CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE:
Kismet Trilogy Epilogues:
The One With Hinny's Epilogue,
Part Two

7th April 2004…

Harry couldn't stop smiling. In fact, he thought if it was possible for his smile to crack his face, it would have been shattered by now. He was holding his son in his arms. His son. He and Ginny had actually made a mini human and he couldn't take his eyes off of him.

James Sirius Potter had been born on the fifth of April and he'd been a bit of a surprise. Ginny had been feeling poorly a few days earlier, but hadn't realized she'd been having contractions as early as she should have. They'd been having Sunday dinner at the Burrow when her water had broken as she stood up from the table to use the loo.

Harry had never been so grateful to have the support of every single Weasley there to help him get her home and to get Padma to Clevedon Court to deliver. James had been born eight hours later just before midnight at three kilograms even and now three days past, Harry still couldn't stop staring at him.

The head of dark hair, impossibly soft and inky; the round lips, the chubby cheeks, the half-opened eyes… he was exquisite. He was positive that no other baby had ever been this small or this perfect.

Ginny came into the nursery in her robe, her hair wet from her shower and her eyes softened. "Did he wake up?"

"Yes," Harry said. "He's perfect, Gin."

Ginny smiled as she moved across the room to sit sideways on her husband's lap. She placed her hand on the small of James' back where he rested against Harry's bare chest.

"He really is. We did so good."

"You did amazing," Harry corrected. "I only had to help with the fun part."

Ginny chuckled. "True, but you did that part impeccably well from what I recall."

He grinned. "I can't stop looking at him."

"Me neither," she admitted. "Not to mention, he's the first grandson. If Mum says that one more time, I might scream."

"She's excited. For a woman who wanted a daughter, I don't think she expected so many granddaughters. I'm kind of chuffed we were the first to give her a boy."

"Me too," Ginny replied. "Only daughter has the first boy; kind of poetic, I think."

Harry used his free hand to cup her chin, pulling her close for a kiss. "I love you and I love James Sirius Potter. Thank you for our son."

Ginny kissed him again. "I love you too. Now, uou need to go shower and dress. Ron sent word that some of your Auror friends were popping by for a look at little Jamie."

"I'm all right," Harry told her. "We're perfect. You can go and finish dressing first."

Ginny smiled as she stood up, turning to take in her husband in nothing but grey sweats and a baby on his chest and she sighed. "Sometimes, Potter, I swear I could get pregnant just by watching you hold a baby."

Harry grinned. "I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to making a second one of these down the road, but I draw the line at not getting to do the making part."

She laughed and bent down to kiss James' cheek before pecking her husband's lips. "Deal."

Harry watched her leave before he turned his attention back to his son with a soft smile. He was definitely perfect.

He and Ginny had turned the second bedroom suite next to the master bedroom into the nursery. It had it's own en suite bathroom that they could use to bathe James when needed and for Ginny to clean up in. They'd tossed over different ideas of magical creatures, horses, and even something cute like an enchanted forest and instead voted to make it a Quidditch nursery. Since they hadn't found out whether they were having a boy or a girl, they decided to do it green and gold in Holyhead Harpy attire.

The walls were painted a light gold, with one dark green wall where the cot was set up. Broomsticks of all kinds painted the walls and zoomed around with the right charm. The mobile above the cot was made of golden snitches and Harry had put James' name on the wall in big white block letters.

But for now, he slept in a cradle by their bed as neither of them were ready to let him go too far just yet.

Thirty minutes later, they were both showered and dressed and Ginny was feeding James from her breast while Harry watched in complete fascination.

"Stop staring at me," she said. her lips twitching.

"Can't," he teased. "You're so bloody gorgeous."

"Right. Me, the cow covered in stretch-marks with a baby at my breast."

"Beautiful," he corrected. "Exquisite."

Ginny blushed and when he didn't look away, her lips curved. James had barely finished eating before there was a knock at the door.

Harry kissed his wife's forehead before he headed out and greeted Higgins and Baxter with a smile. "Hi! Come in!"

"I think Potter's the one glowing, Rex," Baxter teased.

Higgins chuckled. "He does look pretty happy." He passed Harry the large gift bag. "This is from the bullpen, mate. Congrats."

Harry accepted the gift with a smile before he led them into living room. He called for Basil, who arrived to bring them tea and biscuits just as Ginny came downstairs with James.

"Here he is!" Harry exclaimed in excitement, jumping to his feet. He took the baby from Ginny, kissing her as he did. "Lads, I'd like for you to meet our son, James Sirius Potter."

"James?" Higgins asked, his eyebrow rising. "That's not what you told me his name would be."

"Oh?" Ginny asked, taking a seat next to her husband on the sofa and reaching for a chocolate biscuit. "And what may I ask did Harry say our son's name was to be?"

"Well, I recall us having a certain conversation way back when he was an A1 about souls with an old professor and Potter said that if what Dumbledore told him was true about souls and if he could actually give Sirius Black back his —"

"Fuck me," Harry interrupted as the memory returned. "I said I'd name my kid after him!"

"Dumbledore?" Ginny asked.

Harry nodded. "Yes."

"And by my recollection," Higgins continued. "It did work. Sirius Black is alive and well, so where's little baby Albus, Potter?"

Ginny chuckled. "Well, this is James Sirius, but I do like the name Albus. It means bright and I rather like the old fashioned sound of it. We'll revisit it with baby number two."

Baxter laughed. "This niblet's not even a week old and you're already talking about a second baby?"

"We want a million of them," Harry said, kissing his son's cheek. "Or four."

"Four," Ginny agreed. "Not a million."

Harry just smiled at her and Ginny sighed. Bloody hell, she thought, if this tosser wanted a million children, she'd probably cave. She was pretty sure her ovaries were already working overtime just watching him hold their son so tenderly.

After more visits from Robards, Sully, Savage, Proudfoot, and the entire Harpies Quidditch team, Harry and Ginny were tired and anxious to be alone with their son.

Once they placed James in his cot that evening, Harry wrapped his arms around Ginny from behind, snuggling his face into the crook of her neck.

"We're definitely rocking this whole parenting thing."

Ginny chuckled. "I mean, it's only been three days, Potter. Pretty sure this is the easy part. In a few more weeks, we might have more to say on the subject."

Harry's hands slid over her still round stomach, massaging it gently before he brushed the underside of her breasts. "I miss playing with your tits."

She laughed and turned in his arms, taking his hand to lead him away from James and out onto the balcony outside their master bedroom. Harry kissed her neck, sucking on the skin hard enough to leave a bruise. Then he unzipped the Holyhead Harpies hoodie she was wearing and sighed at the sight of her in her white nursing bra.

"Exquisite."

She laughed. "You are so full of it, Potter. Now stop teasing me. We can't have sex yet."

"I'm just admiring my gorgeous wife," Harry insisted. "And maybe fantasizing about all of the things I want to do to her when I can again."

"Oh, are you then?"

He nodded. "Yup, definitely doing that."

"Doing what exactly?"

"You. Right here, bent over the railing."

Ginny's cheeks heated. "It's been a good while since we've done that."

"Oh, I know," Harry said. "I'll also lay you right here and make it soft and slow. Then you can ride me on that lounge chair."

"Harry…"

"And fuck me, I can't wait until you can sit on my face again."

"You are an absolutely terrible husband. I take back every nice thing I've ever said about you."

He grinned. "I'm starting a countdown."

She laughed, slipping her hands around his waist and standing on her toes to kiss his lips. "You do that. How is that you even remotely want me after watching me give birth?"

"Well, I admit… that was a bit terrifying," Harry said, shuddering at the memory. "But that was then and this is now."

Ginny chuckled. They couldn't have sex for six more weeks and if she was honest, as much as she loved him, she certainly wasn't ready to jump back in anytime soon. But the look of complete adoration on his face was enough for her to know that she wasn't going to make him wait just because she had to.

"How about right now I do something that we both want?"

Harry lifted an eyebrow and her fingers teased the waistband of his Holyhead Harpies sweats before she pushed them down. They fell to his ankles and she took him in her hand, giving him a slow stroke.

"Bloody hell," he moaned, his hips arching towards her hand.

Ginny slowly sank to her knees and licked her lips. "Just because I can't have sex yet doesn't mean you can't."

Then her hot, wet tongue teased his head and his eyes crossed.

"Gin…"

She smiled and opened her mouth. "Don't hold back, Harry."

Then she took him down her throat and he made a strangled sound that made her moan around his cock.

Harry gripped her hair as he began to rock his hips towards her automatically. She slid one hand between his legs to tease his balls while the other one teased the crease of his arse. Harry moaned wantonly and gave her what she wanted as he shagged her mouth.

When he started to come, she moaned almost as loud as he did and it was enough to send him hurtling over the edge into blindness. She cleaned him with her tongue before she pulled his sweats back up, licking her lips.

"Now, be a good husband and go get me some water," Ginny said, her voice hoarse.

Harry grinned. "I fucking love you, Ginny Potter."

Ginny grinned right back at him. "I know."

Then she turned on her her heel, zipping her hoodie up as she went back into the bedroom.

~ KE: Hinny II ~

Harry took four weeks of paternity leave to spend with Ginny and his new son. He spent every moment with them, even waking up with his wife to watch her feed him. By the end of the second week, Ginny was filling bottles with her milk so that Harry could take turns feeding him and Harry thought it was the most incredible thing in the world.

He'd fed babies before, the first being Mina and Leo, but this… feeding his own son was the most amazing feeling in the world. He relished in it and he thought that this happiness, this moment of pure love he felt, was exactly what he needed.

Having Sirius and Zee stop by with Mina and Leo and letting them hold the baby and then Remus and Tonks with Teddy doing the same… Harry was positive his heart had never felt so full.

The last six months had been a lot to deal with. After arresting Eman Hutchins, Higgins and Baxter interrogated him in his place as Tonks thought Ron and Harry were too close to the case. He'd learned that Hutchins hadn't even been made aware of Ginny until Harry had showed him her picture the first day he'd met him during welcome week. Something had struck a chord with Hutchins that day and he began following the Harpies season. Then Ginny had come by the Ministry to have lunch with Harry and Harry had introduced them and that was the beginning of Hutchins' obsession.

"It's not your fault, Harry," Auden McCraight told him when Harry told Auden about the case. "Stalkers become obsessed with someone they see as an object of their affection. Just because you're the one who inadvertently put Ginny on his radar, doesn't make you responsible. You didn't only show Hutchins the photo."

"No," Harry said. "All of the new Aurors were there and I was talking about our new dogs."

"And you introduced him to her at the Ministry when she came to visit you as it would have been rude not to, am I right?"

Harry reluctantly agreed.

He did know that logically Hutchins' obsession with Ginny had nothing to do with Harry or even Ginny for that matter, but the fact that the man had started attending all of her matches and wallpapered an entire room of his flat in photos of her was a little unnerving. The bedroom he'd prepared for Ginny had more photos on the wall, all of them photos of Ginny and Harry and every photo of Harry had Eman's face imposed over top of it. It had been extremely disturbing. Harry was thankful that Ginny had been brave enough to stop him before he'd hurt her or their unborn child at the time.

Four months later, Harry was still having the odd bad dream where Hutchins hurt Ginny and he couldn't stop him, but waking up to his wife soothing him always helped. Talking to McCraight helped even more.

After almost five years in therapy, Harry was happy to say that he didn't need to talk to him so often anymore. Unless he stumbled across a particularly difficult case (like the one with Hutchins), he usually checked in with McCraight once every two months. It worked for him and McCraight claimed that he'd made strides in leaps and bounds when it came to his mental health.

Harry agreed with him because he felt great. Life was great and Harry couldn't ask for much else.

James was the apple of everyone's eye and despite Sirius claims that he was too young and sexy to be a grandfather, he'd been the first one to jump in and hold James for the first time after Harry and Ginny.

"Give me my god-grandson," he growled, cradling the baby in his arms. "Hi, Jamie. I'm your way too young and sexy to actually be called Grandpa, god-grandfather."

Harry snorted. "Yeah, that's not a real thing, Uncle Siri."

Zee leaned over Sirius' arm to peek at the baby. "He's beautiful. Look at that sweet little face. Do you think that he'll have green eyes like Harry?"

"I hope so," Ginny said, smiling at her husband. "But I think they might be brown. So, did you two decide what you want to be called yet?"

"What do you mean?" Sirius asked.

"Well, my mum is Gamma to all of the grand babies so, what are you two going to be?"

Zee looked pensive. "I didn't really think about it… I think I'm still reeling from the idea that I have two seven-year-olds at home and am now a grandmother at forty."

"Not forty for five more days," Sirius corrected.

"I'm basically forty," Zee said, giving her husband a look.

"Grandmama?" Harry suggested.

Zee wrinkled her nose. "Makes me sound old. No offence to my mother. Besides, she'll want to be Grandmama."

Harry laughed. "Granny?"

"Goodness no!"

"Zeema," Ginny said. "Like Zee and Mama. It's a play on your name and doesn't sound old at all."

Sirius turned to smile at his wife. "Zeema, I like that."

Zee smiled and stood on her toes to kiss her husband. "And you'll be Padpa like Padfoot and Papa."

Sirius grinned. "Bloody hell, I'm a fucking grandfather."

Harry laughed as Remus and Tonks came to greet the baby. "Give Uncle Rem the baby, Padpa."

"Padpa?" Remus asked, his lips twitching. "I suppose it's better than Gramps, Padfoot."

Sirius gave Remus a look. "I told you. I'm way too young and sexy to be gramps. Padpa sounds… less old."

Remus chuckled as he and Tonks cooed over the baby, both deciding that they were going to be Uncle Remus and Auntie Tonks.

"Can't they call you Auntie Dora?" Harry asked.

"Tonks," she insisted, sticking her tongue out at him. "Don't make me fight you."

"Hey, if I have to be Padpa, then Moony can at least be Gramps. He already has the silver hair to pull it off."

"Fuck you, Padfoot," Remus said. "I'm not being called Gramps."

"Guncle Moony," Harry said. "Short for great uncle."

Remus grimaced. "Godric, I think that might be worse than Gramps. I'm a great uncle?"

Tonks snorted. "It matches the silver wolf look you're sporting, Remus."

"Hey, if I'm a great uncle, that makes you a great aunt."

Tonks wrinkled her nose so hard it turned into a pig snout. "No bloody way!"

Ginny smiled. "How about we stick to the basics then? Remus, you can be Uncle Moony and Tonks, you can be Auntie Tonks. Deal?"

"Wait, so only I have to be a grandpa?" Sirius demanded. "How's that fair?"

Remus squeezed Sirius' shoulder with a smirk. "Only because you're so much older than me, Sirius."

Sirius scowled. "I'm only four months older than you, arsehole!" James yawned in his arms and his eyes softened. "Fine. But for the record, I'm going to be the best bloody Padpa there ever was."

Harry grinned and smiled at his family, his heart full of love. "I never doubted that for a second, Uncle Siri."

~ KE: Hinny II ~

31st July, 2004…

When Harry came home from work the day of his twenty-fourth birthday, he was anxious to get out of his work clothes and relax. He was supposed to have started his week off yesterday, but he and Ron had been wrapping up a case. They had finally closed this difficult case that they'd been working on for over a month involving a mysterious figure in a white robe hexing people in the street out of the blue. The person had been choosing people at random and had put eight people in hospital before they'd eventually caught him. It turned out the bloke had become addicted to a pain potion laced with an opium and was having some kind of mental break. He'd been taken to the hospital wing of Azkaban in hopes of detoxing and getting the help he needed before anything could even go to trial.

The house was quiet when he walked in so he ran up the stairs to the master bedroom to change thinking that he'd look for his wife and son when he was done. The last thing that he expected to find was his wife lying on their bed in a sexy black negligee holding a vibrator between her legs.

"Gin…" he breathed, his eyes widening as he grabbed the door jamb in surprise.

Ginny turned to look at him before she licked her bottom lip. Harry's eyes trailed over the tiny black straps holding up a low cut transparent black negligee with black lace flowers sprinkled around it. It was so short, it barely covered the curve of her bottom and his eyes stayed on the big round pink nipples that he could see as clear as day. His wife had worked hard to lose the baby weight over the last three months and she was almost back at what she was before the baby, though to his happiness, her breasts were still large as she was still nursing. She was going to be starting training with the Harpies again in a few weeks and he knew that she needed to be in top shape, but he thought she'd never stopped being gorgeous. Seeing her spread out like this, he wanted to dive in and kiss and lick every inch of her. When his eyes finally met hers, she crooked a finger at him.

Harry practically ran to the bed, his eyes darting down between her legs and watching her pleasure herself.

"Fuck, you always have the best birthday presents," he whispered, kissing her.

Ginny put the toy on the bed next to her and tugged him down on top of her. "Mum has Jamie for the night. She's been begging and well, I thought since it was your birthday we could spend a night alone together."

Harry kissed her deeply in response as she unbuttoned his shirt and dragged it down his arms. "Best birthday ever."

Ginny chuckled and lightly tugged on his nipple. "Well, I had another idea…"

Harry hovered over her, his leg falling between hers as he nibbled at her throat. "So far I'm loving everything that's coming out of your mouth. Go on."

She placed a hand flat against his bare chest and pushed him back a bit. "I've been thinking about something."

Harry's brow furrowed as he brushed a finger over her lips. "What's that?"

"Well," she began, giving him a nervous look. "We've talked about it a few times in passing and I know I've never… I think I want to try it. Tonight. I'm ready."

Harry's mouth instantly went dry. Did she mean…? His finger slipped between her lips and he let out a slow breath as she sucked on it. "Really?"

Ginny nodded, letting go of his finger. "Uh-huh. I um, I bought something to help."

Harry raised his eyebrow. "You did?"

"Luna and I went shopping," Ginny began. "When she was down in June and I've um, I've been practicing since then and I… I think I'm ready."

Harry's dry mouth was suddenly so dry he could barely swallow as his beautiful wife rolled over and revealed the pretty red ruby heart at the end of the plug that was inside of her bottom.

"Bloody fucking hell," he whispered in awe.

"I've been working up to this one," Ginny admitted. "Wearing different sizes after you leave for work and leaving them in longer and longer until I got used to the feel of it."

Harry brushed his lips over her bottom, kissing each cheek tenderly. "You are the best wife in the whole bloody world."

Ginny snuck a look over her shoulder, her cheeks glowing. "So, does that mean you want to play?"

Harry moved to his knees to undo his trousers, shoving them and his boxer briefs off so quickly that she laughed. He tossed his socks over the bed with them before he rolled her onto her side and kissed the swell of her breasts over the black lace and then licked her nipple tenderly through the negligee.

"This okay?" he asked.

He knew that sometimes her breasts were sore from nursing and he didn't want to hurt her. His favourite "chore" at the moment was carefully rubbing lotion onto her nipples and breasts after every feeding. He loved being able to do something to take care of her, even if it was only a little thing.

"I'm good," she told him. "I filled some bottles twenty minutes before you came home and sent them with Basil to the Burrow."

Harry nodded and bent down to lick her nipple again, kissing her breasts tenderly. He knew he couldn't give them as much attention as he wanted, but a little teasing was allowed. His hard cock brushed against her thigh and he reached over to grab the vibrator from the bed, putting it back between her legs.

She trembled when he pressed it against her clit.

"I thought you only used this when one of us was away for the night," he teased, gliding it in a slow circle over her.

"Mmm, yes, but… oh, fuck… I needed… Harry!"

He grinned, taking the vibrator away as he kissed his way down her stomach. He lifted the negligee half an inch and buried his tongue inside of her. Her hips arched up to meet him in glee and he worked her happily. She came in moments, crying out his name and he kissed his way up her stomach to her lips. They kissed for a long moment and then he wiped his mouth on the pillowcase next to her head and rolled her over.

"All right, let me see my present."

Ginny smiled at him over her shoulder. "Does it look good?"

"Does it look… bloody hell, Gin. This is the hottest thing I've ever seen."

"I chose the ruby heart because it matches our rings."

Harry made a sound of agreement before he lowered his head to tenderly kiss her cheeks. He kissed down one side and then the other before he wrapped his fingers around the heart-shaped ruby and gently pulled it out a few centimetres before pushing it back into her. She made a soft moaning sound so he kept it up, watching in amazement as her arse sucked the plug in and out of her. He kept it up, shagging her with the toy as she moaned beneath him and then he used his other hand to slide two fingers deep inside of her.

Ginny moaned. "Oh!"

"Good?" he asked as he worked the plug in and out of her in the same speed as his fingers.

"Oh, goddess," she gasped.

Harry kept it up, occasionally brushing his fingers over to her clit to tease before he kept pumping them into her. Then his right hand pulled the plug out entirely and he took his fill of her pretty pink hole. Ginny kept riding his fingers and Harry licked his lips before he leaned in and slid his tongue into her hole.

"Harry!"

He twirled his tongue in a slow counter clockwise motion, rimming her with pleasure as his fingers stayed deep inside of her, pumping away. The more he rimmed her, the more he felt her tremble and when he finally pulled his tongue away she was shagging herself wantonly on his fingers.

Harry held up his free hand and a bottle of lubricant flew into it. He wandlessly popped open the bottle and covered his fingers before inserting one inside of her while his other hand continued to work her. It wasn't long before he was three fingers deep with both hands and Ginny was crying out desperately, begging him for more.

Harry removed his hands from her, stretching his cramping fingers. He did a quick cleansing charm and then he pulled her up to her knees and lined himself up with her arse.

"Are you sure, Gin? I'm bigger than that toy."

"I'm ready," she said, a little breathless. "I promise."

He kissed the back of her neck. "If you need me to stop—"

"— I won't," she interrupted. "I want this. I want you. Please."

Harry nodded, kissing her softly and then he reached down to grip himself firmly. His cock was already leaking in anticipation as he carefully lined himself up. He pushed in slowly, gasping at the pressure around his head.

"Fuck… it's so tight."

"Mm," she said, pursing her lips together.

"Relax," he whispered, trailing his fingers over her spine. "I won't hurt you."

Ginny let out a slow breath. "Keep going."

He pressed in a little more and waited.

Ginny loved her husband. She loved him more than anything in the whole world. The thing she loved most about him was the one thing that she also hated the most.

He was too fucking patient.

She knew that this was going to hurt a bit, she was prepared for it. Harry was very well endowed which is why she'd spent the last few weeks preparing herself, stretching herself for him so that they could experience this moment together. He pressed in a little more and she bit her lip at the burn, but when he stopped again, she took matters into her own hands.

She clutched the bedsheets under her palms and pushed her arse back until he slid into her properly, making her groan.

"Keep going," she repeated.

Harry slowly slid in deeper and deeper and deeper and she let out a guttural groan that surprised her. Bloody hell, the man could fill her like nothing else. She felt him bottom out and she took a moment to catch her breath before she told him to move.

Harry did as he was told and did everything he could not to come on the spot. She felt absolutely brilliant. She was tight and welcoming and oh, Merlin, it was incredible. He looked down, watching the way her body took him in complete awe and then he slid his hand between her legs to play with her clit.

Harry worked himself in and out, slowly, and Ginny moaned.

"Faster," she told him.

"If I go any faster this is going to be over way too soon," he said, making her laugh.

He felt like he was right on the edge and he didn't want it to end yet. He didn't want to stop feeling how good it felt to be inside of her like this. His fingers were pumping in and out of her in tune with his cock and when he felt her tighten around them, her arse also tightened around his cock.

"Fuck," he cried out as he came, slamming in and out of her faster and faster.

Ginny made an incoherent moan as she finished too and then Harry's fingers left her as he collapsed on top of her, his cock still buried in her arse.

"Mmm," Ginny said, turning her head. "I think you've killed me."

He kissed the back of her neck. "I need a minute."

