In the last chapter we saw eria finally go through with the surgery of obtaining her new leg after being without one for so long. Chapter 7 Teal:Celebration
In the city of argus the sun was starting to set right now as the sky was in an orange haze right now. Along with that at the hayley residents it seems everyone was waiting in anticipation right now. They were all in the living room of the house waiting their. Apollo came by since he closed up shop a little early today.
Calida was busy making some food for tognith witht he help of thetis and surpignyl willow. Despite being someone from a high class life style. The women seems to knew her way around the kitchen.
"Are you sure you don't want ut to do this "thetis aksed as she was putting something in the oven.
"Yeah no offense but don't you usually have someone do this for you"apollo hesitantly asked
Willow sighed"i'm not like every person in atlas, i may live a lavish lifestyle. But i still tend to get messy at times"she replied
"That surprising though…whats taking them so long"calida said with worry as she was letting something sit as it cooled down. It looked to pasta from the looks of it, the women was worried if the surgery went okay.
"Relax dear their probably getting discharged right now"tempstas assured as she still kept an eye on wren and melody who were in the living room watching some tv.
"Yeah though their also stuck their with your husband rattling off everything in that prosthetic of his"apollo said knowingly as they laughed a little at that. Calida knew her husband was a weapon nerd and mechanic junkie. But it was cute seeing him act like that sometimes
"Maybe your right…but i'm also happy my little girl will be walking again"calida said smiling
"Then tonight a celebration, though where are my other two children"willow said as they didn't know where whitley and weiss where right now. But they were probably packing everything up at thetis house for when weiss leaves.
Though in thetis house right now weiss was in the room that the nikos den mother provided to her. She was with her brother right now as she was tending to his back. The older sister had a small cotten ball out as she was patting down her brother back.
Because she was helping him with the deep scar and cuts on his back from their father previous punishment. It was almost months ago, she worried what exactly happened this time for him to receive this.
"Oh whitley what happen?"weiss asked as she threw away a bloody cotton ball in a trash can nearby.
Then she reached into a small medkit close by as she pulled a bottle of disinfectant out. She then popped the cork as she dumped it onto a small clothe and quickly closed it. Then she gently moved it across his back as it closed up the pervious cuts. He winced a little but as he hung his head down.
"Its..nothing dear sister…just father getting mad for the career i wanna pursue"whitley replied
"Wait, your actually going through with becoming a doctor?"Weiss asked smiling a little.
Her younger brother talked about how he wanted to become a doctor in the future. Like their mother because he wanted to help treat people injuries in the future. He didn't really wanna run the family business. Her mother supports it though her father despises it.
Whitley nodded"yes, when i told him about it. He got mad we went back and forth for a bit. He got too close and…"whitley started but weiss finished
"You shoved him didn't you?"she asked knwoignyl as whitely nodded
Weiss continued to treat her brothers injuries as she soon grabbed a medical pad. She then placed it onto his back where the cuts where. Though she needed to use five of them to cover it. After she was done she picked up everything, throwing away the used equipment and supplies.
Whistley had his shrit off as he carefully slipped it back on, then after five minutes they cleaned everything up. The two schnee siblings where busy cleaning the room up a little because it was common courtesy as guest.
Whitely sighed"i did shove him though…after sending that message to you he was furious"whitley said as weiss went wide eyed from that.
Is he referring to when he told her about the attempted kidnapping attempt. She worried what extactly happened to him and wren. Part of her hoped that devil of a father of hers didn't find out.
"What…what happen…did he hurt you?"She asked with saddeness on her face.
Whitletly lowered his head"he..he did"he replied nervously
Weiss walked over to him as she placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked at her with a somber look as she felt guilty for him and wten having to go through this.
"How'd he find out?"she asked
"Apperently from a conversation klein overheard before he brought him something to eat. He overheard him talking to those assassin he hired. The man known as said he saw you. "Whitley begun as weiss looked down with regret on her face.
"Then later that day…mother was at the hospital doing a daily insepction for the place. He..he said that since me and him got involved in an important business deal. The one who did it would receive twenty lashes"whitley said as weiss went wide eyed because she knew who received it.
She couldn't help but feel responsible for what happened to her little brother. Before whitley knew it his older sister pulled him into an embrace holding him tight. Whitley was caught off guard by this but he returned the embrace.
