Warning, this story explains what happens to this version of Gwen Stacy's Mom and how she died, so it may be a little dark. Also the ending is loosely based on the Spider-Man 2 (ps5) ending *spoilers if you don't want to read the final part*

In Metropolis inside of Gwen's house, Gwen was just finishing up getting ready for school for today. "Bye Dad I'll see you later." Gwen said as she got her backpack and was about to head off. "Just a moment Gwen I kind of want to talk to you for a minute." George stopped her before she was about to head out. 'Uh oh am I in trouble?' she thought to herself, she then turned around and said, "What is it, Dad? Gwen asked. George took a deep breath and said, "So you know you have been taking these long work times and I have also been working late?" The question left Gwen confused and said, "Yeah? Why?" she asked. "Well you see it's not really work, the reason why I'm always late." George said. "I've actually been seeing someone." he said, which made Gwen surprised. "You mean you've been taking dates with someone?" Gwen asked. George nodded a yes which made Gwen speechless. "Look Gwen, I'm trying to replace your mother, you know I loved her with my heart." George said, "But you know how hard it is to be a single Dad. It's pretty lonely, and she's an amazing woman, so that's why I decided to invite her to dinner tomorrow night." He exclaimed his plain. "Um… I'm sure that I'll be working late so…" Gwen was about to say something until. "No I get Gwen, you're nervous, but I'd really like it if you meet her, and she really likes to meet you too," George said. "She just wants to make a good impression on you and it made me nervous and that's why…" before he could finish. "Okay, Okay dad i get it, You had me at 'Dinner'" Gwen stated. "I'm sure I'll like her tomorrow." She said that as she was about to leave, she thought about her Dad for a little bit and turned around for a quick hug on her Dad, which made him surprised. "Love you Dad." Gwen said. George returned the hug and replied, "Love you to Honey."
Then they both released each other from their hugs and Gwen went off to school. Meanwhile at school Gwen and Kamala were at the stands in the gym having a conversation about her Dad's plan tomorrow while also watching the gymnastics tryouts. "Really! Mr. Stacy is going out on dates and he wants you to meet her tomorrow night?" Kamala said while in shock. "Yep, he even tells me that she wants to meet me too." Gwen said. "You don't look too excited, is there something wrong?" Kamala asked. "Yeah, everything's fine, why wouldn't it be?" Gwen asked. "Well I was worried that you know, since your Mom died from that car accident 10 years ago, I thought that your dad might…" Kamala felt awkward about what she was about to say. "It's okay, I understand and he's not trying to, he told me." Gwen responded. "But i'll worry about tomorrow later, right now let's just watch D's tryouts." she said as she and Kamala continued to watch the tryouts. Right now, a blonde haired girl named Barbara Ann Minerva, or Barbi, just did an absolutely perfect vault, the girls in the tryouts were cheering for as Gwen then said, "That was pretty cool."
"If you keep vaulting like that, we might actually win gold this year." one of the tryouts said. "Well, it wasn't me who fell on the uneven bars." Barbi stated. "Nice work, Barbi. Maybe your cleanest vault yet." the coach said.
"Naturally!" Barbi said then she looked at Gwen. "Even the greatest girl from New York thinks that was great." Barbi stated to Gwen. "Yeah, that was amazing, it's like the time when i was learning to land like that." Gwen replied. "Yeah, you landed gracefully," Kamala said. Barbi giggled and said, "Why thank you."
"Hang on. I think there's one more girl left. Diana Prince." the coach said as she checked in the list of entrees. "Ugh, the new girl." Barbi said. "You got this girl!" Gwen said. "Yeah!" Kamala said. "lift me, Boreas. Let your wintery breath keep me aloft." Diana said to herself while also trying to pray. "Prince!" the coach rushed her. Soon, Diana took a deep breath and then she did a perfect vault, and it was even better than Barbi's, and everyone was in shock and impressed at what Diana did more than Barbi did!
"Maybe we should have co-captains this year." The coach said. "Great idea!" Gwen agreed. "Yeah! That could work!" Kamala said. However Barbi wasn't too impressed by that idea. "What? Absolutely not!" she shouted with annoyance. "Okay." The Coach said until she made a decision. "Congratulations, Prince! You're the new team captain."
She said as the girls cheered and applauded while leaving Barbi all alone and super jealous. "Oh, yay!" Prudence said. Gwen came in and said, "Nice work, D!" "Thank you, Gwen." Diana replied. "Yeah, that was awesome, you landed perfectly, you could even be better than Captain America." Kamala stated.
