Chapter 8

"I think it's best we go now before it get's too late."

"I'm glad we got to do this. Spend quality time together as a family." Brooke proclaimed.

Bailey was in the backseat of the car asleep.

"It's going to be a quiet Christmas. Which is what's best for us right now." Brooke added in.

"We get it. "You're father and I are leaving town tommorow and will return in the new year." Victoria replied.

Brooke made her way out of home. Got into her car and started to drive. She had a better time with her parents then she expected.

They had changed from what she recalled years ago.

When she eventually made it home.

She parked the car then got out. It was only then did she notice a second car parked. Almost awaiting her.

As footsteps grew closer and in the moonlight. A familiar face showed itself.

Causing Brooke's heart to sink.

"Felix." Brooke said softly.

"I've missed you more then you know." Felix said.

Lucas eventually left his mother's home. And went back to he was staying. Put away the leftovers.

And found himself with a copy of Brooke's business card. With her cellphone number on it.
