Chapter 27: Feeling Pinkie Keen
The next morning was the first day for Scootaloo's new life as the little sister of the Prince of Light and Darkness, waking up in the room she and Apple Bloom share as the rooster crowed, annoyed that the rooster would crow so early and turned around in bed, using the pillow to drown out the sound it makes to go back to sleep. But a second later, Apple Bloom climbed up the makeshift steps for them to easily walk up, being quiet as she had with her a pan and spoon, banging them together and startling the pegasus filly.
"Morning Scootaloo!" Apple Bloom said. "Time to get up. We got school today."
"Do you mind?" She asked, lying back down and turning over. "It's way too early to be getting up."
"Oh come on Scootaloo." Apple Bloom said, yanking the covers off her. "We get up at six in the mornin' every mornin'."
"Yeah, but there are those who want to sleep in." Scootaloo replied. "Just a few more minutes."
A moment later, Spyro walked in to see what was keeping the fillies and saw his newly adopted little sister still in bed, smiling that she was trying to go back to sleep. Apple Bloom saw him and he motioned for her to move away, climbing back down as he climbed up pulling out a few feathers from her saddle bags and using them to tickle her, making her laugh and wake up a bit more.
"Spyro, stop!" Scootaloo said, still laughing. "I'm up! I'm up!"
"Then why aren't you getting up?" He asked, putting the feathers back into the bag. "Come on Scoots, breakfast will be ready in a minute. Then you and AB can go to school."
As he climbed down, his new sister crawled to the stairs and walked down the steps, yawning as she walked down and following her new brother and Apple Bloom to the kitchen, where there were some Apple based breakfast items that, to her, smelled great. As everyone sat at the table and ate their breakfast while everyone was talking, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom were talking about some of the fun they were going to have while Applejack was talking with Big Mac about the upcoming sales days while Granny Smith fell asleep but woke up when everyone started laughing in unison. As breakfast was being wrapped up, the two fillies went back upstairs to get their saddle bags and their school supplies while he and Applejack prepared their lunches, making some sandwiches with a couple of apples and some Apple Juice. When they fillies came back down, they gave them their lunch and wished them a good day at school as the two of them walked down the road and to the schoolhouse for the day.
As they left, Spyro and the Apple siblings got to work on collecting more apples for the upcoming sales and for the gala that was fast approaching this coming fall. As he was carrying some apples into the barn, Spyro noticed that they were running out of room in the barn as there were a lot of buckets full of apples in there, rows upon rows of buckets full of apples. He put the buckets he had with the rest and came out, noticing Applejack was coming towards the barn with more buckets.
"Ya know AJ, we keep this up, there won't be anymore room in this thing for us to even move around." Spyro said. "We might need to hold off on getting anymore for a little while."
"That ain't an option sugarcube." Applejack replied, walking past him. "Sales week is coming up and it's the busiest time for us to sell these apples as ponies across Equestria will come and get some apples. And we need the money for fixing up this barn and for your new sister."
"Fair enough." Spyro replied, walking with her, but wrapping his wing around her. "Doesn't mean we can't have a break for a day or so."
He then blew in her ear, which seemed to make her shutter a bit as the ears are some of the most sensitive parts of the horse and thought that might get her to stop for a little bit. But when he did that, the farm mare blushed and looked over, giving him a bit of a leer while begging for him to do that again, but got back to work as Big Mac was walking in with more apples. After a while, they stoped for the day as they had the apples they needed and walked back to the house when he noticed a door close to the barn, but it was built into the ground.
"Hey AJ, what's this?" Spyro asked.
"Oh, that's our new Apple Cellar." She replied. "It's just some extra space where we can store our apples."
"Well, we'll definitely need it." Spyro said. "I'm heading into town, need anything?"
"Nah, I'm good." Applejack replied. "Ya'll take care."
"You too AJ." He replied.
He then left the farm and went into town to get a few things for Scootaloo, looking around the local stores to find some things she might like, but noticed something peculiar in the corner of his eye, looking over to see Pinkie was moving from under trees and porches to even under a rock, how she squeezed herself under there, he will never know. He watched as the mare was trying to avoid something, even wearing an umbrella hat like it was raining outside and looking up, as if expecting something to fall from the sky, looking panicked as she looked. He was going to approach her and ask what she was doing when he noticed Twilight and Spike on the nearby hill walking towards the pink mare, equally as confused as he was, so he walked over as well, but kept an eye on the sky as he wasn't going to ignore the strange behavior.
