Chapter 6:Confrontation
It was about six days after they brought zane in Miyuki was now sitting in the medical tent watching over the guy. They had to keep watch incase anything happened to him in his deep sleep. What was weird is Ross said his sedatives should have worn off four days ago.
But he also concluded that since his injrueis were severe he might need more rest. Miyuki was trying to find anything she could do to kill time around here. Lately for the past five days they've been attack by some small grimm. They did make a barricade to hold them back but that wasn't doing it.
Everytime they fixed it in time the dam thing would just be broken sighed as she was bored as hell right now. She did find a book here to read but that got boring quickly. Although trifa has been talking about sending people topside to try and gather parts to fix the gate controls.
But alot of people shot that idea down quickly. Their scard that grimm miht have gotten in those tunnels now and that door is whats keeping them safe.
Zane slept on the hospital bed soudnly as miyuki just watched the guy with her hand on her chin bored.
"Man wish you'd wake up soon then we wouldn't have this stupid job"miyuki said to herself.
"Though you may need your rest you did look like you were on deaths doors"miyuki continued talking to herself.
"Wonder what happened to that girl with you tha thad the teal hair. Gotta thank her again for saving my arm from infection"Miyuki said smiling a little.
"So your talking to yourself now…you've gone crazy kid"a familiar male voice said to her. Miyuki looked up to see carver with cup of brown liquid. He had one for him and another for her. He set one down next to her and she picked it up smelling it.
It smelt like burnt crap and she knew what it was hsi signature coffee he brewed.
"Ughhh seriously why does coffee have to smell like burnt shit"miyuki complained as she took a small sip from the coffee cup.
Carver chuckled a little"Really your drinking it so i'm guessing its not that bad"Carver added smiling.
Miyuki shrugged her shoulders at him"its decent for the most part…though I wonder when he's going to wake up"miyuki said staring at Zane.
"Look they brought him back half dead, give it time. Thoguh you notice that Tia girl starting crap lately"carver added
That tia williams girl has been starting stuff with the faunus lately. But she didn't know exactly why though. They saved them from dying and now their waiting for rescue. Though the women has been trying to spy in on Trifia, yuma and Akasha meeting. Xander that wolf faunus has to guard the tent from her now everytime they have a meeting.
"Maybe she figured out their white fang. Can't believe they told me and you. "Miyuki said quietly.
"I know maybe because us and the others from the village apperciate what they did. If they were going to kill us they do it now. "Carver replied queitly.
Miyuki rubbed her head slowly"lets just hope nothing bad happens from this. You here to take over for me?"miyuki asked with carver nodding. Miyuki got up from the chair as she cracked her back. It was sore after sitting their for a while.
Carver took her seat as he sipped on his coffee watching the kid. As Miyuki lefted the room going off to do something to pass the time. They don't know when rescue will come but it better be soon. He took another sip of coffee and looked at it.
"Eh its still good"Carver said to himself as he drank his coffee.
Back in Zane mind he sat in darkness as he stared at the giant ball of light on the ceiling. It lowered a bit this time which made him think about it. Maybe its a way out of this place after he visits each door.
But right now hes been here for maybe a few hours. Its hard to tell time when theirs no clocks in here. Bane hasn't showed up yet and it was starting to worry him. Zane looked at the door that unlocked since last time he was here.
Lately hes just been having recurring dreams or something. He goes through these scenarios in the past he's experience but they are different from what he remembers. Zane went through his initiation day but he failed to save Rogue and Ren. Both died that day and he felt guily about that.
Then their was the sawmill when he was under watts control. The scenario played the same but when onxyia tried to break him out of it. Instead of breaking his control with vance help. He instead stabbed her, that hurt the most. Zane didn;t want to think about doing that to her or his other friends. Why would his mind make him live through something like that.
Another was were he found Eria bodie in the middle of the streets of vale. Adder was above her corpse with his blade covered in her blood. While Zane was fighting off grimm watching her die infront of him. Then lastly it showed adder actually stabbing velvet through the chest impaling her heart.
"Dammit why does my mind always think up the most screwed up nigthmare"zane said to himself.
"Your telling me kid its your mind"bane said as he leaned against nothing. Zane got scared as he jumped backwards from the copy of him. He screamed a little as he stared at Bane who was laughing at him.
"Ha,ha very funny…jerk. Where have you been, I feel like i've been here for days"zane said looking around the place.
