Silver-white hair, brown skin, black feathered wings, and a cloud of fire burning on their upper back. The ancient native residents above the Red Line itself were long thought to be extinct after being usurped from their Kingdom of Gods, a place known as Kami no Kuni, except that there were survivors. I am the one who will bring eternal glory back to my lineage. So come and face me, if you a brave man. I'm Naruto. I'm a Lunarian!

Lunarian Imperial Flames

Chapter 1 (Prologue)

"Surviving!"

"Don't you know that, you fool?! Walk away right now or start running madly for your life!

He is a remnant of the extinct Lunarian Tribe!

A monster that can survive in any natural environment.

In the distant past, 'gods'... That's what they were called!"

~?

A long time ago, in the entirely distant past, and long before Mary Geoise dominated the top of the Red Line, usurping it and turning it into their residence building their massive Pangea Castle to house their so-called Celestial Dragons, as well as their slaves and those Five Elders. Long before all this happened there used to be a place called "Kingdom of Gods", also known as "Kami no Kuni".

Little is known about its general history, but there was something that was not completely forgotten by the sands of time and the cover-ups of those who held the power to control knowledge, for within that ancient realm lived among them inhabitants who used to be known notably as a tribe of 'gods' while they lived on top of Red Line, and they were the Tribe of Lunarians.

At first glance, their appearance did not appear to be all that different, this was in part because they shared similar visual features with humans, although Lunarians still possessed especially distinctive traits, which were: a pair of black feathered wings on the back, as well as silvery white hair and mostly brown skin. In addition, beings of the race had a visible column of fire burning almost constantly on their upper back.

These beings considered 'gods' in their golden age were able to emit fire from their own bodies due to their highly skilled biology, being able to use, control and arm in combat. Not only that, but a Lunarian's wings granted their race the ability to fly fast and extremely consistently without any visible drain, that being a fundamental member of their own bodies.

This is without considering that they also possessed incredible stamina, strength and physical durability, allowing them to thrive in any natural environment.

Exactly.

Lunarians could survive and evolve in any natural environment, without suffering from the deficiencies imposed by any atmosphere. They were the real predators in the whole world, no wonder they were considered gods.

However, under unknown circumstances, this tribe of 'gods' was mysteriously almost extinct. Almost. Leaving only one to tell the tale, because it was of occult understanding that there was a single survivor of the tribe being brutally hunted down to be experimented on by the World Government, as well as any other member of the race that was later discovered, as they were scattered across the world at a price and a reward for any tip on the whereabouts of a Lunarian, currently worth 100,000,000, so for all intents and purposes there shouldn't be another survivor, right?

Not. They were all wrong.

Because there was one more notable survivor. And he was special.

A prodigious and unique boy of just 10 years old. His name? Oh. That was easy to find out. Very easy, because after all, all beings liked to eat and they may or may not, at some point, have come across their name, whether after a full meal from a bowl full of noodles or just reading a cookbook in specific. He didn't really like to talk, but his name was-

CLASH!

"Naruto!"

The man who desperately shouted this was staring intently into sapphire blue eyes sharpened with blue colored irises that have thin circles around the pupil of a tan-skinned boy, and long silvery white hair braided at neck length with light blond highlights.

The boy who wore a simple white T-shirt, black knee-length shorts and leather boots, had black feathered wings and a visibly constant column of fire across his upper back, proudly declaring his race and descent. Around his neck, he sported a thin necklace of glittering jewels, and attached to the center was a small crown that had what appeared to be four sharp points.

The boy who called himself Naruto, just stopped a few meters in front of him with a calm posture firmly holding an intricate spear strangely flaming in orange in his right hand, apart from that he also wore a white scabbard that showed the hilt of what appeared to be a long saber on the left side of his hip, although he was showing no signs of making any aggressive moves towards him after the last scream.

