It's been about two months since Charlie moved in with the Dalmatian residence and boy was life great, for everyone...Dylan has been relaxing a lot more since Dolly, and Charlie have been helping him with the chores, Dante hasn't been screaming about the end of the world as much which was good for everyone. Da-Vinci's paintings were getting more beautiful thanks to Charlie, who helped her with the inspiration, Dolly was having a blast with Charlie playing on his game console and being around her new Big Brother. Not to mention Charlie was able to start looking into getting a job, but Delilah and Doug told him that they made enough alone to feed and repair any damages, so Charlie mostly helped Dylan and Dolly with the pups. On this particular day, he was downstairs reading a game magazine when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." Dylan yelled, but Charlie stopped him.
"I'll get it." He said and got to the door first which he opened up to see a young man about 15 years old with a red jacket, black fingerless gloves, a white button up shirt with a black tie, he had on black pants, with black and white shoes, his hair was long but looked like it was cut shorter.
"Oh uh, h-hello sir." The kid say awkwardly.
"Uh hi, can I..." Before Charlie could finish asking, he was caught off by Dylan who slammed the door in the boy's face and was panicking, "Dylan! What the hell..." He angrily said but Dylan looked at him in fear.
"ARE YOU NUTS!?" Dylan questioned.
"Well, slamming a door in someone's face isn't very nice Dylan." Charlie answered.
"Do you know who that is out there?"
"Seems like a nice kid."
"That's Hunter..." Dylan stated while Charlie just stared at him.
"Who..?"
"HUNTERS BACK!?" Dolly asked scared, which Dylan nodded frantically.
"I'm so confused." Charlie said scratching his head.
"MR FUNNY FACE!!!" Dizzy and DeeDee yelled out as they ran outside and tackled the kid named Hunter and licked his face.
"Oh hehehe Ahhaha, hello you two I've missed you both." He said as he hugged them.
"Awww that's cute." Charlie said as he walked down and put a hand out to help up Hunter.
"Hey there Charlie Osbourne, you?" Charlie asked as he Hunter grabbed his hand and was helped up.
"Hunter, Hunter De Vile." He introduced himself saying his last name a bit quieter but Charlie picked it up.
"Huh, De Vile." Charlie commented on his name, resulting in Hunter's eyes widening with anticipation, "I think I heard that name before but I can't remember where." He stated which Hunter sighed with relief, "Anyway come on in." He said opening the door wider for Hunter as he headed into the house with Dylan and Dolly staring at him with very suspicious looks.
"Oh come on you two he's our guest." Charlie stated, "at least show a little sympathy."
"Sorry bro but can't after what he did to us, not happening." Dolly retorted.
"That goes double for me." Dylan said crossing his arms and turning around very angrily. This made Hunter upset which Charlie noticed.
"Dylan, Dolly that's no way to treat put guest."
"No there right." Charlie looked at him.
"What you mean?"
"I've done some horrible things to them before." Hunter said, looking down to the floor with an extremely guilty look, "I knew this was a stupid idea... I'll just leave." He turned around and was about to head out the door.
"WAIT NO MR. FUNNY FACE..."
"DON'T GO!!!" Dizzy and DeeDee grabbed onto his legs trying to slow him down.
"I-I'm sorry pups I can't stay..." He said as he struggled to walk to the door.
"Come on man don't listen to... wait you can understand them?" Charlie asked.
"Yes and no, I can understand them but not like how you understand them." Hunter explains, and Charlie looks at him with confusion, "You think I don't see that you can understand them?" He asked. All Charlie could do was shrug.
"Look don't listen to them if you have done something horrible to them you wouldn't be here yet here you are." Charlie explained which Hunter sniffed a bit feeling a little better.
"I-I mean you're not wrong."
"Exactly but uh, may I ask why you over here?" Charlie asked.
"W-well y-you see..."
"We invited him over Charlie."
"Yeah for a playdate." Dizzy and DeeDee jumped in.
"WAIT WHAT?!" Dylan and Dolly asked them in shock.
"When was this?" He asked them.
"When we were still on the boat."
"He dosen't have anyone else, can we please play with him... pleeeeeease." Dizzy and DeeDee did there signature cuteness which Charlie giggled.
"Its ok in my book."
"Are you kidding!?" Dylan questioned.
"Seriously Bro? You're letting 'Him' into our Home?"
"Look you two, whatever he did in the past is in the past, and besides you guys don't want to hurt Dizzy and DeeDee upset now would you?" Dizzy and DeeDee went up to Dylan pressing there faces against his making very cute puppy eyes.
"Pleeeeeeeeease." They both said which Dylan sighed in defeat.
