Chapter 10 Blue:Escape

At the radio station Yuma and ethan were hard at work making something it seems. Ethan stuck his tongue out. The man had some wires in hand and a small dish like device. Yuma held a light over him so he can focus. The old man then twisted some wires together and soon he smiled a little proud of his work.

"Ah ha I did it"ethan exclaimed with Yuma smiling wodnerring what he made.

"What did you make even?"yuma questioned.

The old man smiled as he raised the device and it looked to a sonar device used for marine wildlife. Their was a long length of wires connected to it and it traveled to the radio station. Then he switched some on as the radio came to life.

But then a feedback noise wnet off as yuma covered his ears along with the other faunus with them. Trifia emerged out a tent wondering what is going on. Ethan cringed a little as he quickly turned the radio off.

The faunus soon relaxed a little as they rubbed their ears from what just happened. The noise yuma heard sounded terrible. It wounded like someone was scraping a bone saw against a chalk board or something. But as ethan turned it off it soon disappeared.

Trifia walked over exmainign the two wondering what they exactly did.

"Alright you two what the hell was that it sounded like my ears were about to explode"trifia complained.

Yuma was rubbing his ears looking at the old timer"yeah old man what is this thing?"yuma questioned as he examined the sonar like device in his hands.

Ethan smiled as he got up stretching his back. A crack could be heard and he had the biggest grin on his face.

"That my faunus friends is a radio antenna in a way"ethan replied

The two looked at him confused a little they know what that is. But how can such a small and simple device do something like that for them. Trifia cupped her chin as she took a seat near the two waiting for his explanation.

"Alright how does it work?"trifia asked

"Ok you see we've been having trouble contacting anyone on their scrolls or radios for weeks now right."Ethan asked

"Yeah you said last week the problem was our signal wasn't being received by anyone since were far underground. Point being?"yuma added

"Well you see with my little device we can boost the signal for our radio. Then we can get a signal out to any huntsman and huntresses in the area."ethan replied which seem to surprise the two.

Trifia smiled at this patting the old timer on the back. As she did he flicnehd a little because he was pretty old. The guys bone were pretty weak and old.

"Great job old man, with this we can finally get help"trifia exclaimed happy.

Ethan took off his glasses as he rubbed them down. He looked a little down and trifa and yuma noticed this. Their was a catch to this plan and idea he had. Which meant it was either good or bad.

"Alright what the problem"trifia asked concerned.

Ethan sighed as he picked up the sonar device and looked toward the hole with bars on it. Then he looked at the two for a bit being explaining.

"You see we need to point it outside, along with that it needs to be somewhere high in the sky. If we don't our signal won't get through. That means we need someone to go outside and hold out till we get a signal"ethan said with worry.

Trifia sighed at the catch which meant it could be bad. But their so close to calling for help and they need it. Right now their going to start running low on food. Also ross said their running low on iv drip bags.

If that happens then the patient they've been treating will soon die from lack of nutrients. Along with that they need to get help soon. In about a couple weeks their food will be out.

Trifia clasped her hands together as she hunched over in her chairs thinking. As she did she sighed as she seemed to come up with a plan. Then she looked toward the two nodding to them

Meanwhile Akasha,Tia, Miyuki,Rob and Jae were busy talking with each other. Tia started to warm up to everyone finally after a week of her annoying remark. Along with apolgizing to all the faunus their as well. They seem to appreciate it while Rob still hated the women for it.

The reason they hide the fact they were white fang was because they didn't want conflict. Which happened for a bit but luckily they managed to put it aside. They've all been working together now to help each other out.

They were in the middle of discussing some things about something they would do with a million lien if ever offered. It may have been childish but it helped past the time.

"Alright if I had a million lien I buy…my own movie theatree, the schnee manor and an atlas ship."jae replied as she leaned against a wall.

Akasha snorted at the salamander faunus declaration fo what she do with frowned at her and stared at her narrowing her gaze.

"What its a good one whats wrong with that?'jae questioned.

Rob was eating some jerky he was eating for lunch. He bite into it chewing it with his mouth full while he talked.

