A/N: Hi everyone! I'm back (on)!

It's been so long since I've posted a story (here on and AO3) and I've finally got that spark to write again! This time, it's a Bleach story! I got into Bleach last year and I honestly love it! My favorite character is Rukia lol. My favorite arc is TYBW and another favorite of mine was introduced in that arc: Bambietta Basterbine. I absolutely love her, as well as the rest of the Bambies. I wish we got more of her lol. Eventually I started shipping her with Uryu and came up with a lot of headcanons for them in my head and eventually that led me to come up with two story ideas for them. And this is one of them!

This story is set in a modern setting where Soul Reapers, Quincies, Espadas, and all that jazz do not exist. Everyone is just living regular lives in the post 10-year time-skip setting. I'm also taking aspects of the canon material and using them here in this story (Uryu being a pediatrician, Ichigo being a translator, Ichigo and Orihime being married with a kid, etc.). I also don't know how many chapters this story will end up being, but we'll get to the end when we get to the end. I hope you all enjoy my very first Bleach story!

"Bambi, wait!" Cried Meninas.

But it was to no avail as Bambietta ran out of the apartment, slamming the door behind her.

"Bambi!" Meninas shouted, rushing towards the front door. "Bambi! Bambi, come back!" She shouted, opening the door and poking her head out.

"Meni, just let her go," Liltotto said from her spot on the couch.

"Let her go?!" Meninas asked, looking back at her, "She lives in the Mashiba District and she rode her bike here! She can't-!"

"That's her problem," Candice interrupted, leaning against the wall, "If she wants to be dramatic, let her be dramatic."

"What?!" Meninas exclaimed, turning her attention towards her green-haired friend, "Do you hear yourself?! Do you know how far Mashiba is from here?!"

"It's not that far at all," Candice shrugged, rolling her eyes, "Mashiba is right next to us here in Kasazaki."

"Candice-!"

"Meni, just drop it," Giselle said, lying down on the carpet in front of their television.

"But-!"

"You know how she can get, Meni," Liltotto said, flipping through the TV channels using the remote, "Just let her cool off."

Meninas stared at her, then at Giselle, and then Candice, seeing that all of them were serious in what they said. She sighed and closed the door. She then looked towards their shoe rack and noticed a key and umbrella that were forgotten by her friend.

"But…it's raining…"

Bambietta burst through the door and was immediately pelted with rain. But that didn't matter to her as she ran down the road. She didn't care that it was raining. She didn't care that she was getting soaked. She didn't care that the journey back to her place was longer by foot. She didn't care about anything. She just wanted to get away from that apartment and away from them.

"They always do this…they always do this…"

Tears escaped her eyes, mixing with the rain drops that pelted her face as she continued running for who knows how long. She was so consumed in her emotions that she wasn't paying any attention to her surroundings; Meaning she didn't notice the car coming down a particular road she crossed without looking.

The car honked its horn, startling Bambietta. She let out a yelp and fell to the ground in a fright as screeching sounds filled the air.

"I hate driving in the rain," Uryu said to himself as he slowly drove down a road in the Kasazaki District. "But you are well worth it," he said as he looked at his takeout food sitting securely on the back seat of his car through his rear-view mirror.

Uryu is a hard-working pediatrician at Karakura General Hospital and this weekend was the first weekend he had off in a long time. To treat himself, he went over to his favorite takeout place in the Kasazaki District to get himself two orders of Hamburger Steak and Rice. One for tonight and the other for tomorrow. He's been craving it for a while now and a rainy night like tonight was not going to stop him from getting it.

He continued his drive down the road, slowly making his way back to the Mashiba District where he lived. His journey back home was taking a little longer than usual due to him deciding to take the back way home, but he didn't mind as it allowed him to enjoy the scenery of the neighborhood around him.

He was coming up to a crosswalk intersection when a girl suddenly ran into the street in front of him. Gasping in surprise he honked his horn and hit his breaks, his car screeching to a stop. He saw the girl falling to the ground in response before his car came to a complete stop. For a moment he sat there breathing hard, shocked at what almost happened. Eventually he snapped out of it, remembering that the girl ended up falling to the ground in front of his car.

"Holy-!" He said to himself, swiftly unbuckling his seat belt. He exited his car and ran to the front of it to see the girl slowly pushing herself into a sitting position. He rushed over to her and kneeled in front of her.

"Are you alright?!"

The girl only groaned in response, eyes closed shut with her teeth bared. She then rested her hand on her hand on the side of her head.

"Are you alright?!" He asked again, grabbing her shoulders to steady her, "What were you thinking?! Just running out into the road like that without looking! What if I didn't stop in time, huh? Don't you-!"

He stopped after getting a good look at the girl. Even with her eyes closed, the glasses on her face (how they didn't fall of he'll never know), and her hair drenched from the rain, he recognized her.

It...it couldn't be…

"B-Bambi?" He said softly, "Bambietta Basterbine?"

At the sound of her name, the girl slowly opened her eyes, blinking a little as her vision cleared up. Once it did, she looked at the guy closely and after a moment she gasped, eyes widening in shock.

"U-Uryu Ishida?"

A/N: It seems like Uryu and Bambietta know each other. But how? And what will they do now that they've run into each other on this rainy night?