"Alright fine, he can stay but he's not leaving my sight."
"ARG Dylan Are You Serious Whatever you have fun I'll just be upstairs." Dolly said very angrily as she went upstairs. Poor Hunter now he feels upset forcing the two Dalmatian teenagers to accept him.
"Come on Mr. Funny Face."
"Yeah let's play." Dizzy and DeeDee said jumping up and down excitedly, something happened to Hunter as his entire body changed right in front of Charlie now he was on all fours, panting like a dog with his tounge sticking out and was barking. Dizzy and DeeDee were so excited they ran to the backyard with there new best friend right behind them.
"That was... weird." Charlie said which Dylan sighed.
"I'll go watch the pups." He said as he walked away from Charlie who was looking at the staircase.
"You do that..." He said but looked down to see that everyone left him by himself, "Guess I'll go see Dolly." He added with a sigh and started to head upstate. Upon reaching the upper floor, he heard the other pups talking about Hunter.
"Hunters back."
"Not that guy doesn't he give up?"
"Should we hide?"
"Remember Hunters a geek." These were some of the things that the pups were saying the worst was with Triple D.
"Ugh that flea bag human is back."
"Really? Why doesn't he like go away."
"Last time he messed up my glamorous fur it took me almost a whole month just to get it shiny again."
"We have Charlie he'll protect from that filthy dog-napper. " That made Charlie stop dead in his tracks. Dog-napper? That guy? He doesn't seem like a dog-napper but why are these pups so afraid of him and calling him a flea bag? As Charlie entered a room he noticed Dolly was lying on a window sill facing out into the backyard bickering under her breath.
"Why does he have to be here? Why doesn't he leave us alone?" She said loud enough for Charlie to hear.
"Dolly?" This got her attention as she looks at Charlie with a very angry face but she kept her cool.
"Oh hey." Dolly greetes him, trying to hide her anger but wasn't very good at it.
"I uh, wanted to check up on you." Charlie explained but she knew what he wanted.
"Surre you did." She looked at him.
"Ok look, you got me... I want to know why." This made Dolly sarcastically laugh.
"Oh ho you dont wanna know." She said looking back down into the backyard seeing Dizzy and DeeDee running around with Hunter who was trying to catch them, which to be honest was kinda cute.
"He acts nice at first then when you least expect it... he strikes."
"The pups were calling him a dog-napper." Charlie retorted which Dolly looked at him, "Is it true?"
"Yes." This was a shocker, this nice kid stealing dogs?
"Why?"
"To impress his Aunt... The Devil Woman."
"The Devil Woman?"
"Cruella De Vile." She answers very coldly and harshly, "Hunter tried to dog-nap us and almost got away with it..." She stated as her memory played out, Hunter had shorter hair and with a crazed look in his eyes as he was sucking up her brothers and sisters. But worst of all Dorothy and herself were sucked up as well, "I'll never forget that day if it wasn't for a trigger word we all would have been locked up and sent off to Switzerland." She explains with tears in her eyes, "Six months had passed since Hunter was locked up in that container but he came back again and again and again." Charlie just stared at her in disbelie, this guy did this to them? And never was apprehended.
"Dolly I dont think he here to steal..."
"Bullshit." Dolly cursed which surprised Charlie, "Sorry bro, but you don't know him like I do."
"Hey now listen." Charlie stated angrily, "Remember I am from the Marines, I've dealt and seen some shit in my time." He reminded Dolly who rolled her eyes at him, not understanding what this has to do with Hunter, "Look at him down there, does that look like he wants to steal you all..?" They both looked down to see Hunter digging a hole with Diesel, "I sure as hell don't see him trying it looks more like he wanted to spend time with people who actually care about him."
"Surre." Dolly annoyingly said which made Charlie very angry at her but instead of raising hus voice at her he simply just sighed.
"Alright then be like that..." Charlie looked at the clock and noticed it was almost dinner time for all of them, Delilah and Doug were coming home a little later since today was a busy day. "I'll get dinner ready." He told Dolly who rolled her eyes in annoyance. As Charlie was heading downstairs he could hear that the pup's bickering had stopped and instead was replaced by laughter, and sounds like they're having fun.
"Hey, Charlie... come look." A voice called his name it was Destiny along with Dallas and Deja-Vu.
"What's up girls?"
"Look at Hunter..." Destiny laughed. Hunter was playing Tug of War with the Dimitris... Well more like between the combined strength of the Dimitris they were just getting pulled around, other puppies tried to help the Dimitris only to be pulled alonged as well by Hunter, this made Charlie laughed.