An act that made the man sigh deeply in relief and a disgusting smile showing rotted broken teeth slowly creep across his face which was smeared with ash from the confrontation. Smirking as he made a decision, reaching behind his back to grab the rusty knife he was keeping hidden under his robes in case of emergencies, seeing that the winged brat wasn't moving. The boy wasn't even blinking, just staring hard. The man had to hold back a shudder. Not. One. Damn. Wink.

But noticing that he knew the kid wouldn't know what was coming and he would still get that 100,000,000 bounty the World Government placed on the brat race. With luck he would become rich in less than 1 day and buy some more slaves for his starter collection! Who knows he could buy a fishman or a mermaid? Those were rare these days!

'Heh. Fool! You- UGH!' - his mirth was painfully interrupted, for unfortunately for him his malicious plans as a slaver would not see the light of day. Not today, not ever.

"YARI ANDON! (Flame Emperor's Fire Spear!)" - whispered the silent boy who seemed to be frozen many meters away, suddenly moving very quickly, only to appear in front of the unsuspecting man who only had time to notice that the flames in the the boy's back had been blacked out, before he was brutally shot by the child's spear directly in the lower region of his body.

SQUELCH!

"You… You… You bastard!" - moaned painfully the unknown man spitting a lot of blood. He felt his organs start to catch fire and the blood rising in his throat, so he looked down, only to see an image that made him even more terrified, as the boy's flaming spear went through his ribcage and out the other side of your body. - "What are you doing?! Stop, stop!" - in shock he tried to ask and ended up screaming in panic starting to struggle madly, losing control over the rusty knife that fell harmlessly to the ground.

Naruto didn't even blink looking at the dirty knife lying on his feet and just calmly raised the blue eyes that couldn't belong to a simple innocent child to seriously face the suffering screams of the man in front of him that was starting to be consumed by the fire that bathed the entire flaming spear very slowly. Giving him enough time to ask some important questions.

"You, humans, are very fragile and yet you keep coming on and on! I was right here, standing still and not interfering with your business. Who do you think you are to attack me like that?!" - demanded the black-winged child, staring hard at the man who was on fire and daring to try to deceive him for his own nefarious purposes. Something that would never go down well with him.

"Hah… Hah…" - panting, the latter seemed to be coming to his senses as the shock of being burned alive was pushed out of his system by the voice and serious tone that came from the child.

"Tell me why!" - Naruto demanded again, pushing the flaming spear even further into the man's body, who screamed desperately again and the smell of raw and burning flesh took over his senses.

"Right! Right! I will tell you everything! I speak! Just... Please... Don't kill me!" - cried aloud the man who trafficked slaves looking at the boy and begging for that pain to stop. When he felt the flames recede, he didn't even think to thank him and started to pour out everything he knew.

"All I know is that the World Government has placed a 100,000,000 bounty on your head and all other members of your Lunarian race! I don't know how many of you there are in the world right now, but by all means your race is completely extinct with the only exception being you and maybe one other!" - he ended with a scream saying everything he knew breathing painfully from the constant loss of blood. It was evident that there were many holes in his speech, because most of the information was classified, just like everything else under the World Government, except for a few others.

Naruto, hearing this, was silent. A dull ache assaulted the small child's heart at the information being thrown at it.

Somehow he could feel that the things the man said were not lies or inventions caused by despair. So did that mean that his entire tribe, his entire race, his entire people… was wiped out?

Why? What happened? What they did? Why did this happen?

"Hah… Hah…"

Hearing the panting breath of the man who now had the grotesque appearance of living human flesh, but still breathing very painfully, Naruto didn't even care. He was still completely absorbed in his own thoughts at the revelation. It was too much to bear.

Who was able to do that against his race?! And why was he still alive? Where was the other? Who had the courage to reduce their entire tribe to just two members?! After that final thought, an oppressive feeling began to be heavily awakened from his being to be released into the surrounding atmosphere.

And for that reason, the flames that were once completely orange were being changed to a frightening black color that glowed menacingly, as the heat intensified more and more.

A few drops of black fire broke out from his own winged body which had started to catch fire, though remarkably he was unharmed due to his Lunarian biology. These 'fire drops' fell to the ground, burning deep into the earth until there were little scorching holes around them.

