Author's Note:

Well, this is it! THE FINAL LAST EPILOGUE AND LAST CHAPTER of my world of Kismet. It started back in 2018 with some random Marauder snippets that I put aside to write about Sirius and Remus raising Harry which turned from a 25 chapter story idea to 360 chapters of A Second Chance and led me to write a prequel with my original Marauder snippets in The First Time Around. It ended with Third Times the Charm.

As I expected, many of you have really enjoyed the epilogues and many of you have really disliked them. Next generation especially is something I was never sure I wanted to do because of the negative reactions that often surround it. Even with the snippets I've provided, I have already received a lot of negative backlash, especially for poor Albus. As to Albus taking on Scorpius' last name and the anonymous comments I received on tumblr about it, no, I do not think it's a bad thing. Yes, it was because of Lucius Malfoy that the diary found its way to Ginny, but it was Voldemort who hurt her, not Lucius. He is at fault for the diary finding her, without question, but it was Voldemort who hurt her. Scorpius is his own man. Albus fell for Scorpius, not his grandfather or his great-grandfather and I do not believe that Scorpius should be punished for that. His last name is not the problem and Ginny has never felt that way. She's proud to call him her son-in-law and Albus taking on the surname Malfoy is not triggering for her in any way as again, it was Voldemort who hurt her. In fact, Albus wanting to be a Malfoy mirrored Ginny wanting to be a Potter, not wanting to end a family name. For those of you who are upset that I put Albus and Scorpius together, I love them together and that was the only thing I 100% wanted to add for the next generation. We will see how the rest of the Potter kids make out here.

As I always say, I write this story for myself first and this is the final chapter of what I wanted to write and how I wanted to end my world of Kismet. I'm very excited to share it with you and I hope you're excited to read it. I hope those of you who have been reading this story have been enjoying it even half as much as I've enjoyed writing it and that you like the ending as much as I do. And for those of you who don't, I thank you for reading as long as you have and hope you find a story some day that pleases you more. There are a lot of amazing writers in the world and I hope someone gives you the ending you want.

As for me I am very proud of my final scene and of this trilogy.

THANK YOU!

I would like to firstly thank Dusk, who even though only was my Beta from chapters 200-360 of ASC and for all of The First Time Around, her patience and guidance were greatly appreciated. Thank you to SilverStarwolfe who was my first Beta from about chapter 120-190 before life got in the way and she had to stop, her patience and guidance was also greatly appreciated. Thank you to SeriouslySam who was an amazing sounding board and helped me work out the kinks in the final idea of Sirius and Zee and helped me come up with the story titles for The First Time Around and Third Times the Charm. I really appreciate all of the help she gave me and hope one day she might even read it too. LOL. Thank you to Ellieoryan7447 for being such an amazing reader who went out of her way to attempt to make character art all about my characters. It's surreal to me that people even want to do that and is more appreciated than I can possibly put into words. And lastly, thank you to celtics534 for putting up with my random asks about reading over scenes, giving great writing advice, and not being afraid to tell me when something is crap and how to fix it. You're more appreciated than you know. PS — Sorry for bothering the crap out of you with final reviews of this last chapter LOL.

Thank you to everyone who has been reading from the beginning, to those jumped in somewhere in the middle, and to anyone new who stumbled across this world when the final story was ending. THANK YOU!

Reviews and Comments: To AQuickRead91: It was much longer than weeks ago, LOL, but I know, I loved how quickly people fell in love with Theo and Bas. No, I have said multiple times I do not like Cursed Child. The only thing I took from there was that Albus and Scorpius are friends and in Slytherin. As to Macmillan, I never liked him. He felt fake to me in the books and I decided to use him as a villain. Thank you. To Tmr_Potterhead250: Wow, already starting drafting your final review? Thank you! I can't wait to read it! I loved showing Theo and Bas over the years so I'm happy to know people enjoyed it. Colin did find the love he was looking for and it was very much deserved. The attack was horrible, but it was closure Theo needed and yes, him protecting himself was an important part of that. Sorry to make you want to cry over the bit where Theo and Blaise helped Draco and Scorpius deal with their loss. Harry is definitely a cabbage! He was hoping Theo would give Albus a sex talk, but Theo assured him he got it all right lol. Yes, Harry and Draco don't care at all about the sexuality of their children, just that they are dating each other's spawns lol. Thanks for loving seeing Albus and Scorpius fall in love! Yes, the gossip columns are still at work lol. I'm glad I surprised you by having Spence fall for Ella and yes, Blaise's reaction to seeing Nikki with Ben was pretty much what we expected. Theo and Gabrielle definitely just wanted to enjoy the show! Thank you for loving Bas' reaction to Theo's news about Sadie. Of course he was worried Theo might have bought something ridiculous lol. Oliver is definitely upset none of his kids went into professional Quidditch lol. Yes, the Woods are literally celebrity royalty to Bas and now his daughter has married into the family. Thank you! It was really great to give Theo his happy ending. Thank you very much for all of the time and effort you've put into writing me these amazing reviews! Thank you!

To jonsnowlover: It is insane it's almost over, isn't it? Thank you. To Zarathos Morgenstern: All good things must come to an end, yes, thank you, and no. I need a break from writing. This is the end for the foreseeable future. Thank you. To akshutalankar: Blaise definitely had a conniption over the thought of his daughters with me and it serves him right lol. Yes, Bas and Oliver definitely bonded over Hidden Passions. Thank you for enjoying the closure with Macmillan and the fire ants from Sebastian lol. Thank you for saying that "knowing Theo can fight Death Eaters with a sword in hand, but can't bring himself against his abuser brings forward the complexity of rape victims beautifully." Thank you very much! To minerdude: Thanks for liking how I interconnected the different families. It's nice to know my story and characters will be missed. Thank you! To scrappy8: Thank you! I'm glad Theo stood up for himself as well and thanks for loving the talk with Harry about Albus. Thanks for the second review and yes, it is a small world for all of the families! Thank you! To alix33: Thank you very much! To Emma Janet: No, Hogwarts is a boarding school. Yes, Ella is the last of Harry's daughters to get married. I don't think their names are confusing at all as it is different sounds despite the same letters. Thank you very much! To EnigmaticEmperor: Yes, Theo and Bas definitely have reason to celebrate. J and Padma are going to foster, yes. Oliver is definitely still grumpy lol. You think Sadie and Everett are going to get together? Interesting. Thanks for liking Theo fighting back and yes, facing his fear head on. He needed the closure. LOL, I'm so happy everyone enjoyed the Harry getting embarrassed over asking Theo about gay sex bit lol. Happy to keep you laughing over Harry's thoughts on Albus fancying a Malfoy lol. You are so right, Ginny and Theo definitely were shipping Albus and Scorpius since they were young lol. Yes, Spence and Ella, not Sadie and Everett lol. Theo and Ginny are definitely loving it! Yes, Evie finds love before Ella. Yes, Bas can finally be besties with Oliver lol. Hidden Passions is definitely still on and yes, Bas and Tonks still have watch parties together. Thank you very much!

My posting schedule: COMPLETE!

As always, thank you very much for reading and please, please review!

Your reviews give me life! They give me inspiration! And they make me want to keep writing for more than just myself! Thank you for all of your continued support!

CHAPTER FORTY-ONE:
Kismet Trilogy Epilogues:
The One With the Final Epilogue

January 2012…

Harry stepped into his office, finally feeling like it was his after over a month in his new position as Deputy Head Auror of the Dark Arts Unit. With everything that had happened with Jamies and Alby, then the new promotion, then the holidays… it all just felt like one never ending whirlwind.

Harry rolled his shoulders back and then rolled his neck before he took a seat in his chair and wrinkled his nose at the stack of folders on his desk. Deputy Head was definitely a lot more work added to his every day work detail. The big one was that he was in charge of schedules for the Aurors in the DAU and that was much more time consuming than he'd expected.

But he liked the pace of it. He still worked in the field with Ron when he was needed, still had his own cases, but he also was in charge of overseeing all of the cases of the other Aurors in the DAU. He was the one who had to authorize overtime, change up partners or add in more work if needed, and the general go-to person when they needed help. It made him feel more involved in the job in a way that he hadn't realized he truly wanted.

He spent his morning finishing up the schedules for the month of February and then he checked over the files from all of the reports handed in yesterday to make sure no detail was missed and signing his name to the bottom of them. There was nothing worse than a criminal being released on a technicality because someone forgot to dot an i or cross a t in the paperwork.

An office memo flew inside, paper wings fluttering in front of him until he grabbed it. It was a reminder that Robards needed to meet with him at three today from his new secretarial assistant. That was another thing about his job — he got an assistant and she was a complete lifesaver.

Her named was Anita Danvers and she'd been newly hired by Harry as the last assistant had decided to follow Auror Savage to his new position. She was a pretty woman, a little over a decade older than Harry. She had short brown curly hair and a big smile and always was friendly and efficient in a way that Harry appreciated. She was exactly what Harry needed to help him keep track of things as she not only set up reminders to help him not miss anything, she kept him organized.

A red spark flashed on his desk with a soft ping so he touched his wand to it. "Yes, Anita?"

"Your wife is here, Auror Potter," Anita's voice seemed to rise up from the spark.

A grin spread across his face. "Send her in."

Half a minute later, he saw his wife knocking her knuckles against his doorjamb, a picnic basket in her hand. "Knock, knock. I brought you some lunch."

Harry beamed at her. She looked gorgeous with her long red hair pulled back in a braid. She was wearing black tights and a large purple jumper with her black cloak undone. She had her winter boots on and a cute toque on her head with a purple pom. Her pregnant belly was visible at five months and as always, Harry looked at his wife with complete awe. Even after being married for almost twelve years, he still thought she was the most breathtaking woman he'd ever seen.

"Perfect surprise."

He watched her close the door to his office. She tapped the door with her wand, making his eyebrow rise before she came around his desk to straddle him; his eyes widened.

Ginny linked her arms around his neck. "Hi, Deputy Head Auror Potter."

His lips curved. "Hi, Mrs Deputy Head Auror Potter."

Ginny leaned in to nip at his bottom lip. "The kids are at school and Mum has the twins. I watched you leave today and I thought you've had this whole office to yourself for over a month now and I haven't even popped by for a proper visit."

"You've been busy," he said, a soft moan escaping him when she planted an open-mouthed kiss on his throat. "After everything that happened with Jamie and Alby and then the holiday and… Gin…"

She was sucking on the pulse in his neck in that perfect spot that always drove him mad and when she licked the mark to soothe it, his already interested cock sprang to full attention.

"All true," she said. "But a good wife should have made the time to come in, check it out, and more importantly," she whispered, her hand sliding down to open the button on his trousers. "Make sure it's properly christened."

Harry's eyes darkened. "Gin… fuck, we can't."

Her brown eyes twinkled in mischief. "Doors locked. You're on lunch."

"That's not…"

She pulled her jumper over her head and he licked his lips. "You have an hour for lunch, right?"

He nodded, afraid to speak.

Ginny opened her bra and his eyes immediately dropped down to take in her magnificent tits, big and round from pregnancy. She took his hands and placed them overtop of them.

"Mmm, how many times can you make me come in an hour, Harry?"

Harry swallowed. "Is there even anything in that picnic basket?"

Her brown eyes twinkled in mischief. "Of course there is. I just thought you might want to eat me first."

Harry stood up, his hands on her hips as he lifted her with him and sat her on his desk. He shoved everything over, paperwork, and files all into the corner of the desk before he sat back down in his chair and yanked her tights off. When he found her naked beneath them, his own eyes darkened.

"Figured I didn't need knickers today," she said.

Harry tossed her tights over his shoulder and spread her legs. The sight of his gorgeous wife sitting with her legs spread wide on his desk in nothing but her bra was enough to almost make him come undone on the spot. Her belly was bigger now, showcasing her five month pregnancy, but Harry's eyes were on the dark red hair between her legs. He licked his lips and then he bent his head and dragged his tongue over her.

Ginny's fingers slipped into his hair as she leaned back on her elbows. "Oh, gods, yes!"

Harry let a soft moan escape him as he licked and savoured her, stroking his tongue over every inch of her before he finally worked it in and out of her. He circled her clit, teasing it with soft sucks, kisses, and licks before he finally sucked it into his mouth at the same time that his fingers joined in. Each taste was so sweet and so delicious that he never wanted to stop.

He could quite happily live with his head between his wife's legs for the rest of his life. He never stopped craving her like this. The sounds she made, the way her breath hitched when he sucked her, the way she moved her hips against him like she needed more, not afraid to tell him what she wanted.

He wanted to draw it out, to make her beg for it, but the competitive side of him was still focusing on her words: How many times could he get her off in an hour? With that in mind, he sucked her hard, flicking the right side because he knew it would get her there faster and she clutched his hair tighter and finished with a sharp cry.

Harry lifted his head to give her a cocky smirk before he kissed his way over her stomach and unhooked her bra. The sight of those full breasts, made bigger with pregnancy, made him lust for them. He loved this stage of her pregnancy because she was always so randy for him. He kissed his way over her breasts, pulling the bra completely off before he dragged his tongue over his wife's nipples. He sucked the left one into his mouth at the same time that he plunged three fingers back into her.

Ginny gasped, her head falling back. Merlin, her husband was much too good at this. It didn't help that over the last two weeks, her hormones seemed to be set on permanently randy. She wanted to do nothing but shag her husband senseless all the bloody time. Last night after they'd gotten the kids off to bed, she'd practically jumped him. She'd come six times before they'd finally gone to sleep and she'd been sorely disappointed not to have had time to do her husband again this morning before he left for work.

When a second orgasm came over her, she clutched Harry's hair and bit her lip to muffle her moan. She'd locked the door and put a silencing charm on the room, but there was always that slight worry that someone might figure out what they were doing in here. The fact that it sort of turned her on was something else entirely.

Harry's mouth finally moved away from her breasts and she watched him kiss his way back down her belly, before he fell to his knees and used his tongue on her again. She was whimpering, she knew she was, but gods, she wanted more.

Harry knew that she wanted more and he was more than ready to give it to her. A glance at his watch told him that they were almost halfway done already, so he licked her again before plunging his tongue as deep inside of her as he could go. His own cock was aching and he reached down to unzip himself, tugging himself free from his boxer briefs enough so that he could give himself a couple of firm strokes. He wondered if his wife would be interested in using her mouth. He'd always fantasized about her sucking him off in his office.

He added his fingers as he sucked and Ginny bucked against his face as she came a third time. When he stood up, his own hand was wrapped around his cock, stroking himself as he kissed her mouth.

"Mmm," Ginny murmured against his lips. "You know how to make a girl happy."

"No," he whispered. "I know how to make you happy."

Ginny's eyes fell down to where he was fisting himself and she licked her lips. She made quick work of the buttons of his dress shirt, spreading it open and tucking the open flaps under the suspenders at his side while she loosened his tie. Harry was still working himself and she watched as his cock fisted in his hand again and again. Ginny hopped off of the desk and sunk down to her knees to take him in her mouth, unable to resist.

Harry let his head fall back as he watched those perfect lips wrap around him. He groaned as she slipped her hand into his trousers to get a better grip on his balls, tugging just enough to drive him mad. When he couldn't take it anymore, he tapped her head.

Ginny slowly removed her mouth, her eyes filled with lust as she looked up at him. Harry tugged her to her feet and sat her back on his desk before he fell to his knees again to feast on her. She came again, locking her thighs round his head before she shoved him away and tapped the desk.

"Come sit with me."

Harry swallowed. He flicked his hand and a surge of power swept everything all off of his desk in one go, making her snort.

"Hope you find that easy to organize after."

"Don't care," Harry growled, sitting on the desk next to his wife. "I need you. Now."

He growled again when she made to move and he tugged her into his lap. Ginny pushed him down and urged him to turn his legs so that he was lying lengthwise across his desk. His legs were too long and it wasn't the most comfortable he'd ever been. Ginny grabbed something off of the floor and a moment later he realized she'd bawled her jumper up as a pillow under his head and then she was lowering herself onto him and he didn't care where the hell he was laying.

"Oh, fuck…" Harry groaned. He reached up to wrap his hands around her gorgeous tits, watching in amazement as she rode him on his desk. He lifted his hips to meet her and she bit her bottom lip.

Even after all these years, the sight of her taking him was the hottest thing he'd ever imagined. He swore it was better each time than it was the last. He played with her nipples, watching her meet him thrust for thrust, and when his wife reached her own hand down to touch herself, he pushed her hand out of the way to add his own.

When she came again, it was what he needed to see and he sat up a bit, holding her hips as he drove into her again and again and again until he finally lost it, burying his face in her breasts as he came. She collapsed against him, sucking on his neck and he ran his hand down her spine as he caught his breath.

"Guess I'm losing my touch," he mumbled near her ear.

"Mm?" Ginny said, lifting her head to look down at him.

"Only five," he complained.

Ginny laughed, lifting herself off of him and he immediately missed the feel of her. She carefully climbed off of the desk and stretched her arms over her head. He took in the little love bites on her breasts, her hips, and the stubble beard burn all over her thighs. When his gaze met hers again, he realized she'd been talking to him.

"Sorry, what?"

Ginny's lips curved and she gave him a look that told him she knew exactly where his mind had wandered. "Merlin, Harry, you are so good for my ego."

"You're gorgeous," he said, reverently making her smile.

"You don't look so bad yourself, Mr Deputy Head Auror Potter. Now, what I said before was that only you would worry you've lost your touch after making me come five times in under an hour."

"Still have to work on that eighteen."

Ginny gave him a look that made him sit up. He watched her sit in his desk chair as she tugged her leggings back on and he hopped off of the desk. His wife's eyes followed him and when he looked down at himself, he couldn't help but grin.

His tie was loose around his neck, his shirt unbuttoned and opened behind his suspenders. His wand holster was dangling off of his belt as his cock hung out of his trousers. He looked ridiculous. Or so he thought, until he watched his wife's brown eyes take him in greedily.

He tucked himself away and Ginny looked disappointed, making his cock twitch as if it hadn't just come as hard as it did just did five minutes earlier. He buttoned his shirt and fixed his tie as Ginny put her jumper back on. She reached out to help him with his tie before she tugged on it so that she could kiss him.

"Mmm, you taste like me."

"Must taste perfect then."

Ginny kissed him again before she dropped her hold on his tie and moved towards the picnic basket. "I did actually bring you a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch."

She passed him the plate and he gave her an adoring look, suddenly famished. He pulled her back into his arms for a long kiss.

"I love you, Ginny Potter."

Ginny linked her arms around his neck. "I love you, too. Our hour's up."

Harry nodded, taking her hand in his as he walked her to the door. He watched her remove the silencing charm and then unlock it before he tugged her back into his arms for another long kiss. Ginny opened the door and he kissed her again, making her smile.

"I have to go, Harry."

Harry stole one more kiss before he kissed her palm gently. Then he ducked down to kiss her stomach. "Behave, Six."

Ginny gave him an adoring smile before she pecked his lips once more. "See you when you get home."

Harry watched her hurry off with the picnic basket swinging on her arm until she disappeared out of his sight. When he turned, Anita was giving him a warm smile.

"What?" Harry asked.

Anita shook her head. "I wish my husband still looked at me like that. You'd think that woman hung the moon."

"She does," Harry said, a wide smile coming across his face. "And the sun and the whole bloody universe."

Anita smiled. "You have ten minutes to finish up your lunch, Auror Potter. I'll let your appointment know you're running a bit behind."

Harry thanked her before he closed his office door and it took him a half second to realize what she'd said. Apparently he and Ginny hadn't been discreet enough if his secretary was well aware that the lunch his wife had brought him hadn't exactly been consumed. He waved his wand to do a quick cleaning charm on his desk and set everything back into order before he sat to eat his sandwich.

He could still smell his wife's perfume and sex in the room, but he opened up the first file with a big grin as he took a bite of his sandwich.

His office finally felt like home.

~ Final Epilogue ~

October 2013…

Ginny was nervous. She knew that she had no reason to be, but her nerves were still high. The idea had seemed to come to her so suddenly this afternoon, she almost didn't want it to disappear. She'd held little Evie in one arm as she'd raced to write her ideas down on paper as fast as she could.

James, Albus, and Lily were jumping in the leaves outside while Ella and Everett waddled after them, trying to get in on the fun. When Colt and Flo showed up to visit, Ginny was pleased to get a few minutes to herself as Colt took the kids to the stable to see the horses.

They stayed for dinner and Harry lit up as his great-grandparents talked all about how well the kids were doing with the horses. They kissed them goodbye and headed home and then Harry and Ginny had the fun task of getting six kids into bed.

Harry ordered James and Albus to shower and get their pjs on before Lily did the same. At nine, seven, and almost six, they were more self-sufficient these days. Harry bathed the twins who had just turned three last week before they all settled on the floor of Ella and Everett's bedroom on the third floor and listened to Harry read a bedtime story.

Clevedon Court had six bedrooms and during the summer, Jamie, Alby, and Lily had moved into rooms on the third floor. Jamie and Alby shared the fifth bedroom that was just above the master bedroom on the third floor. Lily currently had her own room in the fourth bedroom which was in the front of the house on the third floor. Ella and Everett had their own room upstairs across from Lily's. The plan was that when Jamie went to Hogwarts in two years, he would get his own room while Alby and Everett would share. Lily would get her own bedroom as well while Evie and Ella shared, but right now, Ella and Everett wanted to stay together. The three main bedrooms on the first floor all had their own private bathroom and an ensuite living room and Harry and Ginny both agreed, it wasn't something their kids needed. As they grew older, if one of them wanted to move into those rooms, they would let them, but for now, they were being kept as guest rooms. Genevieve was still in the nursery across the hall from Harry and Ginny.

"Daddy, another one," Ella said, snuggling into her father's side.

Ginny tried to suppress her smile as she watched their daughter turn her big green eyes on him with a pleading look. "Ella, it's time for bed."

Everett yawned and snuggled into Harry's other side. "Just one more story, Daddy."

The look on Harry's face told Ginny he was about to cave and James laughed.

"Dad can never say no."

"Why don't you read the story, Jamie?" Harry suggested, passing James the book Ella had picked out.

James wrinkled his nose. "Aw man!"

"You, Alby, and Lily can take turns," Ginny said as James reluctantly opened the book of Beedle.

She watched her three eldest children take turns reading the story of Babbity Rabbity aloud to their siblings as she and Harry assisted them as needed before they all kissed Ella and Everett and Harry and Ginny tucked them both in. Then they put Genevieve in the nursery with a bottle and a kiss and headed up to Lily's room.

"Daddy, can I get a kitty?" Lily asked, stifling a yawn.

"We already have Jinx," Harry said, thinking of the cat that Albus had adopted.

"But that's Alby's kitty," Lily said. "Bucky is your dog, Daddy, and Eggsy adopted Jamie. Mummy has Arnold. I don't have a pet."

"Bucky, Eggsy, Jinx, and Arnold all belong to all of us," Ginny said, kissing her daughter's forehead. "We also have Hedwig and the horses, Lily."

"Please, Mummy?"

Harry gently pulled Lily's glasses off of her face and tucked them away into the case on her night table. "We'll talk about it another day, Lily. Go to sleep."

"Maybe Zeema can get me a Kneazle like Padpa," Lily said. "Or a baby dragon like Aydin has."

"No dragons," Harry said.

"Just a baby one, Daddy."

"No dragons," Harry repeated, kissing her forehead. "We'll see, Lily. Go to sleep. I love you."

"Love you," Lily said.

Ginny kissed her daughter again. "Goodnight, Lily."

Once Lily was tucked away, they headed down the hall to where they could hear the boys. Albus was standing on his bed, his pillow in his hand as he held it up to defend himself from where James was smacking him with his own pillow. James hit him again and again until Albus ducked and then jumped up, tackling James to the floor with a loud 'oof.' There was more grunting as they rolled and fought until Harry grabbed them both and ripped them apart.

"Oi!"

Albus flushed. "Jamie started it."

"Did not!" James declared. "Albus hit me with a plushie!"

"That was an accident," Albus declared. "I was tossing it off of my bed."

"It was on purpose," James insisted.

"Was not!"

"Was too!'

"Was not!"

"Was too, you poopy head!"

Albus scrunched up his face. "I'm not a poopy head!"

"Are too!'

"Are not!"

"Are too!"

"ENOUGH!" Harry exclaimed, raising his voice. "Alby, apologize to Jamie."

Albus pouted and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "But, Daddy! It was an accident!"

Harry lifted an eyebrow. "Accident or not, you still hit him. Apologize."

Albus huffed. "Sorry, Jamie."

James smirked. "Thank you."

"And Jamie, apologize to Albus."

"What?" James exclaimed. "What did I do?"

"Everything else," Harry said, giving his son a look.

Jame sighed. "Fine. Sorry, Alby."

Ginny wrapped her arms around James from behind. "Was that so hard?"

"Yes," James complained as he began to pick up his pillows.

Once the boys' beds were back in shape, Ginny tucked in Albus while Harry went to James and then they swapped.

"Mum, can we go to a Quidditch match soon?"

Ginny smiled fondly at her eldest son. "The season starts in November, Jamie. We'll see what we can do. Goodnight, boys. We love you."

"Love you too," they both said.

Harry closed the door behind them and led his wife downstairs to their master bedroom and into their little sitting room, tugging her down into his lap. He buried his face in the crook of her neck with a sigh.

"Why are they always fighting?"

"It's what brothers do," Ginny told him. "They go through phases. Look at how often Fred and George fought with Ron or with Percy? Now they're as thick as thieves."

"I suppose," Harry said. "And we're not actually going to get Lily a pet are we? I think our house is chaotic enough."

Ginny chuckled. "Well, that depends on you, Mr Potter."

"What? Why does it depend on me?"

"Can you say no to her when she turns those big brown eyes on you?"

Harry scoffed. "That's your fault, Ginny. She looks exactly like you! How am I supposed to say no?"

"You say no to me all the time."

Harry gave her a pointed look. "When have I ever said no to you?"

