Anakin found Padme chained to stone on an island surrounded by lava. Her white hospital gown was torn in many places nearly exposing her. "I am sorry Padme. "Anakin shouted. Anakin heard footsteps and then mechanical breathing. "Impossible! You are me. "Anakin said. "I have been waiting for you Anakin. Now I can get revenge for you killing Padme. "Darth Vader.
"I didn't kill her you did. "Anakin said. "Liar! "Vader shouted. They both ignited their lightsabers. Vader struck first and Anakin blocked the blow. Anakin attacked and was blocked by Vader. Anakin leaped up to the platform where Padme was. "Why haven't you escaped from those chains? "Anakin asked. "Because I don't have my picklock. "Padme replied. Anakin cut through her chains with his lightsaber and then the cuffs. He turned to face Vader. "You are foolish to release her and now I will destroy you. "Vader said. Anakin jumped down to face Vader again.
Vader went after Padme when Anakin got in his way. Vader attacked, but Anakin blocked the blow. Anakin attacked and Vader blocked every strike. Vader force pushed Anakin down and held his lightsaber over Anakin. "You are beaten like Luke at Cloud City. "Vader growled. As Vader swung towards Anakin's hand to disarm him Anakin swung upward and pushed Vader's blade away. Anakin crawled away. Neither man could gain the advantage. Padme attacked Vader from behind and he knocked her back. "Leave her alone monster! "Anakin shouted as he attacked Vader. Vader blocked every blow. Neither Anakin nor Vader could gain an advantage. "What I would give for a blaster right now. "Padme groaned.
Footsteps were heard approaching. "Time to correct my biggest mistake. "Palpatine said as he ignited his lightsaber. Palpatine's lightsaber glowed blue and not red as the kyber crystal was heeled by the underworld as punishment for his failure. "Master why are you here? "Vader asked. "I am not Sidious anymore. Creating you was a mistake. "Palpatine shouted. "Fool you will pay for your failure. "Vader shouted. Vader attacked Palpatine. Palpatine blocked Vader and pushed him back. Anakin joined in as Palpatine kept Vader busy. Anakin looked for an opening. When Anakin saw one, he struck Vader in the chest causing him to fall and die. "That is the end you monster! "Anakin shouted. Anakin and Padme hugged and kissed.
"Anakin how do we get out? "Padme asked. "I think we have to backtrack to the elevator. "Anakin said. "No, the elevator is over there. "Palpatine pointed to the elevator. "I can't go looking like this. "Padme groaned. Plaqueis joined Palpatine watching the couple. "Think of anything you want to wear, and it will appear on your body. "Plaqueis said. Anakin whispered something in Padme's ear. Suddenly her blue steel nightgown replaced her torn hospital gown. The ground began to shake. "Anakin go. Get out of here now! "Palpatine shouted. Anakin grabbed Padme's hand and raced towards the elevator.
They raced into the elevator and watched as the ceiling collapsed in the room where Anakin fought Vader. Anakin slapped the buttons with his hand. Nothing happened. He hit it again and the doors started to close when an imp attacked. Anakin sliced it with his lightsaber as the doors closed and the elevator started up. It started to get bright as they continued up. They found themselves above the clouds. They reached the top and left the elevator. The jedi council waited for them.
"Welcome Anakin and Padme Skywalker. Successful your mission was. "Yoda said. "Yes, I saved her. "Anakin replied. "Obi Wan I am angry with you for trying to get Anakin to leave me. You didn't even care how I felt about Anakin. "Padme groaned. "It was because of the code which didn't allow attachments. I am sorry. "Obi Wan said. "Anakin I am sorry for turning my back on you in Palpatine's office. I gave into my hate. "Mace Windu said. "Robbed you of your life you could have lived to together we did. Help you we will. "Yoda said.
"Fix it we will. "Yoda said. Anakin and Padme blacked out. They woke up back in Padme's apartment in bed. They got up. "Where are we? "Anakin asked. "I am pregnant with the twins again. "Padme said as she grabbed her baby bump. They walked to the veranda again and looked at the skyline. Obi Wan arrived in his jedi starfigher and landed. He approached the couple. "I see you two are up early. "Obi Wan said. "What is going on we just escaped from the Sith underworld and now we are back at the fall of the jedi order and the rise of the empire. "Anakin said. "Anakin you defeated Palpatine and brough the balance. "Obi Wan said. "I am done with the jedi order, and I want to go to Naboo with Padme. "Anakin said. "Attachments are allowed now anyway. Go you two and be happy. That is what you want Anakin? "Obi Wan asked. "Yes, we are going. "Anakin replied. "I need to pack my clothes. "Padme said. "You don't need anything but what you are wearing angel. "Anakin said. "Ani really? If it makes you happy. I am still taking my clothes with me. "Padme said. "You don't have to worry about falling to the dark side now. "Obi Wan said. "You knew everything changed. "Anakin said. "Yes, the whole council gave it to you. "Obi Wan said.
Anakin and Padme left for Naboo and lived out their lives with their children Luke and Leia.
