Undeath9087: You will see in time. In front of all of the Olympians actually heheheh.
Krypton Writes: You're still gonna hate me after this chapter.
Wisestriker: Triton has spent nearly ten years watching his father mourn for this girl. Finding out she's alive? Yeah that's a lot. Also, Percy just has a quality that makes most people like her.
NuzhatT: Zeus is just gonna be there in shock while she gives epic speeches.

Percy was expecting the others to be waiting for her when she returned to the surface. But as she walked out of the water, looking around, she found that she couldn't see them. Which was odd. They had no reason to run off and hide on her.

She bit her lip, looking around carefully as she moved from water to sand. The sky was clearer now at least- she was sure that would make a few headlines. And probably some conspiracy theories too. Honestly there were probably a lot of those caused by Magicians and Demigods. She shoved her hands into her pockets, fingers curling around the pen nestled in her right one. The sun had moved in the sky- not much but enough that Percy figured it had probably been an hour or so since she'd gone into the water. Time was ticking on. They needed to find a car and get going sooner rather than later or they'd be in some serious trouble.

Which made the fact that Percy couldn't seem to spot them most annoying. And worrying. They must have retreated out of sight for a reason. Maybe monsters? Percy's eyes scanned the area- there were more people out than there had been. Mostly they seemed to be marvelling at the rapid change in the weather, she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary- ahah! Her gaze focused on a- her brows furrowed. At first glance he looked kind of a like a man but she was sure that was the power of the Duat, of the mist, concealing him from normal view.

At first glance he seemed like a man- a tall imposing man but human nevertheless, wearing a black trench coat over the top of some sort of military uniform, she could see close cut gray hair, but from this distance she couldn't really make out more details than that.

But under the coat she could see a scorpion tail swishing around. A sure sign that he wasn't a normal human.
Percy grimaced. Well that explained why the others had ducked out of sight, clearly they were avoiding this dude… this dude and his- oh for fuck sake.

Percy groaned to herself.

His skeleton warriors. For fuck sake. There had to be at least two dozen of them scattered around, not attacking yet, clearly searching.

Percy focused, she'd had so many lessons on Greek Mythology over the years she had to know something about the Skeleton Warriors. Wasn't there something about them being nearly invincible? Being able to put themselves back together when fought? Oh that would not be good. Percy hated it when monsters were that hard to kill. But… but if anyone could kill a skeleton monster it would be a daughter of Hades.

Of course there were now two problems. One, Percy didn't actually know where the others were, and two, even if she did it would be crazy to expect Bianca to take down that many skeleton warriors. Especially not since several of them appeared to be carrying guns. Which seriously what the fuck? In what world was that fair. Why did the skeleton monsters get the guns?

That narrowed their possible options down significantly. If fighting was too risky that meant that they had to run. They'd need to find a getaway vehicle as quickly as they could.

Percy forced herself to stay relaxed, to act as casual as she could, walking across the sand towards where she'd left the others. She was sure they'd be watching, keeping an eye out for her, or something at least. They would probably try and send her some sort of sign- and yes, yes ahah. She was right. It was a tiny skeletal mouse, scrambling across the sand towards her.
Percy forced herself not to react outwardly. Clearly the monsters hadn't sensed her yet thanks to her amulets, and with blue and green hair they wouldn't recognise her on sight but still. If they were actually to look at her properly then it could be a serious problem.

She kept her gaze flitting around as she started to follow the skeletal mouse away from the sea. And it appeared to be leading her towards the Aquarium- which was a white building Percy saw. It was closed, she could tell that by the darkness in the windows, but the door- it was very slightly ajar.

Percy kept walking casually, humming to herself as she made her way towards the building. She was doing great. Everything was going-

A hand landed on her shoulder and it took every ounce of self-restraint Percy had not to grab the hand and judo flip them over her shoulder and stop on their throat.

She turned her head quickly, forcing a bright fake smile as her gaze met mismatched brown and blue eyes. "Uh, hi?"

"I believe the aquarium is closed young lady-" his accent was thick. French, Percy had heart that accent enough times that it shot a dagger through her heart to hear it again from a monster, "Are you looking for someone?"

"I was just checking the opening times." Percy giggled, brushing the monsters hand off her shoulder. Could he smell her? If she was lucky he wouldn't be able to and he'd move on assuming she was just a normal mortal. Though chances were he could smell the others- and there was that tail, swaying behind him. She hated scorpions. Had done since she'd seen what the pit scorpion had done to Annabeth. But she forced her reactions to seem light. "I have some friends coming in from out of town next weekend and I think it'd be totally awesome to visit the aquarium. My mom's always telling me we should be doing more educational stuff and all." Could she see movement behind the window, people trying to stay out of sight whilst watching at the same time. Gods this was stressful.

She was going to bill Olympus for her masseuses bill because she was sure she was going to need a nice long session working out all of the tension that their bullshit caused her when this was over and done.

"How impressive young lady. So few of your generation understand the importance of education."

"What can I say, my mom raised me well-" Percy's eyes flicked to the tail- which was curling as if preparing to strike.

And that was her mistake. Because a normal mortal wouldn't see the tail, wouldn't react at all.