Later, in another class, Barbi was looking into a golden compact mirror, while her teacher handed her a test. "Nice job, Barbi." the teacher complimented her. "Not too often you see a hundred percent in AP Calculus, is what I'd be saying if it weren't for Diana over here. A hundred and two percent. Incredible! That's a new school record." she stated as she gave Diana her test, everyone applauded except for Barbi who was pretty angry as she crushed her mirror. "Nice one, D!" Gwen said. "How did I do?" Gwen asked the teacher. "Well, you got a ninety-five score. That's a pretty distant score from anyone." the teacher said as she gave her test back to Gwen. "and same thing to you Ms. Khan, you got the same score as Gwen." the teacher said. "Oh yeah we did it, Gwendy!" Kamala said in excitement. "You bet Kamalakins." Gwen said as the two high fived each other. "Nice job you too." Diana complimented. "Thanks." Gwen complimented. "I was something of a smart guy back in my old school." she stated. "Plus Mr. Parker tutored us before we took this test. Easy Peasy." Kamala stated.
Barbi then looks at Gwen and smirks. "Can you tutor me to be as smart as you, Gwen." Barbi asked. "Kind offer, but I'm not really a teacher!" Gwen said. But that's when Kamala came in. "But Mr. Parker could tutor you, he's really great and…" before Kamala could finish. "Thanks, but I'm good." Barbi said in a forced smile.
Soon, after school, Barbi arrived in a convertible.
"Hello everyone! Pool party at my house!" Barbi shouted. "Sorry, Barbi, we're gonna stay and help Diana, Gwen and Kamala, decorate for the dance." Prudence said. Then the three girls came in. "Join us. There will be camaraderie and merriment." Diana said "Totally! This is going to be sweet!" Gwen said. "and I know the perfect Decorations!" Kamala said in a sing-song while shaking the streamers.
"Diana's the best at merriment." Prudence said. "And Gwen is the coolest girl!" Chloe said"Kamala is the best at Decorations!" Luke said. "And she's totally gonna show us her dance moves." Amy said. "And she's bringing-" a girl was about to say something "Oh my gosh! Diana, Gwen, and Kamala are so great!" Kate said.
Then there was indistinct chatter. At this point, Barbi was outraged, which made her scream and drove off. "Sheesh, what's her problem?" Gwen asked. "I'm not sure." Diana responded. Soon Barbi was still screaming as she drove up to her home and walked into her father's private room. However, when she tried to open it, it was locked.
Barbi groaned and said "Nice try, Daddy.'' She then kicks the door open and the room is revealed to have rare relics. Barbi then started to look around at the relics to use. "Too quick. Too humane. Too humorous." Barbi rejects the other kinds but then she notices a cat statue. "Diana Prince, little miss perfect, well, I've got the perfect curse for the perfect girl." She then grabbed it and then said the seance. "Woe ot she in Cheetah's path, for she shall feel the Cheetah's wrath, by claw and fang, and with spite and hate, swift as wind, she'll seal your fate!" However, nothing happened.
Barbi threw the statue to the ground in anger and said, "Useless thing." However, as she leaves the room, it leaves an ominous glow within its emerald eyes. Later, the girls returned to the school. "It is with great excitement I anticipate sharing what the decorating committee has done." Diana said. "And it is with great excitement I anticipate the dance!" Babs said in excitement. "But I don't know how to dance." Karen said. "And I'm not much of a dancer!" Gwen said.
Diana came in and said, "Fear not young Karen, and Gwen, for I possess dance moves that are rich with fleek. You're welcome to study them." That's when Kamala came in and said, "Yeah I could also teach you some pakistani styled dancing." as she was doing a little traditional dance. "Wait Kamala, what about your curfew?" Gwen asked. "Oh don't worry, I'll see if I can convince them to come." Kamala answered. Babs started to sing, "Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. We're gonna tear it up on Friday night!" until she gasped in horror.
When they entered, all the banners, signs, and decorations were torn to shreds! "Woah!" Gwen said in a shock. Kamala gasped and said, "My decorations!" as she grabbed one of her signs in shreds. "looks like someone already "tore it up."" Kara jokes which made thunder rumbling, which startled them.
"That isn't funny, Kara." Jessica scolded "Instead of cutting a rug, they cut the posters." Kara stated. "No, I mean, it's literally not funny." Jessica said. "She's right! Not the time for jokes!" Kamala said. "I mean look at my work." she whined while holding up her poster in shreds.