"Don't know….maybe because one of those things cost a bunch of money idiot"rob said. Jae tail moved around for a bit. Then she kicked him and he stared at her. Then he presented his middle finger telling her to screw off.

Jae looked hurt as she clutched her chest. Then covered both her hands behind her back. She quickly removed them giving him two middle fingers annoyed. The two kept flipping each other off while the other three laughed.

"Jeez for a sixteen year old you sure are vulgar"tia said as she layed on the ground.

"Well sorry miss I hated faunus, its just how I was raised. "Jae retorted sticking a tongue out at the girl.

Tia rolled her eyes as she had one knee up kicking the other foot in the air slightly. Miyuki was looking at her wrist under her sleeve. On her wrist were some razor scars and she frowned at this. She quickly covered them as she looked at the group.

"Alright whos next?"jae questioned looking at the group.

"Oh its miyuki turn go ahead girl"akasha said as she leaned in a chair.

Miyuki rubbed the back of her head trying to come up with an answer. But all she could come up with is buy some fancy clothing or jewlery. Although if she could she probably fund money on ways to turn piper back to normal.

The girl seemed used to it but she got worried that one day someone may shoot her for looking like a grimm. Along with that she felt guilty for leaving her sister eden behind all those years ago. She frowned a little with Jae taking notice of this.

"Umm hey you alright?"Jae questioned.

Miyuki relzied the four were staring at her as she avoided their gaze for a second. She sighed as she side eyed them while beginning to talk.

"Its just…if I had that money i'd probably buy fancy clothes or pay someone to return piper to normal"miyuki replied

The group looked at her confused the girl mentioned this piper girl before. But they don't exactly know who she was and were slightly curious. Rob soon finished eating his beefjerky as he crumbled up his wrapper stuffing it into his pocket.

Then he put his hands together studying the girl and he came up with something.

"Let me guess that girl who was a grimm hybrid if I recall?"rob asked with the girl nodding.

"Yeah…right now shes back in menagerie with her aunt. Apparently she living in an orphanage run by Zane mom"miyuki begun with Tia chuckling a little.

"Whats so funny about that?'akasha quesitoend sternly

"Oh nothing, i'm not surprised she opened an orphanage. Her and some huntresses she knew back in the day helped orphanages or something. Apprnetly she put some of her winning toward orphans around remnant"tia replied

"Aww that's a little sweet, although back to miyuki story"jae added turning their attention to the girl.

Miyuki sighed as she rubbed her wrist staring at them, she closed her eyes taking a deep breath. Then she took a deep breath letting it out.

"Piper….me and her sister..eden were kidnapped a couple years back. Some guys ambushed us and killed our escorts. Both their parents were killed while my grandmother got hurt. But after a bit of time she passed away"miyuki begun gripping her right wirst tightly.

"Then after that we were taken…to some…screwed up lab. They would..take anyone who didn't have a semblance. After that they returned all feral and stuff. Piper would come back scared…anger and savage. Eden managed to clam her down and it was like this for two years"miyuki continued

"Two year's jesus how did you guys escape from that hell hole"Rob questioned a little concerned.

Miyuki gripped her arm tight as she shocked taking a breath. Her entire bodie felt like she was on edge. Because sometimes she gets nightmares about the place. Akasha noticed the girl's plea and rested a hand on her shoulder.

Miyuki looked up smiling a bit as she clamed down. She she began to tell the day her, eden and piper escaped from that lab.

Two years ago somewhere in remnant.

Sirens and alarms could be heard in a white corridor. Shouting and gunfire could be heard in the hallways. The corridors where filled with dead bodies in white paitent uniforms. Bullet casing and pools of blood covered the floorl.

"Security to sector three"an intercom said loudly several times repeating multiple times.

The walls had a bloody hand print from a soldier reaching for an alarm. In the halls several people in patient gowns ran through the halls breathing. They were sprinting to get away from the approaching guards behind them

Miyuki carried a pistol in her hand as she sprinted for her life. As she did she turned around firing off some shots toward the guards. One of her bullets hit one in the leg. He fell down and groaned as a couple stopped to help him.

