Chapter 8 Teal:Atlas Bound
It was a bright and sunny morning in the Hayley household as eria had woke up from a peaceful sleep as today was the day weiss, perun, neptune and ame would be leaving to their respecitve destiatnion. She was busy getting dressed but she needed help with it, her mother and wiess helped her out. She decided to change her look since she does sport a new leg.
But downstairs was jaki as him and thetis along with wiess family were their with breakfast being already made for them. If they were saying their goodbye in the afternoon they might as well have a decent breakfast which would be good for them. Though as they waited for them soon enough weiss and eria came downstairs as weiss stood while eria sat in her wheelchair.
For Weiss outfit she wears a short, glittering dress with a color graduation of gray blue to pale blue at the hem, a sweetheart neckline, and a white, tulle petticoat. Their was a white sash wrapped multiple times around her waist. But over her outfit she wore a slightly sheer long sleeved gray blue bolero fastened at the collar with a large sapphire borach that has three pendants that dangle from it. On the back of the shrug printed on it was the schnee crest in all its glory. While she wore a pair of gray blue wedge heels and sapphire drop earrings.
Her weapon was in a suitcase she was carying in her right hand
"Well that looks lovely dear, it suits you"willow complimented her daughter who smiled a little. Though jaki looked over as he and thetis finished breakfast. He looked toward eria.
Her outfit now consisted of a pair of teal colored leggings that covered her legs, but her prosthetic leg could be seen still. She wore a tealed colored skirt that is high waist and a low hem skirt that shows off her legs. Though she also now wears a thin turtleneck that is teal in color mixed with light blue. But over the turtleneck she wheres a shackett colored blue and teal mixed together. Along with that she wears a pair of light blue denim shorts that go halfway down her thigh. On both of her sides she sports a pair of pouches on each hip. Though she still wears her signature earring on the right ear along with her singiutre choker.
On her lap right now was her bat with her pair of character shoes on her feet her father gave her.
"And that outfit just looks adorable on you"calida squealed hugging her daughter as she didn't even react.
"Yes it is mother, thank you for helping me"she coldy replied as calida smirked at her daughter acting like her old self again.
Willow chuckled at that"oh that just reminds me of how winter would act when she was little"She replied
"You mean how she showed no emotion back then, seems she lost the her cold heart"Whitely added
"Which means you two need to file in the position as ice queen"jaki said without emotion as eria sighed smiling.
"We do but when are we leaving to meet with perun and the others?"eria simply asked
"For us we need to head to the atlas base here, apparently the one in charge their has a transport waiitng for us"whitely answered as they all sat down eating breakfast.
"Hmm well from what i heard most of the returning students are taking transports at the mitlary base back to their schools. "Theits replied which made them curious
"Why are they doing that? Couldn't some of them take the argus limit"weiss qeustioned
"I'm guessing james doens't want anymore students being lost. Along with those dreadful knights going around, were lucky two of them are dead"willow said as eria pounded the table to her surprise and whitleys. Wren was eating breakfast as he just ate.
"One of them actually…the other was my leader"eria corrected with an icy stare to the schnee mother.
The schnee mother quickly relized what she meant by that"it slipped my mind that you were on the same team as…him"willow hesitated on the last part as eria rolled her eyes but understood not everyone will be sympathetic to her.
"Look lets not bring it up again, please don't talk ill of my daughter friend of her"jaki asked as willow gently nodded
"Apolgies, though i'm sorry if that means anything"willow apolgized to eria who nodded gently to her. They all continued to eat their meals before the ice queen departure.
Soon enough after about an hour weiss and eria finished their breakfast as the entire group were making their way toward the argus military base. The base itself right now had several military airship leaving the palce with some soldier roaming around it. The base itself was large and had large metal building with four big pillars. Though eria been here three times not and it sill amazes her sometimes. Their was an airstrip here containing the airships along with a radio tower.
Though she noticed a large group of people near some airships some of which read vacou, atlas and mistral. But as they walked around for a bit soon enough on a small platform near the ship emerged a women.