Ginny only made a sound of agreement. After a minute when he made no motion to move, she lifted her elbow.

"You're crushing me."

Harry grunted and slowly slid out of her arse, rolling onto his back and throwing his arm up over his eyes. "Sorry, still catching my breath."

Ginny winced as she rolled onto her side to smile at him. She walked her fingers down his chest. "So, good birthday?"

Harry opened one eye and grinned. "You know, you're really making my birthday have high expectations these last three years. A puppy. You tell me you're pregnant. And now anal."

She laughed. "Guess the bar is set high for next year then. Though technically the puppy was an anniversary present."

His lips twitched as he rolled onto his side to look at her. "It was basically my birthday. I love you."

"I love you, too," she said, kissing him. "And I'm happy we did this."

"Yeah? Are you sore?"

"Yes," she admitted. "But I really liked it."

"You came really hard," he teased, brushing his lips over her brow.

"It felt really good," she told him.

Harry kissed her forehead. "So, do you think maybe we could do that again some time?"

Ginny chuckled. "Not today, but yeah, I think we can."

Harry brushed his fingers over her bottom and pulled her closer to him. "Maybe next time I can help with the prepping part?"

Ginny smiled. "Absolutely."

Harry snuggled her close, cradling her head into his shoulder. "All right, let's clean up and then get some dinner. I'm starving."

"Deal," Ginny said, kissing his the damp skin of his shoulder. "I made a birthday treacle tart for you."

Harry's eyes widened in delight. "Best wife ever."

She laughed as he hopped out of bed and pulled her to her feet. "I try. Now let's go shower and then we can have dessert."

Harry patted her bottom affectionately before he teased his fingers between her legs. "Oh, I'm definitely eating my dessert after my treacle tart. I'm definitely going to need two or three servings at least."

Ginny gave him a saucy look. "It's your birthday, you can have whatever you want."

Harry fondled her breast as he licked his bottom lip. "I want to make you come a few dozen times."

She laughed. "Ambitious of you."

"Hey, we've made it to fifteen."

"That was before I had Jamie."

Harry wiggled his eyebrows. "Practice makes perfect."

He dragged her into the shower where they spent an inordinate amount of time snogging more than actually cleaning up. Then they washed each other slowly, scrubbing each other's hair in between kisses and as they rinsed off, Harry tilted her chin towards him.

"Suck me."

Ginny kissed him and then she slid down to her knees and did exactly that. Harry placed his hand on her head and thought yeah, it was definitely the best birthday ever.

10th September, 2005…

Ginny couldn't stop staring at Theo and Sebastian. The two of them were dressed to the nines in gorgeous matching Baroque suits. Theo was in white and gold while Bas was in black and gold and both of them couldn't keep their eyes off of each other. As Theo's best woman, she wore a dress in a gorgeous shade of violet with gold embroidery across her chest, matching the gold on the grooms' suits. She couldn't stop smiling at the two men.

The moment Theo had met Sebastian, she'd known that there was something there, but the last seven years, watching them fall more and more in love with each other had been wonderful to see. After the intensity of the last month when Sebastian had gone missing and Theo had been a complete wreck, seeing them together now — it was perfect. Now, they were finally getting married and the day was magical.

When they shared their first kiss as husbands, she blinked away tears of joy, her eyes finding her own husband's across the crowd. He looked incredible in his robes and she was anxious to spend some alone time with him tonight. Basil and Esmerelda, the happily married house elves, were watching James for them tonight so that they could enjoy the wedding. Ginny still couldn't believe that her baby boy was fifteen months old already.

They danced a bit, gave a toast to Theo and Sebastian, and finally she managed to pull her husband out into the gardens under the night sky for some fresh air. Harry squeezed her hand in his as he let her lead him outside, smiling warmly at her when they stepped into a gazebo far from the wedding reception happening in the ballroom of Norfolk Manor.

Ginny smiled as Harry pulled her close into a slow dance. "This is nice."

"So nice," he agreed. "When's the last time that we had a real date?"

"I can't remember. Before Jamie, I think."

Harry chuckled. "Me neither. We'll have to work on that."

Ginny stood on her toes to peck his lips. "Theo and Bas look so happy, don't they?"

"Very," he agreed. "They've been together a long time. I'm glad that they finally tied the knot."

"Me too," Ginny said, brushing her lips against his. "I especially love seeing you in dress robes. It's been a while since I've seen you all dressed up."

"Mmm," he replied, kissing her. "You too. Have I mentioned how bloody beautiful you look in this gown?"

"Tell me again," she whispered.

"Sexy," Harry growled, letting his lips move to her throat. "All this gorgeous alabaster skin glowing in the starlight." His lips moved lower, kissing his way over exposed skin, his hands lifting her skirt as he did. "I want you."

Ginny let her had fall back, enjoying her husband's lips on her skin. "We should… go inside. Find a room…"

Harry shook his head, pulling her down to the floor of the gazebo, hiding them in the darkness of the flowers and bushes that surrounded them. "Here."

Ginny wasn't even sure who had made the first move, but the next thing she knew, her gown was covering her husband's face. His hands were sliding up her thighs, removing her knickers and she let out a soft sigh as his mouth found her. His fingers dug into her hips as he held her in place, his tongue slipping in and out of her in long licks that drove her mad; feasting on her like she was the best meal he'd ever had. When her orgasm came, she cried out into the silent night and Harry sat up, taking her with him.

Ginny tried to catch her breath as she watched him shove her knickers into his pocket before he rolled her onto her hands and knees. She heard the zipper on his trousers and she moaned when he exposed her arse to the cool night air.

"Yes…"

Harry's cock brushed against her and she pushed back, urging him to take her. "You want this?"

"I want you," she begged. "I always want you."

A moment later he was deep inside of her, his thrusts hard enough to bruise her knees as she urged him not to stop. His chest pressed against her back as he held her close, thrusting in and and out as his fingers expertly played her. She came a second time, moaning into her fist as Harry did the same into her back. He kissed her shoulders as he trembled, then her neck.

"Been a while since we've done that," he murmured.

Ginny snuck a look over her shoulder. "Done it outside?"

"And in that position," he replied, kissing her neck again.

They shuffled into a sitting position as Ginny tugged her dress down. She was going to need to find the bath for a proper cleanup and since Harry was holding onto her knickers, she gave him a look.

"Mine," he said, shoving them back into his pocket when she reached for them. He attempted to fix his shirt that she'd torn open and they kissed again as they heard voices from nearby.

Harry quickly tucked himself away as they stood up and held hands. They'd just stepped down from the gazebo and turned towards another area of the garden when she spotted Theo and Sebastian walking in the other direction. She tried not to smirk at the visible grass stains on the knees of Theo's white trousers.

Theo cleared his throat. "You two wouldn't be up to anything naughty out here, would you?"

Harry jumped, his cheeks flushing adorably. "What? No, we were just out for a walk. Needed some air from all of the dancing."

"Yes, we needed some air," Ginny agreed, winking at her friend. "Are you two trying to sneak off early?"

"We just needed some air as well," Theo said, wiggling his eyebrows.

Someone called Sebastian's name and he kissed Theo's forehead before hurrying off to see what it was about. Harry made an excuse about needing to get some wine and hurried off, leaving Theo alone with Ginny. After she helped Theo with his grass stains, they headed back to the house and she found herself dancing in her husband's arms again.

"What are you thinking about?" Harry asked, kissing her brow.

"Babies," she admitted.

Harry chuckled and kissed her forehead. "We only just decided to start trying for number two. Let's not get our hopes up it will happen that fast."

Ginny knew that Harry was right, but she'd been ovulating when he took her under the stars and part of her couldn't help but wonder if tonight had been the night. She stood on her toes to kiss her husband once more, a smile on her face.

It was the first week of October and Ginny was doing everything that she possibly could to keep down the bile rising in her throat. Hermione was trying to ask her a question about breast feeding and she could barely focus on her sister-in-law's words. She held up a finger before she turned and ran, not quite making it to the bath before throwing up all over the hall floor.

Hermione rushed after her with her just over one-month-old-daughter Rose in her arms. "Oh my gods, Ginny! Are you all right?"

Ginny used her hand to wipe her mouth before she pulled out her wand to clean up her vomit with a grimace. "I'm so sorry about that."

"No," Hermione said, touching her shoulder. "Don't worry about it. Are you all right?"

"I think so," Ginny said before she shook her head and ran into the bathroom. She emerged ten minutes later looking clammy.

Hermione gave her a once over before she shook her head. "Something you want to share?"

Ginny gave her friend a look. "Don't say it. Harry and I only just talked about it after you had Rose."

Hermione chuckled. "Have you been trying?"

Ginny blew her hair out of her eyes. "Bloody hell. Yes." She pulled her wand out and quickly muttered the pregnancy test charm. When it turned gold, she shook her head. "Well, that answers that question."

"Harry's going to be very happy. Are you?"

"Yes," Ginny said, staring down at the golden light over her stomach in awe. "I just… I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. We only just talked about it and Harry teased me at Theo's wedding that it wasn't going to happen that fast and… Jamie is only sixteen months old and now we're…" Her slow smile made her face brighten. "Hermione, we're having another baby."

Hermione hugged her tight, a big smile on her face. "Congratulations!"

Ginny let out a squeal of excitement just as Harry came through the front door with James in his arms. He quirked an eyebrow at her when he saw her.

"There's my boys," Ginny said, hurrying over to kiss James before pressing her lips to Harry's.

Harry grabbed her hand when she made to move away. "What's wrong? You're pale."

Ginny gave him a soft smile. She loved that despite how utterly oblivious he could be sometimes, he always noticed her.

"I'm good, I promise." When he only gave her a questioning look, she bit her lip. "I'm pregnant."

"You're — really?" he asked, his eyes widening in delight.

"Really," she said. "Looks like being under the stars might have worked after all."

Harry's whole face lit up as he swooped down for another kiss. "Gin, that's… fuck, that's amazing! When did you find out?"

"Just now," Ginny admitted. "We'll get an appointment with Padma just to make sure, but I am. I know it."

"Mamamamamama," James said as Ginny scooped him up from his father's arms.

"That's right, Jamie. You're going to be a big brother. Would you like that?"

James babbled again and Harry pulled them both into his arms.

"Absolutely amazing," Harry said, kissing her temple. He placed his hand over his wife's flat stomach. "Hi, Two. We can't wait to meet you." Ginny put her palm on his cheek and he turned his lips to kiss it before he beamed at Hermione. "We're having another baby!"

Hermione smiled at them. "Congratulations. Molly is going to be ecstatic."

Ginny bit her lip, a mischievous grin on her face. "How long do you think we can keep her guessing this time?"

"You two are terrible," Hermione said, shaking her head, a half smile on her lips. "My guess is one month."

Harry laughed. "Don't say anything to anyone, not even Ron."

"My lips are sealed," Hermione told him. "But for the record, I don't approve of the secrecy."

Harry took Rose from her, kissing the girl's cheeks. "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Ginny turned back to Hermione with a smile. "All right, sorry about the distractions. You were asking me something about breast feeding before I decided to upchuck all over the floor."

Hermione's lips curved. "Yes, well…" She looked over at Harry who was smiling at Rose and kissing her cheeks, making faces that adults always did at babies. "I just wondered if you experienced the discomfort. My… I've got dry skin and a bit of cracking?"

Ginny nodded. "Oh, Merlin, yes! I don't understand how someone with just gums could do so much damage. I have this great salve that Padma recommended when I asked her."

"Works wonders," Harry said, nuzzling Rose. "I rubbed it on her nipples for her after every feeding."

"It's absorbed right into the skin and it won't hurt the baby. If you use it after every feeding, it helps a lot. It's cool to the touch and the first few times it ached a bit, but once my nipples were healing, it felt amazing," Ginny said. "Let me go grab it for you."

"I can get some from Padma," Hermione said. "Looks like you're going to need it again in soon."

"We'll get more," Harry assured her, grinning at his wife.

Ginny beamed back at a him, just as excited as her husband that their family was growing.

~ KE: Hinny II ~

Being pregnant a second time, Ginny knew more of what to expect. But this time around, she also had a toddler to chase around and she found herself feeling much more exhausted at the end of the day.

When she told Gwenog the news, her team had been thrilled for her, but disappointed as it meant that she wouldn't be able to play for a good portion of the season. She was benched officially starting in February and helped with other team dynamics, but wasn't able to fly. It killed her to sit on the bench and not to jump on her broom and fly out to help her team, but she knew that it wasn't safe to be up there when she was more than five months pregnant. It wasn't worth the risk.

Being a Harpy was everything that Ginny had ever dreamed of. She was going into her sixth season as a Harpy and it had been amazing. Angelina had gotten her another five-year-contract with Holyhead and every year, she was given a five to ten percent raise based on how well she performed each season. Gwenog Jones had retired in May of 2004 and had taken over for Mallory as coach of the Harpies the following season. To Ginny's surprise, Ginny had been voted in as team captain in the 2004-2005 season and she loved every second of it. Last year, Harry had brought James to as many of her games as he could and seeing her husband in the stands with their son in his arms both dressed in her number… it had given her more joy than she could express.

Now she was pregnant again and she couldn't wait to meet their new baby.

Ginny snuggled into Harry's arms on the sofa in the living room that evening, trailing her fingers up and down his arm. "What about Lily if it's a girl?"

Harry's eyes lit up. "Yeah? You'd be all right with that?"

"Absolutely. It's a beautiful name, Harry."

"Lily… yeah, I love that," he admitting, kissing her temple. "What do you think, Two? Would you want to be called Lily?"

Ginny chuckled. "It's too early to get an answer."

Harry patted Ginny's stomach. "All right, Two can think on it."

"And if it's a boy," Ginny began. "We should talk about Albus."

Harry wrinkled his nose. "Come on. I know that I said I'd name my son after Dumbledore and all, but it's kind of an old fashioned name, isn't it?"

"Very much so," Ginny agreed. "But it's regal too. It means bright, you know? White, bright, shining… I think it's beautiful and Dumbledore was a great man."

"He was. It would definitely be an honour to name our son after him. Albus…" Harry said slowly. "It is nice, but… I don't know."

"Jamie and Alby," Ginny said, kissing her husband's chin. "It would be adorable!"

"All right," Harry relented. "I'll admit, Alby's kind of cute, but your cousin Gabe has a son named Alfie already."

Ginny rolled her eyes. "It's not like we see cousin Gabriel and his wife Sandy on a regular basis, Harry. Besides, Alfie is named after my Uncle Alphard and he's going to be eight."

"Albus," Harry said again as he considered it. "Let's think about it."

"There's also lots of great names from your family tree we could use," Ginny said. "I like the idea of using an old family name. Maybe we can even adopt your grandfather's name."

"Fleamont?" Harry asked. "Gin, I love you, but we really need to work on your name choices."

Ginny laughed. "As a second name, Harry. It's just a suggestion."

Harry slid his hand down to stroke her swollen stomach. "Let's think about it."

"Better than a veto," Ginny teased.

"Hey, I still stand by my veto. We're not naming our child Burchard."

"It means strong as a castle," Ginny said. "I thought it was sweet. We could call him Burch."

"Veto," Harry said, pinching her hip. "And we're not going with Ahenobarbus either."

Ginny pouted. "I don't like that one for a baby."

"Oh no, just poor unsuspecting pets. Eggsy's lucky."

Eggsy looked up at the sound of his name and patted over from where he was lying in front of the fire next to Bucky. He rested his head on Ginny's knee and she reached over to scratch him behind the ear.

"You love your name, don't you, Egbert?"

"Eggsy," Harry corrected.

Ginny turned to kiss her husband's cheek. "When we meet this baby, we'll have a name."

"I hope so," Harry said, putting his hand back over her stomach. "With James we were set to name him Henry Sirius, remember?"

"Yes, but he didn't look like a Henry," Ginny said.

"I still like that name, too," Harry admitted. "That's after my great-grandfather."

Ginny nodded. "I love the name Henry, but I don't know, I don't feel it for this baby… this is a boy, Harry. I can feel it. This is our Alby."

When she said the name, his eyes softened. "Alby…"

Ginny kissed his cheek again. "It's growing on you, isn't it?"

"Do you really think that we're having another boy?" Harry asked, delight in his eyes.

Ginny placed her hands over her stomach, rubbing. "I really do. I'm carrying the same and I've been craving a lot of the same things, which makes me wonder… I can't explain it, it's just a feeling."

Harry leaned in to kiss her stomach. "I'd love to have another boy with you, Gin."

"Alby," Ginny whispered.

Harry's lips curved at the name and he kissed his wife tenderly. "We'll see."

On the first of June, 2006, their second son came into the world, Harry stared at the dark haired little boy in absolute wonder. He took him from Padma, tears in his eyes as he cuddled him close against his bare chest.

"Hi, baby boy," he whispered, kissing his forehead tenderly. "Hi. I'm your dad."

"Alby," Ginny whispered, her eyes closing in exhaustion. "He's our Alby, Harry."

He cradled their son against his heart, meeting his wife's beautiful brown eyes. "Yeah… Albus Fleamont Potter."

Ginny's smile brightened. "It's perfect."

Harry placed Albus at his mother's breast, brushing his thumb over his cheek. "Welcome to the world, Alby."

Ginny helped him latch onto her breast and Padma smiled brightly at them.

"He's beautiful," Padma told them. "Another healthy baby boy."

"He's perfect," Harry said. "Thank you, for everything."

"Your wife's doing all the work, Harry. I'm just here for support."

"And it's greatly appreciated," Harry replied.

Padma smiled. "I'll give you two a moment with your son."

Harry thanked her again, grateful for her. Padma Patil had turned out to be the best find for both of them. She was kind and thoughtful. She answered questions honestly, gave advice and suggestions, and most of all, she took amazing care of Ginny and their boys. Harry trusted her. She was living with her girlfriend now, the MIA Auror Yeona Jin, and Harry thought Padma looked happy. He was glad to see that she'd managed to find happiness again after the war.

Harry settled himself gently on the bed next to his wife, gently brushing the satiny dark hair of their son as he suckled at his mother's breast. "I can't believe we made two of these."

Ginny chuckled, turning her head to kiss him. "Me neither. But we're halfway there if we're going to have four."

He laughed. "Next time, let's try for a girl."

"Deal," Ginny said.

They both looked up at the knock on the door and Harry smiled at the sight of Sirius holding James.

"Can we come in?" Sirius asked, smiling warmly at them.

Harry held his arms out for James who yawned as he snuggled into his father's arms.

"Daddy, baby!"

"That's right, Jamie. Mummy had the baby. This is your little brother, Alby."

James, who was just shy of twenty-seven months, wrinkled his nose as he looked down at the baby before he turned to look back at Harry. "No baby, Daddy."

Harry chuckled and kissed James' cheek. "He's your brother, Jamie. Don't you want a little brother?"

"No," James said. "Go back."

Sirius laughed. "Smart man. Little brothers can be a real pain in the arse."

"Arse!"

"Uncle Siri," Harry said as Sirius laughed again.

"Sorry, Harry. So, Alby, huh?"

"Albus," Harry said. "We decided to name him Albus. Albus Fleamont Potter."

"Ouch," Sirius said making Ginny scowl.

"Those are strong, respectable names, Sirius Black!"

Sirius shrugged. "I suppose. Sirius would be better."

"We already gave Jamie your name," Harry said.

"Yes, but now you need a Sirius James to round it out."

Ginny laughed. "No. We're sticking with Albus."

"All right, fair point," Sirius conceded. "Come on, Jamie. Mummy and Daddy need to rest up with Alby. You can come stay with Padpa and Zeema tonight."

James immediately jumped up in excitement. "Go, Padpa!"

Harry pulled James back to kiss his cheek. "I love you, Jamie. Be good for Padpa and Zeema, all right?" He lifted James so that Ginny could kiss him and tell him the same before passing him off to Sirius.

Sirius flipped the toddler upside down so that he giggled before he leaned in to kiss Ginny's cheek and then the top of Albus' head. "Congrats, Mum. Another beautiful boy to be proud of. Zee and I will keep Jamie for as long as you need. I'll send her in as she's dying to meet the new baby."

Harry and Ginny nodded and when Sirius left with James, Zee and Molly came in next. Harry kissed his wife's brow after all of the family slowly made their way in to greet the new baby.

"Let me take him, Gin. You get some sleep."

Ginny passed Albus into Harry's arms and he immediately snuggled him up against his bare chest. "Thank you. I love you."

Harry bent to kiss her, lingering over her lips. "I love you, too. Thank you for our son."

Ginny smiled as she leaned back against the pillows, fighting back sleep. "We did good, Harry."

"Yeah, we did," he agreed.

Then he moved outside on the balcony, the warm June evening air engulfing him. He covered Albus with a blanket as he held the boy against his naked chest, unable to keep the smile off of his face.

Two kids was a big adjustment.

Harry took four weeks off of work for paternity leave again to help out and at the end of every day, he and Ginny were both exhausted. James wanted constant attention and he didn't seem to like it when Albus got attention instead him.

Sirius and Zee came in to visit almost every other day and James was bouncing between them, desperate for attention and frowning when they wanted to hold the baby and not him. Zee pulled him up into her arms and he snuggled against her chest like a baby and demanded she read him stories. When Remus and Tonks came in, James abandoned Zee and ran directly for Remus.

"Moopa!"

Remus laughed as he scooped James up into his arms. "Hi, Jamie."

Sirius chuckled. "The fact that he calls you Moopa makes me ridiculously happy."

"It's a ridiculous name," Tonks said, kissing James' cheek. "It's perfect."

Harry wasn't sure when the name Moopa started, but it had stuck and it was all James would call Remus. But the best part, was that he started calling Tonks, Mooma. Harry had a feeling that Sirius might have started the names as a play on Moony, but however it had happened, they stuck and since it was adorable coming out of Jamie's mouth, no one suggested they change them.

Harry took James from Remus to hold him close so that they could greet Albus and they all took turns giving James attention, but he still seemed a bit suspicious over his new brother, unsure about him. It took him a solid two weeks to warm up to his new baby brother.

The night it finally happened, Albus' crying woke him up. Harry urged Ginny to go back to sleep, grabbing a bottle of breast milk that she'd stored in the ice box. He used his wand to heat it up to the proper temperature before he settled in the rocking chair of the nursery with Albus in his arms. Harry and Ginny kept the nursery the same for Albus, adding his name to the wall and using the living room area of the bedroom suite as James' bedroom for the time being. They wanted the boys close to them. James, who had been sleeping in a toddler bed for the last three months, woke up when Albus did. He crawled out of his bed and over to the rocking chair.

"Daddy, up!"

Harry carefully reached down to pull James into his arms, smiling when the toddler snuggled into his side.

"Alby," James said, poking him in the arm.

"That's right, Jamie," Harry said softly. "But we don't poke him. Look, he's hungry."

Harry carefully adjusted his arm, giving Albus the bottle. Albus stared up at him with wide light blue eyes that Ginny was convinced were going to turn green. James rested his cheek against Harry's bare chest.

"Story, Daddy. Pwease?"

Harry smiled and dropped a kiss to the top of James' hair. It still amazed him when he looked down at his first born son how perfect he was. James had inherited Harry's messy hair, but as dark as it was, it had an auburn hue in the light. His eyes had turned Ginny's deep chocolate brown and they tended to glow with the same mischief more often than not.

"All right," Harry said quietly.

He summoned James' blanket over along with his favourite plushie that came from his Uncle George, a huge blue occamy. James immediately held the plushie close, settling as Harry wrapped him up in the blanket. He carefully took the bottle away from Albus so that he could burp him as he began to tell a story he remembered from when he was young.

"Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a young boy named Arthur Pendragon…"

By the time Albus finished the bottle, James was asleep against Harry's chest. He shifted so that Albus rested against the other side of his chest, tugging James' blanket up to cover the baby as well. He leaned back in the rocking chair, keeping up the motion as he held his boys in his arms and it wasn't long at all before he drifted off to sleep himself.

It was where Ginny found them in the early morning. He woke to the feel of her kissing his brow as she lifted Albus out of his arms.

"I got him," she whispered. She leaned down to kiss James' cheek.

Harry nodded, still half asleep. He pulled James more securely in his arms and went right back to sleep. He woke an hour later to small fingers tugging on his lips and poking him in the cheek.

"Daadddddyyy… Dadddyyyyy…"

Harry blinked awake, adjusting his glasses from where they were lying crooked on his face. "Good morning, Jamie."

"Waffles, pwease," James said before he shimmied out of the chair, his occamy plushie in his arms.

Harry stood up, yawning as he did and stretched his arms up over his head. He caught James at the top of the stairs and scooped him up to cover him in kisses, making the boy squeal and laugh.

"Waffles for breakfast?"

"Yes, Daddy!"

They headed downstairs and Harry found Ginny already in the kitchen. She had Albus in her arms as she put the kettle on and was pouring milk for James. Harry moved around the counter to kiss her.

"Good morning."

"Good morning," Ginny said, kissing him again. "How'd you sleep?"

"Surprisingly good," he admitted. "I'm a little stiff, but otherwise all right. We're making waffles this morning."

"Oh?" Ginny said as she leaned in to kiss James. "Good morning, my baby!"

"Waffles, Mumma!"

"Absolutely," Ginny said, kissing him again.

Harry winked at her before he used his wand to turn on the wireless, turning up the music as James squealed. He carried James over to the cupboard, letting him help pull out all of the ingredients. He showed him how to crack the eggs, let him help pour the milk and flour (his hands holding it as well to prevent a mess) and then used his wand to mix everything together. James clapped his hands in excitement.

When the waffles were ready, he added maple syrup on top and carefully put James into his booster seat. He plated two waffles for Ginny before he took Albus from her.

"I got him, you eat first."

"I adore you, Harry Potter."

Harry smiled at her as she dug into the waffles and he kissed the top of Albus' head. He looked around at his family and thought life was pretty bloody good.

October 2006…

Ginny wanted to cry.

Her entire body hurt and burned as she ran around the pitch with her teammates, trying to keep up. Merlin, having a baby really destroyed one's ability to remember how to be athletic, Ginny thought.

James was two and a half and Albus was four months old. Ginny returned late to Holyhead to begin training for her seventh year as a Harpy, leaving the boys. She was excited to get back in the game, even though she felt incredibly guilty for leaving Albus so soon. Thankfully, Molly was willing to babysit while she was at practice if Harry was at work.

James had started nursery school in Polperro in the same school where Mina, Leo, and Teddy had all attended. He loved it, but Albus was too young to join them. When she finally made it to the finish line, she reached for her water, drinking slowly as Gwenog slapped her on the back.

"Not bad, Potter."

Ginny snorted. "I'm slow."

"Slower than normal," Gwenog agreed. "But not slow. You'll get there. Come on. Time for broom drills and then I want to see more baby photos."

Ginny laughed as she followed her coach to their brooms. It was great to be back on the team.

Harry was late coming home from work. He'd gotten stuck in a long interrogation with a suspect of a home invasion. He'd been an A3 Auror for almost six years now, four of which Ron had been his partner, and he loved every second of it. He loved going to work, working the cases, saving people, and helping hunt down the monsters of the world.

Robards was still Head of the Dark Arts Unit and Harry liked the way he ran things. He and Ron had become tangled up in homicides, potion rings, and more over the years and Harry enjoyed the puzzles behind each one. These home invasions had involved two wizards breaking into magical homes. They'd been hunting them for three months and trying to figure out how they were getting through wards that they shouldn't be. A little dark magic, a little luck, and a whole lot of stupidity on the kinds of things the average person gave out to strangers.

After reporting to Robards, he ordered Harry and Ron to sit down with the Daily Prophet for a 'how to' article when it came to protecting your home and what not to do. Harry felt like it was very much needed.

When he finally stepped into Clevedon Court that evening, James and Albus were both crying.

"Jamie, I said stop," Ginny said, sharply. "Bucky isn't a toy. If you want to play with the dogs you have to be gentle, remember?"

Albus' cries became louder and Ginny hushed him.

"Shh, just a minute, Alby. Mummy needs to get your brother his dinner first."

Harry left his shoes by the door and headed inside to find his family. He greeted James with a stolen kiss before he ruffled his hair and then headed over to his wife, ducking his head to kiss her cheek.

"Hi, sorry I'm late. What do you need?"

"Oh, thank you," Ginny said, sighing in relief. "Can you finish up Jamie's pasta? My tits are going to explode if I don't feed Alby."

Harry stole another kiss before he kissed Albus' cheek. "Hi, Alby."

Albus squealed in delight at the sight of Harry. Harry kissed him again before he took over making the pasta as James giggled that loud, full bellied child laugh while he played with Bucky and Eggsy on the floor. Once it was ready, Harry made a plate for James, who decided that he didn't want pasta anymore and cried at the table.

After a lot of coaxing, Harry convinced him to eat three bites, before he drank all of his milk and wanted to go play.

Ginny shook her head. "Don't force it, Harry. Mum said that's normal for toddlers and he had a really good lunch. He also ate a whole apple this afternoon."

"I know," Harry said. "I just hate it when he doesn't eat. I start to worry that we're starving him or something. Is that stupid?"

"No," Ginny said with a smile. "Not at all. What kept you at work today?"

"Interrogation," Harry said. "We finally got the blokes from the home invasions. Once we got them to talk, Ron and I didn't want to stop. I'm sorry I'm late."

Ginny gave him a half smile. "It's fine. It's your job, I get it."

"How was practice?"

Ginny let out a slow breath. "Long. Merlin, I'm so out of shape."

"Daddy! Pway!"

Harry gave Ginny a look before he kissed her brow and headed out of the kitchen to play with James. Ginny gave James his bath while Harry spent some time with Albus and then Harry held Albus as he and Ginny crawled into bed with James to read him a bedtime story.

"Gan," James said when the book finished.

Ginny kissed his cheek. "Once more and then it's bed time. All right?"

"Right," James agreed. "Daddy read."

Harry took the book from Ginny and began to read The Rainbow Fish all over again. When he was done, he kissed James' cheek.

"Goodnight, Jamie. I love you."

Ginny did the same, taking Albus from Harry as Harry tucked James in. "I love you, Jamie."

"Uv you," James murmured.

Harry charmed the room to have stars dance on the ceiling in a soft light and when they closed his bedroom door, he smiled.

"Merlin, we're lucky he goes down so good."

"I know," Ginny agreed, remembering some of the stories her brothers told about their kids. Percy had the worst luck with Molly Anna at this age. "Now it's your turn for bed, Alby."

Harry gave Albus his bottle while Ginny tidied up his nursery. When they put him in his cot, they both kissed him before they laid him down and then snuck out of the room. Harry pulled her into the master bedroom and tugged her into his arms, holding her close.

"You doing all right?"

"Yes. Tired, but yes."

"Me too," Harry admitted. He kissed her forehead. "Why don't you go soak in the tub? I'll clean up the kitchen."

Ginny's eyes softened. "You are the perfect man, Harry James Potter."

Harry left her to relax and headed downstairs to clean up. He used his wand to take care of the mess just as Basil stepped into the kitchen.

"Basil, it's late," Harry said. "You don't have to be here."

Basil smiled. "Harry Potter, Sir, you and the mistress have your hands full. Basil will take care of it."

Harry gave the elf a grateful smile before he said goodnight and headed upstairs. He peeked in on the boys, pleased to find them both sleeping soundly before he made his way to the master bedroom. He found his wife lying in a bubble bath with her eyes closed. He knelt next to the tub, trailing his fingers over her arm.

"All good?"

"Very," Ginny said. "Done already?"

"Basil took over."

"Thank goodness for him," Ginny said. "I swear I turn around and Hurricane Jamie strikes in two point four seconds."

Harry chuckled. "It is rather amazing how quickly he makes a mess of things."

"It really is," Ginny agreed. "Join me."

Harry stood up and undressed, carefully slipping into the tub with his wife. He pulled her back against him, kissing her neck as he sighed at the pleasure of the hot water. He linked his fingers with hers as she told him all about practice and the plans for the season and Harry filled her in on his day.

"Ron took most of the afternoon off as Rose was sick. Poor thing had a fever and Hermione was in the middle of some big meeting. By the time she got out and Ron came back, I'd already started the interrogation," Harry explained. "He and Hermione are talking about having a second baby."

"Oh, that's lovely," Ginny said. "Did you tell him how much harder two is?"

"Nope," Harry said with a grin. "Why would I do that?"

Ginny laughed. "Smart man."

He slid his hands over her stomach and up to cup her breasts. "Too sensitive?"

Ginny shook her head. "No, that feels nice. Softer."

He did as he was told, gently fondling her in the water. "It would be nice to have a little girl, don't you think?"

Ginny smiled. "Absolutely, but not yet, Harry. Alby's barely five months old."

"Just a thought," he said, his lips curving. "Maybe we can talk about it after your season."

"It's getting hard for a girl to play Quidditch when her sexy husband keeps knocking her up."

Harry grinned. "To be fair, Jamie wasn't planned."

"True," Ginny agreed. "Albus was planned, but still managed to be a surprise. The next one will be planned."

"Absolutely. I refuse to pay Ron any more Galleons over that."

Ginny rolled her eyes. "We don't have accidents. We have… happy surprises. My brother's a git."

"Exactly," Harry said. "But Ron's our git."

Ginny turned to kiss him as he continued to massage her breasts. "That he is. Oh, we have to get a gift for Neville and Hannah. The baby is due in January and I want to put together a nice basket for them of all of the things that we loved the most for Jamie and Alby."

"Sounds good," Harry said, kissing her neck. "Nev's a nervous wreck. I stopped by there this morning for a tea and a biscuit and Hannah said that he won't stop hovering."

"Sounds about right," Ginny teased. "If I sneezed too hard you picked me up and carried me to bed, wrapping me up like a burrito."

"I wasn't that bad," he insisted.

"You were," Ginny said with a smile. "But it was adorable. It was also annoying, but it's hard to be too annoyed when your man is being so sweet because he's worried."

"You don't know what it's like, Gin," Harry said. "It's like you're doing this bloody brilliant thing and your body's changing and going through all of this stuff and I'm just standing around waiting like a tosser. It's stressful because I want to help, I want to be there and I just didn't know what to do."

"You were wonderful, both times," Ginny assured him. "All a girl needs is a supportive partner, Harry. Someone to be there when we need them whether it's to help with a food craving, reach an itch, rub our feet… someone to love and cherish us."

"I do love and cherish you," Harry said.

"I know that too," Ginny said, kissing him. "Hannah thinks that they're having a boy."

"So does Neville. They're very excited. Hannah's mum's been popping by the shop lately."

Ginny frowned. "Really? I thought that she and Hannah didn't speak?"

"They don't," Harry said. "Neville said that they haven't spoken since Hannah walked out in seventh year. They never even invited her to the wedding. She just showed up a few weeks ago, wandered into the shop as if nothing had happened. Now she's trying to play the doting grandmother."

"Poor Hannah."

Harry's lips twitched. "I don't know, it sounds like Augusta Longbottom put her in her place. Neville said she showed up with her best friend, Griselda Marchbanks, around the same time that Caroline Abbott did. Hannah asked her mother to leave and when Caroline started to whine, Augusta put her in her place."

"Oh, I think I would have liked to have seen that."

"Me too," Harry admitted. "She can be a scary woman."

"Do you think that she'll come back?"

"Neville thinks so," Harry said. "I guess we'll see what happens. I told him to call me if she does and we can get a restraining order on her."

"What did she want? Is she trying to make amends?"

Harry shook his head. "No; well sort of, but Neville said mostly she needs money. Hannah wants to be strong, but it's her mum and as much as she detests her, Neville says she struggles at saying no to her. We'll have to see what happens."

"They could always have Greg stand by the door and keep watch," Ginny suggested.

Harry chuckled. Gregory Goyle and Neville had grown closer over the years since Neville and Hannah had opened Serendipity six years ago. He was a nice bloke and Harry had been surprised originally when Neville started hanging out with him. Now Greg came to their monthly pub nights which more often than not were bi-monthly pub nights as of late due to their growing families. Greg and Pansy had been married for ten years now and had five children together. Four boys: Grayson, who was nine, Gabriel, eight, Gavin, six, Grant, four, and one girl who was a year and a half named Giselle.

"I'm sure he would do it. He is good at looking intimidating as long as Giselle isn't in the room."

"He is a bit of a softie when it comes to his kids, but especially his daughter," Ginny agreed. "He's going to be in trouble when she gets older and figures it out."

"She already has," Harry said. "Anyway, we'll make plans to do some shopping and try to put something together before the season starts up. Once your matches begin, we'll be shorter on time. I can't wait to bring Alby to one of your matches. Jamie's going to love it even more this year because he'll understand what's happening. I ordered them both kits with your name and number."

Ginny's eyes softened. "Of course you did."

"Hey, we have to cheer for the number one Harpy," he said, kissing her neck again. "Who is number three, but that's beside the point."

Ginny laughed. "Git."

The water was starting to get cold so they got out and dried off. Harry helped her rub lotion all over her body and smiled when she did the same with him. When her lotion covered hand stroked over his cock, he smiled.

"Ooh, that feels perfect."

"Does it?" Ginny teased, stroking him more firmly. "I like how you feel in my hand."

Harry's eyes heated. "It's been way too bloody long since I've been inside you," he murmured.

She stroked him again and his fingertips brushed over her stomach and downwards. When they teased her lightly, heat flashed through her. Merlin, it really had been too long since they'd found time for each other. Sunday, she remembered with a smile as his fingers began to do delicious things to her. They'd been at Fred and Fiadh's for a Weasley family dinner and they'd left the boys with their cousins and snuck off. She smiled as she remembered how Harry had bent her over the bathroom counter.

Percy had scoffed at them when they'd returned. "Really? In Fred's house?"

"I was showing Ginny something," Harry said. "I don't know what you're implying."

"He's implying that you were showing your wife your cock," George said with a laugh. "And come on, Perce, are you really surprised at this point?"

"Yes!" Percy insisted. "They've been married for six bloody years! Isn't there a limit to how often they can get out of family events for a bloody shag?"

Audrey squeezed the back of her husband's neck. "I'll remember that the next time you want a shag."

The brothers all called out, "Burn!"

Harry shrugged as he scooped Albus back up from Hermione's arms. "With two kids, finding time is more difficult. You lot were here to babysit."

Molly came over to pluck Albus, the youngest and newest grand baby out of Harry's arms. "I'll take little Albus, dear."

Ginny moved over to sit in her husband's lap. "We found another babysitter. Want to check out Fred's bedroom?"

"Oi!" Fred exclaimed. "Don't even think about it!"

Everyone laughed as Harry kissed her. But an hour later, they did sneak off a second time, and Harry took her against the wall in a broom cupboard.

But that had been six days ago and Merlin, she missed her husband. She smiled when he lifted her up onto the counter and spread her legs before he knelt down on the bath mat and used his mouth on her. She ran her fingers through his thick, messy hair and cried out in ecstasy when she came. He kept teasing her, drawing out her pleasure and when he finally stood and pulled her to the edge of the counter before slipping into her, she dug her fingers into his shoulders.

"I love you," she gasped.

"Mmm, love you so much," he grunted as he worked himself in and out of her.

She came again and he followed seconds later, burying his face in her chest as he did. Their breathing was heavy as they kissed and Harry slowly extricated himself. He kissed her forehead tenderly.

"You all right?"

"Perfect," Ginny said, slightly out of breath.

He kissed her again. "Think we have time to clean up together?"

Ginny glanced at the clock on the wall. "Let's not push our luck."

He smiled and kissed her again. He left her to clean up first while he pulled on sweats and went to do a quick peek at the boys. They were both sleeping soundly and he stood in the doorway, a soft smile on his face as he just watched them sleep.

Life was great.

April 2007…

Ginny was doing everything she could to make sure the house was ready for James' third birthday. She was rushing around, making sure the food was prepared, and blessing Basil for every little bit of help he offered. They'd decorated the grand hall for the occasion with fire broomgade attire and she had fire flyer hats for all of her nieces and nephews to wear alongside of James.

Fire flyers were James' current love and all he wanted for his birthday was fire broomgade related things. Ginny was doing her best to accommodate him and Harry had even found some Muggle fire trucks that they knew James would love.

Harry pulled down all of the armchairs and sofas from storage to fill the room with seating and they'd brought in the toy bin so that the kids would be easy to keep an eye on. The early April weather was still a bit too chilly to be sitting outside.

"Ginny," Zee said from the doorway with a smile. "It looks lovely in here. What do you need me to do?"

"Thank you," Ginny replied. "And I think most of it is done, I'm just adding some final decorations.

Zee immediately moved over to help. "Let me do those, you sit down. I bet you could use a rest."

Ginny hesitated half a second before she agreed, plopping herself down into one the armchairs. "Thank you. Everyone's not even here yet and I'm already exhausted."

"Having two young boys will do that to you," Zee teased. "I think it's only in the last year or so that I feel like when I go to sleep at night, I actually wake up rested."

"That's not reassuring," Ginny said as Zee chuckled.

Zee's wand carefully placed the streamers and balloons around the room as she spoke. "Just think, in two more months we'll be doing this again for Alby's first birthday."

"I can't believe Alby is going to be one already," Ginny admitted. "And Jamie's three… Merlin, I swear I just had him and other days I wonder why he's not an adult yet."

Zee laughed. "Sounds about right. I can't believe my babies are going to be eleven this year. Next year they'll be going off to Hogwarts."

"Who's going to Hogwarts?" Sirius asked as he came into the room with Albus in his arms.

"Mina and Leo, next year. Where did the time go?"

"Tell me about it," Sirius said. "But think about it this way, after we put them on the train, we can go home and shag for weeks with no interruptions."

Zee snorted. "Except of course for you know, work."

Sirius shrugged. "Semantics. Hi, Ginny. The place looks great. Harry's still working on getting Jamie dressed."

Ginny smiled and stood up. "All right, I'll go up and see if I can help."

She left the final decorating up to Sirius and Zee, greeting Mina and Leo with a hug and kiss when she found them in the kitchen sneaking fruit from one of the platters.

It was hard to believe how quickly they'd grown up. Mina looked very much like her mother, but she had Sirius' grey eyes. Her hair was wild curls like her mother in a rich, chocolate brown. She wore it just past her shoulders and a growth spurt made the ten-year-old look skinnier than usual. Leo was a mini Sirius with Zee's warm brown eyes, wide smile, and unruly black curls. He gave Ginny a shy smile as he stood next to his sister, who stood almost a head taller than him.

"Hi, Ginny," Mina said. "We were just checking out the food to make sure it's edible."

Ginny chuckled. "Good excuse. Your parents are in the other room, why don't you and Leo help me bring the food in and we'll set it up on the tables?"

"All right," Leo said, grabbing a plate full of sliced watermelon.

Harry came into the kitchen then with James running in. James squealed when he saw Mina and Leo and Harry kissed Ginny's temple. James had decided that he wanted to wear a full fire broomgade kit and Ginny thought he looked absolutely adorable dressed in the little fire flyer jacket and trousers with his hat.

"Do you think that he's going to be a fire flyer when he grows up?" Ginny asked, leaning into her husband.

"Who knows?" Harry said. "Two months ago he was obsessed with magical creatures. I think he still has time to decide."

Ginny elbowed him and he laughed, stealing a kiss.

They headed into the grand hall as Remus and Tonks came in with Teddy. Teddy's birthday was next week and he would be turning nine. He ran straight to Harry who bent down to hug him tight.

"Hi, Teddy Bear!"

"Uncle Harry!" Teddy exclaimed, his eyes bright as his hair flashed between purple, blue, and green.

Ginny noticed that the more excited he was, the less control he had over his Metamorphmagus skills, though he was getting better at concealing them.

"Guess what?" Teddy exclaimed, bouncing in excitement.

"Um… you grew another three centimetres?" Harry asked.

Teddy rolled his eyes. "Come on, Uncle Harry. Guess something fun."

"Yeah, Uncle Harry," Sirius teased. "Don't be such a plonker."

Harry stuck his tongue out at Sirius.

Teddy was still bouncing in excitement before he snuck a look back at his parents. "Mum and Dad are taking me on holiday!"

"Ooh," Ginny said with a smile. "Where are you going to go?"

"Alton Towers!" Teddy shouted as Mina and Leo groaned.

"Daddy, can we go too?" Mina asked, fluttering her lashes at her father. "Please, Daddy."

Sirius' eyes softened and Zee rolled her eyes in turn. Sirius was horrible at saying no to his daughter.

"We'll talk about it, Mina," Zee said.

"Auntie Ginny, can Jamie come with us too?" Teddy asked.

Ginny smiled at her honorary godson. "I'm sorry, Teddy, but Jamie's too young to go on any of those Muggle rides yet. Maybe another time."

"Alton Towers, eh?" Harry said when Remus hugged him.

"Guess who's idea that was?" Remus said with a chuckle.

Tonks popped a loud bubble and winked. "He's just jealous because I thought of it first. We're not going until next month and only for a day on the weekend."

"That's clearly it," Remus said as Tonks stood on her toes and kissed his cheek.

At forty-seven, Remus was completely grey now. The only hint that his hair had once been a sandy brownish blond was the bits of colour that grew in around his stubble. He wore glasses most of the time now as well and Tonks teased him that her silver wolf finally looked the role of a distinguished professor. Tonks was thirty-four and had grown her hair out past her shoulders. She still kept it a mix between pink and purple, but it was currently in a high ponytail.

Twenty minutes later, the Weasleys had finally descended onto Clevedon Court as Molly hurried forward to steal Albus from Sirius' arms with a big smile. Within twenty-five minutes, kids were laughing and playing as pure chaos happened around them. Bill and Fleur were introducing their newest baby to Zee with bright smiles. Louis William Weasley had been born on the ninth of March and was the newest addition to the Weasley family. Their two daughters, Victoire, who would be eight next month, and Dominique, who had just turned five, were following Mina around.

Charlie hadn't been able to make it, but since Aydin was staying with Molly for a month (Molly insisted on getting her granddaughter for a full month at least once a year because of the distance), she was there as well. She was ten and would also be starting at Hogwarts next year with Mina and Leo. Ginny noticed that she and Mina seemed to be as thick as thieves. Ginny knew that Charlie was talking to Zee about possibly transferring to England, but they hadn't told Molly yet. He wanted to find a place in Britain for when Aydin went to Hogwarts so that he would be closer to his daughter. Ginny knew that her mother would be ecstatic when she found out so they were keeping it between the siblings until Charlie knew for sure.

Percy and Audrey's daughter, Molly Anna was five and half. Their youngest daughter, Lucy Louisa, whom they'd taken to calling Lucy Loo, was fifteen months old and toddling around on recently steady legs. Fred and Fiadh arrived late (which was the norm). Finley and Felicity were eight and a half, Forest had just turned five in February, and their only son, Fox Fabian, would be turning three in August and according to Fred, made it impossible for them to get anywhere on time.

George and Angelina only had the one son so far, Gideon Aaron, who would also be turning three in August, but Angelina had announced at the family dinner last week that she and George were expecting again in September. Ron and Hermione had Rose, who was twenty months old and Hermione was due to have their second baby in July.

With so many kids running around and everyone talking over each other, it felt like home. Ginny stifled back another yawn and Ron slipped his arm around her.

"You all right? You look like you could fall asleep standing up?"

