Chapter 74

Where's My Hero?

The crash was rather annoying. Thankfully, Harry was in a standard Javelin, and they were built surprisingly well, and reinforced since they were adapted for interdimensional travel. He sighed as he brushed down his suit. "You ladies, okay?" he asked, and Galatea and Kara nodded, and he smiled and kissed them each on the lips, for which they enjoyed as they sat either side of him, before he unbuckled himself and stood in the dark.

"Pilot!" Harry called.

"Yeah, just some bruised ribs according to the lab scans!" he said with the sound of a grimace over the speaker. "A burst of unexpected energy hit us as we exited the Divergence. Autopilot went down and I just about regained manual control, thankfully for me, because I don't have any superpowers."

"Good," Harry said in relief. "We'll get you some treatment, and a large bonus once we get home," he said, "so, Seraph, don't fake being injured in the slightest. I built your body, and I know how powerful it is."

She pouted as Kara laughed. "Okay, flattery does get you places. My other self is trying to uplink a full connection to this world, but they are surprisingly advanced for a civilization that has foregone the thought of space travel for a superhero society."

"What?" he asked, baffled.

Seraph shrugged as she tore herself from her broken seatbelt and stood. "About eighty percent of this planet's population has powers… they call it a Quirk. They were rather advanced in space travel until superpowers… now they've chosen… well, it's like playing cowboys or pirates… and they chose superheroes rather than space explorers. When they should have chosen superhero space explorers."

Harry rubbed his brow in annoyance; that was rather silly, but he could hang out with Luke and Tony to take the piss out of them another time. However, he was about to reply when he heard tearing metal and a panicked voice.

Hello! Is anyone in there? Are you okay? I'm a trainee hero student from U.A. High! You crashed on school property!

"Wow," Harry murmured as Galatea and Kara joined them, "this is like the mutant version of Hogwarts, but it's not quite the same, and it's a bit silly. Can you pick up Mahoutokoro from this side? Because I'm pretty sure those kids are speaking Japanese."

"No," Seraph said with a frown. "I can detect magic, but magical beings… on this Earth at least, other than yourself, do not exist, unless there's a Magical Quirk or something that hasn't been registered. I should also say that use of powers is prohibited to unlicensed civilians outside of private institutions that allow such or their homes."

Harry frowned because he didn't like the thought. "That's like chaining someone's limbs," he said with a shake of his head. "What if you were born with wings, and they made it a crime to fly?" he asked, shivering at the thought, as the side compartment was smashed in and the door pulled free to reveal a smiling green-haired boy.

He said, "Thank goodness!" Everyone seemed to be… wait, the pilots?

"Pilot," Harry corrected. "We have contact; he's okay, just some bruises. The shuttle practically flies itself, but something hit us. Something like an energy shockwave?"

The boy grimaced and his eyes widened. "Oh no… I missed it, but, at least Eri would have loved the show," he said, changing the subject terribly, as if he may have been partly responsible.

"Young Midoriya!" called a new voice, an adult this time, as a broken-looking man entered, skinny and looking exhausted.

"All-Might!" Midoriya exclaimed in surprise. "I was fighting to… to keep the show going, and… I think we knocked this plane down."

"To call this a plane, is to do it a miscarriage of justice," Harry said with a smirk. "This is… or was a transdimensional space shuttle," he said, causing them both to gasp.

"Harry, this man is extremely broken," Seraph said, further shocking them. "He will be dead within a year or so without treatment. Using his mutant powers has likely been…pushing the hands of time forward."

"All-Might?" Midoriya asked in dread and horror.

"There is no cure for you, young Midoriya," he said sadly as the green-haired boy's eyes welled up with tears.

About three months in a regeneration chamber while in a forced coma would be sufficient," Seraph said with a shrug. "His genetic mutation seems to be out of balance too, likely because his power is passable, and he gave it to the boy, but with a tiny tweak we could bring him back to full strength, without that genetic strain."

"How did you hear about One For All?" All Might demanded in concern.

Seraph moved closer, and smiled gently. "One For All is an amazing power in this reality, but meh, in others… as it is, at least. These two young ladies," she said, pointing to Kara and Galatea, "are both Kryptonians… in other words, aliens, and they have powers… as in strength surpassing All-Might at his prime… but they can also fly, shoot heat from their eyes, freeze with their breath and move faster than most beings on any Earth, and they're almost invulnerable to anything."

