Day #11 - New York
Different daytime and nighttime shots of the New York landscapes can be seen before we get a shot of the hosts in front of the camera.
"Hello, viewers!" Chris smirked. "Last time on Total Drama, we had a… rushed challenge." He hesitantly said and sighed.
Don then took over. "It was Faith who wasn't able to make it into the finale."
"However, we also have some chaos going on behind the scenes." Candela added. She was sitting in a chair as her arm was still resting on her armrest. "And it's all because of Hah. We ended up finding out about everything he's caused."
Chef rubbed his hands together. "But everything turned out pretty okay as he had been sent to jail." He smirked. "Let's just hope he doesn't make a comeback."
"Yeah." Candela nodded in agreement. "It's like, 8:13 right now in the morning. If Hah's coming back, then the time would be 13:13:13."
"...What?" Everyone asked her at the same time with pure dumbfounded expressions written on their faces.
"Anyway," Chris narrowed his eyes towards his co-hosts. "We're now in the finale episode of this season. Who will win it all? Will it be Clayton the emo? Olivia the weird speaker? Or Xavier the not really outcast anymore? Find out on-"
"TOTAL DRAMA ACT I: MUSICAL IMPACT!" Everyone shouted before the screen faded to the finale opening.
*Finale Theme*
Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine
The theme song starts off slow as the screen splits into five, getting a shot of the contestants. First was Oli who fell into the water. Second was May in her elimination. Third, we get a clip of Samuel tuning his guitar. Fourth was Faith dropping her phone after a phone call. And lastly was Arreis being dragged away from the office.
You're always on my mind
Next, we see a clip of Kimmie gasping at her score, a clip of Spear peeking from a curtain, a clip of Amanda saving a teammate from a falling plank, a clip of Sal staring menacingly towards the camera, and Gabe looking ahead of him.
You asked me what I wanted to be
Robert was seen in another clip resting on the grass. It then goes into a clip of Mairead in a dark room. After that, it shows Meredith looking in a mirror, Vivianne staring on the stage, and Evander scowling and crossing his arms.
And now I think the answer is plain to see
The screen now splits into three, which shows Clayton, Olivia, and Xavier glaring intently at each other, indicating them as the finalists of the stage.
I wanna be famous
Three coins were tossed into the air and landed on a table at the same time. The audience behind them cheered for the finalists.
I wanna be a rising star
The camera zooms into each one of the finalists, before transitioning into a flashback.
Go pack your bags, I've already gone far
The first flashback shown was the fire as everyone escaped the building.
Everything to prove, what can you say?
The second flashback showed the cast jumping off the sinking ship to save their lives.
I'll be there one day
The third flashback was a happy scene from the anniversary episode as everyone shared their happy memories.
'Cause I wanna be famous
The flashbacks faded as the three finalists smirked triumphantly against each other.
*whistling in tune*
The screen fades to a stage background with red curtains, where "Total Drama Act I: Musical Impact" was written in gold. "Episode 15: This Is My Last Act" is written in silver letters under it and musical notes surrounds the title card.
*End finale theme*
Total Drama Act I: Musical Impact
Episode 17: This Is My Last Act
"I'm gonna win this once and for all."
Hotel Room #1
Olivia was currently in her bed, staring directly at the ceiling. She felt so alone all of a sudden since Candela left the room to go film the intro and Faith was no longer in the competition. She sighed and grabbed her phone that was laying on the night table, and took a look at it.
There was a message from Xavier. It read, "Hey! Good morning! Clayton and I are already up so you can go visit our room some time before the final challenge. :)"
Olivia smirked at the reply. Usually in the finale, everyone is up against each other. But in this case, even though they were all opponents, they were still friends.
She got up and changed, thus quickly heading out for the door to the other room.
Hotel Room #2
"Did she send a reply?" Clayton asked Xavier from his bed. He rubbed his eyes and yawned a bit, seemingly not really excited for the day.
"No, I don't see a new message." Xavier sighed as he placed his phone back into his backpack. "I doubt that she's coming."
Knock knock!
"Guess you were wrong." Clayton smirked. A smile also was plastered on Xavier's face as he ran to the front door, and indeed saw Olivia.