She smield as the group continued to run down the hall. Their were eight in total in their small prison escape group. Two of which were people she knew.

One was piper who had a dirty white patients suit as she was being carried by her older sister. Eden was breathing heavy holding her little sister close to her. She was a little taller than miyuki and her hair was brown and long that reached her back. Her eyes were dark pink and she had on a patient pant and shirt like her. Although her build was pretty slender despite being here.

The other with them were other test subjects as they ran through the halls. Some notable ones was a man who had not shirt on. He wrapped a shrit around his right arm that had a bullet wound in it. He seemed quite toned and had tan skin. His head was shaved but he had a brown beard around his face with grey eyes.

He turned around firing at the soilders chaisng them spraying a hail of bullets to them.

"Come on you sons of bitches come get some"he screamed

"Dammit Eric get down before they kill you"A women said as they continued running down the hall.

The man known as eric kept firing at the guards looking at the group. Then he stood he ground as he fired off several shots at the group of guards pursuing them. He looked at a fire extinguisher cloe by smiling. He took aim shooting it as it expldoed a thick mist sprayed at the guards covering them in flame retardant.

Eric then pvioted his feet as he ran to join the others.

The group kept running until they got to a receptionist desk it seems. Miyuki smiled which meant they were close to escaping the lab. Once they got to the doors a man with glasses pulled out a small device. It looked like a makeshift decoder it seems.

He ripped open the panel on the door that lead to their freedom. He grabbed a few wires and plugged them into the device. He impatiently tapped his foot as the device began to work on unlocking the door.

"Ughh can;t that thing go any faster?"Miyuki questioned as her Eric and two others watched their backs.

"Hey sorry you try making a device that can hack door panels with nothing but scrap. Your lucky I got assigned to work in waste management"he retorted as he began working on the device

Present

"So wait you guys planned a prison break thats cool….sorry"jae quickly said

"Though how exactly did you pull that off there must have been alot of people their to do it"tia pointed out.

Miyuki shook her head to the group as she looked down rubbing her wrist a little.

"Yeah…their was maybe sixty of us their and we started a riot. We fought through the facility and most of them didn't make it. But right when we reached that door everything went bad"miyuki said continuing her story.

Two years ago lab

They waited for the decoder to get done with opening the door .Miyuki and eric stared down the hallway ready for anything. Then from the hallway they heard several footsteps approaching them. They all looked at each other worried about what will happen.

Eric nodded as three other took cover behind a corner wall and receptionist desk. They flipped it over and readied themselves to defend their position. As they sat their for what seemed like forever. Soon enough several soldier with red talons on their arm emerged from down the hall way.

They had shield up and form behind the others shot at them. A hail of bullets came toward them and they took cover. But one of them wasn't quick enough as he got hit in the head. He fell down dead to the ground with a bullethole in his forehead.

Miyuki looked at the lifeless body infront of her and she looked away. She lifted her hand from behind the desk firing back at them. The soilder kept advancing on them shooting at them. While they did the guy with glasses was looking at the decoder getting close to being done.

"We're almost their just–"he begun before he was cut off. Miyuki and eric looked to see the man slumped against a wall. The wall behind him was stained behind him and covered in blood. His eyes were lifeless and Eden took cover with them behind the desk. She held piper close covering her eyes.

"Don't look piper close your eye"eden said to her little sister who was scared.

Eric peaked out of cover firing at the guards several times. But then he got hit in the shoulder as his arm was bleeding. Miyuki eye went wide to examine it. Eric groaned in pain as she touched his shoulder. Miyuki recoiled a little peaking behind their cover.

The soldier soon made it into the room they were in. They shot at a women faunus who got caught off guard by them. They filled her with bullet as she landed on the ground with a thud. She was dead and she looked to be scared when she died.

Another man fired at them before he heard a click from his weapon. He gritted his teeth before rushing foward at the men. The man lifted his gun to bash them with the rifle stock. But the men lfited their rifles shooting him dead as well.

