kite and even then, I was still mad at him for his behavior earlier.
"You know what Henderson." I sighed standing up. "You deal with him." I walked away towards the door leaning on the nearest set of boxes crossing my arms, listening as Dustin tried to explain that we had to go to his car and get away from the mall. Steve and Robin quickly asked about food and then said they couldn't use the car since his keys were taken by the Russians. Finally, the elevator ride came to an end the door whooshed opened. Putting my hand up, I signaled for the others to wait as I peeked around the door making sure the two guards, I had knocked out earlier were still out cold. Waiving my hand, they started following me out towards the gate.
"Oh my God. It tastes so good." Robin commented and I turned to watch her stop and put her tongue out licking the air. "Steve, can you taste the air?"
"I taste it. I taste it!" Steve said and before I could comment yelling came from the gate.
"Stop!" a Russian man yelled running towards the gate, gun in hand.
"Shit!" Dustin cursed.
"Go, go, go, go." I quickly turned around and pushed Dustin around and grabbed Robin while Dustin grabbed Steve. Erica led the way as we ran into the back hallway of the mall. We quickly ran down the hallway, all the while Steve and Robin were giggling obnoxiously, and Russian soldiers were yelling further down the hall. "In the theater." I pointed to a door ahead and we ran into the back of the theater. We ran into the closest theater, and I rushed everyone down the steps while Back to the Future played on the big screen.
"Sit." I hissed, pointing to two seats in the front of the theater pushing Steve and Robin into them.
"Stop, we're sitting." Robin whined and I could feel the eyes of people around us.
"Be quiet." I whispered.
"Whatever you do, don't go anywhere." Dustin ordered looking at Steve. I watched as Erica moved to a seat a row back on the other side.
"Find dad." Steve grumbled. Shaking my head, I pointed to the seat next to Erica and crouched down leading Dustin towards it. He sat down and gave a quiet sigh of short relief as we looked back at the two drugged ones laughing at the movie.
"Okay give me your Walkie." I said holding out my hand to Dustin.
"Why?" he asked rummaging through his bag.
"I'm going to see if I can get ahold of Mike and the others." I said and before he put the device in my hand, he scowled at me.
"Why can't I call them?" he asked.
"Because you're babysitting them." I stated taking the radio and pointing to the two people in the front row. "Because you guys are being chased by Russians... and because I'm older. Make sure they stay put." Standing up I walked out into the main hall of the theater and turned on the radio. Looking around and making sure no one was around I clicked the button on the side.
"Mike, this is Veronica. Do you read me?" I felt like an idiot talking into this thing. But right now, we needed their help, and I had no other way to reach them. "Can you hear me?"
"Roni?" the crackled voice came from the device, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Mike!"
"Roni! What's going on? Where are you?" he sounded panicked. I had to think for a second about what Dustin would typically say to get the other kids to realize the situation.
"I got a code red." I said quickly waiting for a response.
"What?"
"Listen, we are stuck in the mall and Russians are hunting us an..." I tried to continue but all that happened was static came through the speaker before it died. "You have got to be kidding me." I groaned, leaning my head against the wall and closing my eyes for a moment. Grumbling to myself I pushed off the wall and went back into the theater crouching down beside Dustin.
"What did they say? Are they coming?" Dustin asked and I shook my head, handing him the radio back.
"It's dead." I deadpanned.
"Do you have batteries for it?" Erica whispered.
"Of course, I have..." he trailed off looking in his back. "Okay so I don't, and it needs like eight."
"Seriously?"
"We'll need to go to plan B." Dustin shrugged, and as I raised my eyebrow waiting for him to elaborate my eyes settled on two empty seats in the front row, and my heart dropped. Taking Dustin's head, I turned it towards the seats and pointed.
"Where the hell are they?" I hissed. Erica and Dustin jumped from their seats, and we all ran towards the back exit. "You were supposed to be watching them."
"We were." Erica said.
"Okay, so where are they now?"
"Um... Well, in the movie they went back in time, and I turned away for a second, and then you came back and..." Dustin started talking quickly and I turned around quickly and put my hand up.
"Stop, stop, stop..." I closed my eyes and shook my head. "It doesn't matter right now... we just need to find them." We spent the good portion of ten minutes searching all the theaters around the area until we met in front of the restrooms.
"They couldn't have gone far." Dustin said slightly out of breath.
"Unless the Russians found them…" Erica shrugged and I glared at her and as I was about to make a remark back we heard laughter from bathroom and I scowled quickly pushing through the door. Ignored Dustin's comment about it being the men's room and walked to the far stall. Sitting on the floor was Robin and Steve both laughing.
"Having a good time?" I asked, crossing my arms and both looked at me surprised before quickly getting off the floor. "Russian soldiers trying to kill us? Ring a bell?"
"Yeah, sorry we just were thirsty, and then got sick and now I think we're drug free." Robin quickly explained.
"Great, glad to hear it… can we go?" I asked, directing them to the door where Erica and Dustin stood. I made a point to avoid the curious, concerned look Steve was giving me as I let them walk past me. We went back to the theater and stood outside the door waiting for the room to empty out.
"Okay, so we follow everyone out, blend in and then we are home free." Dustin explained and I nodded leaning on the wall.
"If we're lucky those guards will have stopped looking for us." Erica added.
"They seem resilient I doubt they have given up." I sighed, closing my eyes and running a hand over the back of my neck and grimaced as I touched the bruise.
"Whoa, what happened there?" Robin asked and I opened my eyes and looked in the direction she was pointing. Around my wrist there were dark blue and purple marks that ran towards my elbow.
"Long story." I said pulling my sleeve down.
"Does it have to do with Billy?" she asked and I just stared at her shaking my head.