Tremor.

Sadness.

Rage.

These were the feelings that were trying to dominate the spirit of the child who remained steadfast despite his once blue eyes turning red.

The ground cracked very slightly as Naruto unconsciously let out a low hiss, and in the aftermath, as if answering his call, a large dome invisible to human eyes spread out from its position, with his own body as the epicenter of this burst of sensation powerful and oppressive.

"Hey... let go of me... I... I already told you everything." - ignorant of what was happening at the moment with the boy's feelings, the man who had closed his eyes to try to better bear the pain thought he had done everything right and could already see himself being pampered by his slaves, so he didn't see the death of hellfire arrive in time to regret having messed with someone far superior to him in the food chain.

"I am the one who commands. Be consumed to your spirit by the heat of my flames! - AMATERASU! (Realm of Infernal Flames!)"

After that name left Naruto's mouth something extraordinary happened. The explosion of majestic black flames that spread in a dome-spiral shape for meters out of his body, consumed the slaver in a blink of an eye until his bones turned to ash, his cries of wail and dread being swallowed up by the burning flame.

In the next moment the landscape was modified, considering how much land the terrifying fire covered in a short time, it was not a surprise to face the large level of destruction around it.

Taking a deep breath to try to calm down a bit after receiving this news, Naruto looked at what he had done, and didn't even pay attention to the dealer's ashes being carried away by the wind that started blowing hard at that time, because his attention was called to the color of the new fire that climbed up his arm and covered his whole body, along with the floor of that part of the island.

'This is new.'

He directed his analytical eyes to the wind that blew hard and still didn't put out the flames that burned even more intensely. Don't be fooled by his childish features, despite being only 10 years old, he was still a child that could easily be considered extremely intelligent beyond human standards.

Deciding to test a theory that crossed his mind, still shadowed by the events that had just taken place, he bowed still without letting go of the spear gripped tightly in his right hand, and then the silver-white haired boy noticed how the fire danced around him, no inflicting any damage to its physical structure, not even a scorching. Almost as if they were welcoming their owner home after a long time without seeing each other.

"These… these are my flames!" - Naruto exclaimed surprised holding the black flame in his left hand with a look of recognition passing through his eyes that turned blue again, while the other was occupied by his flaming spear which was now slowly being bathed in black fire.

"Who should 'Joy Boy' be?"

"Why can't I still remember everything that happened?"

"Why am I down here?!"

"Who is 'Alber'?"

"And why, no matter where I go, people look at me with those eyes and try to attack me, kidnap me or kill me?! What have I done so wrong to these people?!"

"I don't remember harming anyone!"

"And I can't get a headache from thinking so much! My head should already be exploding with so many questions! I am just a child!"

"Okay, I need to calm down. Think, Naruto, think… what is the last thing you remember before waking up on that island?" - the boy stopped in the middle of the island, inhaled calmly taking his hand to his chin and his mind went back to the past.

Fire.

Undoing.

Chaos.

Screams.

Blood.

Black wings and black feathers scattered in all directions. No matter where he directed his blue eyes that was all he could see.

"Naruto-sama! Naruto-sama! Naru-!"

Naruto instantly closed that can of worms with a sigh. He had a slight frown spread across his childish face at those bitter memories.

'It's not much use thinking about it now. I need to gather information about everything that is happening in the world. Whatever happened to me, it's keeping me from remembering the so-called tragedy that led to the extinction of my people.' - Naruto thought looking at the sky with an unfamiliar look on his tanned features. He then turned his blue eyes to the darkest part of the island, having decided that he would delve into the depths to see if he could find anything pertinent that could help him out of this mess.

The beating of his night-black wings was the last trace the silver-white haired boy left in his wake as he flew away.

As he walked away without looking back, the black fire still continued relentlessly devouring the earth and everything it touched, leaving no visible traces, like fire itself being spewed straight from the depths of the mouth of hell.

