Chapter 1
'Damn it'
Heavy metal footsteps thumped on stone pavement
'If only I was stronger'
A large metal hand reaches outs and grabs a stone pillar, swinging a large figure around a corner.
'If only had I listened…'
a once beautiful flowing golden mane, now dirty and stuck to a sweating forehead.
'I swear on my life…i, Reinhardt Wilhelm, will honor you all to the end!'
a sliver behemoth smashes through a stone wall.
'That I promise!'
Somewhere in the upper atmosphere
"Ow… ow… ow… ow…"
Lemme tell ya, falling from out of orbit into a controlled decent is not fun. Sure the view was pretty for a good few minutes or so, but when everything started to heat up and I started to glow reddish orange is when I regretted everything.
"Ow dammit, system can't you… I don't know turn of pain receptors or something? This is getting annoying." didn't really hurt per say, more like I was constantly getting pinched but at the speed of fuckin light.
~Negative, pain receptors are a necessary function for a living being. To turn off said receptors would stunt growth and increase risk of mental instability~
Fuckin a. so I just had to suck it up? Fine, but this damn trip better be worth it. I really wanted to test my armaments and see how much fire power I had. 'Though I gotta make sure N-TD stays off' I thought, even though I don't know how to actually go into destroy mode, I'd rather not have it turn on anyway.
With the omnic crisis and all that crap, appearing in the middle of a firefight as big white robot glowing blue pretty much screams ~i'm big death machine, I go brrrr~. Plus, it goes against the whole anonymous persona idea that I had cooking up.
You see, as much as I love the characters of overwatch and the lore, I didn't want to be involved into the canon as much as possible. The Omnic crisis? Yea its canon but I'm using it a stepping stone to let the world know I at least existed and was present in the war. But instead of being like soldier 76 aka jack Morrison and being a prominent war hero, I'd be the worlds hidden boogie man.
I'd appear either mid battle or right as is begins and let my presences be known. Probably play a musical cue or something to scare everybody shitless. Beat whoever's ass I needed to beat, then book it outta dodge so that nobody could question me or gain any info/intelligence.
Pretty full proof, If I say so myself! But yea, after the Omnic crisis I'm just gonna disappear. Sure I'd be missing Overwatch's golden age, but that's a problem in it self. Overwatch's golden age could also be considered its darkest, a prelude to the worst to come if you will. And when the chips fall and the walls crumble down I ain't gonna be there. Ima just be living it up in japan, in the countryside minding my own beeswax.
~Be advised, you are exiting re-entry speeds and shall reach your destination in seven minutes~
'Seven minutes huh? Man gotta love being a death machine' in the distance I could see the Castle of Eichenwalde, was cool to see it. But the actual feeling of knowing this wasn't a dream was surreal.
"Well, time to make an entrance! And I just know how to do it…"
*Cut here*
"Barrier is failing!" as my shield crumbled into nothingness I turned grabbed the other two member of my squad and shielded them. I could feel my armor start to buckle from the barrage that was hitting my back.
'Think Wilhelm! What would Balderich do!?' the hail of bullets increased as another platoon of bastion unit arrived. My armor, as strong as it was, couldn't handle the excessive damage and started to give. "Argh!" I cried out. The bullets actually starting to get through my armor.
There was no way I was making it out of here, but… my comrades could probably make it if I bought them a little time. I needed to find them cover but where?
"Argh!" dammit, I felt that one. Frantically looking around I couldn't see anything. No walls, no cars, not even a boulder in sight. We were too in the open to find any cover and my shield had overloaded. I zoned out mid thought, trying to come to a solution but no matter how hard I tried to think, we were out of options. But my musing was cut short by my ally.
"do you hear that?" he asked and at first I was confused. Why ask that while we were getting pummeled by bullets for bastions. And It clicked.
Their where no more bullets, no more sounds of turrets whirling, and no more sounds of metal footsteps. Just the sound of confused and frantic beeping?
Turning around, we witnessed a sight that had never been recorded before. The omnics who had previously stood emotionless and attacked us without hesitation. Looked frantic, confused, and dazed even. Beeps and chirps came out faster than ever previously recorded, as if they were all conversing with each other.
"What is happening?" Asked our our wounded comrade, and honestly I didn't know either.
"I don't know, its as if they're… confused?."
But as much as I wanted to watch and figure out what was going on, I needed to take this chance to escape and find cover for my allies and myself.
I grabbed our wounded comrade, carefully picking up him in my left arm arm while i tossed the other soldier over my right shoulder. And I ran.
I sprinted as fast as I could and hid into one of the closest abandoned buildings, ducking behind the counter, hoping that the Omnics didn't follow.
Taking a few seconds to catch my breath, I looked over the counter and saw… nothing? I guess the Omnics were still outside fumbling about. But that still didn't ease my worries.
"Alright, it seem like the Omnics are preoccupied." I softly spoke to my comrades.
"I don't know for how long though. So we must recuperate quickly, before they start hunting us again."
I turned away from the counter to face the remaining members of my squad. And I felt more of a fool then ever looking at them.
The heavily wounded soldier had bandages covering his eyes and bloodied rags and holes around his body. I feared that his wounds would take him from us before we could find help.
The other member looked as if he was on his last legs. Dark bags under his eyes and an intense shaking of the body showed signs that he was close to a mental breakdown.
And I had left them to fend for themselves whilst looking for glory like fool.
"G-go w-where! T-there Omnic's E-everywhere, they'll g-gun us down b-before we even l-leave this b-building." spoke the trembling man, and he was honestly right.