Ginny chuckled. "I'm sure there's been a time or two."

He kissed her forehead. "I'm going to tell her it's your decision."

"Oh, sure, make me the bad guy."

"I love you."

"No! No buttering me up now."

He gave her a sheepish grin. "I adore you. I love you. I worship you."

Ginny ran her fingers through his hair. "I know. I'm fabulous. You're just all right."

He snorted. "Liar."

Ginny pecked his lips. "I want to talk to you about something."

"Yeah?"

She nodded and let out a slow breath. "All right, so I had this idea and I've been making notes, trying to make sure I didn't forget a single thing so I could tell you, but now I'm worried it was all rubbish."

"None of your ideas have ever been rubbish," Harry said, running his hands up her back. "Tell me."

"Well… I'm retired and I'm happy to have done so. I love being home with the kids and getting to raise them and I love it, I do, but… I don't know, I need to do something else."

"Do you want to go back to Quidditch?"

"Part of me does, but the other part is saying hell no to those gruelling practices and everything it comes with," Ginny admitted. "But I do want to do something Quidditch related. I want to write again."

He smiled. "You were an amazing writer. I'm not surprised to hear that."

"Thank you. I don't want to write Compass stuff, but I think I want to write about Quidditch."

"Like a Quidditch reporter?" Harry asked.

"Yes and no," Ginny said. She climbed off of his lap to run over and find the notes she'd made before returning to sit next to him. "I think I want to do more than just report on the games. There's Which Broomstick? which keeps everyone updated on the latest products related to Quidditch and the Daily Prophet prints the scores and match-based information, but I want to do more than that. I was thinking that I could interview players and maybe discuss goals, talk to team management, promote things and just… I don't know, write a paper or something that was just all about Quidditch all the time."

"That sounds brilliant," Harry said. "Like a one place stop for everything you need to know about Quidditch."

"Exactly," Ginny said. "I could bring Lee in and use some of his things from Bludger This! and we can talk to Gwenog and I'll write a piece about myself and keep it old and new players. We can have information on Little Quidditch games, Hogwarts stats, it will be… everything Quidditch."

"I love it."

"Really?"

"Yes, really," he said, leaning in to kiss her. "It could be a magazine, Gin. Not just a paper and if you hired some people to help, it could be brilliant."

"You really think so?" Ginny asked him.

"I know so," Harry said. "You could make a career out of this."

"It's only some ideas," Ginny began. "I'll maybe write up some mockups of a few issues and… gods, this could be really great."

"Brilliant," Harry corrected. "And I have the perfect name."

"What's that?"

"Well, obviously the best name would be Ginny Potter's The Sexiest and Most Talented Quidditch Player to Ever Have Lived But Here's Some Interesting Stuff About Others is clearly too long so…"

"Haha," Ginny said. "You're a tosser."

"But a correct one," he said.

Ginny grinned. "Do you have a real name?"

Harry nodded. "Yeah, I do. Playing off what I said about you being the best, I think it applies to your writing as well. You don't give up until you find the truth, get the story. Not in a ruthless way, but like when it came to finding out about that Irishman who Ron was connected to, Mick, you were chasing down leads just like on the pitch. So, what if you called the magazine, Chasing the Quaffle."

Ginny's eyes widened in surprise. "Chasing the… it's perfect!"

He grinned. "Told you."

He tugged her back up in his lap and kissed her neck. "We should celebrate this idea."

But Ginny was already jumping off of his lap and scurrying across the room to make more notes, a big smile on her face. Harry watched her light up in happiness and purpose and thought this was going to be perfect for her.

April 2014…

Ginny chewed her bottom lip as she looked around the space above the hair salon in Diagon Alley that she'd just signed a one year lease on. She'd actually done it. She'd rented her own office space with plans of starting a Quidditch magazine. She had stuff ready for the first six issues and was excited to start putting it all together, but this place, it was the start of her future.

Harry's arms came around her and she sighed as he pulled her back against him. "It definitely needs some work in here."

"A bit," Ginny agreed. "Definitely a fresh coat of paint and we'll set up some desks over there along with a printing press and some shelves full of fresh parchment and ink and… gods, I'm terrified and so excited at the same time."

Harry kissed her temple. "It's going to be great."

"Merlin, I hope so," Ginny admitted. "Or it was just a pipe dream that I wasn't good enough for."

Harry scoffed. "There's nothing you're not good at, Ginny Potter."

"There's lots of things I'm not good at it, Harry," Ginny said. "But this… I really want this."

"Then you'll get it," he assured her. "But there's only one way for sure you're going to be one hundred percent successful."

"What's that?" Ginny asked, giving Harry a curious look.

He walked her back against the wall and pinned her against it. "Same way you won all those matches as a professional Chaser, Gin," he teased, falling to his knees before her. "With an orgasm."

She laughed as he undid her trousers and when his tongue found her, she felt him in place and rode his face until she came. Then she pulled him to his feet and made quick work of his trousers with a smile.

"I need you, Harry."

He pushed at his clothes and when he slid into her, they both cried out. Ginny pulled his mouth to hers for a long kiss as they shagged against the wall and when they slid down to the ground, both breathless and sated, she knew he was right.

He was definitely her good luck charm so this was definitely going to work.

She slapped his arse as she stood up to find her clothes. "Get up and find your clothes, Harry. We have to pick up the kids."

He sighed as he pulled his underwear on. "How many more years until they're all at school again?"

Ginny laughed. "Evie's only two so a lot."

They finished getting dressed and Harry wrapped his arm around her.

"It feels right, Gin. Ginny Potter, writer and editor."

"Yeah," Ginny said, smiling around the room. "It really does."

July 2018…

To say he was nervous was an understatement. Telling Scorpius had been fine and of course Albus knew that his parents would be all right without it. His godfather was gay and Uncle Charlie's partner was Uncle Lee. Then there was his Uncle Colin who was married to Uncle Mads, Uncle Dean and Uncle Seamus, and Dad's friend Padma who was married to Yeona. Not to mention that Molly Anna had announced during family dinner that she liked girls and no one had batted an eye.

But it still felt weird.

Albus shuffled his feet as he went down into the kitchen and found his parents snogging. He tried not to roll his eyes as his dad caged his mum against the counter and his mum made an embarrassing whimper.

"Ew!" Albus exclaimed. "Seriously, don't you two ever stop?"

Harry turned around to look at him with a smile. "Not when your mum is this beautiful. Can't keep my hands off of her."

"Gross," Albus said again, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"Dinner's almost ready, Alby," Ginny said with a bright smile. "There's some fruit in the ice box if you absolutely can't wait."

Albus moved towards the ice box automatically because he stopped. "No, I um, I wanted to talk to you. I mean, nothing bad that is, I just…"

Harry moved across the room to touch his shoulder. "Alby, you can tell us anything."

"I know," Albus whispered, looking down at his feet. "And I know it's not a big deal or whatever but like I just need to say… I like boys and I'm… I'm gay."

Harry's eyes softened. "We know."

"You know?" he gawked, his head shooting up to stare at his dad.

Ginny chuckled and pulled him into her arms. "Well, when you were four you told us very clearly that you and your boyfriend were going to have a daughter one day because a daughter or sister was the only acceptable girl to like. Then I asked if mums were included and you told me only me."

"Oh," Albus said, his cheeks flushing. "So… not a surprise."

"No," Harry said, kissing the top of his son's head. "But we're so proud of you for telling us. You can love whomever you want, Alby. If we've taught you nothing, that's one that we definitely want you to know."

"So," Ginny said, her brown eyes twinkling. "Is there a boy you fancy?"

"Mum!" Albus groaned.

Harry chuckled and draped his arm over his son's shoulders. "Gin, leave him be. Come on, Albus. Let's go tend to the horses."

Albus followed his dad outside, ignoring his mum's teasing. He helped him with the usual evening chores to take care of the horses, not even wondering why his brothers and sisters weren't helping until Harry urged him to sit on the ground with him against the stable door.

"So, what made you decide to come out to us now and not earlier?" Harry asked quietly. "You weren't worried that we wouldn't be happy for you, were you?"

"No," Albus said. "I knew you'd be happy for me I guess I just… I told Scorpius on my birthday."

"Yeah?"

Albus nodded. "He was cool about it."

Albus thought his best friend had been more than cool about it. They'd been hanging out in the dorm with their dorm mates. He and Scorpius always got along decently with them, but Albus knew that they would never be best mates with the other blokes. When Clint Boyle called one of the Hufflepuff boys a poofter, Albus clenched his fists at his sides.

"So what if he is? What does it matter to you?"

Clint sneered. "No one wants someone checking out their bollocks without permission."

"Well, I happen to be very gay and I can assure you, no one could pay me enough to check out your bollocks!"

"Oooh, burn, Clint!" Roger Burns said with a laugh.

Clint scowled and Scorpius grabbed Albus' arm before Clint could say something else and yanked him into the bath.

"Albus! You're gay!" Scorpius exclaimed as he closed the bathroom door.

"What? Yeah? I just said so, didn't I?" At Scorpius' wide eyes, he lowered his lashes nervously. "Um, is that a problem for you?"

"Of course not, you arse! I just wish you would have told me is all."

"I wanted too," Albus said. "I was trying to actually before…"

Scorpius smiled. "Before those tossers interrupted with their homophobic spiels?"

"Yeah," Albus said. "You're my best friend, Scorpius. I wouldn't keep something like that from you."

"Good," Scorpius said. "Now ignore them. I'm proud of you for telling them off. I think that Hufflepuff is very brave for doing what he wants, even if that includes wearing makeup."

"Me too," Albus said. "That's not something… I mean, I don't want to wear makeup, I just… I'm gay."

Scorpius smiled. "Wicked. Now come on, let's talk about our plans for the summer…"

Albus had felt so relieved that his best friend had accepted it without question. He hadn't really thought Scorpius would be upset with it, after all, they both shared the same godfather who was gay. But part of him had still been worried to tell him. He wished his anger on Boyle hadn't been the way the words had come out, but he was relieved just the same. He didn't like having secrets from his best friend. Well, except for one.

While Albus had always known on some level that he liked boys, he had known one hundred percent one month ago when Scorpius had ran up to hug him and his touch had sent his body into overdrive. Scorpius had squeezed his shoulder and Albus' cock had come to full attention so fast, he'd scrambled to get away from his friend before he noticed. No, he wouldn't keep secrets from his best friend, but a little unrequited crush? Nah, those were definitely best left unsaid.

"I know you didn't answer your mother about fancying a boy," Harry began, tearing Albus' attention back to his father. "But I do think that if there is someone, we should make sure that when you're old enough and ready of course — that you're being safe."

Albus groaned, his cheeks heating. "Dad! Please, no! You already gave me the sex talk at Christmas and it was mortifying!"

"It wasn't mortifying," Harry insisted. "It was full of purpose. You know, I had to get the sex talk from Padpa and Moopa and they brought out diagrams."

Albus buried his face in his hands. "Please, no more!"

"I have a copy of a book for you that I gave to Jamie and I want you to read it, Albus. There's bits in there that will apply to you. Just because you can't get someone pregnant, doesn't mean that you don't have to be safe"

"Dadddd! Merlin, kill me now!"

"If you have any more questions," Harry continued, ignoring his son's tortured groans. "You can always come to me or go to your godfather. Your godfather probably has better answers since I'm not very knowledgeable in gay sex."

"Dad, please no!"

Harry chuckled. "Alby, I know it's embarrassing, but this is important. Snogging or handjobs or blowjobs and the works is something we need to discuss. When it comes to self pleasure —"

"Dad, please, for the love of Merlin, stop!" Albus begged. "I remember your talk, I swear! I paid attention!"

Harry put his arm around his shoulders. "All right, but promise me if you have any questions you'll come to me."

"There's no way you actually talked about this with Moopa and Padpa, Dad," Albus said.

"I did," Harry told him. "Moopa was very informative! In fact, he's the first person I told when I had sex for the first time. I wanted to be good at it and I wasn't ashamed to ask for advice on how to make your mum orgasm as many times as possible."

Albus looked horrified. "Dad! I love you, but I am NEVER asking you for sex advice."

Harry grinned. "You're right, it might be better to ask your mum. She's much more knowledge when it comes to pleasuring a man than I am."

Albus groaned and Harry laughed. "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you, Dad?"

"Maybe a little," Harry teased. "It's my privilege as your dad. But in all seriousness, I just want you to be safe and happy."

"I will be. I promise," Albus said. "I don't even have a boyfriend. I don't even want a boyfriend yet."

"I know," Harry told him. "But when you do, I want you to be prepared."

"Dad, there's not even a boy to snog on the horizon," Albus insisted, his cheeks heating.

Harry tugged him closer in his arms and kissed the top of his head. "All right, Alby. But remember, if you need advice, don't be afraid to ask."

Albus nodded and scrambled out of his father's embrace and hurried back to the house; his cheeks flushed in embarrassment. When he got to his bedroom, he turned at the last minute and went to the room next door to find his older brother reading the newest edition of Chasing the Quaffle on his bed.

"You all right?" James asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

James was fourteen and would be entering his fourth year at Hogwarts in September. His brown eyes were watching him curiously.

"I'm gay."

"All right."

"I thought you should know."

James' lips curved. "I kind of already thought you might be. Scorpius, huh?"

Albus blushed. "Shhh! He's my best mate and I… Merlin, he can never find out! It's bad enough I just told Mum and Dad and Dad tried to give me the sex talk again."

James chuckled. "Better you than me."

Albus loitered in the doorway for a moment longer, sneaking a look at his big brother. "So… we're all right then?"

James tossed the magazine on his bed and moved across the room to stand in front his brother. "Of course, Alby. But, if anyone gives you grief about liking boys, you let me know. I'll set them straight. Now, get out of my room, loser."

James closed the door in his face and Albus grinned. He went back to his own room and found his seven-year-old-brother building Legos on their bedroom floor with his twin sister. Albus stretched out on his bed and Ella jumped up to sit with him.

"Are you sad, Alby?"

"No."

"Are you cross?"

"No."

"Are you happy?"

"I'm starting to be annoyed," he said, giving her a look.

Ella, with her dark black curls and bright emerald green eyes only beamed at him from under her lashes. "Want to play Legos?"

"All right," Albus said, moving down to the floor to play with his siblings as Lily skipped into the room to join them.

Lily would be turning eleven in November and she sat next to him a smile. "You told Mum and Dad that you're gay?"

"Yeah," Albus said, lifting a eyebrow at her. "How did you know?"

She pushed her glasses up her freckled nose, her big brown eyes beaming at him. "I was listening by the stables with Extendable Ears. What's a handjob?"

Albus blushed. "Merlin, Lily!"

"What? Daddy said it."

"Ask Dad then."

"What's a handjob?" Ella repeated, looking between Albus and Lily curiously.

"Alby likes boys so it's something boys must do together," Lily said mater-of-factly, tossing her long bright red hair over her shoulder.

Albus rolled his eyes as Everett looked up at him.

"You like boys? That's mint. Evie, go get Jamie in here to help us."

Genevieve, who was six, was building her own Lego building away from Everett's massive city. She jumped to her feet screaming for James and Albus gave his brother a look.

"Jamie won't come and play Legos with you, Ev."

"Yes, he will," Everett said. "He can't say no to Evie."

Sure enough, James came into the room, Evie holding his hand proudly and took a seat on the floor.

"All right, what are we building?"

Everett held out the train he'd just put together. "Jamie, can you help make the track so that the train runs on it? I want to build a huge arch that goes over the wardrobe."

"Sure, Ev," James said, accepting the toy and exchanging an amused look with Albus.

Albus grinned at his brother and sisters and thought yeah, he was really glad his family knew.

Then Ella turned to James. "Jamie, are handjobs something that boys do together?"

James flushed red. "Bloody hell, Ella! Where did you hear that from?"

"Lily," Ella said. "She used Extendable Ears."

James glowered at Lily and held his hand out. "Pass them here, right now, or I'll tell Dad you were eavesdropping on his talk with Albus."

Lily reluctantly passed them over and the winked at Albus. "I have another pair in my room."

Albus snorted as he sifted through the Legos. Yeah, there was no place like home.

While Albus was upstairs with his siblings, Harry had watched his son hurry off with his cheeks flaming red before he'd headed into the house to find his wife.

"Well?" Ginny asked.

Harry wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Well, nothing. He's going to be just fine."

"Did you go over the talk again?"

"A bit," Harry admitted. "I told him if he needed advice to go to you."

Ginny elbowed him. "Git."

Harry kissed her cheek. "Well, you clearly are the one with more skills here, Gin." At her look, he kissed her again. "I also told him he can always come to either of us or Theo. He told us and he's happy, Gin. He told his best friend. He's open with us. I couldn't ask for more."

Ginny turned in his arms to kiss him. "Me neither."

Harry's lips met hers with a soft sigh and he knew that when Albus was ready to talk, he would be ready for him. Even if it he knew it was going to embarrass him just as much as his son.

But maybe it wouldn't hurt to talk to Theo first, just in case he needed a bit of advice.

~ Final Epilogue ~

February 2025…

Lily Potter was doing her best not to stare, but it was really hard not to when one of the best looking blokes in all of Hogwarts was doing pull-ups on a bar someone had charmed onto the wall of the Gryffindor common room. Each time he lifted himself up above the bar, his shirt rose up half an inch and Lily bit her bottom lip.

"You're drooling."

"I'm not," Lily insisted, giving her cousin and one of her best friends, Roxie Weasley, a sharp look.

"I definitely see drool," Ava Longbottom said, a soft smile on her face. "Not that I can blame her. Sometimes looking at Oak Wood makes me want to lick him from his head to to his toes."

Lily definitely wanted to lick him. Everywhere. Oakley Wood was the star Keeper of Gryffindor's Quidditch team and the team captain. He was fit with broad shoulders, dark brown shaggy hair and the softest brown eyes that Lily had ever seen and she'd been crushing on him hard for the last few months.

Oakley Wood had always been good looking and she would be lying to herself if she didn't admit that she'd fancied him for years, but that had always been a passing attraction, not like this. Not since she'd returned from the holidays and gone to Quidditch practice early and walked in on her teammate and captain in nothing but a towel. She'd watched a water droplet fall from his shaggy locks to his shoulder and trail down his collarbone, just past his left nipple and down that flat toned stomach beneath the towel and she might have forgotten how to breathe properly in the process.

Ever since that day almost two months ago, her dreams had left her aching and randy for anything and everything Oakley Wood.

"You should just ask him out," Roxie said, brushing her long dark brown hair behind her ear. Her blue eyes were bright and always seemed to pop against her dark complexion. Lily thought she was one of the most beautiful women she'd ever seen.

Lily shook her head, sneaking a look over at her cousin. "I couldn't! Besides, he only just broke up with Mei Zhao in December."

"He's been single long enough," Roxie teased.

"One hundred!" someone screamed as Oakley jumped down, lifting his shirt up to wipe his face and revealing his gorgeous toned stomach.

He gave a bow and someone whistled. Oakley gave a small wave before he headed over to where refreshments had been set out by whomever had thrown the party and Roxie gave Lily a shove.

"Go!"

Lily adjusted her glasses as she caught herself and headed over to the table, pretending to be interested in the sweets there. She looked up at Oakley as he reached for some strawberries and before she could speak, some fifth year blonde saddled up close to him.

"That was ah-mazing, Oak!"

Oakley sent her a wide smile. "Thanks. It was a dare so, you know, I had to do it."

The girl touched his arm and stared at him in reverence. "It was wonderful. How do you stay so fit?"

Oakley gave her a smile. He made to move back but the girl latched on her, moving closer to him. Oakley's eyes wandered around the room looking slightly panicked. A rush of warmth went through Lily as she realized that maybe her captain wasn't that interested in the blonde.

"Oak?" she called out, her heart racing when those dark brown eyes snapped to hers. "Sorry to interrupt, but I have a question about something from practice."

Oakley shimmied his way out from the blonde's grip and around the table. "Absolutely, Potter." He put his arm around her and steered her away from the table and down into one of the study rooms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! She was getting a little much and I was trying to come up with a nice way to get away without hurting her feelings."

Lily smiled at that. Of course he hadn't wanted to hurt her feelings, he was a genuinely nice guy. "No problem. I thought you looked a bit panicked and figured if I was wrong, you would tell me would talk later."

"I owe you one," Oakley said with a smile.

"It was no problem," Lily said again.

Oakley stared at her for a moment before his hand moved to run through his hair. "Well, um, I should go then."

"Right," Lily said, wringing her hands together, nervously. "Or you could stay."

"Down here?" Oakley teased, his lips quirking into a smile.

"Yes," Lily said, her pulse racing at the fact that he wasn't running off.

Oakley took a step towards her and then another before he reached out and brushed his thumb over her wrist. "But the party's upstairs, Lily."

She shivered at his lips saying her name. It was so rare for him to call her anything but Potter and she liked the way her first name sounded on his lips.

"Yes," Lily said, her eyes on his lips. "It is upstairs."

Oakley's eyes darkened and she honestly didn't know which one of them moved first, but their lips met and her whole world shifted. Oakley's thumb kept brushing her wrist in soft circles, but he didn't touch her otherwise, his lips meeting hers for long, deep kisses that made her heart pound in her chest and her knickers damp in desire. She raised her free hand up tentatively and brushed his shaggy locks behind his ear and he made a keening noise that surprised her half a second before he pinned her back against the wall and devoured her mouth.

Lily had kissed boys before. Lots of them actually. She loved snogging. She loved losing herself in the touch of someone's lips. She'd once spent three hours snogging Luca Rossi's brains out when he was a sixth year and she was fifth. She'd dated William Higgins for six months and done just about everything a girl could do without going all the way. She'd cried buckets when William broke up with her and then spent a few weeks snogging Henry Rawlings all over the castle. She loved kissing. She loved the feeling it gave her, but no one, no one had ever kissed her like Oakley Wood was kissing her.

His hands skimmed up her sides, gently brushing her breasts and making her tremble, his mouth never leaving hers. When his hands fell on her hips, she let out a startled squeak when he lifted her to make her taller and she wrapped her legs around his waist automatically. His tongue met hers over and over again and when he finally came up for air, she knew her mouth was as swollen as his and she was panting.

Oakley's soft smile made a dimple break in his cheek. "I've wanted to do that for a really long time."

"You have?" Lily asked, her cheeks heating.

He nodded, brushing his thumb over her bottom lip. "You're gorgeous, Lily."

"I've wanted to kiss you for a long time too," she admitted.

Oakley's smile widened. "Will you come to Hogsmeade with me on Saturday?"

"Like a date?" she whispered, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Exactly like that, yeah," he said.

Lily grinned from ear to ear. "I'd really like that, Oak."

He brushed his thumb over her bottom lip. "I'd really like to snog you some more."

Lily slid her hands over his shoulders and into his shaggy locks, shaking her own bright red hair over her shoulders. "What's stopping you?"

The tip of his thumb slid between her lips and when she sucked on it, his eyes darkened. "Not a bloody thing."

Then he crushed his mouth back to hers.

Their first date in Hogsmeade was much more fun than Lily had anticipated. After spending an agonizing hour with Roxie and Ava, trying to find something to wear that would both keep her warm and look sexy, she'd chosen dark green tights and a black jumper that she nicked from her dad. It was baggy on her and warm and she loved it. She left her hair down, but wore a black toque on her head and Oakley's eyes lit up when he saw her.

They walked all around the village talking about Quidditch and their families. Oakley told her how that as much as he loved playing the game, he was more interested in coaching and he hadn't figured out how to tell his father yet.

"Do you think he'll be upset?" Lily asked.

"Yeah, I do," Oakley admitted. "I'm a great Keeper and I think if I worked harder, I could maybe play professionally like he did, but… it's not what I want. As much as I love the game, I really enjoy watching it more and well, guiding others in it. I don't know if coaching is the right thing for me either, but it's what I'm leaning towards. What about you? You're an incredible Seeker! Are you going to try to play professionally like your mum?"

Lily shook her head. "No. I love to play, but I don't want to live and breathe Quidditch like she did. If I wanted to pursue it, I know my mum would help, but it's not for me."

Oakley nodded. "Well, you're still only a sixth year so you have time to change your mind."

"I do," she agreed. "But if I'm honest, I think I want to work with broomsticks."

"Broomsticks?" Oakley said, his eyebrow rising. "Like creating them?"

Lily nodded. "Yeah. Look at the newest edition of the Firebolt that just came out. It's the fastest broom ever invented and the speed is amazing, but it also doesn't have enough stability. If you turn too sharply, the tail takes a nose dive when going too fast. The edition before that one was great, but there's more to racing brooms that just speed and I think it would be kind of brilliant to help design one."

"Yeah, it would be," Oakley replied. "Sounds brilliant actually."

Lily smiled. "I hope so. I'll need NEWTS in Charms and Transfiguration, but I think I'll be all right."

"Me too," Oakley said, squeezing her hand in his.

When they finally went to the Three Broomsticks for some butterbeer, Lily couldn't stop smiling. They sat there talking some more for another hour before he leaned across the bench and kissed her again.

And it was even better than she remembered.

When they returned to Hogwarts, he asked her to be his girlfriend and she nodded, unable to stop smiling. The first thing she did when she got back to her dorm was pull out her communication mirror and called her brother. Albus' face appeared in the mirror half a second later, his hair tousled and an obvious hickey on his neck.

"Well, well, well," Lily teased. "What did I interrupt?"

"Nothing," Albus said, blushing. "Scorpius just left to have dinner with his dad. What's going on?"

"I had my date with Oakley."

"And?"

"It was amazing!" Lily gushed.

Albus gave her an amused stare in the mirror as she went on and on about her date. She was still telling her brother all about how incredible Oakley's kisses were when her dad's voice interrupted.

"Is that Lily? Who is she kissing?"

A moment later, Harry's face appeared in the mirror.

"Hi, Daddy."

"Hi, baby girl," he said with a big smile. "I miss you. Who are you kissing?"

"My boyfriend."