"Impossible," Midoriya said, his voice quavering. "Humans gave up on the existence of aliens a long time ago."

Harry smiled. "Ah, looks like our backup shuttle has arrived," he said in amusement. "Ladies, if you could escort our guests, I believe All-Might will be able to rally this world's greatest warriors for when the invasion starts."

Kara and Galatea nodded while Seraph moved to collect the Pilot, and with that, the metal of the jet crumbled as the Kryptonian girls grabbed All-Might and disciple with Seraph bringing the pilot, and flew up into a new jet with Harry following while looking amused, but not as amused as when All-Might and Midoriya realized they were really in space, after a confused five minutes. Then they watched in awe as colors swirled and blasted around the shuttle, and then splashed away, and their jaws dropped as they got a crash course in what they would be up against as they saw a massive space station orbiting this new Earth with huge starships in high orbit with people all over the hulls in slickly designed spacesuits, making repairs with other smaller ships pulling into place new components or hull plating.

"All-Might?" Midoriya asked while whimpering, "Why would we give up on something like this?"

He shook his head and said, "I do not even know why we just trusted them like that." He glanced over at Harry. "You really have the medical technology to save my life?"

Harry grinned. "You'll be back to fighting crime and saving lives before you know it, or in about three months for your treatment and an extra couple of weeks for some physical therapy. All we ask in return, is that you do that whole smiling thing and big muscle deal, and put your moral code away for a short while because, whatever is coming for us, it will kill, and you will have to kill as well."

All Might nodded his head sadly as they had been briefed on the horrors to come and couldn't bring himself to look at his student. "We shall do what must be done to protect our Earths - to protect those who cannot protect themselves," he declared. "That is what a true hero does. They are not born, made, or paid... they act without reason, because if they don't, no one else shall!" he declared and Midoriya found tears in his eyes, but didn't understand them this time. He cried over so much, but here and now, he couldn't understand. "They will put aside their own morality to defend those they love... the people who need them..."

Harry gave the man a sad smile and patted his shoulder. "I'm sorry either of us has to go through this… I would love to just hang out at my labs day in day out making amazing new gadgets, or hanging with my sister and parents, having a normal life, or just going out on dates with my girls here," he said and Galatea and Kara smiled. "But until that invasion fleet has been destroyed and those who don't die imprisoned for war crimes or whatever, we can't enjoy our personal lives so freely."

All Might nodded in agreement. "I know, but while I'm gone…who will help Young Midoriya?"

"I think I know the perfect sparring partners," Harry said with glee, causing Midoriya to gulp.

It had been a few weeks since All-Might went into the capsule thing, and Midoriya had managed to talk to his friends as his new planetary divergence was given a new planetary code, so he could keep in contact; he was pretty much getting his ass handed to him daily by Amanda Potter and Ginny Weasley in their armored forms, and even in their mystic forms, even when just one on one.

However, he was up against Amanda that morning, as she was in her mystic form, and was much more agile than him. Kara and Galatea were also watching, waiting their turns at him as he panted for breath and blazed with green lightning, trying to hit the young woman.

"That just won't do, Midoriya!" Harry interrupted, causing Amanda and Midoriya to stop. Harry smirked as he threw a green bracelet at Midoriya, who caught it in surprise. "Sometimes, the clothes do make the man. Put that on, and then give it a try. I noticed you have those bracers to help deflect any excess energy from your own powers."

Midoriya frowned but put on the bracelet, and it formed to fit him perfectly before it lit up, and left him in tight, form-fitting green armor with a mouthpiece that seemed to be filtering the oxygen, and a hood covering his hair, and two glowing green lenses providing him with amazing tactical data. He moved, and shattered the solid metal wall in front of him, bending it before falling to the ground with wide eyes.

Standing up, Midoriya looked himself over in awe. "This armour… I felt the impact, but it didn't hurt like it would have before… and this computer on my head, it's like it… reads my needs, but it's outpacing me because… because I don't fully understand that this armour is supporting my own body against my own strength."

"Then let me help test out your new power!" Galatea said with a dark grin as she took Amanda's place, and Midoriya gulped as he had learned pretty quickly that on these other Earths, All-Might would have been a beloved hero, but never the number one. "Do not threaten, as I will only defend myself."

That would be best, as Cornelia could make some patches to the suit's firmware, Harry said with a nod.