"Sorry had to…sleep for a bit. Though are you ready to visit what is behind door number two?"bane asked
Zane then looked at the door and started to make his way over to the door. He stared at it for a bit relziing what this memorie could be. It had his mother's name on it so it must be a memorie of her. That made him smile a little, giving him a hopeful look.
"Hmm, who's Nadia walker?"Bane asked with his hands on his chin smugly.
"Your kidding you know about my memories but can't rember my mom?"Zane asked but Bane returned a cocky smile. He was messing with him, now zane was thinking was he always like this. Well he did joke and goof around most of the time. Maybe this is his conscious or something.
"Alright lets see what's behind this door"zane said as he pushed the door open. As he did the same blinding light came over him. Zane squinted his eyes waiting for the light to die down. Soon enough it did and he was in the boxing gym again.
But what was weird is he saw a very younger version of his sister zoey and his mom. Zoey maybe looked to be eleven years old while he was five maybe. Nadia was talking with colt off to the side about something seeming annoyed. Her right arm was still missing which suggest she didn't get her prosthetic yet.
Nadia took a seat on a bench rubbing her head"dang it colt…its getting really hard to run this place now. Most of my staff left to join that other fricking gym. "Nadia said rubbing her head.
"Come on walker you'll live just gotta look toward the positives in life"colt added
Off to the side Zoey was throiwng a ball to young zane as he sat on the ground. He caught it and failed at throwing it to her. Zoey looked annoyed as she walked over grabbing the ball and putting it in his hands.
"No not like that, like this"Zoey said throwing it showing him it.
Zane just looked at her poking her in the face. Zoey looked confused as she gently tapped him on the head. Zoey then went and retrieved the ball. While young zane got up to walk around away from her.
Zoey then turned around relaxing her adoptive baby brother was missing. She looked around like crazy for him trying not to make her mother panic. She quietly did as she searched around the area were zane was.
"Dang it where did he go"zoey said to herself as Zane and bane watched laughing a little. Zane started to remember that day zoey kept looking around for him everywhere. But he just kept following her around quietly behind. The girl didn't even hear him surprsing for being a faunus.
Zoey must have been focused on finding her little brother. Zane smiled at this because he missed her but she might be scared of him after what he did at the festival.
Nadia got up from her spot going over to the ring looking at it frowning. She looked upset a little as colt noticed this. He walked over placing a hand on his friend who had a somber look.
"colt…I don't think i'm fit to be a mom"nadia told him as zane heard this it surprisied him a little.
"Oh come on your doing great, those two seem to like you. Your not their biological parents but your raising them as your own. "Colt replied reassuring her.
"Thats not what I mean if my business fails how will I support them .I can't get a job with one arm…it'll be hard. "Nadia said worried as she used her one arm to rub the numb that remained of her arm.
Colt tapped the side of his head then his eyes lit up. He snapped his finger smiling at her. The gier faunus looked at him a little curious what the man was planning.
"Hey just call torchwich maybe he can hook you up with a new arm"Colt suggested as zane eyes shot out of his head. Colt just said torchwich the only person he knows by that name was Roman Torchwich an infamous criminal.
"Wait did colt just say torchwich?"Zane qeustioned bane.
Bane nodded as he walked around the gym admiring it"seems so, maybe hes your mysterious uncle you don't know about. "Bane replied
"But that wouldn't make sense that means lazuli, neo and vance are criminals. Their not like that…maybe"zane said with doubt in his voice.
Back in the real world Akasha and Jae were guardian the front entrane with Tia glaring at them. The girl been staring at them along with the other fuanus here with glares everyday. The falcon was starting to get annoyed by this.
"Ughh seriously what is this girl problem"akasha said
Jae shrugged her shoulder"don't know maybe she has the hots for you"Jae playfully suggested.
Akasha rolled her eyes because she already has a girl friend. A chameleon faunus who she foundly cares for. But right now shes still with ollie and adam in the white fang. She let them leave out of pity because of her. But the falcon could remembered the day Onxyia made her ask the girl out.
"Hey remember i'm dating my little Ilia."akasha retorted with Jae rolling her eyes shaking her head.
"Uhh I remember onxyia and me tricking you to ask her out. You were so shy despite being someone who acts cool"jae playful said with Akasha flicking her forehead. Jae rubbed her forehead staring at the falcon faunus.