"Rex's boy?"

"No, Daddy," Lily said, trying not to roll her eyes. "We broke up last year, remember?"

Harry frowned. "Who's this bloke then?"

"Harry, Alby, I thought you were coming down for dinner," Ginny's voice rang out before her face appeared in the mirror next to Harry's. "Oh, hello, Lily, dear. How's school?"

"She's kissing some boy," Harry said.

"It's not some boy, Daddy," Lily said, giving her mum a look. "He's my new boyfriend. He just asked me to be his girlfriend after our date today so it's really new, but I like him. His name's Oakley Wood."

"Wood? Isn't that Oliver and Katie's boy?"

"It is," Ginny said.

Lily rolled her eyes. "Do you two know everybody's parents?"

Harry chuckled. "Only if they're lucky."

Albus snorted. "Dad still hates Scorpius' dad."

"I don't hate him, I just don't like him," Harry said. "There's a clear difference. At least I like Oliver. Your sister has better taste than you."

"Scorpius isn't his dad."

"No, thank goodness. He's a nice young man and he makes you happy so I like him," Harry reasoned. "But I still don't like his father. I don't understand how you can have such terrible taste, Alby."

Albus rolled his eyes. "Dad, get over it. You don't even make sense."

Ginny sighed. "Lily, dear, sorry to cut this short, but we're just about to have dinner and the boys have probably blown something up by being alone for five whole minutes."

Lily chuckled, thinking about her four year old twin brothers. "That might be true. I love you all. Bye."

Her family disappeared from the mirror and she couldn't help but chuckle. Henry and Hunter were definitely a handful and she knew that her parents definitely had to keep their eyes on them. She fixed her hair and applied fresh lip gloss before going down to dinner to fill Roxie and Ava in on her date and if she was lucky, maybe more time to snog Oakley.

She was lucky and by April, the two of them were inseparable. When they weren't snogging all over the castle, they were cuddled together talking about anything and everything. Lily met his parents through the mirror with plans of having dinner with them over the summer. She introduced Oakley to hers the same way and when the school year came to end, she had her legs wrapped around his waist as they snogged intensely on Platform Nine and Three Quarters until someone cleared their throat very loudly.

They spent the summer together and when Lily returned to Hogwarts for her final year, Oakley promised to talk to her every day and come to Hogsmeade every weekend. They hit a snag just after the Christmas holidays and broke up for over a month. Oakley told her it was too hard to do long distance and Lily was devastated. She pulled out of her mirror and called her brother, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Albus answered with a scowl. "Don't you have like classes and stuff?"

"You love talking to me," Lily said.

His eyes narrowed. "Why are you crying? What happened?"

Lily's eyes blurred with tears. "Oak broke up with me."

"What? Didn't he just tell you he loved you like a month ago?" Albus demanded.

"He said long distance is too hard," Lily told him. "It is too hard! I miss not seeing him every day and he's busy trying to deal with the disaster that the Chudley Cannons are and…"

"No, I don't care if it's bloody hard!" Albus exclaimed. "He just bloody told you he loved you like a month ago and now he's breaking up with you? Fuck that! How do you want to do this? I can whip up any potion you desire? Diarrhea? Vomiting? Poison?"

"Alby!"

"No," Albus said, shaking his head. "That's a shit move! You don't deserve to be treated like that!"

Lily gave her brother an adoring look. She loved that he had her back, but sometimes she thought her brothers could be a little extreme.

"It wasn't like that," she began, closing her eyes. "He… he called me on the mirror and we were chatting about our days and he was saying how much he missed me and how hard it was not seeing me all the time and… I get it, Alby. I miss him too!"

"Who are you talking to?" James demanded, his face appearing in Albus' mirror. "Wotcher, Lily."

"Wood broke up with her," Albus said.

James' eyes darkened. "Where are we hiding the body?"

Lily rolled her eyes. "Will you two stop being so dramatic?"

"Not dramatic," James said. "No one breaks your heart, Lily. Unacceptable. We invited him over for Christmas."

"We should invite him out for a drink and put a laxative potion in his pint," Albus said.

"No, you should not!" Lily exclaimed. "Will you two listen to me for two seconds?"

James gave a dramatic sigh. "You're crying which means he hurt you, which means it's our job to make him pay for that."

"No, it's your job to listen to me and make me feel better," Lily said.

"Lily, are you trying to tell me that Wood being stuck in a pub with uncontrollable diarrhea wouldn't make you feel better?" James teased.

"If we slip him one of those nougats from Uncle Fred and Uncle George's shop every time he shats, there will be small flames," Albus suggested.

"NO!" Lily said. "You two are impossible!"

She closed her mirror, not feeling any better. Instead, she scrubbed at her eyes and left her dorm to head down to the Slytherin dormitories. She asked one of the portraits for assistance and five minutes later her fifteen-year-old-sister stepped out of the portrait.

"Lily, what happened?"

Lily shook her head and took Ella's hand, leading her to Hufflepuff to find Genevieve. Ten minutes later, the three of them were sitting in the hidden room of the hot springs and Lily was crying again.

"Jamie and Alby were no help at all," Lily complained. "I just… I don't know what to do. I'm in love with him. I'm madly in love with him and I know long distance is hard, it's hard for me too, but he just… he didn't even want to try to work it out and I don't know what I did wrong!"

Ella put her arm around her sister, resting her head on Lily's shoulder. "You didn't do anything wrong, Lily. What did Oak say?"

"He said that it was just too hard and he wouldn't say anything else and… I hate that I can't stop crying!"

Genevieve rested her head on Lily's other shoulder. "You cry as much as you want. Your heart is broken."

Lily let her sisters hold her as she cried and by the time they left to head back to their rooms, she felt a little better, but drained. She knew that Oakley had made a good point. Long distance wasn't easy, but it was only supposed to be for a few more months and she hated that he didn't give her a real reason. Part of her was worried he might have met someone else or worse, stopped loving her. But no matter where her mind went, she couldn't help but feel heartbroken.

After a week, her heartbreak had turned to anger. James and Albus each called her every day to ask her if she wanted them to do something. When Everett found her and told her that James was getting tickets to the Cannons next match just to boo him from the sidelines, she called her brother and told him he absolutely could not do that.

"It could be fun," Everett said. "Jamie said he would take me along."

"No," Lily said. "I appreciate the support, but I won't have my brothers out there terrorizing my ex-boyfriend just because he broke my heart."

"That's exactly the reason we should be," Everett said, pulling her into a tight hug.

By the end of second week, her anger had passed, but she still missed him. Roxie and Ava had both commented on her lack of energy and as much as she tried to concentrate on her school work, she found herself gazing out the window and thinking about Oakley more than she should be.

It was why at the end of the third week, Roxie and Ava dragged her to Hogsmeade on the Saturday to get out of her funk. The last person she expected to run into there was Oakley.

He stood outside of the Three Broomsticks with a bouquet of brightly coloured tulips.

"Lily, hi."

Roxie stepped in front of Lily, giving Oakley an evil look. "You're not welcome here, Wood."

"Roxie, may I please talk to Lily?"

"She doesn't want to talk to you," Roxie said.

"Rox, I'll talk to him," Lily said, stepping out from behind her cousin.

Roxie and Ava exchanged a look before they headed inside of the Three Broomsticks and left her alone with Oakley. He bit the side of his bottom lip and gingerly held out the bouquet.

"I'm a wanker."

Lily crossed her arms in front of her chest. "A complete wanker!"

He nodded. "These last few weeks… Lily, I'm sorry. I'm so in love with you, Lily Potter and not seeing you… it's so bloody hard! I want to see you every day and I want to wake up beside you and kiss you goodnight and… I know I don't deserve it, but will you please give me another chance?"

"You hurt me," she whispered.

"I know," he said, his eyes full of regret. "I thought if I just broke things off with you, it would be better and… it wasn't. I've been so bloody miserable. I was hit a dozen times with a Bludger this week alone and took two Quaffles to the head because I've been so distracted. You're all I think about and I miss you and… have I mentioned I'm a wanker?"

Lily adjusted her glasses as she stared into his warm brown eyes. Just being near him again made her feel warm and happy. "It's not going to get any easier, Oakley. I still have four months left of school."

"I know," he said. "But we're going to talk every day and I'm going to keep being here every weekend and when you get off the train in June, I'm going to be there waiting for you with open arms if you'll give me another chance. Please, Lily. I'm so sorry I hurt you. Please give me another chance."

Lily took the flowers from him and then she linked her fingers with his. "Do you love me, Oakley?"

"More than life," Oak said, bringing her fingers to his lips. "More than Quidditch. More than anyone or anything. I want you in my life, Lily. Not just for now, but for always. I don't want to be without you ever again. I love you."

"I love you too," Lily said, standing on her toes to press her lips to his.

Oakley's arms came around her as he kissed her back. When they broke apart, Lily stared into his eyes.

"But if you ever decide to break up with me again, it better be for a bloody good reason!"

Oakley chuckled and brushed her red hair behind her ear. "Only a complete wanker would break up with you a second time, Lily Potter, and I can promise you, I learn from my mistakes."

"Kiss me, Oakley."

He did and then they went into the Three Broomsticks for butterbeer and sat in the same booth they had on their first date. Oakley took her hand in his and kissed her palm.

"I love you, Lily Potter."

"I love you, too," she whispered and then they were kissing again and everything was right.

Lily finished Hogwarts in June of 2026 and in August, Oakley proposed and she said yes.

"We're engaged!" Lily exclaimed, running into Clevedon Court, her hand held out to show off her beautiful rose gold and diamond engagement ring.

"You're what?" Harry exclaimed, freezing with his hand on the knife he was using to chop yellow peppers.

"I'm engaged!" Lily repeated, her arm around Oakley's waist.

Ginny's eyes widened before she ran around the counter to hug her daughter. "Oh, darling! That's wonderful news! Let me see this ring!"

Lily extended her hand out to show her mum and Ginny admired it with a wide smile. She couldn't stop staring at the beautiful vintage flower round cut diamond encrusted with diamonds surrounding it with a double band peppered in round and oval diamonds embedded in the rose gold. "Isn't it beautiful, Mum?"

"Not nearly as beautiful as this radiant smile of yours," Ginny said, moving to hug Oakley. "Oakley, dear, welcome to the family."

"Thank you, Mrs Potter."

"Oh, please, call me Ginny."

"Daddy," Lily said, looking around her mum to where Harry was still standing, frozen behind the counter. "Daddy, are you going to say anything?"

Harry stared at her, his eyes wide. "But… you're only eighteen."

"Dad, I'm going to be nineteen in November," Lily said. "And you were eighteen when you proposed to Mum."

"I know we're young, Sir," Oakley said, turning to look at Lily with a completely love-sick look on his face. "But I love your daughter. She's the greatest thing that's ever happened to me and I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

"I want that too," Lily said, standing on her toes to kiss him.

Harry let out a long exhale before he came around the counter, his arms opening as Lily ran into them. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I'm not ready for this."

Lily smiled and tilted her head back to look up at her father. "I love you, Daddy."

Harry wrapped his arms tightly around her and Lily snuggled into his embrace. "Congratulations, baby girl."

Lily beamed as she took Oakley's hand in hers. She couldn't wait.

~ Final Epilogue ~

October 2026…

James Potter groaned when his mum told him that he had to go get dress robes for the upcoming Wizard's Ball in December. He hated having to get all dressed up and go with his parents to the Annual Wizard's Ball every New Year's Eve. His parents had done their best to keep him and his siblings out of the spotlight, but having famous parents on top of being the heir to one of oldest titles in Wizarding Britain made it hard for him to avoid not being known.

"Jamie, pop by Vane Fashion and get fitted. Romilda probably already has something in mind for you to wear and remember, you need a date."

James wrinkled his nose. Another thing he hated about these big to-dos, bringing a date. It had to be someone respectable enough to not cause a stir when they showed up on his arm, but it also had to be someone who wasn't going to bore him to tears. Last year he'd brought a Russian ballerina whom he'd met who had been absolutely gorgeous, but they'd had nothing in common. It had made the evening rather dull.

"I know you hate them, Jamie," Ginny began, giving him a sympathetic look. "But these balls are important as we've talked about, once you turn thirty, your father is going to formally pass you his title of Marquess."

"Splendid," James muttered.

"Jamie…"

"I mean, brilliant, yeah, can't wait. Will be the total best day ever."

Ginny rolled her eyes. "Gods, you're your father's son."

"Hope so or I've been calling the wrong bloke dad for ages."

At his mum's look, he leaned in and pecked her cheek.

"I'll get my robes, promise."

As the eldest son of Harry and Ginny Potter, the Marquess and Marchioness of Somerset, James had already inherited the title Earl of Somerset. It had taken some getting used to when people called him Lord Potter and he knew his father was already feeling anxious to pass it off to him.

It didn't make James any more excited to find dress robes.

He grabbed his Auror cloak and headed out to go to work, whistling as he did. He was officially an A3 in the Dark Arts Unit and he loved his job. He loved going to work and catching the bad guys. It was something he's dreamed of doing for as long as he could remember, but especially after he'd been kidnapped as a kid.

He still remembered how scared he'd been and how terrified poor Alby had been. He never wanted anyone else to experience something like that. He wanted to help people and this was the perfect way of doing it. He met his partner, Cassidy Winchester, by the lifts. Cassidy was an A3 like him and had gone to Hogwarts with him. They'd been friends and roommates and having him as his partner now felt like he was following his father's footsteps even more. Cass had short light brown hair and hazel-green eyes. He usually had a day or two's worth of stubble because he hated shaving and claimed that without it, he looked too much like a baby. James loved to tease him when he finally got around to shaving it off.

They talked about the latest case that they'd just closed, finished up some paperwork, and then James snuck out around lunch time to try to go to Vane Fashion. He stepped inside and was immediately greeted by the pretty older woman with dark curls. He tried not to grimace as she fawned over him.

"Oh, Lord Potter! We're so happy to have you pop in and see us," Romilda Vane exclaimed reverently. "Goodness, you're even handsomer than your dad."

"Thanks," James said, not knowing how else to answer that. The woman was old enough to be his mother and was always flirting wildly. "I'm here for dress robes for the ball."

"Of course!" Romilda Vane beamed. "We'll need to match them with your date."

"Let's just work on me first," James said.

Romilda nodded and ordered him to the other side of the shop to be fitted. A minute later, tape measures were moving around him and getting his size before Vane began to toss fabrics at him left and right.

"You'd look divine in something violet and gold or no, maybe we should go to red and gold or what about a deep vibrant ocean blue? That would make you stand out!"

James wrinkled his nose. "Whatever you think is fine."

"Hayley!"

Someone crept out of the back room holding an arm full of fabrics. Her hair was a light reddish gold, not quite Weasley red, but it definitely had that burst of sunlight that James always associated with his mum's and sister's hair. It was piled on top of her head in a messy bun, but he couldn't see any more of her due to the fabrics she was holding.

"Hadley," the girl muttered. "Not Hayley."

"Sorry, dear," Romilda said in a way that James rather thought felt insincere.

The young woman got to work, taking down his measurements and nodding at anything Romilda told her. When she finished, she opened a folder and held it up to Romilda.

"What about this, Mrs Vane?"

James caught sight of what looked like a black suit with copper tones before Romilda shook her head.

"Absolutely not! Do you have any idea who this is? My designs only!"

"Yes, Mrs Vane."

Romilda disappeared to do something or other and James offered a smile to the young woman.

"I think I'd look wicked in that."

The young woman shot him a look of annoyance. "Too bad. It's not what you're getting. I'll have to save it for some other bloke."

James frowned. "Seems a tad unfair. I could rock that outfit."

A flash of dimple caught his eye before the woman bit back her smile. "Some other time then."

When Romilda came back, she flicked her wand at something dark red before it began to glide over James. He waited for her to decide before she seemed satisfied and let the fabric drop.

"I'll have it for you by the end of the week, Lord Potter," Romilda said.

James nodded. "All right. Let me know when I can come pick it up."

Romilda disappeared into the back again and James walked over to wear the young woman was sorting fabrics.

"We weren't properly introduced. I'm James Potter."

"And I'm not interested."

"Ouch," James said, shoving his hands into his pockets. "A bloke can't even say hi?"

Her dimples flashed. "Hi. I'm Hadley."

"Hadley…"

"Pritchard," she said with a sigh. "And I have a lot of work to do."

"But you get a break…"

Hadley gave him a look. "What part of 'uninterested' did you misunderstand?"

"All of it. I'm incredibly interesting."

"And annoying."

"Constantly," he agreed. "Ice cream makes me less annoying. Want to get some?"

"No, thank you."

"Who says no to ice cream? That's practically a crime. I'm an Auror, you know, I could arrest you for that."

Hadley's lips twitched into a smile again. "Oh really, Auror Potter? What exactly would the charge be?"

James winked. "Hate crime."

A laugh escaped her and James grinned.

"Ice cream is fantastic and I refuse to believe you don't want any.."

She gave him a look before her lips curved slightly. "All right. Seven o'clock. I'll meet you there."

James grinned an identical smile to his father's and one he was well aware sent women into a tailspin whenever they saw it. "Can't wait."

He was whistling when he left the shop and wondered what kind of ice cream would catch the lovely Hadley's eye. He Disappeared back to the Ministry and caught his grandfather coming out of the lifts.

Sirius Black was still a good looking man. He was going to be sixty-seven in a few weeks and his hair was still fairly dark, but with silver highlights that somehow managed to look like they were professionally done by a salon. He had his Wizengamot robe over his arm and was wearing his usual attire of black jeans, a black shirt, and a leather motorcycle jacket.

"Hi, Padpa!"

Sirius' face broke out into a smile when he saw him. "Hi, Jamie. Where are you coming from?"

"Vane Fashion," James said. "Mum said I needed new robes for the Wizard's Ball."

"Fun," Sirius said. "Better you than me. I avoid those things like the plague."

James knew that was true. Sirius had never attended a Wizard's Ball and had passed his title of Falmouth down to his son Leo. Mina was older, but because she wasn't a man, she couldn't inherit the title (totally ridiculous in James' opinion). Now Leo was Lord Falmouth and he went to the Wizard's Ball every year with his wife Aydin, but they only went to get donations for their little animal clinic. However, Sirius kept his seat in the Wizengamot under Lord Black because as he told his grandkids, he rather liked it.

"So what's with the big smile then?"

"Maybe I'm just happy," James said.

Sirius gave him a knowing look. "Who's the bird?"

James grinned. "I'll keep you posted. We're going for ice cream after work."

"Cheap date," Sirius teased. "As a future marquess, you could do better."

James rolled his eyes. "I just met her. She has adorable dimples and reddish gold hair."

"A red head!" Sirius exclaimed, a bark of laughter slipping out. "You're fucked, Jamie. Potters are doomed to fall for red heads."

"That's not true," James insisted. "Just because Mum's a red head doesn't mean all Potters are doomed to like red heads. Look at Scorpius or Oakley!"

Sirius' lips twitched. "Your grandfather and great-grandfather fell for a redheads as well, different shades of red, but still red and I'm just saying, eldest son… better watch out or you might be hearing wedding bells."

"Haha," James said. "Listen, I have to get back to work, but don't be telling everyone I'm getting married, Padpa. You're the worst gossip ever."

"I would never," Sirius said, clutching a hand to his heart in mock horror and making his grandson laugh. "See you around, Jamie."

James gave him a hug and then hurried off to the lifts to return to work, but he was thinking about Hadley's dimples the whole time.

He was ten minutes early at Fortescue's and his leg jiggled as he waited. When he saw her coming down Diagon Alley, his smile widened. Her hair was in an even messier bun than when he'd seen her and now that she wasn't holding arms full of fabrics he could appreciate her more. She was dressed in blue jeans that hugged a curvy bottom and had a purple blouse on with silver buttons under a black leather jacket. When she got closer, he noticed she was wearing black heeled boots.

"Hey," he said, his tongue coming out to meet his bottom lip. "You look amazing."

Hadley raised an eyebrow. "I look like I just finished my shift."

"You're a take no mercy kind of girl, aren't you?"

She shrugged. "You must like prickly or you'd have run by now."

James grinned. "Come on, let's go pick out some ice cream. What flavour do you like? It better be something good because if you pick something like pistachio or black liquorice, I'm going to have to leave."

She snorted. "Does anyone even like those flavours?"

"Yes. Psychopaths," James said.

They headed inside and James kept his eyes on Hadley as she looked at all of the choices and then he couldn't help but smile wider when she ordered a triple scoop of chocolate cookies and cream, raspberry ripple, and cotton candy. He ordered himself three scoops as well, but went for two scoops of birthday cake and one of maple fudge. When he sat across from her, he gestured towards the ice cream.

"Guess you like ice cream after all."

"Never said I didn't," she retorted.

James grinned. "So, Hadley Pritchard, tell me something about yourself."

"I'm a fashion designer. Or I will be, as soon as Romilda lets me do more than just make her designs."

"And what does a fashion designer do exactly?" James asked.

"Dream," Hadley said with a smile. "I draw out what I imagine and then I make it from scratch. I want to make something amazing for people to wear, something that will last."

James could understand that. "I can see that. I can't draw at all. Zero artistic talent whatsoever, but I appreciate the talent of being able to create something out of nothing."

"Tell me something about you."

"Oh, you do care? I'm so glad."

She chuckled. "You're funny."

"Sometimes," he teased. "All right, something about me… I hate going to the Annual Wizard's Ball."

Hadley smiled. "So why do you go?"

"Have to," James said. "It's a whole thing. Have you ever been?"

Hadley shook her head. "No. Not exactly something I'd be invited to. I make the clothes for people like you to attend."

"Ridiculous," James said. "Come with me."

Her mouth opened in surprise. "Do I look like kind of girl who wants to parade around your arm at the ball?"

"That makes me want to take you with me even more."

Hadley stared at him. "You don't even know me."

"I want to," James admitted. "I think you're fascinating."

"Why? Am I the first witch who's not fawning all over you?" she demanded. When she saw his face, she blanched. "Oh gods, I am, aren't I?"

"Let's just say that very few people care to say no when they hear the Potter name," James said.

"You're not that good looking," Hadley said.

James put a hand over his heart. "Another direct hit!"

Hadley smiled and James couldn't help but notice it made her dimples more prominent. "I just mean, just because you're James Potter doesn't mean people should fawn all over you. You're you know, just a bloke."

"Have dinner with me tomorrow night."

Hadley hesitated.

"Please," James said, giving her a slow smile. "I want to know more about you. I want to know everything."

"I'm really not that interesting," Hadley told him.

"Let me be the judge of that," James said.

Hadley bit her bottom lip. "I really shouldn't. Mrs Vane won't like me fraternizing with the customers. Thank you for the ice cream, James."

James reached for her hand when she stood up. "Can I do anything to change your mind?"

Hadley's fingers brushed his. "It was lovely meeting you, James."

He watched her go, ridiculously disappointed to see her leave. It was why the next morning, he showed up at Vane Fashion right at open with a bouquet of sunflowers and a hot cocoa. Her eyes widened when she saw him.

"James."

"Good morning, Hadley," he said. "Hot cocoa?"

She accepted the drink, her eyes on his. "What are you doing here?"

"Trying another tactic," he admitted. "If you can't have dinner with me, maybe a hot cocoa is all right."

Hadley's lips twitched. Her hair was down today and James loved how it danced over her shoulders. "You're persistent."

"You're gorgeous."

Her cheeks flushed before she took a sip of the hot cocoa. "James…"

"Hadley, have dinner with me tonight."

"I have to work late."

"Tomorrow then."

"I…"

"Saturday then," he prompted. "I'm not about using bribery if necessary."

Hadley sighed. "I really can't. I'm sorry."

James' face fell before he passed her the flowers in his hands. "All right. I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I get it. But I do want something."

Hadley stared at him. "What's that?"

"That suit you designed. I want to wear it to the Wizard's Ball."

Her blue eyes widened. "You — no, you don't."

"Yes, I do," he insisted. "I'll tell Mrs Vane myself. I want it and I would be honoured if you'd let me wear it."

"That's not really playing fair."

James smiled. "I did I say I wasn't above using bribery."

Hadley bit her bottom lip. "All right, I'll design your robes and you'll tell people it was me?"

"Promise," he said.

Hadley smiled. "Deal."

Five minutes later, he told a very disgruntled Romilda Vane that he wanted the design Hadley had designed and that he wanted her to make it for him. Romilda was less than pleased, but she reluctantly agreed and then ordered Hadley to pick out the fabric for him while he was here.

Hadley chose a dark black soft fabric along with black velvet and a soft copper, holding it up to him. When she finished, James took her wrist in his hand.

"I can't wait. It looks like we'll be spending some more time together after all."

Hadley's mouth dropped open as he grabbed his cloak and he winked at her. Maybe he still had a chance at changing her mind.

James did finally change her mind. After a week of him popping in to say hi, bringing her ice cream or hot cocoa, and asking her a hundred and one questions about her fashion plans, she grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him down to her mouth for a scorching kiss that surprised both of them.

James was momentarily stunned by her move, but when he caught himself, he walked her back until she was pressed against the mirror. She nipped at his mouth and when his tongue met hers, she let out a low moan that made him rock hard. He reluctantly pulled his mouth away and brushed his thumb over her bottom lip.

"Have dinner with me tonight, Hadley."

Hadley slipped her arms around his neck. "Yes."

Then she kissed him again.

The next thing James knew, they were dating. She had been a year below him at Hogwarts and roommates with his cousin, Rose, but he couldn't ever remember seeing her at the school. A Ravenclaw made sense for her and when he took her to dinner, they talked for hours. They went for walks on the cold beach. They bantered and when she invited him back to her flat, the sex was explosive. Neither of them could deny the chemistry between them and by the time December hit, James knew that he was already falling for her.

He convinced Hadley to show Lily some of her designs and the next thing he knew, his sister was having clothes personally designed for her. Hadley agreed to attend the Wizard's Ball with him in a stunning copper gown she designed herself to match his suit and when she met his parents, she was polite and kind and didn't stare at them like they were celebrities. It made him like her even more.

