Sunrise Sunset
Chapter 29
Previously, Hermione had another vision of her past. Alice and Luna have the same thoughts pushed into their heads.
Luna touched down in the outskirts of Forks, it was a beautiful area. A forest filled with the tallest green pines that anyone had the pleasure to see. She looked around slowly taking in the sights. With a pleased sigh, she followed the directions and found the town to be quite small. She just realized that she might be looked at rather oddly for how she arrived in town.
Soon, Luna was standing in front of Hermione's house, she knocked on the door. While Luna waited for someone to come to the door she took the chance to look around and get a feel for the neighborhood. She turned to knock again when there stood the very person she had come to see, "I'm Luna" she said suddenly.
"Hello!" Hermione said as she opened the door, the girl was carrying a bag with her and another box under her arm. "Please come in,"
"I brought a few things with me that you might find interesting," Luna said as she said the box in her arm down on the couch.
"Would you like to bring your belongings to my room, that's where you'll be sleeping, I hope you don't mind sharing a room with me." Hermione asked.
"Not at all," Luna said cheerfully as she followed Hermione up the stairs to her bedroom. The box that Luna was carrying started to jostle around, Luna put the box down on the bed, "I hope you do not mind that I brought my cat with me. he does not do well home alone."
"That's no problem," Hermione said with a bright smile, "I love cats." Then before Hermione had the time to udder a word, out of the box jumped an orange cat. "Well, hello," Hermione said taking a seat on the bed. The cat had a squashed face, it looked like he had run into the glass door too many times chasing a bird or something.
As she pets the cat, he began to purr very loudly, and decided to make her lap his home until she needed to get up again. "It, would seem I'm pinned."
"Yes, Indeed, it does seem he likes you" Luna said with a laugh. If only Hermione knew that it was her cat, she would kick herself for forgetting him.
"Would you like a chance to take a nap or a shower?" Hermione asked Luna as she continued to pet Luna's cat. As she thought that, she felt said, that this cat was Luna's and not hers. She shrugged it off and decided that she would enjoy the moment.
Luna smile, "I do not need either," she said with a smile, "I am hungry though, how about we go and get something to eat?"
"Sure," Hermione said with a bright smile, "I have some friends I want to introduce you to."
When Luna smiled in agreement, Hermione picked up her cell phone and called her cousin and then her uncle. Her uncle was still at work and could not meet them for lunch but would be home for dinner. Hermione reminded him that Billy had invited them over for dinner that evening. Bella was free and agreed to meet her at the diner for a bite to eat.
When Bella arrived at the diner, accompanied by Alice and Rosalie. When they sat down at the booth that Hermione had picked, "You don't have to pretend to eat on my account," Luna said it was in her normally airy voice, her smile reached her eyes.
"How much do you know?" Alice asked cocking her head to the side in a friendly gesture.
Luna shrugged her shoulder, before turning the menu over to look at the back. The day progressed with Luna making little comments about people's behaviors, things that you would only know if you knew them personally.
That afternoon, Hermione took Luna to the enchanted meadow, where she introduced Luna to her boyfriend Jacob. "Are there more of you?" she asked, her eyes widened with curiosity.
"I'm one of a kind," he said with a laugh as he put his arms around Hermione and kissed her on the cheek. "Missed you," he said to Hermione, "missed you too." She replied.
"Hermione is happy," she spoke in her head. She would show this memory to Harry and Ginny later.
"This is Luna," Hermione said with a giggle.
"It's nice to meet you," Jacob said as he reached out to shaker her hand. Her eyebrows raised slightly; she knew what he was. He was a shifter, a guardian, and Hermione was his goddess. She silently sighed, she would share this memory with the Ginny and Hannah when she returned to England. Soon after they went to Jacob's house, to hangout and Luna could meet Charlie Hermione's uncle.
"You do know that the Cullen's are Vampires, right?" Luna asked Bella while they were sitting outside on the back porch, while Hermione and Jacob made dinner.
"Yes," Bella said with a little laugh.
"You are mates, aren't you?" Luna asked in a gentle manner. "Your love is strong, and his trust in you has gained in power over time. the future will not be easy, but together two will come together as one and love will rule all."
"Was there a question in there?" Bella asked with a giggle, "Yes, we are mates. He fought his baser urges and tried to run away, and then we were amazing, and then I got hurt and he blamed himself."
"Hmm," Luna said with a hum, "I understand completely. Do you know everything about Hermione? about her abilities?"
"Yes," Bella said tugging her knees up to her chest. She took a breath, "Charlie and I both know about her. then suddenly she forgot it, and everything that has happened surrounding magic."
"She is on the way to remembering," Luna said confidently.
"Do you know about The Volturi?" Bella asked quietly.
"I know that we have a truce with the magical vampires and unless one of them attacks us or tries to turn us against our will we are to leave them be." Luna said.
"Then, would the Volturi know about Hermione?" Bella asked curiously.
"They might," Luna said, "I know that Harry, Hermione, and Ron were on the most wanted list across most of Europe, for over a year. I would be more surprised if they did not know who she was. Why do you ask?"
"We went Volturi, Edward was going to kill himself, he thought that I was dead. I was able to stop him, but Aro seemed to recognize Hermione, even apologized for causing her pain. Told her that her mind was blocked, and he could not get through but that she would eventually remember."
"I imagine that once Hermione gets her memory back, she will want to go and see him." Luna told her trying to not to let her thoughts show on her face.
Shortly after Bella and Luna were called to eat dinner, Luna was surprised at how much of a homemaker Hermione seemed to have become. "So how is the book business?" Luna asked.
"There are not many requests for books, but once I graduate, I can open different hours to help with studying and a quiet place to hide and read. That is the only reason Bella hangs around so much."
Jacob laughed and turned to Bella and said "Burn."
"Oh, be quiet, you old man." Bella recanted sticking her tongue out.
…
When they got back to Hermione's house, Luna decided she needed to get some more information. It was time to dig and find out exactly what was going on.
…
Edward joined Bella as per usual, and they talked less than usual. Physical touches ignited passions she knew was dangerous to pursue. Perhaps it was the bond begging to be closed. On several occasions, he had to leave before they got to carried away. He would go and hunt something, Emmet and Jasper would meet him as Alice would see his decision.
Hermione woke up to a gently knock, Bella asking if she could sleep with her. Crooks was curled up in Hermione's mid-section, purring loudly. Bella squeezed in behind her on the bed, tucking herself in with her own blanket. She was a blanket hog and did not like to share.
…
The next day Hermione shower Luna the Book Store. Luna was surprised to see how much it resembled the Black library at Grimmauld place. She liked it so much she was beaming from ear to ear. She was remembering, or perhaps someone tried to suppress it. But who would want to suppress Hermione's memories?
Luna made a mental note that she would have to share some of these details with everyone when she returned home. for now, she planned to keep these little secrets to herself. "This place is beautiful Hermione; this place feels like home."
"It really does, doesn't it?" Hermione replied, "would you like a cup of tea?"
"Please," Luna said happily.
A/NL: so, this is where I am going to leave it for now. This whole chapter felt forced, the plot did not want to cooperate with me. I also have great news; I have recently had a children picture book published. Its about a preschool class that has a hard time transitioning from one activity to another, she teaches them its ok to say goodbye to an activity and go to the next. If you are interested pm me, I will share you the name of the book. I did not use my fanfiction pen name this time.