"Quit talking over their and watch the main entrance you two. We don't want grimm here, so focus"Tia demanded.
Jae rolled her eyes as she grabbed her climbing axes she uses as her weapons. They were green on the handle and the blade was silver. Their were triggers on handle suggesting she can shoot from them.
Akasha aimed her shotgun down the tunnel entrance and started to remember the day she asked llia out smiling.
One year ago White Fang Camp
A younger akasha sat around a campfire eating her dinner. Her along with the other scouts in the white fang were done scouting out an area in vacou. She had on her typically white fang attire but she took her mask off so she could eat.
With her was Jae in her white fang attire both her and onxyia were in a scouting group for the organization. As they ate Akasha kept glancing over at another member of the white fang several times.
A young women around her age maybe. Her appearance was that she had light dark skin with somewhat darker spots on her arms,legs and stomach and face. They seem to resemble chameleon scales and on her hip was a white fang mask. But her hair was brown and tied back into a ponytail as it curled at the end like a chameleons tail. Her eyes were light gray with a faint bluish tint. Her body types seems to suggest a small frame with bust and rear.
She wore a black, gray and dark gray sleeveless stealth suit with short leg that resemble a playsuit with black tirm around the legs. The color divide is at the center of her thighs. The stealth suits zipper is gold,and over it, she wears a gray belt strap with gold buckles. She wears black calf high boots that are folded over and a black glove on her right hand.
On her hip was what appeared to be a whip her weapon maybe.
As the falcon faunus stared at the girl a certain and familiar wolf faunus smiled.
"Hmmm didn't know you swinged the other way"onxyia teased
Akasha stumbled a little flailing her arms in the air at her. The falcon face slightly blushed as he quickly put her mask on to hide it.
"I-i don't know what your talking about"Akasha said putting her arms under her bust.
Jae and Onxyia smiled at each other knowing the girl was lying but played along with her.
"Oh well then despite that….even if you didn't have a thing for her. But if you did why?"Jae asked with a sly expression.
Akasha rubbed her left arm"well…come on…shes cute…in my opinion. Why are you two interrogating me what about you two. I don't see you gushing over anyone"akasha retorted.
Jae ate her food which was some stew with vegetables and an animal they hunted down early.
"Well you see no one's peak my interest yet. But you never know ,though dog ears here's waiting for the right guy"jae said in air quotes.
Onxyia looked at the salamander faunus rolling her singular eye shown.
"Come on…i'm just…self conscious about my eyes.I'm scared someone…will…call me a freak for it. I already got dual traits"Onxyia said as her tail swayed.
Akasha chuckled a little as she placed her bowl next to her"come on…i think its interesting to have dual traits. It's your unique feature, pretty sure someone will be lucky to have you in the future"Akasha said reassuring the faunus.
But they weren't done messing with the falcon about asking the chameleon faunus out.
"Though back to you…if you would ask her any question right now, like right now would you?"Onxyia questioned playfully.
Akasha chuckled a little"If I had the courage to right now, I'd ask the cute chameleon faunus out on a date after this mission. Maybe take her to the beach or something"Akasha said proudly.
"Umm are you talking about me?''a female voice said behind them.
Akasha eyes went wide as they budlged out of her head. She slowly turned around to see said chameleon faunus their with a bowl of food. Her dark spots on her skin turned slightly pink suggesting she was blushing.
"Well…um…uh..you see…I was…talking about"Akasha said stumbling her words blushing slightly. Those two tricked her; they must have seen her coming over to join them.
Onxyia got up stretching as her tail swayed a little and she motioend for Jae to stand up.
"Hmm seems you two need some time alone, we're going to check the perimeter"onxyia said as the salamander faunus joined her. The two other girls sat there awkwardly and looked away from each other. Akasha was eternally screaming on the inside right now.
"So…what time are you free?"the chameleon faunus shyly asked blushing.
Akasha rubbed the back of her head smiling at her"umm how about the weekend. I know a great coffee shop in menagerie"Akasha asked blushing.
The chameleon faunus laughed a little gigilgin"sure…i;m Llia by the way"the girl itnroduced herself.
"akasha"Akasha introduced herself. The two smiled at each other and ate their food. Along with talking about each other for abit. While a salamander and wolf faunus watched close by. Smiling.
Present
Akasha sat their holding her weapon remebering that day. Those two tricked her into confessing and she hated them for a month for doing that. But she was glad she managed to meet Llia and both got along well.