"Greetings!" Olivia bowed to the two boys and entered. "How was your morning?" She asked before taking a seat at the nearby armchair.
"Pretty slow so far." Xavier commented. "Clayton just woke up, and of course the interns and hosts are downstairs in the lobby as usual."
"You guys still have your coins?" Clayton asked groggily but a grinned formed in his face as the other two finalists held up both of their respective coins. He joined them and held his own coin up as well. "Good thing we didn't lost them."
The three shared a brief chuckle before glancing at each other a few seconds later. "I'm gonna admit, I miss the others."
"I wholeheartedly agree with you." Olivia nodded at his response, smoothing her hand against the armrest of the armchair she was sitting on. "I miss all the fights, the friendships, the relationships…"
The two boys looked at each other and back at her. It was weird that they also missed the negative sides, but they all agreed that rhese moments made them grow stronger and into the finalists they are now today.
"What do you guys think the challenge would be?" Xavier asked them.
"Something that involves coins, that's for sure." Clayton rested his head on his pillow. "Maybe they're gonna make us find our coins like needles in a haystack."
"I don't think it would be that difficult, though." Olivia shared her answer, earning stares from the other two.
"But… don't you think that this finale challenge will be harder than all the challenges we had?" Xavier asked her.
Olivia shook her head. "Last challenge wasn't so difficult." She explained. "Sure, it was impromptu, but it just made things easier instead of memorizing a full musical."
Clayton blinked thrice before nodding at her response. "I see… then… I guess we shouldn't worry for what's gonna come, huh?"
The other two nodded as well in full agreement.
"Have they made an announcement about when will the challenge take place, though?" Xavier asked them, jutting a hand on his chin.
"Not yet." Clayton answered, before emitting a small chuckle. "We haven't done anything so far besides asking each other questions."
"Yeah, well wanna go grab something to eat?" Xavier asked the two.
"That's sounds like a wonderful idea." Olivia grinned as she stood up. "Let's head downstairs."
"You two go on ahead, I'm gonna go get changed." Clayton declared, before getting some clothes on his backpack and heading for the bathroom.
"Alright then, see you downstairs." Xavier waved as he and Olivia left the room, heading for the lobby.
Lobby, Dining Hall
Meanwhile in the hotel's dining hall, the camera pans to the interns, who appear to be happily eating their breakfast.
"This season got so much better ever since Hah left." Dustin grinned as he ate a piece of bread. "No complaining, no mischief, no arguing, yeah."
Dean chuckled after he took a sip of his coffee. "Well, I hate to toot on your own horn, but this is the final episode. We'll probably be seeing Hah in the reunion. And mind you, the reunion is happening a few weeks or months after this episode."
"Oh god. Please no, for the love of everything great and small." Eden whined as she stirred her cup of hot cocoa.
"I am so quitting my job here." Louiza declared, sighing before taking a spoon of macaroni and cheese. "Hah just made this thing ten times worse than what I expected it to be."
"That's good." Maya smirked. "We don't need a dumbass like you anyway."
Louiza was about to fire an insult back at the dark-skinned intern, but Noah interrupted her before she could do so.
"You-"
"Welp, that wasn't very nice." Noah commented, scooting about a chair away from Maya.
"I'm glad you're not acting like the Noah from the original cast." Maya rolled her eyes after she saw Noah did his action.
"Can we just get along?" Mara sqieaked. "It's the last episode, we shouldn't be fighting-"
"Says you, teeny tiny." Maya spat and stood up, holding her tray. "I'm outta here."
As soon as Maya left, the interns saw Olivia and Xavier past the intern, in which Maya almost bumped Olivia while she kept a scowl on her face. Olivia shrugged at the ordeal as she and Xavier went to grab their food.
"She's been like that all season." Xavier commented as he got his tray.
"She shouldn't be our problem anymore. She probably likes Hah for all I care." Olivia shrugged and the two headed for the interns table.
"Hey, guys!" Louiza smiled towards them. "Congrats on making it to the finale!"
"Thanks." Xavier smiled, taking a seat next to Noah and Olivia sitting next to him. "What's the deal with Maya though?"
