The moment Heimdall announced the match to begin, Sun and Yasuke lunged at each other, and their weapons clashed. Many of the gods were shocked that Yasuke was able to withstand Sun's power.

Sun chuckled slightly, "Well, I'll be."

Heimdall gasped, "I-incredible! Yasuke is matching Sun Wukong in the strength department!"

Yasuke goes for a series of slashes which is met by Sun deflecting each strike. Sun tries to do a quick side swipe, but Yasuke blocks and forces Sun to lower his staff. Then the black samurai raised his blade for an upper slashing attack, but the monkey king backflips out of the way.

"Damn," Yasuke muttered.

Sun gave his opponent a cheeky grin.

"Not bad. Despite using that lumbering sword, you wield it as if it's an actual katana."

Yasuke smiled back.

"Thank you. Back in Japan, katanas always broke when I used them. So Nobunaga gave me an odachi to compliment my strength."

Sun smirks, "Okay then. Let's see if your volund can take this! Extend!"

Sun jumps into the air, and then Riyu Bang extends as the monkey king swings it down towards Yasuke.

"Jingu Bang: Crushing Downward Dragon!"

As the staff is coming down, Yasuke blocks it with his volund. However, the immense weight of Sun's divine weapon causes the samurai to drop to one knee.

"Ohoho, it seems Sun has Yasuke pin beneath his staff! It seems Yasuke is about to be crushed," Heimdall said.

As Sun applied pressure on Yasuke, the samurai tilted his blade, for the staff slid off. Yasuke run on Sun again for another attack. Yasuke winds up for an upward strike.

"Raging Demon Uproar!"

Sun narrowly dodged as a few strands of hair cut from the side of his face.

As Sun backed up, Sun chuckled lightly, "Hehehe, talk about a close shave! Am I right?"

A loud voice bellowed on the gods' side of the arena, alerting Sun.

"Oi! Sun, stop wasting time and kick his ass already!"

The voice came from a large pig-like man with a pot belly, brown eyes, protruding tusks, and a long black goatee. He wears a worn-out blue gi which shows his stomach, and a black scarf.

Patron Saint of the Red Light District

Zhu Bajie (China)

As Zhu cheered vigorously, standing next to him, a gigantic well-toned man with a thick orange beard, green eyes, and blue-striped skin. He has on greyish-blue Shaolin robes and prayer beads across his chest.

"Zhu Bajie. I don't know why you're cheering for Sun. I doubt he will fall to the human."

Ascended Sand Guardian

Sha Wujing (China)

Zhu snorts, "Yeah, but after Ms. Perfect fell to a nerd, Sun can't get lazy! Am I Trip?"

Sitting between Bajie and Wujing is a young bald man with amber eyes. He wears a white sacred robe with an ornate design and wields a khakkhara staff.

Patron Saint of Knowledge of Travellers

Tang Xuanzang/Tripitaka (China)

Tripitaka sighed, "I don't know why you're asking me? I'm particularly against this Ragnarok, but it can't be helped. I wish the Jade Emperor didn't have our friend fighting in this meaningless bloodshed."

"To that, we agree, Xuanzang," Erlang Shen said as he stood behind them.

Many of the gods were shocked to see Shen in the crowd.

Zhu Bajie babbled, "L-l-lord Shen! What are you-"

Erlang Shen sat down and said, "I want to see how Sun's doing, that's all."

As Erlang Shen watches the match, he can see Sun's sad expression.

'Tell me, Sun; do you not want humanity's destruction, or are you still numb to your godhood?'

Back in the arena, Yasuke continued to go on the offensive as Sun blocked each attack. Yasuke also noticed the emptiness of joy on his opponent's face.

'Hm? Why is he making that look? Is he sad for humanity, or is it something else?'

Then Randgriz chimes in Yasuke's head.

"I don't know, but I can feel his pain. But we must win for humanity, Yasuke."

Yasuke sighed under his breath, "I know."

Yasuke shoves Sun back, then he raises his right leg.

Heimdall yelled, "Wait, what is he doing!"

Yasuke slams his right foot, which causes a medium-sized shockwave.

Great Stone Bellow: Vengeful Earth Spirit

The shockwave caused the ground to erupt and threw Sun off his balance.

"He's got an opening! Go for it, Yasuke-chan," Ranmaru said excitingly.

Yasuke charges towards the Monkey King with his nodachi poised to strike. Then with one swift motion, Yasuke cleanly decapitated Sun's head from his shoulders.

The headless body stood as the head hit the ground.

Heimdall gasped, "By the gods! Yasuke has...has...has just decapitated Sun Wukong! Th-this is unprecedented!"

Then the humans cheered as it seemed Yasuke had provided a quick victory to round four. However, many of the gods are unfazed; in fact, they smile with hidden mischief.

"Hey, why the hell are they smiling about," One of the humans said.

Yasuke swung the blood off his blade and knew something wasn't right.

"This doesn't feel right. That was far too easy for this fight to end."

Yasuke was right when the headless Sun Wukong charged and stuck the samurai in the abdomen.

"Aargh!" Yasuke roared as he was sent flying and hitting the ground.

Heimdall then announces, "Oh? Ohohoho, it seems Sun has to remind us that it will take more than decapitation to kill him! Know he got the advantage over the Obsidian Samurai!"

The human onlookers fell silent as it became clear that this battle would not go the way they wanted.

Meanwhile, Goll looks on with worry.

"Sis, Hera, I...I don't get it! I thought a volund could kill a god, even immortals like Sun. So how could he still be alive!?"

Hera soughed, "It's because he achieved immortality seven times."

Goll inhaled

"What! But how?!"

Brunhilde explains to her sister, "Throughout his life, Lord Wukong sought the means of being an immortal. From learning the breathing technique from a sage to eating the sacred peaches of longevity. He can't be killed by normal means."

Goll said meekly, "So for Yasuke to defeat Lord Wukong. He'll have to kill him seven times..."

Hera and Brunhilde nodded.

In the arena, Yasuke got up to one knee and saw Sun's body pick up the head.

"I told you, Yasuke. You could have forfeited while you still had the chance," Sun spoke as his head was reattached to his body.

Sun worked on his neck as he walked towards his foe.

"Now, you'll have to run the gauntlet and..."

"Know my curse."