"Come on, when's my turn?" Superboy asked as he watched with Kid Flash while they had been brought over to help train the new kid; one could help with brute strength, and the other with ridiculous speed, since the others could only train with him for a couple hours at a time, and the three of them got along well enough; well, Kid Flash and Midoriya were fast becoming best friends, and Midoriya actually liked having a best friend who didn't yell and have anger management issues.

"I think I still have a bruise from last time," Midoriya said, pouting.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Bella Swan woke with a yawn, and smiled as Alice snuggled into her warm naked body with her cool one. "Good morning, Alice," she said lovingly kissing her sweet lips. "But you do know you don't have to lie with me all night; you can't sleep, so at least play some video games, or watch some TV, as long as you keep the brightness down and the volume low enough to enjoy it without bothering me with your super senses, or practice some of your 'ninja' ways? Doesn't Blade want you to train some more for your monster hunting trips?"

Alice groaned. "Yeah, but I'll be heading away for a few weeks, soon," she said sadly. "I'm going to an Earth where magic is based on demonology, and Emmett and Rosalie are apparently tagging along for some extra… well, they want to look after me. But we have Willow, and she's powerful… I really like her; she's rather protective of her friends."

Bella sighed and pouted, "Yeah, I know, I like her too, but maybe I should go with Lindsey and Misty?"

Alice smiled gently, "No, you don't belong here yet, my love; Holly would only end up joining us, and well, too many of us being noticed."

As Alice leaned in to kiss her, she replied quickly. "Okay, but, if you don't get some training, I'll have to send you to Peak Earth, and have you train with Supergirl, instead," she said sheepishly.

Okay, I'll train," she said, picking up her phone from the bedside table and sending a quick text. Blade had mentioned that this Morpheus mutant vampire guy would be joining us for the next few weeks with his team, until our trip, so it could be fun, I suppose... You could join us, and cheer me on? We could head to Alucard's bar after and see how Jasper is settling in as a 'host'? I'm sure Alucard can spare us a table if we ask her?"

I smiled and kissed my vampire once more. "I think I would like that, and I can help you and the other supernaturals train, by throwing constructs at you?"

"Blade would probably find that rather helpful, to be honest," Alice agreed with a grin as she snuggled her face into her girlfriend's tits; in Bella's arms, Alice found her bliss. "I love you, Bella! So much!"

She replied, "I love you too, Alice," and it wasn't long before they were all over each other, kissing and sucking, and licking, and squirming.

However, while Alice and Bella were having a little too much fun, Lyra had a quandary. She had no idea how she was going to deal with having more than one girl madly in love with her to such an extent that they all pretty much snuck into her bed at night and molested her; not that she didn't consent, because she did, but would they want her to choose just one when she loved them all so much? How could she consent to hurt so many girls who she loved so deeply, and that left her in a room where Gwen was giggling hysterically, as she brought her fears to her.

Lyra exclaimed, "Gwen! This is serious... I love them all, and the thought of hurting even one breaks my heart!"

Gwen calmed and smiled sadly. "Did they ask you to choose?" she asked softly.

Lyra looked surprised. "Well, no," she said.

"Then have them all," Gwen said with a shrug. "Tori says she has never known her sister to be as happy as she is when she's with you and those other girls who have no idea what subtlety is. Maybe, sometimes, a lucky duck like you has more than one soulmate."

"This is a little more than just a little," Gwen replied sadly when Gwen surprised her, by pulling her into her arms and hugging her, remembering how Lyra had looked after her through her own "girl issues" too.

"I love you, Lyra, and if I hadn't found Astoria, I know I would have wanted you, too," Gwen said cheekily. "You're too adorable and irresistible. You could make those girls happier than anyone. You can be extremely happy with each of them; so don't be a twit. Tonight, when they slip into your bed, tell them that you love them all, and put their fears to rest. Then fuck them senseless until they've all cum so hard they pass out in bliss, snuggled lovingly within your cute little arms, mumbling your name in their sleep."

Lyra looked embarrassed as she nodded in agreement.

A few months later, All-Might stepped out of the healing chamber, staggering slightly. Though he was thinner than before, there was still a noticeable amount of muscle on his body, and the carved indent of his ribs was gone. All-Might grinned as he flexed, and his body beefed up with powerful muscles. The whites of his eyes were once again white, and his eyes returned to their original blue color.

"Have no fear," he roared out in glee with a huge grin, causing Midoriya to look on in awe. The muscles then disappeared, and he looked like he was about to pass out; Midoriya quickly caught him before he fell.