"Oh, she's just being a total whackjob, that's for sure." Eden rolled her eyes. "Hey, where's Clayton?"
"He's getting changed, but he will join us in a bit." Olivia answered and began to eat.
"Speaking of Clayton," Xavier nudged her elbow as he saw Clayton already getting his own tray of food, before joining the rest.
"Hey, everyone." Clayton said, before taking a seat next to Dean.
"Glad to see you're opening up even mre than before." Dean commented.
Olivia nodded along with the intern's comment. "So did Xavier."
Louiza let out a small chuckle. "It's kinda funny to think that the two most introverted contestants made it to the finale."
"I agree." Mara whispered.
"So… do you guys have any idea on what could the final challenge be?" Xavier asked them.
The interns all glanced at each other. "Nope."
Clayton narrowed his eyes towards them. He seemingly thinks that they do have an idea of what in the world could it be, but they just wouldn't tell them.
Clayton (Finalist): "They could be hiding something… maybe the final challenge is dangerous." He shudders a bit at his own thought.
Eden (Intern): "Yes, we do have an idea on what it is, but we discussed it off-camera. The hosts told us not to spill a single bean on them."
After having breakfast, everyone pitched in and help put away their scraps before going back into their rooms, as there was no announcement yet.
Hotel Room #2
The three finalists made their way back up to their room and immediately plopped themselves on the beds.
"This day has been nothing but uneventful so far these past hours." Olivia remarks to her opponents as she tucked a piece of hair away from her face.
Clayton buried his head on one of the pillows. "You can say that again."
"I have a feeling that the challenge will take place in the night." Xavier randomly comments.
The three all stared at the ceiling, as nothing was happening to them so far.
Night #11
The camera now fades to the hosts as they stare upon on the balcony, gazing on the sunset.
Candela was sitting on a chair, gazing on to her phone with her free hand. "It's already 5:30. Should we go tell them to prepare themselves?"
Chris rolled his eyes, heading towards the exit. "I don't know about the lot of you, but I'll be chilling in the van if you need me." He announces for himself, exiting the balcony.
Don and Chef both glanced at each other, before turning to Candela.
"We probably should." Don remarks. "I mean, the rest of the cast will be heading there soon, right?"
A faint beep was heard from Candela's phone. Some keyboard effects were heard before she turned her attention back to her two other co-hosts. "The former contestants are on their way there." She announced. "Or at least that's what Mairead texted me."
"You have the phone numbers of the other contestants?" Chef widened his eyes.
"Of course I do, it's best to keep in touch in case they get back for Act II." Candela said, a bemused smirk forming on her face which made her look like she seemingly forgot about what happened to her arm. As soon as she didn't recieve a response from either two of her co-hosts, she stood up andturned to left. "I'll go tell the others to get ready. You two go round up the staff or something. We should be there before seven in the evening."
"Aye aye, captain…" Don saluted in the most unenthusiastic way he could muster.
Later on, we now see the vans from the parking lot leave the hotel and continued on into the city that was enveloped with lights.
Statue of Liberty, New York - 6:45 PM
As the van was seen parking, the three couldn't help but look at the massive sight from their car windows. The Statue of Liberty seemed a bit far away as they still have to take a boat, but there was something in it that made it looked so glorious even from afar, especially with all the lights.
The hosts and the finalists had now gotten off the van and looked at the wonder in such a distance away from them.
"You're telling me that the final challenge will take place… over there?" Xavier asked the hosts, his eyes widening but completely astonished at the sight.
"Um… duh. Explain why we're here then." Candela rolled her eyes, causing Xavier to step back.
"I was just wondering…" Xavier muttered.
Clayton looked around them, and saw two more vans approaching. "Who are those?" He asked as both vans parked right next to the one they were riding on earlier.
"You'll find out later." Chris plainly answered as he pointed to the docks. "But right now, we're gonna have to cross the water to get there."
Olivia sighed. "How many boats have we used in this season only to sink back into the water?"
Don silently chuckled at the question. Oh, the irony. "More than enough."
The hosts and the finalists have boarded the boat and headed for Liberty Island where the Statue of Liberty was. As soon as the boat docked, everyone got out and looked at the wonder in front of them.
