Hi everyone how are you doing?
This chapter will commence the development of Britta's relationship with Sam. Starting with the former admitting as to what led up to her being outside in that terrible weather.
Disclaimer: I don't own "Riverdale" or "Cobra Kai".
Setting: Riverdale
Location: City Centre Motor Hotel-A Motel Located On Riverdale's South Side
Sam continued driving around while Britta was seated in the passenger seat beside her. Eventually she managed to locate a decent appearing motel, which Britta recognized as the City Centre Motor Hotel and informed the former of upon seeing it, and turning her vehicle parked in front of it.
She and Britta then exited Sam's vehicle and made their way inside of the motel. Upon entry they moved towards the counter in front where an auburn haired employee in her late thirties was situated behind it.
Seeing the other 2 women approaching the counter, she turned her attention towards them.
"Room for 2 and for tonight I assume?" she politely questioned them and graced them with a warm smile.
"That would be correct and if you'd be so kind please," Sam confirmed and returned the other woman's smile.
The latter nodded and after further confirmation that it'd only be for the night and following Sam paying the appropriate rent price for the room, she gave Sam the pertaining room keys. The latter thanking her for them before directing herself and Britta back outside and passing the adjoining rooms until they arrived at the one designated to them.
Once they'd entered and closed the door behind them, Sam turned towards Britta.
"Why don't you go into the bathroom and dry yourself up alright? In addition to removing those damp clothes from your body. We don't don't want you catching pneumonia after all. Plus I also have some clothes with me which I'd be glad to share with you," she suggested then gestured towards the pertaining bathroom. Along with handing her a fresh set of women's blue jeans and a red blouse which she'd removed from her vehicle before they'd entered the motel.
"Thanks Miss LaRusso," Britta responded gratefully while taking the offered clothes before going to the bathroom and closing its door behind her.
As she switched out her current attire and dried her body, Sam meanwhile took out a couple of small thermos cups containing some steaming hot coco. One for Britta and the other one for herself.
Both drinks also had milk, cinnamon, and honey incorporated within them.
Britta later emerged from the bathroom wearing her new fresh and dry clothing. After which Sam had handed her one of the thermos, informing her of its contents, which she accepted with a small smile. The 2 of them then sat upon the bed and began consuming their drinks. Sam questioning her as to whether or not she was currently warm and comfortable enough. To which Britta confirmed she was and thanked Sam for her kindness once more. Including protecting her from those thugs.
After a while, Sam turned towards Britta.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'm very much interested as to why you were out there in the darkness and torrential downpour," she began and warmly addressed the younger woman. Curious regarding the reason she was out there in the first place.
In response Britta looked down nervously, her heart beginning to beat rapidly, before her emotions overwhelmed her and she found herself crying softly. To which Sam scooted closer towards her and wrapping her own arm around her shoulders pulled her into her side.
"It's alright Britta. Just take your time," she softly encouraged the teen. Continuing to hold her close.
Britta eventually managed to regain control of her emotions and after wiping away her remaining tears opened her mouth and began sharing everything that had transpired that evening. First starting with how she'd ended up residing with the 3 older women. Including due to her parents kicking her out. How Cheryl had welcomed her in following Toni arranging for that. Along with them and Heather having provided her with not only a home but also an overflow of love, friendship, and camaraderie.
Afterwards she then, albeit slowly and nervously, confessed how she'd come upon them enjoying a heated threesome amongst themselves. Though without revealing graphic details over what she'd witnessed. How she'd spied on them and had, to her now tremendous shame, pleasured herself while observing their encounter, and the severe anger they'd, though primarily Cheryl and Toni, displayed towards her upon catching her in the act.
The young woman also told Sam about how harsh they'd gone at her. Cheryl loudly and viciously screaming at and insulting her. Toni's own aggression including wrapping her own hand around the back of Britta's neck and all of the words they said to her. Lashing out at her with intensity and which included the ugly name calling. And finally how Cheryl had fired her followed by Heather unceremoniously throwing her out into the torrential downpour outside.
She did not tell Sam about how Cheryl had unleashed fire from her hand as though, to Britta at least, she was going to burn her alive. Having no desire for the knowledge of her former mistress's abilities to become widespread. Plus she felt she more than owed it to Cheryl considering what she'd done.
