Chapter 2
AN: Okay, I've given some serious thought about this and I think my pairings are going to be: Hermione/Eric, Pansy/Pam, Ginny/Godric. Sorry to take so long but inspiration was stubborn! LOL Anyway, hope you enjoy the chapter and it was worth the wait. Not sure if any more will be added so for now, consider this done. :)
Disclaimer: I make no money with this.

"So, what are we doing today?" Pansy asked her friends.
"Not sure, any ideas?" Hermione answered as she looked to Ginny.
"What? Why you lookin' at me?" Ginny wanted to know.
After a few minutes of pensive silence the three young witches broke out in laughter. They generally took turns deciding what they were going to do but, more times than not, Ginny would be the one to figure it out.
After a few minutes, they calmed down.
"Well, I might have an idea." Hermione hedged.
"Well, don't keep us waiting! What's caught your eye?" Pansy prompted.
"Yeah, 'Mione, spill already." Ginny added.
"Since we've visited the malls in the area," here she looked to her fellow travelers, "and the museums and galleries" she paused to point to herself as the other two rolled their eyes, "and we have been to quite a few bars and clubs..." Hermione trailed off.
"Yes, get on with it!" Pansy gave her a friendly shove.
"Come on 'Mione, tell us what you're thinking." Ginny whined, trying very hard to keep a straight face.
"Well, there's one type of bar we haven't been to yet." Hermione stated and when Ginny and Pansy just gave her blank stares, she sighed, "Vampire bars."
"Really!" Ginny screeched, causing Pansy and Hermione to wince, definitely Molly Weasley's daughter crossed both their minds.
"Do you have one in mind?" Pansy calmly asked but a hint of excitement tinged her voice.
"I do actually. There's one called Fangtasia that's having a karaoke night and I thought we could check it out. From what I read, Karaoke Night brings in more than the regulars." Hermione explained.
"Could be fun." Pansy tried to play off her intrigue. "But why point out about the regulars?"
Hermione smirked as she turned the laptop around so they could see a picture of the "normal" crowd standing, waiting to get in.
"Wow!" Pansy exclaimed as her nose wrinkled in disgust as Ginny did the same.
"Yeah, we'll be dressing better than that if we go." Hermione stated.
"Let's do it!" Ginny exclaimed as she bounced on her bed.
"What time should we get there?" Pansy wanted to know.
"From what I read, the sooner the better. They don't open the doors until nightfall but the line begins about two hours before." Hermione told them.
"Which means we only have an hour to get ready!" Pansy complained.
"You know you'll be good to go by that time." Ginny chided the witch.
"Beside the point. What should we wear?" Pansy asked.
"What we normally do, I would guess." Hermione answered.
The next hour was spent with the witches getting ready for a night at a vampire bar. They chose their clothes carefully, wanting to look good but nothing like what the normal patrons wore, which was close to nothing.
Hermione wore her hair in a long braid, Ginny having wrestled it into submission, along with black leather pants and a silk tank. She wore dragonhide boots on her feet that had four inch heels on them. Her makeup was subtle.
Ginny wore a black leather skirt, mid-thigh, with an ivory bustier. On her feet she went with a pair of four inch ivory heels. Her hair had braids on each side that pulled back into a single braid. Her makeup was a bit darker than Hermione's but would look great in the bar's lighting.
Pansy wore a spandex dress in Slytherin green. Her shoes were five inch stilettos of black Paton leather. She had left her hair down, enjoying the shine the lights in the room cast on it. Her makeup was dark like Ginny's.
Altogether, the three witches made a striking picture. They weren't out to hook up with anyone since this was their vacation before starting their careers. They just wanted to look good and have some fun. Once satisfied with their looks, they piled into their car and drove to the bar.
When they arrived, they couldn't believe the line that was already formed, it almost went around the building! Hermione found a place to park and the witches got out. As they were walking towards the back of the line, a vampiress walked out as the music started to play. As the line progressed, the witches got their ID's ready for inspection. When it was their turn to go in, the vampiress guarding the door looked them over before asking for ID.
"You're a ways from home." Pam stated.
"We're on vacation." Pansy purred. She had hooked up with a few females throughout their trip but the vampiress in front of her put all the others to shame.
"Are you now?" Pam purred back, enjoying the black haired beauty's flirtiness.
"We are and this is the last leg of it." Ginny added, understanding Pansy's attraction. Although Ginny didn't swing that way, she could still appreciate beauty when she saw it.
"Well, you ladies have fun tonight." Pam told them as she stamped their hands. As Pansy passed by her, Pam stated. "I'll look you up later."
Pansy gave a saucy wink and nod as she followed her friends into the bar. It was already busy with bodies moving to the beat and finding tables or booths to claim. The bar was so full the witches decided to find a place before getting drinks and then only one would do so.
Deciding on the booth that was one down from the end, Ginny chose to get their drinks. When she got to the bar, the vampire serving drinks asked her if she was driving when she got sodas to start them off with. She told him no but asked why and was told that sodas for a designated driver were on the House. After paying for their drinks, Ginny made her way to their booth as the dais in the center of the bar was set up with a karaoke machine.