He met her parents, a lovely couple named Graham and Shanae who ran the bed and breakfast in Hogsmeade known as The Tea Inn. He met her two older brothers, Henry and Hendrix and when he finally took her to a Weasley dinner at the Burrow, she fit in with everyone like she'd always been there.

"You love her," Ginny said to him one night while Hadley played with his younger twin brothers Henry and Hunter on the floor of the living room.

"Hmm?"

"You love her," Ginny repeated.

James' met his mum's brown eyes. "So much, Mum. I can't… she's incredible."

Ginny kissed her son's cheek and a week later, she pulled off her engagement ring and held it out to Harry. "I think it's time we give this to James."

Harry's eyebrow rose. "What?"

"It's the Potter ring, Harry," Ginny said. "Hadley's the one for him. Anyone can see that. It's time we pass on the ring like it should be passed down."

Harry linked his fingers with hers. "Are you sure?"

Ginny looked down at her wedding band with a soft smile. "Absolutely."

When they presented it to James, he stared at his parents in awe. "Mum, Dad…"

"It's yours, Jamie," Harry said. "If you think she's the one, tell her."

He proposed on a quiet balcony made of glass overlooking the Court of Tara at the Annual Wizard's Ball of 2027 and when she said yes, he felt like the happiest man alive.

Their wedding was even bigger than Harry and Ginny's had been. They married in June of 2029 at Clevedon Court in a beautiful wedding. Hadley designed her wedding dress herself and when James said I do, he knew he'd never felt happier.

Hadley left Vane Fashion to open her own boutique in Apricity Lane which she called Fabulous. Unlike Vane Fashion, she didn't design things on the spot, but had her own clothing line. The boutique was for men, women, and children and she made one of a kind things that could only be bought there. James was incredibly proud of her.

They welcomed their first son on the twenty-eighth of May in 2032 whom they named Rhysand James Potter. Two years later, James turned thirty and Harry officially passed him the title of Marquess of Somerset. Usually the title didn't pass until the previous marquess died, but Harry and Theo had drafted their own bill to pass in the Wizengamot in 2020 to allow a father to pass the title on to their heir when they reached the age of thirty. James now became known as Lord Somerset, while Harry kept the title Lord Potter.

A year later in March of 2035, James and Hadley welcomed their second son, Emerson Fleamont Potter. In July of 2037, Flynn Harry Potter was welcomed into the world and finally in December of 2040, they welcomed their daughter Grace Ginevra Potter.

James leaned into his father when Harry put his arm around his shoulders as he held his little girl in his arms. "She's beautiful, Dad."

"Incredibly," Harry said. "I'm so proud of you, Jamie."

James looked across the room at where his wife was sitting in bed with their boys around him, her parents by the bed, and Ginny holding Flynn in her arms and James knew that he was happier than he'd ever been. He passed his daughter into his father's arms and Harry's eyes lit up.

James smiled. "I love you, Dad."

Harry's green eyes met his and the tears that welled up there made James lean in to kiss his father's cheek. "I love you, too, Jamie."

James moved to sit with his wife, kissing her in a deep kiss, not caring that their parents were in the room. "I love you so much, Hadley Grace Potter."

Hadley fisted her hands in his hair, her blue eyes on his. "Thanks for being so persistent, Jamie."

He grinned. "Always."

"I love you," she said.

And James and Hadley Potter lived happily ever after…

Harry couldn't believe that his baby girl, his first little daughter, was getting married in two weeks. He was positive that she'd only been born a few years ago, but looking at her now, her excitement as she talked about her wedding… it was hard to believe.

He kissed Lily's cheek when she left his office, promising to pick up his dress robes on time and thought life was moving too fast sometimes. He sat back at his desk and wondered how the hell he was going to keep his cool during her wedding and not bawl like a baby. He was so focused on how he was planning to keep his cool during the wedding, that he almost didn't notice his wife's Patronus burst through his office door.

"Harry, I need you at the magazine. Kai's been hurt."

Harry frowned as he stood up, grabbing his wand and his cloak. Kai Tommasi had been his wife's personal assistant for the last nine years. The young man was kind and smart and the thought of someone hurting him worried Harry. He thought about detouring to the DAU to tag Ron to help him, but he changed his mind. He didn't know what this was even about yet; he would wait.

Harry Apparated to Diagon Alley and made his way up the steps to the office of Chasing the Quaffle where Ginny owned and operated the popular Quidditch magazine. When he stepped through the door, Daire Donovan stood up.

"They're in Ginny's office, Sir."

Harry nodded his thanks and hurried to the back to his wife's office. When he pulled open the door, the young man jumped out of his skin and Harry's eyes narrowed when he looked him over.

Kai was a very beautiful young man. He was tall and willowy and he usually wore his black hair swept back from his face in perfect spikes, closely shaved on the sides, and always wore sharply drawn black eyeliner and had ruby red lips. Sometimes he even had glitter or did something to his eyes to make them look sultry. Today, the makeup was barely covering his injuries and Harry didn't like seeing him hurt. Kai's lip was bleeding. He had a cut over his eyebrow, a bruise forming over his cheek, and he was favouring his left side in a way that told Harry he had injured ribs.

Gavin Goyle came out of the small side bath with a wet cloth and passed it to Kai. "Here, use this, sweetheart."

Kai accepted it with a thanks and Ginny cleared her throat.

"Kai, sweetie, Harry's here to take your statement."

Kai didn't meet Harry's eyes, instead he dabbed at the cut at his lip, his eyes on Gavin. Gavin moved closer to him and gently took his hand.

"You can tell him. No one will hurt you again, I promise."

"I did tell," Kai whispered, his eyes not leaving Gavin's. "It didn't do any good. That's how I ended up running into you."

Gavin grimaced. "This time it will be different. I promise."

Harry looked between them, waiting for some answers. Ginny walked over to him and locked her arm with his.

"Harry, Kai's boyfriend came in here, yelling and cursing out Kai and when Kai refused to go with him he… he punched him right in the face. I tried to stop him and then Gavin came in just as Trent grabbed Kai around the throat and I thought… I thought he was going to strangle him. He was saying awful things!"

"Trent?"

"Trenton Stevens," Ginny said. "He and Kai have been together for over a year. I've never seem him like that before. He was enraged and he kept yelling that Kai belonged to him."

"Where did he go?" Harry demanded.

"He took off," Gavin said. "I pulled him off of Kai and broke his nose and maybe some of his ribs before he ran off screaming that Kai would be sorry."

Harry didn't like the sound of that. Domestics were always the most complicated and the hardest. He looked over at Kai Tommasi and wondered what he was missing here.

"Kai, do you want to tell me what made Trent so upset?" Harry asked. "Why did he come here looking for you?"

"Because he broke up with him," Gavin said. "He broke up with him over a month ago and he's been hiding from him ever since."

Harry's eyes darkened as he understood what Gavin wasn't saying. "Kai, has Trent hurt you before today?"

Kai only gave a small nod and it was Gavin who answered.

"I met Kai four weeks ago, Auror Potter. I was finishing up work for the day on that building near Lancaster and I saw a flash of something glittery and shiny in the alley on the side. When it flashed again, I decided to check it out, thinking maybe it was a dog collar or something. I found him, face down behind the dumpster with a black eye, a broken cheekbone, and cradling his left arm."

Harry's eyes darkened. "What? What happened?"

"He was half unconscious," Gavin continued. "I didn't know if he was a wizard or a Muggle, but when I told him that I was going to take him to the hospital he muttered, no Mungo's. I didn't know what to do so I took him back to my flat and then I called Forest."

Harry thought that was the best decision Gavin could have made. Forest was Gavin's sister-in-law and not only an incredible paediatric healer, but her powerful fae heritage made her a wonderful healer in general.

"Forest came and I told her how I found him. She insisted on taking photos of his injuries first because she said that if he remembered who attacked him, it would be important for records," Gavin said and Harry thanked his luck that his niece was so smart. "He was still mostly unconscious, but she healed his arm and he started to stir a bit. He told her his name was Kai and that he didn't want to go to St Mungo's. She gave him something for the pain and urged him to sleep and I carried him to my bed to rest."

Harry listened as Gavin talked and tried not to smile at the obvious beginnings of a relationship. Gavin explained how Kai had woken up at some point during the night and being confused at his surroundings had wandered out of the room. He had tripped over Gavin's feet, who had been half lying on the too small sofa in the dark. Kai had face planted right into Gavin's crotch on the sofa. After some awkward fumbling, Gavin had stumbled to help him and explained who he was and what had happened.

"You're in my flat," Gavin assured him. "That was my sister-in-law who checked you over. Forest. She's a healer. Are you feeling all right? Do you want some water?"

Kai nodded. "I… please."

Gavin jumped to his feet to get him a glass of water and returned to find Kai curled up in Gavin's blankets. Gavin carefully sat down next to him.

"I'm Gavin."

"I remember," Kai whispered. "You… thank you."

Gavin nodded and passed him the glass. "Who hurt you, Kai?"

"It doesn't matter."

"It does matter," Gavin insisted. "Bloody hell, you… the finger marks on your throat… someone tried to strangle you! Forest said you had three broken ribs and your face…"

Kai flinched when Gavin went to touch his cheek. "Thank you for what you did. I… I just need a few moments to gather my bearings and I'll be out of your hair."

"It's all right," Gavin said. "You can stay here as long as you need to."

"You don't even know me."

Gavin smiled. "I know you need a safe place to heal and I'm offering that if you'd like."

"I managed to talk him back into bed and he didn't fully come round until the next day and when he found me in my kitchen, he looked terrified. I told him what happened again and offered him more of the pain potion and he told me had to go. I asked who hurt him, but he refused to tell me. He said he didn't know and promised to repay me for helping him. Then he left."

"You didn't try to stop him?" Harry asked.

Gavin shook his head. "I didn't know who he was and he was so insistent on leaving, I didn't want to hold him hostage or scare him even more. I didn't know what to do. I was worried about him and I kept thinking about him and wondering if he was all right. I had no idea who he was or where he went or who had hurt him. Two days later, when I was leaving the job site again, I saw him walking near the same alley with a small duffel bag. When I approached him, he looked panicked and he had a bruise on his cheek again."

"Hey, Kai, hey," Gavin said, holding his hands up as he gave him a small smile. "I'm Gavin."

"I remember," Kai said. "Thank you for helping me the other day."

"Of course," Gavin said. "Are you all right?"

"Fine," Kai said quickly. "I just tripped over the cat and smacked my face into the door. I'm a klutz."

Gavin nodded. "Right."

"Anyway, I have to go."

"I followed him," Gavin said. "I don't know why exactly, I just… I had this feeling you know? I just had this bad feeling and I'm glad I did because I watched him slip into another alley and make himself comfortable."

"Kai, hey," Gavin said, following him into the alley. "You can't stay here."

"Look, Gavin, I'm a grown man. I'm all right," Kai insisted. "Are you following me?"

"I don't know who hurt you," Gavin whispered. "I don't know who you're running from, but you can't stay here. I'll take you anywhere you want to go. A friend, family… name the place."

Kai blinked, his big blue eyes were outlined in long lashes and dark eyeliner with gold eye shadow. Despite the bruises, Gavin thought he was the most beautiful man he'd ever seen in his life.

"I'm fine out here," Kai told him. "But thank you."

"Come home with me then," Gavin said. "You've been there before, I'll give you a bed."

"Why?"

Gavin crouched down to look him in the eye. "Because someone hurt you, sweetheart, and I don't want you to be alone out here."

Kai stared at him for a long moment before he accepted his hand. "All right."

"So, he went home with you?" Harry coaxed.

Gavin nodded. "He still wouldn't tell me anything, but after two days, he said that he had to go to work and promised to be out of my hair. I told him that there was no rush and offered to take him to the DMLE to report the assault, but he refused. Anyway, he stayed with me and went to work and promised to be back. When he returned… he was beat up again and said he had to go, that he'd just came for his bag."

"Kai, what happened? Who's hurting you?" Gavin demanded, jumping to his feet. When he reached out to touch him, Kai jolted back.

"I'm fine, Gavin."

Gavin reached out again, more cautiously this time. "You're not fine, Kai. Please, who's hurting you? Let me help."

"You can't help," Kai spat. "No one can help! I reported him to the Aurors and they did nothing! They told me I was lying!"

Harry frowned at those words and turned to look at Kai. "Kai, what do you mean that you already reported this to the Aurors and they did nothing?" Harry demanded, his eyes on the young man before him.

Kai's bottom lip trembled. "I went to… when I said Trent's name, the Auror I was speaking to went to get… when I finished my statement, he said I was a liar."

Harry's eyes darkened. "Excuse me?"

"It happened slowly," Kai began. "I don't have any family, Auror Potter. When I met Trent, he was… I thought he was magical. He was charming and kind and he brought me flowers and told me that I was beautiful and by the time I realized that he had manipulated me, I was curled up on the kitchen floor with bruises on my throat."

"How long?" Ginny whispered, her eyes wide.

"Almost a year," Kai whispered, not meeting her eyes. "At first I fought back. I scratched his face all to hell and even broke one of his fingers, but then he… I can't explain it, but I felt like… like I deserved to be hit. I was always doing stupid things that made him angry and I tried to be better, but it never seemed to be enough. Then one day he… I thought he was going to kill me. He had his hands around my throat and I blacked out. When I came to, he was gone and I… I went to the DMLE to report him, but when I said Trent's name… they went and got his father to take my statement."

"Who's father?"

"Trent's," Kai whispered. "He's an Auror and he's the one who said I was a liar; that his son would never do that. The second time… I worked late and forgot to tell him and when I came home, he was so angry… he slammed my head into the wall and broke my wrist. I called in sick to work and when I went back to the DMLE, Auror Stevens told me that I wasn't to be taken seriously and that I was clearly good at tall tales. No one would listen."

Harry swore under his breath. The idea that one of his Aurors had refused to help this young man who had clearly been hurting for longer than anyone should have to was completely unthinkable.

"Kai, I am so sorry that you were treated like that. I can promise you that it will not happen again. I will deal with Auror Stevens about this personally and we will make a formal charge against Trent. Do you have any idea where he would have went?"

Kai wrapped his arms around himself, tears in his eyes. "I don't know… maybe back to our flat."

"Do you have a safe place to go, Kai?"

"He can stay with me," Gavin said.

Harry watched as Gavin reached out to touch Kai's arm and to his surprise, Kai turned towards the big man and buried his face against his chest.

"It's going to be all right, sweetheart," Gavin said, his arms coming around him. "It's going to be all right now."

Kai stayed in his arms a moment longer before he excused himself to go to the loo. Gavin watched him go before he caught himself. Harry thought he'd never quite seen anyone look so smitten before as he watched him stare after him. He cleared his throat.

"Gavin, will you please get Kai to St Mungo's to be checked over. The more formal we record his injuries, the more evidence we'll have against Trent."

"I'm not sorry I punched him," Gavin said, his voice cold. "He had his hands wrapped around Kai's throat, Sir."

"You were defending him," Harry said. "I get that. Trent will be dealt with."

It wasn't only Trent who needed to be dealt with in Harry's opinion. It was completely unacceptable that one of his Aurors had taken a look at Kai's injuries and deemed them not a crime. That was something that Harry was absolutely not going to stand for.

Kai came out of the bathroom looking more like himself. His black eyeliner was refreshed and he had black and gold on his eyes and lashes. His lips were a dark red and he'd used some makeup trick to cover most of the bruises on his neck and cheek but the swelling was already starting on the one side of his face.

Gavin jumped to his feet when he saw him and Kai gave him a grateful smile.

"I'm all right, Gavin. Thank you."

"Kai, why don't you let Gavin take you to see a healer?" Harry suggested. "The more evidence we have against your ex-boyfriend the better. Then he can take you home so you can get some rest and we'll get this restraining and protection order taken care of against Trent."

"I should stay and work."

"I can handle it," Ginny assured him. "Go home and get some rest, sweetie."

"Come on," Gavin said, holding his hand out. "We'll get your things out of your flat."

"I don't have a place."

Gavin smiled. "Yes, you do. You're staying with me. As long as you need."

Harry watched Kai give Gavin a long look before he stood on his toes and gently pressed his lips against his.

"How did I get so lucky as to meet you, Gavin Goyle?"

Gavin's cheeks flushed. "You have that backwards, Kai." He took his hand in his and Kai smiled before he thanked Harry and Ginny and let Gavin lead him off.

Ginny slipped her arms around Harry's waist. "How did I miss all the signs?"

Harry looked down at his wife in surprise. "Gin, this isn't your fault."

"I know it's not my fault," Ginny replied. "I know that I'm not responsible, but Harry, I work with him every day! He's been with me for almost nine years and he's been dating Trent for well over one of those years and he's been abusing him almost the whole time and… I never liked him, but I never saw…"

"Just be there for him now," Harry said. "It seems like he's made a new friend in Gavin."

Ginny's lips twitched. "Gavin is completely smitten with him. The look on Kai's face when Gavin pulled Trent off of him… I think Kai might be feeling something there as well."

"Why was Gavin here?"

"He came to take Kai to lunch," Ginny said. "And after Trent took off, Gavin was enraged, I could see it, but when Kai touched his arm, he just completely softened and opened his arms. Kai ran right into them. I feel like Gavin would give that man anything he asked."

"I noticed that too," Harry said.

"I think he would be good for Kai," Ginny said. "I hope it maybe does turn into something."

Harry kissed her temple. "That's because you're a hopeless romantic, Ginny Potter. If Kai needs anything, you let me know. I have to get to the DMLE and deal with this."

"What about the Auror?"

Harry's eyes darkened. "Oh, don't worry. Auror Stevens is at the top of my list."

Harry kissed his wife goodbye and headed straight back to the Ministry. The first thing he did was send a Patronus to his son for him and his partner to meet him in his office. James was already waiting outside when he arrived with his partner, Cassidy Winchester.

"Good, you're both here," Harry said, gesturing for them to follow him.

"Is everything all right, Dad?" James asked.

"No," Harry said. "I have an arrest warrant out for one Trenton Stevens. I know the two of you are not MPU, but I need this done quickly and I don't want the MPU involved in it."

James frowned and exchanged a look with his partner. "What's going on?"

"There might be some difficulty in the MPU that I need to work on. Find Stevens and bring him in. Send word when you've arrested him."

"No problem, Sir," Cass said. "We'll find him."

When they left, Harry asked Anita to pull up the file on Thomas Stevens. He did a quick perusal before he decided that for something like this, he needed some serious advice. Ten minutes later he was knocking on the front door of a small townhouse in the port town of Goole.

Gawain Robards opened it with a scowl. "I'm retired. It's your problem now. Go away."

Harry snorted. "Thanks. I'm aware of that."

Robards stepped back to let him in and Harry followed him to the living room and took a seat. "So, what's the problem?"

"How do you know that I didn't just stop by for a cuppa?"

Robards rolled his eyes. "Because it's the middle of the bloody work day, Potter. What's going on?"

"Thomas Stevens."

Robards frowned. "Entitled prick, but good at his job. What's the problem?"

"From what I heard today, he's not proving to be very good at his job. His son, Trenton, has been physically abusing his boyfriend. I'm talking real assault including attempted strangulation. When the boyfriend went to the MPU to report him in fear, Stevens wrote it off and claimed that the boyfriend was lying."

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Robards roared. "I don't care if someone is telling me the sky isn't fucking blue, it's your bloody job to investigate it!"

"Wish I was kidding," Harry said.

Robards' hands balled into fists on his knees. "All right. I'll come with you."

"I don't need you to come along, Gawain," Harry said with a smile. "I just wanted your advice on how to approach it. I've sent Potter and Winchester to arrest the son now so he's going to hear about it."

Robards stood up. "Oh, he's definitely going to have something to say. I'm coming with you, Potter."

Harry knew better than to argue so he led Robards out with him and they headed straight to Harry's office in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Harry asked his assistant to send a memo to Stevens, demanding his presence in Harry's office and then he went to see Robards.

"Should be here soon. How do you think I should approach this?"

"Cautiously," Robards admitted. "He's going to come in denying everything."

Harry nodded. "I've already asked Lupin to work with the Head Auror of the MPU to find out who was working the two days in question and to find evidence of the report Kai filed."

Since Tonks was Head Auror Liaison, she was his go to person when it came to all departmental issues. He didn't know if the Head Auror of the Magical Patrol Unit was involved in this or not, but he needed to make sure.

Robards gave Harry a pleased look. "Always knew you were the right man for this job."

Harry couldn't help but give his old mentor a small smile at that just as Anita let him know that Auror Thomas Stevens was waiting to see him.

"Potter," Stevens said as he walked into Harry's office. "My son's just been arrested and I really need to be with him. Can this wait?"

"Sit down, Auror Stevens," Harry demanded.

Stevens' looked like he wanted to argue, but he slowly sank into the chair. "What is this about, Sir?"

"I think we both understand why you're here today," Harry began. "I asked Gawain here as a consultant."

Stevens looked between them. "I don't understand, Sir. My son's just been brought in and I want to be there for him. Surely this can wait?"

"I want to talk to you about Kai Tommasi."

Stevens sat up straighter. "That boy's a liar! He always has been. He covers his face in makeup like he thinks he's a witch and he's forced my son to do all sorts of things that he'd never do. Whatever he claims is false!"

"The marks around his neck don't look fake to me," Harry growled. "Or the broken ribs. Or the broken nose a good Samaritan gave to your son in his attempt to stop Trenton from strangling Kai to death right in the middle of Chasing the Quaffle."

"It's a lie," Stevens said through gritted teeth. "He provoked him."

"I don't care if he provoked him," Harry said, his voice calm. "The fact of the matter is that your son assaulted another soul and when that man came to you for help, you refused. According to these reports that Kai filed and you signed, there is zero legwork done. Did you even bother to investigate his claim or did you just know it was against your son and refuse to do anything on it? You didn't even write Trent's name down as a possible suspect. You're a disgrace to the office of Auror. You're hereby suspended for two weeks without pay while we investigate these allegations and if they prove to be true, as I do believe they will be, you will lose your badge."

"That's bollocks!" Stevens exclaimed, standing up. "That boy's a bloody liar and I won't be made a fool of because you think I didn't do my job. I did my bloody job and my son's innocent! That makeup wearing freak is nothing but a —"

"— Finish that sentence, Auror Stevens, and you will regret it," Harry interrupted, his eyes dark. "We do not accept that kind of language in this building and frankly, your clear homophobia makes me pity your son, who evidently learned his hatred from you."

"I'm not homophobic!" Stevens bellowed. "My son is gay, but he doesn't prance around with his face painted up like some two-bit harlot!"

"You are out of line, Auror Stevens," Harry declared, waving two security wizards into the room. "Put your badge on my desk and hand your wand over to security. Security will help you out of the building before returning it to you."

Stevens' face was purple with rage as he glared at Harry. "Some consultant. Robards would never have done this if he was in charge."

"You're right," Robards said, his voice gruff. "I would have had you arrested on the spot. You don't deserve your badge, Auror Stevens. Potter's much more lenient than I am."

Stevens' glared at both of them before he slammed his badge on Harry's desk and threw his wand at the security guard. "Fuck you, Potter!"

When security tried to guide him out, he ripped his arm away.

"I'm bloody going!"

The door to Harry's office slammed shut behind him and Harry let out a long breath.

"Well, that went pretty much as I expected."

"What a complete arsehole," Robards said, sitting down in the guest chair. "You handled that well."

"Yeah, well I wanted to hit him in his pompous face," Harry admitted, sinking down into his own chair. "Kai works for my wife at the magazine and the look on his face when he told me he tried to report it before… I won't stand for that. This department is about serving and protecting, not harbouring criminals."

Robards smiled. "Always knew you were the man for the job, Harry. You didn't even need me."

"You wanted to come. I just wanted advice."

Robards waved him off. "Turns out retirement is boring."

Harry chuckled just as Ron came into his office.

"Harry, what's this I hear about Stevens being suspended? Hi, Gawain."

Harry sighed. "Sit down, Ron. We have a hell of a situation on our hands…"

It took them a few hours to call forth the Head Auror of the Magical Patrol Unit and talk about Stevens. Then it took a few days to interview every Auror from the Magical Patrol Unit to get the story right. Auror Stevens was suspended without pay while the investigation was ongoing and when it became clear that his actions had in fact further injured Kai, it was deemed that termination was the best choice of action.

Trenton Stevens was formally charged with assault and sent to Azkaban until someone could pay his bail until the trial and Harry was exhausted when he finally returned home. He told Ginny the outcome and she breathed a sigh of relief, wrapping her arms around him.

"Thank goodness! I talked to Kai this afternoon and he's doing all right. Gavin seems to be taking good care of him."

"Gavin is completely smitten with Kai."

Ginny smiled. "Oh, I noticed that. I think Kai is a bit smitten right back, but he's nervous and afraid to date again and I can't say I blame him. I hope he gives Gavin a chance."

"Me too," Harry admitted. "The Goyle boys are good men."

Ginny kissed his cheek. "So are you, Harry Potter. Now come on, we still have some last minute things to put together for our daughter's wedding."

Harry groaned. "No. I'm all wedding-ed out."

Ginny laughed. "Too bad. Move that spectacular arse, Potter."

She slapped it when he walked in front of her and he yelped. "You'll pay for that later."

Ginny gave him a cheeky grin. "I can't wait."

When the day of Lily's wedding finally arrived in mid August, Harry was doing everything he could to keep it together. He'd never considered himself to be an overly emotional man, but since he'd had kids, he felt it more and more. Lily was not only his first little girl, but his first child to get married and he wasn't prepared for it. When Lily stepped out of the master bedroom at Clevedon Court in a beautiful strapless wedding gown, tears filled his eyes.

"Daddy," Lily said, her own eyes glistening. "You can't cry or you'll make cry!"

"I'll do my best," Harry told her before he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You look breathtaking, Lily. The most beautiful bride I've seen since your mother."