"I'm sorry…i' so sorry for letting him see me"weiss softly apolgized
"Its..fine…you couldn't hav–"he begun but she stopped him.
"No its not fine, i'm your older sister and i should be their for you when things like that happen. "She started as she let him go as she had small tears on her cheek.
The ice queen of beacon was upset hearing that still, her own father doing that for an attempting failed kidnapping. The heirness to the SDC comapny was anger at herself for not being their.
"I wish our grandfather never gave him the company, maybe then our name wound't be slandered by him. He should be in jail for whats he done, attempted kidnapping, slaver, tradding of illegal goods and…child abuse"weiss added as she shook in rage a little.
"Maybe winter was right, he should be in a jail cell in Atlas"she finished as they sat their for a bit. After a bit of time whitley broke the silence between them.
"If he was in jail, he'd probably complain how dirty or cramped the cells were"he mentioned as she looked at him as he had a small smile on his face.
Weiss chuckled"along with saying don't put me near these faunus pest"she added as whitley chuckled.
"Their also him saying how he didn't do any of it"he added
"Really him running a black market isn't him doing it. Seriously i'm lucky he didn't find out about the one i stop back in vale"she added as whitley raised an eyebrow at this.
"You stopped one of those black markets he ran?"he asked as she nodded yes to him. She wondered what ever happened to the people their that went with that lynx faunus. The two siblings bantered for a bit discussing how terrible their father was. Though soon they decided to maybe return to the hayley residence.
Though in the streets of argus was eria as she did get used to her new leg. But she hasn't really walked that much because she was still getting used to having both her legs back. She still ocouldn't believe they were back.
Though a thought came through her mind what her other teammates would think about this. Her sister would probably wanna mod it for her and examine it. She imagined when her sister does see this she'll freak out over it. But hoped she'd be back soon and not end up a murdered
Then their was her partner Onxyia who will feel upset about what happened. Along with that she wondered if she heard of her loss of limb right now. But she just hoped she was dealing with the loss of their leader okay. Though the wolf faunus would be happy she got her leg back.
Their was zane who isn't around anymore. If he was here right now he'd probably make a ton of jokes and pun on her new leg. Along with that she kinda guessed if he heard who did it. He might go all serious and hunt down rosemary. But she knows he gone and just hopes he in a better place.
But for tanner he'd probably say how awesome it was and call her peg leg or something. The guy was an idiot at times but he'd freak out about. Porbbaly ask her if her dad added a bunch of stuff to it. She wouldn't mind hearing that idiot scream his lungs out right now.
Lastly their was pyrrha, she probably be upset seeing her loss of limb. Along with trying to make her look toward the positives no matter what. The girl was always so caring to them and it was nice having someone that was like a sibling to her and rogue.
Though she was deep in thought as someone called out to her.
"Yo snow angel you their?"perun asked as he wheeled her toward her house.
"Oh uh yeah just stil thinking about this"she replie gesturing toward her prosthetic leg.
"I'll bet weird seeing you with both legs now kinda"slater added
"Don't worry dear you'll get used to it, first thing tomorrow i'll sign you up for a therapy class. You need to get back to full strength from the last two weeks"jaki pointed out
Her father was right if she wanted to be at full strength she needed to train from the last two weeks. Along with getting usedto walking around again. With her father and others help it could help with the process.
"Despite that were back, oh man everyone gonna flip out when they see your leg"netpune said as they got to the hayley residents. Eria could see several people moving around in the house through the window. She was mentally preparing herself for her mother to scream her lungs out in joy.
"Seems like their a party inside"orchie pointed out as they wheeled her up the small ramp.
"Well snow angel got her leg back so yeah"perun added smiling because he was happy she got her leg back.
Soon enough jaki walked toward the front door as he produced a key. Then he placed it in the door unlocking it. The group then walked into the house as eria was first one in. immedialty everyone turned toward the front entrance as they looked at her.
Calida looked over at her daughter as she walked over quickly. Immediately she pulled her daughter into a loving embrace as eria face was pulled into her chest.
"Oh my baby has both her legs i'm so happy"She squealed as eria sat their emotionless like usual.
"Yes, guess now i can stop walloring around the house all pathetic like"eria said coldly as calida smiled laughing a little letting her go.