Ginny gave a squeal when she saw this and gave her friends their drinks. "You gonna sing 'Mione?" she asked excitedly.
"I might." Hermione smirked.
"Oooh, a treat!" Pansy teased.
"Yeah, yeah. Both of you singing?" Hermione inquired.
"Of course!" both answered, laughing at their timing.
When the DJ announced that it was karaoke time, Ginny went up to pick songs for them. Just as she got to the list, two vampires walked out from the side and made their way to the booth next to theirs. All three couldn't help but notice how the crowd parted to the two beings just enough to not touch but just.
Ginny picked out their songs and headed back to their table, glancing towards the end booth. As she took in the two newcomers, she couldn't help but notice how gorgeous they looked. Although the blond wasn't her style, the brown haired one was. She noticed him following her as she made her way to her booth.
"Oh my gods! Did you see them?" Ginny frantically whispered to her friends.
"Couldn't really miss them." Pansy admitted.
"We saw." Hermione stated.
"Oh, don't act like the blond Adonis didn't catch your eye, 'Mione." Pansy chided in a low voice.
"I didn't say that." Hermione smirked. "The brown haired one caught Ginny's attention."
"Hell, yeah!" Ginny exclaimed, not the least bit shy about it.
The girls enjoyed a few of the ones who sang but most they wanted to cast a silencing charm on, they couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
"Alright, next up, Ginerva. Come on up hear Red." the DJ announced.
Ginny left the booth and weaved her way onto the stage. The song she chose was 'Bring Me to Life' by Evanescence. She had fallen in love with the song the first time she heard it. It drove Hermione and Pansy crazy that she requested it played daily but they obliged her and she would sing along with it every time.
Once started, Ginny found a pair of brown eyes watching her and listening intently. She found herself singing to the vampire who had caught her attention. As she sang, she felt herself longing to be in his embrace. If she hadn't known better, she would have thought he had her under his thrall but with so many around, she wouldn't be the only one affected. When the song finished, everyone gave her applause and a few whistles. She bowed before exiting the stage. As she neared her booth she shot a wink to her vampire and was thrilled when he returned it with a smile.
"Next up, we have Pansy! Come on up here, Pansy and show us what you got." the DJ called out.
Pansy made her way to the stage and looked ot the door where she saw her vampiress standing there watching her. The song Ginny had picked for her was 'Bitch' by Meredith Brooks. As she sang, she danced around but kept her eyes trained on Pam. When she finished, another loud round of applause happened and Pansy sauntered back to their booth after having received a wink from her vampiress.
"Alright, can we get three in a row of awesome singing?" the DJ asked, "Hermione, come on up here and do your thing!"
Hermione wove her way to the stage, daring to look toward the end booth on her way. When she saw the blond vampire lean forward, smirk at her then give her a wink, she returned it as she stepped up. The song Ginny had chosen for her was 'Cool Rider' by Michelle Pfeiffer from the movie Grease 2. Hermione couldn't help the chuckle that escaped as she sent a raised brow to Ginny who blew her a kiss. Shaking her head, knowing this was definitely her song, she grabbed the mike and started to sing.
Instead of looking out towards the crowd, Hermione turned her attention to the blond vampire who still wore the smirk. As she sang, she could have sworn his ice blue eyes had darkened, it gave her a thrill. When the song was over, Hermione took a bow and left the stage. On her way to her booth, she had several males to hit on her, just as Ginny and Pansy had.
When she sat down, the other two witches complimented her singing as she had done theirs.
"Wow! Talk about some vocal chords on those three! Alright, next up we have..." the DJ continued on but the girls had tuned him out.
"I think we have chosen our preferred dates." Pansy stated.
"You think?" Ginny retorted.
"Maybe." Hermione said.
"Maybe? Did you see how each of them watched us as we performed?" Pansy laughed.
"Yes, well, when introductions are done, then I'll believe it." Hermione stated with a smile. She hoped it would happen but wasn't as sold on it as the other two.
It was an hour later, after the three witches had turned down many requests for dates and dances, that Eric and Godric exited their booth and stood by theirs.
"Ladies" Eric greeted.
"Sheriff" Hermione returned, having realized why he seemed so familiar. He was the owner of Fangtasia as well as being the Area's Sheriff.
"Your accent, Hampstead?" Godric asked.
"It is." Hermione replied.
"Allow me to introduce us. I am Eric Northman and this is Godric." Eric stated.
"Pansy Parkinson, Ginerva Weasley and Hermione Granger." Hermione returned as she pointed to each witch.
"Are you ladies here visiting family, friends or on vacation?" Godric inquired.
"On vacation." Ginny answered.
"For how long?" Eric asked.
"Well, we haven't quite decided yet." Pansy told him. "Why?"
"Just curious, we do not get many Brits in here." Eric stated honestly.
"That all?" Ginny wanted to know, hoping it wasn't the only reason for their curiosity.
"Not at all. Would you ladies like to go somewhere a little quieter?" Godric proposed.
"What do you have in mind?" Hermione asked.
"Where the lady chooses: a park, a cafe, my bed.." Eric offered with a smirk and wink.
All three witches chuckled, "How about a cafe? A spot of tea sounds good." Hermione answered and couldn't help but laugh at Eric's pout.