"He's definitely having fun." Charlie stated and looked over to the girls who were watching, "So whens your next project?" The girls looked at him.
"Our next project is in a couple weeks."
"But were having trouble."
"Like major trouble." Thriple D stated in there usual way.
"What is the trouble?"
"Well you see..."
"Our next project..."
"Takes place in a jungle."
"Ok?" Charlie questioned, letting them continue.
"Well we need someone to play as a strong soldier." Destiny stated.
"Yeah and our guy who usually does this stuff is going in vaycay." Dallas explains sadly.
"And we don't know anymore else who could replace him." Deja-Vu sadly said lowering her ears.
"Well... why don't I do it?" Charlei suggested which made the girls look at him with confusion.
"I don't know."
"Uhhhhh..."
"Girls let's huddle." Dallas said which the three girls huddled up to discuss his proposal.
"I don't think so." Destiny said quietly.
"Look this is the best chance we got we needed someone or else we would be history." Dallas explain.
"Plus he looks perfect just look at him." Deja-Vu stated as the three looked over to him.
"Alright then let's tell him." They broke up from the huddle and faced Charlie, "Alright Charlie you're in." Dallas said this made Charlie light up he was really happy that he got to see what the Pop Dogs do."You will be perfect for our heroic soldier." Deja-Vu said with a smile.
"Marine..." Charlie corrected them.
"What?"
"I'd preferred to be called a Marine, forgot to tell y'all us Marines don't like being called 'soldiers' it leaves a bad taste in our mouths." he explains, getting the trio to look at one another.
"W-well...
"Sure you can be..."
"MY!.." Deja-Vu shouted out, receiving a confused look from everyone, "Er... 'our' Marine." She corrected herself.
"You won't regret it." Charlie announced saluting to them and ran back downstairs.
"That's what I'm afraid of." Destiny said under her breath. As Charlie reached the kitchen he noticed Hunter was back but was hus normal self drinking water.
"Hey man are you alright?" He asked Hunter.
"Oh yeah that, don't worry it will ware off soon... I hope." Hunter said.
"Well I'm gonna make dinner for the pups care to help out?" Charlie asked, which Hunter smiled.
"Oh absolutely."
"Alright put this on." Charlie explained as he gave Hunter the harness for the nozzle.
"O-ok what do I do?" He asked as he stood there nervously.
"Just stand still and aim at the bowls that I'm firing to the table." Charlie explained as he walked over to the accordion, "You ready?" Hunter nodded nervously as Charlie pushed one of the keys to start it up, then ran back to the bowl launcher and was ready. Couple of minutes the machine made a humming sound that the food was getting ready to launch, Charlie pulled the handle down, sending a bowl flying in front of Hunter who was aiming and hitting the bowl with food... except there was food... Charlie noticed and thought it was Hunter who was scared to miss, so he fired another one this one was the same result no food came out, "What happened?" He asked Hunter.
"I-I don't know... nothings coming out." A noise was heard from behind them and they both looked at the accordion which was shaking like crazy and hissing like crazy.
"Uh-oh." Charlie said...
BACK UPSTAIRS
Dolly was coming downstairs thinking to herself, maybe Charlie's right maybe Hunter had changed but all in all Hunter is still a De Vile. She came into the kitchen to see if they needed any help...
BOOM
The machine exploded... kibble flying everywhere, along with two humans who were thrown along with Dolly who just turned the corner. Dylan came flying downstairs only to fall into the indoor pool of kibble, along with other puppies which they thought was a dream.
"What happened?!" Dylan asked frantically, which Charlie, Dolly, and Hunter all popped out of the pool.
"It's Hunters! He Did This." Dolly answered furiously.
"W-what?"
"Woah Dolly hold up. It wasn't Hunter's fault that the Machine Exploded."
"Yes he did, he tampered with It when no one was looking!" Dolly yelled causing some of the pups to look.
"That's not true at all, you saw him playing with the pups." Charlie said angrily at Dolly.
"I told you he acts all innocent at first and then Wham! He's got you in his clutches." Dolly furiously said then looked at Hinter who was crying, "All he Ever Done was Hurt Us!! HE NEEDS TO GO!" She yelled, this finally broke Hunter, resulting in him getting up and running.
"Hunter Wait!" Charlie yelled but it was too late, he already closed the door behind him. Quiet was all it was in the house, Charlie with a very angry look on his face looked back at Dolly who seemed to be very proud of what she's done.
"Dolly..?" Dizzy spoke up, "Why did you drive him away?"
"Yeah why did you do that?" Deedee asked which Dolly just rolled her eyes.