"I can't believe we are actually standing in front of this…" Clayton widened his eyes.
"Before we explain what the final challenge is, please look over to your right." Chef instructed, causing the three finalists to do so.
There were three long benches placed on the side where they were looking at. Behind those benches were the cameramen, and they seem to be hiding some people behind them, judging the excessive movement.
"...anyway… we have brought the former competitors to cheer you guys on for the last episode!" Candela announced. "Over here for Team Clayton, we have Oli, Robert, Gabe, Kimmie, and Amanda!"
The five mentioned all came in wearing red shirts as they sat on the far right bench, waving towards the finalists.
Don turned back to them. "For Team Xavier we have Mairead, Evander, Spear, Meredith, and May!"
The next batch of five came in, wearing blue shirts. They cheered as they sat on the middle bench, both Meredith and May placing their crutches next to them.
"And for Team Olivia, we have Faith, Sal, Vivianne, Arreis, and Samuel!" Chris says as the last five entered, wearing yellow shirts. They sat down on the left bench and cheered while Arreis was pushing Vivianne who was on a wheelchair.
"...make way for the disabled." Dela Rosa the camerawoman ordered from behind, waiting for Arreis and Vivianne to settle themselves down. (Arreis ain't disabled, mind you)
Everyone stared in utter silence as soon as the two took their places.
Vivianne (8th Placer): "...Why is everyone so quiet?"
Candela clapped her hands twice, ending what seemed like an everlasting silence between the cast. "Okay, clowns. So your challenge…" she pointed towards the Statue of Liberty behind. "...is going to be a race to the top."
"...WHAT!?" Olivia widened her eyes at the announcement of the challenge. "So… you are saying that we finalists are going to take this possibly dangerous quest that will most likely make us collapse out of extreme fatigue and exhaustion?"
Candela raised an eyebrow at her words but shrugged anyway. "If that's how you interpret it, then I don't care."
Don decided to take over the wheel. "All of the former competitors from each team will be sent to the crown of the statue. They will guide you on going up."
"...how exactly?" Clayton asked.
"Cables and ropes are going to be attached to you so that you don't fall off and… well… die." Chris shrugged. "Your helpers are assigned to pull you up using those cables. And they're five in each team so that you won't fall."
"...isn't that a bit unfair for me though?" Xavier raised his hand.
"Unfair?" Mairead asked back as she looked at her co-helpers.
"Meredith and May are injured. I don't think they'll be able to help." Xavier answered.
Olivia narrowed her eyes. "Just be glad that they both aren't as injured as Vivianne." She remarked.
"Yeah." Chef just nodded, ignoring all the concerns made. "Anyway, once you get up, you have to insert your coin on the monitor located inside at the crown. The first one to insert their coin in the monitor will be the ultimate champion of Total Drama Act I: Musical Impact. And if you get up there and somehow lose your coin… then… a huge oof for you." Chef smirked.
The three finalists shook each other's hands for good luck, before putting on a bodysuit with extremely long cables and ropes attached to it. The edges of the cables and ropes were already on the top where the crown was, but it seems as they weren't tightened yet as everything was still pretty loose.
The former competitors were then sent inside the statue and headed up for the crown.
Xavier gulped as he watched them leave the area. "Not gonna lie, I'm honestly wishing that I wasn't a finalist right now."
"Same, this challenge is kinda scary now that I think about it." Clayton added as his hands grazed upon the base of the famous statue.
"Even if we lose, we still did a phenomenal job, think about that." Olivia tried encouraging them as she looked above her.
Clayton (Finalist): "No matter how scary it looks… I'm gonna win this once and for all."
Olivia (Finalist): "I want to lift their spirits up, I know they're my friends and comrades and all but… I'm gonna win this once and for all."
Xavier (Finalist): "I have a feeling that I won't win, but either way, I'll try… I'm gonna win this once and for all."