"Don't worry," the doctor quickly said as he helped Midoriya help All-Might into a bed. "He'll just need a few weeks of rest and some light exercise before he's back in peak form; he's only just recovered from something that probably should have killed him years ago. Dealing with All-Might's medical needs has likely advanced medical science by at least fifty years, so you should be proud of your father."

"What?" Midoriya asked as he watched the man drift between wakefulness and unconsciousness. "All-Might isn't my dad."

The man frowned at his tablet. "DNA records say otherwise," he said. "This man is your biological father; there's no denying it."

It was a while later that All-Might finally woke up to see Midoriya sitting by his side and just staring. "Your mother had been in a bad place after her husband cheated on her," All-Might said, knowing the boy knew. "I saved her from herself… and one thing led to another, and… I wanted to be part of your life, but she told me the people needed me more… that she would be enough. The thing that hurts the most is, out of everyone who wanted All-Might… she was the only one I wanted – she was a normal, but amazing woman, and after everything, she raised you to become such an amazing hero… a proper hero who didn't need money or fame or glory to save a life… I'm so very proud of you, Midoriya, my son."

He said gently, "I didn't know who you were when I chose you... but when I found out, and with your hard work, I was so proud. You became one of my sons... One for All... someone I now realize will rival heroes from other realms... all I can ask, though I don't deserve it, is for you to fight by my side during the coming conflict."

The green-haired boy could only cry into his hero's hospital-issue pajamas, and hold him tightly while nodding his head.

They spotted him standing by the door—a large man with flaming red hair and a goatee in a blue and red costume. "Endeavour!" he exclaimed in surprise.

"So, I'm not the only screw-up of a father," he said coolly. "But at least yours loves you."

"Mr. Todoroki!" interrupted an annoyed-looking nurse, "Put that fire out! There's a no ridiculous dangerous party tricks rule within the hospital!" she ordered, and he grimaced, as his flames quickly splashed away, leaving him just a red-haired man in a weird costume, before she continued on her way.

Of course, All Might chuckled. "So how has the Number One Hero been doing?" he asked with a cheeky smirk.

Endeavour groaned as he took a seat and slumped. "I stopped a tour bus from plowing into a building on my way, as some morons who run the company seem to be rather lax about maintenance; the brakes failed. Then the police showed up with some ambulances to deal with the people on board, and they thanked me, and for the first time, ever, the paramedics insisted on seeing to me, even though it was nothing—I'm not registered with the MPF, so my act of…heroism was apparently just a nice guy in the right place at the right time…it felt strange…but the press still managed to get to me, so at least something's the same."

"Two days ago, I came over to see you," he said thoughtfully. "They said you would be waking up soon, so... back to full power. I wanted to learn about the world I was going to, so I did some research on the flight over, through space and reality. I saw footage of a man flying through the sky. I saw a man... apparently a mutant... which is pretty much what we are to them... He was... a villain, and he tore the Golden Gate Bridge apart, and bent its metal, moving its destination to Alcatraz. I think it would have taken a miracle for the two of us to fend him off. There are beings so powerful that they might as well be gods... and that's not mentioning actual gods, and even magic. There is no Number One anymore. The heroes here, they don't ask for glory or money... those funded get paid, but as if they were part of normal law enforcement, with new laws and regulations, allowing for MPF operatives to use reasonably excessive force against powered beings."

Yes," said All-Might. "Our whole society has no choice but to change. I heard that The League of Villains have all been rounded up and taken to The Crater Super Prison."

"Eri's here with Lemillion!" Midoriya exclaimed. "Eri's being taught to control her power by a couple of psychics at a school for mutants… but Lemillion… the drug made from Eri… the doctors here reverse engineered it from Lemillion's blood, and made a cure, and if you take it, it will make you immune to the other drug permanently. There's this girl who can temporarily absorb powers helping Eri, by cutting Eri's powers in half, and learning to use them with her, and Eri is having so much fun with so many people looking after her, and showing her such a good time… she's even calling Rogue… the girl helping her, 'Big Sister.' I'm so happy for her."

Endeavour stared at the boy in awe and shock. "And I thought curing my rival was a miracle to ponder. But then… we have these aliens who are pulling too many universes into one just to destroy our world. Some theorize that in our universes, that our Earths are in the dead center, which is a fluke beyond possibility that more than two or three could exist… but here we are, living within the lap of creation, multiple times over?"

to be continued...