The women in question was rather short with short silver hair and brown eyes. The older women also wears an atletisna uniform with black glvoes and a dark grey belt, she also has two soldiers at her side. She tapped the mic infront of her to get their attention though the podium was bigger than her. Probably standing on a box to see over it.
"Good morning everyone, today I Carline Cordovin leader of this fine atlas military base. Will be sending you off to your respective homes and schools. Along with that general ironwood applauses you for your services for your kingdoms. You all can return home to continue your studies"the women known as cordovin said into her mic.
"Along with that i bid you all goodbye and continue the good fight against the creatures of grimm and those abominations known as the grimm knights"cordoivn said as she left the stand. Soon enough the crowed slowly disappeared as eria began looking for someone.
"Where in remnant are you lighting boy"she quietly said to herself as her mother wheeled her through the base.
"Hmm they should be here somewhere"calida said looking around for her daughter friends.
Though weiss family was with them since weiss wanted to big goodbye to neptune and perun. But some people stared at the schnee family because they were surprised they were mostly all here.
"Uhh is it me or does anyone else feel like were getting oggled at"eria asked the obvious question
"We are maybe because were with most of the schnee family. That will gain some attention"thetis replied
"Look i'm sorry about that, i'm just hoping we don't run into trouble"weiss replied as they continued to walk. Though soon enough eria felt something spark on her neck slightly. She yelped slightly as she frowned before turning around to the one who did it.
She looked to see perun in his usually outfit smiling at her alongside neptune and ame.
"Their you three are we were wondering if we missed you"calida said as she hugged the three of them.
"Hey we wren't going to leave without saying our goodbyes"neptune replied as he walked over hugging eria then weiss. The other two did the same though ame looked sadden at eria.
The girl noticed this wondering why she was sad"are you okay ame? You seem sad about something"eria questioned as ame sighed
"Its nothing just…that psycho took your leg. Traumatic episode my ass"ame said as willow cleared her throat as the girl noticed she was infront of the schnee family.
"Oh umm pardon my harsh langauge "she quickly said bowing as willow chuckled at her.
"Its quite alright but please don't use such harsh language around wren. I rather not hear him swearing at such a young age"willow said as wren was distracted right now in awe of the military base.
Weiss simple giggled at that"what will you wash our mouth out with soap or something mother?"She asked
"Maybe i will or better yet spar with you. Your mother may look like a proper lady but she knows when to get rough at times"willow replied
Eria sighed and looked at her metal leg caressing it. She knew who ame was talking about rosemary kuchisake. What happened during the doubles round made it seem like she had a slightl panic attack. But she must have been faking it to further their plans in the tournament.
"Its fine…all i hope now is that rogue is okay right now wherever she is"Eria replied as ame nodded at that.
"I heard about that, if it means anything i'm sure she'll be back. Though i wonder how zephyra is doing"ame replied
Perun nodded wondering where their other teammate was"same here probably back in atlas, hey say hi to her for us"he said to weiss who nodded
"I shall though this is where we all part ways"weiss said as the group nodded in agreement. They all bid their farewells for their repsctives desiantions. But not before perun gave eria a kiss on the forehead making her blush like crazy from that. They laughed at the frozen girl plee but soon enough weiss and her family headed off to their landing pad.
On the way they moved through the base for a while until they arrived at a small landing platform. Along with a ship waiitng to take them back to atlas which was But their waiting for them right now was general cordvina with a smile on her face. The short women smiled at willow who returned it.
"Carolina its nice to see you again after soo long"willow greeted the short women who nodded
"As to you as well willow, i haven't seen you since nicholas passing"cordvina replied as she looked at the schnee siblings.
"Though these must be your children i've heard so much about from your edlest daughter"she added to the sibling surprise.
"Wait…winter talks about us?"weiss asked shocked a little by that.
"That is a surprise she rarely talks to us because she been busy with work in atlas"whitely added
Cordvina walked over with her hand behind her back"your daughter is busy as usually right now even with these new foes that appeared. But she talks highly of all of you even her mother. Though aren't you a adorable little thing"She said pinching wren cheeks.