"I could use a nap," Ginny admitted. "I've really been dragging my feet this week. The boys are exhausting."

"I bet," Ron said. "Go sit down. We can entertain ourselves and we know where the kitchen is."

Ginny gave her brother a grateful look, but she'd barely sat before Rolf and Luna came in with bright smiles. She jumped to her feet to hug her friend tightly.

"Luna! I didn't think that you could make it?"

"We surprised ourselves," Luna told her. "Rolf and I didn't want to miss it."

"Auntie Luna!" James shouted, running into her outstretched arms in delight.

Colin showed up soon after, plopping down on the sofa next to Ginny. "Sorry I'm late. I broke up with Wendy."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"No, you're not," he teased. "You never liked her."

"No, I really didn't," she admitted, thinking of the brunette whom Colin had been dating for the last four months. "She wasn't good for you."

Colin shrugged. "Yeah. Next time I'm going to listen when you tell me that."

"No you won't," Ginny said, making him laugh.

Theo and Sebastian came in with Seamus and Dean. Theo made an immediate beeline for Albus, scooping him up and kissing his cheek.

"Hi, my favourite godson!" Theo exclaimed as Albus smiled at him.

"Bet you say the same thing to your other godson," Harry teased.

Theo winked. "Shush, lover."

When James spotted Seamus, who intentionally arrived in his fire flyer kit, his eyes widened to saucers.

Seamus winked at Ginny. "Hey, little man. Want to hang out with a real fire flyer?"

"Yes!" James shouted in glee.

Ginny couldn't help but smile as Seamus took his time showing James all of the gadgets on his coat, his fire flyer hat, and his official broom. When he took out his wand and built a fort to "save" the kids from, they were completely under his thrall.

"He's really good with kids," Ginny said when Dean came to stand beside her.

"Yeah, he is. Our nieces adore him. Norah has him wrapped around her finger and Saoirse gets the biggest smile whenever we go to America to visit his sister or she and her family come here," Dean said.

"I heard Norah has you wrapped around her finger too," Ginny teased, thinking of Seamus' niece who was almost two.

"Maybe," Dean admitted.

"Do you two ever think about it?"

"Kids? Us?" Dean said, his eyes widening. "Er… no."

Ginny chuckled. "I wasn't putting you on the spot, Dean — relax."

Dean gave her a grateful look before he shook his head. "We'll see."

Neville and Hannah soon arrived with their three month old son, Jacob Franklin. They were already calling him Jake in honour of Hannah's late father and Ginny smiled when Harry plucked the baby out of Hannah's arms after kissing her cheek in greeting. Her husband was too adorable when it came to babies. She's stifled a yawn again as Luna took a seat next to her.

"Your aura is brighter today," Luna said.

Ginny gave her friend an amused look. "I don't know what means, Luna. I feel like I've been run over by a hippogriff. I don't even know why I'm so tired."

Luna looked at her critically before she smiled in her dreamy way. "I do."

Ginny frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Luna leaned in and poked Ginny's tit through her shirt. "Sensitive?"

"Ow, yes," Ginny said. "Stop that."

"Ginny, it's not like it's your first time."

Ginny started to ask her friend what she meant before she shook her head. "No. No, that's ridiculous. We talked about it and we were going to try again when Alby turns two. Not yet."

Luna winked. "Oh, no need for that now."

Ginny watched her friend walk away and she blanched, touching her stomach automatically. Merlin, was Luna right? Was she pregnant? She excused herself from the room and headed upstairs to take a second to herself. She stood in the master bathroom, staring at herself in the mirror for a long time before she finally pulled out her wand to do the charm.

She and Harry had been careful. Padma told her that as long as she was breastfeeding, it did diminish her chances at getting pregnant, but once Albus was on solid foods, she needed to start taking the potion again. And she did, she was, and…

"It often takes some time for it to take an effect on your body once you've stopped using it," Padma told them. "I recommend using the contraception charm as well, but even that's not a hundred percent full-proof."

Ginny watched the gold glow rise up over her stomach. "Especially when you bloody forget to use it entirely," she muttered. "Bloody hell."

All Stars Week, she thought. She'd been chosen to play for the Welsh team this year at the end of February and she'd played in a game against some of the best Quidditch players in all of Britain, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales with all of the proceeds going to charity. Her team had won and afterwards… Harry had rented them a fancy hotel room in Cardiff while Molly took the boys overnight. They'd fallen into the bed, laughing and kissing. She remembered they'd made love five times that night and not once had it actually been in the bed. It was the most they'd done in one night since before James had come along. Her cheeks heated as she remembered how her husband had worshipped her again and again and again and again.

She turned when the bathroom door opened and she met Harry's eyes in the mirror. Harry started to ask if she was all right before he saw the gold glow and his eyes widened.

"Gin…?"

Ginny nodded, biting her bottom lip. "Erm, surprise?"

Harry moved towards her, his eyes bright in joy. "Really? You're positive?"

Ginny put her wand down on the counter and rubbed at her tired eyes. "I am. It is. Bloody hell, Harry. Alby's not even a year old yet."

Harry wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed the crook of her neck. "I love you. I know that this wasn't planned, but… I'm ready for number three."

Ginny scoffed, her lips twitching. "This is your fault, you know. I'm pretty sure this happened after the All Stars Game."

He grinned. "If I remember correctly, you certainly weren't protesting when you rode me against the wall or in the shower."

"I might have protested when you bent me over the armchair," she said.

He winked. "No, you definitely didn't. In fact, I'm pretty sure all you said was, 'More, Harry. Harder, Harry.'" She elbowed him and he grinned. "You came thirteen times that night. Wasn't quite as many as I was hoping for, but it worked."

"And you came and knocked me up," she said.

Harry kissed her temple. "Is it wrong to say I'm happy about that?"

Ginny turned in his arms, resting her cheek against his chest. "I'm happy. I am… I'm just… overwhelmed. We were going to wait until Alby was two and…"

Harry kissed her brow. "And now we get a little surprise." He placed his hands over her flat stomach. "I bet this one's a girl."

Ginny's brown eyes softened. "Yeah?"

He nodded and captured her lips. "Yeah. Come on, let's get back downstairs before someone comes looking for us. We can tell everyone the news about Three."

Ginny smiled. "Yes, let's do that."

When they came downstairs to do just that, Molly and Zee both squealed as Remus gave them an amused look. Ginny sighed, of course he'd known already. She loved that he always kept it a secret for them (and from them as he'd proven with both Albus and Three).

George held his hand out. "All right, who guessed the next Potter baby would be an accident? Pay up!"

"George!" Molly exclaimed.

Ron snorted, putting an arm around Harry's shoulders. "Told you that you would have a bunch of accidents."

"My kids are not accidents, Ron," Harry said.

"Which ones did you plan for again?" Fred teased.

"Albus was planned," Harry said, making everyone laugh.

Ginny turned to let Theo wrap her in his arms. "I'm pregnant."

"I heard," Theo said, kissing her cheek. "Congratulations, chick."

As everyone celebrated their news and Harry brought out the large birthday cake that Ginny had baked for James, she thought she wouldn't change anything about her life. Even a second accidental pregnancy.

~ KE: Hinny II ~

Lily Luna Potter was born on Sirius' forty-eighth birthday and if Ginny had thought that Harry was charmed by the boys, it was nothing in comparison to how he looked at his daughter. When Padma placed Lily in his arms, tears rolled down his cheeks and his green eyes were so full of emotion that Ginny couldn't hold back her own tears.

"Gin… we have a little girl."

Ginny smiled through her own tears. "Yeah, we do. Lily?"

Harry stared down at the tiny babe in his arms, gently brushing his thumb over her cheek in awe. "Lily… Luna?"

Ginny's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, Luna will love that, Harry."

It was Molly who brought James and Albus in to meet their new sister. James carefully sat in the chair as instructed, grinning when Harry placed the baby in his arms.

"She's little," James said.

"Very little," Harry said, kneeling in front of his son. "You and Alby will have to take care of her. Will you help your Mum and I with her?"

James nodded solemnly.

Harry took Lily back from James and held her out to Albus. Albus stared at the baby for a long moment before he bent his head and kissed her hand. Harry kissed the top of Albus' head with a teary smile.

"That's right, Albus. This is your sister."

When Luna and Rolf came to meet Lily, Harry carefully placed the baby into Luna's arms and then kissed Luna's cheek.

"We've missed you."

Luna smiled warmly at him. "I've missed you and the boys too. And now I get to meet this little angel. You said her name's Lily? After your mum?"

"Yes," Harry said. "After my mum and after her godmother."

"Oh?" Luna asked. "Do you know someone else named Lily?"

"No," Harry said. "Her name is Lily Luna Potter."

Luna's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh!"

Ginny beamed at her. "Would you do us the honours, Luna?"

A tear rolled down Luna's cheek as she rested her cheek against Lily's with a bright smile. "I would love it."

Harry kissed her cheek again and Luna surprised him by turning her head and pecking his lips.

"I adore you, Harry Potter."

Harry's smile was soft. "It's very mutual, Luna Lovegood."

Then he walked over to take Ginny's hand in his and wrapped his arms around his wife, both of them beaming at the happy look on Luna's face as she held her goddaughter.

The next few months seemed to fly by. The adjustment from two kids to three wasn't as rough as Ginny had been expecting, but it was still a lot. Dropping James and Albus off at nursery school at least gave her a chance to breathe and to spend some time with Lily. She treasured those moments when she could just hold her daughter and get a chance to get to know her before Harry came home with the boys and chaos erupted all over again.

Albus was oddly tuned in to his sister's every move and more often than not, Ginny found her little boy curled up next to Lily, babbling at her while she kicked her little hands and feet. James was just as smitten and every morning when he woke up the first thing he wanted to do was check on Lily. It warmed Ginny's heart to see her boys so doting on their little sister.

Life was good as Ginny settled into her new life as a mother of three. At the end of March of '08, she went back to work, grinning when Harry showed up at her matches with all three kids in his arms decked out in Holyhead apparel. They made it to the playoffs, but were sadly knocked out in the second round by the Montrose Magpies who had a phenomenal team this year. But Holyhead made a comeback the next season and they won the Quidditch Cup in 2009, the second Cup win for the Harpies since Ginny had joined the team in 1998.

Sirius and Zee took the kids for the night so that Harry and Ginny could have a night to celebrate Ginny winning the Quidditch Cup and after they celebrated all over the house, she lied in her husband's arms, snuggled against his chest.

"I can't believe we won again."

"I can," Harry said. "You're an incredible player, Gin. It boggles my mind that you haven't won every year."

She pinched his hip. "You are biased."

He kissed her brow, linking his fingers with hers over his abs. "Just a little."

Ginny kissed his chest. "This next season will be my tenth."

"I know," Harry said. "It's hard to believe, isn't it?"

"Yes," Ginny agreed. "Of course, I've missed huge chunks of three seasons of actual playing because of pregnancy, but I was still at the matches and… I've only got one year left on my contract."

"I'm sure Angelina can finagle you another deal. The Harpies will want to keep you, Gin. I doubt you'll be traded."

Ginny shook her head. "No, I don't think that."

Harry squeezed her fingers. "What then?"

"My contract expires in July of 2010 which is just before my twenty-ninth birthday and your thirtieth."

"And…?"

Ginny lifted her head to rest her chin on his chest. "Jamie will be six by then, Alby four, and Lily almost three… I'll have played professional Quidditch for twelve years."

"Are you talking about retiring?" Harry asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

Ginny bit her bottom lip. "Maybe… what do you think?"

Harry was quiet for a long moment. "I don't know," he admitted. "I mean, I suppose most players do retire somewhere between ten and fifteen years."

"Gwenog's taken over as our coach since she retired in '04 and it's good for her, but yeah, it takes a toll on your body being a professional athlete."

Harry kissed the top of her head. "Gin, if this is what you want, you know that I'm going to support you. You don't have to work at all if you don't want to."

"I know," Ginny said, tracing her fingertips into the grooves of his abs. "I think maybe I'd like to do something else eventually, but I think that when it gets closer, I'll think more about it. I just want to spend more time with our children and enjoy them, you know?"

Harry kissed the top of her head. "Whatever you want to do."

Ginny's fingers trailed a bit lower to squeeze him. "Then after I retire, maybe we can try for that magical number four?"

"Yeah?" he asked, a little breathlessly. "One more baby?"

"One more," Ginny agreed. "I think four is the perfect number, don't you?"

Her thumb brushed under the head of his cock and his breath hitched. "Yeah, that sounds perfect. Let's try for another girl. Two and two, you know?"

Ginny smiled, slowly kissing her way down his chest. She dragged her tongue over him, sneaking a look at him under her lashes. "After I retire."

"Deal," he murmured and then her mouth wrapped around him and Harry watched her in awe, falling more in love with her all over again.

When Ginny announced to the world in November of 2009 that the 2009-2010 Quidditch season was going to be her last, pandemonium broke out. Everyone wanted to know why she was retiring when she was at the top of her game. Ginny was determined to make sure that this last season was her absolute best one yet to show them that she was going out with a bang.

Harry had to admit, watching his wife play was one of the most exciting things he'd witnessed and knowing that it was her final season, he was determined to cheer her on louder than ever.

And it was one of her best played seasons.

She broke her own record, scoring over four hundred goals by March. Holyhead was on fire and everyone was convinced that they were going to take home the Cup again this year. With two months left in the season, Ginny was determined to keep her momentum going so when she found herself throwing up for the third day in a row, she buried her face in her hands.

"No," she whispered. "Baby number four isn't supposed to come yet."

But baby number four had decided to make an appearance whether they had planned for it or not. When Ginny visited Carmenta's Clinic to see Padma and get confirmation, the last thing she expected was for Padma to tell her number four had a friend.

"Twins?" Ginny exclaimed, her eyes widening. "Twins!"

Padma gave her a half smile. "They do run in your family, do they not?"

Ginny placed her hand over her flat stomach in astonishment. "Yes, but… bloody hell! I'm almost done my last season and… twins?"

Padma smiled. "Not the surprise you were expecting, I know. You can still play until the end of May."

"But if we make it to the playoffs, it will go into June," Ginny said. "I really wanted another Cup under my belt."

"If you make it to the playoffs, you'll be five months pregnant with twins, Ginny. Trust me, you won't be feeling up to flying on a broom and playing professional Quidditch."

When Ginny got home that night, she found Harry dancing in the kitchen to Abba's "Dancing Queen" with Lily on his hip as James and Albus danced around him. He had the boys 'helping' as he worked on dinner and Ginny stood in the doorway, watching her family with a soft smile on her face. His face lit up when he saw her.

"Hey, how was your day?"

"Good," she said, moving to kiss him and then each of her children. "Yours?"

"Good," he said. "It was nice to have the day off. Did you get all of your errands done?"

"Mostly," Ginny said, kissing him again before Albus demanded to be picked up. "I'll tell you later."

Harry nodded and together they danced and made dinner, listening to James' wild stories as Albus tried to talk over him and Lily babbled even louder over her brothers. They tucked Lily in first, all of them curling up under blankets on the floor as Harry read a bedtime story about a princess in a tower with long hair. Lily wanted a hug from 'Jawie' and then another one from 'Ahby' before she would settle. Albus and James kissed Lily goodnight, Albus calling out "Goodnight Wuddy!" in his adorable speech as he still struggled with the L sound and then the boys ran down the hall to their own bedroom. Ginny's heart melted every time she heard Lily and Alby's adorable names for their siblings. Harry and Ginny each kissed Lily, told her they loved her, and said goodnight.

Then came the job of getting the boys into bed.

James wanted to know what time Moopa and Mooma were picking up he and Alby tomorrow. Then he wanted to know if could ride Padpa's motorbike (no) and then he wanted to go to work with Zeema and play with the animals (maybe). By the time he asked for another story, Harry was getting frustrated with his questions. He brought him a glass of water and let him pick out a story, but then Albus wanted a different story so Harry read to Albus while Ginny read to James. Albus fell asleep nestled against his father so Harry carefully climbed out from under him and tucked in his son, planting a gentle kiss on his brow.

"I love you, Alby."

He kissed James goodnight and told him he loved him as James yawned it back to him while Ginny tucked him in.

"Dad, can we watch Mum's match on Saturday?"

"Absolutely," Harry promised. "Goodnight, Jamie."

"Goodnight," James murmured.

When they closed their door, Harry wrapped his arm around his wife's shoulders and led her downstairs. They took a seat on the chesterfield and put their feet up on the coffee table.

"I'm beat," Harry said. "It's funny how chasing bad guys all day isn't as exhausting as three kids under six."

Ginny chuckled. "It is funny." Ginny let out a slow breath before she turned to sneak a glance at her husband. "So speaking of kids… I'm pregnant."

Harry's eyes widened as he tilted her chin up to look into her eyes. "Seriously?"

Ginny nodded. "Seriously."

"But… we've been careful," Harry began. "We agreed that we'd start trying this summer, after you retire."

"We did," Ginny said. "But I guess Four decided to make an early appearance."

"Four," Harry whispered, his eyes softening. "Wow. Gin… we're having another baby! Lily needs a little sister, don't you think?"

Ginny kissed him. "She does. But um… that's not all."

He frowned, taking her hand. "What? Is everything all right? Are you all right?"

"Tired," Ginny admitted. "Happy. Excited. Terrified. It's not really how I imagined spending my final season. Padma says that I'll be able to play out the season, but if we make it to the play offs, I'll have to sideline myself."

"When you make to the playoffs, it's because you carried that team there, Captain Potter," Harry told her. "You've been killing it this year. You might even be able to make it into the coveted 'scored more than five hundred goals in one season spot.' We need to add another trophy to your collection and a Shepley would be incredible."

Ginny chuckled. "That would be a nice way to end my career."

Harry ran his hand up and down her arm. "Yeah. Wow, number four. It's what we always said. Four and done."

"We did," Ginny said, biting her bottom lip. "About that… how would you feel about five and done?"

Harry quirked an eyebrow. "What do you mean? You want to try for another one after this one?"

"No," Ginny said, carefully, her brown eyes meeting his. "I mean Four has a friend."

Harry gave her a bewildered look. "What?"

Ginny let out a small sigh. "We're having twins, Harry."

Harry's mouth dropped open in shock. "We're… what? Two? How?"

Ginny's lips twitched. "Well, it happens the same way."

"Twins?" he repeated, his eyes wide. "Twins?"

"Breathe, Harry," she said with a chuckle. "They do run in my family, you know?"

Harry pulled her more firmly into his lap and captured her mouth for a deep kiss. "We're having twins."

Ginny nodded, a soft smile on her face. "Surprise."

Harry goggled at her. "Merlin, wait until we tell your mum."

Ginny was rather looking forward to telling her family the news that she and Harry were having twins. She knew that her mother would be through the roof and she imagined Fred would have a lot to say since he was the only other one in the family to have twins.

Harry was still partially in shock. She'd caught him at least three times with his cheek pressed against her stomach, whispering that he couldn't believe Five had snuck in. She couldn't believe it either if she was honest. She'd always known that there was a possibility that she could have twins, but after having three perfect individual babies, she hadn't even considered it as a possibility.

When they arrived at the Burrow with plans to share the news, she was nervous the news might have already gotten out. For the most part, the media surrounding her and Harry had died down a lot after James had been born. It didn't seem like she was being followed as much, their pictures weren't everywhere, though still often enough to be annoying. But with her announcing her retirement from professional Quidditch, speculation had already started about what she would be doing when she was done.

Between Harry being voted the Sexiest Wizard Alive for the twelfth year in a row (much to his embarrassment and constant mocking from her brothers), Ginny announcing her retirement, and playing the best season of her life — everyone wanted to know what they were doing. Old photos of them were surfacing from their wedding photos, to snapshots caught of them over the years. It seemed like Harry and Ginny Potter were once again in the spotlight.

One Witch Weekly article claimed that Ginny was leaving Harry for Oliver Wood who was also leaving his wife, Katie, because they'd been spotted having tea together last week. Oliver was showing Ginny pictures of their boys: Rowan, who was almost one and his older brother Oakley who had just turned three. Harry had been spotted kissing Hannah Longbottom's cheek in Serendipity Sweets & Blooms and speculation followed that Harry and Hannah were having a torrid affair.

But the biggest splash had come out on Valentine's Day when a photo had been snapped of Harry kissing the cheek of a very pregnant Amanda Goldstein. Suddenly Mandy's baby was Harry's secret love child. Since Mandy and Tony were currently separated, it only added fuel to the fire with Harry being her ex boyfriend. Not to mention, the one thing the media was really good at doing, was pinpointing every time Ginny gained a little bit of weight. At two months along, she was hardly showing, but she had put on two and half kilograms and she swore it was all in her tits.

Harry buried his face in them every morning with a big smile. "Have I mentioned how brilliant it is that these get bigger every time you're pregnant?"

"You try running with big tits, Harry," she mumbled in annoyance until he'd kissed his way lower and made her forget that she was annoyed with him at all.

Molly hugged her when she arrived. "You look tired, dear."

"I am," Ginny admitted.

By the time dinner was served, it was chaos as always and everyone spoke over each other. Harry and Ginny were waiting to make their announcement, but Lily beat them to it.

"When Four and Five are born, I won't be a baby no more," Lily declared proudly at her Uncle Ron.

Ron quirked an eyebrow. "Four and Five?"

"Baby?" Molly said, zeroing in on them.

Ginny gave her mum a small smile. "Er, yes."

Everyone began to shout congratulations and talk over each other and when Harry finally said the words: It's twins — Molly squealed.

"Oh, Ginny!"

"What happened to waiting until Ginny retires?" George asked. "Wasn't that the plan? You two tossers were all 'we're having one more baby and it won't be until Ginny puts Quidditch behind her,' you said."

"Accident," Ron coughed.

"Everyone owes me ten Galleons!" Fred shouted.

"Why?" Ginny demanded.

Fred smirked. "Because I called it on you having twins. You two were way too set on only having four kids. No way was that actually happening. I bet everyone ten Galleons that your next baby would turn out to be two."

"Well, we're done after this," Harry said. "Five's a good number, right, Gin?"

"Agreed," she said.

Ginny talked to Angelina about her plans to finish out the season. "It will be sad if we make it to the playoffs and I have to spend those last games on the bench, but it will still be awesome."

"You'll make it," Harry assured her. "You have another cup to win, Potter."

Ginny beamed at him as Albus ran over to her and wanted up. It was going to be an exciting next few months.

Harry felt the same. He was still in shock over his wife being pregnant with twins, but the thought of having another baby put him completely over the moon. He never imagined that he would love being a dad so much, but it was his favourite thing in the whole world right next to being Ginny's husband and being an Auror rounded off third. It was just amazing to him. He loved seeing his kids faces when they discovered something new or when he came home and they were dying to tell him something. He loved every second of it. Being a dad was everything and being a godfather, well that was even cooler.

Harry made sure that Teddy knew that he had a cool godfather. They had a gents night once a month ever since his first birthday where Harry and Teddy spent an afternoon together. Harry didn't spoil him, but he didn't not spoil him either. They would go to a Muggle film or to play mini golf; spend a day at a bookstore (Teddy was an avid reader) or go to a Quidditch match. Harry loved those moments getting to know his godson and seeing him blossom into such a cool kid.

Then there were Mina and Leo. He considered them siblings, but they were close in age to Teddy so he tried to do some of the same things with them. He spent time with them and took them on afternoon adventures as well or even just spent three hours playing with them in the treehouse. He truly enjoyed every minute of it.

Sirius and Zee were just as excited with the news of twins, though Sirius made a comment about all of these grandchildren he was getting.

"I'm too sexy to be a Padpa of five, Harry," Sirius insisted. "I'm going to be fifty-one, not eighty-one."