"Back to your old emotionless self sweetie"She said as the girl was wheel in as the other followed her. Once inside eria saw some plates at the table already set with food on the counter.
"Wow you guys made a feast for her getting a let"neptune joked a little as he took a seat on the couch.
Apollo snickered as he leaned in his seat"why wouldn't we though aren't you two and ame heading to haven tomorrow"he pointed out as neptune and perun went wide eyed. They totally forgot about that and have nothing packed for tomorrow at all.
"Ah crap"perun said
"Swear"melody and wren said in unison pointing at the two. Everyone stood their for a bit before laughing a little at the sight.
Weiss giggled a little"yes, we don't use that type of harsh and barbaric language here"she stated
"My sister is right we should be proper when hosting a celebration like this"whitley added smiling
Willow sighed as she cross her arms under her bust" alright stop, tonight enough with the formalities. Even I can relzie that tonight isn't just some fancy event. Enjoy yourself your little brother is"willow said gesturing toward wren.
The younger schnee was reaching for the giant mace on the mantle. Immediately jaki went wide eyed as he rushed over pulling the young shcnee away lifting him up.
"Ughh don't let him near that please"he said with a sadden expression as whitley walked over pulling wren away.
"Why? Is that one of your magnum opious?"willow asked softly as the room got queit for abit. Everyone looked down at a little because that was jaki brother mace. The only thing that remains of his older brother that he missed dearly.
"Umm not exactly its from someone he lost"tempstas stated sadly.
"Yeah good old infinity your knucklehead of a brother weapon"apollo added
"Oh you had a brother, where is he.."whitley begun but immediately stopped relziing his mistake as he bowed apolgizing.
"My apolgies was he someone you lost recently"he added
Calida shook her head"no drav been gone for about five years, the same day the fall happened"She sadly added
Willow closed her eyes" that is quite upsetting though i'm sure my son didn't mean any harm to it. Right sweetie?"willow asked gesutring toward wren who hung his head down.
"I'm sorry…it looked cool…i just wanted to look at it"wren softly said as no one could really get mad at the schnee child. Because he was on par with cuteness for ruby and velvet right now. Jaki sighed heavily as he walked into his workshop real quick. After a few minutes he remerged with a pair of gaunlents. Their were cylinders on each of them that seemed to be different types of dust vials.
"That fine my boy though…before dinner i'll show you something cool"he said as the group then walked outside following him. Once outside the frozen weaponsmith slipped on the gaunlents as he gripped the triggers.
"Okay if he blows up the neighborhood tonight i'm not paying for it"slater stated
"Yeah, also might wanna hide behind something"orchie added as she and slater were hiding behind a mailbox. Along with everyone else except for the confused schnee family.
"Umm why is it safe to use?"whitley nerovusly asked
Weiss laughed nervosuly"don't tell me he just like rogue with experimental weapons"weiss asked as eria stared blankly at her then nodded to her. Immediately weiss got behind a car with perun and eria. Willow picked up wren who was starry eyed as the two hide as well.
Calida sighed"jaki if you ruin our house your sleeping outside tonight"she warned
Jaki smiled"don't worry just something i've been working on"he said in confidence.
Soon enough he took aim as he pulled the triggers on the gaunlents. Immediately they each spewed a mix of elements it seems. From the one on his right he fired some water with the use of a water dust crystal. While from the left a small cyclone of wind. They watched as he raised his hands together combing the two elements. Then it created a small tornado of water and wind as they watched in amazement a little.
"Cool!"wren said excited as weiss smiled a little at that.
"Seriosuly jaki where do you come up with this stuff?"perun asked
Jaki laughed"i have alot of ideas in my head kid"he replied
Eria watched a little smiling because she was happy to have her leg back. But was also happy to have something like this. Though it will be hard to recover without her friends here. But she'll managed she just wanted to enjoy the show right now.
"Seems your husband loves you flash his product alot"willow said to calida who sighed smiling
"He does, but I sometimes wonder what he'll come up with next"she replied
"Yes, though yout other daughter shares that same spark"thetis added as calida looked down a little at that.
"Shes does…i heard that she even upgraded her entire teams gear. I hope she okay"calida added worried where her other daughter would be right now.