He smacked lightly at her hands to tell her to stop"hands off the gen–"a soldier begun but the short women glared at him to stop as he did.
"Sorry ma'am"he apolgized as cordvina waved her hand telling him it was fine.
"Its quite alright, though she says how she wishes she could spend time with you. But james the ever diglaent is hard at work. "She added as she began escoritng them to the ship they were going to take back to atlas.
"That my daughter though my children do want to pursue many careers"willow replied simply as cordvina chuckled.
"Ah following the family business i'm guessing"She replied though whitley had a different answer.
"Umm i would actually like to pursue medicine in the future"he corrected her as willow chuckled a little smiling.
The short women smiled"thats an admirable career in the future, helping those in need of medical attention. But i'm guessing you are becoming a huntresses just like nicholas was a huntsman"cordvina replied looking toward weiss as they got to the ship to take them to atlas.
Weiss heisated to answer because she does want to become a huntresses. But thinks about being unable to save her friend from losing her lose of limb. Though she wanted to keep her grandfather legacy alive as a huntsman.
"I will though…i still need time to think after everything that happen"She replied as willow was surprised to hear this. But the short women nodded as she guided them onto their airship to take them to atlas to return home to jacque it seems.
Though right now in another part of mistral a grizzled detective was walking toward a police station tht was two story tall. He had a cup of coffee in hand as he drank it. He was an older man who wore a trench coat colored olive and he wore a military vest underheat it colored tan. He also wore a pair of suspenders with dress pants colored black. He sported a black dress shirt with a red tie. Their was a bit of stubble on his face and his black hair was cut short. His eyes were brown, and seemed to be in his early forties.
He also seems to be carrying a bag of food in it. The building he was a police that had a black roof and concert exterior. Their were several windows and some officers were outside of the building. On the top it read mistral police department.
The man walked inside as a couple of the officer waved to him as he returned it. He headed inside the building with the food in hand.
Inside the officers of the police department where hard at work like usually. It had wooden desk around the place with computers on them. Though he was heading to a room with the door reading" Henry Knight & Nancy Maple.
He opened the room to his partner who was hard at work right now. The women in question was a women in her mid thirties with darkish tan skin. She had dusky rose colored hair in a bun, her eyes were black in color. But atop her head was a pair of bunny ears colored wore a pair of light brown dress pants with a holster on her right hip carrying a magnum. She wore a pair of grey dress shoes, though she wore a white dress shirt with a light blue tie. But over it she wore a double breasted trench coat with a hood on it which was creamed color.
The women looked away from a board smiling"their you are partner what took you so long with our food"she asked as she cupped her chin with one hand.
"Sorry you chose takeout from that chinese place from across town. Also you hear anything new from the chief on any of our case"he replied as he placed the bag on a desk.
The women known as nancy maple opened it revealing some noodles with some orange chicken. She grabbed some chopsticks and began to eat into her food, with a hum of delight.
"Yep though we got a couple cases we need to work on still"she replied gesturing to the wall infront of her. Detective knight looked at the wall seeing the little wall of mystery he made. It had pictures of the illusive theif he's been chasing for five years now known as swan. Though their is also some pieces of string attached to faunus black markets around remnant. He didn't know who been running them but he wants to put a stop to it.
Decective knight scratched his stuble as he drank his coffee before setting it down on the table. Along with that he reached into his jacket and pulled a tan folder out. To nancy surprise she looked at him confused
"What with the folder you find something?"she asked as she ate her food with delgiht.
"I did it appears that swan was sighted in vale during the fall. Along with her employer dead right now it means she looking for places to rob"he replied as he tossed the folder onto the table spilling its content out.
The content of it in question was a very familiar cargo ship fleeing the skies of vale. But also the same ship that was leaving a mistral dock about last night. Nancy wnet wide eyed as she swallowed her food setting it down.
"Whoa thats her ship she uses for those heist of her. "She replied gesturing to the laughing beowulf on it.
He nodded"yep though judging on where she might be heading my guess is atlas"he replied as he cupped his chin.
