Lucy Gray watched from a distance as Coriolanus took his try at fishing. It amused her how lost he seemed in the environment. How absolutely different he was out here. It was almost adorable, the way he batted the bugs from his neck and arms and tried his best to figure it out.

He was a long way from home, that was for sure. And Lucy Gray wondered if he would ever last living as she does.

"Hey! Pretty sure I got one!" Coriolanus shouted back at her. Lucy hitched herself up off the grass and swiftly headed towards him. He fought with the rod and eventually gained footing.

She saw the anticipation in his face, perhaps a glimmer of excitement? He was beginning to enjoy this.

As he felt the weight of the string begin to rise, his eyes grew wide.

But then anticipation turned into confusion, which turned into disappointment. Instead of a fish, Coriolanus was met with a huge glob of moss that covered an old tattered shoe.

Lucy Gray couldn't help but burst into laughter, gaining a stern look from Coriolanus.

"That's a nice one! Would look good on the table". She blurted out.

Coriolanus' exchanged his look with a smirk as he darted towards Lucy. Her expression made it clear she knew his intent.

Before she could escape his grasp, he wrapped his arms around her waist, raising her up in the air as she playfully fought back.

"Coryo, put me down right now! I just did my hair! Cor- AH!" He silenced her by tossing her across his shoulders, quickly making his way back to the lake.

"See if you can't find a nicer one!" He shouted, tossing her into the water.

When she emerged, her face was flushed with rage, and he could only run towards the cabin, escaping the fury that awaited him.

Coriolanus sat on the bed as Lucy, clearly annoyed, wrung out the water from her locks.

Her brows furrowed in frustration. She sat on the floor in front of him in protest.

"Hey, it was only fair." He let out, a sly smirk across his face.

Lucy shot her head around to look at him.

"I'd like to see you try to work with what I've got, sweetheart. Can't say much though with what you lack."

Coriolanus was taken aback by what her words possibly implied, but then he realized she was obviously referring to his shaven scalp.

"You know I look good like this. I'm starting to prefer it over the locks." He said, his cockiness quite evident.

She couldn't really disagree with that. She was definitely caught off guard with how different he looked at the Hob. But one of the days they went swimming, her stomach had done flips when she really took in his appearance. The shaven head was definitely winning the day for her, but she wouldn't allow him the satisfaction.

"Nothing for me to run my hands through." She pouted.

Coriolanus responded by joining her on the floor. His hands ran slowly down her arms, sending a shiver through her spine. He gently grabbed her hair, pulling her head back so she was looking up at him. She let out a quick gasp, which clearly pleased him.

"Come on. I'm just as irresistible." He said.

She hoped he didn't notice the rapid beating in her chest and the way her breath quickened. She opted to cover it with her words.

"You're insufferable. I outta leave you out here on your own." She said, looking into his sea of blue. The way his eyes pierced her made her feel something that she couldn't explain.

Coriolanus broke the chain by planting a deep kiss on her lips. It had never failed to send a jolt through her body every time his lips met hers. She hoped the feeling wouldn't end, but alas, he pulled away, leaving her silently pleading for more.

"How about we go back out? Let the sun dry your hair, hm?"

Lucy Gray nodded, the blush in her face slowly receding.
