Kapheria

The words of her trainer echoed through her mind as she climbed, "You were brought here for a special reason, Kapheria."

The sound of her trainer's voice was monotone, yet it calmed her mind and motivated her to scale upward. The base of the crater was stiff and jagged, if not for Kapheria's metallic exterior, she would have been too irritated to climb further. Finally, the iron beast reached its peak, her vision no longer obscured by the crater's fog. Kapheria looked towards the horizon, everything was still overtaken by rich, green foliage. She was pleased to find that nothing had changed since she sealed away inside her Pokeball.

"If you didn't recognize Paldea before I can only assume the worst. You will prevent the world I brought you from."

Those words haunted Kapheria like a bad dream. It was horrifying to know what would become of this land, this paradise. What made it worse is that Kapheria knew what would happen, but not when. She dreaded the idea of waking up one day, and everything being covered in sand.

Kapheria felt a gentle breeze against her antennae. She knew it was time to follow the winds towards the lighthouse. She leaped into the air, unfolded her throat, and coiled her tail, holding both between her legs. Her antennae extended, followed by her luminescent wings streaming out of her head. Then she ascended and soared through the sky like a jugulis. As Kapheria flew above the green land, she thought back about her trainer.

"Humans will have much to learn from you."

Kapheria knew her human as well as she knew her reflection. Turo was accommodating toward her, affectionate even. He gave her name, he treated her with care that she had never been given, but most importantly he brought her into the green world. She felt indebted to him and loved him as he loved her. She hoped that she could replicate that same connection with the other humans.

Kapheria passed by lands of concrete, cities, and the natural habitat of humans. Kapheria knew that Turo did not live in a city, he lived with his human cohort in a lighthouse near the edge of the land. Kapheria would still have along way to go, but once she arrived her trainer's child would be there to greet her.

Eventually, the land became slowly more vibrant, Kapheria could now make out specks popping off the green surface. She knew it had to be the strange creatures that Turo called "Pokemon".

Turo's voice reappeared, "Pokémon will flourish thanks to you."

Turo considered Kapheria a Pokémon as well, but she wasn't like the Pokémon of the green world. Some were made of metal like her, but then there were Pokemon covered in fibers and foliage. They were softer and all the more delicate compared to her, so she had to be especially gentle around them.

Soon enough the specks of Pokémon became dots, then spots, then blobs. Kapheria felt a tinge of fear, she was beginning to descend. She briefly looked towards the distance and saw a white spire. She was almost to the lighthouse, she just had to keep gliding for just a bit longer if she could.

In a stroke of panic she kept thinking of Turo, "If humans and Pokémon found a way to coexist, I am certain they would welcome you and your kind."

They will welcome me, she thought. In that instance, Kapheria released energy from her back legs. It wasn't good for her to switch modes when she hadn't even finished gliding but she didn't know the ground compared to the air. Kapheria unfolded her arms she expected to have a burst of energy in her system but instead, she felt her own electricity shocking her.

Before everything went black she heard her trainer's voice, "after all, you're perfect."