At the radio statio Yuma along with an older man were working on the radio. The older man wore a long sleeve tan polo shirt underneath a red sweater. He also wore a pair of grey dress pants with some dress shoes that were brown. His skin was pale and he had black eyes. His hair was balding and he had some on the side of his head. Along with that he had a thick grey mustache on his face.
Yuma had a headset on trying to send an sos out of the place. But nothing was getting through and he groaned to himself.
"Dammit why hasn't anyone come for us yet"yuma said in disappointed.
The old man looked at some wires and was fixing them right now. He connected a few as the radio sparked to life as static came through the other side.
"Hmm my guess is something is jamming the radio or were missing a part. Everything seems to be in working order.
Yuma sighed as he stood up exmaining the radio. It was a simple ham radio that roman gave them. But he's been having no luck. Maybe the CCT tower went off line. But he hoped they could at least get some sort of signal.
"Well despite that if we keep trying maybe at some point they'll come save our sorry asses"yuma said
The older man laughed a little"come now kid, what was it you said a couple days ago. We need to stay calm and just wait for rescue."the older man replied
Yuma chuckled but he frowned a little. They need to find a new barricade soon because they lost four people since the grimm came down in the tunnel. Two of which was one of the villager with miyuki group another from the cvilians they rescue. And two of their ex white fang members.
He just hopes trifia comes up with a plan soon. Usually he the leader in this sort of thing but carried out assasination not holding a community together. Trifia stepped up and he helps her out from time to time. But seriously things could get bad if they find out about them being white fang.
"So old timer you work with radios alot?"yuma asked to get a conversation started
"Oh don't call me old, it's Ethan, my boy"the man replied as the bat faunus smiled.
"Alright Ethan…how are you so experienced with radios"yuma asked
Ethan rubbed his balding head trying to remember"I used to be a radio operator in the Atlas infantry unit back in my day. "Ethan replied making the bat faunus interested.
"Really you worked in the military you don't seem like the type"yuma replied.
Ethan smiled a little as he messed with a few of the knobs on the radio. He tuned it into a frequency that may be atlas military. But as he did nothing came through the other end except static.
"My boy I was a radio operator for Argus back in my day. Help run the comm towers back then. Though that was maybe thirty years ago after I got stationed their. After that I retired and moved to Vale for a quiet life. "Ethan replied
Yuma smiled and the two continued to work on the radio to fix it. It was nice talking about the old times with the old timer. He may have not been alive during his time but it did entertain him. Beats sitting around waiting for rescue or for grimm to come eat them.
Back in Zane mind he stared at his mom who was talking with colt still. He still couldn't believe his uncle was Roman Torchwich the infamous petty thief of remnant. Alot of thing were going through his mind right now.
One was why didn't they tell him about this. Along with was their a reason they hide this from him the first place. Second does that mean Neo,Vance and Lazuli are petty crooks. But wouldn't that make one of them Swan romans bodyguard.
The only person matching Swan description was Lazuli. For one neo was too short and Vance was a boy. But it made some sense because they never mentioned their uncle that much which did confuse him. He thought at first he might have died but they were hiding his identity to protect him.
"So my uncle is roman torchwich the infamous thief of remnant?"zane questioned with Bane looking at him balnkly.
"Guess so, it explains alot if you think about it"Bane replied as he leaned against an imaginary wall.
Zane sighed as he continued to watch the memory play out infront of him. Young zane kept sneaking up behind his adoptive sister. Soon enough he got close and pulled her tail. Zoey shivered and she turned to see him standing their smiling.
"Mom! Zane pulled my tail again"Zoey screamed with Nadia having an annoyed expression. While Colt just laughed a little at the tiger faunus expression. Nadia got up rubbing her head walking over to the two.
"Baby we don't pull on people tail thats not nice"Nadia said as she got to his eye level.
Zane stared at her and looked at her ears. Nadia noticed this staring at him not to do it. Zane slowly reached up and grabbed her ear. Then he slightly pulled at her ear with a cheeky grin.
Nadia sighed as she reacted a little at that but glared at her adoptive son.
"Sweetie…if you pull your sister tail again or tug at my ears….no ice cream for life"nadia threatened
"What…noooo"young zane said as he ran away from her with the women sighing as she chuckled.