"Excuse my Child, he forgets his manners in the presence of such beauty." Godric stated as his gaze took all three in and settled on Ginny.
"We'll see." Hermione chuckled.
"Sheriff, who is the vampiress at the door?" Pansy asked.
Eric smirked at her, "My Child, Pamela."
"You going to stay, Pans?" Ginny asked, learning her vampire of choice may not be able to leave.
"Thinking about it." Pansy answered truthfully.
Eric took his phone out and sent a text, the next moment; Pam was standing next to him.
"Care to join us at a cafe?" Eric asked his Child.
"I would." Pam answered as her gaze never wavered from the dark haired beauty.
"Then let us leave this place." Godric prompted.
The three witches left the booth and stood by the vampire of their choice. As the three couples left, there were several dirty looks sent their way. When Pansy smirked, Hermione and Ginny joined her. Eric led them through to the employee entrance and led them out. As soon as the door closed, all six relaxed a bit.
"May I ask what the smirks are for?" Pam wondered.
"Oh, just at the pitiful display in there." Ginny answered.
"Why is that?" Godric prodded, curious to the meaning behind her statement.
"We've been given better sneers and dirty looks from lesser people." Hermione answered while Ginny and Pansy nodded. The muggles had no clue how to properly sneer at anyone in their opinions.
Three squeals were let loose when all three vampires mounted motorcycles. As each witch approached, each vampire took their hand to help them on and all three patted a thigh of their witch. Once on the road, they drove for half an hour before pulling into an all night cafe.
As they entered, a server promptly took their orders and disappeared.
"So, the magical community still exists?" Godric asked quietly making all three witches snapped their eyes to his. He gave them a smile.
"What do you know of the magical community?" Hermione demanded, immediately on the defense.
"Easy, little witch, I am old enough to have interacted with your kind of magical." Godric told her. "It has been some time but I remember the aura given off."
The panicked looks left the witches as Hermione cast a Muffliato once the server brought their teas.
"How old are you?" Ginny had to ask. She knew the magical community had hidden itself in America the same time Britain had so that meant he had to be at least five to six centuries old.
"I am over two thousand years a vampire, Eric is over a thousand and Pamela is just over a century." Godric answered, noticing how they relaxed at the information.
"Really!" Hermione couldn't keep the excitement out of her voice.
"Really." Godric smiled. It was refreshing to have someone excited over their ages.
"Now you've done it!" Pansy teased.
"Hey! I can't help it! They've seen and done so much!" Hermione defended herself good naturedly.
Ginny snorted, "Really, 'Mione, you'll give them no peace now."
"Enjoy learning do you?" Eric smiled at her enthusiasm.
"Yes, yes, I do." Hermione stated proudly. She wasn't ashamed of her thirst for knowledge and had learned experience was just a different sort of knowledge.
The three couples chatted at the cafe for several hours with each witch taking down the Muffliato spell when needed and replacing it so no one heard what they shouldn't. The last thing they wanted was for MCUSA to come down on them for breaking the Statute of Secrecy.
When they finally decided to leave, each mounted their bike and decided to ride around Shreveport and the surrounding areas, giving their witch a unique tour of the city. Due to being magical, each witch cast a spell to allow them to converse while traveling. It made for an interesting night. After several hours riding around, they agreed it was time to turn in. Instead of taking the witches back to their hotel, Eric led the trio of bikes to his home.
Once in the garage, the two vampires and one vampiress picked their chosen witch up in their arms and sped to their rooms; enjoying the squeals their actions caused.
After several hours of carnal pleasure, each witch passed out next to their partner, completely sated and considering staying.
At "breakfast" the next afternoon, Hermione, Pansy and Ginny discussed what was weighing on their minds.
"You know, I'm seriously thinking of staying here." Hermione started.
"Me too." Pansy stated.
"I don't know." Ginny admitted.
"You're worried about your family?" Hermione asked with a knowing look.
"I am. What if they don't approve?" Ginny asked.
"You think they won't approve of you dating an ancient vampire?" Pansy wanted to know; she was fairly certain the Weasleys wouldn't have a problem from what she had seen of them but it had never been something to wonder about until now, maybe she was wrong..
"No, that they'll accept or they won't." Ginny answered. "No, what I'm worried about is how mum will react to me being in a different country."
"Ah, well, that's easy." Pansy told her and continued when Ginny just looked at her. "Have a floo installed and make it international, then you're just a floo call or visit away."
Ginny face-palmed, "Why didn't I think of that?"
"Your still on the high of last night? Er, this morning? Whatever!" Hermione chuckled.
"Probably" Ginny admitted with a smirk.
"Alright, so we're all thinking of staying, what if it doesn't work out? What if they don't want anything serious?" Pansy threw out there.
"Well, then we enjoy the time we have and move on if that's what it is." Hermione answered logically. "Although I don't think that will be the case."
"Why not?" Ginny wanted to know. She loved the way her best and oldest friend's mind worked.
"Call it instinct, a hunch, whatever but I really don't think they are looking to toss us to the curb just yet." she clarified.