"Pinkie Pie, what in the wide world of Equestria are you doing?" Twilight asked.
"That's what I want to know." Spyro said, walking up. "You seem a little... spooked."
"Oh hey guys." She replied. "It's my tail, it's a twitching. And you know what that means?"
Both of confused ponies looked at each other, hoping the other would have an idea what she was talking about, but they both were stumped, not knowing what she was talking about.
"Um, no, we don't know." Twilight said. "Care to enlighten us?"
"When my tail is twitching, it means my Pinkie Sense is telling me that stuff is going to fall from the sky!" She responded, huddling into a ball. "You two should find some place safe to hide under."
The two ponies looked at each other and then to the sky, chuckling at the random mare at her antics. Spyro was about to say there was no reason to be scared as he couldn't sense anything dangerous until a frog came out of no where and landed right on Twilights nose, the mare disturbed by the sudden falling frog.
"Where did you come from?" Spyro asked, looking up.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Twilight." Fluttershy said, her bags, basket, and a cart full of frogs. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm ok." She replied, the frog moving from her nose onto her head. "What are you doing with all those frogs?"
"Oh, the ponds were overpopulated." Fluttershy responded. "The frogs were hopping into each other, so I am moving as many of them as possible to Froggy Bottom Bog."
Spyro helped get the frog off Twilight and flew up, putting the frog back into the cart as she took off towards the bog, leaving everyone at the hill. As they watched her leave, Pinkie walked away, singing as she trotted off, leaving Spyro with Twilight and Spike.
"Well, that was something." Twilight said. "Come on Spike, we better go find another place to practice without any further commotion."
"I'll come along with ya." Spyro said, walking beside the lavender unicorn. "So, what were you and Spike doing there anyway?"
"Twilight was practicing a new spell when we noticed Pinkie." Spike replied. "I just can't believe that Pinkie actually predicted something would fall from the sky."
"Oh come on Spike, it was a coincidence." Twilight said. "The frog just happened to fall from the sky just as she said it would."
"Kind of reminds me of Spider Man and his spider senses." Spyro commented.
"A man that's an actual spider!?" Twilight said, shivering as she imagined it. "Your world has some strange beings."
"Oh, he's not real Twilight." Spyro responded. "He's just from movies and tv shows."
"Movies ands tv?" Twilight asked. "What are those?"
Before he could go in depth about what those were on his world, Pinkie ran up, her tail was twitching again and was shouting twitchy twitch, raising her flank, which he had to look away again.
"What's with you girls and raising your flanks like that?" He asked. "All it takes is one stallion to get the wrong idea and you're screwed."
"My tail is twitching again!" She shouted. "Something else is going to fall!"
"Oh Pinkie, please." Twilight responded, walking away. "That's ridiculous. Nothing else is gonna fall-AAAAAH!"
Twilight screamed as she fell into a ditch, Spike somehow landing on the ridge of the ditch, unscathed and unharmed. Spyro leapt down and helped her up, getting her out of the ridge just as Pinkie threw her hat away and trotted off again singing. As he helped her up, Applejack walked up, seeing the two of them and walked up.
"Hey Spyro, Twilight." She said. "What are ya doing?"
"Helping Twilight out of the ditch she fell in." Spyro answered.
"Pinkie predicted she would fall and it came true!" Spike exclaimed.
"Spike, two coincidences are uncommon, that is true." Twilight said. "But one can't just make predictions with twitching tails."
"Pinkie Sense!" Applejack gasped, running for the nearby cart and hiding underneath.
"AJ, it's already over." Spyro said, helping her up. "And you believe in it too?"
"Those of us who been here in Ponyville a while learned that if Pinkie's a twitchin', ya better listen." Applejack replied.
Just as she said it, Pinkie came running up, her ears were flopping as she closed her eyes to avoid being hit in the eye.
"My ears are flopping!" She shouted. "My ears are flopping!"
"What does that mean?" Spike asked, flinching and covering herself.
"I'll start a bath for you." Pinkie replied, looking at Twilight.