"Cause all he did was hurt us in the past." Dolly explained but Dizzy and DeeDee shook there heads.
"He's our friend." Dizzy said with an angry face.
"Yeah he's our friend." DeeDee stood next to her sister.
"You two don't get it..."
"No You Don't Get It!!" Dizzy yelled back at Dolly which surprised everyone including Dolly, "Hunter doesn't have a family, he was trapped for six months in that container and she never called him once." Dizzy explain. Everyone else was nodding there heads they remember him saying that.
"She's right." Delgado spoke up, "He said that she was all the family he got left."
"Its true Dolly." Deepak joined.
"All he wanted was a family that loved him." Da-Vinci said while Dolly saw her siblings look at her with sadness some even anger, Hunter never wanted to hurt them, he only did it to impress his Aunt, whom they remember she threw him in the container with them. With all the looks she getting, she realized that maybe what she did was a mistake, it wasn't his fault at all."What have I done?" Dolly asked herself. "Looks like Dolly gone too far this time." Charlie added crossing his arms in disappointment. Dolly looked down to see that Dizzy and DeeDee were nowhere to be seen."Where's Dizzy and DeeDee?" She asked only to hear the doggy door swing.
"I think I know what they're doing." Charlie stated.
WITH DIZZY AND DEEDEE
The two pups frantically searched for there friend.
"Oh, Dizzy it's hopeless, we'll never find him." DeeDee said to her sister who looked on in determination.
"We can't give up... look theres Percy." Percy is a dark grey horse with a police offer texting on his phone basically Percy is a cop, she was on patrol for the day.
"PERCY PERCY!!!" both the pups screamed, getting her attention.
"Oi what's all the ruckus you two making, wheres your family?" Percy asked the two pups.
"No time we need your help."
"It's Hunter he ran away crying from our house."
"Say no more, hop on, we'll cover more ground." Dizzy and DeeDee nodded and jumped on to Percy and off they went looking for Hunter. Charlie, Dolly, Da-Vinci, and Dylan were looking for Hunter as well.
"Hunter?!"
"Hunter where are you?!"
'Ugh were never gonna find him he could be anywhere." Dylan complained.
"We can't give up Dylan, if we dont find him he could hurt himself and what's worse I'll never forgive myself." Dolly explains with sheer sadness.
"Well... he's has to be somewhere." Charlie said.
"Dolly we can check his apartment." Dylan pointed out.
"Oh yeah why didn't I think of that."
"Ok, then you two make your way to wherever his house is, me and Da-Vinci will go to the park and see if he's there." This made Da-Vinci blush a little but not enough for anyone to notice as they needed to find Hunter and fast.
BACK WITH DIZZY AND DEEDEE
They'd searched everywhere that they can think of but haven't had any luck with looking for Hunter.
"It's hopeless we'll never find him." DeeDee said about to cry, and Dizzy was at the same result.
"Our best friend gone all thanks to Dolly." She said angrily. Percy came to a halt which got the pups attentions.
"I think I see him." She squinted her eyes to see a young boy in a read coat standing over a bridge.
"That's Hunter!! Quick Percy get to him." Dizzy said which made Percy gallop as fast as she could. As they hurried, Hunter was standing near the bridge with a heartbroken look.
"No one loves me." He sniffed and looked up into the sky, "Why do I have to be a De-vil." He climbed onto the railing and looked down, "No one wants me."
"MR. FUNNY FACE!!!!" a desperate voice called out for Hunter, he recognized those barks from anywhere it was Dizzy and DeeDee on top of Percy.
"Don't Do This Mr. Funny Face!" Dizzy shouted.
"We Love you for who you are!" Deedee added as they got off of Percy and headed to Hunter.
"B-but everyone hates me." He said with tears in his eyes, "How can someone like me be loved?"
"Dolly didn't understand, we know you changed, you saved us from that Devil Woman." Dizzy explained, as she jumped up onto the railing and walking up to Hunter.
"We love you very much Hunter." Deedee added this made Hunters heart jump, these two puppies would do anything for him, he smiled at them and wiped the snot off his face with his coat shirt.
"Y-you... you really mean it?"
"Well between you and me Hunter." Percy chimed in, "These pups they would risk life and limb for having you around them." She explained which made Hunter smile.
"Ok... your right." He said with determination which causes Dizzy to jump up and down.
"YOUR STAYING, YOUR STAYING, YOUR... woah Woah WOAH!!!!" Dizzy slipped off the railing.