"Hope your right." Ginny stated. "Last night, all of last night, was fun. I can't remember the last time I felt so at ease or safe around anyone, you two not included."
"I second that." Pansy agreed.
"Then let's not worry about it. Besides, if it bothers you so much, we can always ask." Hermione told them.
"We could always ask." Ginny restated with a nod, feeling better about the situation.
The witches sat at the kitchen island and enjoyed their food. Thankful that Hermione never went anywhere without her trusty beaded bag. All their stuff was in it, that way, if they decided to just leave, there was no need to go back to the hotel; once, in the very beginning of their trip, was enough. They always left the keys on a nightstand or dresser since they could use a spell to open the doors.
After eating, each witch took a turn in the bathroom before lounging in the living room as they waited for their partner to rise for the day.
Godric was the first to greet them, much to Ginny's delight. As he sat next to his witch, the conversation flowed easily between them. Hermione, Pansy and Ginny learned that as a vampire aged, the pull of the sun lessened so they are able to rise earlier. He explained that after two millennia, he only "slept" for a few hours. He explained that he normally used the time to go into downtime since it was a secret all vampires guarded fiercely.
It was an hour and a half later that Eric joined the small group, sitting Hermione in his lap.
"So when will Pam rise?" Pansy asked.
"She is still quite young and will rise only a few minutes before sunset." Eric answered and chuckled at Pansy's pout.
"Well, that's just not fair at all." she retorted, barely suppressing her smile.
"Deal with it, Pans." Ginny snorted as she snuggled into Godric more, causing everyone to chuckle.
The group chatted about trivial things until Pam joined them. It was then that Eric joined Pam in drinking some donor blood before rejoining the others with Eric placing Hermione on his lap as Pam did the same with Pansy much to their witch's delight. Ginny had made her way onto Godric's lap by then too.
"Do you ladies have anything planned for today?" Godric asked.
"Nope." Ginny answered.
"Nothing?" Eric prodded.
"Nothing." Hermione confirmed.
"Whatever shall we do with our time?" Pam snarked.
"Whatever we want." Pansy smiled.
"That's the whole reason for this trip, we do what we want when we want, answering to no one but ourselves." Ginny informed.
"Is that so?" Eric smirked at the spunky red-head.
"It is." Hermione stated.
"You know, no one ever said how long your vacation will last or how long you have been on it." Pam looked to each witch.
"That would be because we're not sure.' Hermione shared. "As far as how long we have been on our vacation, well, it's been almost two years now."
"Why so long?" Godric asked, truly curious.
"Let's see..." Hermione started, "Probably because a Second Wizarding War started brewing when we were just starting Hogwarts and finally came to a head just as our seventh year came to an end. Or, it could be we wanted to get away from the wizarding world and it's stifling ways. Maybe it was just to take time for us to heal and have a bit of fun before deciding what career to have." Hermione stated not unkindly.
"Some excellent reasons you have. I would guess it would be all the above." Eric commented.
"And you'd be right." Pansy told him.
The witches spent the next several hours sharing their stories with the vampires, each one with their own horrors, trauma and scars. To their amazement, Eric, Godric and Pam all listened intently, allowing their emotions to show at what their witch had gone through.
When the stories had been told and questions answered, silence fell over the group.
"What are your plans for the future?" Eric asked no one in general.
"Well, we were actually discussing that earlier." Ginny stated.
"How so?" Pam asked.
"Actually, we were wondering what you wanted? Are we just distractions? Something to break up the boredom or is there a chance for more?" Pansy told them. It did no good to dance around the subject, the sooner they got an answer, the sooner they would know which direction to take.
"Would you be interested in something more?" Godric asked.
"We would, actually. You?" Hermione answered as she looked Eric in the eye.
"Do not think you will escape me so easily, little witch." Eric answered her and reveled in the smile beamed at him.
"I certainly wouldn't mind a serious relationship." Pam stated as she pulled Pansy tighter against her.
Ginny leaned forward to see Godric's face, "I have no intentions of letting you go, Ginerva Weasley. I am afraid you are quite stuck with me."
Ginny placed a gentle kiss on his lips as she snuggled into this chest and sighed when his arms tightened around her.
"It's settled then, we're staying here." Pansy stated.
"So who's going to tell my mum?" Ginny wondered aloud.
Hermione and Pansy both pointed their fingers at her. "Cowards." Ginny sighed.
"When it comes to Molly Weasley, yes!" Hermione and Pansy said together.
"Your mother that scary?" Pam asked.
"She can be, yes. She is the mother of seven children, all red heads too." Ginny admitted with a chuckle.
"And a set of twins." Pansy added.
"The Pranking Pair, Troublesome Duo, Jokers Both..." Hermione listed off a few of the names the twins had been given over the years.
"They sound like they would be fun to know." Pam admitted.
"Oh, they are, now. It took them a bit to learn that any sort of harmful pranks wasn't cool." Hermione shared.
"How many of their pranks did you confiscate while being a Prefect?" Pansy wondered.
"Too many." Hermione answered.
"What sort of pranks?" Eric perked up. He and Pam were known to have pranking wars from time to time.