At the same time in the open sea near the Island

A ship of large proportions was crossing the stormy sea and a dialogue was taking place.

"Captain! I see an island!" - that was the excited cry of a child who had a red clown nose and was using a spyglass to see the scorching island that was on fire in the distance.

"I was the one who saw it first!" - another cry of a child accompanied the first, but this one seemed to be a little indignant and also a little louder than the first, reproducing the same actions, while facing the edge of the burning island with his own spyglass. A straw hat was covering his red hair.

"No, you liar! I saw!" - bit the first child when he saw himself being accused by his partner.

"Alright, Buggy. You did not see anything." - joked the second child with a sly tone and called his friend's name for the first time.

"Yes, I saw- Wait! What?! Yes, I saw it first!" - The child now identified as being Buggy, one of the pirate apprentices on the current ship, fumbled.

"Wahahahaha! Shanks! Buggy! Stop fighting!" - the mature voice that called the two boys had come from a tall and mustachioed man who was standing at the front of the ship. He had a giant smile on his face watching the two boys play.

"But it was Shanks who started first, captain!" - resigned Buggy pointed harshly to his friend. The boy with the clown nose scowled and crossed his arms looking in the opposite direction.

"Oh, Buggy… it's okay. You saw it first. Happy?" - replied the other child now formally introduced as Shanks. The red-haired boy had put a hand to hold his straw hat on account of the strong winds during the storm taking place.

"You and your annoying way..." - Buggy's growl was ignored by Shanks who kept trying to fight his hat, and that only seemed to irritate the boy with the clown nose even more.

"Stop it, brats!"

"Aaah! Gaban-san!" - the two boys exclaimed aloud, raising their hands in the air and interrupting the discussion when they faced a tall man who carried two axes on each side of his hip and wore dark glasses.

"Roger-senchou." - called in alarm a blond man approaching the captain of the pirate ship.

"You feel it too, huh, Rayleigh?! What do you think?" - looking to the side, Gol D. Roger, a Great Pirate, asked this facing his first mate who was coming towards him carrying a bottle of wine in his hand.

"Yea. Seems like a very powerful person." - replied simply the man known as the 'Dark King', Silvers Rayleigh. He was also looking in the same direction as his captain.

"It's like a monster is lurking on that giant island, isn't it!" - exclaimed Gol D. Roger with a giant smile on his mustachioed face. He seemed almost anxious at the idea that was not unfamiliar to anyone who knew him.

"Let me guess that you still want to go there, don't you, captain?" - Rayleigh asked raising an eyebrow. He knew his captain too well not to notice when he was interested in something. The first mate wouldn't lie in saying he wasn't either, because whatever was on that island was trying to mess with his senses.

"Wahahahaha! Am I that obvious, Rayleigh?! Change course to that island full of blazing fire, folks! We have one more adventure ahead!"

"ROGER, Captain Roger!"

To be continued.

"So you two have this?"

"What are you saying, boy?"

"Care to explain further, young man?"

"I asked what two users who exude the 'quality of a king' want with me!"

"Be my new nakama! You seem very strong, boy!"

"I understand your request, but first I have something to clarify."

"First: don't call me that term again. And secondly, I will not be submitting to anyone in this world, no matter what the reasons or consequences."

"Please explain to me who you are!"

"It may be, but I will ask for something in return."

"Yea! Order whatever you want, as long as it's not too extreme!"

"Very good. Listen. It is my knowledge that every tribe in the world has a leader. I imagine it's like that for you too, among humans? Or at least it should be."

"Then…? What do you mean by that? What you are?"

"I am someone who was born to be a King."

"And what is your ambition? If I may ask."

"I have no problem telling you that, pirate. I will simply bring glory to the Lunarians once more and burn anyone who dares to stand in my way."

"Alone?!"

"Yea."

"Have you met that boy before, Roger-senchou?"

"No, my boy. Why?"

"You're welcome, captain. I just felt he was very strong."

"Wahahahaha! He was not? Really strong!"