Spyro was confused for a moment and looked to Twilight and then noticed a puddle of mud and sensing something was coming, he walked away from the mare just as another pony pulling a cart of hay ran by, coating Twilight in mud. She was clearly annoyed as she growled at the situation, following Pinkie to get a bath while he and Applejack left town, Spyro finding a couple of things for Scootaloo.
"So, how does her Pinkie sense work?" Spyro asked.
"No pony knows." She replied. "But whenever she starts twitching, ya'll benefit from listening and paying attention. Kind works a bit like yer Force abilities Ah think. They give her a heads up when something is about to happen."
"Well it's something." He said. "Still, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. My Force abilities I can understand, but her having these twitches, how do you know which one is which?"
"We just watched and made mental notes about them." She replied. "Each twitch has a unique meaning. She even has combos that warn everypony about what is going to happen."
He wanted to know more, but decided to drop it as he carried the items he got for Scootaloo up to her room, which was a new helmet as her old one was cracking and some pads to help protect her joints from being hit if she fell. As he was coming out, he saw Twilight run up to the farm house, coming into the front room and towards Spyro.
"Spyro, mind if I borrow you for a while?" She asked. "I need your help understanding Pinkie's little senses."
"Twilight, from what AJ said, the best thing to do is make mental notes on her twitches and remember them for the future." Spyro replied. "Trying to understand them, you might end up getting hurt. I mean, you fell down a ditch and got covered in mud."
"Yes, but it makes no sense!" She exclaimed. "I mean, when I was having a bath, she told me her knee pinches when something scary is about to happen."
"So?" He asked.
"So there was an alligator in the bath with me!" She replied, shocking him.
"Oh, that's just Gummy." Applejack replied. "Ah was just as surprised as ya'll was. But the little feller is harmless as he doesn't have any teeth."
"Still, I need your help to understand her senses." Twilight said. "I might need your Force abilities to warn me if something is about to happen."
Before he could say a thing, Twilight pulled him out of the house and towards town, running along the way as she used her aura to carry him. They then arrived at the Golden Oak Library where Twilight set him down, which he was thankful for as he was not liking being foal napped by a mare who needed his help. He followed the mare to a door, which seemed to lead down stairs and once there, he found Pinkie was hooked up to some kind of contraption, her hooves restrained on some kind of mechanism with a hat with blinking lights on it, which was hooked up to another machine that seems to measure some kind of wave pattern.
"And what is this?" Spyro asked.a
"This device will provide scientific information about her twitches when they come on." She replied. "I hope to get something that makes any kind of sense she has. You're here to make sure that nothing happens and to use your Force Sense to sniff it out."
He tried to understand what she wanted to do, but decided to go with it and sat down, watching as she plugged her friend into the machine and information started to roll in, the mare waiting for Pinkie to twitch. While he waited for something to happen, he decided to meditate while he waited, letting everything go as he closed his eyes, but when he did, he saw May again, still unconscious and in the hospital after he and his friends put her there last night, but it then shifted to a scene that involved a body of water, a ship made of earth and plants going through the ocean and a screaming girl, screaming out to someone, but before he could make it out, he was pulled out of his vision, his heart racing as Twilight unplugged the machine.
"Just forget it!" Twilight exclaimed. "I don't need to know if this is real or not, I don't need to understand it, I don't even care anymore!" She then looked over to Spyro, seeing the sweat coming off him and went over. "Spyro, you ok? You're not coming down with something are you?"
"No, no Twilight, nothing like that." He replied. "Just a vision, that's all."
"A vision!?" She asked, excitedly. "What was it!?"
"It was about May." He replied. "She was in the hospital, then it shifted to an ocean with a strange ship. After that, it ended."
The unicorn wanted to learn more, but Pinkie Pie's stomach started to growl, which his did the same, letting them know that they were both hungry, so they went up the stairs, but as soon as they approached the door, Pinkie had one of her twitches, Ear Flop, Fluttering Eyes, and Leg Twitch. He didn't understand at first, but sensed something on the other side of the door was coming in, so he moved quickly and grabbed Twilight around the barrel, making her yelp as he spun around, only to get hit in the flank by the door Spike was opening and the two of them tumbled down the stairs. After a minute, the two of them managed to regain their senses, only for Twilight's eyes to widen as she saw they were kissing each other. Twilight immediately got up and started to have a panic attack, breathing heavily as she couldn't believe what they had done.
