Chapter 1
Sitting inside her office inside the student council room, Sona Sitri, the head of the students, she is currently making preparations for the new year ahead. Being a second year college student, it's her responsibility to ensure that things go smoothly with the new students. She adjusted her glasses while looking through her computer screenm only to find that her assistant, Tsubaki Shinra, has arrived. "Good morning, Tsubaki." Sona greeted in her usual, professional tone.
"Good morning, President. That new kid, he is currently waiting in the lobby to speak with you." Tsubaki said, keeping her voice as professional as Sona.
"Okay, please have him enter." Sona requested and without another word, Tsubaki went to get thr new student.
With cerulean eyes, bright yellow hair, a black shirt, that sat underneath an orange jacket. Naruto Namikaze, a second year transfer student. He's preparing to meet with the head of the student body, Sona Sitri. Not much is known about the boy, aside from his unusually high marks on the entrace exams. When trying to do research, nothing in regards to the blond's past has been revealed. Not even a single relative by blood or marraige could be found. The blond causally sits back, reading a small book that has the title and front cover nearly erased from such overuse.
"Naruto Namikaze, President Sona Sitri is ready to meet you. Also, I must remind you. Your uniform is to be worn unless stated otherwise." Tsubaki said in a stern tone.
Naruto gave the girl with rectangular glasses a friendly smile that seemed to light up an entire room. "Of course. I should have known better, but I figured it was better than nothing." Naruto said sheepishly, giving a smile that made the woman blush slightly. The blond was escorted into the office where Sona was looking at him sharply.
"Hello, Naruto. My name is Sona Sitri. I'm the head of the student body here at Kuoh Academy." Sona said in her formal tone.
"Hi Sona, my name is Naruto Namikaze. It's a pleasure to meet you." Naruto said, giving his warm smile once more.
"Usually, I give new students a few days before I introduce myself to them. However, you're a special case. Would you be able to explain why their isn't any information in regards to you? No family to be contacted, no prior addresses. It's as if you just appeared out of nowhere, three months ago." Sona said, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, it's a bit complicated. I doubt you'd believe it anyway." Naruto said.
"I've seen a few things. Try me." Sona said, earning a chuckle from the blond.
"I notice that's an interesting chess board you have. Usually, it's either clear or blurry, or black and white. Yet, yours is purple and black. Do you mind if I ask why?" Naruto asked, continuing his friendly smile.
"It was a gift that was given to me by my father, before he became sick. Do you play?" Sona asked.
"Yeah. I've played a few games with my Godfather, years ago. If you want, we can play a game while you continue to pick my brain. How does that sound?" Naruto asked, earning a nod from the girl. While she sat the board up, Naruto noticed that she was analyzing everything from his body language, the way he was breathing, and the look in his eyes.
"You scored in the top one percent without any former tutoring or educational training. How is that possible?" Sona asked while making the first move.
Naruto continued his friendly smile, and without hesitation, he followed up by moving a piece. "I tend to be a bit of a book worm.
Besides, I tend to retain information at a much faster rate than most people." Naruto said.
"I see. What do you say about the rumors of you cheating?" Sona asked while carefully thinking her next move. As quickly as she moved her piece, Naruto followed up, causing Sona to raise an eyebrow.
"If I'm being accused of cheating, then I'd be more than happy to take the test again. However, if that was really the case, then I wouldn't be sitting in front of you now, would I?" Naruto asked.
"You're correct. Did you not receive the student hand book that required you to wear the proper uniform, or did you just not bother with it?" Sona asked while moving her next piece.
"Haha, truthfully, I didn't get around to reading it. But then again, that would be a lie. If my appearance isn't allowed, I don't mind going home to change." Naruto shot back, surprising Sona by taking her piece with a move she didn't notice.
After a moment, Sona recomposed herself. "That won't be necessary.Just please wear your uniform tomorrow. Now, are you interested in joining any clubs or any after school activities?" Sona asked, while taking one of Naruto's pawns.
"After school activities? I didn't give it much thought. Is there anyone in particular that you recommend?" Naruto asked as he performed another surprise attack, and took another piece.