"Thats a good guess with roman dead she needs some extra cash right now. But seriously chief is getting mad that we can't find out who she is. "Nancy replied
The detective sighed because his boss was getting mad how they haven't found her identity yet. He's been chasing her for five years now trying to stop this petty crook and thief. But their arne't many crimes except for pricelss art, sculptures and a few dust shipments being stolen. He also wants him to now keep an eye out for any information on these knights of grimm.
"I know he is but we also gotta keep an eye out for info on those knights of grimm. Seriously can't believe that shit exist in our world still"he replied baffled that those genetic monsteorus exists today.
Nancy nodded as her ears twitched around"so when are we leaving for atlas partner to hunt this illusive thief down"she asked as the grizzled detective then pulled something from his coat pocket. He pulled out a couple tickets for a ship heading to atlas tonight.
"Were going their tonight, might as well get started their to see if we can dig anything up"he replied as the two detectives where ready to head off to the city of atlas to catch this little thief of his right now. Because the chase has been good but it needs to come to an end sooner or later.
Though right now in an cargo ship flying through the sky right now closing in the on illusive city of atlas right now was the thief ship. Inside the ship lazuli was fast asleep on a cot right now but she kept tossing and turning in her sleep. The thief was having a small nightmare right now.
Dream sequence
The thief known as lazuli and the daughter of the illusive roman torhcwich found herself somewhere. She found herself in a simple park that had bushes and a small fountain in the middle. The fountain in question was that of a swan that was spreading its wings as water spouted from its mouth.
She was confused about being here right now because she never wanted to come back to this place again. The very same park that her dam parents left her in all those years ago. The girl was annoyed right now relziing this might be a dream but walked around in her usual outfit for a bit.
"Okay why the hell am i in this stupid park. I told myself i'd never come back here again"She said to herself as she continued to walk as her footsteps clacked on the concrete path.
As she continued to walk for a bit it started to rain slightly as the water hit her. But she didn't feel wet from it at all as it slide off her. The girl continued to walk for a bit until she noticed someone by the fountain. Their at the fountain was her father roman torchwich with his cane in hand. Alongside her aunt nadia as she had her arms crossed.
"Auntie? And dad?"she asked confused why they were here.
"Hello featherhead how you been sweetie?"nadia asked her with a small smile.
"Yes, how have you been my little swan. You and your siblings getting along alright?"roman asked as she froze for a second hugging herself.
"Their fine probably with you back at your place auntie"lazui replied to her tiger faunus aunt who glared at her a little. She visible stepped back from that glare wondering what she did to piss her off.
"Really? Are you sure about that because right now i'm pretty heartbroken. My son is dead again, you could have warned him"nadia spat back as gestured to her right.
Lazuli slowly looked over going wide eyed as she looked to see her cousin dead corpse their on the ground. His bodie was leaning against a grave stone with his name on it, alongside a bloody laughing skull necklace draped around the headstone.
"I…i…i didn't want him getting involved…I told yahto to make sure they got out but…"She trialed off before she stopped her
"You should have been with your siblings and family instead of running off. Your own little sister could be dead for all you know"nadia added as she soon walked off into the darkness leaving her.
She then looked toward her father who had his cane in hand, roman had a disappointed look across his face. Then he slowly walked over to her as spoke.
"Shes right i told you to make sure to get your siblings out of that dam city. But you didn't listen instead came to rescue me. "He begun poiinting his cane at himself then as he got close he began to circle her for a bit.
"Your brother is in vacou right now with my friend fenix. But for how long until he gets hurt, you should find him. Then their your little sister neo…you don't even know where she is in remnant. For all you know she could be dead right now. "He begun as lazuli covered her ears trying to drown it out because he never say that.
"Shut up..i..i..i did–"She started but he stopped her as his cane was pointed in her face.
"Face it my little swan you messed up. Stop chasing after those killers of mine, the person who made those knights and go grab your brother then find your sister"roman ordered as he pulled the trigger on his cane. Then a blast came from it which surrounded lazuli in a bright light.