"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry Spyro!" She exclaimed. "I didn't mean to! The door... the tumbling... you grabbing me... I..."
"It's ok Twilight." Spyro responded, getting up and walking over to the panicking mare. "Worst things can happen than being kissed by accident."
"But... But I never kissed a stallion." She said, her heart still racing. "This... This was... I mean..."
Before she could panic any further, he wrapped his wing around her, her trying to pull away, but ended up leaning into him, the two hugging as Spike came down. When he did, he just backed away from them and went back up stairs, letting them have some alone time while smirking.
"Better?" He asked.
"Yeah." She replied, the two of them separating. "I'm sorry about that."
"Don't be." He replied. "After all, you asked me to keep you safe from anything that might happen. So, I'm just doing what I was asked."
"But, it still doesn't make sense." She said. "I have to figure out how her Pinkie Sense works."
An hour later, she, Spyro, and Spike were following Pinkie into the park where she was sniffing some of the flowers and was enjoying her day as the three of them hid in a bush. While Twilight was jotting down notes as she observed the pink mare, but Spyro however was mulling over the vision he saw, trying to make sense of why he was shown a ship and why he was shown May in the hospital.
"So, why are we spying on Pinkie again?" Spike asked.
"We aren't spying on her." Twilight replied. "We are doing scientific research on Pinkie Pie to understand her Pinkie sense."
"Twilight, the best thing to do is to not even try." Spyro said. "Just like trying to understand the Force, the more you try, the less you'll succeed."
"But there is something fishy about the whole twitchy prediction thing and I'm getting to the bottom of it." Twilight said.
Just as she said it, Pinkie started hopping away, heading to the school house and the trio followed her, staying in the bush as they walked behind her.once there, Twilight used her binoculars to see what Pinkie was doing, leaving Spyro and Spike to take down the notes. He then looked up to see what she was doing, only to see she was scratching her nose, probably an allergy is what he thought, but a moment later, Pinkie sought cover, surprising them.
"Ah ha!" Twilight exclaimed. "That makes no sense! A twitchy tail means something is going to fall from the sky, not an itchy nose. So, these sense are bogus."
"Maybe." Spyro replied. "But maybe there is more to-" He then paused, looked in the direction Pinkie was at and then above her, noticing a cloud of insects, sensing how angry they were, he knew what they were. "BEES!"
He and Spike ran for cover while Twilight looked to see what he was talking about, only to be stung by a whole swarm of the angry insects. After they left, Spyro walked over and helped the mare up, noting how much pain she was in as he picked her up and ran her to the hospital too get treated for all the bee stings. When they reached the hospital, the doctors started giving Twilight some shots to help with the bee stings, making sure she wasn't allergic to them while he looked to one of the nearby rooms and saw May, unconscious and unresponsive as the doctors worked to bring her to. As he was about to go in and warn the doctors, Twilight came back out, looking very angry at him and got into Spyro's face.
"You!" She exclaimed. "Why didn't you push me out of the way of those bees!? Why did you run!?"
"I'm sorry." He replied. "I hate bees. When I was stung by one as a kid, been afraid to even look at one since then."
Annoyed by her friend running away, she pushed past him and left the hospital, leaving Spyro in the lobby as she stormed out. He then looked back to the room May was in and saw the doctor come out, jotting down a few things before seeing Spyro, bowing to him.
"Your highness." He said.
"Please rise, you don't need to do that." Spyro replied. "When did you bring her in?"
"Just last night." He replied. "We heard there was a battle in the town and she must have been caught in the middle of it."
"Not exactly." Spyro replied. "She's the one who initiated it and tried to kill me."
The doctor looked back into the room and then to Spyro, surprised that she tried to kill him, but went over to the front desk and talked to the receptionist, telling her what he just learned. A moment later, the doctor came back to him and cleared his throat.
"We will have security posted outside her door." The doctor said. "She won't be going anywhere."