Diana inspects the shredded poster for a closer look.
"Maybe... Maybe the dance shouldn't have booked a band that shreds so hard." Kara joked more. "Kara!" Jessica shouted. "Yeah quit it!" Kamala said. "Jess and Kamalakins are right, Kara, we should take this seriously!" Gwen said.
Later, Diana, Kamala were looking around the locker room for any evidence.
Diana opens one of the locker doors and takes a uniform. Then, that's when they noticed a scratch mark on the door, which made Diana gasp! Kamala then came in and said, "How did it…" but before then something was growling. "Who's there?!" Kamala asked, as more thunder was more rumbling.
Meanwhile, the others were picking up the shredded posters.
"Guys, we better hurry before people think they've slashed the ticket prices." Kara jokes. "Kara!" Jessica scolded. Then they hear a scream. Gwen heard it and screamed, "KAMALA!" as she panicked. "DIANA!" the rest of the girls screamed. Then the girls went to the locker room to see that Kamala, and Diana were on the ground.
"Diana? What happened? Who did this to you?" Jessica asked. "I don't know. Something knocked into me. It came from nowhere." Diana replied. Gwen immediately went to Kamala. "Kamala are you alright? Kamala groaned as she got up, I think so. I felt like a big cat attacked me." that's when Babs dramatically gasped "What is it Babs?" Kamala asked. Then Babs started talking very fast. "Don't you see? Clearly, someone is suffering from having status quo upended by Diana's arrival in Metropolis, and their crippling insecurity most likely caused by absentee parenting, and a lack of proper modeling in childhood, has unleashed a horrible ancient curse that has manifested itself in the form of some weird cat beast that's now stalking the perceived enemy which is Diana!" she finished as she was panting
"Babs, what are you trying to say?" Gwen asked. "There's a monster on the loose!" Babs shouted. "I don't care if it's a monster, or a chitari, or an evil villain, he's gonna pay for ruining my decorations!" Kamala said. "Jealousy or not, we need to get Diana somewhere safe." Jessica said. Kara pounds her fist and said, "It ain't Diana that needs protecting."
"Whatever it is could be perilous to everyone here. We must find a way to evacuate our fellow students without causing them distress." Diana said. "You're right, just need to think of something Gwen said, that's when the fire alarm started ringing, the girls turned their heads and gasped to see Kara's idea for an evacuation was to pull the fire alarm.
Meanwhile, All of the students were screaming and leaving school. "Really dude?" Gwen asked. "What happened to "no distress"?" Jessica asked. "Worked, didn't it?" Kara responded. "Yeah maybe we can find out who's causing this before the Avengers, X-men or the Fantastic 4 can come." Kamala said. "Agreed Come, friends, Let the hunt begin." Diana said.
Soon, the girls transformed into their hero forms. Suddenly, the unknown creature cut the power, which made everyone, but Ghost-Spider gasp! "No problemo girls." Ghost-Spider said. "I will be able to see in the night with my night vision." she explained as her eyes through her visor then turned bright green. "Oh yeah I forgot you have natural night vision," Batgirl said. "All part of the spider bite." Ghost-Spider said. "Spidey even felt a little jealous that her spider gave her secondary powers." Ms. Marvel said.
"We have a lot of territory to cover. Let us split ourselves." Diana ordered
"Split up." Supergirl said. "Yes, that." Wonder Woman responded. "I'll go with Wonder Woman, Kamala you go with Zee to keep her safe." Ghost-Spider said. "Wait, why should I go with Zee?" Ms. Marvel asked. "You did say that you want to ask Zee about her magic, and if it's like Doc Strange, remember?" Ghost-Spider told Ms. Marvel. "Oh, right." Ms. Marvel said. 'Why did I ask her that? I should've asked Jessica if she knew any members of the Nova corp.' she thought.
Soon, the girls split up to search for the strange cat monster. Right now, Green Lantern and Whirlwind was in the library, while using a construct candle to light the way. After a bit of looking around, she creates a flashlight construct. Then she heard a cat meowing around which made Green lantern startle for a little bit.
"Oh, thank goodness. It's only a cat." she said as she created a lantern. "Green Come on out, kitty-kitty." She was trying to get the cat to come. But then, the cat creature attacked Green Lantern and she gasped in fear as thunder was rumbling.
Meanwhile with Batgirl she notices Green Lantern's signal goes out. "That's weird." she said, until she notices something is coming her way. She gasped, then gulped, then gasped again as she walked backwards, and took out Baterang. She gasped in fear more until she stepped on the poster and screamed. That's when the monster was growling and came after her. Batgirl screamed and dropped her phone.