Helpers in case anyone's confused:
Team Clayton (Red): Oli, Robert, Gabe, Kimmie, Amanda
Team Olivia (Yellow): Faith, Sal, Vivianne, Arreis, Samuel
Team Xavier (Blue): Mairead, Evander, Spear, Meredith, May
At the top…
Meanwhile, the former contestants were getting ready. The red group was all the way on the left. The yellow was in the midde, while the blue group was in the right.
Oli, Sal, and Evander were tying up some knots tightly on the edge of the other side of the crown. The cables flew inside from the windows of the crown and reach all the way to the other side past the monitor for support.
"Tight enough?" Oli asked.
Evander shook his head. "Even tighter. We don't know if this thing's safe." He sighed in frustration. "We don't need any more serious injuries."
…
Team Yellow (Olivia)
Sal yanked all the ropes he tied, ensuring that they were all tight. "Hey, yellow team! How stuff?"
"Pretty sturdy but…" Arreis answered but gulped. "I don't think all these ropes will be able to pull them up."
Faith clenched her fists together. "We have to do this, team yellow. We have to pull this as hard as we can… excluding Vivianne."
Vivianne frowned. "Well is it my fault that I'm injured like this?"
Samuel approached and rubbed her back. "Nah, it ain't."
…
Team Red (Clayton)
"I am highkey worried about this…" Kimmie commented, staring at Gabe and Robert as they made sure that the ropes were steady.
"Same." Amanda sighed. "I can only expect the worse to happen… something worse than the fire, that's for sure."
Oli came back, rushing to Gabe and Robert. "Sturdy?"
"Yeah, we should be pretty good to go." Gabe nodded.
"You sure?" Robert asked. "Everyone here is legit freaking out and here you are saying that we should be pretty good to go." Robert added, questioning Gabe's thinking.
"...Um, 50-50?" Gabe rephrased his thinking.
…
Team Blue (Xavier)
Meredith and May were both seated on the bench, but they both had their hands on the rope, pulling it to make sure it was tough enough.
"How's the rope?" Spear asked before tugging it as well.
"I don't know…" May sighed as she grabbed her crutches and stood up. "I don't think this is safe."
"To be fair, the other groups are worried too." Meredith pointed out.
Mairead approached them with a concerned expression. "...Why is this even the last challenge anyway?"
Evander ran up to them. "If we're pulling, I'll be in the front so it wouldn't be so hard for us to pull up."
Spear nodded at his suggestion. "Well… you are the strongest one, so… deal."
Back at the base of the Statue of Liberty...
Olivia, Xavier, and Clayton all positioned themselves at the base, getting ready for climbing.
Chris got out a pair of binoculars from his bag and looked into them, staring above. "They should be ready by now…"
His eyes widened as soon as he could see a thumbs-up from the crown top, signalling that the former contestants were ready. This caused him to turn to the cast.
"What is it?" Candela asked him.
"I saw Sal's hand from above doing a thumbs-up." He answered. "So they're ready."
"Oh god…" Xavier sighed.
"Think of this as the first challenge… the one in Windpipe Scarp." Olivia told him.
Clayton widened his eyes in realization. "You're right, this seems like the first challenge. Just tougher of course."
"Alright, finalists!" Don yelled, marching up to the three with a whistle on his hand. "As soon as you hear the whistle, the race will begin! Are you ready?"
The screen splits in three, showing each of the three finalists all looking determined to win the entire thing.
Suddenly, the sound of a loud whistle was heard in the air. The three immediately took the cue and began climbing up the base as fast at they could.
Team Xavier (Blue): Mairead, Evander, Spear, Meredith, May
"HOLY SHIT, THEY'RE CLIMBING." Mairead frantically shouted, trying to grip tightly on the rope, but her hands were shaking as she was doing so.
"Whatever you do, do not let go." Evander instructed as the ropes began moving along with the three climbing finalists.
"Can you see how high are they up from the ground?" Meredith asked.
"I bet you all that they're barely above a meter." May rolled her eyes.
"Guys, focus on not letting go of the rope!" Spear commanded them. "Yes, we have a support in the back, but what it cuts and Xavier gets spiralled all the way down? That will not be good."
At this rate, the three finalists have reached ten meters. Olivia was already seen struggling a bit as she was lagging a bit behind from both Clayton and Xavier. Xavier was actively climbing to the top while Clayton was taking it the slow and steady way, trying to not look down.
