Izuku huffed as he watched over the construction efforts reshaping the facility. A massive silo for the rocket now resided where the central elevator had been. A massive number of R and Bs were crawling all along the silo, reinforcing the walls with highly resistant material. Down below, resting on a frame of metal, was the first piece of the rocket.
Izuku turned back, the lab around him filled with more drones hard at work. A massive tank filled with a experimental propellant took up a full third of the room. "What's the status on our Zero Gravity Drones?" he inquired. "Zero-G Drones are still in the experimental phase. Proper fueling for the maneuvering thrusters has proven difficult." One of the drones replied. "Understood, what of the Rocket's maneuvering thrusters?" Izuku asked. "Small fuel tanks are being created for the rocket, fuel has been synthesized for these tanks." Another drone replied. Izuku felt his brow twitched for a second. "Set up air tanks for the Zero-G Drones, see what difference that will make." he instructed. "Understood." The two drones replied.
Izuku walked out of the lab, a small group of drones trailing behind him. He had too take a small detour due to reconstruction efforts of the lab. Various hallways had been reshaped or cut off in order to accommodate the rocket silo. With a calm hand he opened a nearby hatch and climbed into one of the recently installed Jeffreys' Tube. The tube was thin, only large enough for him to shimmer through it with his body straightened out. He could here his entourage of Drones follow after him.
In only a few minutes he was now on his stomach, crawling towards a large hatch. With far less effort he opened it and crawled out. Taking a moment to stretch before he continued forward. "I really need those hallways finished." he muttered before he found himself in front of the training room.
Walking in he found Tsutsumi hard at work with a small army of Cell Jnrs. When the first one had awakened they were somewhat panicked, the amount of power contained in even one of these beings was impressive after all. Yet unlike Cell the Jnrs were completely obedient, always following orders as instructed.
The fact that they can be convinced with good tasting food was another bonus.
"How have they been treating you?" Izuku inquired. Tsutsumi looked at him before signaling for the Jnrs to take a break. "They've been fine, a bit rambunctious but nothing too bad." Tsutsumi replied. "Just anxious for Cell to return so you can dump them on him?" Izuku joked. "Precisely." Tsutsumi replied.
Cell munched through the bone of his current steak. He laid back in the bed of the hotel room Re-Destro had been kind enough to give him. He had spent his entire time spying of the MLA with luxurious food at the ready. Yet there remained a problem to his efforts. Neither the MLA nor the League of Villains had done anything since.
He could call it a Cold War between the villain groups, but the League had already attacked the MLA before.
While he wouldn't admit it, the silence was rather stress inducing. Who knew what the League was planning for their attack? What the MLA had cooking up to counter them? Or the counter measures his Master was preparing on his own?
Cell took a moment to shake his head and slapped his forehead. "Ha, who am I kidding? Japan is going to hell. Its infested with the worst criminals from all over Asia, International heroes sprawling in from all over the globe. The HPSC, locked in a shadow war with the various other hero communities. All powerless in the face of my Masters ambitions." Cell Murmured before standing up.
He walked towards the phone and dialed the same number he had dialed many times before. "Hello room service, this is Cell from room 218. I would like three large seafood platters delivered too my room." Cell called in.
What, he can't be sure how much longer he'll be here. Might as well gorge himself on fancy food with Re Destro's credit card while he has the chance.
"Run simulation again." Izuku ordered. The screen in front of him rewinding before turning too black. The screen lit up and began playing the simulation of the rocket launch. Izuku's eyes narrowed as the silo was aligned with launch parameters before the rocket was prepped.
It started well, the silo being deep enough for the Facility to be protected the flames and heat of the rocket engines. The rocket soared through the air, pieces of its self slowly being lost as soon as they ran out of fuel. The rocket reached the outer atmosphere, breaching farther out of the planet.
Then it stopped.
The rocket just stopped.
It still had all the fuel it needed. It was only a short distance away from the proposed location of the Serenity. The low gravity vacuum of earth's outer orbit wasn't presenting any problems for the navigation or propellant systems.
Why did it keep stopping just short of its goal?
Was it the stellar debris from the past? Was the weight of the passengers too great for the rocket to handle?
"Possible cause of stoppage?" Izuku inquired. "The Serenity Labs possessed a powerful defense system that would interfere with any ship that approached without proper authorization. Simulation is running with such parameters in mind." The computer responded. "Where did this information come from?" Izuku inquired with an annoyed twitch of his brow. "A.I. designated Starscream had passed such information too the simulation program. Possible counters required." The computer reported. Izuku felt his eye fully twitch before he ran a hand through his hair.
"Possible counters?" Izuku inquired while making a mental note to double back on Starscream's current actions. "Hacking into the old network and copying the codes, Using a special scrambler to prevent the Serenity Lab from gaining awareness of the rocket." The computer listed. "Run simulation without the Serenity defenses in mind." Izuku instructed. "Understood." The computer replied.
Izuku huffed as the simulation began again. The rocket launched successfully, the Facility taking minimal damage from the launch, and made it out of atmosphere. It navigated it's way through the debris of old space junk and reached the Serenity Lab. He smiled, knowing that he was another step closer.
"Now, run simulation with addition countermeasures in mind." Izuku instructed while pulling out a tablet. He sent a quick command to the rest of the facility and began modifying the rocket's design. "Well Starscream, if you're wrong I'll be mad. If you're right then I'll have too thank you." he muttered.
He had a few countermeasures in mind, both ones that the computer suggested and some of his own.
The another thought struck him.
"Computer, is it possible to began construction on a weaponized satellite system after the claiming of the Serenity Lab?" Izuku inquired. "Possible, unknown amount of materials required is unknown." The Computer replied. "Well, just another thing to keep in mind I guess." Izuku said before leaning back. Watching as the newest simulation played out.
He had a whole set of R and Bs specially modified to function in Zero Gravity, it would be a waste to just launch them into space and leave them there with nothing too do.
Tomura smiled as he had the last of the Noumus gathered for the first assault. He had Twice working hard for the past week just tripling their numbers for this assault. These were to be his spearhead, the all powerful strike that would topple the MLA in one go.
Behind the sea of Noumus were numerous crooks, mercenaries, and other such villains all ready to fight for the either the League's ideals or for their own gain. Kurogiri stood at the ready, three different villains armed with potent boosting Quirks stood with him. "Do you have the exact Coordinates Kurogiri?" Tomura inquired. "Yes Sir, shall we begin?" Kurogiri replied.
Tomura just nodded before he turned to the gathered army at his beck and call.
"Today, we take Deika City. We spear out the MLA and take everything they have for ourselves. Cull those who try to fight against us, make Noumus out of anyone else." Tomura murmured out the plan. He watched as the three booster villains activated their Quirks and powered up Kurogiri. A potent mist spread throughout the area as the Noumus were the first one sucked in. The Villains stood calm, faces etched with determination for a fight. Tomura waited for a second before the villains too began to sink into the mist.
Then he felt himself sink into it.