Dream sequence end.
Lazuli woke up sweating panting right now as she held her hand on her chest. She gripped the diamond necklace her father gave her tight as she sat their for a bit. After a bit of time she calmed herself down as she wiped the sweat off her forehead
"Weird nightmare, might as well check on skyguy see how hes doing"She said to herself as she threw the sheets off her makeshift cot. Then she began to climb the ladder close by that led upstairs.
Once their she walked around and looked at the board of evidence she collected in the last couple weeks. She was getting somewhere with all this and it was leading to atlas. If ironwood had info on who made those knights. He might have more on the last possible location on where they were made. But she also hoped to dig up some info doing work for some of the rich snob high above or the lower class below.
The girl walked to the cockpit to see falk hard at work piloting the ship toward atlas. She looked outside toward the large floating city connected by huge wires that lead to another city that was underneath it as their was smoke created from it.
"I'm guessing where here how long was i out?"She asked taking a seat
"Not long about eight hours, must be pretty beat from all this espionage stuff were doing"falk replied as lazuli chuckled in response.
"Your right though since were here, you gonna check on your mom and sis while were here?"she asked as the pilot nodded to her.
"Might as well though i wonder if that schnee girl is here"falk questioned wondering where weiss was right now.
Lazuli smirked at him because he probably had no chance to bag a girl like her. Though she let the guy have that wishful thinking of his give him hope. If he did ever bag the rich heiress to the shcnee company he'd have his own personal piggy bank.
"Oh you wanna see if the heiress might be interested in dating you pink boy?"lazuli playfully asked as falk chuckled grinning.
"Who knows maybe she will, she seemed pretty flustered when i last saw her during the festival"he replied as the two continued their way to the city of atlas. Along with trying to find a safe place to hide from the military and police here.
Though high above in the skys right now was a particular heirness who was wide awake right now. The journey from argus was about a day ago and they arrived during the night it seems. The night sky was out as stars could be seen outside the ship windows. She was a little happy to be back in atlas but was a little worried were her team was right now. With her sister telling her blake was in critical condition last she saw her it worried her.
But she also dreaded returing home to that father of hers. Though right now she just wanted to see if winter was still around in atlas maybe. The ship was flying through the night sky as willow held a sleeping wren in her arms.
Whitley was reading a book on beginners guide for surgery it seems as he had some headphones in listening to music.
Weiss sighed"guess were back home to the great floating city of Atlas"weiss said outloud as willow chuckled.
"Yes we are, though their is a surprise in store for us when we get back home"willow said as wiess hoped it wasnt anything to do with her father.
"Let me guess jacque is expecting our return i'm guessing"wiess replied because she doens't really like calling him her father anymore.
Willow sighed"no but he may be infuriated that we returned a day late. I'll just tell him we ran into airship troubles and had to stay extra day. I had klein prepare a small feast with some of the other help when we return"willow replied as weiss smiled a little because she did miss that butler in their home.
The airship kept going through the sky as they passed by the towering skyscapers of the city. Along with passing by the illsuive atlas academy as it currently housed its students. Though soon enough their flights brought them to a large manor situated ontop of a rocky hill. The manor that was also known as the infamous schnee manor. The home to the schnee family that runs the schnee dust company. Though the home was actually half of one family while the other was owned by jacque.
" we''ve reached our destination shall I take us down"the pilot asked
Willow nodded"yes please do, we've had a long flight and i'm sure were all tired from our journey"she replied as the pilot nodded
He flipped a few switches on the switch hailing the small landing pad"this is sleet to command are we clear to land"he asked
The radio sparked to life"sleet we read you, did you bring the vips from their trip"the voice on the other end asked seeming female
"Yes ma'am, all members of the schnee family are accounted for and safe and sound"he replied to the person on the other end.
"Good job, your clear to land though their father is here to see them"the voice on the other end said as weiss heard that part going wide eyed. That meant jacque may be here right now and he could be very mad at them right now. Willow heard this but sighed heavily as the ship began to make its landing.