Nodding his head, he went after Twilight, knowing she wasn't going to stop until she had her scientific proof she wanted. He managed to catch up with her at Sweet Apple Acres, watching Pinkie as she was sniffing more flowers while she hid behind some Hay bales. As he approached, she looked over and looked back through the binoculars, ignoring him as he approached them. He wanted to apologize for abandoning her, but knew it was going to take a lot of convincing and apologizing to do so, but decided to just watch Pinkie like she was.
"What's she doing now?" Spike asked.
"Sniffing flowers." Twilight replied.
"What does that mean?" Spike asked.
"It probably means the flowers smell good." Twilight replied. "And that they won't run away at the first sighting of a bee." Spyro recoiled by what she said, wanting to tell her why he ran away, but didn't get the chance as Pinkie had herself another twitch. "Wait, I got something. Ear flapping, Eyes fluttering, knees twitching."
"Wait, didn't she do that combo when Spike opened the door?" Spyro asked.
"Yeah, she did." Twilight replied. "It means watch out for opening doors." As soon as she said it, Spike ran away from the barn door to get away, surprising Twilight. "Wow, you're really buying into this aren't you? Here, let me show you nothing is going to happen." She then walked over to the door, leaning on the door and smiling that nothing happened. "See? I promise you, there is nothing to fear from that-"
She didn't finish as the apple cellar door opened in front of her, but Spyro was on top of it this time as he leapt over and when she started to tumble, he shielded her with his body, taking the impact as they fell down into the Cellar.
"Spyro, Twilight!" Applejack said. "Ya'll came to visit my new apple cellar. How thoughtful."
Spyro managed to get up no problem, his chaos energy healing his body as he got up, but Twilight wasn't as lucky as her forelegs were twitching and were heavily bruised, likely broken. After taking her back to the hospital, he pushed her to where he saw Pinkie at the park and pushed her to behind the benches, her chair equipped with some kind of contraption that allowed for Spike to pull a lever and lift her forelegs so she can look out the binoculars she had strapped on her plastered forelegs.
"Twilight, maybe we should stop before anything else happens." Spyro suggested.
"No, I'm going to get the information I need and will do so by any means necessary!" She exclaimed. "Wait, jot this down. Twitchy tail."
"Wait, that's the one that warns you of stuff falling from the sky!" Spike said, running away as he hit the lever, making Twilight hit her forelegs on the bench, clearly hurting.
Spyro knew he needed to keep an eye out for anything and felt through the Force for anything that would fall and felt something above them coming rapidly down. He looked up and saw several items falling towards Twilight, so he pushed her chair out of the way and first caught a potted plant, placing it down as he caught an anvil, followed by a cart of hay, and a grand piano, placing each item down carefully and looked up to see movers who were transporting the stuff that fell as a grey pegasus with crossed eyes smiled nervously, trying to not panic. He looked to where he pushed Twilight and saw she was rolling to a lake, screaming as she rolled, so he deactivated his bracers and zipped over, pulling her out of the chair as it crashed into the water. She turned to look at Spyro, feeling his strong, yet gentle grip as he held her around her barrel, mixed feelings surging through her as she was still mad at him for abandoning her, but grateful that he was around. He eventually set her down in the park bench they were at and looked her over for any injuries she might have sustained.
"You ok Twi?" He asked. "No other injuries? Nothing sprained? Is anything broken?"
"Spyro relax, I'm ok." She said, blushing as she found his protectiveness sweet. "Thanks for saving me."
"Well, I felt awful about abandoning you when those bees came." He said, looking down. "It's the least I could do."
"Oh Spyro." She said, reaching over to hug him, but her forelegs still hurt. "I wish I could hug you, but-"
Before she could finish, he reached over and took her hooves, her blush coming back as she felt her heart race, but a moment later, she saw a familiar green glow coming from his forelegs and travel into hers, feeling the pain disappear slowly as the green glow came through the bandages, surprised at what he was doing. When the glow subsided, she used her magic and removed the bandages, finding that her legs were good as new, jumped to hum and hugged him, her anger towards him disappearing as she felt gratitude and joy.
"Oh, thank you." She exclaimed happily. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"It's not a problem." He replied. "I would have done it sooner, but-"
"Oh who cares about that." She said. "Come on, let's keep going."
