About an hour later, both Mr Wayne and Mr Clavell had just finished walking through Poco Path, and made it to the small settlement of Coco Poco, a sort of mini village on the South end of Paldea.
"I must say, the air here is the freshest I've ever breathed."said Mr Wayne, impressed by how fresh the air felt as he's never breathed such clean air.
Especially since places like Gotham City are not known for clean air.
"Well here in Paldea, we value the idea of pure clean energy. Only renewable energy is allowed here in Paldea. That was decided long ago by the Pokemon League and by the government that runs Paldea."responded Mr Clavell, explaining to his subordinate why the air was so clean.
"Huh. Where I come from has a lot to learn from this place."admitted Mr Wayne, feeling like Gotham City has a lot to learn from Paldea.
"And where exactly do you come from? I don't remember the official documents you said with your resignation showing where you came from."said Mr Clavell, remembering that minor detail.
"It's complicated as my home no longer exists... at least as far as I can tell."said Mr Wayne, because he was not sure if Gotham City was still around.
He was confident that Nightwing and Red Robin can defend the city in his place, but there's always a part of him in the back of his mind that says that they failed and Gotham fell.
"I understand. Your not the only educator at our school that has a murky past, but I'm a firm believer in not judging others on past actions. What's important is their present selves, and their desire to help the next generation of Pokemon trainers."said Mr Clavell, deciding to drop the issue of where Mr Wayne came from.
"Thank you, Mr Clavell."said Mr Wayne.
"It looks like we have arrived."said Mr Clavell, revealing that he and Mr Wayne were now standing in front of what appeared to be a luxurious Villa.
"Wow."said Mr Wayne, as of all the Villa was smaller than Wayne Manor, it was clear to him that whoever lived in this house lived a pretty rich lifestyle.
"This is where Miss Nemona calls home outside of Naranja Academy. Hopefully she's at home at this very moment."said Mr Clavell, before he and Mr Wayne enter the gate and made their way to the front door of the villa.
"Here I come!"said a female voice as a young girl wearing a variation of the Naranja Academy school uniform came first thing out of the front door and directly tackled Mr Wayne.
"Mr Wayne!"said Mr Clavell with concern for his fellow educator.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow..."said the girl has Mr Wayne got up.
"You need to pay attention where you're going, young lady."said Mr Wayne, before he offered the girl a hand.
The girl wasn't paying attention as she had just refocused her feel the vision, and that's when she got a good look at Mr Wayne. A blush quickly appeared on her face as she noticed his big hand reaching for her.
"Do you need a hand?"inquired Mr Wayne.
"Yes..."said the girl nervously as she grabbed Mr Wayne's hand, to which he helped her get up.
"Miss Nemona, do please look where you're going when you're running out of your home."said Mr Clavell, identifying the girl as the student council president of Naranja Academy.
"So you're Miss Nemona. It's a pleasure to meet you."said Mr Wayne, to which the student council president didn't say anything for a few seconds.
"... Likewise. I heard rumors that there was a handsome new student teacher at the school, and I guess those rumors are true."said Nemona, who still had a blush on her face.
"Are you okay?"inquired Mr Wayne, causing the girl to stop blushing and shake her head.
"Yeah, I'm fine."said Nemona, trying to act like everything was normal.
"This is Bruce Wayne. He is an aspiring teacher learning at Naranja Academy. Do help him out from time to time, Miss Nemona."said the director.
"With pleasure."quickly responded Nemona.
That is when the student council president noticed a pokeball on Mr Wayne's belt. A smile quickly appeared on her face, before she pulled out a pokéball herself.
"Battle me, Mr Wayne!"said Nemona, confusing Mr Wayne.
"Huh?"he couldn't help but say.
"Miss Nemona is a bit overly fond of Pokemon battling. But I think it's a good idea that you have a Pokemon battle with her, considering your Sprigatito needs to gain experience in order to get stronger."said Mr Clavell, who thought of battle between student and student teacher was a great idea.
"So you only recently got your Pokemon. Well in that case I'll use the Pokemon I recently got as well. Normally I would use one of my other partners, but I want to be on a equal battle field with you, Mr Wayne."said Nemona, revealing her intentions
"Well Sprigatito has been yearning for a battle. Why not."said Mr Wayne, quickly agreeing to have a battle with Nemona.
"Excellent! Let's go to my family's personal battlefield on the beach."said Nemona, before she quickly sprinted away
"Miss Nemona, please wait."said Mr Wayne, before he ran after her.
"Ah, youth these days."said Mr Clavell, before he ran after his colleague and student.
About a minute later, all three Pokemon trainers arrived at a Pokemon field that was located on a private beach behind Nemona's house. The student council president was already waiting for her teacher on the battlefield, holding her pokeball at the ready.
"Are you ready?"inquired Nemona with a smile on her face.
"Yes."quickly responded Mr Wayne as he pulled out the pokeball containing the grass cat Pokemon.
"I'll act as referee. This will be a one-on-one battle between Mr Wayne of Naranja Academy, and Miss Nemona, the student council president of Naranja Academy. The battle will be over when one side's pokémon are unable to continue. There is no time limit, so let the battle begin!"declared Mr Clavell, before both trainers ready themselves to throw their pokeballs.
"Sprigatito, I choose you!"said Mr Wayne, before he called out the grass cat Pokemon for battle.
"Spriga tito!"said the grass cat Pokemon, as he raided himself for battle.
"Quaxly, I choose you!"said Nemona, before she called out the duckling Pokemon for battle.
"Quax!"said the duckling pokémon as he waved his wings around.
"So it's a battle between water and grass!"said Mr Wayne, who knew that he had the advantage when it came to Pokemon type.