In the cafeteria, Ms. Marvel was checking around for the culprit, while Zatanna was behind Kamala in fear. "Kamala! I'm so scared." Zee said as she saw more claw marks. "What kind of villain would have deadly claws?" she asked. Ms. Marvel looks over the claws"Well there's Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red, basically any enemy of Wolverine and…" But as Ms. Marvel was going to continue with her claw based villains, the monster came to them!
Zatanna was screaming and blasting magic all around. Ms. Marvel then made her hand bigger. "Yo, Z duck!" Ms Marvel said as she then stretched her big hand to punch the monster But it did nothing as the monster growled in pain and ran out of the cafeteria. "After it!" Ms Marvel said. "Right!" Zatanna said as they both followed the monster.
Supergirl is currently searching the principal's office to find the monster, but to no avail. Until she hears the door open and closes. "Forget it, whatever you are. I have infrared vision too, sucka." she said as she uses it and spots the monster and tries to attack it but misses.
"You think you're fast? Well, I'm fast, too." she said as flies around the room and [tries to punch the monster but with no luck. Supergirl the monster to catch up. However, Zatanna, and Ms. Marvel were in the same direction as where Supergirl was coming!
"Ha!" she shouted as she blasted magic. That spell she cast froze Supergirl into a solid statue and she dropped to the ground.
"Oh!" she said until she gasped to see what happened. "Nice magic, but wrong target." Ms. Marvel said. "You need better aim Zatara!" she teased. 'Much more training like Doctor Strange.' she thought. Then they hear the monster growls which made Zatanna scream. Ms. Marvel used her giant hand and tried to punch it but it missed and it ran off. "You stay with Supergirl, I'm going after it." Ms. Marvel said. "But what if it hurts you." Zatanna said nervously.
"Don't worry, I bet it went to Ghost-Spider and Wonder Woman. I need you to stay and watch over Supes like a hero should. Trust me." she said with confidence. "Yeah your right, that was pretty brave of you." Zatanna said. "Thanks, Spider-Man taught me a thing or two." she then runs off to the monster.
Meanwhile, Bumblebee was checking the hallway for the monster. "Zatanna?" Bumblebee thought until thunder rumbling and the monster was there.
Bumblebee sees the monster and gets scared that she presses her button on her gauntlet and shrinks as she tries to hide. "Oh, no." she said with fear.
The monster was growling as she was looking around and Bumblebee was breathing heavily until she then said, "Phew! Okay. Okay, okay. Phew! Hero time!" and then screams and launches stingers but she gasps as the stingers did nothing to the beast!
The monster growls and attacks Bumblebee as thunder was rumbling and Bumblebee screamed. "Bumblebee!" Ms. Marvel said. Ghost-Spider then saw horror in her eyes as it sounded the same fate as her mother and best friend happened. 'No I'm not losing another loved one this time.' she thought to herself, then the three entered the room.
"Get away from her, you…" As Wonder Woman was about to finish, Out of the shadow, the monster appeared to be... The Cheetah, As she has Bumblebee in her mouth! "Cheetah?!" Wonder Woman thought. "Seriously a cheetah?" Ghost-Spider asked. "We could've at least called animal control!" she exclaimed.
Cheetah spits out Bumblebee and prepares to battle. "Come and get it." Ghost-Spider said as she generates bio energy into her fists and charges into battle. "GS wait!" Ms. Marvel shouted but it was too late as both were charging at each other, but then out of nowhere she then disappeared. Cheetah looked confused as she couldn't find her, but then she got kicked in the stomach and got punched around until she got knocked down by a punch of bio energy. That's when Ghost-Spider appeared right above the Cheetah. "And that's why I go by 'Ghost-Spider'" she said. However the Cheetah got up on all fours and growled as she looked angry. "Uh Oh!" Ghost-Spider said. As the Cheetah was about to lunge at her…"EMBIGGEN!" Ms. Marvel's hand was now big and pinned the Cheetah to the wall. Cheetah was struggling to get off but no luck. "I don't know how long I could hold it for much longer!" Ms. Marvel said. "Well guess it's time for the hunter to become the hunted." she generated bio energy on her feet and lunged for a kick, but the cheetah claws Ms. Marvel's hand to escape. "OW!" Ms. Marvel shouted as she brought her hand back to her to hold it, then the Cheetah quickly scratched Ghost-Spider's leg. Ghost-Spider grunts as she then falls down and is holding her leg in pain.