Lily's smile widened, her brown eyes so like her mother's were full of excitement. "Oakley's the one, Dad."

"I know," Harry said, kissing her forehead again.

Luna appeared on his right to kiss Lily's cheek and to tuck some kind of gorgeous lily behind her ear. "This is from your Uncle Neville. He said it's for luck and this is from me."

Lily's eyes were bright as she accepted the beautiful bracelet in rose gold. "Auntie Luna, it's beautiful! Thank you!"

Luna smiled. "Us godparents have to show our love somewhere. Now, go out there and marry your man. Uncle Rolf and I will be watching with smiles."

"Tell Uncle Neville I love the flower."

"I will, dear," Luna said.

She turned and squeezed Harry's arm. "You'll be all right too, Harry."

Harry watched her go and thought not for the first time that choosing Luna and Neville as godparents to Lily had been a very wise decision. Lily had decided she wanted to marry Oakley at Hogwarts. She claimed it was where they met and where it made the most sense. Remus had agreed to it and now as Harry stood on the familiar grounds, about to walk his daughter out onto the very Quidditch pitch where he'd shared his first real kiss with his own wife, he felt like time had a way of surprising him.

He held his daughter's arm in his as he waited for the music to change and as he began the walk down the red carpet aisle they'd installed on the pitch, tears welled up in his eyes. He was halfway when he realized they'd completely blinded his vision and Lily squeezed his wrist.

"Daddy, don't cry."

Harry gave her a tearful smile when they reached Oakley, turning her towards him to kiss her cheek. He could barely see her through his teary eyes as he spoke. "I am so proud of you, Lily. I love you so much and these tears are happy ones, I promise."

Lily threw her arms around her father's neck and held on tight for a long moment. "I love you, Daddy."

Harry squeezed her a moment longer before he moved to sit beside his wife, tears rolling down his cheeks and when the minister pronounced them husband and wife, Bill handed Harry a handkerchief.

"Use that, Harry."

"Thanks, Bill," Harry said as he cried.

Ginny rested her had on Harry's shoulder with her own teary smile. "Our baby's married, Harry."

"Yeah," Harry whispered through his tears. "And look how bloody happy she is."

The sight of his daughter beaming in love and happiness at her new husband was exactly what he wanted to see. He blew his nose into the handkerchief again and James snorted from next to him.

"Dad, you're not going to blubber like this at my wedding next summer, are you?"

"I wouldn't hold my breath, Jamie," Albus teased.

Harry only smiled at his grown children before he grabbed the back of Henry's shirt when he attempted to escape. "Sit."

"Ah, man," Henry pouted, crossing his arms. "For how much longer, Dad?"

"Until the wedding party leaves," Harry said.

Hunter attempted to duck under the chair and Fred grabbed him behind.

"And where do you think you're going, godson of mine?"

Hunter groaned. "It's a conspiracy!"

Harry chuckled. "You boys can sit still for five more minutes."

"Bollocks," Henry grunted.

George chuckled from behind them. "Ah, the Potter kids… never a dull moment."

Harry grinned and thought nothing could be more true than that.

Lily and Oakley were the first to make Harry and Ginny grandparents two years later. They had identical twin boys on Harry's birthday in 2030, sharing a birthday with their grandfather and their uncles Henry and Hunter. Nash Oliver Wood and Noah Harry Wood were very much the apple of their grandfather's eye. Lily asked Henry and Hunter to be godfathers to Nash and Noah and the boys, who were ten, had stared at her in shock.

"Us, really?" Henry asked.

"Are you sure?" Hunter asked.

"Positive," Lily said. "Who better to choose then the uncles they share a birthday with?"

Henry and Hunter grinned identical grins and Oakley laughed.

"I think I regret agreeing to this."

Lily smiled and kissed her husband. "Trust me, it's a good choice."

In May of 2033, they had a daughter whom they named Magnolia Katherine, but decided to call Lia. Then on Ginny's birthday in August of 2035, they had identical twin girls whom they named Zinnia Ginevra and Zahira Sorcha and affectionately nicknamed Zin and Zee.

Zee cried buckets when Lily told her their names and Harry held them in awe. When the girls were six months old, Lily told her parents that she was going to be a surrogate for Albus and Scorpius and Harry blinked back tears.

"Lily…"

Lily shrugged. "I loved being pregnant and Oak and I are done having kids so I want to do this for Alby and Scorp."

"Sister of the year award," Ella said, lifting an eyebrow.

James snorted. "I always said she loved Albus best."

"He's nicer than you," Lily said.

"Not true!" James protested.

"He's nicer to Lily," Everett said.

James glared at his brother. "Ev, you're supposed to be on my side!'

Genevieve smiled as she cuddled little Emerson in her arms. "I think it's lovely, Lily. The best gift you could give. If for some reason it doesn't take, I'll offer the same."

Ella rolled her eyes. "Way to make me feel guilty. Ugh, fine, I'll offer too."

Albus chuckled. "With that enthusiasm, Ella, it's no wonder we didn't ask you first."

Ella made a rude hand gesture that made him grin and Harry thought it was still true, there really never was a dull moment.

And he wouldn't change any of it for the world.

~ Final Epilogue ~

March 2031…

Genevieve Potter's favourite thing in the world to do was to cook. She loved being in the kitchen. She loved creating new recipes and working on old ones and she loved sharing her food with others. She'd learned from the best, cooking with her father in the kitchen ever since she'd been young and then cooking alongside of her grandmother after that.

Zeema was the most incredible cook and Genevieve had decided early on that she wanted to be just like her. She worked in a few restaurants over the last year since she finished Hogwarts and contemplated going to culinary school, but she'd quickly learned that wasn't what she wanted. She didn't want to study to make outlandish dishes with over the top ingredients, no, she wanted to make what she loved and two months ago had decided that she wanted to create her own catering business. So the first thing she'd done was gone to talk to her Aunt Hannah.

Hannah Longbottom was the proud owner of Serendipity Sweets and Blooms and was an incredible baker. While Genevieve could definitely bake some incredible desserts, she'd never quite mastered her godmother's artistry in the kitchen. But it did make her want to be a caterer and it was how she came to open her own catering business called Tuck In Catering.

She'd only had three events so far. The first had been a catered office lunch for the entire Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which she wasn't entirely sure counted since her father was Head Auror and had been the one to pay for everything. But that had gotten her two more jobs: One for a family reunion and another for an anniversary party. She loved coming up with themed ideas and working a whole meal around what people liked and disliked. She loved just taking care of people and giving them the chance to fall in love with her food. Seeing people enjoy what they were eating gave her the perfect comfort. As of now, she was handling everything from the kitchen of Clevedon Court, but one day she was going to have her own kitchen where she could prepare everything and have it all organized.

It was exactly what she needed.

Getting to be the official caterer for her cousin Domonique's wedding next month, was even more exciting. Then she was going to cater her brother Albus' wedding two months after that. She couldn't wait to show people how great her food was going to be, even if Mr Malfoy still wasn't sold on the idea of Albus' 'little sister' being in charge of the food. He was a snob and she was looking forward to showing him up. But first, it was all about Domonique and her fiancé, Roland Lestrange.

It was why when she arrived for a meet and greet to discuss menu plans and allergies, she didn't expect to hear her Auntie Fleur tell her that they hired someone else to assist with desserts.

"Ah, Evie!" Fleur exclaimed at the sight of her. "Welcome! I was just telling Domonique about how you'll be handling ze dinner, but we'll be having someone else handle ze dessert plans."

"Dessert plans?" Genevieve asked. "I thought you were having Serendipity Sweets and Blooms make the cake?"

Fleur nodded. "Oui, of course, we are! Hannah will be handling ze cake, you ze food, and my sister Gabrielle recommended ze most incredible chocolatier for the rest of ze desserts."

"A chocolatier?" Genevieve asked in surprise, turning to look at her cousin. "You're having a chocolatier?"

Domonique rolled her eyes. "Don't ask. I stopped fighting this battle months ago."

"Auntie Fleur, what is this chocolatier going to make?" Genevieve asked.

"Edible art," a voice said from behind her.

When she spun around, she thought the man walking towards her looked nothing like how she imagined a chocolatier was supposed to look. He was young, only a few years older than her. He had light blondish brown hair pulled up into a messy bun on the top of his head and a full, neatly trimmed beard. His eyes looked hazel and he gave her a quick look before turning his attention to Fleur.

"Just say the word and I will create it."

Genevieve scoffed. "Just like that? Doesn't it take days, if not weeks. to create the perfect edible art made from chocolate?"

"Yes and that's why I'm here to discuss the menu," he said, giving her a cool look before dismissing her.

"Evie, darling, this is Christian Lyon. He's the son of a friend of my brother-in-law's. Christian, this is my niece and the wedding caterer, Evie Potter."

"Charmed," Christian said before turning back to Fleur.

Genevieve was fuming by the time the meeting was done. Apparently all of the food was to be created on site at the wedding venue, which wasn't a problem at all as Genevieve had expected as such, but she hadn't expected to have to share her kitchen. Not only had the chocolatier more or less ignored her the entire time, but he then demanded she inform him what hours she planned to be in the kitchen because he needed to make sure she didn't disturb his creations. She gave her cousin a look and Domonique winced once they were alone.

"Evie, I'm so sorry! Maman hired him without telling me and the look on Roland's face when he found out that we were having a chocolatier… Evie, he's never had anyone do anything special like this for him. He's been an orphan his whole life since his parents are in Azkaban and having a chocolatier design a special dessert just for him… he deserves this!"

Genevieve sighed. She knew how sweet Roland was and she knew that getting to be part of the Weasley/Potter family had really been eye-opening for him. Domonique had told her that his parents often wrote him letters, but he never responded. His mother had gone mad years ago in prison and his father had been killed in the Battle of Hogwarts. Having this special day with the woman he loved and the family who was gaining, it made sense.

"Fine. You're right, he does deserve that, but it doesn't mean that I have to like it. I don't mind sharing my kitchen, but he was acting like I was going to defile his work or something."

Domonique shrugged. "I don't know him. I guess he was in Ravenclaw with me, but he was a first year when I was a seventh. I've seen and tasted his work though and he's a genius."

"That probably makes it worse," Genevieve claimed. "All right. I'll handle it. Now, let's just go over the menu one more time and make sure you and Roland are good with it."

Domonique nodded, tossing her strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder. "All right, let's hear it."

"So for the cocktail hour, I'm going to prepare some appetizers that people can take from the waiters to tide them over. I have Caprese Skewers which will be mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, and balsamic on a skewer along with bruschetta bites and crab cake bites. Then once we sit down to dinner, there will be Greek salad served once we sit down."

"Perfect," Domonique said. "I love Greek salad. I know it's not everyone's first choice, but thanks for letting me have this, Evie."

"Of course," Genevieve said. "It's your wedding, Dom. You can have whatever you want. So, as you know for the main course we have salmon with lemon served with ricotta dumplings with asparagus with green garlic. For those who don't want fish, we have chicken breast with lemon and herbs or a grilled eggplant with lemon and herbs and served with tomato and mozzarella."

"It all sounds delicious," Domonique said. "Roland and I will be more than happy to taste test everything as often as possible."

Genevieve chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind."

She visited with her cousin a bit longer before Teddy and Victoire showed up with their three children. She played with the kids for a bit, smiling at Liam, who was nine now. Charlotte was seven and talking her Auntie Dom's ear off as Kingston, who would be turning four two days after the wedding, was all smiles as Roland got down on the floor to play with him.

She made it home and had dinner with her parents and brothers. James and Hadley had moved into the Potter Manor in Brighton that according to her parents had once belonged to their great-great-uncle. Albus and Scorpius were living in Wiltshire in Malfoy manor. Lily and Oakley were living in a two-story cottage in Devon near where Oakley coached the Chudley Cannons. Ella had moved out and was living with her best friend Maddie Zabini which left Genevieve home with Everett, Henry, and Hunter. The twins would be starting their first year at Hogwarts in September and Genevieve rather thought her parents might be counting down the days.

"Hi, baby girl," Harry said, pulling her close when she came into the house and kissing her temple. "How did the menu planning go?"

"Really good," Genevieve said. "Auntie Fleur hired a chocolatier to help create some elaborate dessert. We'll be sharing a kitchen at the venue and I don't know how keen he is on that."

"Ah, well, I'm sure you two will work it all out," Harry assured her.

Everett nudged her shoulder when she went into the kitchen to sit down. "So, has Dom gone bridezilla yet?"

"No," Genevieve said. "But Auntie Fleur might be headed that way."

Ginny chuckled. "Now, Evie, let's not say that. Auntie Fleur's merely excited for her second daughter to get married."

Genevieve smiled as Henry and Hunter talked over each other through most of dinner and then she helped her dad clean up while her mum went to work on something for her magazine. She went over the menu again with Harry who assured her it was all going to be wonderful and she went to bed, feeling a bit better about everything.

Until she arrived at the place she was supposed to cook in and came face to face with Christian again. He was piecing together a book made entirely from chocolate and her eyes widened at the sight of it. The detail was truly exquisite down to the pages, to the break in the spine. When she moved closer, she realized it was the first book her cousin had ever written, The Grumpy Author.

"That's incredible," Genevieve said, making him look up.

"Thank you." He finished his task and wiped his hands on a towel hanging from his belt. "I'm able to do most of my work from my own kitchen, but transporting is often difficult."

"Understood."

"I'll use this side of the kitchen as there's bigger counter space which I need for the pieces as you can see. If you need to spread anything out more, we'll work out an arrangement."

"All right," Genevieve said, bringing her bag over to the other side of the kitchen.

"That's it?"

"Pardon?"

Christian's brow furrowed. "That's it. You just accept whatever I say like a meek little wall flower? How disappointing."

Genevieve bit back her angry retort, refusing to rise to his bait. She was not a meek little wallflower, but she also had no desire to get into a useless confrontation with this man. Instead, she tied her own dark brown hair back into a low plait at her neck and decided to get to work.

She did her best to ignore the man working behind her as much as she could which wasn't easy. Not only was he very attractive, but his presence was very distracting in a way that she had trouble ignoring. She could feel him near her; smell whiffs of his cologne under the chocolate and she hated the stir it sent to her stomach.

The man might be good at his job, but it was clear from his attitude that he was the last person she should be attracted to. Attraction in a situation like this was nothing more than a distraction and that was not something she was prepared to let happen. She hummed under her breath, trying to keep her focus on her own so when she turned around and found the chocolatier directly behind her, she'd been so in her own head that the sight of him startled her and she shrieked.

"Holy Helga! What are you doing?"

Christian's smile was slow. Genevieve thought it was slow enough that she could watch every creak in his face as his mouth turned upwards. The fact that the tip of his tongue dipped out to touch his lip and it made her stomach flutter was definitely not what she needed to be thinking about.

"Ah, so you can be ruffled then. Good to know."

Genevieve narrowed her eyes. If she made it through the next two weeks without drowning him in a vat of chocolate she was going to reward herself with a new mixer. "I am here to work, Mr Lyon."

"Me too, Princess. Doesn't mean I can't admire the view."

Genevieve sent him a glare before she spun around to work on her project. She hated the snark in his voice and she hated it even more because it somehow made him even more attractive. She turned on the wireless she brought with her, blaring Taylor Swift to tune him out. She was silently fuming while she worked chopping up vegetables, measuring ingredients. She refused to turn around or even look at him and she jumped when a perfect chocolate rose appeared in front of her. She spun around to look at him, her blue eyes narrowing.

"What do you want?"

"To give you a chocolate rose."

"You can't just flirt with me and suddenly make me like you."

"I can't?" he asked, taking a step towards her and making her back up. Her move only made his smile widen in a way that made her belly flop in a not entirely uncomfortable fashion. "Interesting…"

"It's not interesting," Genevieve shot back. "Stay over there and leave me alone."

"Evie doesn't suit you."

"Excuse me?"

"Evie," Christian said as if they were having a pleasant conversation. "It doesn't suit you. It's too simple for a princess."

"I'm not a princess," Genevieve said with a scowl. "And my name is Genevieve, but everyone just calls me Evie."

"Genevieve," he said, the sound of her name on his lips sounding better than it had any right to. "Now that suits you."

"Go away."

Christian leaned in closer, holding the chocolate rose between them with a soft smile. He was close enough that she could see that his eyes weren't hazel at all, but instead a light green. His tongue slipped out to touch his bottom lip and when her eyes followed it, his lips twitched.

"I'll trade you a chocolate rose for a kiss, Genevieve."

"No," she said, turning back around and ignoring her racing heart.

The fact that she very much did want to lean in and kiss that smart mouth of his was a problem. She wanted to to pull his hair out of that messy bun and tug him close and kiss him brainless. And that would be a very bad idea, she told herself.

"One kiss?" he asked.

"No," she repeated, intentionally keeping her back to him so that he couldn't see the flame of desire in her eyes.

Christian carefully placed the rose on the counter next to her. "Can't blame a bloke for trying, Ice Queen."

"I'm not an Ice Queen!"

He only winked and said he'd see her tomorrow.

The next week was absolutely torture.

Not only did Christian insist on calling her Ice Queen, but he kept hovering, asking intelligent questions about her cooking, trying her food and raving about it, offering her bits of his own creations (which were bloody delicious) and giving her teasing smiles. Every day, he left before her and offered her a chocolate rose in exchange for a kiss.

"I'm not kissing you, Lyon! You're wasting your breath."

Christian only gave her that gorgeous soft smile. "I don't mind."

By the end of the week, she was incredibly frustrated and annoyed. He made her laugh and he was bloody good at his craft. She watched him use his wand to melt chocolate, stir and whisk it as needed. When he rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt and held the large bowl close to his chest as he stirred, she watched the muscles strain in his arms in a way that made her wish she could paint him in chocolate.

When he focused, he bent over the counter, his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth, a loose hair hanging out of his bun, and his green eyes intent on his goal. He used both knives and his wand to whittle the most exquisite creations out of chocolate and when something wasn't right, he melted it down and started again, swearing loudly.

Genevieve found him fascinating. At the end of each day he would clean up for the day and offer her a single long stem chocolate rose in exchange for a kiss and her annoyance set in.

"No exchange," she said.

Christian winked. "We'll see about tomorrow then, Ice Queen."

She growled when he called her Ice Queen and hated that she stared at his arse in those black trousers as he walked away. So after over a week of working with him and dealing with him on a daily basis, when Christian offered her a rose once more, she told him that she wasn't going to kiss him.

Christian's lips curved. "Ah, Ice Queen, I didn't offer to kiss you today," he taunted, making her cheeks flush red. "But that means you've been thinking about it."

"I haven't!" Genevieve insisted.

Christian placed the chocolate rose on the counter next to her with a soft smile. "Oh, but I definitely have been, Genevieve."

She grabbed the rose off of the counter and threw it at his chest. "Stop calling me Ice Queen and stop giving me chocolate roses! I've been tolerant enough, but this isn't cute, it's… it's… annoying!"

Christian took a step back in surprise. "Well, I certainly don't want to annoy you. I'm sorry, I thought maybe there was something here. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I apologize, Genevieve. I promise to be nothing but professional from here on out. Have a good night."

Genevieve's mouth opened in surprise as he spun on his heel to leave. He'd been genuinely apologetic and she'd… no, she thought, and the next thing she knew she was chasing him out and grabbing his arm. "Christian, wait!"

He looked down at where her hand was on his arm and she quickly let go, her cheeks heating.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean… I'm not good at this."

"At what?" Christian asked.

"This. Whatever this is that you're… that we're…"

"Flirting," he teased, his lips twitching.

"Yes, that," she whispered.

Christian's fingers gently touched her chin, tilting her face up to meet his gaze. "I think you're better at it than you think you are. Genevieve, may I please kiss you?"

"Yes," she whispered.

He smiled and leaned in to gently press his lips to hers and Genevieve wasn't sure what it was, but the moment he kissed her, she wanted more. The buildup over the last week, his bloody cologne tickling her senses with hints of chocolate, and those impossibly soft lips sliding against hers… it was delightfully sinful and she didn't want it to stop. He kept the kiss gentle and soft and when he slowly pulled away, she grabbed his shoulders and covered his mouth with hers again.

They somehow moved and crashed back into the door of the icebox, something clanged and fell on the floor and Genevieve's hands slid into Christian's hair, pulling it free as her hands tangled in his luscious locks like she'd been imagining for weeks. She held onto it just tight enough to keep him in place while Christian's mouth kept attacking hers with long deep kisses that left her breathless; their tongues meeting again and again until his hands clutched her arse and she let out a small squeak and pulled back.

"Sorry, sorry," he said, holding his hands up. HIs mouth was swollen from hers and his light green eyes were twinkling at her. "I take it all back, Genevieve Potter. You are most definitely not an Ice Queen."

"We… we can't do this," Genevieve said, backing up slowly. "It's… we can't do this."

"Why not?" Christian asked, following her.

When her back hit the counter, he merely grabbed her hips and lifted her up onto it, bringing her mouth close to his.

"Because it's… it's…"

"Delicious," Christian said, nipping at her mouth.

"Yes, I mean, no," Genevieve said, her hands in his hair again. "It's not… professional. We're… we're working together."

"Alongside of," Christian corrected. "And only for another week."

"Yes, but —"

"—I can wait one more week," he said, nipping at her mouth. "The wedding is next Saturday. Sunday, we're going on a date."

"We are?"

"We are," Christian said, running his thumb down her cheek. "And Genevieve… I can't wait."

He stole one more quick kiss before he sauntered out of the kitchen and left her sitting on the counter still not entirely sure what had just happened.

Christian was true to his word. They talked and chatted over the next week, him asking question after question about her likes and dislikes. They sang along to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran while they worked and at the end of every day, he would kiss the top of her hand and give her a countdown until their date.

It was driving her absolutely mad.

Now that she'd kissed him, now that she knew what those lips felt like on hers, staying away from him was even worse than it had been before. Her eyes followed his hands as he molded chocolate desserts into art. She caught herself staring at his arse more than once and one afternoon, when he tasted a bit of his chocolate, the sound he made caused her to soak her knickers. When his gaze met hers, she was almost positive he'd know exactly what he was doing to her.

It was why after four days, when he asked to borrow a bowl, she spun around and fisted her hand in his shirt, yanking him towards her. His eyes widened in surprise.

"Don't say a word," Genevieve said. "Just kiss me."

He did.

And it was a hundred times better than she remembered. It was better than the naughty dreams she'd been having since they first kissed and it was better than she'd hoped for as he pinned her against the counter, hands sliding up her sides and under her shirt as she ripped at the buttons of his.

"Bloody hell, Genevieve," Christian mumbled against her lips. "My Ice Queen's got some fire."

"Not an ice queen," she spat as she tugged him down to the floor.

He laughed as she straddled him, pulling off her apron and tossing it behind him. "Genevieve…"

Then he rolled her and the next thing she knew, she was lying on the kitchen floor with his body covering hers as he kissed her senseless. His shirt was open, her hands on his naked chest and he had his hand up her shirt, fondling her through her bra as their mouths met over and over. She was grinding against him, shocked at how wanton she felt, wanting her hands all over him. She was wet and wanting and she let her hand slide low enough to cup him through his trousers and he hissed.

"Bloody hell, if you do that, I'm going to embarrass both of us."

She chuckled and then gasped when he pinned her arms above her head and covered her mouth with his again. She rose up to meet him with a soft moan and he rubbed himself against her just as her mother walked into the kitchen.

"Evie, I thought I'd stop by and see if you — oh! Erm, hello."

"Mum!" Genevieve exclaimed, pushing at Christian to get up as she scrambled to her feet and attempted to fix her shirt. "Erm, what are you doing here?"

Ginny gave her daughter a knowing smile. "Oh, I just popped in to see if you needed any help, but I see you're being well taken care of."

Genevieve flushed pink. "Erm, Mum, this is Christian Lyon, the chocolatier. Christian, this is my mum, Ginny Potter."

"It's nice to meet you, Mrs Potter," Christian said, extending his hand.

Ginny shook it with a smile. "It's nice to meet you too. The last I heard you two weren't exactly getting along."

"Well, we are now," Genevieve said. "Anyway, Mum, I have everything under control here. You don't have to worry."

Ginny chuckled. "Yes, you definitely seem to have things under control. I'll see you at home, darling."

When Ginny left, Genevieve spun around to look at Christian with wide eyes. "Oh my gods!"

He chuckled and reached for her hand. "It could have been worse, I suppose. We could have been starkers."

"Not helping," she insisted. "Your hand was up my shirt and we were…"

"Almost dry humping on the floor," Christian supplied.

Genevieve blushed scarlet. "I'll never be able to look my mum in the eye again!"

Christian smiled. "I'm sure she's seen worse."

"Done worse," Genevieve admitted. "Her and my dad are the worst. Just the other day I came home early and found them shagging in the living room."

Christian winced. "If it makes you feel better, I once walked in on my parents having a threesome with some bloke I've never seen before. Trust me, the day you see your father blowing another man while he shags your mother is the day you need your eyes bleached."

She snorted. "Oh, Merlin! That might be worse than the time my brother Everett and I came home and caught our parents doing it bent over the dining room table."

"See… a little dry humping in front of your mother doesn't seem so bad now, does it?" Christian teased.

Genevieve smiled and leaned in to kiss him. "Maybe not."

Christian tugged her back up against him for a long kiss. "What do you say we go on that date tonight?"

"Yes," she replied, making him grin. "Let's go out tonight."

He surprised her by bringing her to the Maltby Street Market. They walked hand-in-hand trying all the different foods as they chatted and laughed and when he kissed her goodnight and promised to see her at the wedding tomorrow, she felt like she was walking on air.

The wedding went off without a hitch in the food department. Genevieve spent the day getting all of the food organized and then finally was able to relax enough to get on the dance floor. She danced with her father first, then with Everett before dancing with her godfather, Uncle Bill.

"The food was amazing, Evie," Bill assured her. "You did an incredible job. You should be very proud of yourself."