"This is a lot more difficult as it seems." Olivia panted, blinking her eyes multiple times. Nighttime was upon them and it was hard to see with only a few sources of light, coming from the base and on the top.
"Don't look down. Don't look down." Clayton kept murmuring to himself, focusing more on the movement his whole body is making to help him in climbing up. He occassionally checked on his pocket every now and then and sighs in relief, knowing that his coin is still there.
"C'mon, Xavier. You can do this. Uncle Randy is counting on you." Xavier mutters to himself as he kept on climbing. He seems to be slowing down for a bit, but his pace is still pretty quick compared to the other two.
The three have now reached a bit past one-fourth of the statue. The more higher they get, the more difficult it looks due to the uneveness of the structure.
Clayton's hand noticeably slipped a bit. He panicked as his foot also flailed away from the statue.
"No!" He shouted as he fell a few feet down.
Team Clayton (Red): Oli, Robert, Gabe, Kimmie, Amanda
The ropes from the red team were tugging forward.
"Uh oh!" Oli panicked as the rope quickly moved forward.
"COME ON! TIGHTER!" Amanda shouted, pulling the ropes backward with all of her might.
Kimmie was also began to panic. "What if we let go!?"
"JUST DON'T!" Gabe answered via shouting from behind as was the one on the back of the group.
Robert could also feel himself losing grip of the ropes, so he swerved one of the ropes to the right. Surprisingly, they heard a slight bump from the bottom as the ropes stopped moving forward.
"Phew. Problem solved." He panted.
Clayton breathed a sigh of relief as he now had his grip on the statue. He looked up again, and secretly thanked his group for helping him not fall into his doom, and continued to climb up.
Around almost an hour of tired climbing later, they have finally reached the halfway mark of the statue, heading towards its waist.
Olivia was still taking things a bit slow as she was still a few feet lower than the boys. She grunted on every move she made, feeling herself get tired.
"...I am not doing this again." She sighed to herself as she climbed up another meter higher.
A few minutes later, she felt something about to fall off from her pocket.
It was her coin.
The only ticket to winning it all.
Olivia gasped as the coin slipped off from her pocket, causing her to jerk herself foward in shock, losing her grip of the statue. She caught the coin in time, but before she knew it, she was already falling a few meters down.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" she screamed as she fell.
Team Olivia (Yellow): Faith, Sal, Vivianne, Arreis, Samuel
The ropes were tugged from the yellow team this time, and they were tugged foward in a much stronger way than how the ropes did during the case earlier with the red group.
Faith, who was in the front, felt it first as she had no time to react, the rope dragged her as well and off the window.
"GUYS! HELP!" Faith shouted as she was now clinging on the ropes for dear life.
"PULL HARDER! I'LL GET FAITH!" Sal commanded as he ran to the front, reaching his arms out of the window to grab Faith from falling. "FAITH! GRAB MY HAND!"
Arreis felt the ropes going forward even harder than before now, signalling that Olivia was still falling. She skidded her feet as Samuel pulled even harder from behind.
Vivianne quickly moved her wheelchair closer to them and helped them pull the ropes up, grunting as she did so.
Meanwhile, Sal managed to get Faith back up with them, and the two joined in pulling Olivia's ropes back up to prevent her from falling down even further.
"HARDER, GUYS!" Sal shouted.
Olivia was seen flailing about until she finally grabbed tightly onto the statue. She scraped her foot on the statue to keep her from falling. She panted but breathed a sigh of relief as she was this close to being done for, but the thing is, she is now in a very long distance away from the other two and they might not have any idea of what happened to her.
Olivia (Finalist): She wiped the sweat off of her forehead. "That was a close call…"
On the other hand, we move on to the contestant who seems to be on the lead: Xavier. The blue team from above doesn't seemed to be in a difficult state, as Xavier was doing good so far and hasn't nearly fell onto their doom just like what happened to Clayton and Olivia.
Right now, he is fairly closer to the top. He was now reaching three-fourths away from the crown as he was now approaching the statue's neck.
He gripped hard on the statue's neck, getting closer and closer to the top. He was on his way to win this whole thing, that's for sure.