"I'll get you a catalog." Ginny told him and chuckled at the look in Eric's eyes and then flat out laughed at Pam's. However, when she looked Godric in the eye, she smirked at the deviousness shining there.
"Oh, this will be fun." Pansy laughed.
"It could be. Fred and George have some pretty fantastic stuff." Hermione admitted.
"Is their store successful?" Eric asked with a calculating look.
"Very." Pansy answered. "You looking to invest?" She adored the Weasley twins and had no problem helping them expand, everyone needed laughter in their lives. America could do with several WWW around, not that the various joke stores they had come across were bad but they didn't match up to the Weasley twins genius.
"Possibly. Do they have only the one store?" Godric wanted to know.
"No, they opened one in Hogsmeade." Ginny shared.
"Where's the flag store?" Pam wanted to know.
"In Diagon Alley." Ginny told them
"Would they be interested in opening locations in the States?" Eric asked.
"Most likely but you'd have to ask them." Ginny answered.
"We will, soon." Godric told her.
"Oh, speaking of communication with our friends and family, Eric, would you be willing to install a floo?" Hermione asked.
"I would, just tell me who to contact and it will be done." Eric smiled at his witch.
"Shall we tell them to make it international?" Pam wondered aloud.
"That would be ideal but sometimes they can be a bit weird about it. Well, at least in Britain they can be, not sure about here." Hermione stated.
"I do not think it will be a problem." Godric stated which made Pam snort.
"You have both been around for a long time, I'm sure it will be no problem for either of you to navigate the wizarding world's politics, rules and regulations." Pansy admitted.
"It is slightly easier than vampire politics, rules and regulations." Godric shared.
As the conversation moved on to what the witches planned on doing now that they were staying, it became quite animated.
Pam was beyond ecstatic that Pansy wanted to open her own high-end boutique and they went off into their own little world planning the details, Pam willing to back her one hundred percent.
When Eric prodded Hermione, she wasn't sure. She had considered working at the Ministry but nixed it now that she would be staying in America and didn't really want to work at MCUSA. She shared that she had also considered being a healer but the amount of hours a healer or medi-witch had to put in wasn't appealing to her any longer. Then she finally admitted to her true dream, opening a book store that carried both muggle and wizard books. Eric surprised her by offering to step down from being Sheriff. He was bored with the job now and had been for some time and it would be no hardship to him. It was then that Hermione learned just how financially well off her vampire was, not that she was a slouch but hers was but a drop in the bucket to his. Eric would make any pureblood family look like paupers.
While the others were caught up in discussing their future business ventures, Godric nudged Ginny. She admitted that she had thought she would play for the Holyhead Harpies but it was no longer feasible. When asked why, she told her vampire about Quidditch and the traveling required and she wasn't ready to be away from him that long or her friends. She had come to enjoy being around Hermione and Pansy too much to leave them like that.
Godric gave her a smirk worthy of Salazar Slytherin as he led her to Eric's backyard. To her absolute pleasure, his yard was big enough to set up a Quidditch field. The other two couples stopped talking when they heard her squeal and chuckled as she dashed outside with glee.
Noticing what had their friend so excited, Hermione and Pansy joined Ginny on the grass.
"You do realize that once all the boys see what you're planning, they'll be over constantly." Hermione told Ginny.
"So! It'd be so worth it!" Ginny all but yelled in her excitement.
As Pansy looked around, she grinned, "This is large enough to do a Pitch and hold the entire Weasley brood."
"That many, eh?" Pam asked.
"Let's see, there's mum and dad, the seven of us kids and their families. Bill is married with two sprogs, Charlie is engaged with a sprog on the way, Fred and George are dating, Ron is married and has two sprogs." Ginny ticked off on her fingers. "Oh, and Percy just got engaged and mum is already hounding him for babies."
"Don't forget Harry, Draco, Neville, Seamus, Dean, and Luna." Hermione added.
"Didn't she help to commentate in school?" Pansy asked.
"She did." Hermione answered as her and Ginny chuckled. Luna's commentating was different but she did make it entertaining.
Ginny turned to her companions, "So...care to help me?"
Hermione and Pansy rolled their eyes but let their wands drop down. Godric, Eric and Pan watched in awe as their witches used magic to set up a Quidditch Pitch. They marveled at how easy the three magicals made it seem. After the pitch was done, Ginny asked Hermione for her broom and promptly flew several laps, laughing the whole time. Those on the ground chuckled at the squeal Ginny gave when Godric paced her with a large grin.
"Do either of you fly?" Pam asked.
"We do." Pansy answered as she held her hand out to Hermione.
Hermione handed Pansy her broom and Pansy promptly saddled it as she held her hand out for Pam who quirked a brow but allowed herself to be guided on. Pansy laughed when she lifted off and flew them around, a bit slower than Ginny, but both enjoyed the feeling.
When Hermione looked to Eric, he had a brow cocked and was a foot off the ground. Smirking at her vampire, realizing he could fly like his Maker, Hermione mounted her broom and took off like a shot. It had taken being around Pansy and Ginny for the last two years, three if you counted Hogwarts, to finally give flying another chance. She had bought a broom and had found that it was a completely different experience. HER broom followed her commands fluidly and Hermione had found herself feeling quite safe on it.