"Look eighty-one to me," Harry teased, earning a punch to the shoulder from his godfather.

"Listen here, you brat," Sirius said, making Harry laugh.

"Padpa! Padpa! Padpa!" Lily cried, climbing into Sirius' lap. "Look!" Lily held up her unicorn plushie to him and Sirius' eyes softened. "Ahby has one too!"

"Does he?" Sirius asked, his eyes wide. "What kind of animal does Alby have?"

"Effphant!"

"An elephant?" Sirius exclaimed.

"Wuddy!" Albus cried, running towards his sister. Despite his L sounds doing better, the adorable nickname had stuck around and Harry and Ginny didn't have the heart to break it. The two of them were incredibly close and it was adorable how they called for each other.

Sirius scooped Albus up into his arms as well and Harry couldn't help but smile at how incredible he was with the kids. Mina and Leo were in their second year at Hogwarts already and Sirius and Zee spent a lot of their child-free time helping with their grand babies. If Harry didn't know they loved it, he might feel more guilty about it.

Ginny kept up her season and when she played in her final match as a Holyhead Harpy on the twenty-eighth of May, 2010, she was four months pregnant. Holyhead was going to the playoffs and Ginny had scored a whopping five hundred and eight goals this season. It was one of her best seasons yet and when she went home with her husband, she told him that she didn't regret anything.

May of 2010 also brought another surprise to everyone. Fred and Fiadh had finally decided to get married. They had eloped in secret on a weekend getaway with no one present except George, Angelina, Donal, Siobhan, and Tiernan.

Molly was not at all pleased to have missed her son's wedding.

Fred told her not to worry about it because they were finally married and no longer living in sin with their four children. Molly only glared at him in response. They had an outdoor party at their home in Berwick-upon-tweed to celebrate their wedding.

Holyhead continued to do well in the playoffs as Ginny watched from the sidelines, coaching and mentoring her team as their team captain. When they won the Quidditch Cup against Pride of Portree, she was screaming and crying along with her team down in the middle of the pitch.

Harry had run out onto the pitch with their kids along with the other spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, and family members and kissed his wife senseless. The photo of him standing in the middle of the pitch, his mouth locked on his wife's with their kids around them had been on the front of most papers and magazines for weeks afterwards.

With Ginny officially retired after winning the Cup, Harry decided that he wanted to make a treehouse for his kids. He wanted something as amazing as the one he'd grown up with and was determined to make it even better. He asked Sirius for help along with Greg Goyle, and the three of them put their heads together to design something for the garden of Clevedon Court. It took the whole summer to design it and put it together and when it was done, it rivalled the one at Black Cottage.

Harry stared up at the massive treehouse, a huge smile on his face. It was built across four huge trees on the other side of the garden across from the stable. It was a mini kingdom much like the one that Harry had grown up with but on an even bigger scale as it had two clubhouses on either side and each were designed to look like a mini castle. The clubhouse was two levels with bunkbeds built right into the walls, four on each side.

The treehouse on the left was designed to look like a prince's castle with turrets. It had three towers, all with rock climbing walls up the sides, and the top of each tower had a set of stationary omnioculars, a flag, and a fireman's pole. A net bridge led to a second clubhouse that was designed to look more like a princess castle, but both castles had four bunkbeds built into each wall, a giant treasure chest inside to be filled with toys, one wall made of chalkboard, bookshelves, and a chess table.

The roof of both clubhouses had a pirate ship much like the one that Sirius had built him many years ago, but it also had sails (that could be clipped into place as a tarp in the rain), a telescope, an easel, and a large canon that would fire water balloons.

The princess castle on the right had a huge deck that surrounded it with a trapdoor that led to a set of monkey bars all under the deck. While the prince castle on the left had a secret tunnel passageway that went right into the trunk of a tree and underground to a spiral staircase with a trapdoor that led them back up into the garden. The princess castle also had a drawbridge that could be lowered and raised by a large wheel that really opened another trapdoor in the back and revealed a slide. There was a four-sided rope ladder on one end of the princess castle and net tunnel that went from one pirate ship to the other.

The mini kingdom was high in the trees with the lowest level being about one and a half metres off of the ground. There were windows and shutters, mushroom shaped stools, a large tic-tac-toe board with blocks that could be rolled into place on the wall, a hopscotch under the bridge, and next to the prince's castle was a swing set and a merry-go-round.

It was truly extraordinary.

"Damn," Sirius said, shoving his hands into his pockets. "And I thought I spoiled the shit out of you."

Harry grinned. "I may have gone overboard."

"May have?" Sirius teased. "Your kids are going to love this. Hell, they won't love the one at Padpa and Zeema's anymore."

"Not true," Harry said. "Jamie, Alby, and Lily love it when you camp out there with them at night."

Sirius smiled. "So do I, but this… it's fucking brilliant."

"I mean, we don't know if we'll have any more girls," Harry began. "But Lily will want to have her friends over too and having you know, two castles, made more sense. This way they can branch off with their friends and cousins."

"They do have a lot of cousins," Sirius teased.

Harry grinned when Sirius put his arm around him. "All right, so it's top of the line, built and designed by a professional construction worker and brilliant, right?"

"Very," Sirius agreed. "Have you let Ginny see how astronomical this?"

"Who do you think talked me into the princess castle?" Harry said with a laugh. "Apparently girls want time away from their brothers sometimes."

"She would know best," Sirius agreed. "All right, let me get Zee, Remus, and Tonks here. We're not missing you showing the kids."

Twenty minutes later, Remus and Tonks came out into the garden with Albus and Lily and Zee followed with James and Ginny.

"Come here," Harry said with a wide smile. "Mummy and Daddy have a surprise for you."

"What kind of surprise?" James asked, running towards him.

"Is it sweets?" Albus asked.

"I want a sweet!" Lily shouted.

"No sweets," Harry said. "It's better."

He scooped Lily up into his arms and kissed her cheek.

"Now, Daddy's going to raise his wand and on the count of three, you're all going to yell, 'surprise' and it's going to be revealed. Are you ready?"

"Ready!" They shouted, their little faces dancing in excitement.

"One," Harry began, his smile huge as he winked at his wife. "Two. Three."

"Surprise!" James, Albus, and Lily all shouted.

Harry took down the disillusionment charm that was hiding the fort and treehouses and Lily shrieked.

"It's so pretty!" She practically dived out of Harry's arms as she made a run for it with James and Albus running after her.

Ginny slipped her arm around Harry's waist and rested her head against his shoulder. "We went overboard."

"Completely," he agreed. "Regrets?"

Ginny's lips curved. "Not one."

Remus came to stand next to them. "That's amazing."

"Pretty great, right?" Harry said, grinning at his father.

Remus wrapped his arm around Harry. "You are an amazing father, Harry. These kids are bloody lucky to have you."

Harry snuck a look at Remus and then over at where Sirius and Zee were pushing Lily on the swing as James and Tonks were on the rope bridge.

"I learned from the best," he said.

Ginny wrapped her hand in his and brought it to her lips. "Pretty soon we'll be adding two more to this madhouse."

Remus chuckled and kissed Ginny's forehead and then Harry's. "And you'll both do it brilliantly."

Then he hurried off to join his grandchildren and Harry watched with a smile.

He couldn't wait.

September 2010 brought the Quidditch League Awards and this year it was not only Ginny's last year attending, but it was her best year yet. Ginny took home an award for Most Extraordinary Player of the Year Award, Best Chaser Award, Best Team Captain (second year in a row), Josef Wronski Award for Excellent Pitch Skills, and the one Harry had been waiting on, the Shepley Hogan Excellence Award. Shepley Hogan was the first ever Chaser to score more than five hundred points in one season. Since then, every player who achieved this has won an award in his honour. Ginny was only the fifth player in three hundreds years to achieve it.

She was thirty-two weeks pregnant when she stood up to accept the trophy while cameras flashed around her at the awards. Harry thought she looked breathtaking in her emerald green evening gown. Her long red hair flowed over her shoulders in thick curls as she held her hands over her large stomach, her engagement ring and wedding band shining brightly on her hand.

"Thank you," Ginny said to the crowd. "It's been an incredible honour to play for the Holyhead Harpies. For those of you that don't know, I'm about a month away from popping out twins, so forgive me if I don't look my best tonight."

Someone whistled and Ginny winked.

"Thank you. The last twelve years have been a dream come true for me. Playing for Holyhead was always my dream, especially getting the chance to play with someone like Gwenog Jones. She was my hero growing up and having her be our coach when she retired meant even more to me. I want to thank Gwenog for believing in me, my girls for being the best team I could ever ask for, and I want to thank my incredible husband, Harry. Harry always believed in me and supported me and when I told him I wanted to retire, he only told me that it was my choice. Thank you for being my everything, Harry." She blew him a kiss and then held up the award before slowly moving down off of the stage.

Harry helped her back into her seat and kissed her, ignoring the flashes of photography around them. "I'm so bloody proud of you," he said, kissing her again. "You won a bloody Shepley Hogan, Gin!"

Ginny pressed the trophy into Harry's hands as he stared down at her in awe and she grinned. "I sure did."

And a little over three weeks later, on the twenty-first of October 2010, Ginny gave birth to Four and Five: A beautiful baby girl followed by a beautiful baby boy. Harry cried as he held one in each arm, overwhelmed at the thought of them. Everyone came in to meet the newest additions to the Potter family and when Theo and Sebastian arrived, Theo beamed at them.

"We share a birthday!" he exclaimed brightly. "You picked a great day, chick."

Ginny chuckled. "I hardly chose the day. Come meet them," she said, urging them forward. "This is Everett Arthur Potter."

"Hi, Everett," Theo said, beaming down at the light peach fuzz on the little boy's head.

"And this," Harry said proudly, holding out the little girl to show Theo. "Is Ella otherwise known as Cedrella Theodora Potter."

Tears welled up in Theo's eyes as he looked between Harry and Ginny in awe. "Theodora?"

Ginny smiled. "Seemed fitting since they arrived on your birthday and all."

"And since Theo is already godfather to Alby," Harry continued. "We thought maybe Bas might want to be godfather to Theo's namesake."

Sebastian's eyes widened in surprise. "Me? Wow. I'd be honoured."

Harry carefully played Ella into Sebastian's arms with a smile. "Meet your godfather, Ella. This is your Uncle Bas."

Theo snuggled into his husband's side as they beamed down at the little girl and Harry pressed a kiss to Everett's head while Ginny held him. He couldn't imagine being any happier than he was in this moment.

After three kids, adding a few more was barely noticeable. Life was chaotic at best with two dogs, a pgymy puff, and five kids and that wasn't even including the stray kitten Albus had found and slept with whom he named Jinx or the horses they took care of or the owl.

But it was their life and Harry wouldn't change any of it.

Ella stole his heart just as quickly as Lily had and Lily was completely smitten with her new baby brother and sister. Everett had his own little personality and his eyes lit up whenever Harry came into the room and he couldn't help but fall more in love with both of them every minute of every day. He relished in the moments that he could just sit, holding a baby against either side of his chest; usually with Lily snuggled on his lap as well.

Harry and Ginny were both taking the contraception potions again and they spoke about Harry getting a vasectomy. Five was a great number (one more than they'd planned after all) and they were happy. Things were looking good.

When the twins were six months old, Harry finally made an appointment at St Mungo's to get a vasectomy done. Ron had also decided to do so, so they went together, their wives teasing them about it.

"Hermione's the one who's making me do it," Ron protested. "Then she bloody teases me for wanting moral support from my best friend while it happens. Why does that warrant teasing? A healer is going to be snipping something in my bollocks… I need bloody support!"

Harry reached out to take Ron's hand. "She's not making you do it, Ron. You agreed to it after hearing that it's a lot easier for blokes."

"Fine, yeah, I don't want Hermione to go through it," Ron replied. "We have three and we couldn't be happier. Granger was a happy accident as it was."

Harry chuckled. He'd been more than happy to tease his best mate about that one.

They sat in the waiting room together and then each went in to see their respective healers for the operation. Harry drank the potion offered to numb everything and then he lied back on the bed and let them do their thing. When it was over, the healer gave him a reassuring smile.

"All done, Mr Potter. Now, you'll be a bit tender for the next day or so. We ask that you take it easy for at least a week. No heavy lifting which I'm afraid means your kids. Don't jostle too much and no sexual activity for at least three weeks."

"Three weeks?" Harry said. "That seems excessive."

The healer chuckled. "There might be some bruising or swelling. Ice it if necessary and get some rest. All will be good."

"And this is it? I won't have to do anything else?" Harry asked.

"No," he assured him. "There's a one to two percent chance of pregnancy occurring after this operation, but it's extremely rare, Mr Potter. You and your wife won't need to worry about potions or charms as long as you let yourself heal properly. Let your body tell you."

Harry thanked him and then headed out to meet Ron.

Ron gave him a grimace when he caught sight of him. "Well, mate, want to go ice our bollocks together?"

Harry laughed and put his arm around Ron's shoulders. "Yeah, yeah I do."

Ginny found her husband and brother sitting on the sofa in the living room, each with a bag of charmed frozen peas sitting on their groins. She raised an eyebrow in amusement as she carried Ella and Everett in her arms.

"Are you boys having fun in here?"

"Fun?" Ron grimaced. "We got our bloody bollocks snipped off. It wasn't fun!"

Ginny gave her brother a pointed look. "If they snipped them clean off, you had the wrong procedure, Ron."

Ron shot up two fingers and Ginny bent down to kiss Harry.

"You all right?"

"Sore," he admitted. "But I'll be good. Give me my kids."

Ginny carefully placed a baby in the crook of each arm. "Don't stand with them. I don't need you hurting yourself."

Harry promised not to do so as Ron shifted and groaned.

"Fuck me, my bollocks hurt."

"I'm trying not to think about it," Harry admitted.

When the rest of the Weasley men arrived ten minutes later, Harry tried not to roll his eyes.

Bill was grinning at them. "Should have known you two would find a way to get this done together."

"Piss off, Bill," Ron said. "My bollocks hurt."

"And we weren't together during the procedure," Harry protested. "We just supported each other before and after."

"Sometimes I forget who's married to who," Fred teased.

Bill gave Harry a sympathetic look. "You'll be sore for about a week and then you'll be fine. I had it done after Tristan was born."

"I had one as well after Lucy," Percy said. "It's perfectly normal."

Ron grimaced. "Did we say it wasn't normal?"

"Fiadh made me go after Fox," Fred said. "It's not our fault that us Weasleys are so fertile."

George grimaced. "I hope Ange doesn't make me go. We've decided to try to have one more."

Harry shifted and Bill reached down to pick up Everett. "Thanks, Bill."

"Guess that means no more accidents for Harry and Ginny," George teased. "That's a shame. I bet Fred number six would arrive before Harry turned thirty-three. Ginny threw a wrench in that bet with this plan."

"Yeah, we're not having six kids," Harry said. "Four was our plan and we were blessed with five. We're done. That's why I had the procedure."

"Did the healer tell you that you'll need help holding your cock when you piss?" Fred teased. "You and Ron can take turns helping each other out."

Ron stuck his tongue out at his brother. "Jealous because I asked Harry to hold my cock while I piss and not you?"

Fred scoffed. "Are you jealous because Harry asked Theo to hold his instead of you?"

"No, he didn't!" Ron exclaimed before he turned to look at Harry. "Did you?"

Harry rolled his eyes. "First of all, I can hold my own bloody prick while I piss and no, of course I didn't ask Theo."

"I mean good, of course," Ron said as his brothers laughed. "I just meant, we're in this together is all. Of course, I'd do it if you asked."

"I think he wants you to ask, Harry," Fred teased.

Ron shot up two fingers. "Shut up, Fred! That's not what I mean!"

George snorted. "Why do I feel like these next few days are going to be fun?"

Fun wasn't exactly how Harry would phrase it. He woke up sore, his balls swollen and he told Ginny that he would give her the world when she brought him a bag of peas that she placed a freezing charm on.

"Poor baby," she teased, kissing his cheek. "Want me to kiss it better?"

"You have no bloody idea how badly I wish you could," Harry said.

Ginny pulled his pyjama bottoms down to check him over before carefully giving him the frozen charmed peas. "You'll live."

Harry was most certainly feeling better by the two week mark which is why two days later he was holding his wife's hips as she rode him on the sofa in their bedroom. He reached up to play with her tits while she bounced on him and when he came, she followed with a soft smile.

"All good?"

Harry sucked on her breast before he took her lips again. "I don't know. We might have to do it again, just to be sure."

Ginny laughed when he pulled her down to their bedroom floor twenty minutes later and took her all over again.

So when the twins celebrated their first birthday six months later, the last thing Harry expected was for Ginny to tell him that she was pregnant.

"I'm sorry, what?" Harry said, shaking his head. "I don't think I heard you correctly."

"I'm pregnant," Ginny repeated, holding a hand over her stomach.

Harry stared at her, his mouth opening and closing in surprise. "But… how?"

Ginny blew her hair out of her eyes. "If my calculations are correct, I believe it was the night we got drunk on sangria and had sex in the garden."

Harry's mouth opened again before he closed it, shaking his head. Remus and Tonks had taken Jamie, Alby, and Lily for the night while Sirius and Zee had taken Ella and Everett. They'd had the house to themselves for the first time in forever and Ginny had made a huge batch of white sangria. They'd drank it on a blanket spread out on the pitch in the garden and played a game of Strip Secrets. The sangria had been half gone by the time they'd been shagging.

Strip Secrets was a game the two of them had made up a few years ago. It involved them sharing intimate thoughts about each other and if the person knew the secret already (which nine times out of ten they did since they tended to share everything with each other) they lost an article of clothing. Harry had taken her from behind on the blanket before they hopped on Ginny's broom and gone for a naked fly that resulted in them on the area of the roof where he'd first proposed. Ginny rode him as he stood with his back pressed against the window and then they'd had sex a third time on the sofa in the living room. It had been a really good night and that hadn't even included the hours he'd spent with his tongue buried inside of her. He'd gotten her up to sixteen and was immensely proud of himself.

Harry shook the memories from his head, trying to wrap his mind around her words.

"But-but-but I had a vasectomy!"

Ginny nodded, moving to sit sideways in her husband's lap. "Yes, and I guess we're lucky enough to fall into that extremely rare one to two percent chance of still being fertile. I… they did say three weeks after, right? We were a few days early."

"Like four bloody days!" Harry exclaimed. "And I felt fine!"

"Too fine, apparently," Ginny replied.

"Bloody buggering hell," Harry grumbled.

Ginny pecked him on the lips. "Yeah, that's what I thought."

Harry sighed and pressed his lips to her forehead. "Six." He placed his hands over her flat stomach. "Hey, Six. You certainly are a big surprise to me and your mum. I have a feeling that's going to be your thing, isn't it?"

Ginny chuckled, linking her fingers with his. "Don't say that. Jamie already keeps us on our toes enough as it is."

"That's because Fred and George are his favourite uncles," Harry accused. "And you know that I'm right, Six is going to be trouble. I can feel it."

"Me too," Ginny said with a smile. "But I think we can handle it."

Harry kissed her smartly on the mouth. "As long as I have you, we can handle anything, Gin."

They took the ribbing with a smile when they announced their pregnancy at Molly's sixtieth birthday dinner at the end of the month which Molly shared with her namesake who turned eleven. Since Lily would be turning four years old four days later, they added a cake for her since the family was all together. When George shouted victory at winning the bet after all, Harry only shook his head.

"Looks like Ange and I won't be giving mum the final grandchild after all," George teased.

Harry held his wife on his lap. "All right, you win. We're having six after all."

"But this is it," Ginny insisted.

"Absolutely," Harry agreed before he turned his wife's chin and kissed her deeply.

He wouldn't change his family for the world.

15 November 2011…

When Harry headed into work a few weeks later, he had no way of knowing that the new case to cross his desk was going to change his world.

"Have you seen this?" Ron asked, plopping himself down in the chair across from Harry's desk and pointing to the folder Robards had handed him when he walked in. "There are some sick people in this world, mate."

Harry took the folder from Ron, wrinkling his nose as he flipped through it. His heart stopped when he read the words.

"Someone's kidnapping kids?"

Ron nodded. "Two have gone missing so far. No sign of them. MPU think it's one person. Robards wants us to look into it."

Harry skimmed over the file, his brow furrowing before he grabbed his cloak. "Yeah, let's go talk to MPU and see what's going on. How long have they been missing?"

"Going on fourteen hours," Ron said.

Harry's stomach plummeted. When a child was missing for that long, it wasn't a good sign. The chances of finding them became much slimmer with every passing hour.

"Come on. We don't have a lot of time then."

Harry and Ron headed out to talk to the parents of the children who had gone missing; asking them to reissue their statements one by one to make sure that nothing was missed. They coordinated with the MPU officers in charge and with the MPD (Missing Persons Division) who was taking the case full on.

"Auror Potter, Auror Weasley," a blonde woman with a tight smile said as she reached out to shake Harry's hand. "I'm Auror Nicki Kit, thank you for agreeing to assist."

"Of course," Ron said, shaking her hand. "Can we ask why you requested the DAU on this case?"

Kit pursed her lips into a tighter expression. "I reached out to Robards for assistance because we found something unsettling and we think that it might pertain to these missing kids. Come with me."

Harry exchanged a look with Ron as they headed into the conference room to look at her board.

"As you can see, we have two missing children here, both boys and brothers ages seven and five. They disappeared from Diagon Alley. From what we managed to get from surveillance charms, they disappeared into Knockturn Alley from Diagon Alley which unfortunately has zero surveillance charms. However, within an hour of the boys disappearing, we found this behind Borgin and Burkes."

Harry moved closer to the photo, trying to look at what the dark photo was showing. It was dark but there was a large dumpster in the corner with what looked like piles of blankets and some rats on the ground He watched as Auror Kit lifted the blankets with her wand in the photo, revealing what looked like body parts, and winced.

"Black market?"

"Bloody hell," Ron grumbled. "Every time I think we shut this shit down, it springs back up again."

"The black market is a possibility," Kit said. "These are severed and they were left here to be found. There was almost no evidence of attempting to conceal it, but rather left out in the open."

"They're small," Harry said, paling. "You think it's a child."

"The evidence is being assessed right now and it's proven to belong to a twelve-year-old-girl. We don't yet know who she is," Kit said. "But the fact that it was found close to where the these boys went missing… we're not taking any chances that this isn't connected. I told Robards I needed the DAU collaborating with me on this. I specialize in the missing, not in the dead."

Harry nodded. "Absolutely. All right, we've spoken to the parents. Fill us in on the rest."

By the time he and Ron were up to speed, Harry had to admit, he didn't like that there was even a possible link between these two cases. It was bad enough that children were involved at all, but this… it didn't sit well with him. He paced back and forth in front of the board and talked aloud at Ron to try to get a feel for what was happening.

"All right, so the missing boys are Jasper and Darius Bole, ages eight and five. They've been missing for sixteen hours and eight minutes. They were last seen in Diagon Alley near Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions with their mother, Laila Shafiq Bole. Parents are Laila and Lucian Bole, both were married in December of 1996 under Voldemort's forced pureblood marriage pacts. They separated in 2000 for two years where Laila kept full custody of their eldest son, Nathaniel who was born 11/10/1997. They reunited in '02 and decided to make the marriage work before they had their second son, Jasper in '04. Is the fact that they're pureblood significant?"

"We think so," Kit said. "It's extremely rare for children of pure blood to be kidnapped in the magical world."

"Why?" Ron asked, furrowing his brow.

"We don't know for sure," Kit began. "But I think law enforcement as a whole kind of thinks people tend to leave pureblood children alone because they are so rare in our community."