"Thank you, Uncle Bill."

When Christian presented his edible art that was a writer's desk with all of Domonique's published novels spread out around an exact replica of the home they'd just purchased in Leeds which represented Roland's career as a real estate agent at Bewitching Home Brokers. Everyone oohed and awed in appreciation and at the end of the night, Christian's eyes found hers and Genevieve knew she was going home with him.

Her cousin Lucy asked her to cater her wedding to Luca Rossi next year as they both decided they definitely couldn't cook the food for their own wedding. Her cousin Fox was marrying Ocean Lofthouse next year and they also wanted her for their wedding along with her cousin Roxie who was marrying James' partner from work, Cass Winchester. It might all be family events, but the year 2032 was looking to be filled with events and Genevieve was thrilled to get started.

She went home with Christian after the wedding. They only snogged, not taking it further as they made out on the sofa in his flat until they fell asleep. In the morning, they made breakfast together and went to another food market. He complimented her on her simple catering company name of "Tuck In Catering" and she teased him over his rather pretentious choice of "The Chocolatier Shoppe." They kissed some more and she couldn't stop smiling.

The weeks turned into months and soon she was catering her brother's wedding with Christian helping with a chocolate surprise and when the wedding was over, she finally let him take her to bed. She'd only let one other man have her this way and he'd broken her heart a week later. She told Christian afterwards when they laid in bed and he kissed her forehead and promised not to do the same. By September, they were practically living together and when he asked her to move in with him, she said yes.

She found a building in Diagon Alley to run her catering business from; it was right next to Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. The Chocolatier Shoppe was across the street. Christian proposed with a perfect diamond ring made of chocolate on Christmas Eve and she cried when she said yes. He slid the chocolate ring onto her finger with a laugh and then pulled a real diamond from his pocket.

"Make a family with me, Genevieve," he whispered. "I want a million kids with you."

Genevieve laughed. "A million and one."

"Deal," Christian said and sealed it with a kiss.

They married in 2033 and in October of 2035, they had their first and only son whom they named Leif Christian Lyon. Three years later, a daughter whom they named Autumn Ella, then another daughter three years after that named Winter Willow. Summer Lily came two years later and lastly in March of 2047, a final daughter whom they named Spring Rose.

While they didn't have a million and one kids, they did live happily ever after…

June 2031…

Albus Potter stood in front of the mirror, attempting to flatten his messy hair to no avail. He was marrying his best friend today; the man he'd fancied for years with no real belief that he would ever get a chance with. He ran his fingers through his hair again just as Ginny came up behind him. She rested her cheek against his arm.

"Godric, you look so handsome."

"You have to say that, Mum."

Ginny smiled. "But it's still true. Look at my handsome boy, getting married. I'm going to cry."

"Just promise you won't blubber as much as Dad did when Lily and Jamie got married?"

Ginny chuckled. "Well, that I can definitely promise, but I can't promise your father won't."

Albus grinned and then tilted his head down. "Fix my hair, Mum. It's a disaster."

"That's because it's your father's hair," Ginny said, reaching for some gel before she began to work her fingers through it. "But we'll make it presentable."

She did something to it and when he looked back in the mirror, his hair was much better looking while still looking slightly messy. He liked it.

He and Scorpius had decided to walk down the aisle together and he couldn't wait to see him. He was wearing black trousers with a white jacket and black tie, while Scorpius was in white trousers with a black jacket and white tie. It was perfect for them.

They walked up the aisle together to the wedding song they'd chosen together, an instrumental version of Everything by Michael Bublé. He smiled up at Lily who was his Best Witch and at Scorpius' Best Man who was his father, Draco, and thought everything they'd been through had come down to this.

He saw his father crying from the corner of his eye and his mum dabbing at her own tears as his Uncle Theo blubbered too and the feel of their happiness for them made this moment even more special.

When he kissed him, Scorpius' blue eyes beamed in happiness. The rest was a blur. From the food to the dancing. It wasn't until they finally snuck away up to the master bedroom of Wiltshire Manor, in the home they'd created together, that he pulled Scorpius close and kissed him tenderly.

"I love you so much, Scorp. This is one of the happiest days of my life."

Scorpius ran his fingers through Albus' hair as he kissed him right back. "Mine too. I love you, Alby."

Then their lips met again and Albus thought everything was exactly right.

When their daughter arrived six years later and Albus held little Lyra Astoria for the first time with tears in his eyes, he finally understood why his dad had been so emotional at all of their weddings. He would do anything for this little girl in a heartbeat. Celeste Ginevra came two years later and finally in 2044, they had a son whom named they Archer Kai and Albus felt as if their little family was complete.

Scorpius kissed him as Albus held Archer with his girls on either side of him and they all lived happily ever…

~ Final Epilogue ~

December 2033…

Harry was sitting on the sofa in the grand hall of Clevedon Court, his arm draped around his wife's shoulders as he watched his kids and grandkids come in and sit around the room. As usual, Ginny had filled the large room with extra sofas, armchairs, and love seats and the huge Christmas tree that sat in the corner was lit up with beautiful lights and decorations.

Looking around at it only reminded Harry of how every year, they had added their own ornament to celebrate something of worth for that year. This year they added two ornaments to the tree. The first one was the announcement of their granddaughter Magnolia Katherine's first Christmas. Lia, as she was called for short, was already the apple of Harry's eye and he was anxious for Lily and Oakley to get here so he could see his seven-month-old-grandbaby. The second ornament was a dancing photo from his daughter Genevieve's wedding to Christian in May. It made Harry smile to see how much his family was continuing to grow.

His face lit up when he heard Everett's laugh and he turned his head in time for his son to lean over the back of the sofa to give him a hug.

"Hi, Dad, hey, Mum," Everett said, kissing Ginny's cheek.

"Hi, darling," Ginny said with a smile.

"Hi, Daddy, hi, Mum," Ella said, leaning over the back of the sofa to do the same. "I come bearing gifts."

"You can put them under the tree," Harry said.

Ella chuckled. "I don't think he'll fit."

Harry turned at those words and his eyes widened when he saw the good looking young man standing before him with his light brown beard and brown hair, a crooked smile on his face.

"Spencer?"

"Happy Christmas," Spencer said.

Ella smiled and slid her arm around Spencer's waist. "Mum, Dad, Spence and I are dating."

Ginny's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh! Spencer, welcome!"

She jumped up to hug him and Harry narrowed his eyes slightly. He liked Spencer of course, but after just looking at the ornament that reminded him of how his little Evie had just gotten married this year, he wasn't so sure he was ready to see his last daughter be in a serious relationship.

"How long has this been going on?" Harry asked, looking between Spencer and Ella.

"A few months," Spencer said.

Ella stood on her toes and pecked his cheek. "Almost seven months, actually."

Harry's mouth dropped open. "Seven months!"

Everett popped a cracker and cheese in his mouth. "They were being sneaky."

"You know that wasn't it, Ev," Ella said, rolling her eyes. "We just wanted to see if it was something more before we said anything. I mean, my mum and your da are best friends after all."

Ginny's eyes softened. "I can understand that. Do Theo and Sebastian know yet?"

Spencer shook his head. "No, we decided to come here first and tell you."

"Grandpa!" Two little voices cried out as Harry turned in time to see Nash and Noah, identical twin boys and his eldest grandchildren, come running into his arms. They were three and half and had Lily's warm brown eyes and their father's shaggy brown hair.

Harry bent and scooped them up into his arms, making them giggle as Hunter came into the room followed by his twin brother, Henry. Sometimes it boggled Harry's mind that he had grandchildren and yet still had two thirteen year old boys at home.

"Well, make yourself at home, Spencer," Harry said. "We'll talk more later when things settle down."

"Which is never," Hunter said, making himself a plate of snacks. "It's chaos here twenty-four/seven."

"Nah," Henry said, giving his brother an identical smirk. "Only twenty-three/seven at the most."

They both had Harry's black hair and green eyes and were currently in their third year at Hogwarts. Harry lowered Nash and Noah to the ground so that they could run to Ginny and moved over to grab Ella's arm.

"Is this serious then?"

Ella's eyes softened and Harry couldn't help but smile back at her. "Daddy, I really like him."

"I'm not ready for my last baby girl to get serious with a boy."

Ella reached up to pat Harry's cheek. "Tough luck, Dad."

Then she hurried off to greet her sister as Lily came in with her arms full of gifts and her husband, Oakley followed with Lia in his arms. Jamie and Hadley followed a few minutes later carrying one year old Rhysand and by the time everyone was comfortable and Ella told them about Spencer, Harry sighed.

"It was bound to happen," Ginny teased from next to him.

Harry gave his wife a look. "I'm not ready, Gin. Four of our kids are already married and two of them have made us grandparents and now… she's my last baby girl."

"And she'll still be your baby girl no matter what," Ginny said.

Harry knew his wife was right, but watching Ella smile at Spencer and the way Spencer looked at her, he knew that just like his other children, she had chosen well. By the next Christmas, they were engaged and when he walked her down the aisle two years later with tears in his eyes, he knew that she was going to be very happy and it was all he could ask for.

Ella and Spence had their first son four years after getting married, Logan Theodore Kane-Nott. Two years later, another boy whom they named Zeke Harry, Nolan Everett came two years after that, and in 2046, they had one more boy, Westley Sebastian. Ella told them four boys was more than enough as she'd named them all after the four most important men in her and Spence's life.

Harry got emotional at that statement and Ginny linked her fingers with his, a big smile on her face and Harry thought it was so wonderful to see his kids finding their happily ever after one at a time.

~ Final Epilogue ~

September 2036…

Everett Potter had always been a bit of a bookworm. He loved literature. He loved stories. He loved to spend his time buried in other people's imaginations. It was why when he was twenty-five, he'd taken the leap on creating his own publishing company. Unlike his cousin Domonique or his dad's godson, Teddy, Everett wasn't creative enough to write his own works. He'd never had the desire to, but he did have a very strong desire to read.

It was why in 2035, he opened Potter Publishing House in Apricity Lane. Teddy and Domonique were the first ones to help him get started as Teddy had fired his agent years ago due to creative differences and Domonique was working freelance. Everett wanted to help them so the deal was, he would print their books for free and in exchange, they would send any new up and coming authors his way.

He made a deal with his cousin Hugo as well since Hugo owned The Book Bar in Hogsmeade. Hugo received the first copies of any new books published to keep in his shop which helped his business and helped Everett establish a name for himself. It wasn't easy and Merlin knew that he was spending more time on the business side than on the reading side, but it was his dream and he loved every second of it.

It was why he was surprised when the door opened one day and a beautiful slim woman walked in with chin length bright blonde hair, big blue eyes, and dark eyebrows, glancing around the shop curiously.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Everett Potter."

"You found him," Everett said, coming down the steps from the office upstairs.

He had recently hired a house elf named Loren to work as a receptionist, but she was sick today so he was running the place alone. He was pretty sure that he didn't have any appointments today as he looked the woman over. She was beautiful and there was something familiar about her that he couldn't quite place.

"How may I help you?"

She smiled, her blue eyes twinkling. "Of course. The eyes. I should have known."

"Do I know you?"

"You don't remember me," the woman said, tilting her head. "Not that surprising, I suppose. I was a first year when you were in seventh and I spent most of my youth travelling the world with my parents. Xara."

Everett's eyes widened at her declaration and took her in again in surprise. "Scamander?"

"That's me," she said with a bright smile. "Wow, this place looks great. I love that you opened a publishing company, that's very classy. Anyway, sorry to bother you, but I was hoping you could help me."

Everett, still scrambling from hearing her say that she was Xara Scamander only nodded. Merlin, he didn't think he'd seen her since school and back then she'd been a scrawny eleven-year-old with her head too big for her body. Of course, he knew her twin brothers, Lorcan and Lysander who had been in his year, but he couldn't even remember hearing anything about what their sister was up to.

"Xara, just wow… sorry, long time no see. How are you?"

"I'm good," Xara said with a bright smile. "I finished Hogwarts last year and have been working with my grandfather on his magazine, The Quibbler."

"Oh, that's great," Everett said, coming the rest of the way down the stairs.

"It is," Xara agreed. "It's about The Quibbler that I wanted to talk to you. It seems Grandpa's printing press has finally gone tits up and we have an issue we need to print. Grandpa asked the Daily Prophet and they more or less laughed in his face. Your mum's magazine is on its own deadline and she won't be able to squeeze in both, so she sent me here; said you might be able to help."

"Yeah," Everett said. "I mean, yes, I can definitely help."

They talked plans and an hour later, Xara paid a small fee to use the press and they were in business. Everett stayed to help her, watching the way she worked with a soft smile. When the one thousand copies of The Quibbler were printed, Xara thanked him with a bright smile, putting the magazines into the box she'd brought with a lightweight charm to hold them.

He walked her to the door and told her to come back if there were any problems or if she needed more copies made. Xara told him she would and then paused at the door, looking back over her shoulder at him.

"You're adorably sexy, Everett Potter," she said, making his cheeks flush as he adjusted his glasses.

"Oh, erm, thank you."

Xara's smile widened. "Would you like to grab dinner with me sometime?"

"Who? Me?" Everett asked, staring at her with a baffled expression.

"Well, you are the only other person here," Xara teased.

Everett shoved his hands into his pockets. "Oh, right. I… yes, um, I mean, all right."

Xara smiled. "Great. The Greek A's, seven o'clock."

"Erm, yes, I'll be there."

When she winked at him and left, he stared dumbfounded at the door. Why did he always have to act like such a bumbling wanker around a beautiful woman? He headed back up to his office and pulled his mirror from his pocket, saying his sister's name. A moment later, his twin's face appeared.

"Ella, hi, I need help."

Ella rolled her eyes in the mirror. "What did you do now, Ev?"

"I didn't do anything," Everett complained. "That's, well, it might be the problem. Mum just sent Xara Scamander here to use the press because The Quibbler's is down."

"Oh, I haven't seen Xara in ages! How is she? You know Lysander was my first kiss."

"Oi!" Spencer exclaimed from the background. "No reminiscing over past loves."

"Past kisses," Ella corrected. "Don't worry, love, yours are much better."

"That's because I kiss your clit with my sexy beard," he said, kissing along her jaw.

Everett squeezed the bridge of his nose. "I get it. You're newlyweds. Please stop."

Ella chuckled. "Ev, what happened with Xara?"

"She asked me to dinner."

"The horror!" Ella gasped, her green eyes twinkling.

"No, you don't understand," Everett said. "I mean, she asked me to dinner and I think it might be a date."

Spencer frowned. "Why do you only think?"

"Well, what if it's just a friendly catch-up?"

Ella sighed. "I told you, Spence. Ev is completely oblivious when it comes to the opposite sex."

"I'm not oblivious," Everett whined. "It's not like I'm a virgin or something. It's just… is this a date?"

"All right, well, let's back up. How did the conversation go?"

"Well, she thanked me for letting her use the press and I told her she could come back anytime or if she needed more copies and she said I was adorably sexy and then asked me to dinner."

"You're definitely in, mate," Spencer said. "Adorably sexy is a good compliment. She wants you."

"She does?" Everett asked.

Ella rolled her eyes. "I love you, Ev, but you're a wanker. Go out on your date and have a good time. Talk to her."

"About what?"

"I don't know, stuff," Ella said. "Tell her about what you like, about your job, your hobbies, ask about hers… you know, stuff."

"I can do that," Everett mumbled.

"Good," Ella said. "Have fun and don't forget to use the contraception charm. Bye!"

Everett frowned as his twin sister disappeared from the mirror and thought it was completely mad how she was his best friend and most annoying enemy rolled into one. He finished up for the day and then went to the flat above his business to change into dark blue jeans and an olive green button down.

Then he headed out to The Greek A's around the corner and arrived ten minutes early. He fiddled with his shirt, taking slow sips of his beer while he waited before he recognized his grandparents in the corner. He stood up to go over and greet them and Zee's face lit up at the sight of him.

"Everett! What a lovely surprise!" Zee exclaimed, reaching for him.

He leaned in to hug her and kiss her cheek before doing the same to Sirius, then to Remus and Tonks. "Hi, Zeema. Padpa. Moopa. Mooma. What are you all doing here?"

"Having a night on the town," Tonks said with a grin. Despite being sixty-two, her hair was still highlighted in pink and purples that suited her. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, erm," Everett said, pushing his glasses up his nose. "I kind of have a date."

"A date!" Sirius exclaimed, wiggling his eyebrows. "Do tell!"

"There's nothing to tell, Padpa. It's our first one and she should be here any second."

Remus smiled warmly at him and patted his hand affectionately. He was seventy-five, silver-haired, and yet still handsome and slim. "Go on then, have fun with your date. You can fill us in later."

"But Moony, I want the tea now," Sirius whinged.

"We don't have time for the tea now," Zee said. "We need to get home before Leo drops off Jackson and Zayn for the night."

"What about Nova and Nevra?" Tonks asked, referring to Leo and Aydin's two youngest children who were three.

"Charlie and Lee were taking them for the night. Leo and Aydin are having a date night, but Jackson had a Little Quidditch match to play. Let's go, babe," Zee said, pushing her husband to his feet.

Everett wished them off, hugging his grandparents in turn before he headed back to his table. A glance at his watch told him Xara was late and when she breezed in at ten past seven, a bright smile on her face, he couldn't help but smile back.

"Sorry, I'm late. I always have good intentions to be on time, but you should probably know, I'm terrible at it and am almost always late."

"Right," Everett said.

Xara beamed at him and ordered a Coca-Cola before she rested her arms on the table and leaned forward. "All right, Everett Potter, tell me everything."

"Everything? Well, there's… everything is a lot."

Xara chuckled. "Are you always this nervous or is it just around me? Actually, don't tell me, it's good for my ego."

Everett's lips twitched at that. "I guess I don't know what to say."

A waitress came over to take their order, preventing him from having to answer. They both ordered salads and souvlaki before the waitress left them to it.

"All right, I'll start," Xara said with a wide smile. "I just turned twenty last week and I love being an editor for my grandfather's magazine because I enjoy the editing process and the little comments or suggestions I can make to improve upon things. I hate travelling because it was my whole life and being in one place just suits me. I love strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce, the colour blue, and really great sex."

Everett choked on his beer and Xara smirked.

"Your turn."

"I… erm, you… um… I love to read," he mumbled. "Everything. Horror. Fantasy. Romance. I'll read anything. I'd rather be reading then doing almost anything else."

"Almost anything else?"

He blushed. "Well, except sex."

Xara smiled. "Happy to hear that."

Everett took a drink of his beer. "I'm close with my family, especially my twin sister, Ella, who is my biggest pain in the arse."

"Try having older twin brothers, complete headache."

"Try having younger twin brothers, the same."

Xara's lips twitched. "He makes jokes."

"I can," he said. "I opened Potter Publishing House a year ago and while I wouldn't say I'm making a profit just yet, I'm not in the black so it's a good sign."

The waitress brought them their food as Xara talked about how she was planning to take over The Quibbler from her grandfather.

"Grandpa bought the magainze outright about fifteen years ago and he loves that magazine! The fact that I've come to work with him means the world to him and we're talking about me taking it on and over within the next decade. I need some more practice under my belt first," Xara explained.

"Yeah, of course," Everett said. "I'm going to be twenty-six next month and I couldn't imagine having tried this at your age. I worked as an editor for Chasing the Quaffle for a few years before I got a job at Magical Publishing Press. The experience helped for sure, but it was too big for my liking. I'm kind of a loner and… it was a lot. My own place is what I needed to do and now I just have to put in the work to make sure it doesn't epically flop."

"I'm sure it won't," Xara assured him. "I heard you bought the publishing rights to authors like Lupin and William."

"I did," Everett said with a smile. "But I kind of lucked out as Lupin is my dad's godson and William is my cousin." He said thinking of Teddy and Domonique.

Xara chuckled. "Well, yes, that definitely helps!"

They spoke more about their respective jobs and then lingered over dessert before finally leaving the restaurant. Xara adjusted her scarf around her neck and snuck a look over at him.

"So, what's it take to get a goodnight kiss around here?"

Everett blushed. "Oh, um, asking works."

Xara smiled. "Will you kiss me goodnight, Everett?"

Everett licked his lips before he carefully lowered his head to meet her lips for a soft kiss that made his palms sweat and his heart pound. When his tongue met hers, she made a delightful groan that made him instantly hard and he wrapped his arms around her to deepen the kiss.

When he finally pulled back, Xara's eyes were dazed and she licked her lips slowly.

"Adorably sexy and he can kiss," she teased, holding the lapels of his jacket.

"Well, I had a good partner," he said, nipping at her mouth.

Xara leaned into the kiss again and Everett lost himself in her lips until someone bumped them and they realized they were practically blocking the door to the restaurant. Everett took her hand and led her away and she smiled.

"Where are we going?"

"I don't know," he admitted, stopping her by the streetlamp.

Xara slid her hands up his chest and up the back of his neck to play with the short hairs there. "Or, you could take me up to your flat, lie me down on your bed, and eat me out?"

Everett's eyes widened. "You — what?"

Xara shrugged. "I'm randy and your kisses are amazing. I want to feel them on my clit."

"You… you just really say whatever you want, don't you?"

Xara smiled, her eyes twinkling. "My mother taught me to never hide who I am, even if people think that's weird or outspoken or too forward. I like sex. It's been almost six months since I've had sex and your mouth has made me think of nothing but sex since the moment you opened it."

She leaned forward and nipped at his bottom lip, her body pressing against his in a way that told him she was most definitely feeling how hard he was.

"Take me home, Everett. Eat me out. Then, if you make me come twice, I might blow you."

Everett's fingers tangled in her short blonde hair. "You're a bloody tease, Xara."

"Mmm, no, I'm a woman who knows what she wants, Everett. What do you want?"

Everett pinned her against the post and pressed his body closer, his lips moving up to her ear. "I want you to know that I can do a hell of a lot better than two measly orgasms."

Then he yanked himself away from her and extended his hand.

"Are you coming home with me or what?"

Xara grinned and took his hand and Everett led her back to his flat.

She came five times, screaming so loud he was grateful he didn't have neighbours. When she finally caught her breath, he made to go down on her again, but she pushed him back.

"Merlin's beard, Ev, there's no way I can come again," she said, a laugh in her throat. "But you must be very uncomfortable. Let me help with that."

He watched her undo his belt and shove his trousers down around his very hard cock and her eyes widened when she revealed him.

"Oh, yeah, erm, I'm a bit… bigger…"

Xara's eyes moved over his thick length in surprise before her eyes found his and she grinned. "I've always loved a challenge."

And then she used her mouth and he came much faster than he would have liked. Xara didn't seem to mind though as she kissed his chest, running her hands over his flat stomach and up to tease a nipple. Her lips met his again for a long kiss and when he rolled her over, kissing his way down her body to settle between her legs, she whimpered.

"Oh, goddess… how are you so sweet and such a giver!"

He licked her before he smiled. "You're not the only one who loves a challenge."

Come the morning, Everett had gotten her off three more times before he finally sank into her and shagged her into his mattress. They fell asleep in each other's arms and when he woke in the morning, she was gone.

He found his glasses on his night table and padded naked into the kitchen to make some coffee. The note on the table made him grin.

Ev,

I'll have you know that eight times is world record and I had trouble walking out of here. You and your fabulously talented mouth and monster cock have ruined me for all other men. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I have a busy few days at The Quibbler as we work on the next issue, but I can make time on Tuesday if you're up for another date? I'll bring takeaway and suck you off between the courses.

Let me know.

Xara

Everett couldn't stop smiling as he read the note and thought he definitely had time on Tuesday.

He only managed to get her off six times on Tuesday but it started to become a thing. The next thing he knew, they were planning their nights around seeing each other and she woke him up on the morning of his twenty-sixth birthday with her mouth wrapped around his cock.

Everett thought it was the best birthday ever.

By November, Everett took her to dinner at Ella and Spence's house and when his mother found out, he brought her home for dinner. Harry and Ginny welcomed her, catching up with her and asking about Luna and Rolf.

Harry put his hand on his shoulder. "Bring her round for Christmas, yeah?"

"I will, Dad," Everett said. "I… I really like her."

"I see a lot of Luna in her," Harry said. "The way she talks, the openness, the confidence… she's a good fit for you."

"It's only been three months, Dad, let's not get ahead of ourselves just because the rest of my siblings are dropping like flies."

Harry chuckled. "Don't worry, I promise to cry at your wedding too."

Everett rolled his eyes. "Great. Just what I've always wanted."

Luna and Rolf finally came back to England a week before Christmas and Xara brought Everett to dinner. Luna gave him a bright smile and kissed his cheek.

"You're a good man, Everett. Very much like your father and you should be proud," Luna said.

"Erm, thanks," Everett replied.

Luna tapped his cheek. "From what my daughter says, your orgasm game makes you very much your father's son."

Everett blushed dark pink. "Well, I… erm…"

Rolf chuckled and put his arm around Luna. "Now, now, Luna, let's not scare him off. He likes our Xara which is good because I wouldn't want to have to sic some dangerous magical creature after him for breaking her heart."

Xara rolled her eyes. "Ignore him, Everett. Daddy would never do that. He would be too afraid of hurting the magical creature in the process."

"Xara! Don't give away all of my secrets!"

In January, Everett and Luna had dinner with one his godfathers, Colin Creevey-Chavan and his husband Mads. Since Colin was best friends with Ginny and Luna, Xara already knew him and she kissed his cheek when she greeted him.

Their son Dennis Mads, who was ten, ran to greet them closely followed by their five-year-old-daughter Divya Cora. Both had been adopted, Dennis as a baby and Divya only last year. They'd given Divya the middle name Cora upon adopting her and Everett swung her up into his arms, making her laugh. It had taken her more than six months to really get comfortable around the people in their life, but now she was a happy kid and Everett loved seeing his godfather so happy.

They had dinner with Everett's other godfather a week later, his Uncle Charlie. Everett introduced Xara to him and his Uncle Lee and Xara told Charlie all about the magical creatures her father had in his case over the years.