As it did the ship landed on a small landing pad close to the schnee manor grounds. But along with that it started to rain right now in the city. The ship engines died down as the doors soon opened. Weiss and her family walked out as one of the help undid an umbrella above them as they followed them. But weiss noticed it was one of the faunus hired help.
Though she was quickly met by her so called father with her favorite butler next to him with a somber look but smiled seeing them here.
"Ah willow you finally arrived, what took you so long with our kids. I thought you'd be back a day ago"jacuqe replied annoyed it seems.
Willow sighed"well i'm sorry we ran into airship troubles. Along with our daughter wanting to say goodbye to her friends."she replied as jacque adjusted his tie on his suit.
"You mean those vaguebonds from that school, in my opinion you should have attended atlas. Maybe then the heiress to our company wouldn't be at stake"he said seeming to care but he was just worried about his company profit.
Weiss took a deep breath as he spoke ill of the many friends she made at that school. Some of which aren't around anymore but she kept her composer to not made him anger.
"Well actually some of those vaguebonds are very good friends of mine"She simply replied as jacque glared a little at her.
"Hmph, that would be who some farm boy or gutter rat from that city"jacque replied as the group began walking toward the house. Klein undid an umbrella holding it above jacque. While the faunus help held his above weiss and her family but he was slightly in the rain soaking him slightly.
Weiss forced a grin on her face trying to not lose her cool"acutally no i was friends with some very great people their. For starters my team, a bunny faunus named velvet scarltina"weiss started but he interupted her laughing.
"Ah that man daughter i heard he married some faunus. Though lately i heard he been working with our military. Don't know how he can wed one of those beast"he interrupted as weiss glared at him but thankfully he didn't notice
"Who else i did hear that the hayley sister wnet their along with the now former champion of sanctum"jacque replied as they continued to walk throught he rain as the faunus help was getting drenched.
Whitley noticed as he moiotned for the man to come under the umbrella. But he shook his head refusing but whitley demanded it seems.
"Sir please get under here your getting soaked"whitley ordered softly not wanting to be rude.
"Its quite alright young master"the faunus replied but whitley didn't stop.
"Please just get under here now, you'll get sick from staying out too long"Whitley begged it seems as the faunus help sighed as he slipped under the umbrella but was thankful for it.
Back with wiess and her father conversation as they continued toward the manors main entrance. She looked at the large gates that went around the entire manor grounds it seems. Though it felt like a prison at times with how tall they were.
As she was distracted jacuqe cleared his throat which got wiess attention back on their conversation.
"You know its rude to keep someone waiting to give them a response"he replied as he didn't even bother to look at her.
Weiss sighed quietly"yes sorry about that father"she replied but was disgusted by calling him father as jacuqe smiled a little.
"The hayley sister did go their along with their good friend pyrrha nikos. Its a shame she lost her life that day, her mother is very hurt about it"weiss sadly begun as jacque huffed slightly.
"Well at least that daughter of her did give her something. A very good reputation that made her an infamous figure in all of remnant. "Jacque added not even caring how he phrased it.
Willow glared at him as she still held the sleeping wren in her arms. She met the women recently and she seemed very heartbroken over her daughter death. But she didn't want to start a fight for tonight, since they just got back.
"Umm yes she did but hayley sister where also very nice. They had their own quirks in my opinion but they were very great friends"she added
Jacque stroked his mustache as he spoke"did you at least try to persuade those girl to become friends. Maybe then we can merge with her fathers comapny. We both can benefit from each other with the dust trade. I could even supply him dust for those weapons their father make"jacque said as they got to the front door as he turned aorund. Then he glared at the faunus under the umbrella with them.
"Excuse me, i'm sure your not suppose to be so close them"jacque said as the faunus help slightly flinched.
"Umm uh sir young master whitley said it–"he begun but jacque stopped him.
"I don't care what my son says, stay away from them your probably ridden with flees. If you do not listen then.."jacque started as he revelaed a small remote in one of his hands. The faunus servant nodded as he stepped back into the rain getting soaked. Whitley looked down in sadness because he just wanted to help him not get sick.