"Jeez that kids a goofball isn't he"colt said as the two watched zoey chase after her young brother to get payback. She tried to give him a noggi and little zane kept running from her. Until he stumbled and she caught him tickling him.
Nadia smiled a little and scratched her chin. Then she looked at her scroll and began to make a call. While colt went to keep an eye on the two kids while she talked.
Zane sighed a little smiling as he watched the memorie played out. But then a bright light appeared as it surrounded him. He let it happen this time as he was tranpsorted back into the main room. Another small light appeared infront of the door he just went into.
It was him hugging his mom and sister after finding them at Menagerie after soo long being apart. He couldn't help give a big smile remembering that day. It was one of his best days of his life and he couldn't help it. After thinking his family was dead since they couldn't find much records about him.
Though his mom must hate him right now. She probably hurting right now and probably getting targetted for being the mother of a monster.
"That was the best day of my life"zane said with bane nodding.
"Seems so despite not being blood related that women cared for you like her own. Though it seems theirs a gift from this door this time"Bane said gesturing toward the center.
Zane looked toward the center and a recntagular blade like object stood in the middle and he was confused.
Zane walked forward toward it as his hand touched it. The light dissipated as it sparked away to reveal a weapon in his hands. A familair katana he dubbed remorse in all its glory. He was confused why his katana would just appear right now. But this made him wonder why a weapon would appear.
As he held remorse he did feel some of that right about now. Remorseful of what he's done to penny the girl had a bright life ahead of her and he snuffed it out. It proved to all those people that he was just some monter
"Hmm interesting blade, seems we may have a fight ahead in the next door."Bane said making zane curious
"What do you mean by that do I have to fight my literal demons in here or something?"Zane asked. Bane looked at him ready to explain although he stopped.
As he did the next door made a clicking sound could be looked toward the next door and he became a little sad by that one. He knew that one was meant for someone he had feeling for.
"Another door has opened to us it seems"Bane said
"Guess thats up next"Zane said as he was about to start moving.
But before anything else happened Bane disappeared and he fell into the watery void once again. Surround by darkness and he slipped out of his consciousness again.
Back in reality Miyuki was laying at the ground staring at the same boring concrete ceiling. At this point they were running out of stuff to do at this point. But a few of them took to getting to know each other which was a great start.
Although most of the faunus hide the fact they were all ex white fang. They didn't want anything bad to happen if they told them. Because next thing they know is they have all out war down here then grimm may come.
Miyuki sighed as she decided to get up and check on that falcon faunus shes been talking too. The girl seems nice although she doesnt play for that team. Miyuki began walking up the stairs and passed by the medical tent.
She looked at carver reading a book with some glasses. He had his terrible coffee in hand. Carver looked up noticing the girl and he lifted a mug. Miyuki smiled before walking over real quick to talk to the old man.
"Hey carver…having fun over here?"miyuki questioned
"A bit boring but sleeping beauty was saying something early"Carver replied
Miyuki raised an eyebrow at the mention of this. Its rare for someone to talk in their sleep sometimes. But from what shes seeing maybe this guy wasn't sleeping. Ross theorized he may be in a coma which is dangerous right now.
"Alright what did he say?"Miyuki asked
"He kept saying a womens name it seems, her name was zoey and he kept saying mom. Seems hes dreaming about his family or something"Carver replied
"Well whoever they are, they'll be happy probably to see him alive. I'm going to check on the entrance see yah"Miyuki said waving goodbye as she left carver to his little watch duty.
Miyuki got to the stairs and quickly went up them. As she did she saw Tia getting in Jae and Akasha face. This didn't boad well for whatever is happening right now. The women been having trouble with the faunus here lately.
"Admit it your all white fang"tia said jabbing a finger into akasha chest.
Akasha scoffed at her accusation"really what proof do you have huh?"Akasha retorted glaring at her.
Tia just chuckled smiling at her before she smiled as she decided to start a commotion.
"Hey everyone we got a problem!"Tia shouted with Akasha and Jae looking at each other. Miyuki looked a little worried because if this women starts something it could mean bad things.
Soon everyone inside the safehouse came up the stairs in a hurry as they gathered. Trifia and yuma pushed past them along with Ross. They went to the small group wondering what is happening.
"Whats wrong did more grimm get through?"trifia questioned looking at them.
Tia smirked shaking her head at her"no but explain to all of us why you have this?"tia said confusing the spider faunus.