But the question is… where is his coin?
Team Xavier (Blue): Mairead, Evander, Spear, Meredith, May
Mairead was still pulling on the ropes steadily. She thought Xavier was doing good so far as they haven't gone into panic mode unlike the other two groups.
"He will win this, I'm sure of it." May speaks up. "He's probably in the lead right now."
"You're right." Meredith squeaked.
"Yeah, and I'm really proud of him for that." Mairead smiled, which motivated her to keep pulling on the ropes.
Evander was in the front near the window as he stared down. He pulled the ropes with no problem and checks the window to see if Xavier was doing alright. He sighed in relief to see that his friend was still going.
"He's doing a good job so far." Evander observed.
"Agreed." Spear nodded in agreement.
Statue of Liberty - Base
Chris was looking up on his binoculars again. "They're just climbing up. Boooooring…" he whined.
"Listen, Clayton and Olivia nearly fell to their death. Did you even pay attention?" Candela sneered at him. "And you even had the nerve to call that boring!"
Don rolled his eyes in frustration. "Oh, you want to see action? I'll give you some." He smirked deviously and grabbed a controller from his back pocket. He pressed a button, and glazed his eyes upon the statue.
The camera panned to Clayton, who was a few feet away from Xavier. He was doing pretty good now, the more that he focused on climbing.
Suddenly, a small area next his hand opened up, revealing a small opening. The opening swerved and pushed him off, sending his ropes off to the side. His grip slipped and he fell down until he hit Olivia, who was a few meters below him.
"Aaaah!" Clayton shouted as he crashed into Olivia.
"Ouch!" She yelped as both of them now fell again, their ropes tangling against each other.
…
Little they know that Xavier already reached the top.
The blue team all cheered as Xavier ran to the monitor but…
He looked back to see both the red and the yellow team struggling.
He sighed as turned to the blue team. "Let's help them."
Chris was now cackling at the sight of Olivia and Clayton struggling to undo their ropes. Candela on the other hand, looked genuinely worried.
"Who did that!?" She yelled towards the other hosts. Chef plainly pointed at Don, who was still holding the controller. "Give that to me or else, you're not coming back for Act II."
Don frowned before giving Candela the controller he was holding. The hostess then pressed another button causing the opening from the statue to close. This however, did not resolve the problem as both Olivia and Clayton were still tangled up near the top.
Speaking of those two, Olivia was currently hanging upside-down, visibly looking nauseous just by looking at how far she is from the ground. Clayton was gripping onto his ropes for dear life, and his legs were tied along with Olivia's legs due to the tangled ropes.
"How are we gonna get out!?" Clayton shouted at the top of his lungs, desperately hoping for someone to hear him.
"Be quiet and think of something strategically worthy before the blood goes up my head!" Olivia shouted back at him.
Suddenly, they were being pulled up with great force. Clayton widened his eyes and gasped and the sudden movement from above, and Olivia managed to grip the statue with both of her hands, shimmying her way out of her tangled legs. She regulated her breathing as she was now right side up.
The two gave a long and intense stare before climbing up the remainder of the statue as fast as they can.
At the top, the former contestants, including Xavier, all panted from pulling both contestants up with great force. However, both the blue and the yellow teams kept with their tight grips on the ropes or else, the two would fall.
Xavier darted his eyes towards the monitor and a realization struck into his mind. He ran to the monitor and rummaged through his pocket.
"Dammit, where is it!?" He yelled in frustration before Mairead ran up to him.
"Where's what?" She asked in concern.
"My coin! It's missing!"
The blue team all glanced at each other in surprise.
"So… does this mean that you came all the way up here without the coin?" Spear widened his eyes.
Xavier turned around and slammed his hands in the monitor in full frustration. He was doing so well, so how could he lose the coin?
Chris was scratching his head in confusion.
"What is it?" Don asked him.
"I thought Xavier already made his way to the top." He answered. "So… why can't I hear the monitor? He probably inserted his coin in, right?"
Right as he said that, Dustin the intern approached him. "Sir, I found this just at the base of the statue."
He handed him a small object.
It was Xavier's coin.