The remianing four sat behind the desk hoping their death would be quick. But then a dinging sound could be heard and the doors light went from red to green. They all went wide eyed ready to run for it. But as they did bullets came at them and they took cover again.

Eric gritted his teeth before looking at the girl.

"You three make a run for it i'll hold them off"eric said as he was ready to break from cover.

"No we can all make it….were so close"miyuki begged but the man smiled as he gave a thumbs up to them.

"Don't worry you kids get out of here…i'll make sure to hold them as long I can"eric said before the girls looked at him with somber looks. Miyuki clenched her fist and closed her eyes. Then she looked at the man before nodding to him.

Eric nodded before rushing out of cover with a warcry. He fired at the men as he ran for the side. As he did miyuki, eden and piper rushed out toward the exit. They made it outside and it was snowing it seems. As they continued to run miyuki could hear a death scream and she closed her eyes crying.

The three continued sprinting into the wounds as the soldiers gave chase. They ran for what seemed like miels through the dense forest. They were barefoot and it freezing. As they continued to run more soon enough a loud shot rang out.

Eden's eyes went wide as she fell down on the ground hard. Piper fell out of her arms and she looked toward her sister shaking her. Miyuki looked behind them and saw that she got hit in the leg. The white snow was painted with crimson red blood.

"Get up…get up"Piper kept shaking her sister who groaned as she held her leg.

"Dammit…they got me in the leg"eden groaned in pain as she propped herself near a tree.

Miyuki rushed over trying to pull eden up. But she was weak she could barley pick the girl up. Miyuki fell on her back breathing heavy. She got back up shivering due to the cold. She tired pulling eden up again but eden looked at her with a somber look.

"Miyuki….get piper out of her now"eden asked

"No..no..no i'm not leaving you behind we can make it…I can"miyuki began but eden stopped her putting a hand on her friend.

"Please…please protect my little sister…get her home"eden begged with tears in her eyes. Piper looked at her sister sad and hugged her tight. Eden returned it and soon stumbled getting up a little.

Then she looked toward the soilders advancing on them then the bear faunus looked at them. She then took off running to the side the beast she can. Piper tried to call out for her but Miyuki covered her mouth as they ran to hide behind some bushes.

As they sat their hiding the soldier emerged and saw the blood trial.

"The subject went this way hurry!"one of them shouted

The soldier then started to run deeper into the forest following the blood trial. They waited their for a bit then emerged from their spot. The two started to run the other way and as they did another shot rang out. Miyuki flincehd as birds in the tree moved around cawing in the sky. She was holding piper as they ran to somewhere to get back home.

Present

Miyuki finished telling the last part of her storie burying her face into her knees. The other looked at her a little surprised they told her something like that. Akasha frowned a little sighing and got up from her spot.

Then she took a seat next to the girl and miyuki looked at her. Akasha offered a hug and miyuki accepted it. The two stood their for what seemed like minutes as the others sat their silently. Soon enough miyuki and akasha let go of each other staring at each other.

"Thanks…for that"miyuki said as she wiped the tears from her face.

"Don't mention it….. Though seems like you two were close"akasha replied

Miyuki rubbed her eyes to get the tears out and sighed"yeah both of us knew each other when we were little. Though I feel bad for piper…we only escape so we didn't have to do those experiment anymore"miyuki said

Jae tapped her chin thinking about something and Rob noticed his friend pondering something it seems.

"Alright Jae what are you thinking about?"rob questioned.

"Hmm it just how did they do it exactly. Turn a human or faunus into a grimm….that impossible"jae said

"Really their a guy down their whos still asleep and is a giant monster staying with us"tia joked

"Hey just saying…however they figured out how to do it. Must be something pretty screwed up"jae replied

In zane mind he was sitting their infront of the second to last door he had to go through. From the information hes gathered this door is probably going to be around the hayley sisters. Which means he either has to fight them and confront them like he did with onxyia or something else.

But the last door did make him curious a little. It was his first letter in his name which meant the last obstacle he had to face was him. Which meant it was going to be a tough fight maybe.

As he sat their waiting for bane to show up he felt a presnance behind him. He sighed already knowing it was bane and waited for him to join him. Bane walked past him as he took a seat next too him.

