Christmas Special: Cultivating at Hogwarts
Hi everyone I had typed this up a while back, around the time I started theory crafting Age of Cultivation. This was actually my first set of notes for what would become this story you will be able to tell that it took a major shift.
You will likely note its just a bunch of thrown together shorts from the same universe I figured since I had it typed up I could do a quick read and edit before throwing it up as a Christmas behind the scenes gift.
Prewritten stuff
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Cauldron
The story begins exactly like the general Harry Potter story begins and follows Harry Potter canon until it comes time for Hagrid to show up and give Harry his Letter.
Wham...
Wham... The door flew off its hinges before bashing itself upon the wall on the opposite side of the building. Harry could feel the building he was in shudder under the impact and he worried for a moment if the building would collapse on his head. From the darkness a truly gargantuan man stepped inside.
"Ah there you are Harry. Looking a little peckish I believe." Harry's mind ground to a halt at the words coming from the man. He had expected many things but this wasn't one of them.
"What who goes there. Who are you" Uncle Vernon exclaimed as he barged into the room. In his hands a shotgun Harry had never seen before pointed at the man.
"Oi budge over you ole prune." The man claimed grabing the gun from his hands before bending it into the shape of a pretzel with his bare hands. "Anyway Harry I am here to give you your letter to Hogwarts Sect of Qi and Cultivation."
"He won't be going. I swore when I saw him that he would never step on that path and I stand by it." Aunt Petunia spoke up. "That path took my sister from me and I won't have anyone else walk it."
"To bad you don't get a choice He has been down to go since he was born." With a wave of his hand Dudley who was attempting to reach for a package the large man had sat down was flung across the room. The Dursleys fearing for their sons safety and their own quickly retreated into the little room they had claimed for themselves.
"I would be mighty proud if you wouldn't mention what you just saw Harry. I was supposed to be crippled when they kicked me outta Hogwarts but my Giant bloodline raises my constitution to much for what they did to take. Anyway here you go." The large man passed Harry a letter that for the longest time he had been trying to read. Upon opening it Harry was met with the sight of the letter head.
Hogwarts Sect of Qi and Cultivation.
The trip to Diagon goes mostly the same with a few differences. The book list is a good bit different based on differing classes from the normal. Owls are considered Low Grade Spirit beasts that have been raised to deliver letters worldwide. He gets Hedwig as normal and a bond begins between then. Olivander is an Artificer and every student is required to get a Cultivation Focus to assist in their Cultivation early in their Cultivation. He ends up getting one that is a brother to the one Voldemort got when he started Hogwarts.
The ride to Hogwarts and the sorting goes as normal with edits for Cultivation focus the Sorting goes the same as well. The only big change starts occuring when he gets his class list. Classes are changed
Transfiguration is hanged to Cultivation Basics
Charms is changed to Martial Training where Flitwick is seen as a Master Martial Artists because of his Goblin Bloodline
Potions is Alchemy
Herbology is still Herbology same with the other first year classes.
(Even though it hasn't been seen in this year Care of Magical Creatures is called Spirit Beasts and where to find them or some other name close to that)
The school year goes on as normal with Harry and co building their cultivation. At the end of the year the normal stuff happens but we find out that Quirrell has been taken over by the demonic cultivation of Voldemort. Second year we find that Slytherin was a Demonic Cultivator that passed down knowledge on how to cheat death to his descendants and part of thats the Diary.
In third year students are allowed to enter the outer part of the Forbidden Forrest and hunt the weaker Spirit Beasts and hunt for weaker Spirit Herbs.

Current Time
It was after I had this typed out that I realized I did not enjoy the idea of all the Wizard being cultivators. I would have had to figure out details on how I want the cultivation levels to go and how to try and balance them from year to year. So it was here that I decided to toss that idea. I also had at this point the idea that I wanted all the sentient creatures to be just Bloodlines that cultivators had but that idea quickly fell out of my head as it would mean there was way to many.
I still had an outline after this where a Qi wielding harry went to Hogwarts where his magic got turned into Qi but I couldn't figure out how that would work.
It was then that I read a different Harry Potter fic where a few things happened that had me swapping gears on the whole thing. Some ideas I kept in which you might see later but a good 95% of my ideas I had at the beginning got cut and changed. It was also after this that I really jumped on the whole Evil Dumbledore thing. In the Initial version it was set to run pretty much parallel to the books with just a Qi setting instead of Magic.
In the end I believe the changes I made is for the better. Now I will reply to some comments some people have posted from both Ao3 and Fanfiction

take your time and consult your notes regularly. they will help keep you on track for how you want the story to move forward.
As you can tell I do keep some notes and keep an eye on them I like to notate a lot of what I have planned.

I'm enjoying the story. I always been a fan of wuxia and Xianxia. There is another story of harry potter mixed with Xianxia but it hasn't updated in a while. I can't wait for an more experienced Harry mess with Voldemort, albus, and other people plans and those who knew of Qi and cultivation.
Yeah I am 100% looking forward to Harry messing with the people at Hogwarts and yes your correct he will run into some people in the future that do know about Cultivation that are in the west.

Thanks for the chapter i Like the fact that you could technically use the Symbol of the Deathly Hallows to represent the Cultivation Realm of Transcendent. While i am certain the Realm beyond it is just a longer Line going Out the top representing the exceeding of all limitations. Certainly the Stone Symbol is perfect for the Nascent Soul Realm in this context.
Body Purification (weak Cloak)
Core Formation (weak Wand)
Qi Condensation (Foundation) Wand and Cloak
Qi Fusion (strong Cloak)
Element Formation (strong Wand)
Nascent Soul (weak Stone) combining all three
Transcendent (strong Stone) harmonizing all three
Exceed (perfected Union between Cloak (Body), Wand (Mind), Stone (Spirit, Soul))
Beyond that Harry could Just continue to improve. I believe Voldemort and Dumbledore both cultivate and are forever stuck at Peak Nascent Soul cause of their abuse of Dark Magic changing their Stone and as such making harmonizing almost Impossible for Dumbeldore and Impossible for Voldemort cause of the Missing)dead Soul Piece (Horcrux) that left Harry.
Have to say you have been here about as long as Gryffindorforever4242 has and you always have some fun ideas running through your head. I will say this the 3 hallows will have a roll to play but they won't be anything as big as your putting out. As for Voldemort and Dumbledore Cultivating its a possiblitiy but there could be other ideas as well.

Its been great guys and gals. I truly enjoy the positivity that has been coming in from all of you. I am off work for a few weeks while we are shut down for Christmas so expect a few chapters coming out in the future.