She laughed heartily when Eric flew in front of her, smirking. The three witches and their vampires enjoyed flying around the pitch until it was time to eat. Landing, they all agreed that a Quidditch match was in order very soon.
Eric leaned against the counter as Hermione pulled pans out while Godric leaned against the sink as Ginny prepared some vegetables. Pam leaned on the island as Pansy sorted the foods to be divvied up to be cooked. The two witches had never cooked before their road trip but had learned a lot from Hermione, who loved to cook. Of course, each had their strong suits but they had learned to work well together. In no time, Hermione had a nice meal cooking on the stove.
Conversation had flowed easily between the couples while preparation was done and then throughout the meal. Just as they were about to sit to eat, Eric sent a text off to the Department of Travel to find out about a floo being installed and it being made international. By the end of the meal, he had received a text stating that someone would be out in two hours to set up his fireplace, if that was acceptable. Eric replied it was and Hermione spelled the area clean.
At exactly two hours later, a transportation tech apparated to Eric's home and was allowed in. It took an hour for the system to be installed and tested. The tech started to inform Eric of the wards that could be cast when Hermione interrupted him.
"I will see to the wards, thank you." she stated.
"Are you sure, miss? Some can be quite difficult to cast." The tech replied in a gentle but non-condescending tone.
"She's Hermione Granger, of course she's sure." Pansy shared and everyone smirked at the tech's surprise.
"My apologies, Miss Granger, I'm sure you know how to cast whatever wards are needed." the tech apologized. "However, if you should need help, please do not hesitate to ask." he added as he handed her a card.
When Hermione just raised her brow, the tech clarified. "Just tap your wand to it and I'll know to floo call or send a patronus."
"Clever." Hermione's voice showed her surprise. "Thank you."
"My pleasure. Anything else I can help you with tonight?" the tech asked.
"Not at the moment, however, if I choose to install a floo in one of my homes, should I call upon you?" Godric asked.
"I would be honored, Sheriff Godric, to install a floo for you. Call anytime." The tech answered as he handed Godric his card.
The rest of the night was spent enjoying great company and excellent conversations.

After showering and eating, Hermione, Ginny and Pansy sat in the living room and chatted.
"So, will you be the first to test the floo, Ginny?" Pansy asked.
"Ahhhh, yeah, no. I'm not ready to see my family just yet." Ginny answered, making all of them laugh.
"I could try it out." Hermione volunteered.
"Who you going to call on?" Ginny wondered.
"I thought I might try Harry, let him know where we're at." Hermione shared.
"It has been awhile, he's probably starting to worry." Pansy commented with a knowing look.
"I'm sure he is." Ginny added with a laugh.
"Yeah, you'd think he was your brother or something." Pansy smirked.
"Like Blaise, Draco and Theo think of you?" Hermione countered with her own smirk.
"True." Pansy agreed with a sigh.
Hermione walked over to the floo and tossed some powder in, "Number Twelve Grimmauld Place, Harry Potter's Residence."
"Hermione?" Harry answered.
"Hey, Harry, thought it was time to check in with you." Hermione smiled.
"Yeah, I was starting to get worried." Harry answered and chuckled at her raised brow. "What? I worry when you take too long!"
Hermione laughed and then laughed harder when Harry was shoved out of the way and a platinum blond head came into view.
"'Bout time you check in, Granger!"
"Hello to you too, Draco. Would you like to speak with Pansy?" she asked.
"That would be nice, please." Draco answered.
Hermione looked over her shoulder and smirked at Pansy's "put out" look as she rose to join her.
"Draco, Blaise and Theo with you?" Pansy asked.
"They are." Draco answered as two more heads joined his.
"Hey, Pans! We were close to sending a search party for your arse!" Theo stated but his smile caused it to not have any sting.
"I'm sure. As you three can see, we are all just fine." Pansy told them and then laughed when her three were shoved out of the way for two red heads.
"Ginny with you still?" a twin asked.
"I'm still here, you prats!" Ginny called out but chose to walk to the floo, knowing her twin brothers wouldn't be happy until they saw her.
"Hey Gin!"
"Long time"
"No see"
"Sis"
"Hey, Fred, George. How's the store? Mum, Dad?" Ginny asked as she shook her head.
"Everything and everyone is great! Although mum's starting to ask us if you've decided when you're returning." Fred shared.
"Really?" she asked.
"Honest!" Fred answered.
"Yeah, it's not like you've been gone for two years or anything." George commented with a laugh.
"True." was all Ginny would say.
"So, when will the three of you come back?" Fred wanted to know.
"Yeah, about that..." Hermione started.
"What?"
"Don't"
"leave"
"us"
"hangin'" the twins prompted.
Hermione shared a look with Ginny and Pansy and they all nodded. "Tell you what, why don't we call you all back in, say, an hour, and we'll tell you more." Hermione hedged.
"An hour!"
"Why an hour?" the twins asked and was chorused by those kneeling behind them.
"Because we" she paused to point at the her friends and herself, "need to have a chat and can't do that while talking with you lot."
"Alright, 'Mione, we'll give you an hour but no more!" Harry told her with a serious look, letting her know that he would use his Auror status to find which floo she was using.