After about ten minutes of jaki little show, the group went back inside to have dinner for the night. They all talked about the good times they had over the years. Along with asking each other about what they'll be doing now. The schnee family stood out a little but to their surprise they adapted to it quickly.
"So you two and ame are heading to haven tomorrow?"thetis asked as she was rinsing off her plate.
"Yeah it slipped my mind since the last two days have pure chaos"perun replied
"Your not wrong but i thought haven would close down since the event in vale"willow asked confused why their still in session
"Hmm well shade had a small break, though heard mostly everyone from beacon is attending their"neptune added
"Really that means mostly all our friends are their then"Weiss said as she was finished with her food looking down. She didn't wanna leave just yet and wanted to stay one last night before bidding her other friends goodbye.
"It appears so, though in the coming weeks i'm expecting one of yout friends father to visit"jaki said as weiss and eria looked at each other guessing extactly who they meant.
"Will scarltina"they said in unison as they were conufsed by that a little but jaki nodded
"Oh i've heard of him, isn't he a scientist in atlas or something?"apollo asked
Willow tapped her chin"yes, he's been working on hardlight dust projects if i recall in the atlas miltary. Though i can't discuss further or i'd be giving away our kindgoms secrets"she said smiling
"What you making a doomsday weapon or something?"slater joked as he was playing go fish with melody, wren and whitely. Surprisngly the two kids of the group were beating them pretty bad. Though the two older boys were letting the two win since it made them happy.
"No, probably something to deal with the grimm or to protect the other kingdom if i'm guessing. "Willow replied
"Though despite that is getting late and this one gotta pack for tomorrow"tempstas said as she picked up melody as her and apollo took their leave. While perun stayed behind for a bit to check on eria before he left.
"Yeah we might as well split too i'm beat"slater added as him and orchie left the household bidding them goodbye.
"Yep, though you two gonna send us off tomorrow"neptune asked weiss and eria. Weiss looked down because she was going to be leaving tonight.
"Oh um i'm actually leaving tonight sorry"weiss replied sadly as her mother picked up on this. Then a thought came to willow as she looked at her daughter. It seemed she been enjoying herself her for the last two weeks.
"Yes, we must make it back to atlas tonight. Though it only a days for the journey"whitley added as he had a small suitcase in hand.
"You know, we could stay for the night until your friends leave tomorrow. Atlas isn't going anywhere"willow said to the surprise of the group actually.
"Umm you sure about that wouldn't you wanna get back since your company needs you"thetis pointed out.
"Shes right, wouldn't your husband be worried about you?"jaki asked as a few of them didn't really buy that jacque schnee would be worried about his family right now more like mad.
"Its fine, my husband will understand. My daughter seems to have enjoyed her time here and made several freinds. If she wants to say goodbye before they depart, he can wait one day"willow said as weiss smiled a little at that.
Then she looked at eria for a second then looked down at her new leg. She still felt a little guilty about her missing leg. But part of her was happy she managed to get it back.
"Okay..though i'll probably stay here tonight. Thetis only has one spare guest room…the other was her daughters"weiss replied
"Thats fine, you and your brother can stay here tonight. "Jaki offered as whitley was a little surpirsed by this but nodded thanking him. Soon enough everyone departed for their respective palace of dwelling. Perun bid eria goodbye for the night still smiling that she had her leg back finally.
It took her some time but eria walked up the stairs for the first time. She smiled a little as she had a couple slip ups but managed to reach her room. Weiss had to bunk with her for the night and she had to sleep in rogue bed.
"Well i guess we won't be seeing each other for a while after tomorrow"weiss stated as she already slipped into some pajamas already for the night.
"Yes, though I am going to miss my rival for the title of ice queen"eria replied already in bed as she was still shocked with her new leg. She was just admiring it right now along with the engraving on it happy her father did that for her.
Weiss giggled"same here..who knows maybe you'll dethrone me someday"weiss replied as she got into rogue bed but went wide eyed because she felt something poke her in the side.
She reached down as she pulled out a pencil from underneath the sheets"does she usually leave tools in her bed?"she asked eria who laughed
"Yes, don't be surprised to find a power drill, hammer or anything else she left in their"eria replied as she smiled a little.