As she ran off, he smiled at her as she was persistent to learning, but also frowned, looking down at his forelegs as they glowed green again, watching as bruises and swelling disappeared. Not dwelling on it, he ran after her, following her a little ways until he saw her with Pinkie Pie and Applejack, who had a bucket full of apples, but could sense how angry she was.
"Hey girls, what's going on?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing much." Twilight replied. "Except Pinkie knew we were following her!"
"Wait really?" He asked. "Then why didn't she say anything?"
"Silly, it would have spoiled the surprise!" Pinkie answered, Twilight's anger reaching its boiling point.
Not wanting her to loose her mind, Spyro wrapped his wing around her barrel, still feeling how angry she was and did the same thing he did to Applejack, blew into her ear, which seemed to make her shutter and calm down as she blushed, looking up to the stallion, both annoyed, but happy he did that.
"Better?" He asked.
"Y-yeah." She responded. "B-but, please don't do that again."
"Why?" He asked. "Your ears sensitive?"
"Ya'll know they're sensitive mister." Applejack replied. "Ya'll did the same thing to me."
"Only to get you to stop for a second." He replied, smirking. "Besides, you know you liked it."
"No Ah didn't." She replied, her face as red as an apple from their farm.
Everyone started to laugh at the embarrassed farm mare, taking in how she tried to hide her blush. But a moment later, Spyro froze as he felt something pull him from his body and all the way to Froggy Bottom Bog, finding Fluttershy helping the frogs as she said she was, but saw a massive shadow behind her, which she turned around and screamed, being pulled back into his body and breathing heavily. As he looked to his friends, Pinkie's entire body started to twitch, which was a new one for them.
"What does that one mean?" Spike asked, hiding behind Twilight and Spyro.
"I don't know." She replied. "That one is new to me! And it's a doozy! Something we weren't;t going to expect is going to happen! And it's going to happen at-"
"Froggy Bottom Bog." Spyro said, finishing her sentence.
"Exactly!" Pinkie said. "But how did you know that?"
"I had a vision." He replied. "It happened a little bit ago. Fluttershy's in danger!"
As he said that, everyone ran to the bog, hoping they weren't too late as they ran to the bog. When they entered a dark forest, Spyro took off into the air, hoping to find her in the air before whatever was going to attack her would. He used his nose to sniff out the bog, smelling the noxious gases coming from it as he flew, which made him sick every time he smelled it as it smelled like old Limburger cheese left in a overripe sock in a boys gym locker, which he also knew meant the gas's where highly flammable, so using fire attacks was a bad idea. As he looked, he saw Fluttershy on a rock, helping some of the frogs into the water as the rest of his friends arrived, glad to see everyone was safe, but a moment later, he saw movement in the woods just behind them, seeing a massive neck move across the background.
Not caring what it was, he flew in closer to get a better look only to see that Applejack and Pinkie were backing away from Twilight as four heads with long necks rose up form the bog water, revealing that it was a Hydra, making his blood freeze as Twilight was talking, but not paying attention. When she did turn around, everyone started to run away, Pinkie still standing there, frozen to the ground as it lunged at her. Its attack only failed when Spyro got in front of its head and sucker punched it, sending it backwards as the other three recoiled, starring at their assailant.
"And I thought three heads was a pain." He said. "You remind me of the Hydra back in the Olympus Coliseum. And just as dumb too."
The Hydra, not liking that comment, lunged at him to eat him whole, but he just dodged and punched the head down into the mud, knocked it for a daze as he flew around it, twisting two more of the heads up as they lunged at him every time, tying them into a knot. The last head helped the other two get it of the knot they were in as the last one got out of it's dazed state, giving him time to look back and see the girls running. When they had enough of a head start, he flew after them, keeping the hydra busy as he flew around to draw its attacks away from the mares, being as annoying as he could with insults and terrible jokes, which seemed to be very effective in driving the Hydra nuts as it kept attacking and missing.
"What's wrong there Pea brains?" He asked. "Need some glasses to see where I'm going?"
The Hydra was getting fed up with him as they took mouthfuls of mud and spat it at him, trying to knock him out of the air, but he just used his wings to blow the mud back at the Hydra, covering its head as it dried up. He smirked at the Hydra cleaned its head off, but heard Spike yell for help, looking into the mud to see him trying to keep his head above the surface as he was sinking in the mud. Spyro broke off his attack on the hydra and flew down to the mud, pulling him out of the mud and over to Twilight, everyone running to get away from the massive monster. But a moment later, the girls stopped at the edge of a cliff, looking down to see all the jagged rocks down below.