"Not so rare anymore," Harry said. "Voldemort's marriage pacts resulted in a lot of new purebloods being born. The last decade has shown a significant baby boom as a result."

"This is true," Kit said.

Harry and Ron talked over a few more things pertaining to what they knew about the case before they headed down into evidence to see what they could dig up on the Bole family. While both Lucian Bole and his wife Laila Shafiq Bole had been drafted into this forced marriage pact by Voldemort, there was no evidence that suggested either of them were true followers of his. They'd both been interviewed after the war but had no direct ties to Death Eater activities and had been left alone to get on with their lives.

"Do you think that it could be because they weren't charged with anything?" Ron asked. "Kind of like a revenge thing?"

"Like someone sees them as Death Eaters who got away?"

"Yeah," Ron said. "They were part of Voldemort's sick pureblood breeding thing, but they were never formerly charged with being Death Eaters. Neither of them served prison time or were fined. Maybe someone sees that as unfair."

Harry looked pensive for a moment. "All right. I could see that as being a motive, but why go after the boys?"

"Eldest is at Hogwarts so why not go after the two youngest ones? It would get attention."

"But why?" Harry asked again. "What would taking the boys get them?"

"I don't know, mate," Ron admitted.

Harry thought that Ron's theory might have some merit so they dug through records on everyone who was part of Voldemort's marriage pacts to see what happened to them. He and Ron worked together to go through Voldemort's list and put everyone up on their own board to study.

Going through the marriage pacts brought up memories of how many people had left Hogwarts after the winter holiday of his sixth year. It had been alarming when they'd returned in January to see a good chunk of their classmates gone and to read their names aloud in the Daily Prophet proclaiming that they'd been married off.

Harry opened the first file and took out the photos as he spoke. "All right so our first couple is Titus Avery Junior who was forty when he married fourteen-year-old Scarlett Lympsham in '96. Both were proven to be Death Eaters and sentenced to life in prison for their crimes. Their daughter, Charlotte Rose Avery was born 09/10/1997 and was adopted by Emmeline and Mona Vance in '99. Charlotte Vance, as she's now known, is in her third year at Hogwarts."

"First, ew," Ron said, wrinkling his nose. "Forty and fourteen is just ugh. And if Charlotte's at Hogwarts, are we assuming that we can cross her off the list?"

"Let's put the kids who are at Hogwarts on a different board," Harry suggested. "I don't know if we should write them off completely."

Ron nodded as Harry added Charlotte's picture to the board with Nathaniel Bole.

"All right, next up in the Avery family is Aelius. He was twenty when he married eighteen-year-old Dasha Dolohov, the niece of Antonin. They had one son, Dmitri Aelius, born 03/03/1997 which puts him in his fourth year at Hogwarts," Harry said, putting Dmitri's photo up on the Hogwarts board. "Dasha was questioned after the war but found to have no ties to Death Eater activity. However, her husband, Aelius, was sent to the Azkaban Crypt for ten years. He was released in '08 after serving his sentence without incident and has seemingly moved back in with his wife and son. Aelius works as a maintenance worker in the Ministry of Magic while Dasha is a chef at Apricity Spread. The two of them are also raising Dasha's great-nephew, Alexander Dolohov."

"Dolohov," Ron said, picking up the photo of Alexander. "He can join his cousin? Brother? Damn, this incestuous mixing is getting confusing — let's say cousin. Alexander, born 11/10/1997, is the son of Antonin Dolohov and Calypso Fields who were both given life in Azkaban for their crimes. He's in his third year."

Harry picked up the next file. "Aeliana is the last of the Averys to be in the marriage pact. She was eighteen when she married seventeen-year-old Holden Ledbury. They had one daughter whom they named Evelynn Aeliana on 03/10/1997. Holden was captured in June of '97 and sent to Azkaban after getting both of his legs crushed in the attack on Hogwarts. He was given ten years for his crimes. He spends his time now as a volunteer at St Mungo's to help other people who have lost limbs deal with their loss and move on with their lives. Aeliana divorced him soon after he went to prison. She was part of the group who stayed at Wiltshire with Malfoy and Zabini and their daughter was adopted by Emmeline and Mona Vance in '98 after both parents signed off on the adoption. Evelynn Vance, as she's now known, is also a third year at Hogwarts and it looks like Aeliana took off for America in the summer of '98 and has never returned to England."

"Can't say I blame her," Ron muttered. "All right, next up is Marcus Belby. He was seventeen when he married seventeen-year-old Marian Lofthouse. It looks like they had one son, Bennett Marcus Belby, born 07/10/1997, which puts him in the third year category of Hogwarts. Belby was released on early parole last year for good behaviour and is currently employed in the maintenance department of the Ministry of Magic. Marian is a magi-architect for the Ministry and oh, she must have taken him back because they welcomed a daughter on the seventh of June: Blake Alexandra Belby."

"All right, add Bennett to the Hogwarts board, but Blake can join this one. If she's not at the school, she's a potential victim," Harry said as Ron did as he was told. "Next we have the Crabbes. Vincent Crabbe Senior was forty-four when he married fourteen-year-old Loretta Cornhill."

"Ew," Ron said again, making Harry's lips twitch.

"Crabbe Senior was given life in prison for his crimes and Loretta was also found guilty of Death Eater activity and given twenty years. They had one son, Edward Vincent, born 27/09/1997, which puts him in his third year at Hogwarts and unfortunately with no one to raise him, he was sent to the Cambridge Home, the orphanage that was rebuilt and restructured after the war."

Ron added Edward's photo to the Hogwarts board as he spoke. "Vincent Crabbe Junior was sixteen when he married twenty-year-old Olivia Rowle. They were both accused of Death Eater activity and given life in prison. They had one son, Richard Vincent, born 03/10/1997, and with no one to raise him, he joined his cousin? Brother? Half-brother? Uncle? Fuck me, his whatever Edward at the Cambridge Home. He's a third year."

"Is this a he's his own grandpa kind of story?" Baxter asked as he stepped into the conference room with a tray of fresh coffee and a box of danishes.

"Eric, my man, have I told you much I adore you today?" Ron asked, reaching for the danishes.

"Not yet, but my heart's all a flutter," Baxter said, passing Harry a coffee. "How's it going in here?"

"We're going through the marriage pacts of '96 and organizing the kids who might be potential victims," Harry said. "Thanks for this. How's the search going?"

"Kit has MPU helping her patrol, but nothing yet. She did find a witness who thinks she saw two boys matching the Boles' description with a teenager. Kit's looking into it," Baxter said.

Harry nodded and took a drink of the coffee before he picked up the next file. "All right, next we have Crouch."

"Have I mentioned how glad I am that crazy bastard is dead?" Ron said, shoving a second danish into his mouth. "He was batshit."

"His death was one of the more gruesome things I've ever witnessed," Baxter admitted. "And no one deserved it more."

"Is it true that he actually castrated himself?" Ron asked.

"Impaled himself prick first," Baxter said. "His bollocks were barely attached and his prick was split open like a sliced banana… karma if you ask me."

"Sadistic bastard," Ron said, shaking his head. "He had two wives because of fucking course he did. First was seventeen-year-old Millicent Bulstrode who gave him a daughter, Claire Mabel born 04/10/1997, but he also married fourteen-year-old Hestia Carrow. Again I saw: Ew."

"Carrow… that's the daughter of Amycus, right?" Baxter asked.

Harry nodded. "Yeah and she had a twin sister, Flora, who married into the Rowle family."

Ron swallowed down another bite of danish, thankfully before he continued talking. "Hestia gave him two daughters. The first was Emery Helen born 12/10/1997, and the second was born Callidora Kathleen on 17/09/1998. Hestia and Millicent were both part of the rescue operation who were moved into Wiltshire with Malfoy and Zabini. It looks like despite being married to that fuckwit, the two of them decided to keep the Crouch name and married each other in June of 2005."

"I remember reading about that," Harry said. "I think Theo was the one who told me that they decided to keep the surname Crouch in an attempt to make the name the noble one that it had once been."

"Good luck to them," Ron replied. "Millicent works in the Ludicrous Patents Office in the Ministry of Magic and Hestia in the Apparition Test Centre. Claire and Emery are fourth years and Callidora is in third."

Harry added their photos to the Hogwarts side as he spoke. "Peregrine Derrick was twenty-two when he married twenty-four-year-old Laura Bole. They had one daughter, Violet Laura, born 12/06/1997, fourth year. Both of her parents were convicted of Death Eater activity and sentenced to twenty-years in Azkaban so she resides in the Cambridge Home."

"Next up is Greengrass," Ron said, flipping open the next file. "Gareth Greengrass II was twenty-one when he married seventeen-year-old Giselle Bonaccord. They had one son, Preston Gareth on 01/08/1997, who is a fourth year at Hogwarts. Giselle was found innocent of all Death Eater activity and it looks like despite Preston attending Hogwarts, they reside in France where Giselle works for the administration department of the French Ministry. Gareth II was sentenced to life in prison along with his father, Octavius Greengrass and his grandfather, Gareth I."

"Octavius' two daughters, Daphne and Astoria, were never convicted of Death Eater activity," Harry continued. "Astoria was sent to Wiltshire for protection in late '97 and Daphne was part of the marriage pact, marrying Atticus Macnair in the summer of '98. She was nineteen when she married and Macnair was seventy-five."

"Old ball sack," Ron said. "Lucky her."

"They're still married," Harry said. "No children between them. Astoria married Draco Malfoy in '04 and their son Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy was born 06/01/2006."

"Are you considering Scorpius to be part of the second board?" Ron asked.

Harry frowned. "At this point, it's a connection that I'm not going to risk passing up."

Ron nodded and added Scorpius to the board as Harry continued on to the next file.

"Pansy Parkinson and Greg Goyle were both found innocent of all Death Eater charges, despite Greg's small stint in Azkaban during the war. They have five children: Grayson Gregory born 28/09/1997, Gabriel Gregory born 28/08/1998, Gavin Gregory born 28/04/2000, Grant Gregory born 28/01/2002, and Giselle Galilea born 30/06/2005. Grayson is a third year, Gabriel a second year, but Gavin, Grant, and Giselle can be moved to the second board. Greg opened his own construction company in '06 called Goyle and Sons Construction. Pansy owns the lingerie shop Sophistication by Pansy in Apricity Lane," Harry said. "Baxter, if anything comes up with them, Ron and I are friends so you'll have to take point."

"Noted," Baxter said. "Who comes after Goyle?"

"Lestrange," Ron said. "There were two marriages within the Lestrange family. First was sixteen-year-old Ophelia Rowle who married thirty-six-year-old Rabastan Lestrange. Again with the ick here. Rabastan was killed in the Battle of Hogwarts and Ophelia was sentenced to twenty-five years in Azkaban. They had one son Roland Rabastan, born 01/10/1997, who resides in the Cambridge Home but is currently a third year at Hogwarts. The second marriage was between seventeen-year-old Isabella Shafiq and forty-five-year-old Rodolphus Lestrange who was in fact already married to Bellatrix at the time. Seriously, so disturbing on so many levels," Ron said, shaking his head. "They had one daughter, Camilla Bella, born 28/11/1997. Isabella was murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange shortly after giving birth and Rodolphus was given life in prison for his crimes, on top of the sentence he still had to serve for his first imprisonment in which he escaped. Camilla resides in Cambridge Home and is in her third year at Hogwarts."

"Next up is Xander Lofthouse who was seventeen when he married his fourteen-year-old-wife Juliet Parks. They were both part of Wiltshire and found innocent of all Death Eater activity," Harry said. "Despite the forced marriage act, they actually seem to be happy and in love. They have five daughters: Penelope Juliet, born 04/10/1997, Alexandra Juliet born 01/01/2000, Paisley Marian born 04/06/2003, and fraternal twins Ocean Alexandra and Quinlee Julia born 07/07/2006. Penelope is in third year and Alexandra is a first year at Hogwarts. Juliet works as an advocatus for Smith and Davis Magical Law in Diagon Alley and Xander works as head of security at the bar and restaurant known as Obscure in Apricity Lane."

Ron nodded, moving the younger three daughters photos to the second board as Harry added the elder two to the Hogwarts one. Ron reached for a third danish and pushed one at Harry.

Harry took a bite automatically, grateful Ron knew him well enough to force it on him so that he would eat. "Castor Parkinson, father of Pansy Goyle, was forty-five when he married for the second time to twenty-year-old Beatrice Macnair. Castor was given multiple life sentences with no chance of parole, but Beatrice was cleared of all charges laid against her. They have one son, Pierce Castor, born 15/08/1997, who is a fourth year at Hogwarts and the half-brother of Pansy Goyle. Beatrice works as a cashier in Flourish and Blotts and despite keeping the Parkinson name, divorced Parkinson in '01 but has never remarried."

Ron added Pierce to the Hogwarts board before he reached for the next file. "Graham Pritchard was fourteen when he married his fifteen-year-old wife Shanae Templeton. They were part of the rescue group at Wiltshire and were cleared of all Death Eater activity. They are another couple who are actually doing really well. They have a home in Hogsmeade and opened a bed and breakfast from it in '08 called The Tea Inn. They have three kids: Henry Graham, born 01/10/1997, Hendrix Shane, born 04/05/2002, and Hadley Grace, born 05/04/2005. Henry is a third year at Hogwarts, but Hendrix and Hadley can be added to the second board. It looks like Graham and Shanae are also raising their nephew, Thomas Rowle, born 14/10/1997 which puts him in third year with his cousin Henry."

"Thorfinn Rowle, father of both Caleb and Abel, was fifty-five when he married fourteen-year-old Siobhan Templeton, the twin sister of Shanae Pritchard."

"Vomit," Ron muttered.

"Unlike Shanae, Siobhan became a full believer in Voldemort's bullshit and both she and Thorfinn were sentenced to life in Azkaban for their crimes. Their son, Thomas was then given to Siobhan's twin sister to raise in '99."

"Jeesh, they were kids themselves," Baxter said. "I can't believe the Ministry gave them custody."

"If they can find a good home for a child, they were going to," Harry replied. "Plus it says here that Shanae fought for it. She refused to let her nephew grow up in an orphanage despite her sister's sins."

"Good heart," Ron said. "Who's next?"

"Adrian Pucey," Harry began, taking a drink of his coffee. "He was seventeen when he married twenty-year-old Gertrude Meads. Adrian was given thirty-five years in Azkaban alongside of his father Dominic who was given life. Gertrude was sentenced to twenty years. They had one son, Sterling Adrian, born 09/10/1997, which makes him a third year at Hogwarts. He resides at Cambridge House."

"The infamous Bellarosa Rossi," Ron said, reaching for her file. "She was a convicted Death Eater but since her batshit sister Belladonna Brambilla turned out to be the real murderess, she barely served one year in prison. She married former MIA Auror Joseph Rossi in 2000 and they reside in Rome with their two children: Nasira Vittoria, born 14/07/2003 and Luca Blaise, born 10/04/2007. Rossi writes crime novels under the pen name Emilio Mantegna and Bellarosa is a full time mother. Her son from her first marriage, Blaise Zabini, works in the ICW as an advocatus alongside of his wife and their eighteen-month-old-daughter Maddelena Appolline whom they called Maddie."

"Shit this list keeps getting bigger," Baxter said, reaching for the next file. "And the Rowle family has quite the marriage list here. First up is Caleb Rowle who was twenty-eight when he married fourteen-year-old Flora Carrow, the twin sister of Hestia Crouch."

"Ew," Ron said again, shoving the danish at Harry as he took another reluctant bite while Baxter continued.

"Caleb and Flora had one son, Ethan Caleb, born 27/09/1997, who is in his third year at Hogwarts. Caleb was sentenced to life in prison, but Flora was part of the rescue group at Wiltshire Manor and found innocent. She works as a waitress in a restaurant in Luminescent Way," Baxter said.

"Next up on the Rowle family tree is Caleb's younger brother Abel who was twenty-five when he married fifteen-year-old Bridget Ledbury. Abel was only given twenty-five years for his crimes and Bridget was found innocent. They have one son, Jonathan Abel, born 12/10/1997, and he's in his third year at Hogwarts. Oh, Bridget actually works at the Potter Potion Warehouse in Liverpool," Ron said. "I'll interview her."

"It's not like I know everyone who works in a place I happen to own," Harry said, rolling his eyes.

Baxter snorted. "Oh, to be so rich and famous you don't even know who works for you. Your life is a hardship."

"Piss off," Harry said.

Ron grinned. "You should have seen him when Witch Weekly announced its Sexiest Wizard Alive this year and he wasn't it. He cried."

"I did not," Harry replied.

"He did," Ron said. "I mean, he's only held the title for what twelve years in a row? Seems fair it should go to someone else for once."

"Can we focus on something actually important?" Harry asked.

Baxter lifted an eyebrow. "You don't think sexy is being important? No wonder you lost to that new soap opera star this year."

Harry rolled his eyes as Ron high-fived Baxter. "Woodrow Selwyn was forty-three when he married eighteen-year-old Selena Macnair. Woodrow was given life in Azkaban, but Selena was found innocent of all charges. Selena works as a seamstress for Pansy Goyle in Sophistication by Pansy and her son, Nolan Woodrow, born 14/10/1997, is in his third year at Hogwarts."

"Last, but not least is Cassius Warrington," Ron said, grabbing the last file and taking out the photos inside. "Warrington was eighteen when he married twenty-two-year-old Josephine Macnair. He served ten years in Azkaban and was released in '08. He went home to his wife and their son Roman Cassius, born 07/10/1997. Josephine worked as manager of The Leaky Cauldron and a year after her husband was released, the two of them purchased the alehouse and inn. They run it together and Cassius serves the bar. They had a daughter on 21/02/2010 named Ramona Josephine Warrington. Roman is a third year at Hogwarts."

Baxter whistled. "Not a short list."

"No, but it gives us another starting point," Harry said. "I think the twenty-seven kids in Hogwarts are the ones we can put aside for now, but the second board… we're going to have to divvy that up."

"That's another fifteen potential kids on the second board."

"The oldest kids are only fourteen and unless we're talking about someone who was released and turned their life around, I can't see any of these people being responsible," Ron said.

"Maybe not," Harry agreed. "But we have to be sure before we write them off. You want the first half or the second half?"

Ron groaned and cracked his knuckles. "I'll take the second half."

Harry nodded and took Avery to Goyle and left Ron with Lestrange to Warrington, giving Baxter five names from the middle including the Goyles. Then headed out to talk to everyone their list and see what they could come up. All of the names gave them no new information, but Ron did find something when he arrived at the Lofthouse residence and found MPU officers along with MPD Aurors already on scene. One of their twin daughters, Ocean, who was five years old had gone missing with their eight-year-old-daughter Paisley. Xander Lofthouse was trying to keep Quinlee quiet who was crying loudly over the loss of her twin as his wife, Juliet clung to her husband's arm.

"We were just shopping in Diagon Alley," Juliet said through her tears. "There was nothing out of the ordinary! I'd just gotten the girls new robes at Madam Malkin's and we came out of the shop, I stopped to adjust my bags and the next thing I knew Quinlee was screaming for her sisters."

"Mrs Lofthouse, we're going to do everything we can to find your daughters. Can you tell us if they would go with anyone? Do you have any enemies?" Auror Kit asked.

Xander shook his head furiously as he held his wife tightly. "No one. Who would do this? Who would take our little girls?"

Harry wished he had an answer for them. They met Kit back in the conference room in the MPD division and Kit cleared her throat.

"It's not a coincidence that the kids are the same age. Jasper and Paisley are both eight and nine and Darius and Ocean are both five. That has to mean something."

"To who?" Harry asked, his eyes on the board. "Ron and I didn't find anything in evidence, but the Lofthouse girls going missing proves that we're on the right track. We had them listed as potential victims."

The AIU sent a memo alerting them of results and when they headed down to the department to see what they could learn, they discovered that the body parts that had been discovered belonged to three different kids, two girls and one boy.

"Without anything to compare it to, I can't tell you who they belong to," Auror Jared Danson the Head of the Autopsy Department declared. "But I can say that they were dead before they were dismembered which is one small blessing in cases such as this."

Thirty-six hours had passed since the Bole boys had gone missing, and nine hours for the Lofthouse girls when Robards arrived and told them that they were officially on overtime.

Harry opened his mirror up to call home and smiled at the sight of his wife's face. "Hey."

"Hey yourself," Ginny said. "I'm assuming this is to tell me you're working late?"

"Yeah," he said. "I'm sorry. I know I said I'd be home in time to help with baths, but we've joined an investigation with MPD and there's these missing kids, Gin."

Ginny's brown eyes softened. "Missing kids? That's awful. You do what you have to do, Harry. I'm perfectly all right in this house we call madness."

"Are you sure? We can call your mum over or something?"

"I'm fine," Ginny assured him. "If I need help, I'll ask. Go find the bad guys."

"I love you."

Ginny smiled at him through the reflection. "I know. I love you, too. I'll see you when I see you. Drink some water and don't forget to eat."

"Yeah, yeah," he said, wishing her goodnight and closing the mirror.

"Hermione understands," Ron said coming back into the conference room. "But shit if I don't feel guilty leaving her alone with three kids."

"Try five and pregnant," Harry said. "I know she understands but I still feel bad. All right, let's get some coffee and some food and dive back into this. We need to figure out a connection between Lofthouse and Bole."

Four hours later, they were no closer to finding a connection than before. Bole and Lofthouse both had ties to Voldemort, but other than the marriage pacts in '96, none of them had been convicted of Death Eater activity. The children being of similar age was something that stuck out to Harry, but he didn't know why those ages were important, if they even were at all.

He and Ron went out again to ask more questions, rechecking surveillance charms in the surrounding area, and talking to everyone and anyone they came across in Diagon Alley along with Knockturn Alley. A few witnesses claimed to have seen a man, but no one could describe him well enough. They were coming up on more dead ends.

Danson gave them more news on the body parts the next day and they learned that they had werewolf blood in their systems. It gave them something else to go on and Harry and Ron managed to snag a few hours of sleep in the DAU lounge before it was a reasonable hour for them to head into werewolf communities to try to see if anyone was missing. Adrian Roberts was able to help them and they learned that five kids had run away from a community centre a few weeks back.

"They were orphans," the woman running the centre told them. "Lived down at the orphanage on Smith Street and came down here a few times a week. Their parents were killed in the war."

The orphanage helped them with names and belongings and Danson was able to identify the victims. The fact that they had no family to claim them somehow made it more of a tragic of a loss in Harry's opinion.

Another day passed and they were no closer to solving the case than when they started. Robards ordered them home to sleep a few hours before going back to work as Harry had slept no more than a handful sporadically over the last ninety-six hours. He did his best to greet his excited kids, kissed his wife, then took a quick shower before passing out face first into his bed. He slept four hours like the dead before Robards' Patronus demanded he come back in.

Harry yawned as he stepped off the lift into the Dark Arts Unit twenty minutes later and headed towards Robards' office. He stopped when he saw his wife standing there with Ella and Everett in her arms and Lily holding onto her shirt.

"Gin? What are you doing here?"

Tears rolled down Ginny's cheeks as Harry bent down to pick up Lily who was also crying and it was Ron who spoke from behind him.

"James and Albus are missing, Harry."

And Harry felt his entire world crumble at his feet.

~ KE: Hinny II ~

Ginny did her best to usher the kids out of the house once Harry went upstairs to try to sleep. Her husband had been on this case for almost a week and she knew that he'd barely slept at all in the last ninety-six hours and realistically, he wasn't going to get much more than a few hours of sleep now. She figured the least she could do was try to keep the house quiet. Wrestling five kids out of the house was never an easy task. It took twice as long as it should have in between her running to the bathroom to vomit (thank you unexpected pregnancy) and trying to get the kids into boots, shoes, and hats. Ginny ordered James to hold Albus' hand as they took the Knight Bus to London to do some shopping.