Her twin sister would sometimes leave tools on her bed while she stayed up late into the night working on her projects. That why she always wore a sleep mask because the bright lights from the lamps or tools she was using. They do have their father work shop but he usually in their most of the time. But she missed having her here right now and was worried where she could be right now.
Weiss noticed eria looking upset about this as she decided to maybe give her fellow ice queen some hope.
"Look wherever she is i'm sure she'll be back here tinkering away soon"weiss reassured eria
"I know…but i just wish she didn't run away"eria started as she balled up a little shocked to be able to do this with both her legs now.
"Along with that saying how shes going to get payback for our friends we lost. I'm worried she's going to make the biggest mistake of her life on this little quest of hers"eria added
"Don't worry i'm sure jaune and the others will stop her. Though i do wonder what ruby and yang are up to…along with blake"weiss sadly replied hoping her three teammates where okay.
"Maybe your right…i just hope our other friends are okay. Though it time to get some sleep"eria said as weiss agreed they should get some sleep. Eria turned the lamp off in her room as she layed her ehad down. Soon enough she drifted off to a deep slumber for the night along with weiss. The ice queen was going to head back to atlas tomorrow and head back to that devilish father of hers.
But across the world right now in a far off city of mistral more importantly the new joint of one junior xiong. The man moved shop to a place in mistral where the illustrious academy of huntresses and huntresses reside. Though it was late into the night right now as the man was closing up shop. His boys were helping clean up fumbling around a little. But the man was happy since he moved shop.
Junior was counting his profit for the today, while close by where one of his two body guards for his fine establsihement.
The first was a girl who seemed twenty two with long black hair in a straight fringe that covers her eyebrows and she had pale greene ues. They were hgihtlight by the use of heavy makeup. Along with that her skin is pale and she has a slender frame to her. But she had a pair of black fox ears.
But on her feet she wears a pair of long white boots with blades attached to the heels. They seem to have small armor plates on the front side of the ankle. There are also small chains on them. The front foot pieces may have a small amount of armor as well it seems.
This is melanie malachite one of two twin daughter of little miss, also knwon as mel
The second girl was the same age as the melanie but her hair style in a short black bob style with straight fringe and pale green eyes. She hashighlights that are in heavy red makeup. Along with that she has pale white skin just like her twin sister. She has the same build just like her twin sister. But for her faunus trait was a black fox tail
Though on her hands were a pair of red and black claws that were large in length it seems. Theny seem to go up to about her forearm, with it housing about two claws each in equal size and shape. Along with their are spikes on the knuckles of the claws.
This is miltia malachite the second twin daughter of little miss, also known as mil
Both of them wore matching outfits since they were done for the night. Both wore a purple halter top, black cut off shorts, and a pair of mid calf boots. Along with a crop top jacket that was colored purple that showed their stomachs.
"Good work you two tonight, we've had no disruption as of late"junior complimented the twins
"Of course because were the best"meleanie replied
"If it weren't for us your place could be destoryed like last time"miltia added
Junior groaned because he recalled a certain blonde girl coming in wrecking his place last time. Though the second time she visited he was lucky she didn't cause a ruckus. Along with taking care of those white fang goons for her.
"Really? Because i recall that xiao long girl kicking you two butts"he retorted as the twin sister glared at him scoffing at the same time.
"Sorry mil and me didn't wipe the floor with her"meleanie replied
"Yeah, girl had an anger problem after someone grouped her"miltia added
"Your not wrong, though wonder if romans kids every got out of that dam city"junior stated because he kinda hoped they did. He heard from the grapevine that his son was in vacou right now. But that ice cream swirled girl hasn't been seen yet. Though his last kid and oldest has apparently been going around doing something.
"Oh you mean that lynx who drew on me and mel face as kids"miltia added with disgust
"Him and that tiger chick son drew on our faces while we hung out with zoey"meleanie added
Though from behind someone laughed at the two"oh man forgot about that, i recall you beating the crap out of vance and hanging Z upside down" a female voice said as the three turned toward the voice.
Their in front of them was the eldest of one roman torchwich, her hair was long being its same old color white. Along with it having the same black streak in it like usually. Though instead of her old attire she wearing something completely different
She now wears a pair of atheltic shorts that were black that showed most of her thighs. But she wore a pair of parkour legging that were blue in color with a singular swan wing on each thighs side. Along with that she wears an athletic tight fit shrit colored dark gray that is a crop top that shows her stomach off. She also wears her bomber jacket along with her outfit that is white in color. Their also the swan on the back that is colored black. On thigh she has a pocuh strapped to her right leg along with one on her right hip both colored dark brown.