"Now what?" Twilight asked.
"Jump across the stone pillars." Spyro replied. "I'll keep him busy."
Without waiting, he took off again and started blasting the Hydra with his ice breath, hitting its feet to slow it down and pin it, further annoying the massive creature as it screeched in frustration. Every now and then, Spyro would look behind himself to check if the girls were across, thankful that Twilight was jumping across as she was the last one across, but ended up being nailed by one of the heads while he was distracted, being sent through the stone pillars. He managed to get his senses back and flew back to the girls, landing in front of them as they cheered.
"Spyro, you're ok." Twilight said, hugging him. "I thought that Hydra got you."
"Nah, takes more than a lizard sharing a single brain cell to best me." He replied, cracking his neck, which made everyone flinch. "But man, Pinkie was right, that was one heck of a doozy."
"Oh, that wasn't the doozy." Pinkie replied, still shuttering and horrifying the two of them.
"WHAT!?" Twilight and Spyro shouted in unison.
"The Hydra wasn't the doozy!?" Twilight asked, about ready to crack. "How could it not be the DOOZY!? What could be more of a Doozy than it!?"
"I don't know." Pinkie replied. "Whatever it is, that wasn't it."
That was when Twilight had finally snapped, her eyes turning red as her coat turned white and her mane and tail turning into fire, spooking everyone as they never saw her that made before. When she turned back to normal, she had a look of defeat as she collapsed to the ground, looking like she was giving up.
"I give up." Twilight said.
"Give what up?" Spike asked.
"The fight." She replied. "I can't fight it anymore. I don't understand how, what, or what, but Pinkie's Pinkie sense... make sense. Just because I don't understand it, doesn't mean it isn't true." She then looked up to Spyro, seeing him shake some dust and dirt off. "And Spyro is right. The more I try to understand it, the less I'll learn."
"Y-y-y-you b-b-b-b-b-b-b-believe?" Pinkie asked, still shuttering.
"Yes, I guess I do." Twilight replied.
As she said it, Pinkie ended up having some kind of attack where a bunch of random things happened, her limbs shrunk, she blew up like a balloon, and a few more other things before she went back to normal. It appeared the doozy was Twilight believing in Pinkie's Pinkie sense, finally understanding that it makes sense and finally believing in it. Everyone ended up having a laugh on their way back home, laughing at everything that happened to Twilight as it all could have been avoided if she had just paid attention.
"Ah can't believe ya'll finally figured out how to heal other ponies." Applejack said. "Would have been helpful some months ago."
"Hey, I was panicking." Spyro replied. "My healing abilities aren't as effective when I panic."
"It was weird to feel the relief from the pain when we held hooves." Twilight said. "I could feel all that energy flow up my forelegs and a second later, the pain was gone."
"Makes me wonder what his other abilities are with those emeralds!" Pinkie said, bouncing.
When they entered the town, they noticed Apple Bloom and Scootaloo had gotten out of class and were playing with Sweetie Belle, running around and playing different games with some of the other kids. The four of them watched as the young fillies were having a good time, playing with all their new friends they have made and even joining in on the fun. At the hospital, the doctor was speaking with the security guards, telling them what they needed to do and who they needed to guard, but as they were talking, they didn't notice a dark figure in the corner of the room with glowing yellow eyes starring at the unconscious mare.
"How pathetic." He said. "Defeated by the prince a second time and with his friends too. You need a new strategy to deal with him." A dark smoke was edited from the shadow, passing over her as images of a filly appeared in her mind and of a stone chest with gold coins. "You know how to get them. You know how to... 'Persuade' your old friend. Bide your time and get the filly. Use it to get what you may need. Use whatever it takes to get those coins and make your servants invincible."
A moment later, the shadow disappeared as the security guards came in to keep an eye on the unconscious unicorn mare, keeping their distance as they heard rumors about this mare and how dangerous she actually was, not wanting to take any chances. But while they weren't looking, a smile appeared on May's face, coming up with multiple ideas to get what she was after and to make her former friend pay.