By March he knew for certain he was madly in love with her but couldn't get himself to tell her. Ella teased him mercilessly.

"Just say the words, Ev! Tell her how you feel!"

"It's not that easy, Ella!" Everett whinged. "I want to say it right. I don't want to… bumble my way through it."

Ella sighed and gave him a sympathetic look. "Just speak from the heart, Everett."

It still took him another month to find the words and only after a night of great sex where he made her come ten times. He gave her a final lick before he rested his chin on her stomach.

"I love you, Xara."

Xara's blue-violet eyes met his in a soft smile, her fingers brushing through his cedar hair. "I know. I love you, too."

She moved into his flat with him in September and when he turned twenty-seven, he went to James' house and asked his big brother to help him pick out a ring. It was how come November, he, James, and Albus had signed Henry and Hunter out of Hogwarts for the day so that they could all go ring shopping for the perfect engagement ring. Despite having his brothers along for help, Everett's anxiety was only rising.

James put his arm over his shoulders. "Don't panic, Ev. You'll find it," James assured him.

Hunter wrinkled his nose. "Definitely want something cool. Xara's a lot like Auntie Luna so it can't just be a boring old diamond."

Everett nodded at his seventeen-year-old-brother as his twin Henry leaned over Hunter's shoulder.

"Something colourful for sure," Henry said.

It was Albus who spotted it first.

"That one's unique," Albus said, making Everett spin around to look.

It was white gold with a turquoise gemstone shaped like a hexagon in the centre. White gold vines crawled around the ring with purple flowers, reflecting in the turquoise and it reminded him immediately of the same type of vibrancy he always saw in Xara's eyes.

"That's it. I think that's the one," Everett whispered.

Albus grinned. "Let's do this then."

He bought the ring, happily showing his brothers again before he tried to work out a plan on how to propose. He asked his brother-in-law Christian to make him a flower out of chocolate and he carefully placed the ring in the centre of the bloom. Then he waited for his girlfriend to come home.

When she opened the flower box, her eyes widened and she went, "Oooh, chocolate!" Half a second before her eyes fell on the ring and she gasped. When she spun around, he was down on one knee.

"Xara."

"Yes!" she shouted, throwing herself into his arms. "Absolutely yes, Everett Potter."

He grinned. "Does it count if I didn't officially ask you?"

Xara laughed and kissed him. "Only if you don't put the ring on me."

He slid the ring onto her finger and she kissed him again. They married in 2039 and barely a year later welcomed their first daughter into the world whom they named Hazel Ella Potter. Two years later, another girl, Galina Xara before having a son two years after that, Landon Everett. They welcomed a final girl in February of 2046 whom they named Waverly Luna Genevieve teased them that of course both Ella and Everett each had four children who were all only months apart from each other.

"Can't you two ever do something on your own?" Genevieve teased.

Ella stuck her tongue out at her sister. "I had to tell Ev that his first date with Xara was even a date, he would be lost without me."

"Not true," Everett said.

"Totally true," James said, holding his new niece Waverly with a smile.

Harry put his arm around Ginny, a big smile on his face as he looked around at his happy family and Everett and Xara lived happily ever after…

~ Final Epilogue ~

June 2043…

Hunter Potter loved his job. He'd spent most of his life dreaming about being a firefighter with the Official Broom Brigade and on his eighteenth birthday, he'd gone into the training program with a sense of belonging. Now, he was twenty-three and working out of one of the biggest firehouses in London and he loved every second of it.

Or he usually did until there were cases like his one when it involved dead bodies that were definitely dead before the fire had even been set. He rolled his shoulders back and watched his lieutenant report the bodies and then waited for the Aurors to turn up.

His father had been Head Auror of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for almost twenty years. His Uncle Ron still worked as Deputy Head Auror of the Dark Arts Unit. And his eldest brother Jamie had been an A3 for nineteen years. It didn't matter that Hunter was twenty-three years old, he knew that when they heard his name, all of them would show up at the crime scene.

Sure enough, it took ten minutes for James to find him first.

"Hunter! You all right?"

"Fine, Jamie," Hunter said, trying not to roll his eyes. "Just a routine fire until we found the bodies. That's why we called you."

A moment later his dad appeared at his side.

"Hunter, all right?"

"Fine, Dad," Hunter said. "As I was telling Jamie, it was just a routine fire until we found the bodies."

Harry nodded, looking around the scene. "Good, good."

Ron appeared at Harry's side, his red hair with streaks of white. "Don't worry, Harry. I asked Hart to handle it. She's the best."

"She's still only an A2," Harry said with a frown.

"And she's the best," Ron repeated. "Don't worry, Jamie and Cass are supervising."

Hunter snorted. He wasn't sure that was really helpful. Cass had married his cousin Roxie and between him and James, Hunter knew that the immaturity level was high despite their qualifications of the job.

He turned back to his team to help clean up their tools as the Aurors took over and watched his dad, uncle, and brother finally leave. He was tying his hose back onto his broom when he heard a voice behind him.

"Excuse me, were you the fire flyer who found the bodies?"

Hunter turned and his eyes automatically dipped to take in the gorgeous woman before him. He knew it was rude to stare, but her long blonde hair hung over her shoulders in soft waves and her blue eyes were outlined in some kind of makeup that made them pop. He took in her trim figure and swallowed before his eyes finally met hers.

"That's right, my eyes are up here," she said, rolling them dramatically. "Now, were you the fire flyer who found the bodies?"

"Yes," Hunter said. "And you are?"

"Auror Hart."

Hart, he thought. "Got a first name, Hart?"

"Yes, Auror," she said, turning to her notes. "Can you tell me where and how you discovered the bodies, FF…"

"Hunter," he said, extending his hand. "Hunter Potter."

"Well, Fire Flyer Potter, if you could please tell me how and where you found the bodies…?"

Hunter gestured her to follow him as he explained the path they entered the house and how they found the three bodies left in a circle in the centre of the room. He explained how it was clear they'd been dead prior due to their positions and lack of struggle. If not dead, clearly unconscious and it was obviously before the smoke could knock them out.

"All right, thank you. If I have any more questions, can I reach you at the station?"

"Yes," Hunter said. "Diagon Alley Broomgade."

He watched her walk away, doing his best not to stare at her arse in her black trousers and cursed the red cloak for hiding for it.

"Bloody hell," his best friend, second-cousin, and fellow fire flyer Colten Black exclaimed with a grin. "That is one beautiful woman. She's what I would call a total knock-out. Ten out of ten."

"Tell me about it," Hunter mumbled. "She caught me ogling her like a pig and is now supremely uninterested."

"Too bad, mate," Colten said with a wink. "I'd ask Flo to double date with you for sure."

Hunter snorted. "I'm sure she'd love that. She likes me more than you."

"Piss off! She does not! I'm the one she said yes too!"

That was another thing, his best friend, second-cousin, and coworker had recently asked his girlfriend Florencia Fazio to marry him and she'd said yes. Hunter remembered how hard Zeema had screamed when he'd announced it over dinner last weekend.

Apparently the fact that he was named after Zeema's great-grandfather was one thing, but him falling in love with an Italian witch with the nickname Flo, was some full circle kind of thing that made their Zeema way too happy.

"Did you at least get her name?" Colten asked, brushing soot out of his dark hair.

"Just her surname," Hunter admitted. "But I'll see what I can do."

He waited two days before he headed to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with the thought of checking in on the case. Since it was his Uncle Ron who had assigned Hart to the case, Hunter was assuming she was part of the Dark Arts Unit. He greeted a few Aurors who recognized him, got his back slapped by Higgins and then spotted her blonde hair in a desk in the corner, so he headed and over and made himself comfortable in the hard chair next to her desk.

"FF Potter," Hart said, giving him a brief look before returning to her paperwork. "How may I help you?"

"Auror Hart," he replied, his lips curving. "I was stopping by to check on the case. Figured you might have some follow up questions or that you might need something else from the fire flyers."

"Nope," Hart said. "Your captain already sent over the reports. Thanks anyway though."

"Well, can you tell me anything?"

"No," Hart said again. "It's an ongoing investigation, FF Potter, surely you know what that means."

"I do," Hunter replied. "But since my department is the one who alerted you to the crime, I thought maybe you'd want to share some of your findings. No worries. I can see when I'm not wanted."

"Hmm," Hart mumbled, but didn't look up.

Hunter put his hand on top of her paperwork making her scowl at him. "Is it weird that I find a scowl sexy?"

"Yes," Hart said, pulling her papers out from his grasp. "Go away, Potter."

"What's your name, Hart?"

"It's Piss Off."

Hunter chuckled. "I can work with that."

"Sloane, catch!" someone yelled.

Hart's hands opened to catch the muffin that came flying through the air and Hunter grinned.

"Sloane Hart… great name. I'll see you around, Sloane."

She continued to scowl at his back until he stepped into the lifts and he gave her a little wave, making her scowl harder and Hunter thought she was going to be rather fun to needle.

It was too bloody bad she wasn't interested.

When he ran into her at a pub a few days later, he wasn't sure which one of them was more surprised. She was clearly on a date and gave him an annoyed stare so he shrugged and headed back to where his twin brother Henry was drinking beer with Colten, Bram Black (Colten's little brother), and Liam Lupin, their cousin.

"Shot down again, Hunter!" Colten said with a laugh.

"Nah, she's here on a date," Hunter said, taking a drink of his beer. "I'm not interested in bothering her over that."

They drank and chatted, made plans for Colten's bachelor party despite the fact that he wasn't getting married for two years yet, and Henry talked about how exhausting his job was as an emergency healer in St Mungo's A&E.

"You should see some of the things people come into emergency for," Henry said, shaking his head. "I had no idea that so many people tried to shove objects up their arse. It's downright embarrassing."

Bram snorted. "Well, the pleasure component makes you curious."

"Not that curious," Henry said making them laugh.

Hunter finished up his second beer and wished his group goodnight. He had an early shift in the morning and needed to go home and get some sleep. He stepped out into the cool air of the night and adjusted the collar of his jacket just as he heard someone say, 'no, stop!'

He turned automatically and marched towards the voice. He realized instantly it was Sloane and her date. Her date was trying to paw at her and she was trying to shove him off. Hunter started to step in, angry at the tosser for not understanding the word no, but Sloane was faster. She did some fancy footwork and shifted, sending the man flying over her back and crashing to the ground.

"Bloody hell, woman!" the man cried out.

"I said no, arsehole. Stay down or I'll bring you into the DMLE for assault."

"You assaulted me!" he cried.

Sloane rolled her eyes. "No, that was self-defence. Goodnight, tosser."

She adjusted her purse and turned to march off, her eyes finding Hunter's in the night.

"What are you doing out here?"

"Well, I thought someone needed help and arrived in time for you to kick his arse," he admitted with a grin. "Nice moves, Hart."

"Thank you," she said, moving past him as the guy on the ground groaned and climbed to his feet.

Hunter fell into step next to her. "Listen, I can see how much you can totally handle yourself, but if you'd like some company on your way home, I'd be happy to offer."

Hunter thought she was going to protest, but she snuck a look back at the man behind her and nodded.

"Okay, that would be… thanks."

"No problem," Hunter said.

They walked in almost silence for five full minutes before Sloane turned to look at him.

"I'm not going to go out with you."

"All right," Hunter said.

"And I'm definitely not sleeping with you."

"Direct hit to my ego, but noted," he said.

Sloane frowned. "Why are you being nice to me?"

Hunter blinked and ran a hand through his dark wavy hair. "Um, because it's the right thing to do? That wanker didn't take no for answer and yeah, you totally kicked his arse like the badarse Auror you clearly are, but I was always taught you don't let a woman walk home at night alone, no matter how capable she is and especially after a wanker tried to hurt her."

"Huh," Sloane said, her lips curving. "I guess maybe chivalry isn't dead after all."

Hunter grinned. "Not in my world, no."

When they arrived outside of her flat, she thanked him again and then headed up. He waited until he saw her light come on before he took off, his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face.

It was two weeks later when they ran into each other again, this time at the gym in Diagon Alley. She was sparring with a dummy and he admired her form for longer than he wanted to admit before he challenged her to a real fight.

Two minutes in the ring with her told him she was definitely not someone to mess with. A minute later, he was on the ground and she was grinning from above him.

"Sneaky right hook," Hunter said with a scowl. "Again."

She took him down a second time and then a third. By now people were cheering around them and placing bets around the room. Hunter finally managed to grab her and slam her down into the matt, pinning her beneath him, but she squirmed, got a knee free and sent him flying. When he attacked again, she flipped him over her back and his breath rushed out of him as he landed flat on the mat to the sounds of jeers and taunts.

Sloane extended her hand to him, a big grin on her face. "Shall we call it then?"

Hunter accepted her hand and then yanked her right down next to him. "Definitely not even, Hart. You owe me a drink."

She laughed as they climbed to their feet. "All right, I suppose that's fair."

Thirty minutes later, they were both showered and changed and heading into the same pub they'd run into each other in a few weeks back. Sloane bought him a beer and sat across from him with her own pint, watching him over the top of her glass.

"I'm impressed that you didn't run for the hills when I took you down."

"Why would I?" Hunter asked. "It was a fair fight. I might be bigger and stronger but you clearly have more skill. Honestly, I'm impressed."

Sloane smiled. "Well, that's something then."

Hunter grinned back and leaned forward a bit across the table. "So, was it only because I was blatantly checking you out that made you hate me on sight or did I do something else I'm not aware of?"

She bit her lip. "Well, the blatantly checking me out was both flattering and insulting."

"I don't have to tell you that you're beautiful," Hunter said. "But you are one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen in my life. I'm going to ogle you every chance I get, both blatantly and not so blatantly, but you're also an Auror which tells me you're intelligent, skilled, and probably brilliant. If my Uncle Ron claims you're one of the best, I have no doubt that you are. I think that makes you fascinating."

"Most men find it intimidating."

"I don't," Hunter said. "It's kind of sexy the way you keep kicking my arse."

She laughed. "Well, if I knew that was the way to get a date, I'll have to do it more often."

Hunter grinned. "You can kick my arse every day of the week. Sparing with you was fun. Maybe you'll even teach me a thing or two."

"Maybe I will," she said, making his smile widen.

They started meeting three times a week, working out together at the gym and then sparing on the mat. She did kick his arse, every single time, and he had no regrets. After two weeks of sparing, he pinned her to the mat and leaned in to whisper in her ear.

"You should let me take you on a date."

She flipped him off of her and straddled him, pinning him to the mat. "Why would I do that?"

Hunter took control again and pinned her beneath him. "Because I think we both know how much we want it."

"A date?"

"No," he growled when she pinned him again, shifting so that she could feel exactly what she was doing to him.

Sloane's eyes widened slightly before Hunter flipped them again and pinned her to the mat. "Oh!"

"Oh as in yes, Hunter, I'll go out with you?"

"Yes, oh as in exactly that," Sloane whispered.

He grinned and attempted to lean in and steal a kiss but he found himself flat on his back again instead with her giving him a saucy wink.

"Pick me up at eight, Potter."

Hunter watched her saunter off with a grin and thought she was definitely going to be worth it.

One date turned into two which turned into three which turned into a month. Everything about Sloane Hart fascinated Hunter. She was passionate about her job. Witty and smart and so bloody beautiful. The sex was stupendous and Hunter was pretty sure naked sparing was his new favourite hobby as long as she was his partner. Her best friend was his cousin, Helia Goyle and she gave him a look and told him if he hurt her, she would kill him. Hunter had laughed and told Helia he was aware, but Sloane was more than capable of kicking his arse on her own.

Their jobs were both demanding which sometimes made making time for each other difficult. Sloane often had to work overtime and with his twenty-four hour shifts, it sometimes felt like they never saw each other. But they made it work.

After two months together, he brought her home to meet his parents and discovered his mother had invited all of his brothers and sisters, their spouses, and their kids for the meet and greet. Hunter held her hand outside of the door to Clevedon Court and let out a small sigh.

"If you want to back out, here's your chance."

Sloane chuckled. "I don't want to back out, Hunter. I want to meet your family."

"Even though they're completely mad?"

"Even then," Sloane said.

Hunter nodded. She'd told him how her parents had been killed in a car crash when she was nine and how she'd had no other relatives. She'd grown up in an orphanage until she's received her Hogwarts letter and discovered she was a witch. When she befriended Helia, she started spending most summers at her house and Hunter chuckled.

"It's kind of mad that you used to be at my Auntie Mina's and Uncle Grayson's and we never really met before."

"Guess it wasn't our time," Sloane said.

Hunter grinned and kissed their joined hands. "Sounds like kismet to me. Come on, let me introduce you to the chaos."

Chaos was exactly what it was as Hunter introduced her to his siblings, their spouses, and the dozens of nieces and nephews he had. Sloane was barely in her seat before Genevieve passed her her newest daughter, three month old Summer Lily Lyon. Lily was talking about being a surrogate for the third time for Albus and Scorpius and his brother James was chasing his two and half year-old daughter Grace around the living room in an attempt to change her dirty outfit. Ella was holding a fussy Zeke while Hunter's sister-in-law Xara was attempting to change Galina's nappy as Everett played on the floor with his other daughter Hazel. More kids shouted and cried and when Hunter looked over at his father, Harry had a huge grin on his face.

This was Harry Potter's happy place and it always made Hunter grin when he saw it.

"So, you're the girlfriend," Henry said, plopping down next to Sloane and taking Summer from her arms. "I'm a healer, you know, much sexier than a fire flyer."

Sloane chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind if I need a replacement."

Henry grinned. "I like her."

Hunter elbowed his twin. "Go find your own woman."

Henry winked and handed Summer off to her grandfather and Hunter smiled at Sloane. Seeing her here with his family around them, it was perfect. When Harry pulled her into a tight hug, the surprise in her eyes before she melted into his warm embrace made Hunter positive that was the day he fell in love with her.

He proposed a year later (well he had Henry propose and when Sloane promptly kicked him to the door he knew she was definitely perfect).

"You know you've found the one when she can not only tell you apart from your identical twin, but she doesn't put up with your shit," Fred told him, a wide smile on his face.

Hunter thought it was some of the best advice his godfather had ever given him. When he finally asked, she told him that he and Henry were both gits before she kissed him and said yes.

They married in May of 2046 and when their first babies were born, fraternal twins on Valentine's day of 2049, it was definitely a day to remember…

~ Final Epilogue ~

14th February 2049…

Henry Potter, the last of the Potter kids to remain single, met his match a year before his identical twin brother would marry. It was a cool autumn day and he was working his rounds as an emergency healer in the A&E department of St Mungo's Hospital when a beautiful woman came in with her head looking like a teapot and smoke blowing out of her nose.

Henry immediately hurried over to her to make sure she wasn't in any immediate distress before sending her to Artefact Accidents Unit, otherwise known as the AAU, to be examined properly. He sent word up to the unit that he suspected the cause might be due to a Weasleys Wizard Wheezes item and hoped his uncles and cousins hadn't caused some other form of distress for the woman.

His day stayed busy from a toddler who was coughing like a quacking duck to an outbreak of chicken pox to a broken arm from a broomstick accident. He managed to scarf down half a sandwich for lunch before a family came in with blue rash and an elderly man came in with an erection he couldn't get rid of.

Life in the A&E was always interesting.

Henry didn't think much of the woman he'd directed to the AAU so when he ran into her on his way home for the night, he was pleasantly surprised to find the flutter of attraction followed. She stepped into the lift with him, a smile on her face.

"Good evening."

"Evening," Henry said.

Now that she no longer looked like a teapot, Henry could admire how beautiful she was. She had long brown hair and big brown eyes and when she smiled, Henry felt it in every part of him.

"You're the healer who sent me up to the AAU to be treated by Healer Jones," she said, recognizing him. "Thank you. If you hadn't realized it was the result of a WWW product, I might have been stuck here for hours."

Henry chuckled. "I hate to say it, but it's my uncles who run the joke shop that supplied the toy that turned you into a teapot. I think half of our patients are because of them sometimes."

"How unfortunate," the woman said, extending her hand. "I'm Dani."

"Henry," he said, accepting her hand.

"Henry," Dani said with a warm smile. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Henry said before he headed out and started to make his way back to his flat.

The next few days were just as busy as the last. When his streak of shifts finally ended, all he wanted to do was go home and have a hot bath and maybe a good glass of whisky to warm his belly.

Instead he found himself flat on his back, staring up at the night sky with his head pounding as he realized he'd just hit a patch of black ice. A moment later, familiar warm brown eyes hovered over his face.

"Merlin's balls! That was a good one! Are you all right?"

"I… I think so," he admitted, attempting to sit up. "Bloody hell, my head…"

"You've got a bit of blood here. Looks like you cracked your skull hard on the landing. Going to have a nice bruise on your arse in the morning."

"Wonderful," Henry said, wincing when she touched a sore spot on his head.

"Henry!"

"Aye," he said, pushing her hand away.

"Dani! We met last week in the lifts," she said, holding three fingers in front of his face. "How many fingers am I holding up, Handsome?"

"I'm fine," he insisted, pushing her hand away as embarrassment rose up.

Of course he would decide to fall on his arse in front of a beautiful woman and of course it was the same gorgeous woman who had made his stomach flutter like he was bloody thirteen years old again.

Dani put a hand on his chest to push him back down. "I don't like the look of this cut, stay put."

"I'm the healer here and I say I'm fine."

Dani lifted an eyebrow and gave him a cool once over. "What you are is a stubborn man who's head is bleeding. So, sit back and shut up while I look it over."

Henry opened his mouth to protest and she shushed him.

"Small cut on the back of your head, bleeding a lot, but I don't think it's serious. I can seal it closed for you, if you'd like?"

"Fine, yeah, do it," he said, annoyed.

The one thing all healers were good at it was being the worst patients themselves. The only thing Henry wanted to do was to get home and pretend he hadn't fallen flat on his arse in front of this beautiful woman.

A moment later a warmth seeped into the back of his head and then she made a cloth appear as she cleaned up the blood.

"Better?"

"Naturally," Henry said.

Dani helped him to his feet with a smile. "You could say thank you, you know."

"I appreciate the assistance, but I could have handled it myself."

"Funny because you looked like you just fell on your arse."

"There was ice and… it was slippery!"

"Arms flailing," Dani teased. "It was very attractive."

Henry flushed. "Are you done?"

Dani grinned and extended her hand. "Come on, Handsome. Let me help you get home."

"I am perfectly capable of getting home myself," Henry insisted.

"And perfectly stubborn, I see," Dani said. "Do you recall that your head was just bleeding?"

"I'm a healer, we're known to be stubborn and pigheaded."

"I can see that," Dani said. "Why don't you go to the A&E and make sure you don't have a concussion?"

"I don't."

"How do you know?" she demanded.

"Healer, remember."

Dani rolled her eyes and he laughed.

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to be an arsehole, it's just… no one likes to fall on their arse in front of a beautiful woman."

Dani's lips twitched. "If it helps, it was a very manly flailing."

"It does a little," he said, making her laugh. "All right, I'm pretty sure I don't have a concussion, but why don't you grab a hot cocoa with me and keep me company, just in case."

"Smooth, Healer Henry, smooth."

Ten minutes later they were sitting in a little café near St Mungo's each with a steaming mug of hot cocoa as Dani told him how her seven-year-old-nephew had been the one responsible for turning her into a teapot. He was apparently a bit of a troublemaker. She told him how she'd been watching them for a bit while his parents went out and how she'd been forced to call them home so that she could come to the A&E.

"I get it," Henry said. "I have seven siblings and they all have kids except for my twin."

"You have a twin?"

"Identical," Henry said. "His name's Hunter and he's getting married next year. He's a fire flyer."

"A fire flyer and a healer, your parents must be proud."

"I think so," Henry said. "What do you do, Dani?"

"The fact that you don't know the answer to that just gave you major bonus points."

Henry quirked an eyebrow. "I don't get it."

She smiled and ran her finger over the edge of her coffee mug. "What if I told you my name is Daniella Zabini?"

Henry gave her a questioning look before the name clicked into place and his eyes widened. "As in the actress?"

"One in the same," she said with a smile.

"Well, I… holy Godric!" Henry said, suddenly feeling nervous. "I certainly didn't expect to be sitting with a wireless star today."

Dani chuckled. "I think today I'd much rather just be Dani, the one who was turned into a human teapot by her nephew and a week later saved a healer from a concussion."

"I don't have a concussion."

She grinned. "When I tell people the story, you will."

He laughed and she grinned back at him.

It didn't take them long to realize that her nephew in question was his sister Ella's nephew through marriage, Quaid Kane-Nott, and they marvelled at the small world. Dani's sister Nikki was married to Ben and Henry's sister Ella was married to Ben's brother Spencer. Sometimes, it really was a small world.

"I don't know Blaise and Gabrielle very well," Henry said. "I remember seeing them around at a few family events at my aunt's house, but blimey… it's a small world."

"It is," Dani agreed.

When Henry told her that he was twenty-five, she frowned and wiggled her nose. "I'm twenty-seven."

"Older woman," he teased. "I like that."

The hot cocoa turned into dinner which turned into a few dates. Henry found her funny and smart and she wasn't afraid to say it like it is which he enjoyed. She gave him those butterflies that he hadn't felt since he first realized he liked girls and when she laughed, her eyes crinkled in the corners. It wasn't long before those few dates turned into more and when the paparazzi caught up with them having dinner in Luminescent Way, Henry woke up to his face splashed all over the front page of the Daily Prophet.

POTTER'S SON DATES HIDDEN PASSIONS SUPERSTAR, DANIELLA ZABINI!
COUPLE CAUGHT IN ROMANTIC DINNER IN LUMINESCENT WAY!
IS IT HENRY OR HUNTER SITTING WITH THE STAR?

Not only did that photo appear but an hour later another one did and Henry winced as he stared at the image on the cover of Witch Weekly that someone had managed to capture. It was of him slipping on the black ice, arms flailing before he fell flat on his back at Dani's feet.