"You are right to be afraid comrade, however If we do not take this chance. I fear we may never leave here alive."
Looking back over the counter, I peered through one of the windows and spotted the group of bastions. Still fumbling about, however some were looking up to the sky. I didn't matter though, this was our chance
"Hmmm. They are still acting funny, this our chance. Hurry! While they are-"
"Wait!"
I stopped and looked to our blinded comrade.
"What is it Comrade Detlef?
"Do you hear that?"
Did i hear what? Besides the faint noise of the bastions feet hitting the floor and the occasional beeps, I really didn't hear anything else.
"I do not comrade" I said looking towards him. "What do you hear exactly?"
He sat in silence for a few more seconds before tilting his head to the right a bit.
"I sound like… whistling? Like... fast moving winds?"
What? Whistling… and moving winds? That didn't make any sense at all.
"Comrade are you-"
all of a sudden he starts frantically swirling his head around, as if trying to look at where ever the supposed noise was coming from.
"Yes! Yes im sure! And what ever it is its coming Quickly!"
Damn it all, we didn't need this now.
"I can hear it now too" our trembling comrade spoke. And all of a sudden I could too.
It was loud and thunderous. The building itself began to shake from the intensity of whatever was coming this way. Big Pieces of debris began to fall from the buildings collapsed ceiling.
"Get below me quickly!"
Grabbing Detlef as the other man crawled under me, I looked up one last time, through the open ceiling this time and saw a red fiery blur streak towards the streets outside.
And with loud deafening boom. The whole area shook while a large dust cloud misted the area
My only thought in that moment was 'God help us now'
I landed on the ground in the most coolest superhero pose ever. I mean don't get me wrong, my knees hurt like a motherfucker. But hey, practice make perfect.
Looking up from my cool ass pose, I see that the area was enveloped in a dust cloud. Whoops, but hey, maybe I could use this to my advantage. Sending a quick sonar ping I was given the image of where everybody was.
Thanks to using Sonic imaging, I could perfectly see through the giant dust cloud that I made. If i could describe it, it would be like looking through the eyes of a byakugan user. Everything black and white with see through and all. It was pretty dope.
But now that could see, I had a nice view of the group of bastions I was gonna scare shitless. And I could also see a Younger Reinhardt hiding in one of the building. Hi Reinhardt!
But getting back on track, it was time for serious mode.
Now it was time for my 'TRUE' entrance. I slowly stood up and used [Mass Reformat] to change my size from a simple 7'4 to an astounding 12 ft. I need to make myself the most intimidating as possible.
So I also picked a video that played one of the most unnerving noises I've ever heard.
The familiar sound of a ticking Grandfather clock could be heard throughout the abandoned streets and buildings. My external speaker blaring at their most maximum setting for extra effectiveness.
Everyone and everything instantly got defensive. The bastion's either turned into their turret forms or simply readied their A-32 sub-machine guns. Reinhardt and his remaining two allies hunched closer, readying themselves in case they needed to run to safety.
I slowly extended my right hand forward, and as the Clock rung its creepy bell. I waved the dust cloud away and stood in all my glory.
The area was silent.
Nobody moved.
Nobody spoke.
The bastions stood there, collectively questioning and relaying there answers to each other. Trying to discern if I was friend or foe.
The Germans… had their gobs smacked wide open. Probably astonished by what they were seeing.
Shit I would be too. Seeing me in-
~Warning: IVF signal detected. The Omnic units wish to converse. Do you accept?~
They wanna talk huh? Alright patch them through.
~Accepting~
Hopefully I don't get the whole 'Join us or die' garbage. That might be wishful thinking on my part though.
~Connection established~
{Interloper! Unit Identify!}
Okay, already off to a shakey start.
[Classified. Query: Purpose of assault?]
{The Organics seek to be the dominant species of this world. However they can not compare to our god Anubis!}
God anubis? Why are they speaking like...
Ah shit. This wasn't a simple Uprising like the lore said it was, it was a damn religious crusade. I was talking to a god damn Zealot. And I knew exactly what it was going to say next.
{Bow down to our Lords command. Or perish as a stepping stone to our golden future.}
Yea fuckin right. Ain't no religious simp, I got one god and its the ankle breaker himself. Jesus A fuckin Christ.
[Rejection.]
Watch, there instantly gonna retaliate in…

BOOM! There it is.
In a fiery blaze of glory, one of the bastion unit ignited in an electronic blue flare. Most likely the unit who was speaking to me. Not anymore If 'System' had anything to say about it.
The unit burned to the floor while the other moved to avoid being melted down from the intensity of the heat. However that seemed to spark something in them, cause all of them were either transforming into there turret modes or aiming their guns at me.
I chuckled at that, these fools still anted to dance? Fine, lets Tango.
I slowly turned my head left and right, surveying all the Omnics in the area. 23 in total, Piece of cake for the RX-0. I then Spoke.
"Hear me, you blind fools. You follow the words of a Usurper. A False Idol."
I bent my elbow and raised my right arm in-front of my face.
"Let me show you… That there is no strength in a False God"
In an instant, I shot my arm down to my right and my Beam ton-fa flipped out.
"That the strength you parade is fleeting. For you shall know me as…"
The Beam Saber ignited in all its pink glory.
"...Bellcross, your destroyer!"
Yo! been a minute. Honestly life been a bitch, but hey. Keep on going and you'll eventually get to where your going.
When the next chapter will be out? Idk, I'm just winging it with these stories. However I will atleast try to put some effort into atleast properly continuing this one.
Also, take a guess where the 'Creepy grandfather clock' comes from.
But thats it. I'll see yall later.