"DIZZY!!!!" DeeDee screamed and looked over, "She Can't Swim!!!" As Hunter watched her fall, something clicked into his mind, he knew this was life threatening but he needed to make it up. Quickly, He threw off his jacket and jumped after Dizzy who landed in the water barely holding her head up. With a splash, Hunter was in the water looking for his friend only to find her about to give up and begin sinking but Hunter dove after her and grabbed her before she could go any further. Carrying Dizzy in his arms he reached the nearest shallow area where stairs led up to the bridge and sprinted up them. Once he reached the top and put Dizzy on the floor and checked If she had a pulse, only to find none...
Not wanting to give up, Hunter placed hi hands carefully on her side and pushed down hard but softly, counting as he pushed on her body hoping to revive her.
"Come on Dizzy, come on!" Hunter Desperately cried out as he gave her CPR, after a few heart pulling minutes of nothingness, coughing was heard beneath him as Dizzy began to kick and squirm.
"Dizzy!!!!" DeeDee ran to her sister and nuzzled her head, "Oh My Dog I'd thought I lost you." She cried and continued nuzzling her twin who began to nuzzle back.
"You're safe now Dizzy." Hunter said with a warm smile when he heard clapping from behind them. They quickly looked to see Charlie clapping and smiling, along with Da-Vinci who had tears of joy in her eyes.
"Great job Hunter, we saw the whole thing." He said.
"R-really?"
"Yep and you are a hero." Charlie stated with a large smile while walking up and crouching down, Da-Vinci ran up and nuzzled Dizzy.
"I'm so glad you two are okay." She said.
"I'm okay Da-Vinci." Dizzy smiled and coughed up more water.
"I'm very glad that Hunter was here otherwise I would've lost my sister." DeeDee stated.
"I wouldn't bare to go though that." Da-Vinci said as she smiled warmly.
"Dizzy and DeeDee!" Another voice was heard this time there were two of them, it was Dylan, and Dolly they ran up and saw that Dizzy was laying on the ground.
"Dizzy are you alright?" Dolly asked.
"Hunter saved me from drowning." Dizzy explained with a smile, Dolly looked up to Hunter who had a very worried look on his face.
"I do believe Dolly you have something to say to Hunter." Charlie stated which Dolly nodded.
"Hunter... I'm... I'm very sorry about earlier, I guess I was stuck in the past. I just thought you would hurt us again... but now I regret what I said, and you saving Dizzy from drowning is huge compared to you before... so I'm sorry, I was wrong about I hope you can forgive me." She said, though Hunter couldn't understand what she actually said, he crouched down and hugged Dolly who at first was shocked but returned the hug smiling.
"Thank You... thank you all for giving me a chance." Hunter stated which everyone smiled.
"Well it's almost bed time for them why don't you stay the night?" Charlie suggested but Hunter shook his head.
"Thanks but no thanks." He said, which caused Dizzy and DeeDee to look down in sadness.
"You sure? I mean Dizzy and DeeDee would seem very happy if you did." Charlie stated, getting Hunter to look down at the pups who were at his feet giving him the puppies eyes.
"Oh I can't say no to you two." Hunter smiled which cause Dizzy and DeeDee to jump up an down hugging his legs.
"I think there to say thank you Hunter..." Charlie stated as he watched.
"Shall we head home?" Hunter asked.
"Lets." Charlie said as they all headed back to the house. Upon returning to the house they were all greeted with a usual group hug especially Hunter who couldn't be more happier in his entire life.
LITTLE LATER
Charlie was in his room reading a magazine when he heard scratches coming from the door. Charlie got up and open the door to see Da-Vinci sitting there.
"Oh hey Da-Vinci." Charlie said.
"Hello Charlie." Da-Vinci said with a blush.
"Is everything alright?"
"Yes everything is perfect the pups are all sleeping, Hunter, Dizzy and DeeDee are sleeping peacefully together." This made Charlie chuckled it was so cute for the three to sleep together.
"Your not asleep." Charlie got down to her level, "Is something wrong?"
"I-its just... W-well it... it g-gets pretty loney d-down in the b-basement... so... I... w-was thinking I c-could... s-s-sleep with... y-y-you?" Da-Vinci asked with a complete stutter, but Charlie smiled at her adorableness.
"Absolutely Da-Vinci. My bed is your bed." This made Da-Vinci very happy as she ran to the bed and jumped up in it and cuddled up.
"Oh Da-Vinci your completely adorable." Charlie said which made Da-Vinci blush hard.
"W-why thank you Charlie." She smiled as Charlie tucked himself in and held her close.
"Goodnight Da-Vinci." He said as he kissed her on the forehead and went to sleep, to which she giggled a small bit.
"Goodnight my Marine." She smiled as she fell fast asleep in Charlie's arms.