"Someone with your qualities would do well in the student council. Of course, you'd be interviewed by the board of those that I selected.
Tell me, what are some of your hobbies that you enjoy doing. You know, when you're outside of school." Sona said, while carefully moving her next piece.
"Hobbies, huh? Since when would the student president care about what I do in my free time?" Naruto asked while raising his eyebrows, quickly moving his piece.
"Is there something you do that wouldn't look good?" Sona asked, taking a piece of Naruto's forces.
"No, not really. I just spend my time researching and reading. Of course, I like to exercise a bit. Tennis has always been my favorite game to play. But nothing is better than a good book." Naruto declared, moving one of his pieces.
"I see you've an old book with you. What is it?" Sona asked.
"It's the first book that my Godfather ever wrote. When he passed away, I decided to keep it with me. It's an original draft, so nobody has this copy. It's called the tale of a gutsy ninja. Check." Naruto said as he moved his piece, slightly putting Sona in a shocked state of mind.
"A gutsy ninja? What is the book about?" Sona asked while moving another piece.
"It's about a boy named Naruto. He had a goal to bring peace to the world, and during his adventure. He encounters many obstacals that most would give up when facing. However, he stays focus and is determined to bring peace to the ninja world." Naruto explained while moving another piece.
"Well, does he do it?" Sona asked she moved her next piece.
"I don't know. The book was never finished, check mate." Naruto said as he was able to take Sona's queen.
As the girl looked into the cerulean eyes of the blond, she couldn't help but notice a few of his features, such as the three whisker marks on his face. "Naruto, have you already received your class schedule?" Sona asked, only to earn a headshake. "Here you go. It seems the two of us will be sharing classes together. But I did notice you choose a cooking class. May I ask why?" Sona asked.
"The cooking class? That's easy. I'm not too good of a cook, and I pretty much live on ramen. Why not take a course to teach me how to make a few different foods?" Naruto asked, earning a nod from the girl.
"Alright, that will be all. You may be excused. Also, I'd like for you to report here after school." Sona said.
Naruto smiled and nodded. "Yes ma'am." Naruto said as he turned and left the office, leaving Sona with a focused expression.
It was time for math class, and when Naruto entered, the entire room went silent. Many of the girls started to have blushing faces as the handsome blond who stood at five foot nine, decently built, beautiful blue eyes, and long yellow hair. The instructor noticed him and couldn't help but blush herself. After taking a few seconds to recompose herself, she stood up. "Hello there, are you the new student?" Asked the teacher.
"Yes ma'am. My name is Naruto Namikaze." Naruto said as he gave a slight bow.
"Alright, . Please take a seat anywhere you'd like. We'll be starting in a few minutes." The teacher said as NAruto smiled before taking a seat next to Sona. When she glanced at him, the blond could see her curious expression.
"Since today is my first day, why not sit with the only person I know?" Naruto asked.
"I'm sure one of those other girls wouldn't mind having you sit next to them." Sona said.
"True. But what is the point of talking with someone, if they're constantly gushing over you to the point they aren't listening.
Besides, your perfume, it smells nice." Naruto said in a relaxed tone, ignoring Sona's blush.
"What is your game, Namikaze? There is something about you are hiding, and I will find out." Thought Sona. The class officially began and as the teacher was going through the lessons, Naruto sat and just read his book. He didn't take any notes, or even glance up at the boared. This was driving Sona crazy until the teacher called on him.
"Could you please solve the equation?" The instructor asked. The other students were looking at the blond who seemed to have his focus on whatever material he was reading. He looked up and gave his signature smile.
"Yes. The answer is ten." Naruto said, earning a slight praise from the instructor.
"How could you possibly know that? You didn't look up from your book at all." Sona said in a low whisper.
"Aside from you staring at me all class, I can hear the marks she makes on the board. I already knew the equation. Besides, I'm at my favorite part of the story." Naruto said, giving a slight chuckle.
"Oh? What is that part?" Sona asked in a slight sarcastic tone.