Christmas was right around the corner and now that she was retired, Ginny felt like it somehow was as if she had less time than before. It started snowing that morning, but Ginny was determined to not let the snow get in her way. She had a list of items to get at shops between Diagon Alley and Apricity Lane and she was going to try to stretch her patience as long as she could with the kids. She didn't want to thrust them upon their grandparents if she could avoid it.

James was seven and had even more energy every day. She told him that she needed his help today to help her watch his siblings and he only nodded and promised to do so. He really was a great big brother. That was whenever he wasn't picking on Albus or stealing Lily's toys or telling Ella and Everett to stop crying. Merlin, sometimes she had no idea how her own mother had managed.

Albus held tightly to his big brother's hand as they walked through the street. He was five and he had his other hand in Lily's who had just turned four on the third. Ginny had Ella and Everett in a pushchair and insisted that Lily hold the handle of the pushchair as they walked. For the most part, the kids were good, but she spent half her time reminding James to hold his brother's hand and the other half trying to convince Lily to hold onto the pushchair.

They went to Flourish and Blotts first to grab some new books, fresh parchment, and a few other stationary things. They made a stop at Gringotts to get some money and the kids ran to Bill when he came down to greet them. After a quick visit with Bill, they stopped by Potage's Cauldron Shop for some new cauldrons and as well as pots for the kitchen, then Twilfitt and Tattings for some new winter cloaks. They took a quick lunch in the Leaky Cauldron and Ginny promised them that if they could just be good in Madam Malkin's they would stop by and see Uncle Fred and Uncle George in the joke shop.

They were a little longer in Madam Malkin's than she planned on, but she left with fresh orders of new winter coats, cloaks, and hats for Lily and the boys. They left the shop with more bags for Ginny to balance and she turned away for only a second to help Lily tie her shoe and when she looked up, James and Albus were gone.

"JAMIE! ALBY!" Ginny shouted, making a few people look over at her.

Half a second later, she'd gathered a crowd of people all wanting to help the infamous Ginny Potter and ten minutes after that, MPU Aurors arrived to help. Now she stood inside of the Dark Arts Unit, unable to stop the tears from pouring down her cheeks as her husband held their eldest daughter, his green eyes full of horror as they met hers.

"Harry, I'm so sorry! I bent down to help Lily with her shoelace and when I looked up… Jamie was getting restless, I knew that he was, and I promised him that we were going to see Fred and George and you know how Alby follows him around and… I didn't see anything and…"

Harry kissed Lily's temple before he pulled his wife into his arms, cradling her and the twins against him. "It's not your fault, Gin."

A broken sob escaped her and her fingers clutched her husband's shirt. "Harry, our babies are missing! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

Harry pulled her closer, burying his face in the crook of her neck, the feel of her in his arms a comfort he didn't feel. "It's not your fault," he repeated.

"Daddy, where Ahby?" Lily asked innocently.

Harry kissed Lily's cheek. "Alby and Jamie will be back soon, Lily. Daddy will find them."

"Pwomise?"

Harry's heart sped up at the tiny broken word and tears prickled his eyes. "I promise, baby girl."

"Okay," Lily said, putting her head on Harry's shoulder.

"Weasley's already called for all surveillance charm footage," Robards said, clearing his throat. "We have MPU officers patrolling the area and interviewing everyone. We'll find them, Potter."

Harry hoped Robards was right because if anyone hurt his kids, he wasn't going to be able to promise to hold himself back. Ginny's tears were enough to make him want to fall to his knees. His wife didn't cry; not like this. She was bloody resilient and seeing her fall apart… it was more than he could take.

Ron reached between them to pick up Everett and Baxter took Ella, making the little girl smile. Ron tried to take Lily, but her little hands wrapped tightly around Harry's neck and she refused to let go. Harry took the opportunity to wrap his arms more securely around his wife.

Ginny let Harry hold her, but both of her hands were out, touching Ella and Everett as if she was too afraid to let them out of her sight for even a second. Harry kissed her hair, tears in the back of his throat that he refused to let fall. He had to be strong right now. He had to show Ginny that he was going to find who did this. He was going to get their boys back, no matter what it took.

When Fred and George arrived at the Ministry twenty minutes later to help Ginny take the kids home, Ginny shook her head vehemently. "No! I'm not leaving! I'm not going home without my boys."

"Ginny," Harry began. "I'll find them. I promise."

Tears rolled down her cheeks and when Lily finally let her uncle George take her in his arms, Ginny fell to her knees at her husband's feet and fell apart. Her words didn't make sense as she clung to him and sobbed. Harry slowly knelt down in front of her and pulled her close.

"They didn't run away," she gasped. "They wouldn't and if they did, Jamie knows to go to the joke shop. Jamie wouldn't let anyone hurt Alby and oh my gods, Harry, what if someone hurt them? What if someone's hurting them right now? I can't… I can't just go home. I have to help, I have to find them, I have to do… Harry, what are we going to do?"

"Shh," Harry whispered, holding her so close as they both trembled. "Ginny, look at me." When her face only burrowed deeper into his chest, he grabbed the back of her head and pulled her back to look into her swimming brown eyes. "I will find them, Ginny. I will find them and I will bring them back home to you. To us."

"I-I-I-"

"Breathe," Harry said, using his thumbs to wipe her tears. "Lily, Ella, and Everett need you right now. Six needs you to be calm. Can you do that for me? Can you let your brothers take you home and wait there in case the boys find their way home? I need you to do this, Ginny. Please. Please, do this for me."

"I need my babies," she whispered.

"I'm going to find them, but to do that, I need you to be brave and to take the kids home. Can you do that, Gin?"

Ginny's bottom lip trembled as more tears spilled down her cheeks before she nodded. "Y-y-yes."

Harry held her chin and kissed her, hard. "I love you."

"I love you, too," she whispered.

"Come on, Nevra," George said, passing her Lily when the toddler reached for her mum. "Let Harry do his job."

Ginny pulled Lily close, cradling the toddler in her arms. "You'll find them?"

"I'll find them," he promised.

Ginny reached for Harry's hand and she was more grateful than she could express when Harry squeezed it and pulled her up against his hard body again.

"I love you," he repeated fiercely, kissing her ear. "I'm going to find our boys and bring them home."

"Harry, I…"

He pulled back to cup her face in his hands. "This isn't your fault, Ginny. You're an amazing mum. This isn't your fault. Go home with your brothers and let me do my job, all right?"

Ginny nodded, her bottom lip trembling as Fred reached for her hand.

"Come on, Gem. Let's go."

Harry reached for the twins, pulling them both into his arms and holding them tightly, kissing their heads before reaching over to Lily to do the same thing. He was almost reluctant to pass them back to his brother-in-law, but Fred's reassuring smile made him feel slightly better. Fred took Everett and passed him to George before taking Ella and then he pulled Harry close in a one-armed-hug.

"We won't leave them for a second, mate. Go show these arseholes why you're the bloody Chosen One."

Harry felt a little stronger at Fred's words. Ginny gave her husband one last took before she let her brothers lead her and the kids out of the DMLE.

Harry stared after them, frozen for a minute until Ron touched his shoulder.

"We'll find them, Harry."

Ron's words shook him out of his trance and his hands fisted at his sides before he spun around and turned to Robards, his expression hard.

"This just became fucking personal. I want access to all of the surveillance charms."

"Potter, you're no longer running point on this," Robards declared. "It's too close to home."

"Fuck that, Gawain!" Harry shouted, his eyes flashing. "Someone took my bloody kids! Mine! Jamie and Alby are out there somewhere, scared and alone and my pregnant wife is fucking blaming herself and freaking out with three other kids to contend with! I need to find my boys and I need to bring them home right bloody now!"

Robards reached out to touch his arm. "I'm well aware of the situation which is why you need to take a backseat on this. Higgins and Baxter will be running point."

"I'm still going to work this case."

"Unless you give me a reason to remove you, I'm not doing so," Robards warned. "But you need to keep your head if you want to find your boys."

Harry reluctantly swallowed back his angry retort and nodded at Robards. Kit joined them in the conference room with Higgins and Baxter at the front and Harry gave his former partner his full attention as he listened to what they had to say, not feeling any closer to solving this case than he had been before his boys were taken.

Albus was crying, snot dripping down his nose and onto his chin. He kept touching James with his snot-covered hand and James wanted to shove him away and tell him to stop snivelling, but he couldn't. He knew that his brother was scared. He was too, but he knew that he needed to be brave now. He had to make sure that he kept Alby safe.

"Shh," James hissed, putting his arm around Albus' shoulders. "Stop crying, Alby."

"Jamie, I'm scared," Albus whispered. "Where's Mummy? I want Daddy."

"I don't know," James admitted. "But I know Dad's looking for us. He's an Auror, Alby. He'll find us, don't worry."

Albus sniffled some more and James urged him to stay in place for a minute before he crawled off towards the light peeking out from under the door. He wasn't sure exactly where they were but the room they were trapped in was dark and smelt like hot garbage. They'd been here for at least an hour, he was sure of it. Despite it being November, his forehead was sweaty as he approached the locked door and tried again to see if it was locked.

Yup, still locked, he thought.

He walked around the room, trying to see if there was a way out. He thought they might be in some kind of cellar or cupboard because there was no windows. He felt Albus' hand touch his and he squeezed his hand.

"It's going to be okay, Alby."

Three hours later, they were curled up against the wall. Albus had fallen asleep with his head on James' shoulder as James tried to figure out how they were going to get out of here. When he heard movement on the other side of the door, he scrambled to his feet, automatically standing in front of his little brother. His movement startled Albus awake and James hissed for him to stand behind him.

The door opened to a huge, imposing figure who looked like a monstrous shadow in the bright light behind him. He stomped into the room, dropping what looked like a toolbox on the ground next to him with a bang and James stuck his chin out.

"You can't keep us here."

The man huffed. "I can do whatever I bloody want, boy."

"Our dad's Harry Potter and he's going to save us!" James exclaimed, his voice coming out a lot braver than he felt.

The man laughed, a huge hand running over his chin. "Oh, I'm counting on it, boy."

The man reached forward to grab James' arm, but he wormed away from him. Then shouted when the man picked up Albus instead.

"Let him go! Leave him alone!"

"Jamie!" Albus cried, kicking and squirming in the man's arms in an attempt to get away.

The man grabbed Albus around his neck and slammed him back against the wall, making Albus cry out in pain. "Keep fighting me, boy, and you'll regret it."

Tears rolled down Albus' cheeks and James kicked the man in the ankle. He kicked him a second time and the man's elbow hit him right in the nose. Pain exploded in his face and blood dripped into his mouth as tears rolled down his cheeks. He stumbled and fell to the cold floor in time to hear Albus cry out. The man's wand had jabbed Albus right in his arm and then he was taking blood from him, putting it into a tiny phial. James scrambled to his feet, but felt dizzy when he tried to move towards his brother.

The man put a stopper in the third phial before he let go of Albus' throat and James watched his brother crumple to the floor with a loud cry. Then he turned towards James.

James tried to scramble away, but the pain in his face and the blood made it hard for him to see. He tried to turn around and crawl off, but a large hand grabbed his ankle and yanked him towards them. Then the big man turned him over and put his knee over James' legs, locking him into place.

"Your turn."

He jabbed James' arm with his wand and something sharp stabbed him and then he watched in horror as the man filled three more phials full of his blood. When he finished, he stood up and dropped the phials into his pocket.

"I don't want to hear any more crying in here or next time, I'll hurt more than just your face."

Then the door slammed behind him and James scrambled across the floor towards his brother. Albus threw his arms around him, tears and snot all over his face.

"Jamie, I peed."

James pulled Albus close anyway. "It's okay, Alby. It'll be okay. Dad's going to find us."

But when he looked out at the closed door, he remembered how big and strong and scary the man was. He had to protect Albus, he just wished he knew how to do that.

Harry and Ron worked tirelessly trying to find a connection between the cases; trying to figure out who would kidnap a bunch of kids, and how Harry's kids fit into the pattern. But it seemed like they just kept coming up empty. Jamie and Alby had been missing for almost five hours at this point and Harry was ready to snap. He needed to find his boys.

"Is it possible that they didn't even realize they were your kids?" Baxter asked.

"Alby is literally his twin without glasses," Ron said. "There's no way that they didn't know who they were grabbing."

That didn't make Harry feel any better.

Another two hours passed with them being no closer to finding answers. Ron suggested they go back to the board with the Bole boys and Harry snapped.

"No! We're not going fucking backwards, Ron! Someone took my kids! Mine!"

"Harry, look, I under —"

"YOU DO NOT BLOODY UNDERSTAND, RON!" Harry shouted. "It's not your kids! Your kids are at home and safe and mine are…"

He broke off with a choked sob and when he turned away, he found Sirius standing in the doorway of the conference room. Sirius marched into the room and pulled Harry into his arms and Harry clutched the back of his leather jacket and let out a huge gasping sob.

"You're going to find them, Prongslet," Sirius whispered. "You're the best damn Auror I've ever seen. You took out fucking Voldemort. You're going to find those boys and they're going to be all right because they're your sons. Do you understand me?"

Harry bit back his tears and nodded against Sirius' shoulder.

"Harry," Ron said carefully. "Jamie and Alby are my first priority, too. Jamie's my godson and I will die for those boys, you know that, but they're not the only kids missing here."

"Weasley's right," Baxter said, clearing his throat. "Two Lofthouse girls and two Bole boys are also on this list. What do they have in common?"

"Close in age," Ron said.

"We've determined that, Ron," Harry said bitterly. "Something useful, please."

"Purebloods," Ron said, ignoring Harry. "They've all been purebloods which as Kit said, is a rarity among child kidnappings."

"Why is that?" Baxter asked. "Aren't purebloods considered more precious for just that reason?"

"Yes and no," Kit said. "Purebloods are worth more by collectors."

"Collectors?" Ron asked, furrowing his brow.

"You think this is black market shit," Sirius said, his arms still around Harry.

Harry turned to look at his godfather. "What do you know about the black market, Uncle Siri?"

Sirius shrugged. "Not much. I know that thirty years ago it was a huge underground trade and pure blood was a big fucking deal."

Ron frowned. "Wait… the blood itself?"

Sirius nodded. "Magical blood is a big fucking deal, Ron. When you add in it being from a pureblood witch or wizard, it adds clout and it adds power. From a child… the innocence of them and the raw uncontrolled power they have… it could go for millions."

Baxter looked thoughtful. "If you're right, that means they're keeping the kids somewhere. Fresh blood means they need just that — fresh."

"It's not just blood," Higgins said. "According to what Kit found it was blood, fingernails, hair… and to claim to be the heir of the Chosen One himself…"

"They'll be a bloody bidding war," Sirius said. "James and Albus will be sold off to the highest bidder and most likely not together."

"Bloody hell," Ron mumbled.

Kit cleared her throat. "If Lord Black's guess is correct that means we have an even shorter window to find them."

"What do you mean?" Harry demanded, turning to look at Kit.

She held up the memo that had just flew into the conference room. "They were able to access the coded wireless channel that's holding the auction. James and Albus are currently going for an opening bid of twenty-five thousand Galleons each and the auction closes at at eight."

"Eight?" Harry whispered, his eyes shooting to the clock in desperation.

Ron swallowed. "That's nine hours away. We'll find them."

Sirius clasped Harry's shoulder again. "What can I do to help?"

Harry wished he knew as he stared at the clock and desperately wished that they had something else to go on other than a ticking clock.

~ KE: Hinny II ~

By the time Ginny arrived back at home, she felt even less calm than she had when she left the Ministry. Fred and George settled the kids with a snack and Zee arrived a few moments later. She ushered Ginny upstairs to take a hot shower and change into more comfortable clothes. Ginny tried to protest, but Fred and George physically shoved her up the stairs and Zee followed.

Ginny stood in the shower, letting the hot water beat down on her and she sobbed. This was all her fault. She was a terrible mother and her one moment of neglect had been all it took for someone to prove it to her. Someone had taken her boys. Someone had taken them when she'd been standing right there, completely oblivious.

When the water turned cold, Ginny finally stepped out and wrapped herself in Harry's bathrobe. Zee was waiting for her in the bedroom. She urged her to dress in sweats and a jumper before she sat her down and gently brushed her hair.

"I can't imagine what you're feeling, Ginny, but this wasn't your fault, sweetie."

"It was!" Ginny exclaimed, her voice breaking at the words. "I looked away for one second, Zee! One second and they were just… gods, they must be so scared! This never would have happened to Harry. If he'd been there, no one would have dared take them, but I was careless and—"

"—You were not careless!" Zee interrupted, her eyes narrowing. "No one is perfect, Ginny, least of all mothers. You have five children under the age of seven, no one in their right mind can keep an eye on all five of them twenty-four/seven. You are an amazing mum and what happened is not your fault."

Ginny swallowed. "Zee… what if he can't find them?"

"No," Zee said, sharply, kneeling in front of her and taking her hands in hers. "You will not let your thoughts go there. Jamie and Alby are good boys and they're smart. Harry will find them and he will bring them home, of that I have no doubt."

Ginny's bottom lip trembled. "I… I need… I need to be with my kids."

Zee nodded and stood up, offering her hand. "Come on, I bet Molly's coddling them right now."

When they went downstairs, Molly wasn't the only one coddling them. Fred was on the floor playing with a wooden shape puzzle with Ella while George worked on a second one with Everett and Lee. Lily was curled up in her grandmother's lap while Molly read her a story. Bill was lying on the floor with his two sons, Louis and Tristian who were four and two as they build a huge tower out of blocks with Ron's four-year-old-son Hugo and George's two-year-old-son Asher. Dominique and Forest were both nine and they had spread out paint and paper on the floor in the corner and were showing Roxie and Lucy Loo how to paint flowers. Gideon and Fox were playing with the toy Quidditch stadium set up on the table while Molly Anna painted Rose's nails. Percy and Audrey were helping tidy up while Fleur and Fiadh brought out food and drinks. Angelina was sitting on the sofa next to Molly and Lily with her large seven month pregnant belly that was currently being guarded by Alby's kitten Jinx and Hermione was feeding Granger cereal while Remus held him on his lap.

The sight of all of them here and ready to help as needed was almost too much for Ginny. Zee put her arm around her.

"Sirius went to check on Harry and Tonks is helping with the case. I sent word to Charlie, but he's working with a dragon in Scotland. He should be here soon too."

Ginny nodded before she sat on the floor next to Bill and Everett crawled into her lap as Eggsy padded over and rested his chin on her knee while Bucky stretched out behind her.

"Mamum-ma," he babbled.

Ginny wrapped her arms around him and kissed the top of his head. "I'm right here, baby. I'm right here."

Bill leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Whatever you need, Ginny."

Fiadh put a plate next to her with a sandwich and some veggies. "Try to eat something. That baby you're carrying needs you to stay strong."

Ginny blinked back her tears and nodded, not knowing what else to say and so grateful that her family was here to support her. When Charlie showed up an hour later with Theo and his two boys, Ben and Spencer, she let Theo wrap her up in his arms.

"It's going to be all right, chick. Harry's the bestest there ever was. Bas is away for work, but I know he would be there to help if he wasn't."

"Thank you," she whispered.

Theo smiled and picked up the half eaten sandwich and held it to her mouth. "Bite."

When she opened her mouth to protest, Theo merely shoved it in.

"Better."

Charlie snorted from behind him. "Is that the way of it then? Are we just shoving food into her mouth now?"

"It's not like she's not used to having big things in there," Theo teased.

Charlie rolled his eyes. "Not quite the same."

When Lily claimed she had to tinkle and skipped out of the room, Ginny's heart jumped into her throat and Molly bent down to kiss her cheek.

"I've got her, dear. Take a deep breath. Our boys will come home."

Despite the unwavering support and love that surrounded her, the three boys who weren't there were the ones that she couldn't keep from her mind. Harry needed to find their boys and come home. She just hoped that he would forgive her for letting them go in the first place.

Then maybe she could start to forgive herself.

James didn't know how much time had passed since the man had left, but his nose had stopped bleeding and James had cleaned up most of the blood with his shirt. The room smelt like sweat, blood, and urine, the latter of which had dried on his little brother. When the door opened again, James trembled as he stood up.

The man snorted. "Don't try anything, boy. I'll be quick."

James yelped as the man ripped some hairs out of his head and then did the same to Albus. Albus started to cry again and James shook his fist.

"Leave us alone, you big bully!"

The man laughed. "Don't worry. You won't be here much longer. A few more hours and you'll be going off to your new home. Separately."

When the door closed behind him, James flinched.

New home?

What did that mean?

Where was the man going to take them?

He looked down at his brother again. He couldn't let the man take him away. It was his job to protect him. He needed to find a way out of this cellar and then maybe he could do something to get word out to his dad. He knew that their dad would find them, but that didn't mean he couldn't help.

He heard movement to the left and ordered Albus to shush. When he approached the dark wall cautiously, the last thing he expected was for a small doggie-door in the wall to open and for two girls to crawl out.

"Whoa!" James exclaimed, eyeing them carefully. They were both dirty and had tear-stained faces. "Who are you?"

"I'm Paisley," the older girl said. "This is my little sister, Ocean. Who are you?"

"Jamie," he told them. "And that's my little brother, Alby. Where are we?"

"I don't know," Paisley whispered. "There were two other boys in here yesterday, but they took them away."

"Took them away where?" James demanded.

Paisley shook her head. "I don't know."

James tried to recall how they'd ended up here. He remembered Lily asking their mum to tie her shoe and then someone had touched his shoulder. An older boy, he thought, a gangly one who had a black tooth. And then suddenly there had been a pull at his navel and he and Albus had appeared in this dark room. The boy had used a portkey on them.

"What's on the other side of that door?" James asked.

"I don't know," Paisley said again. "The only time it opens is to bring us food or to take blood or hair from us. Our side is the same."

James frowned at that. If they were bringing them food that had to be a good sign, right? He hurried back over to Albus who was still crying and urged him to his feet.

"Alby, let me see your pockets."

Albus dutifully emptied his pockets for his brother and James carefully examined them. He found two red berry candies covered in lint, a Sickle, some dog biscuits, and one of Lily's p ribbons. Absolutely nothing of use. His own pockets weren't much better. He had some strawberry liquorice wands, one of his uncles' toy ninja stars, and a deck of Exploding Snap. He turned to Paisley to see what the girls had and he struck gold when Paisley showed him the bobby pin and some dung bombs.

"Brilliant," he whispered, an idea forming.

James barely had time to shove the stuff into his own pocket before the door swung open again and the same huge barrel chested man stood there looking like a dark monster in the dim light. Albus cried out and clung to James' side as Ocean did the same to Paisley and the man snorted.

"Dinner time."

He tossed four bowls of what looked like slop on the floor and then slammed the door shut behind him, locking it with a bang. James wrinkled his nose at the food and reached a hand out to Paisley to stop her from eating it.

"Wait. I have an idea. Alby, I need your help."

Albus, brightening at the thought of his big brother needing him, perked up. "How? I wanna help!"

James pulled the hair pin back out of his pocket with a twinkle in his brown eyes. "I need you to keep watch under the door and make sure no one's coming, all right? I'm busting us all out of here."

Paisley's eyes widened in surprise as James headed towards the door with the hairpin in tow and ordered Albus to get on his stomach and look under the crack in the door for any signs of movement. Then James carefully approached the lock on the door and hoped that Uncle Fred showing him how to unlock a door with a hairpin was actually something he remembered how to do.

Harry was getting frustrated. They were down to four hours until the auction was complete and they were no closer to figuring out where the kids were located than when they started. The AIU still hadn't been able to find the location from where the wireless was coming from nor did they know where the kids were being held. He couldn't tears his eyes away from the clock on the wall, watching the minutes tick by; taunting him.

