The sergeant on the scene watched Captain Mitchell with his cell phone with the number NCIS on his screen. He has used the number a few times during the last few months.

He had pulled up the Washington, D.C. main number instead of calling the New York region and commanding officer.

WASHINGTON, D.C. NCIS

Captain Mitchell had waited for the connection to go through to the director. He's been talking to him about his daughter now working in Florida as an NCIS special agent after five years of training and on the job.

Director Leon Vance working on his last film for the late evening. He was exhausted and needed a break after such a long day.

Looking down at his messages. He will pick up one that was very important to him with his old friend Leroy Jethro Gibbs coming back to Washington, D.C. after another one of his friends Doctor Donald Mallard died a week ago.

Finally, his estate had been settled with the money having been used for the funeral a few days ago. The director smiled slightly when all of a sudden his phone for line three was ringing. His secretary Maryann had gone home for the evening.

He took a deep breath with his tired lungs. He will press the button to answer the call. "Hello, this is the director Washington, D.C. sector.

"Leon, it's Captain Mitchell of the Coney Island police department. I am calling to let you know that a Naval officer has been found murdered in our jurisdiction." he will say to him over the phone.

Thrilled that his old friend called him even though it was a late hour.

"Sam, how are you this evening?" he asked calmly.

"I am fine for the most part Leon. However, I am calling to have your NCIS personnel come to Coney Island. It looks like someone is out there killing Naval personnel. My crime scene unit will be saving all pieces of evidence for your team, Leon. I do hope they will be able to find the bastard?" he with a slight tear flowing down his right eye.

Exhaling briefly...

"Don't you worry Sam, they will be able to find the killer. I will put all of my best people on the job," he advised with a stern look on his face.

"Excellent! By the way, the body has been taken to the Coney Island coroner's office," he tells him with the information.

He turned his neck slightly with a slight creek in his neck. "Believe me, Sam they are the best." he hangs up the phone to get to work by calling his team.