POTTER FALLS AT ZABINI'S FEET!
IS LOVE IN THE AIR?

His mirror went off half a second later and he looked into his twin's face.

"So, I might have forgotten to mention she was that Daniella," Henry said.

Hunter grinned. "You might have also forgotten to mention how hilarious you look falling on your arse!"

"I couldn't exactly see it, Hunter."

"That's a shame because it is glorious! Look at how you slide here, arms going, panic in your face and then bam! Legs flip under you as you try to catch yourself and ooh, that looks like it hurt," Hunter commented. "Good thing your head's made of rock."

"How did Witch Weekly even get that photo?" Henry demanded.

"Well, when one throws themselves at the feet of a wireless superstar like Daniella Zabini, someone is going to notice," Hunter supplied.

"I did not throw myself at her feet."

"But it sure looks like you did."

"There was black ice!"

Hunter smirked as he began to read the article aloud: "One of the Potter twins was spotted in London with celebrity Daniella Zabini. That's one way to get a star's attention, but throwing yourself at their feet also comes across a bit desperate. Tap the photo three times to watch Potter's ploy in slow motion."

"Piss off," Henry grumbled as his twin laughed up roaringly.

"Sloane! Babe, come see this!"

"I hate you!" Henry said, closing the mirror to his brother's laughter.

His mother called next and when he opened the mirror it was to see both of his parents' faces squished together.

"Hi, Mum. Hi, Dad. Lovely morning, isn't it?"

"Henry, are you dating a wireless star?" Harry asked.

"Harry! We said we wouldn't pry!" Ginny hissed.

"Then why are we even calling him?"

Henry grinned. "Hi, parents, still here."

Harry rolled his eyes. "We know you're still there. So, what happened?"

Henry quickly explained how they met and Harry frowned.

"Zabini, eh?"

"Dad, are you going to complain about her being the spawn of Zabini like you always do to Scorpius?" Henry asked.

"I don't have as much of a problem with Zabini," Harry conceded. "He's a tosser and full of himself, but at least he's not a Malfoy."

"Your son is now a Malfoy, Harry," Ginny said. "You have three Malfoy grandchildren."

"Don't remind me," Harry muttered. "The traitor."

Henry snorted. Even though his brother Albus had decided to take Scorpius' surname when they married fourteen years ago, his father still wasn't over it. It wasn't that Albus had taken a different surname nor that he was gay, no it was because the man he'd fallen in love with was the son of someone who'd annoyed his father since they were kids. Henry found it highly entertaining and Harry and Draco still glowered at each other during family events.

"Dad, we've only just started seeing each other and she's famous so who even knows."

"You're famous too, Henry," Ginny said.

"And not just for falling on your arse," Harry said.

"Thanks, Dad. One good thing about having an identical twin is that the papers can never tell us apart," Henry said. "I'm sure that will blow over soon."

Harry chuckled. "Keep telling yourself that, Henry. Keep your head down and don't let the paparazzi ruin a good thing if you like this Daniella."

"Dani," Henry corrected. "And I do."

Dani apologized over the paper, but Henry told her it wasn't his first time either and she relaxed. Henry was less enthusiastic when his uncles made posters of the photo in slow motion and called it "The Henry: How To Catch A Wireless Star" revealing his identity to the press. The photos sold like hot cakes and after three people at work asked him to autograph it, he scowled.

"All right, all right, I fell on my arse! Let it go already!"

Dani had laughed herself silly when he told her. "Your uncles did what? Oh, Merlin!"

"Have I mentioned that my family is completely mad?"

Dani smiled. "I have to admit, that intrigues me even more."

They continued to see each other in secret. He met her older sister Maddie who was an advocatus for the ICW like their parents. She was living with her girlfriend, another advocatus named Melody St James.

Henry went to dinner at Blaise and Gabrielle's home in Sicily and met the rest of her family, ignoring Blaise's annoyed and deliberate stare as best as he could. He took Dani home to his family soon after and the more time he spent with her, the more he liked her. She was funny and witty, beautiful and talented.

They saw each other mostly in secret, trying to avoid the public eye as much as they could but after three months, the paparazzi caught sight of them and Henry woke in the morning to find his and Dani's photo splashed on the cover of Witch Weekly.

Dani made a soft moan as she stretched and rolled over in his bed. She turned to snuggle up to his chest and opened on eye.

"Owl post?"

"I think our secret's out."

Dani's eyes opened. "What do you mean?"

Henry held out the magazine with them on the cover. Someone had snapped a perfect photo of them going into Henry's flat last night. Their fingers tangled together and the moment where Henry pulled her close, pressing his lips to hers in a deep kiss that left nothing to the imagination.

"Well, that was definitely a hot kiss from what I remember," Dani teased, pressing a kiss to his bare chest. "It looks almost as good as it felt."

Henry's lips twitched. "Doesn't it bother you?"

Dani sighed and rested her chin on his flat stomach. "I signed up for this. I wanted to act. I wanted to get a chance to put on a show for people and this is one of the side effects of that. Some days it's brilliant. People admiring you, people wanting to know who you're wearing and what's going on. Other days it's… exhausting."

Henry brushed her long brown hair behind her ear. "My parents have always been in the spotlight. I mean… my dad is Harry Bloody Potter so of course people wanted to know everything about him. Over the years there's been photos of him and my mum together from being on the beach, surfing, shopping, eating at a pub, being at Quidditch matches, walking to the market… someone printed a photo of them almost every single day. Most were mundane, but some had more substance. Dad talking to one of his closest friends, my Uncle Neville, who owns Serendipity Sweets and Blooms with his wife. He's talking to Uncle Neville and they hug and suddenly my dad's cheating on my mum. My Uncle Theo calls my dad 'lover' for some reason I've never wanted to know and the papers print that they're having a torrid affair. My mum danced with Oliver Wood at my sister Lily's wedding to his son and the paper printed that my mum was cheating on my dad. My oldest brother took on the mantle of the title of Marquess of Somerset and now they follow him and his family around just as much. My picture's been in the paper since I was a kid."

Dani traced her finger over his stomach, finding a stray freckle here and there and tracing a line between them. She kissed a spot under his belly button before she spoke. "And you're not ready to put yourself in the number one slot."

"That's not what I said, Dani."

"It's what you meant," she whispered. "I get it, Henry. The press can be awful. They want to know everything."

"I'm just a healer," Henry replied. "I just want to help people."

Dani's brown eyes met his. "I understand." She kissed his stomach again. "Let's enjoy our morning together before we put an end to this."

Henry frowned and rolled them over, pinning her beneath him on the bed. "I didn't say that I wanted to end this."

"But you just said —"

"— That the press sucks," Henry agreed. "That I didn't sign up to have my private life splashed all over the tabloids, yeah."

Dani bit her bottom lip. "I love my job, Henry. I love getting to act. I love getting to play pretend in these amazing stories with other people. I love seeing people's reactions to them. The press comes with that. When I kiss someone, the press sees it."

Henry brushed his lips over hers. "I don't see them right now."

She slid her hands down his back, admiring the smooth skin. "Being with me means sacrificing your privacy."

"I don't care."

"You do care," Dani said, her eyes softening. "You just said your family's been in the press for years."

"They have," Henry said. "Good and the bad. Mum was a famous Quidditch star, my dad was called the Man Who Defeated Voldemort. Our family was always in the spotlight and we still are. Bloody hell, when Hunter and I turned twenty-one, Witch Weekly posted photos of me and my brothers alongside photos of my dad with details as to which of us lived up to the rumours of inheriting his supposed huge cock. Trust me, I've been on that side of it."

Dani chuckled, moving her hand over his thigh and around to cup him. "Are you saying all of you Potters are this well endowed?"

"I'm definitely the biggest," Henry said, his green eyes twinkling. "But that's not the point."

"No, the point is that I might have to dig up this article," she teased.

"No," Henry said, pinching her hip. "The point is that me being in the papers with you is worth it."

Dani's eyes widened and the look of awe in them had Henry knowing he'd made the right choice. There was something about her that he felt drawn to and he might not know where this was going. It might not be more than a few heated kisses caught on camera and even naughtier moments behind closed doors, but right now, right here with Dani in his arms, he knew it was exactly right.

"I like you, Daniella Zabini," Henry said.

"I kind of like you too, Henry Potter," she said, her hand sliding over his arse.

Henry smiled, his eyes meeting hers. "All right. Fuck the press then. We're doing this."

"We're doing this," she whispered with a smile.

Then she pulled his mouth down to hers and they didn't talk about the press again nor did they leave Henry's bed for many hours.

They stopped hiding it. Witch Weekly caught photos of them holding hands, kissing in St Mungo's, and having dinner together all over England. They went on double dates with Hunter and Sloane, spent time at art shows at Nikki's gallery, and even were caught out at a night club.

When Dani took him with her to a red carpet event, Henry couldn't believe that he was the one she'd chosen to come with her. She was so talented and amazing and he was proud as hell to be on her arm and to help promote her work. Dani had a part in another wireless show coming up and he went to the premiere to see her. When she kissed him as cameras flashed around him, he knew this was definitely something more. He fell head over heels in love with her and when he proposed after two years, she said yes and Witch Weekly caught their proposal on the front page.

HENRY POTTER PROPOSES!
DANIELLA SAYS YES!

Dani's father finding out through the paper wasn't ideal especially since Blaise Zabini was a tad overprotective, but Henry didn't care. The woman he loved had agreed to marry him and nothing made him happier.

They made plans to marry on the Zabini estate in Sicily on the fourteenth of February, 2049. Sicily was warm and beautiful and getting married on the day of love was just cheesy enough that Henry and Dani decided it had to be done.

Henry grinned at his father when he came to stand up behind him and he passed his father the handkerchief from his pocket. "For the ceremony."

"Brat," Harry said, snatching the handkerchief. "Maybe I won't cry for yours."

"Well, seven out of eight isn't great odds, Dad."

Harry chuckled. "Shut it."

Henry grinned and hugged his father. "I can't believe I'm marrying Dani, Dad. She's so out of my league."

Harry smiled. "No, she's not. You two are great together. I know you're both going to be very happy."

"I think so," Henry said. "We want to give you some more grandchildren."

"Good," Harry said with a smile. "Sloane's about ready to do that. She still has a month left and looks ready to pop."

"Harry, we've talked about this. As someone who's carried twins twice, the word pop is not appreciated," Ginny said.

Harry grinned. "Right, sorry, Gin."

Henry chuckled and embraced his mum tightly. "You look gorgeous, Mum."

"She really does," Harry said, admiring his wife.

Ginny let out a squeal when Harry slapped her arse.

Henry rolled his eyes. "Can you two please control yourselves until at least after dessert? Uncle Fred bet me that you'd sneak off to do some gross unspeakable things that parents should never do before dessert and I can't lose money on my wedding day!"

Harry chuckled. "We'll see what we can do."

They each hugged and kissed him again and soon it was time. He stood in the flowered gardens under a huge flowered arch and watched the most beautiful woman of his dreams walk up the aisle on Blaise's arm. He beamed at her every step of the way and when she stood in front of him, he took her hand.

"I love you."

"I love you, too," Dani said.

The minister walked them through their vows and their lips barely touched to seal the deal with a kiss when Hunter gasped from next to him. Henry turned in time for his twin to rush towards his very pregnant wife who told him she thought the babies were coming.

Henry rushed to his sister-in-law's aid and learned that the babies had indeed been coming all day.

"Sloane, you're fully dilated and you've got to push!"

"No!" Sloane cried out. "I can't! Not here! Not with you!"

Henry grimaced. "Not my first choice either, sweetheart, but I'm the best you've got."

They managed to move her to Blaise's office and get her onto the leather couch before Henry determined it was unsafe to move her further. Hunter held his wife's hand, his face pale in terror as Harry and Ginny paced back and forth in the study.

Ten minutes later, a little boy came into the world screaming at the top of his lungs. After a quick check, Henry assured them that he was doing well and then got to work, checking on Sloane for baby number two. Baby number two was a bit slower and didn't decide to make an appearance for another thirty minutes, but their little girl came into the world soon after. She was silent and a little blue, making Hunter's eyes wide in panic, but Henry checked her out and got her moving and when she made her first cry, Harry gripped his son's shoulder in tears.

"You did it, son. Fuck, Henry, that was beautiful!"

Henry left his brother and wife alone and went to clean himself up. His wedding suit was ruined, but he was able to borrow a suit from his new father-in-law. He made it back down into the gardens in time for photos and pulled his wife close for a kiss.

"Sorry about that."

Dani laughed. "I married a healer and on our wedding day you went and proved to me how amazing you are."

Henry grinned. "Yeah, I guess I did."

Hunter returned in time for photos, since he was the best man, and then he urged Henry and Dani to come to the study to see Sloane and the babies before dinner.

"Henry, Dani, I'd like for you to meet Simon Hunter and Shay Cedrella Potter."

"What? I deliver them on my wedding day and don't even get naming rights?" Henry teased.

Hunter elbowed him. "Nah, you get godfather status for both of them."

Henry's eyes widened. "Really… what about Colten?"

"He's not my twin," Hunter said. "And he didn't deliver them on his wedding day for me. What do you say, Henry? Will you be the godfather to Simon and Shay?"

Henry blinked at his sister-in-law's beaming smile and nodded. "I'd be honoured."

"And you'll be godmother, Dani," Sloane asked, making Dani's eyes widen.

"Me?"

"Well, it is your day after all that Hunter and I kind of ruined."

Dani smiled. "You didn't ruin a single thing and I would be so pleased to be a godmother to both Simon and Shay."

Henry put his arm around his wife with a smile and beamed at his brother. "It looks like it's not only the happiest day of just my life, is it?"

Hunter grinned. "Have to keep the chaos going somehow, Henry."

They both grinned at each other and Dani snuck her hand in his.

"Come on, dinner's going to be served."

Henry smiled at his wife and thought this was the beginning of the rest of his life.

Henry and Dani welcomed their first son, Cameron Blaise, in January of 2052. Aidan Hunter arrived three years after that before Jameson Henry came another three years later. Then in August of 2060, they had their first and only daughter whom they named Emilia Ginevra and they all lived happily ever after…

~ Final Epilogue ~

25th December 2061…

Sirius wrapped his arm around his wife's shoulders, pressing his lips to her temple, a big smile on his face. He planned to spend the day at Clevedon Court with his grandson, James and James' wife, Hadley, to celebrate the holiday. Everyone was invited, Potters and Weasleys and Lupins and Blacks alike, something they did only every five years now that the family had grown so much.

Zee rested her head against his arm with a soft smile. "Best present ever, isn't it, Siri?"

"It really is, babe," Sirius said.

He'd recently turned one hundred and two last month and now as he looked over at his godson, the man he'd raised as his first born son, pride and love swamped him. Harry was eighty-one years old. His black hair had turned silver with white streaks, still messy and unruly on the top of his head, and his short stubble beard was completely silver with only flecks of white. He still wore his round glasses perched on his nose as his green eyes were lit up in awe as he stared down at the baby girl that his youngest son, Hunter, had just passed him.

Sirius took in the faded lightning bolt scar that struck through his eyebrow, the one on his cheek from the war, and the weathered lines on his face that told a story of the life he'd lived. There were more scars over the years, both internal and external, but the man that stood before him now was a man who had lived his life well. Harry was officially retired from the Ministry of Magic now and had been since he turned seventy-five, but his retirement had only lasted two years before he'd decided to guest lecture at Hogwarts in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom when he was asked by Remus to consider it. He also still worked as a consultant for the Auror Academy and still held his seat in the Wizengamot.

Harry was still wildly handsome, strong, and brave, and when he looked down at his wife of over sixty years, there was nothing but love, admiration, and still hints of lust in his gaze. Sirius still remembered the day that Harry had come from home from the park at five years old and told him that a redhead had kissed him right on his mouth.

"Her name is Ginny. She hid her brother's journal in the sandbox. She has red hair and brown eyes and she hugged me and kissed me right on my mouth!"

Sirius chuckled. "First kiss already and from a redhead at that."

Remus rolled his eyes. "Don't start, Padfoot."

Looking at them now, Sirius thought it must have been kismet for them to be together. They were still wildly and madly in love and just last week, Mina had been complaining about popping by to visit her big brother and found him and his wife having sex on the sofa. Sixty-six years together, sixty-one years married and they were still completely mad about each other.

Sirius glanced over at where his best friend and brother was leaning on his cane, a soft smile on his face. Remus was one hundred and one and his hair was completely white. He was still working as Headmaster of Hogwarts, one of the longest running Headmasters since the school had been open, over sixty years. He started using a cane five years ago, his werewolf transformations having taken its toll on his body, but he was happier than ever, and the best headmaster since Dumbledore. His whisky coloured eyes watched Harry with the baby with a wide smile. That smile only reminded Sirius that seventy-six years ago, Sirius been given a second chance to be his friend because Minerva McGonagall had fought for him — and it hadn't been the first time around that she'd done so.

That second chance had not only reaffirmed his friendship with Remus but brought him to his godson. The three of them had become a family; two best friends raising their other best friend's son with nothing but love, pranks, and trust. They'd sent him off to Hogwarts, knowing that the man who'd tried to end his life as a baby would come for him again; knowing that the war wasn't over. He'd watched his best friend fall in love and fight against those feelings in his stubborn nature and then Sirius had fallen himself, tumbled head over heels for a woman with a black panther and a sharp mouth.

He looked at her now, her long curls were shorter now, just to her shoulders and were all silver. At ninety-six, Sirius still thought she was the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen. Falling for her, watching her fall for Harry, and having her in their life was something he would always cherish. She'd been mother and friend and then she'd given him two children of their own to love as well. His eyes fell on where his cousin Tonks was holding Remus' hand. She was eighty-nine and wore her hair bright purple with white highlights, still short and curly. It was hard to believe that time had passed so quickly sometimes.

Sirius turned his attention back to the man before him, watching as he stared down at the newest addition to the Potter family. She was only twenty-two minutes old and the look in his son's eyes told Sirius that he was very happy to once again be a grandpa.

"Hi, beautiful girl," Harry cooed, a big smile on his face.

Ginny, with her long white hair and big brown eyes, put her hand in the back pocket of Harry's jeans, the other on his hip as she looked down at their newest granddaughter. The yellow gold ring on her finger sparkled in the light, a beautiful split shank setting with glistening round diamonds studded around the prong setting with a curve that held the large ruby in the centre. It fit against her ruby, yellow gold, and diamond wedding band as if it had been made for sit and engraved on the inside of the narrow band was their wedding day with the letters h&g.

Sirius still smiled when he remembered how Harry had come to him and asked him and Remus to go ring shopping with him all those years ago.

"I know she said she doesn't need one," Harry said. "I know she's right and she doesn't and I agree with her decision to give James the ring. It's a Potter heirloom and it should go to him to give to Hadley, but I want Ginny to still have her own ring too."

Remus smiled. "Let's find her the perfect wedding ring, then."

It had taken them weeks before Harry finally decided on one he liked and he'd surprised Ginny with it at a family dinner in the middle of the Clevedon Court. Sirius still remembered how her eyes had widened in surprise when Harry had fallen down to one knee and held the ring out.

"Ginny Potter, will you be my wife?"

She'd laughed and kissed him, letting him slide the ring onto her finger before she'd kissed him again. Their kiss had gone on long enough that Henry and Hunter had thrown dinner rolls at them and made them laugh. Sirius loved seeing that even after all these years, the two of them were still so in love.

He turned his attention back to Harry as he stared down at his newest granddaughter in complete adoration.

"Hunter, she's beautiful. A true Christmas surprise. Are you going to tell us her name?"

Sirius' heart swelled with joy as he watched them. His eyes moved over to Hunter, Harry and Ginny's youngest son and Sirius' youngest grandson, as he stood next to his wife, Sloane. They'd been married for fifteen years already and this little girl had been a surprise; the last grandchild to be born to the Potters.

Their fraternal twins, Simon and Shay, had been born on Hunter's twin brother Henry's wedding day. Their son Colin Fleamont had arrived in 2053 before Beckett James came in 2055 and then Parker Harry in September of 2059. They had declared they were done having kids, but this little girl (in true Potter fashion) had been a surprise.

"We were going to call her Sharon after Sloane's mum, but we changed our minds," Hunter said, reminding Sirius of Harry when he was that age.

Hunter and his identical twin brother Henry looked a lot like their father with their dark hair and green eyes, but sometimes when Sirius looked at his two youngest grandsons, he was sent back in time to his own memories of a young boy with messy black and hazel eyes.

"I'm James."

"Sirius," he said.

One introduction had changed his whole life and only a few months later…

James gave him a bright smile and grabbed his wand, cutting himself across his palm.

"With this, I declare us blood brothers. Always to be there for each other no matter what."

He held his hand out and Sirius stared at him.

Then Sirius used his own wand to cut his hand and they slapped palms, their blood mingling. "Always."

"Sharon isn't the right name for her," Sloane agreed, pulling Sirius out of his memories. "We ended up going a different route entirely and decided on Noelle."

Ginny's smile widened. "Noelle… that's beautiful! Our little Christmas baby."

Hunter nodded. "Noelle Ginevra."

Ginny's eyes filled up with tears. "Oh!"

Harry turned back to the baby girl in his arms, brushing his thumb over her tiny lips. "Hi, Noelle. I'm your Grandpa."

Noelle stared up at him, her soft little lips parting and Harry's eyes filled with love. Sirius watched as Ginny leaned into him, her head resting against his shoulder, a soft smile on her face.

Sirius squeezed Zee's hip before he gestured to Remus and the two of them walked over to stand on either side of Harry with the baby in his arms.

Sirius leaned in and rested his chin on Harry's shoulder. "You did damn good, Grandpa Prongslet."

"Very good," Remus agreed as Ginny moved back to let the men stand on either side of Harry.

The door opened and they all turned in time to see Nash Wood, the eldest son and first grandchild of Harry and Ginny step inside. Sirius' eyes widened when he saw him holding two bundles in green blankets in his arms.

"Grandma, Grandpa," Nash said, his green eyes twinkling under his shaggy brown hair. "Uncle Hunter and Aunt Sloane were busy so we didn't want to disturb you, but Nixie and I wanted to introduce you to another Christmas surprise."

Ginny's eyes widened in delight. "Twins!"

Nash grinned. He had his father's shaggy brown hair and his mother's dark brown eyes. Nash and Noah had finally given their famous Quidditch grandparents what they wanted. The twins played professional Quidditch for the Appleby Arrows. Nash as a Keeper and Noah as a Chaser. Sirius remembered how Oliver Wood had cried the day his grandsons had signed their contracts and muttered something about Quidditch legacies. Now, Nash was married — with twins!

"We told Mum and Dad, but we wanted to keep it a surprise from the rest of the family."

He walked over to where Harry was holding Noelle between Sirius and Remus and passed one baby to Sirius and the other to Remus, a soft smile on his face.

"Padpa, Moopa, Grandpa, I'd like for you to meet Sirius Harry Wood and Remus Oakley Wood."

Sirius' eyes filled with tears as he looked at his great-grandson and down at his great-great-grandson in his arms. "You… you named them after us?"

Nash smiled. "Nixie and I decided that naming our boys after the best men we know was the right choice. Padpa, Moopa, you two raised Grandpa and I just hope that my boys will grow up to be even half the men you are."

"Nash," Harry whispered, tears rolling down his cheeks. "I'm a great-grandpa?"

Nash chuckled. "Happy Christmas, Grandpa."

It didn't take long for chaos to break out as Zee, Tonks, Ginny, Hunter, and Sloane all moved to meet Nash's children. Sirius kept his hold on little Sirius, a soft smile on his face.

"Your daughter's a grandma, Harry," he whispered.

Harry's gentle laugh had him smiling back. "Yeah, yeah she is. Two new Marauders of a new generation," Harry said. "I know they're going to grow up to do great things."

Remus smiled, holding little Remus in the crook of his arm. "Seventy-six years ago, we celebrated our first Christmas with you at Black Cottage and now we get to celebrate with you today as you welcome your new granddaughter and your new great-grandsons into the world. I can't imagine a better day."

Harry turned his head to smile at them and Sirius put a hand on Harry's arm as Remus touched his other one. "Thank you for taking me in and raising me as your own. You two are the best dads a bloke could ask for and it's because of you that I was able to grow up and have this amazing family today."

Remus' smiled and exchanged a look with Sirius. "We are so proud of you, Little Prongs."

"Not so little anymore," Sirius teased. "We're old men now."

Harry gave him a half smile and Sirius knew his son was thinking the same thing he was: Seventy-six years later and they were all happily married.

Sirius was the proud father of three, the proud Padpa of nineteen, the proud great-Padpa of fifty-four, and now the proud great-great-Padpa of two.

Remus was the proud father of two, the proud Moopa of eleven, the proud great-Moopa of forty-one, and now the proud great-great-Moopa of two.

Harry was the proud father of eight, the proud grandfather of thirty-five, and now the proud great-grandfather of two.

It was hard to believe that it all started all those years ago when two best friends took in their other best friend's son to raise as their own.

Two men with no plans of becoming a father, taking in this little boy and giving him a home and a life.

Two best friends who came together to raise him and love him.

Two best friends who found that family doesn't always mean blood and that sometimes it takes more than one chance to get things right.

Now the three men stood together, the little boy an old man himself, holding a baby in his arms; Sirius swore that he could feel the gaze of those he'd lost looking down on them from above and smiling just as big.

All was well.

THE END!

End Author's Notes:

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to follow me in this story-writing journey for the last six years. It means so much to me.

I have no plans of writing anything else in the near future, as I do very much need a break, but who knows what the future will bring. These epilogues, while being very much a conclusion, still leave lots of holes for me to jump back in if I ever want to (old and next generation). It leaves the world of Kismet open to me in the future while still showing you that that there was a happily ever after for these characters (which is very much deserved).

Thank you again for all of the continuous support and love I have received.

Please remember to drop a review — I love to read to them.

THANK YOU!

Love always, 😘