"Lets just get out of here first and get to Mike and the others." I answered and the door to the theater opened and people started filling out. "Follow them." I said as we merged into the hoard of people.
"Blend." Dustin whispered. We started walking out, keeping our heads down. I stayed in the back, watching everyone around us, keeping an eye on our surroundings.
"Hey." Steve slowed his pace until he was next to me. "Can we talk?"
"No." I said simply, and it seemed to take him by surprise.
"Roni…"
"No." I repeated quietly.
"I screwed up…"
"No." I said again stopping and turning to him nearly running into a couple that was behind us. Pointing my finger at him I shook my head. "No, we aren't doing this now."
"I'm sorry." He whispered looking around as people passed us. "When I saw you two together…"
"You didn't trust me." I stated and for a brief second, I let the feelings rush back, and I looked back at him hurt. "You didn't trust me, you didn't even let me explain, so no, I am not going to let you get the chance right now, because right now… if I let you justify what you did, what you said I would say it is fine and I forgive you because you just got your ass kicked to save those kids, but I really don't want to forgive you right now… Because the one person I thought I could go to… I thought I had in my corner, turned his back on me…and that hurt more than I thought it would."
"Will you guys hurry up!" Dustin called and I looked up to see the kids a few feet away waiting for us, Robin curiously looking between Steve and I. Looking back at Steve I could see the guilt rolling off him, but I turned away and walked towards the kids. "Okay so we have to get on the bus with the rest of these plebes and home sweet home here we come…"
"Uh Dustin." Steve said beside me as we continued towards the mall exit.
"What?"
"Yeah, we might not wanna go to your house." He said and I looked at him with a scowl.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Well, I might've told them your full name." he said sheepishly.
"What's wrong with you?" Dustin complained.
"Dude, I was drugged."
"So?"
"So?" Steve repeated.
"So, you resist. You tough it out, you tough it out like a man." Dustin said.
"Okay enough." I hissed leaning forward looking between the two of them. "He was drugged, it happens. We can't change what happened, so let's just get out of here and we'll figure the rest out later."
"Guys." Robin stopped us and looked towards the exit where there were several men in black stopping people at the door and checking IDs.
"Oh shit." I said grabbing Dustin and Erica and pulling them back towards me just as the two men at the door looked at us and both started advancing.
"Abort!" Dustin said quickly, turning as we started running in the other direction.
"Wait, wait, wait." I said pulling the kids back again just as two more guards came at us from the other direction. "Go down!" I said and Robin led us to the center between the two moving stairs and pushed herself down like a slide. We followed and ran to the closest food court stall that was closed jumping over the counter. "Stay here." I ordered as they hunkered down and I slid out before they could argue. Running across the mall floor to hide behind a pillar on the other side of the room. From my place I was able to see as more men with guns filed down the escalators. The last of the mall goers had left ten minutes ago and the doors had been locked, leaving us stuck in a dark building with armed Russians.
As I counted each one, they started scanning the area, splitting up. I counted six men each going in different directions. With as much stealth as I could muster, I snuck around and grabbed one of the men surprising him. I was shorter than the man, and a great deal smaller, but between my training at the labs and living with Jim as a caretaker, I knew how to hold my own in a fight. Once the man I was ablet to disarm him, he grabbed my arm and wrenched it behind my back. I bit my lip to keep from yelling out and threw my head back snaping it against the mans nose as he leaned down to say something in my ear. My head exploded as I made contact, but the man was and loosened his grip giving me enough time to spin around and throw my hand out pushing him into a kiosk stand a few feet away.
Lifting my hand up I winced as my fingers touched the spot on the back of my head that I was sure had a bruise now. Strong arms game around me locking my arms one above my head the other behind my back as more yelling brought the soldiers towards us. The good side of this was the guards were no longer searching for Dustin and the others, the bad news was I was severely outnumbered. As they continued to yell, I pondered the pros and cons of using my powers to get myself free. If I got free and these men went back to their leaders, I would be the new target. However, I could potentially get away and they might not say anything... The man bellowed Russian at me as another got in my face pointing the fun at my head.
Discounting all cons I used the man behind me as an anchor and lifted myself up to kick the man in front of me in the chest. The man stumbled to the ground. Clenching my fist the man behind me flew back and I stumbled over my feet and caught myself on my hands and knees. Looking up I could see the man I had kicked in the chest stare at me shocked. Others around him started moving in closer, their guns raised. Looking up I saw the fire sprinklers and quickly flicked my wrist setting them off before turning to run away. One of the guns went off and I the sting as something grazed my arm and on instinct I turned water raining down on me and pushed with both hands sending all five men back as hard as I could. Ignoring the continued shower of the sprinklers and quickly jumped the counter, the others were hiding behind and slid in beside Steve who looked at me surprised.
"There's too many." I shook my head out of breath.
"Dude are you okay?" Robin asked leaning forward from beside Erica on the other side, I nodded but I pulled my arm back as Steve touched the wound on it.
"Ouch." I hissed.
"Were you shot?" He asked.
"Maybe." I shrugged. "I'm fine."
"But…" Steve started, and I put my hand over his mouth as we heard footsteps getting closer. Holding my breath, I heard each step getting closer, and closed my eyes waiting. I ran through the possibilities. If they found us, I could distract them, make sure the others got out, but could I stop all of them. I didn't have to consider the options for long when a car alarm went off somewhere in the center of the mall and then only seconds later the car crashed directly behind us taking out the Russian guards in its path. Looking at Steve and Dustin I scowled and turned around slowly, rising from behind the counter my eyes fell on the upturned car across the food court and the bodies on the ground. Slowly I turned from the car to the balcony where El stood hand out, slowly followed by Nancy, Jonathan, Max, Mike and Lucas.
Let me know what you think :)