"One hour, Harry!" Hermione demanded, knowing her "brother" could get impatient.
"See you then." The twins stated as they shoved everyone away and closed the connection.
"Alright, ladies, it looks like our time to decide is upon us." Hermione told her friends.
"Well, our vampires seem sincere in wanting more with us; I say we give it a go." Pansy stated.
"I agree. I'm not ready to let Godric go anytime soon either." Ginny added.
"I agree as well. I'm quite interested in learning more about Eric and, well, no one really compares to him, especially back home." Hermione told them.
"Now we just need to make sure our vampires are okay with the boys coming over to visit so we can explain things to them." Ginny said.
The three witches chatted over their decision for the next hour when Godric joined their discussion. He was pleased that the floo seemed to be working just fine and had no problem with meeting the friends who had become family to his lovely witch and her friends.
Two hours later found three vampires and their witches watching as a gaggle of young wizards tumbled out of the floo. Once everyone was settled, Hermione made introductions.
"Alright, gentlemen," Hermione gave the wizards a pointed look making everyone chuckle, "Allow me to introduce you to Godric, Eric Northman and Pamela Swynford de Beaufort." she pointed to each one before turning her attention to the wizards.
"This motley crew is: Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott, Fred Weasley, George Weasley and Blaise Zabini." she stated as she pointed to each wizard who gave some form of acknowledgment.
After pleasantries were exchanged, Harry spoke up. "Alright, 'Mione, what's going on?"
"Yeah, Ginny, what are you not telling us?" Fred and George asked.
"Pans?" Draco, Blaise and Theo all gave the witch pointed looks.
"Hold your brooms, boys, we're getting to that." Hermione scolded them and all six wizards cringed at the look she was giving them as she tapped her wrist.
Harry held his hands up in surrender, which the others chuckled at, "No need to give us that look, 'Mione, we're just really curious, that's all." Harry stated as the others nodded their heads.
Hermione chuckled, "I know and we're getting to it." then she walked over to Eric who pulled her into his lap.
The three witches stayed quiet for a few moments as they watched their "boys" squirm with unconcealed curiosity.
Taking pity on them, Ginny spoke up, "Alright, you lot, the news is that we are not returning to wizarding Britain."
The six wizards had varying degrees of surprise and suspicion cross their faces.
"We're staying here." Pansy filled in.
"With our vampires." Hermione added with a smirk.
All six wizards started talking over each other once the shock had worn off. After a few moments, Theo slid his wand down, unnoticed by his friends and cast a silencing charm over them. When they all sent looks of irritation of some degree his way, Theo smirked.
"Now, that's better." Theo stated as he made a show of stowing his wand. "Hermione, Ginny and Pansy, this is your wish? This is what you truly want?" he asked.
"It is"
"Yes"
"Absolutely"
Were the replies he received. Theo gave them a nod as he leaned forward to address the vampires before him.
"Very well." he stated as he eyes met Godric's, Eric's and Pam's, "Know this, vampires, we" here he pointed to himself and the other wizards, "do not care how old you are or what experiences you have. We care only that you take care of our witches the way they should be taken care of." When he got a nod from each, he continued, "Do not think that just because we are young that we wouldn't be able to bring you to your knees if you fail at this." his voice was velvet over steel, softly spoken but with conviction.
Godric noticed the young wizard's tone, posture and eyes; all spoke to enforce his promise to them and he was happy to note that Eric and Pam were taking the threat seriously.
"I have no doubt you have the means to back up your threat but know this, we would not ever intentionally put our witch in harm's way." Godric told the soft spoken wizard.
Theo locked eyes with Godric before he gave a quick nod and cancelled the silencing spell.
"You know what we could do." Fred stated, noticing the seriousness the vampires gave Nott's words.
"We do, yes." Eric answered.
"Good." Draco said as he realized Godric meant what he said and the other two agreed with the ancient being.
"We'd really hate to have to show just what we learned fighting in a war." Harry calmly stated but his voice held no love in it.
Hermione, Ginny and Pansy all exchanged looks before they walked over to their family and gave them all tight hugs. It was nice to see how protective the wizards were over them.
Once sitting back with their vampires, questions were asked and answered for a few hours before Ginny couldn't hold back any longer.
"What's up Gin?" Blaise asked.
"Come with me!" Ginny demanded as they all rose and followed her into Eric's backyard.
When everyone was outside, Hermione waved her wand to show the hidden Quidditch pitch. The six wizards all whooped in excitement and started chattering joyously.
"Merlin! You witches don't do anything half way!" Draco commented with a wide smile.
"You're"
"forgiven" the twins stated as they hugged their sister.
"So, 'Mione, how long did this take you?" Harry asked as he swung an arm around her shoulders.
"It wasn't just me, Harry." Hermione answered returning the one arm hug.
"No, but you did most of it." Draco stated with Ginny and Pansy nodding their heads.
"With so much room, it really didn't take long, actually." Hermione shared, a slight tint to her cheeks from the praise.
"You did great, sis!" George and Fred praised her as they crushed her between them.
"So, who all will be playing here?" Blaise wondered.