"The hero, Naruto. He's taking on the demonic, nine tailed fox demon. His village is on the verge of defeat, until he arrives to engage the fox in mortal combat." Naruto explained. Sona looked at him before returning to her own devices. Class came to an end, and when Naruto was about to leave, he was met by a blond haired girl.
"Hi, um. My name is Yuki. Would you like to go out sometime?" Asked the girl, who was clearly nervous.
"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry. I've got plans this weekend. MAybe some other time." Naruto said as he exited the classroom, leaving the girl with a frown. The classes went by the same, science, history, and even language. When it was time for lunch, Naruto stood silently while a group of third years decided to walk up to him.
"Hey, freakshow." Called one the boys with long, brown hair that went down to his shoulders. The boy was wearing the typical uniform, while his two friends stood behind him.
"Yes, can I help you?" Naruto asked in an even tone.
"We notice that you're new this year. Even though you technically aren't a freshman, I think it's wise that we give you to special welcoming." Said the boy with a smirk as he went to grab Naruto's collar. However, he was stopped by the blond's hand.
"I'm sorry, but please don't touch me. I'd like to get my food, that's all." Naruto said as he released his grip on the boy.
"You think you're a tough guy, huh? Why don't we show you what tough is?" The boy said as the two others circled around the blond. However, the exchange was stopped when Sona walked up.
"Riyo, that's enough. There is no fighting at school, at anytime. Now leave." Sona said in a stern tone. The boy's quickly walked off, not wanting to deal with the student president.
"My, my. You certainly have been running into me a lot latetly. I'm starting to think that I've got a shadow." Naruto said as he grabbed a tray and got an order of fries with a burger, along with a water.
"You were about to be jumped by three of the schools top bullies. As the student body president, I must ensure this is a safe enviroment for everyone." Sona explained.
"Well thank you. I'm glad to see that my safety is being taken into account. Speaking of which. I've been reading the map of the school that I got from you this morning. I can't seem to find the gym." Naruto said.
"I didn't give you a map, what are you talking about? The gym is the building behind the west wing." Sona said.
"Oh, okay. Thanks. By the way, your shoe is untied." Naruto said as he proceeded to get sit at a bench. When Sona glanced down, she mentally cursed the blond for causing her to lose her composition. The end of the school day came, and when Sona arrived in her office, she found Naruto waiting on the outside.
"You're actually here? I figured you wouldn't have taken me serious when I told you to come." Said the raven haired girl.
"Why would I do that? Besides, you're an interesting person." Naruto said as he followed her into her office.
Sona sighed. "You seem like a really intelligent, athletic, and kind person. Basically, you're considered a full package in the eyes of your peers. What I want to know, what are your short comings? Guys like you always have something that's way off." Sona said, getting down to business.
"Would you like to settle this during a game of chess?" Naruto asked.
"No thank you. I've got quite a bit of work that needs to be done. But don't avoid the question." Sona said.
Naruto smirked. "I'm just your everyday, academy student. I get up, go to school. I come home, do my homework, go about my own devices, and repeat. There isn't much to it." Naruto said, earning a narrowed stare from the girl.
"I see. So have you given it any thought about joining the student council?" Sona asked.
"The student council? No thanks. Politics aren't really my area of expertise. Arguing only goes so far, right?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, that is true. Alright, you're dismissed. Please remember to wear your uniform tomorrow." Sona said, earning a wink before Naruto left the office, leaving a flustered Sona. Tsubaki entered and saw the look on her president's face.
"Is everything alright? Did the new kid join?" Tsubaki asked as she sat down a stack of papers.
"He did not seem interested. Are you sure there is nothing on him? Not even the simplest thing?" Sona asked.
"I'm sorry, president. But there is truly nothing on him that we have. Perhaps you should invite him into our peerage. Then you could keep a closer eye on him." Tsubaki suggested.
"No. Humans must not be involved with devil affairs. Alright, that's all. I have much work to do." Sona said as she started to work on the stack. To her annoyance, she received a request to make orange acceptable as the uniform, by Naruto.