At the same time he knew that type alone wouldn't decide a battle, as Quaxly could easily know some Pokemon moves that are super effective against grass type Pokemon in order to make up for that type disadvantage.
"Let's give it our al!"said Nemona with enthusiasm.
"You have the first move, Mr Wayne."said Mr Clavell, with Nemona nodding her head in agreement.
"Then use scratch!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing the grass cat Pokemon to run towards the duckling Pokemon with his claws out.
Sprigatito then quickly struck Quaxly with his claws, causing damage to the duckling Pokemon!
"Not bad! Now let's see how you handle pound attack!"ordered Nemona, making Quaxly quickly recover before he jumped towards the grass cat Pokemon and struck him with pound attack, causing damage!
"Sprig!"said the grass cat Pokemon as he was pushed to his trainer side of the field.
"Use leafage!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing the grass cat Pokemon to form several glowing green leaves out of nowhere, before he launched them at the duckling Pokemon.
"Dodge it!"ordered Nemona, making the duckling pokémon quickly jump high into the air to avoid getting hit with the super effective grass type attack!
"Use bite!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing the grass cat Pokemon to quickly jump high in the air and bite the duck in Pokemon with the dark type move, causing damage.
"Wow! Attacking while in mid-air as there's no way to dodge, not bad!"said Nemona, who had no idea that Mr Wayne knew this thanks to his career as a costume vigilante back in his world.
He knew that doodle laws of physics, it was impossible for a creature to dodge while Free falling... most of the time. He personally knew this while dealing with a criminal pyromaniac known as Firefly...He then quickly shook the thought away, as he had other things to focus on right now.
"Use leafage!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing Sprigatito to launch several glowing green leaves at the duckling Pokemon, and this time they struck their target and caused super effective damage!
"Quax!"said Quaxly as he was launched to his trainer's side of the field.
"You okay?"inquired Nemona, getting a thumbs up from the duckling Pokemon.
"Use wing attack!"ordered Nemona, causing the duckling Pokemon's wings to begin glowing before he ran towards the grass cat Pokemon.
"To the left!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing the grass cat Pokemon to avoid the super effective flying type move by jumping to the left.
"What?"said Nemona, as she was expecting the grass cat Pokemon to jump to avoid that attack, to which she would have countered by ordering Quaxly to jump as well.
"Use scratch and finish this battle with leafage!"ordered Mr Wayne, causing the grass cat Pokemon to quickly strike the duckling Pokemon with scratch!
Sprigatito been created several green glowing leaves around his body, before he launched them at Quaxly, causing the duckling Pokemon super effective damage as he was thrown to his trainer's side of the field!
Where it was revealed he had been knocked out upon landing!
"Quaxly!"said Nemona, unable to believe she was defeated so easily despite the fact she was
"Quaxly is unable to battle! Meaning this battle belongs to Mr Wayne and Sprigatito!"declared Mr; Clavell, acting as referee to voice the winner.
"Phew..."said Mr Wayne, before his Pokemon jumped on his shoulder.
Sprigatito then begin nuzzling his trainer's cheek with his cheek.
"Good job"said Mr Wayne, who decided to reward his starter Pokemon with chin scratches, something the grass cat Pokemon seem to really enjoy.
"Wow, Mr Wayne! At first I thought you were an adult with no Pokemon training talent! But I clearly see I was mistaken as you have so much potential of being a Pokemon trainer! It makes me wonder why Sprigatito is your first Pokemon when you clearly have so much talent."said Nemona after she ran towards Mr Wayne and got real close to him.
"Well I had other obligations in life and I guess I never really got to go on my journey."said Mr Wayne, lying through his teeth.
"Well it's a good thing the director decided to put you on the treasure hunt. I can only imagine how much stronger you're going to get when you go on a journey throughout Paldea! I can't wait to see what kind of Pokemon trainer you will become!"said Nemona with enthusiasm.
"Miss Nemona, do you mind getting out of Mr Wayne's personal space."said Mr Clavell, causing the girl to realize that she was awfully close to her hot teacher.
"Ahhh."said Nemona, before she began blushing.
"Anyway, I can't wait to see you in Mr Jacq's class!"said the student council president, before she ran off.
"Where is she going?"wondered Mr Wayne.
"My guess, she's already making her way to school. After all, there's now even more incentive for her to go to school everyday."said Mr Clavell, who was glad that Nemona found someone who can possibly give her a challenge.
Ever since she became a champion ranked trainer, she hasn't been enjoying recent pokémon battles as she feels like the people she has faced are too weak. Now with Mr Wayne getting her attention, it was clear that the director that she was looking for to see how much latent talent this student teacher had.
"Well, I guess we better get going back to school."said Mr Wayne, as their business here had been concluded.
"You go on ahead and try to capture some more Pokemon for your team, Mr Wayne. I'll tell you right now you'll need more then Sprigatito if you hope to take on the Treasure Hunt."said Mr Clavell, deciding to give his colleague a keen piece of advice.
"Yes sir."said Mr Wayne, before he began to go back to Poco Path.
He figured that adding some more pokémon to his team wouldn't hurt as he'll need them if he wants the journey through Paldea.
After all, he was sure if he went though Paldea at his current level, super strong pokémon with challenge him left and right and he wouldn't be able to properly defend himself. He didn't have his gadgets, and it was pretty obvious to him that whoever brought him here sealed away most of his skills. He didn't know why that creature did that, all he knew is that it was an inconvenience to him.
So the only way he was ever going to get through this was to become a proper Pokemon trainer!
And that meant adding more Pokemon to his team!
What Pokemon do you want to see Bruce Wayne / Batman capture and train?
I'm thinking of Noibat, for obvious reasons.
But what other Pokemon do you believe he should have?
I plan to give him more than six so vote away!