"Well, we figured it's big enough for everyone, if Eric doesn't mind." Ginny told them as she eyed Eric.
"I have no problems with it." Eric stated and enjoyed the waves of joy coming off the magicals.
"Awesome!" Harry said excitedly.
"Of course, you do realize that such an invitation will have the entire Weasley brood here, right?" Fred informed Eric.
"I do, yes." Eric smirked.
"That means meeting the parents." Draco chimed in as he looked to Godric and Eric.
"I have no doubt." Godric chuckled.
"Will it be a problem?" Eric asked.
"Nope." Harry answered. "But, Molly is quite protective of her children." he added as he looked to Hermione and Ginny.
"As to be expected." Godric said.
"You included Hermione in that." Pam noticed.
"Of course!"
"'Mione is"
"our"
"adopted"
"sister" the twins explained.
"Yeah, she's been part of the family since she was a little firstie." Fred shared with a fond look.
"But don't think Molly Weasley hasn't taken Pansy under her wing as well." Theo added.
"So, who's up for a pickup game?" Draco asked.
"Gin, you have any equipment?" Fred asked his sister.
"Sure do. 'Mione?" Ginny answered.
Hermione smirked and pointed to a small shed that held the brooms, quaffles, beater's bats and a snitch. When the wizards ran to the shed, the three couples laughed at their eagerness.
It wasn't long before everything was explained to Eric and Godric with Pam being the commentator since she couldn't fly. It was a fun game that found Godric and Eric promising to not use their vampire speed and sight to their team's advantage. It was split up evenly and everyone had a blast. After the game completed and showers were taken, Draco called his house elf to bring some food for them all.
It was quite late when the wizards stepped back through the floo with the promise that the following Saturday, the Weasley gang would return, in full, and proper introductions could happen.

The following four days had the three couples enjoying spending time together and getting to know each other. Hermione, of course, peppered all three vampires with questions about their time as vampires and humans. It amazed her the diversity they had in such a small group.
When the weekend came around, as promised, the boys returned with family in tow. The whole Weasley brood was there (making sure the youngest Weasley was taken care of), Narcissa (who insisted on meeting the new beings in her son's friends' lives), Andromeda (who was there for Harry and, in a sense, Hermione) with Teddy, Pansy's Mother (who once freed of her husband's yoke, was able to be the unbiased witch she truly was), Doctors Michael and Helena Granger (who had their memories back and had forgiven their daughter once a gaggle of wizards had visited them to explain things from both sides) and finally, Minerva McGonagall (who was making sure her former students were not being taken advantage of).
Once everyone showed up and introductions made, the three vampires braced themselves for interrogation or threats. They didn't mind; they actually appreciated those who would stand up to beings such as them on the behalf of their witches.
Molly Weasley was the first to approach.
"I understand you are interested in courting my daughter?" Molly asked Godric.
"It's called dating, mum, not courting!" Ginny quickly corrected her mother.
"I am, however you wish to call it." Godric answered.
"You plan to treat her right? Take care of her the way she is meant to be?" Molly demanded.
"For as long as she will have me, yes." Godric told the matriarch.
Molly stared at the ancient vampire for a moment before she walked up to him and pulled him into a hug. "Then welcome to the family." she said.
"Ginny's the only girl in a family of brothers." Arthur stated as he eyed the two millennia old being.
"She is." Godric agreed.
"You understand what that will mean for you if you ever hurt her, right?" Bill asked as he stood next to his father as the other Weasley boys stood behind him.
Godric looked over the group of redheads before answering, noticing the varying degrees of threat leveled his way, "I have complete understanding of my True Death happening should I harm Ginerva."
"It's not just Ginny we'd avenge, either." Charlie stated as he eyed the other two vampires. Hermione and Pansy may not be blood but they had become family.
"We understand as well." Eric answered for him and Pam as she nodded her head.
"Excellent." Arthur concluded the protective warning-threat session.
Narcissa approached the three vampires after the Weasleys disbanded, along with Andromeda and Pansy's mother. "I will also add my threat at this time, as well." She stated as she sized up the three beings in front of her. "Hurt any of them and you will have the three of us to deal with as well."
"Probably before the Weasleys can get to you." Pansy's mum added.
"And we come from families with dark backgrounds." Andromeda said as she pointedly caught each vampire in her stare.
"Message received, madams." Godric stated as he gave them a respectful nod. Eric, Pam and he knew that the three witches before them posed a greater threat than any of the others, not that the others wouldn't back up their own warnings.
"As it should be." Narcissa responded as her demeanor changed and she engaged them in talk of the supernatural world versus the magical.
The day and night ran smoothly after all warning and threats were delivered, much to everyone's relief. Godric, Eric and Pam all got along with those in attendance. Even if they hadn't been dating their witches, the group gathered was worth knowing and they enjoyed the happiness that flowed easily amongst the group. Although they couldn't partake of Molly Weasley's cooking, they were able to enjoy the smells of her food.
As the night started to wind down, Eric made sure to extend an invitation to all those present to visit whenever they wanted. After two meals had been served, snacks devoured, exciting and stimulating conversations had and several games of Quidditch played, everyone went their separate ways with smiles and hugs all around.