Sam listened patiently, continuing to hold Britta close as she absorbed all the teen was sharing. Taking a deep breath and shaking her head in disappointment over what Britta had done to her former mistress and the other woman's girlfriends. Though she also understood why the former had given into temptation. That while it was wrong and crossed a line, it was nonetheless a natural aspect of human weakness and especially for a growing and hormonal teen. Particularly one who was within the age range of when they'd explore their sexuality.
However, she found herself deeply concerned by Cheryl's and her partners actions. Frowning as Britta had described what had transpired between herself and them. Feeling they'd not only failed to handle the matter in an appropriate fashion but had also crossed certain lines themselves. Their own response and its sheer ruthlessness being something Sam absolutely could not condone.
She'd also found herself highly disturbed by the combination of the insults which had been hurled at Britta, how Toni had laid hands upon her, and especially poor Britta being not only tossed out into the night but also into the intense rainfall outside. The final one being the biggest line they'd crossed as far as Sam was concerned. And a significantly serious issue for that matter.
She could also tell that Britta was withholding something from her. Something which had terrorized her when the older women had confronted her. But clearly having no desire to reveal to her the nature of its source.
Sam decided to respect that however. Understanding that Britta must've had a solid reason for keeping it to herself.
Nevertheless she was able to ascertain that whatever it was must've been far more serious than Toni not only clutching the back of Britta's neck but also having behaved as though she was going to strike her face.
What Britta did wasn't right of course. Yet Sam also found the young woman's hosts response to be borderline cruel. Something she couldn't condone either. Therefore but to her there was a significant amount of blame to go around pertaining to that situation.
Once Britta had concluded her story regarding what had transpired that evening, Sam gently grasped ahold of her face, a palm resting upon each side, and directed her head towards herself.
"I'm so sorry all of that happened to you. Truly I am. It doesn't change the fact that what you did was wrong though and I can understand and agree on why they were angry with you. You did cross a line and break their trust. And particularly by pleasuring yourself while watching them. You do understand that, don't you?" She sympathetically stated to Britta. Using her fingers to gently remove the tears streaming from her eyes. Then continued seriously before questioning her. Hoping the teen understood the seriousness of her actions.
Britta nodded tearfully in response. Feeling even worse.
Sam in response returned her nod. Then continued further. Her voice transitioning to a compassionate tone.
"Nevertheless I'm not condemning you and I do understand why you did it. You are a young teenager whose physical development and sexuality is continuing to emerge. Not to mention you'd probably never witnessed anything truly sexual before and especially something like a threesome. And that had to have resulted in a major impact upon your body and in turn its reaction. All of which is perfectly natural and nothing to be ashamed of. It doesn't make what you did acceptable of course, but please believe me when I say that I completely understand arousal, sexual urges, and temptation. Though what's important is that we learn to control those desires instead of allowing them to reign over us. In turn crossing lines we shouldn't like what you did tonight.
"That being said, but the way the 3 women behaved towards you, while justifiable in their anger, was absolutely unacceptable in regards to their actions and aggression. And whatever it was they did that really frightened you, besides what you'd just shared with me, all I can say is that they should've exercised greater control over themselves.
"In fact but based upon what you've told me, they're not innocent either. And while you greatly wronged them, they also severely wronged you.
"Furthermore but they definitely should not have thrown you outside and particularly during a major thunderstorm. Not to mention the potential dangers that can regrettably manifest themselves during the blackness of night. Even when there's no thunderstorm. Dangers such as what you were almost forced to endure at the hands of those young men you'd encountered this evening. In fact but I don't even understand why they didn't confine you to your room then figure out how to proceed afterwards. Or wait until morning. Rather than the action they chose instead. One which endangered you.
"There's also the fact that you're a minor and I assume you have no way to properly fend for yourself. Frankly they handled the entire situation horribly and in so many ways. And once more I'm deeply sorry."
Britta sniffled a bit. Feeling slightly comforted following Sam's words.
"It's alright. Besides I betrayed them and so I actually got what I deserved. I'm a terribly horrid person like my former mistress said and frankly but I received my just dues and it's entirely my own fault," she replied with a shrug. Then tearfully insisted in regards to Cheryl's, Toni's, and Heather's actions. Still feeling tremendous guilt.
"Don't say that. I do not believe you're a horrid person and the fact that you're clearly remorseful and contrite reinforces it," Sam firmly yet gently countered. Emphasizing her words with a piercing stare. "And while actions definitely should have consequences what happened in regards to you however was nonetheless excessive."