"Hmm were almost done kid"bane said as he sat down.

"Yep…then where off to wherever it leads us to when where done"zane replied sighing and falling back to the ground staring at the ball of lights. This time it was getting closer to the ground this time but still far out of his reach.

He moved his hand to cover it and moved it out of the way. Zane then turned his head to the side to look at Bane staring at him.

"So question?"zane questioned looking at the copy.

"What question do you have for me now?"bane replied

"What will happen when that ball of light reaches the ground and why is the last door have my first initial?"zane asked

Bane sighed because he asked two question but his so called conscious or whatever relented it seems.

"Thats two questions…but i'll allow it since were getting close to our goal."bane replied as he turned toward him.

"You see that ball of light is our way out of here. Once were done here you can escape. "Bane answered the first question.

"Alright….thats good I guess but why would you stay here?"zane asked

"Ah ah that another question do you want to answer that one or the other one?'bane replied wagging his figner at zane.

Zane took a deep breath as he thought of his next action carefully. He wanted to know what the door was but he could probably guess what it menas. While he also wants to know what this copy means by him staying so he can escape.

"Fine answer the one about me escaping and you staying…please"Zane replied

"Alrighty then…you see I don't know if you figured this out yet. But your in a coma kid"bane said

"Wow I couldn't tell….actually wait, my theory was that I died. So i'm alive?"zane replied a little disppoined and shocked

"Yes, although you seem disappointed, why?"bane questioned.

"It just…I thought I died in that city. I stayed behind so I could redeem myself maybe…for what I did to penny"zane replied

"Look kid…you can serve your time after were done here. But don't you wanna check on your friends to see if their alive"bane said knowingly to him.

Zane shook his head at that answer and bane smiled.

"Yeah I do, I miss them alot right now. But they also probably hate my guts right now. Though once I find them i'll make it up to them"zane replied as bane smiled a little answering another question.

"But for why I can't leave, apparently it's meant for you i'm already apart of you and I don't need to leave. So yeah…you ready?'bane questioned

Zane slowly got up and walked toward the door. As he reached for the door he could feel cold and hot air off it. He recoiled his hand a little but he stared at ready to end this thing. As he gripped the door handle pulling it forward the bright light washed over him again.

Soon enough after a few minutes he arrived in his next destination. Their he was in the emerald forest but is was also mixed with the dorms rooms for some reason. On his right side the forest was on fire and had an orange hazy sky.

But the dorm room halls were frozen over with ice hissing off them. Along with the roof missing and showing the sky being light blue. But both of them seemed to end at each other like their split off.

"Hmmm guess this Eria and Rogue little room for us"zane said as the two began to walk down the path. As they did the ice cracked under their steps and their was lava on the ground. But for some reason it didn't hurt them at all.

"Seems so their the sisters if I recall yes?'bane said

Zane nodded his head as the two continued to walk down the path. As they did soon enough zane relized something weird this time. As they walked he looked into the forest and the dorm room doors. The doors were opened and they had him along with his teammates their. But to his right was his first meeting with Rogue.

"Looks like….some memories are playing for this one"bane pointed out

"Seems so weird that onxyia door didn't do that though"zane added

The memories playing right now where his first meeting with them sort of. He remember the day rogue landed on him during initiation. That time he was looking for jaune but he relzied he already had a partner.

Then from the sky came the lovable blonde tinker of his team. She seemed clumsy at first but she grew on him. He was happy to be his partner but she probably really hurt for what happened. She lost her uncle and her partner the same day. He may be alive for some reason but she probably thinks hes dead.

Then he looked at his interaction with Eria in the dorms. How the girl thought he was a pervert at first. He smiled thinking about that day because she may have been right. But he got to thinking and hoped she made it out vale. He hoped winter found her in time and got her out of their.

The two continued to walk down the path to wherever it lead them.

Well seems the group have an actual chance on escaping this grimm city now. But they'll need to use that ittle gadget to boost the radios signal to be resqued. While zane faces the second to last door before the final door in his journey. Till next time!