And sure her reaction was pretty subtle but still, it was there.

A look of victory flashed across the monsters case.

"Not well enough it seems, Miss Kane."

And Percy dropped in an instant as a spike from his tail suddenly shot towards her, missing her by inches as she drew Riptide and uncapped it in a smooth motion, slicing at the monsters legs, even as he leapt backwards, and out of the corner of her eyes Percy could see the skeletal warriors converging in on them. Shit shit shit fuck they were so screwed.

Then Thalia was barrelling out of the door, speak out as she charged at the Manticore, electricity cackling along it's length.

And it was a manticore. Percy was pretty sure of that.

"Are you okay?" Grover's voice was panicked, but Percy was already straightening up, moving to join Thalia as she called back.

"Fine, he didn't touch me." She saw an arrow shoot through the air, hitting one of the skeletal monsters- more more accurately going through his ribcage.

"Bianca-"

"On it!" Bianca was charging out, daggers in hand as she sliced at the nearest skeleton warrior, slashing across it's neck, severing the bone- and the monster burst into a gout of black flames before crumbling into dust.

Bianca blinked once before grinning, "Cool."

Percy nodded to herself as Zoe and Grover flocked to Bianca's side to help the daughter of Hades deal with the skeleton warriors.

Thankfully none of the ones with guns had arrived yet but it was only a matter of time so Percy rushed to join Thalia, who was fighting the Manticore ducking and slashing at the monster, spear gouging a chunk out of his shoulder and making him bellow in a mixture of rage and pain.

Percy watched as a spike shot out of his tail, soaring towards Thalia. And she watched it hit the daughter of Zeus' shoulder before Percy could even cry out.

She heard Bianca's terrified yell, and Zoe and Grover's shocked cries as Thalia staggered backwards- but Percy could see better than they could, could see that the spike hadn't breached her new leather jacket.

"Holy shit that's cool." Thalia gasped the words.

"What?!" The Manticores voice was furious, "What is this."

"Uncle Hades really pulled through." Thalia's grin was manic and Percy was by her side in an instant, the two girls working together, Percy slicing and stabbing at the Manticore as Thalia gave him sharp shocks that crackled across him, the monster unable to fend them both off at once.

It was as they were both about to attack in unison to deliver a finishing blow that they heard the sound. A loud sharp crack that sent a chill through Percy's very bones.

A gunshot. The skeletons with guns. The skeleton warriors with guns had arrived.

And there was a stunned scream a second later.

Percy and Thalia both turned, both crying out at the sight of Bianca crumpling into Zoe's arms.

The daughter of Hades had taken out at least seven of the skeleton warriors with the help of Grover and Zoe- and they must have decided they needed to take her out because she was the only one who could actually permanently take them out of action.

So one of them had shot her- Percy could see the blood seeping from her side and she and Thalia were both moving at once, momentarily forgetting the Manticore.

And Percy realised that her hand was in Thalia's as they sprinted towards Bianca, Grover and Zoe, and neither of them even had to speak. They both knew what they were doing as they, in unison focused on summoning up a storm, on summoning up powerful winds, which exploded outwards, away from them, the skeletons and Manticore sent flying backwards, head over heels as they reached Bianca and Percy scooped her up with practiced ease.

"We have to get out of here!" They had to get somewhere safe to deal with Bianca's wound. It was the only thing they could do.

"There is a place!" Zoe gasped the words, and within seconds the group was following the huntress, speeding away from the beach, ignoring the shocked looks they got as they raced past people coming to see what the noise had been, people stumbling back to get out of their way, panic clouding their expressions at the sight of a group of teens, one of them clearly bleeding heavily.

Thankfully Zoe's safe place wasn't too far away, a smaller building that looked almost like it had been abandoned, but Zoe let them in quickly, revealing a reasonably well kept home, if a little dusty and Percy rushed Bianca into the living area, setting her down on the couch.

The daughter of Hades was pale, whimpering in pain, a hand pressed against her side. Percy's were shaking as she pulled her friends hand away- she could see the bullet, not too deep but still, deep enough.

"H-hurts." Bianca's voice cracked and Percy forced herself not to start to cry. "Percy it hurts it hurts-"

"I know Bia. I know just breathe for me okay? Thalia. I need some Ambrosia from your bag and then I need you and Grover to hold Bianca still. Zoe get me clean water and a cloth." Percy felt sick. She felt sick but she had to do this- and when Thalia and Grover were on either side of Bianca's head, each pressing down a shoulder, terrified, questioning looks on their faces Percy focused, focusing on her powers. The bullet was soaked in blood, slick with it and she used that. She used the blood on the bullet to grip it, to slowly, so so slowly pull it out, the screams of pain, the feeling of Bianca jerking would undoubtedly cause nightmares later but she forced herself to ignore it. Forced herself to ignore Thalia and Grovers horrified noises. And as the bullet came out blood gushed from the wound and Percy clamped her hand down over it, feeling the warm liquid against her hand as she applied pressure and focused, focused her powers on keeping the blood where it was.

"Ambrosia!" She screamed the word, "Ambrosia now!"