"At the end of the day, you experienced a significant error in judgement and did something you shouldn't have. But you've repented and now you must learn to forgive yourself and use what transpired as a learning experience for you to carry with you for the remainder of your life. Alright?"
Britta nodded in acquiescence. Still feeling emotional yet relived Sam did not view her as someone odious. The older woman meanwhile continued to hold her against her side. Rubbing soothing circles upon her back and rocking her a bit as the former comforted the 17 year old young woman.
They also continued consuming their drinks until their cups were empty.
Afterwards and now that Britta was entirely warmed up and feeling better emotionally, Sam suggested that they retire for the evening and go to bed.
Britta readily agreed and after selecting their beds they positioned themselves underneath the covers. Falling asleep before long while the rain continued to pour outside and the thunder continuously rumbled.
The Following Morning
Awakening the next morning, the 2 women had removed themselves from their covers and had lifted themselves out of their respective beds. After which they'd stared out their window and saw, to their pleasant surprise, that the thunderstorm outside had abated and the weather was bright and sunny with beautiful and clear blue skies.
They'd then taken turns washing their faces in the bathroom and straightening out their attire before Sam suggested that they go out for breakfast. To which Britta agreed to while her stomach growled in response. Sam on her part chuckling at said growl.
They'd then left their room and upon exiting the motel returned to Sam's vehicle. Getting inside they drove into the main area of the town and ended up at Pop's Chocolit Shoppe.
Upon seeing the diner Britta suddenly found herself becoming nervous. Informing Sam that one of her former mistresses closest friends, Tabitha Tate, was its owner. Afraid they might've told her what had transpired between the 4 women the previous evening.
Sam however responded and told her she shouldn't worry about it but if that was the case they'd cross that bridge when they came to it. Convincing Britta to trust her.
They then entered the diner and to Britta's surprise she saw that Tabitha wasn't present. But rather the new manager she'd recently hired to assist herself and her uncle Pops. A friendly young man in his mid twenties and sporting a goatee. He'd greeted Britta upon seeing her and informed her that Tabitha had decided to take the day off but had left him in charge.
He also greeted Sam who returned it then invited them to be seated while he took their orders.
The women did as he suggested and after situating themselves upon one of the booths they both ordered two pancakes each with two slices of bacon. Including some milk for Britta and orange juice for Sam.
The manager took their orders and a few minutes later returned with their breakfast. Along with some butter, maple syrup, blueberries, and raspberries. They thanked him and then after adding the butter, berries, and syrup onto their pancakes began consuming them. Enjoying every morsel.
As they ate, Sam spoke up and presented her with a proposition.
"In light of what transpired between yourself and your former mistresses, including them not wanting to have anything further to do with you, how would you like to accompany me on my current travels? You see but I'm currently enjoying a road trip across the states and that's part of the reason why I'm here in Upstate New York.
"It would provide you an opportunity get away from everything for a time and possibly even serve as a positive distraction for you. In addition to providing your former hosts an opportunity to cool down and preceding any attempts at reconciliation. The distance hopefully proving to be good for both yourself and them. Not to mention that you shouldn't have to be on your own and especially since you're not 18 yet. Nor do I want to see you in the system.
"Afterwards we can return here and ascertain if there's any way you can make peace with them. What do you say?"
Britta could not deny that the offer was tempting. And Sam had just made some compelling and inarguable points. Besides but now that she was severely estranged from both her parents and her ex mistresses there was nowhere else for her to go. Nor anything still tying her to Riverdale.
Furthermore but the idea of being within the system was not something that appealed to her and she'd prefer if she could avoid that.
As for Sam's suggestion at reconciliation and while Britta appreciated the sentiment, she did not see any way for that to happen. For she'd hurt them too much as far as she was concerned. Not believing they'd ever forgive her. That especially being clear to her when Cheryl unleashed fire from her hand.
Bearing all of that in mind, there was only one feasible response to the older woman's suggestion.
"Considering everything that's happened, and since I don't think even my parents will accept me for who I am, there's honestly no reason for me to remain here. And so I accept your offer Miss LaRusso," she accepted with a small smile.
Sam nodded in response.
"That's settled then," she declared. "Now let's finish up these delicious pancakes and we'll be on our way."
Britta agreed and they finished consuming their breakfast. Afterwards Sam paid the bill for their meal followed by them exiting the diner and getting back inside their vehicle and driving off.
Little did Britta know that her acceptance of Sam's offer had just set into motion the commencement of the journey towards her own destiny. One she currently wasn't aware of but would when that time arrived.