Then jacque placed his hands behind his back"beside that apparently klein and the other made a feast for tonight. Why don't you come inside then we could eat together as a family. I'm sure you wouldnt mind willow dear?"he asked looking toward willow
She forced a small smile"that fine i'm sure your worried about our daughter from the recent events in vale to make sure she is alright"willow replied
"Of course rather not have the heiress to our company be suffering from some traumatic incidnet. It would be a shame"jacuqe replied as the y headed inside for the night.
They entered into the main entrance hall of the manor which had a large stairway that led to the rest of the house. The stairway had a served balconies that went on both sides that allowed passage to the ground floor. At teh top of the stair way was a panedtriptych of arched windows, and on both side of the stairway stood an enormous suits of armor on btoh sides of the stairways.
Though in the center of the room near the bottom of the steps was a large, blue circular pattenr decorated with the schnee snowflake emblem in varous places. The ceiling of the room beared the same pattern.
"Now dinner will be an hour i suggest you have the help drop your language off."jacque ordered as some of said help walked over taking their language. Then immediately jacque walked off to a differne tpart of the house more presuambly his study.
"If you'll excuse me i need to head to my study real quick. I'll join you for dinner"he said not even turning as he walked off to a different part of the house. Once he did willow groaned as she handed wren to klein.
"I swear to god that man makes me wanna turn to the bottle again"willow said
Klein chuckled"come now willow you promised to never resort to the bottle again."klein simply said as he and them walked up the stairs to drop the lugauge off.
"He's right moth..mom in your words you want to make sure to give us your full attention"whitley said knowignly as he grabbed a suitcase from one of the help. Along with that the faunus helper from early was with them as he walked with a suitcase.
Weiss got a better look at him as he wore a simply tux that bore the schnee colors but for his traits he had set of butterfly wings on his back. They were green in color as he had light tan skin. Along with a set of light purple eyes and blonde hair slicked back. But slighlty hidden on wrist was a shock band.
"Oh umm young master let me–"he begun but whitley stopped him.
"Stop i can handle this and i'm sorry for getting you in trouble um."whitley tried to say his name but the servant introduced himself.
"Rad sir"he itnroudced himself as rad a butterfly faunus.
"Ah rad my boy relax you don't need to be so uptight around them. Also you don't serve his side of the house you serve willows"he replied as the insect faunus was surrpsied by this.
"Sir i need to serve both sections of–"rad begun but willow stopped him.
"Well you will personally be serving whitley and my youngest wren. I don't care what jacque says, he'll just have to live with ot"willow firmly said as rad didn't argue but just rolled with it. Soon enough after dropping their luggage off weiss decided to check on her old room she left.
The room in question was like most of the house with white wall and reflective floor tiles. Though the white ceiling formed an arch, a little over midway up the walls was a thick blue border with gold edges. Their were also arch shaped bookselves attached to the walls.
She walked down a set of three steped into the room. Though their was a pair of white armchairs with gold frames next to a glass coffee table with a gold frame. On the floor beneath this set of furniture was an ornate off white rug with bordered o varyness thickness. It had a pattern of gold, blue, gold. Their was also a fireplace nearby which hangs a mirror with gold curved, leafy designs on a black frame. Hanging to the left of the door was a thick blue curtain.
Though the back of the room had an window that was enormous with thick blue curtains pulled aside by light ties. Their was a simple desk colored white next to it. Above hung a picture of a suit of armor of the gigas armor.
Though for weiss bed she had a king size four poster canopy that sat agains the wall. It had white fitted sheet and a light blue balnket with a pattern of rhombus shapes and black dots. It had three large white pillow and one small blue pillow. The bed frame was pale blue and curved with leafy silver decor with an apple shape at the top on the footboard and headboard.
Their was also a glass bench that match the bed width and their was a blue vantiy dresser to the left of it. Their was also a small stool in the corner with a gold conductors stand.
Weiss sighed as she layed on her bed exhausted from having to deal with jacque annoying antiques. But she was happy klein was here and wondered carmen was around right now. Though she just decided to relax for a bit till dinner.