"Are you two alright?" Wonder Woman asked. "I think so?" Ghost-Spider said. "Don't worry about me D, I can heal." Ms. Marvel said. "Then get Ghost-Spider and Bumblebee to safety," Wonder Woman said. "But I can help you." Ms. Marvel said. "That wasn't a question. That's an order!" Wonder Woman told Ms. Marvel. "She's right, I'm in no shape to fight." Ghost-Spider said as she's still in pain. Ms. Marvel then took a breath and said, "alright then, can't argue right now." She then made her arms big and grabbed Ghost-Spider and Bumblebee and they left.
But then, Cheetah lunged at Wonder Woman, but she was able to dodge the incoming attacks using her bracelets. However, the Cheetah wouldn't give up that easily, so Wonder Woman started using her gymnastic stills to outrun her. Then, she caught it by the tail, and that was a huge mistake, as it started running around the gym, pulling Wonder Woman along. Then they both charged at each other, that's when Wonder Woman used a ramp for a final vault, Which she defeated the Cheetah, as well as scoring a perfect landing.
"Well, Cheetah, it appears cats don't always land on their-" Right before Wonder Woman was about to finish she gasped and noticed the Cheetah had left. Until she saw the door in the locker room was open. Wonder Woman went inside and saw that Barbi was unconscious on the floor!
Wonder Woman quickly changes into her Civilian outfit and goes to Barbi. "Diana, stay away. the monster…" Before Barbi could finish. "The Cheetah is gone, Barbi." Wonder Woman interrupted. "You're safe now." she told her. "Oh, Diana, this is all my fault. I released the Cheetah." Barbi said.
Diana was shocked as she gasped and said, "You, why?" "Because... I was jealous of you." Barbi answered. "You needn't be. One person's success does not preclude another's. Jealousy is a green-eyed monster that will consume you if you do not let it out." Diana exclaimed. "You're right, Diana. I'm sorry." Barbi said. Then there was some clattering around. "The Cheetah." Diana exclaimed. "Go, Diana. I'm fine. Just go." Barbi told Diana.
As Diana left the locker room and changed back into Wonder Woman, they caught up with the others, and noticed Supergirl's petrified state.
Wonder Woman gasped and said, "Supergirl?" "She can't hear you." Batgirl said. "She'll be fine. In about seven hours." Zatanna explained. "Well, at least we're all safe now." Ms. Marvel said. "Wait, whatever happened to the monster?" Zatanna asked. "She's escaped, for now, but surely, we will face her another way." Wonder Woman explained.
"Hope we don't see her again... Wait, how do you know she's a girl?" Ghost-Spider asked. "I felt it inside her, whoever she is." Wonder Woman said. As soon the rest of the girls went off with the frozen Kara, Ghost-Spider and Ms. Marvel started to have a conversation. "So how do you feel about Mr. Stacy's date coming over tomorrow?" Ms. Marvel asked, which made Gwen then think of how Barbi was so jealous of Diana. "I think I can handle it." Ghost-Spider said.
Meanwhile, back in the locker room, Barbi was washing up. "let go of the green-eyed monster, eh, Diana?"Barbi said as then, her eyes glowed an ominous green. Meaning only one thing... Barbi was the Cheetah. "And why would I ever want to let go of this?" she said as she laughed maniacally.
The next day, we see Gwen and her Dad finishing up setting up the table for tonight's dinner. "So how was the dance yesterday?" George asked. "You know what it was actually great." Gwen answered. "Really? How come?"George asked. "Let's just say we had an interesting party animal invited." She joked about what happened yesterday, which confused his dad a little bit. Until there was knocking at the door. "Oh that must be her." George said, as he went off to the door and did a little quick look at the mirror to check on something. "How do I look?" George asked. Gwen smiled and said, "you look great." George smiled back. Then he answered the door to see a Korean American woman at the door. "Ah Nari, it's good to see you." George greeted her. "I'd like to meet my daughter, Gwen." George introduced Gwen to Nari. "Hi." Gwen said. "Ah, Gwen, It's good to meet you, George told me all about you." Nari said while offering a handshake. "Thank you." Gwen accepted Nari's handshake. That's when a younger girl came next to Nari. "Oh, and uh, this is my daughter, Cindy Moon." Nari introduced. That's when Cindy silently waved to the two Stacys as she looked very shy.
As for the "10 years ago" it all happened before Peter got bitten by the radioactive spider, just in case y'all are wondering.