Chris smirked at this revelation, and decided to tell his co-hosts.
"I have an announcement to make." Chris said, turning his attention to them. "Looks like Xavier's claiming third place." He said, holding up the coin.
Xavier sighed to himself in full disappointment, smacking his head repeatedly against the wall.
Xavier (3rd Placer): "HOW COULD I BE SO FUCKING STUPID!?" He shouted, gripping his hair in frustration.
Mairead saw this and pulled him for a hug. "It's okay. You still got third. It's not a bad score."
He nodded at her words. She was right. Third wasn't bad now, wasn't it?"
"You're right."
Suddenly, a bunch of noises were heard as they turned their attention to the windows, only to see both Olivia and Clayton had made it to the top and now, they were rushing to the monitor.
Olivia (Finalist): "I will win this, I'm sure of it."
Clayton (Finalist): "This victory will be mine."
The two ran as fast as they can towards the monitor and grabbed their coins out of their pockets, with the others cheering them on. They were now about to insert their coin.

"NO!" she shouted, but just as she said that, Clayton was able to insert his coin inside the monitor. The psychology expert then sighed in disappointment before inserting her own coin also.
All of a sudden, Chris magically appeared in a helicopter and leaped his way out of it, making his way to the others, specifically Xavier.
"Looking for this?" He showed him the coin. "It fell before you took the challenge."
Xavier grunted in frustration again, but calmed down and decided to accept it as Chris inserted his coin inside the monitor.
"But anyway," the raven-haired host smirked, holding up the suitcase. "Our champion for Total Drama Act I: Musical Impact is no other than… Clayton Lunar!" He announced, handing the suitcase to the now surprised emo, who gladly took it anyway.
"Dang… am I dreaming right now…?" He stared at the suitcase as Olivia came up and hugged him.
"Congrats! You did good, I can tell you that." She smirked, and at the same time, both Xavier and Clayton shared a bro hug.
"Didn't know you had it in you." He joked, causing the three to chuckle.
"Hey now, you two did awesome, I can give you that." Clayton complimented both of them as they share a chuckle, causing the former contestants to cheer and congratulate all three of them.
"Oh and…" Chris also grabbed two smaller suitcases from who knows where. "Candela didn't mention that both second and third places get a prize as well, right?" He added, before giving both Olivia and Xavier a smaller suitcase each.
"...what's in here?" Xavier asked.
"OH, BEFORE I FORGET!" Chris shouted and at the same time, the other three hosts and interns have arrived at the scene.
"What did we miss?" Chef asked.
"A lot." Louiza plainly answered.
"Anyway, thank you all so much for interrupting me." Chris sneered at the staff. "Winners, you have to wait until the reunion episode to open up your suitcases."
"Aw, poo." Clayton pouted, causing everyone to laugh. "When is it, though?"
"Tomorrow night. Back in Crown Island." Candela answered. "So… congrats everyone! And we prepared a special prize for all the contestants… actually I prepared it, hehehehe." She chuckled.
"Just say it already!" Maya snarked.
"FINE, SHUT UP! JEEZ!" Candela smacked her forehead, obviously being so done with Maya since Episode 1. I think. "Anyway, you all will find out your prizes on the reunion episode tomorrow."
"Seriously? You're killing the suspense?" Amanda crossed her arms.
"Yeah, why not." Candela smirked. "So anyway," she said, turning to face the camera. "This has been the cast of Total Drama, signing off! Congrats to everyone, and tune in next time for the special reunion episode of-"
"TOTAL DRAMA ACT I: MUSICAL IMPACT!" Everyone cheered.
"GROUP HUG!" Oli shouted out as all the cast joined in for a group hug.
The end.

"Yes! Thank you!" Olivia bowed gracefully, as she turned to the other two finalists.
"Congrats, Olivia!" Clayton smiled quickly accepting his defeat as he pulled the girl into a hug, followed by a high five from Xavier.
"That was some skill you got." Xavier joked, causing the three to chuckle.
"You two did outstanding. It was a fun finale anyway." Olivia complimented both of them as they share a chuckle, causing the former contestants to cheer and congratulate all three of them.