Sirius told him that Ginny wasn't alone and that all of her brothers, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and mother had stopped by Clevedon Court including Remus, Zee, and Theo with his boys. The only ones missing were the ones who were at Hogwarts. Harry was grateful that she wasn't alone, but it only reminded him that she'd been surrounded at home with no word from him about their boys.

If he didn't find them, he would never be able to face her. Gods, he'd never be able to forgive himself if something happened to his kids. He pictured James' wide smile, the freckles on his nose, his warm brown eyes that held the same mischief as his mother. Then there was Albus… gods, he was only five and probably so scared! Harry just wanted to hold them both and never let go and he was desperately afraid that he would never get the chance to do so again.

"Eureka!" Tonks exclaimed, snapping Harry out of his spiral.

"Eureka?"

"Fleming," Tonks said, tapping her wand against the board. "That's our bloody connection!"

"Fleming?" Harry repeated, giving her a puzzled look before the name clicked. "Wait… Fletcher Fleming? He's in Azkaban."

"He is," Higgins replied, staring at the name that Tonks had added to the board. "You put him there, twelve years ago. He's still in prison, but he has a son, nineteen named Fergus Fleming. Picked up twice in the last six months on charges of distributing intoxicating substances illegally. Looks like Fergus might be following in daddy's footsteps."

"What in bleeding hell does Fleming have to do with our missing kids?" Harry demanded.

Baxter waved his wand to send the file up on the board above them for all to see. "It's not just Fleming. Fleming has been protected by Howard Jekyll."

"Bloody hell," Harry grumbled as his first real Auror case slowly began to come back to him. "That was Fleming's number two, or so we believed. We never found any evidence linking them outside of a friendship and everything we thought Jekyll was responsible for ended up falling on Yanna's head."

"Yanna Krawkowski admitted to everything," Higgins said. "She was using the alias Leland Hauser at the time and she took the blame for all of it. She claimed Jekyll wasn't involved and since we had no direct evidence and her confession, we took it."

"Bloody hell," Ron said, exchanging a look with Harry. "Howard Jekyll is the brother of Harvey Jekyll, that madman that Baxter and I arrested in '99 who had that flat full of pickled body parts."

"One in the same," Baxter said. "Remember we believed the brother was involved then, but we never found any evidence to incriminate him. Harvey Jekyll went to the crypt, but Howard was never formally charged."

"Where is he now?"

"He has a flat in Knockturn Alley," Baxter said. "Where Fleming was accused of distributing poisonous substances and other black market icons, Jekyll was rumoured to be part of the more disturbing ingredients which we proved when we arrested him. But if Howard is working with young Fleming, that's too much of a fucking coincidence to pass up."

Harry frowned. "Why these kids though?"

Kit cleared her throat this time. "If this Jekyll is the man we've been looking for, he uses them for black market ingredients. Like Lord Black said, it's worth a lot of money. I'm talking millions and if Jekyll and Fleming are the ones running this auction or at least holding the kids, it gives us a starting point."

That really didn't make Harry feel any better.

"I'm on the warrant," Tonks said, rushing out of the room and Harry turned to stare at the board, his eyes on the photos of young Fergus Fleming and the huge hulking figure of Howard Jekyll.

If these were the men who had touched his boys, they were going to wish they hadn't. His fingers flexed around his wand and Sirius' hand touched his shoulder.

"We still have just over two hours before the bidding war comes to a close," Sirius said in a reassuring tone.

Harry was grateful that Sirius had stayed with him. Robards agreed to let him sit in with them because of his knowledge about the black market, but Harry knew that Gawain had used it as an excuse to let Sirius stay and comfort Harry and he was grateful.

"And if we're wrong and Fleming and Jekyll don't have them?" Harry whispered.

Sirius squeezed his shoulder. "You'll find them, Harry."

Harry hoped with everything he had that Sirius was right.

James struggled with the bobby pin in the lock for almost fifteen frustrating moments. When he broke the pin, he muttered 'bloody hell' under his breath. It turned out that he hadn't really learned how to pick a lock from Uncle Fred like he'd thought he had.

Deciding they needed a new plan, he went back to the items from their pockets. With Paisley's help, James managed to climb up onto the skinny ledge that was made of wood all along the wall. He carefully stood on his tip-toes and bit the ends off the liquorice wands, chewing them up so that they were sticky, before he stuck all of the playing cards together in a banner in front of the door as carefully as he could. When the last one clicked into place without a surprise, he let out a sigh of relief and hopped back down to the floor. Then he set the dung bombs up just under the door.

He pulled his ninja star from his pocket and balled it in his fist before he urged Albus, Paisley, and Ocean to stay away from the door. Then he picked up one of the bowls of slop and tipped it under the crack in the door so that the slop slid underneath before he ran to the other side of the cellar with the others.

Half a second later, a gruff voice groaned.

"Fucking kids! Making a bleeding mess for me to clean up! I'll show you what I do to disrespectful little brats!"

The door swung open and the man barrelled in, his head smashing into the playing cards at the same time that he stepped onto the dung bombs. The cards exploded with a sizzling snap and he yelped as a foul stench erupted from under his feet and he lost his balance, crashing onto the floor of the doorway.

"Run!" James yelled.

The four of them ran towards the door, James lifting Albus and Ocean over the man to make a break for it. He helped Paisley next, but the man grabbed her ankle with a grunt.

"Get back here, you little beasts!"

Paisley kicked back and her foot hit him in the head as James jumped over his shoulders.

But the shock of their prank hadn't been enough to keep him down.

The man jumped to his feet and tore after them in a rage. Something loud banged on the front door just as Paisley picked up a bag of flour that was leaning against the wall.

James stumbled as the man shoved him down and when he pushed Ocean, James shouted and then the front door burst open with a loud bang.

Harry felt like it took days instead of the forty minutes it took, but they finally managed to get a warrant for Howard Jekyll's property along with Fergus Fleming. They broke up into two teams, Harry, Ron, and Kit heading towards Jekyll's place in Knockturn Alley while Higgins, Baxter, and Tonks headed to Fleming's place on the other side of Knockturn Alley.

They were inside in seconds and Harry had his wand in front of him ready to attack or defend as needed, but the last thing he expected to find was his sons running towards him.

"DADDY!" Albus shouted.

Harry's eyes widened in surprise before the huge hulk of Howard Jekyll that he recognized from his arrest photo, kicked Albus' legs out from under him and his little boy went down with a loud cry. Harry raised his wand to attack Jekyll and was startled to see his eldest son kick Jekyll in the knee.

"Don't kick my brother, you big arse!" James shouted, kicking him again before a little girl hit him with a bag of flour that opened and exploded in a puff of smoke. Jekyll choked and stumbled as he went down and Harry ran towards the kids.

He scooped Albus up into his arms as the boy cried and he made an 'oomf' sound as James crashed into his other side.

"Alby?" Harry whispered in shock, examining the younger boy for any sign of damage outside of the obvious cut on his knee from where he fell. "Jamie? Are you all right?"

"He hurt Alby," James said as if that explained his actions perfectly.

Harry took in the dried blood all over James' face and shirt before he kissed James' temple and held him tightly. "You did such a good job protecting him, Jamie."

"Jamie picked the lock while I kept watch," Albus told him, sniffing back his tears when Harry kissed his knee. "But it didn't work so he used Exploding Snap and some dung bombs. The scary man came in and boom! Then we ran out of the dark room and the bad man tried to chase us. He said some very bad words and I fell down."

"Did he?" Harry asked, afraid his voice might break as he held them close.

Ron and Kit had Jekyll on the floor. He was covered head to toe in flour as he was being handcuffed and it was only then that Harry took note of the two little girls coming towards them. Ron took care of Jekyll as Kit took the girls' hands and they headed out to get the kids to safety. Baxter and Higgins found the Bole boys locked in a cellar in Fleming's place and other than a few bruises and cuts to where blood had been taken, they were all doing all right.

Harry didn't want to let his boys go so Ron sent a Patronus to Ginny, letting her know that they were safe. Ginny arrived at the DAU moments after they did and the boys ran to her as she held them close and bawled like a baby.

"Mummy, I wasn't scared," James boasted. "I knew Alby was so I was brave like Daddy."

Ginny covered James' face in kisses, framing his face with her hand. "I'm sure you were very brave, baby. Mummy was so worried about you and Alby. Thank you so much for protecting your little brother. I love you both so much."

James shrugged as if it was nothing and when Ginny pulled him close again, he snuggled into her chest. "I was a little scared, Mum."

"I know, baby," Ginny whispered, holding him close in one arm and Alby in the other.

Harry kissed her and the boys before he said he wanted to stay behind and find out why they took them and Ginny nodded, holding the boys at her side.

"Can I stay too, Daddy?" James asked. "I want to see the bad man go to Azkaban."

Harry chuckled and crouched down to be at eye level with his son. "Jamie, I think you should go home with Mum and Alby. I know you want to stay and help, but the best way for you to help is to let your mum take you home and coddle you."

James pouted. "But I don't need to be coddled."

Harry smiled and brushed his fingers down his son's cheek. "No, but you know what? Your mum needs to coddle you and so do I."

James sighed as if this was a huge hardship before he hugged Harry tightly. "All right, fine, but only because Mum needs it."

"Of course," Harry said, kissing his son's head. "I love you, Jamie. I'm very proud of you."

"Even though I called the bad man an arse?"

Harry chuckled. "Just this once, we'll let it slide."

"Wicked!" James exclaimed with a grin, hugging Harry again.

Harry kissed Ginny softly and kissed Albus and James a few more times before he reluctantly let them leave. Baxter offered to take them home and Harry thanked him, hugging his kids one more time. Then he headed into the back to watch Kit and Ron interrogate Fleming.

Robards stood next to him, his gaze narrowed on the suspect behind the glass. "I'm glad your boys are safe, Potter. All of the kids being found like that, can't have a better outcome."

"Agreed," Harry said. "But I still want to know why."

He turned his attention back to the glass and watched Ron lean in towards Fleming.

"You know, I get it, your dad goes to prison and you feel like your world's gone to shit, but he was a bad bloke. Up to his elbows in shit that would make you turn green if you even knew the half of it."

"Liar!" Fleming declared, his face turning red. "My father was innocent and Potter threw him in Azkaban."

"Now why would Auror Potter do that if he wasn't guilty?"

Fleming shrugged. "Because he was trying to show people that he was good enough to be an Auror when everyone knows that's not true. Everyone knows that he only got this job because he killed Voldemort. He's nothing but a murderer!"

"You were in nappies when your father was arrested," Ron said.

"No, I wasn't," Fleming said through clenched teeth. "I was seven and my brother Fletch was five when Potter arrested our dad."

"And where's your brother now?"

Fleming's face changed to one of grief before he masked it. "He died a few months after our father was arrested."

"How'd he die?"

"Uncle Howard said he fell and didn't wake up again."

"Huh, Uncle Howard eh? Is that Howard Jekyll?"

Fleming nodded. "He took Fletch and I in after Dad was arrested."

It took another thirty minutes for the whole story to come out.

It turned out that when Fleming had been arrested along with Jekyll's brother, Harvey, Jekyll had raised the boys, but Fletcher Junior had gotten into his stash of black market supplies. Jekyll, in a rage, had thrown the boy so hard he'd hit his head on the wall and died of a brain bleed. Jekyll covered up his death and proceeded to fill Fergus' head with stories about why Potter and the Aurors were to blame.

The Bole boys had been a test run to see if Fergus could successfully lure the boys away from their mother quick enough without being seen. They'd been chosen because according to Jekyll, Lucian and Laila Bole had been guilty of Death Eater activity and had gotten away with it while Fleming had been innocent and sent to prison anyway. Fleming had almost been caught taking the boys, but once the boys were safe in the cellar, the plan had been to keep them for twelve hours and then let them go. However, once Jekyll caught sight of them, he decided to waste not and insisted they keep them for supplies. He took blood and urine from them along with bits of their hair and scrapings of their skin. There had even been a few offers for them from pedophiles that made Harry's stomach turn and he was thankful they'd been in time to stop any of that from happening.

The Lofthouse girls had been a surprise. Fergus had taken them all on his own, again choosing them because Xander and Juliet had been declared innocent of crimes while his father had been sent to prison. This time Fergus used the idea of a portkey to see if it would work; it had. Jekyll had praised him for his work and immediately began to take from them the same that he had from the boys. Then he ordered Fergus to get the Potter kids.

The plan had been to take Lily as well, but her need for her shoe to be tied was the only thing that had saved her from being taken. Jekyll had planned to auction off the Potter kids for millions of Galleons to anyone who wanted the brats of the Chosen One and claimed it would be the ultimate revenge. Fergus had gone along with the plan as he believed Jekyll when he told him that in order to get his brats back, Harry would make sure his father was released from prison.

Jekyll denied all of it, but as Fleming sobbed his way through interrogation, there was no disputing the hard truth. Fergus Fleming was arrested for multiple kidnappings and accessory to human trafficking and sentenced to thirty years in Azkaban. Jekyll was finally tied into Fletcher Fleming's crimes over the last twenty years as they found evidence in personal journals buried under floor boards in his flat that tied him to some unsolved crimes. On top of the murder of Fletcher Fleming Junior and his ties to the black market and human trafficking with a potential for child pornography, he was given life in Azkaban.

Harry let out a long breath as the charges were laid against them and Robards put a hand on his shoulder.

"Good work today, Potter. Come to my office for a minute before you head home."

Harry followed Robards out of interrogation and to his office, closing the door behind him. "I know that I overreacted, but I don't regret it. He took my kids, Gawain."

Robards gave him a half smile. "I know. I can't say you reacted any differently than I expected. The fact that your son kicked the suspect and helped beam him with a bag of flour really says a lot as well."

Harry smirked at that. He was actually really proud of James for how he'd reacted.

Robards cleared his throat. "We talked about this a year ago and you turned me down flat; claimed you weren't ready to take the desk, but after today, I'd like for you to reconsider, Harry."

"Sir, I love being an Auror. I don't think that I'm ready to sit behind a desk yet," Harry admitted.

"If I'm honest, I'm not ready to jump away from the Dark Arts Unit either which is why I have a proposition for you. Savage is taking the leap up to Head Auror of the Auror Inquisitors Unit. It wasn't his first choice as he's been in the DAU since he started, but the advancement is good for him," Robards said. "But that's between you and me until he decides to announce it."

"Yes, Sir."

"Which means," Robards continued. "That I have an empty office next door waiting to be filled by my new Deputy Head."

Harry opened his mouth to protest, but Robards held his hands up.

"As Deputy Head, you'll still be in the field nine times of ten. You can still partner with Weasley, but you will be given more responsibility and help me keep the unit in line. It comes with a minuscule pay grade, but it's a good career move, Potter."

Harry knew that it was a good move. It wasn't that he didn't want to move up in the department, he did. It was just that he wasn't sure he was any more qualified to do so than Tonks or Baxter or Higgins or Proudfoot or Sully or any other Aurors who had higher seniority then him.

"Why me, Sir?" Harry asked.

Robards leaned back in his chair and linked his hands over his stomach before he spoke. "I've been with this department for fifty years, Potter. I've seen Aurors come and go and some of the best damn Aurors in the world have worked for me and with me over the years. You're one of the best, Potter. You moved up to an A3 faster than anyone has in over a century because you were ready. You had wartime experience that can't be taught and watching you work first with Higgins, then with Weasley has proven to me that you're the kind of Auror who was born to lead. Sure, there are other options other than you who I think could do well in the role, but I'm hoping to retire in the next five years and there's no one I trust more to leave this department to than you."

Harry swallowed, surprised at the words coming from Robards. "Thank you, Sir."

Robards pursed his lips. "I'm giving you four days off to spend time with your family and catch up on the sleep you missed pursing this investigation. I want an answer the day you come back."

"I can do that, Sir," Harry said. "Thank you for your confidence."

Robards waited until he reached the door before he said his name. "Potter, think about it. It would make you the youngest Deputy Head in over two hundred years and you deserve that bloody title."

Harry nodded and left Robards office conflicted over his thoughts. When he finally made it home that night, he found Ginny lying awake in their bed with James, Albus, and Lily all curled around her. Ella and Everett were in her arms and when she saw Harry, tears welled up in eyes.

Harry changed out of his robes and into sleep pants before he crawled across the bed, tugging Lily and Albus into his arms so that he could snuggle next to his wife and kissed her softly.

"It's over. They've both been shipped off to Azkaban to await a formal trial, but the sentences they're being charged with are steep."

Ginny blinked back tears. "I can't close my eyes. Every time I do, I see myself looking up and realizing that they're gone and… Harry, how did I let them go like that? What kind of mother am I?"

"Hey," he said, kissing her again. "You're an amazing mother. You did nothing wrong, Gin. These arseholes were looking for you and for our kids… fuck, if anyone's to blame I am."

He told her about how it all connected back to his first real case as an Auror and the arrest of Fletcher Fleming. By the time he finished, James had crawled over Ginny to lie against his father's hip.

"Did you put the bad men in jail, Dad?"

"Yeah, me and your Uncle Ron put them in jail, Jamie."

"Good," James said, yawning.

Harry smiled at his son and then carefully wrapped an arm around Ginny as she snuggled in around him and their kids. Harry kissed her forehead, holding Albus on one side as James' face was pressed against his hip and Lily was sandwiched half on him, half on Ginny while Ella and Everett slept on Ginny's chest. His eyes met his wife's in the darkness.

"It's over, Gin. Our family's right here."

Ginny nodded, finally letting her eyes close and Harry held his family close, grateful that everyone was whole.

It took a bit for life to get back to normal. James and Albus both had some nightmares after the event, ending up in bed with Harry and Ginny most nights, and Theo came over to sit with them after Harry asked. He was worried that the trauma of them being taken, even if only for eighteen hours, had been too much for them to handle.

Theo spoke to them together and then separately before he assured Harry that they were both doing all right.

"I'll come by again in a few days and check in on them, but you and Ginny are doing everything right, Harry. Your boys are going to be just fine, I promise."

Harry felt very reassured over that, but was still grateful that Theo kept coming by for a few weeks to talk to them. He talked to Ginny about Robards proposal and the more he spoke about it, the more he realized how much he wanted it. He called Ron over the day before they returned to work to tell him.

"Blimey, Deputy Head Auror Potter," Ron said with a grin. "Does that mean I have to take orders from you?"

"Don't you already?"

"Oh, haha," Ron said. "Seriously, mate. You deserve this. You should accept it."

"I think I am," Harry admitted. "Robards said that you would even still be stuck with me as a partner."

Ron grinned. "Well, we can't have everything can we, mate?"

Harry chuckled and hugged his best friend. He returned to work and gave Robards the news with plans of starting his new position in the new year. The second youngest Auror to have the promotion in the history of the Ministry of Magic; the first was actually his own ancestor, Henry Asher Potter who had been two months older than Harry was now when he'd taken on the position of Deputy Head of the Auror Department (it had all been one department back then). Harry was rather looking forward to having his own office with a door as well as his own personal desk that for once he wouldn't have to share with another Auror in the bullpen.

Christmas came and was a big celebration at Clevedon Court as Harry and Ginny had both of their large families there on Christmas Day. Kids were running everywhere along with Eggsy and Bucky while Jinx spent most of the day hiding from the chaos.

When Sirius asked about the baby due in May, Harry informed him that yes, he'd made another appointment with a healer in January to get another vasectomy and Sirius cackled.

"I can't believe it didn't work. That's like a one in a million chance or something."

"Well, Weasleys are known to be very fertile," Molly said, taking Ella from Harry. "I for one, am very pleased at the prospect of having another grandchild."

"Enjoy it, Mum," George said. "Once Nevra pops that one out you won't be having anymore."

Angelina rubbed a hand over her large stomach. She was due in three weeks with their fourth and George had gotten a vasectomy a few months ago to make sure of it. "I'm looking forward to this boy coming out, but I'm also excited that he'll be our last."

"Me too," Ginny said. "I love our kids, don't get me wrong, but Harry and I agreed on four and we somehow ended up with six."

"Hey, Number Five snuck in there," Harry protested. "I think it was Everett, he was sneaky."

Molly chuckled. "Well, I can't wait to meet my new grandson next month and my new…"

"No," Ginny said, making her mum pout. "Harry and I like to be surprised, Mum. You'll find out in May when we do."

"Moopa, come play with us," Lily called out as Remus gave her a look of adoration from where she was playing on the floor with her cousin Roxie.

Sirius snickered. "That never gets old."

"We both know that you're the one who got that name started with Jamie," Zee said.

"Me?" Sirius gasped, feigning innocence. "I would never!"

Harry smiled as he looked around at his growing family and thought there was nothing he would change.

Angelina gave birth to their third son and fourth child on the twenty-first of January 2012, whom they named Knox Logan Weasley. Molly was excited to welcome another grandson to the fold as Knox brought her up to eleven grandsons and on the ninth of May, Ginny gave birth to another little girl. They named her Genevieve Zahira Potter and when they said the name aloud, Zee burst into tears.

"Zee," Harry said, pulling her into his arms. "Don't cry, Mama."

The word 'mama,' which Harry had started using intermittently in the last few years, only made her cry harder.

"She's beautiful," Zee exclaimed, reaching to hold her newest grand baby.

"We're going to call her Evie, I think," Ginny said. "Genevieve is a beautiful name, but Gen is a bit close to Gin and yet Harry and I both loved it anyway."

"It's perfect," Zee assured them. "She's perfect. Hi, Evie, I'm your Zeema."

"And I'm your Padpa," Sirius said with a smile over his wife's shoulder.

Molly took hold of her granddaughter next, delighted in holding her thirteenth granddaughter in her arms. "Oh, Evie, you're going to be so spoiled! My very last grand baby!"

"Mum, you have a kazillion grandkids, you really can't complain about Evie being the last one," Ginny said.

Molly scoffed. "I most certainly can!"

Molly reluctantly passed Evie to Remus who smiled down at the bundle in his arms before he passed her to Tonks.

"Congrats, Mum and Dad. You did great work on Number Six," Remus said. "She's beautiful."

Harry wrapped his arms around his wife and kissed the top of her head. This pregnancy had been hard on both of them. Between Ginny's nightmares over the boys going missing and the worry that bringing another kid into this world was a bad idea, they'd spent a lot of time worried together.

"I'm scared," Ginny told him when she hit five months. "Harry, what if someone comes after the baby? What if I lose our kids again?"

"Hey, that's not going to happen. This was one bad thing and you're such a good mum, Ginny. The best. This baby is going to be so loved," Harry told her.

"Harry…"

He kissed her forehead. He knew how hard the last few months had been on her. Ginny still wouldn't take the kids anywhere with her unless she had someone else with her. She was afraid something was going to happen and on top of how uncomfortable her pregnancy had been, Harry didn't want to press her.

"I love you. I love Six. I love Jamie, Alby, Lily, Ella, and Everett. I love our family. I know you will protect them."

When she finally went into labour and Padma came to help her deliver, Ginny had squeezed his hand.

"I'm not ready."

"Yes, you are," he said, kissing her hard. "You're the bravest woman I know, Ginny Potter. Let's welcome Six to our family officially."

And when their third daughter had been born, they both cried.

Harry shook the thoughts from his head and smiled as Sirius and Remus each hugged him in congratulations. Then Tonks brought Ella and Everett into the room to meet their new little sister before Zee went to find James, Albus, and Lily. Half a second later, they heard their kids before they saw them.

"Dad! Alby took my red legos!"

"Did not!" Albus shouted back. "Jamie took it from me first!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"MUM!" They both bellowed.

Harry exchanged a look with Ginny and they both grinned.

Some things never changed.