Her wrist mounted crossbow is on her right wrist dubbed wisp and her saber dubbed stinger strapped to her left hip.
"Lazuli its great to see you, thank goodness you got out of that dam city"junior greeted with a smile.
Melenie and miltia walked forward side by side micking each other. Lazuli looked at the two as the twin looked at each other before offering a hug to the girl. Lazuli accepted the embrace as they let go.
"Yes, though that brother of yours still pisses us off"melenie started
"It took us three days to get that marker off. Our mom was pissed off at you"miltia added
"Well sorry about that, though nice place got here junior. Better than the one in vale"lazuli said taking a seat at the counter.
Though junior just looked at her because she isn't just here for a good old reunion. He know she might be hurting still from her father death.
"Its got its perks, make it easier for these two at least to check up on their mom"junior said gesturing to the malachite twin who waved in unison.
"Yeah how is lil miss anyway?"lazuli asked
"Shes great business has been booming since we became info brokers"melenie started as miltia finished
"Along with still being assassin and thiefs its been great"miltia added
"That great though…i got a question junior"lazuli said as junior sighed knowing that why she was here.
Then he placed a cup he was cleaning down and set the rag down. After that he placed his hand on the table with a somber look on his face.
"Your wondering were your siblings are"he replied knowingly but lazuli told him something else.
"A little i got a question about something else as well. But do you know where my brother and sister are?"she asked
Junior cupped his chin"vance is in vacou right now with fenix from what i heard"junior answered one of them.
"That guy who set up the meeting with decker, guess he owes dad something. What about neo?"lazuli replied
Junior shrugged his shoulder"no clue, my guess is she probably in hiding maybe. But another guess is she at your aunt place. Heard about your cousin death, coudln't really believe the kid was alive then he died again."junior said
"Yeah along with being one of those kni–"miltia started as lazuli shot up before grabbing the girl by the throat stopping her from finsihing that.
Everyone in the club looked over at her as they looked at her choking miltia. Melenie glared at her as she was ready to attack her. While junior guy started to aim their weapon at her. Miltia eyed buldged a little out of her head as she tried to break lazuli grip on her throat.
"Associate my family with those thing again and next time i'll snap your neck"lazuli warned as junior sighed heavily.
"Kid let her go or lil miss will hunt you down"junior said knwoingly as lazuli looked at him before releasing her grip on miltia. She gasped a little rubbing her throat as melenie rushed over checking on her twin sister.
"You good?"she asked as miltia nodded rubbing her throat.
"Seriously…you that mad about people associating him with them?"miltia asked as her voice was a little rough
"Oh i'm sorry i lost my dad and cousin on the same day. I already grieved for him before but…those bastards hurt my family and they took my dad away"lazuli replied with malice in her tone.
Junior looked at his boys poitning their weapons at her, he raised a hand telling them to stand down. They did as they disperse, the twin took a seat at the counter as lazuli sat back down in anger.
"Look kid, i know roman meant alot to you. But why else are you even here, its not just for your sibling whereabout are they?"he asked knwoignyl as lazuli looked down
She sighed"know anything about those knights more specifically who ever help made them. Pretty sure the people who did were the ones who attacked vale. Along with someone named bonnie thanotos"she said to the three shocked that she requesting something like that.
"How would we know, we may be info broker on the side but…"miltia trialed off.
"But we don't know who attack vale except the white fang along with kncukleduster being seen their"melenie added
"Seems like clay and betty are working with the fang it seems. Though for who worked on them word is some ex atlas scientist by the name of arthur watts did maybe. Heard he did grimm experimentation back in the day"junior started trying to recall anything to answer her next question.
"Though that chick name it aint ringing any bells, but maybe you should go grab your brother"junior suggested
"Why should i?"she replied avoiding his gaze not trying to look at him.
The twins and junior looked at each other then back at the thief known as swan. They've known her for a long time and their family have been close. But junior wondered why she hasn't brought her sibling home yet.
"Because for one your family hurt right now, you should be their for them"he replied softly