Then Tia dug through her jacket as she grabbed a mask. She held it up and it was a White Fang mask. The humans in the group started to look at the faunus they've been staying with for a while now.
Murmurs began to starts as the human started to back away from their faunus saviors.
"Where did you get that?"Yuma questioned demanding to know.
"Oh this I found it in the storage lockers seem you couldn't hide your true identity White Fang"Tia retorted with malice.
"Wait…did you all save us so you could kill us?"A women in the ground said holding a little girl. Her father came down her with those two. She was probably his wife judging by how the girls clutching to her.
"No…no…we..umm..you see"Jae tried to explain but the girl got nervous as she ringed her hands together.
"What that you all were planning on killing us in our sleep."A man theorized
"Hey asshole thats not what were doing we just saved you all"a monkey faunus retorted.
"Oh bullcrap all you white fang know how to do is kill people. Your all animals"Tia said gesturing toward all the faunus. Miyuki clenched her fist as she wasn't in the mood for this. They help them and this is how they return the favor.
Throwing accusations around the place suggesting their here to kill all kept arguing and the girl couldn't handle it anymore.
"ENOUGH!"Miyuki yelled as her maiden power reacted. Her eyes had two blues flames around them as the air became colder. Everyone looked toward the girl who had an anger expression on her face.
"Are you all even better seriously, if they saved us they would have killed us days ago!"Miyuki shouted
"But they could be spie–"someone begun but Miyuki stopped him.
"No they aren't you wanna know something think about if their white fang why are they here. All of them left the city but they stayed behind think"Miyuki said.
The humans in the crowd started to get a little quieter. They looked at each other mumruing among themselves. Miyuki flames around her eyes were getting bigger and the girl didn't notice.
Tia just shook her head at this claim"really kid I know for a fact that we should never trust anyone from the white fang. They just get the ones you care about killed"Tia said
Miyuki threw her hands down and as she did she shot ice from her figner tip. It shattered across the ground infront of everyone. The girl wasn't ready to deal with this girl. Everysince since day one shes been starting shit with all the faunus here.
What extaclty was her problem, did the white fang kill her family, a lover or friend.
"Oh and whys that you seemed really happy to be here or are you just pretending to be all happy so they'd protect you"Miyuki retorted.
"Kid you don't know me at all"Tia retorted as she crossed her arms.
"Really? Elaborate then why you hate faunus?"miyuki question getting close to the girl. The atmosphere around all of them started to feel really gold. Akasha looked to the ceiling and saw a small cloud appear. It was raining down snow on them and she looked at Miyuki.
Tia clenched her fist ready to sock the girl but relaxed she stared miyuki dead in the eyes to tell her.
"Wanna know why I hate faunus….my girlfriend joined the white fang years ago. Barely their for a few weeks and then she winds up dead. "Tia said as some of the white fang reacted a little.
"what?"Miyuki asked a little surprised as she seemed to calm down by the storm cloud shrinking.
"You heard me why should we trust you, my girlfriend died for your stupid cause. I used to think all faunus were equal. But after seeing what their cause does for them. I resented them proving everyone accusations and theories."tia continued as she stared at miyuki.
Before anything happened next soon a gunshot went off. They looked to see akasha wided eyed looking down the tunnel. The group turned to see three beowolfs down the tunnel coming toward them.
"We got three grimm in the tunnel!"akasha shotued as she pumped her shotgun ejecting the spent dust round. She fired off another round and another hitting one. It shook it off a little as it moved forward toward them.
Trifia grabbed her knife from her hip and Xander ran from the crowd ready to attack the grimm. Yuma along with Rob escorting them down below to take cover. Trifia lifted up her glove as she shot a web at one of the beowolfs. She wrapped it up and pulled it forward using both her hands. As she did the beowulf fell to the ground hard.
Then she hoped on its back stabbing it multiple times. Xander rushed foward shooting at it with his pistol three times. The beast then started to turn to smoke and disappear. Soon enough carver rushed up the stairs seeing the advancing beowolfs coming toward them.
He then turned his attention to miyuki as her maiden power were active. He ran over to the girl because her parents told her about the story. He rushed over to her as she sat their stunned a little.
"miyuki!"Carver said grabbing her and she looked at maiden powers were active and she finally relzied it. She tired to shut them off but they wouldn't cam down.
"Calm down…clam down….please"Miyuki said to herself trying to calm down herself.