An hour soon past as most of the schnee family converged with each other in the dinning hall. It had a large table covered in large white table cloth. The chairs where upholstered with blue fabric deocarted in a repeated patterns of symbols. Their were a few glass vances that had white loly flowers and foliage. Their was also a set of windows off to the side that viewed the rain outside as it hit against the window.
Dinner consisted of any dish you'd find in an upper class home. Tonight dinner consited of seered steak, beef wellington, caviar you name it. Though at the far end was her father while willow sat a few chair down next to wren. He was eating already as the schnee family talked.
"So you made friends with the infamous champion of sanctum and jaki girls."jacque said to his duaghter as he ate his food
Weiss messed with her for a bit as she spoke"i did though i also made several other friends who were great"she replied
"Really like who dear sister?"whitley asked curiosuly since he has a few friends outside of this stupid manor.
Willow listened intensively happy her duaghter enjoyed herself at beacon. While jacque just sat their impatient it seems wondering what trash his daughter associated herself with.
"Their a girl named onxyia blair, me and her spent some time together over break"she replied
"Oh and what exactly is this girl like?"jacque asked sniddly as his wife glared a little.
Weiss figeted for a second"umm well she was on the hayley sister team. Along with being um..faunus with dual traits"She said as willow was slgihtyl surprised to hear that. But jacque just scoffed at that as he ate.
"That interesting, those are arare feature to have for their people"willow replied
"Yes, seems those beast can have more of those horrendous traits"jacque added as he cut a piece of steak eating it.
Weiss composed herself as she decided to talk about her team. Her father may disapprove of them but she's sure her mother wouldn't mind hearing about them.
"Their is also my team at beacon"weiss started as jacque raised an eyebrow.
"Did you even become leader on your team, it'd be a shame if you didn;t"jacque said knowingly because he knew the answer already. Weiss clenched her fist taking a deep breath as she continued.
"First their is my partner ruby rose, she actually the youngest huntresses to atten beacon right now. Alongside that she was our team leader, she is a very excellent leader if i say so myself"Weiss complimented her weapon nerd leader.
"Really their allowing children now to attend those school no wonder beacon fell"jacque added as willow glared a little at him.
"Despite that what about your other teammates dear. You must have held them in high regard"willow aksed softly trying to cheer her daughter up.
"Yes their usually four people on them if i recall"Whitley added smiling toward his sister who appreciated it.
"Their was also yang xiao long ruby older sister actually. She was very interesting because she would always be very protective of us at times. Though you should never mess with her hair, she tends to get anger if you do"weiss continued as jacque had more to say.
"So a girlish brute on your team, not that impressive"jacque rudely remarked as weiss shook in anger and sadness at that jab.
"Jacque she was her teammate, its not wise to be rude. Who else dear?"willow said as jacque rolled his eyes continuing to eat.
Weiss composed herself sighing"their was also blake belladonna a faunus on our team. She was quite shy at first but she warmed up to everyone eventually. She has a very interesting taste in literature"weiss finished her talk about her teammates
Jacque scoffed"and a faunus girl of that chieftain of those island of beast. In my opinion you should have been on a team with that nikos girl and hayley girls. Not those dregs you were with"jacque smugly said as weiss wanted to yell at him. But didn;t want to start a fight tonight she just let it happen. As they continued dinner for the night in silence.
Soon enough wiess returned to her room for the night upset hearing those words from her father. He didn't have to insult her teammates like that and friends. Right now she just wanted to rest for tonight after fighting the urge to freeze her father. The girl got into her room and quickly changed into a nightgown. Then she got on her large bed then fell soundly alseep crying slightly hoping tomorrow would be better.
Though unknown to her a few familair faces would be arrivng to atlas on the same day as her. Along with maybe meeting some old friends soon enough. But she also wondered if her mother could give her some advice as well.
It seems weiss homelife isn't that great having to share it with a devil known as her so called father. But this helped introduce dective knight back into the story with his rabbit partner nancy. Though lets see where this will lead to? Till next chapter!