Tia looked at what was going on as she had a studded mace in her hand. She looked over at Jae who swiped at the grimm. But the beast swiped at her launching her into the railing. The girls aura flickered light yellow for a bit. Jae groaned as she got up slowly.
The beowulf got in while akasha dealt with the other one coming down the hall. Akasha slide changing her weapon to a bladed tonfa. She sliced at the beast ankles. It howled in pain and she stabbed it in the gut several times. But then it swiped at her as she continued her assault.
Jae was slowly getting up as the beowulf approached her. The salamander faunus looked up at her fate as she reached for her weapons. But she relzied they slipped from her grasp as she stared at the beowulf scared. She put her arms up to block the attack as she closed her eyes.
Then from the side Tia rushed in with a warcry smacking the beowulf toward the entrance. Jae looked at the women who gave a determined look. She helped her up and Jae retrieved her weapons. Soon the two continued to attack the beowolf together.
Soon enough after Tia smashed it skull in. While Jae buried one climbing axe into its side then the other into his jaw. The grimm then fell to the ground turning into smoke..Akasha finally dealt with her as she breathed heavy having to dodge so many hits. They all looked at each other as Miyuki finally clamed down.
They all regroup as the others from below slowly made their way their way back to regorup. The entire group stared at each other with worry and doubt toward each other. Soon enough someone spoke up and it was xander.
He stepped in front of the entrance getting everyone attention. They all had eyes on him as he took a deep breath staring at them.
"Wanna know why white fang are here. We all left."Xander simply said as the crowd reacted a little. Some of the faunus looked down and away from each other. While the humans were confused about why they would leave.
"Why would you leave,you didn't believe in your cause?"tia asked smugly.
"No not when your leader order you to kill anyone who wants to leave or dersert"Trifia said calmly as she looked away.
"What do you mean by that dear?"Ethan the older gentlemen who was with yuma early.
Xander clenched his fist as he pulled up a gold feather necklace. It was his best friends Ben, but he got killed for not wanting to help with a dust robbery. He held it close as he looked at the crowd with a stoic look.
"We all left because our leader started to kill anyone who left. A madman who killed my best friend when he got scared and wanted to leave. He made me believe an innocent shop owner did. But all he was doing was protecting his business and daughter"xander begun.
"But I did research and found him responsible for his death. You may think were all monster or animals. But right now all of us are trying to make a difference today. Were trying to help change how they view us. If something so small like this can help change a few people views on us. Thats just one of several steps"Xander finished looking at the crowd.
Yuma shook his head smiling and went over putting a hand on his shoulder.
"You got your old mans blood in ya kid. Old dog would always give some stoic speech or…he ask yah to fight you"Yuma added
The crowd was silent for a bit, the humans and faunus looked at each other. They were thinking about their next step it seems. Soon enough Tia stepped up as she helped with rebuilding the barricade.
Then several others in the group started to get to work. But as they did Miyuki looked at her hands. Then she took a deep breath before her eyes lit up again. She walked past everyone as she went into the tunnel.
Miyuki took a deep breath then an ice field encompassed the tunnel in front of her. Then miyuki raised her hand up as ice shot up from the ground. It seemed to be very deep into the tunnel. Soon enough they had a new barricade of ice covering their entrance.
The girl then closed her eyes as the flames disappeared. Then she looked at the crowd of people staring at her in amazement at what she just did. Trifia was a little amazed and relzied this girl semblance could be pretty useful.
"Thats a useful semblance kid…what do you call it?"Trifia questioned smiling.
Miyuki looked at her hands flexing her fingers. Then she looked at carver who shook his head to her. He shook it too the side telling her no and she nodded. Then miyuki turned toward the spider faunus staring her dead in the eyes.
"I call it blizzard, but do all understand that if were to survive. We need to work with each other not against one another"Miyuki declared.
The crowd looked at each other for a bit taking her words to heart it seems. As they all started to converse with each other suggesting ideas to one another. Along with several people apolgizging to their faunus host. Carver walked over placing a hand on miyuki shoulder. She looked up giving a small smile and he nodded to her.
They now had a sturdy barricade to hold off the grimm and all they need to do it play it
It seems the safehouse group now know about theri faunus saviors being ex white fang. Though with miyuki speech it seemed to bolster their resolve, along with that zane learned his adoptive uncle was roman torchwich. But he has three more doors to face, till next chapter!
