Chapter 10 teal: A Familair Face
At the airfireld right now ironwood was on platform 7-A where a smaller airship approached the landing pad. Marrow and hariet were by his side a the doors oepend as knight and his partner nancy. They immeidaly noticed ironwood as they greeted him
"Well hello their general. Been a while old friend how you been?"detective knight asked as he had his hand in his trench coat pcoekts.
"Great, though why are you here in atlas henry? Shouldn't you be in mistral?"ironwood questioned
"No actually. I'm here on a case i've been on for five years now. Apparently the swan airship has been sighted heading here."knight replied as the three were surprised by this.
"Wait that wouldn't make sense how did she get through our scanner then?"marrow questioned surrpsied by this.
Ironwood kept a stoic face as he spoke" maybe she has jamming software or tech to mask her ship rfid signal. Though if she here that why i'm guessing your here old friend"he replied as the detective nodded
"I was hoping you could also answer some other questions for me. You see i got three other cases i'm working on as well. The first being the faunus black market going around all over rmenant."he started
"Their been word about that going on lately, though we've had some units trying to solve it"hariet answered as he nodded continuing.
"The second right now is the whereabouts of rogue hayley. Apperently on our way here my chief gave us that case since she may be in atlas probably"he replied
"She wouldn't be here i'm sure, though i'll have my men keep an eye out for her"ironwood replied as the dectective pulled a flask out and unscrewed it. Then he took a quick swig as he continued.
"Lastly its info concerning these grimm knights…chief wants us to see if we scoruage up who made them and how"he replied as ironwood kept his stoic face. While the two ace ops did the same.
"Yep though we may need one of your ace ops to help us with our investigation for swan"nancy added as the general cupped his chin because he could help with some of those cases. But he needed to keep the information about the knights a secret for now.
"Okay, these two will assist you in your ongoing investigation for swan and those other cases"ironwood ordered as he left the two as the ace ops decided to discuss what their first move will be to deal with these slavers and infamous thief. Though the two know exactly who she is the daughter of roman torchwich.
Detective knight offer a hand as hairet took it"pleasure to meet you too i'm detective knight and this bunny faunus here is my partner nancy maple"he introduced himself and nancy as he shook hairet then marrows hand.
"Litenanut hariet bree reporting for duty sir"she greeted
"Litennaut marrow amin at your service as well"marrow added
Nancy chuckled"man you and your military talk though how ya been dog boy?"nancy greeted her old faunus friend as marrow sighed chcukling.
"Nancy its nice to see you haven't seen you since…when was it?"he asked as the women chuckled tapping his shoulder as he rubbed it.
"Too long old friend, though where should we start first?"nancy asked as hatier cupped her chin and decided they should split up. She might head to carmine place to check on her. Along with having marrow go with those two to keep an eye on them.
"I'm heading to a doctor i know that might have info on who might have the knowledge to create those grimm knights"hairet said as marrow was surprised by this but understood why she was doing it.
"Great i'll come with"dectective knight opted to join but she stopped him.
"Sorry, shes a very personal friend i also wanna check on her. She…lost someone we both know recently. I gotta see how she grieving"hairet said as the dective nodded
"Then me, dog boy and bunny ears will head to an informant i know down in mantle"he replied as the four went off for their separate assighemnts. Marrow though nodded to hairet smiling as she reutnred it. The girl wanted to see how the old doctor was doing and might just lie to the two detectives.
Though right now in the streets of atlas right now was a certain pilot walking around. Falk was humming to hismelf as he was heading to a specific destination in mind right now. That would be visiting some family he knows should be home. Along with checking up on his mom to see if she gotten any better.
Last time he visited she was doing great, though with the CCT tower down global communication was down too. He was worried if something happened to her. Mainly because she contracted a disease called neuromsucler diesease which cuased loss of function in her nerves. They siad in can be permanent maybe but if their quick enough they could get her surgery to help her walk again. Though the surgery is pretty costly and hes been using the money to help put his niece through school since his sister takes care of their mother while he works.
After about ten minutes of walking he arrived at a simple skyscraper it seems. Though it was like msot building in atlas. But on the side where a name plate read it said"Pyke and skyler Rite Residents". He wondered if that uncle of his was in town right now
The ace pliot got to the door taking a deep breath as he rung the doorbell. Imeidalty footsteps could be heardas it opened.
Their infront him was a women who was thirty six it seems, she had black hair that reached her back. Along with that she wore blue sweater that was made of wool it seems. Though she also wore a pair of brown flared pants with a pair of grey heels. She had fair skin and light purple eyes, though she had a small forehead scar on her head. But she had a slender frame and had a silver wedding ring on.
The women went wide eyed as she embrace him tightly"oh you stupid idiot your okay, we were worried sick"she cired holding him as he returned the embrace hugging his older sister
"Heyya sis sorry, had to do some work with feather head"he replied as the women undid her embrace as she sighed wiping a small tear that formed.
"That dumb girl and you getting into trouble like usually?"she knowingly asked
Falk chuckled"you know it though…uh uncle pyke around?"he asked wondering where that uncle of his was.
The women waved her hand"no my husband actually on a mission right now. Lately their been sighting of lancer in the anima more lately. He volunteered to help out, you know him being a goody two shoes"she replied as a voice inside called to her.
"Skyler! Whos their is it someone we know?!"the voice shouted sounding female. Falk looked inside and then at his older sister who smiled at him who name was skyler rite.
"Mom we have a visitor i know your going to love!"she yelled into the house as she motioned for her younger brother to follow her inside. He did and once inside it felt nice to be back here again. The last time he visited was a very long time ago, he wondered whats happen.
"Oh really who would that be? Is it the cute delivery driver from last week?" a older female voic easked as skyler rolled her eyes as falk smiled.
"No its someone you haven't seen in a while. He's also very annoying"Skyler replied as falk rolled his eyes.
"I aint that annoying unlike you sis"he muttered walking inside
Soon enough the two emerged into a simple living room like area. It had a simple couch in the room along with a coffee table in the room. Their was also a cabinet that contained several photos with a few with him in it. Along with some being of a young man who close to his sister age it seems. Their was also some pictures of a squad of atlas fighter pilots.
But in the room sitting in a wheelchair right now was his mother. She seemed to be maybe in her late thirites and she had pale skin but she looked a little sickly. The women had jet black hair that was wavy with the bottom part of it being light pink. Her eyes were violet in color as she had some pink eyeshadow under them. Though she wore a black blouse with the cuffs curled a little. Their was pink lining the dress along with the strings on the collar. Though underneath she wore a pair of white jeans but had a light pink wool blanekt on her lap.
This was sora bishop falks mother
While next to her was a small tot who seemed to be four years old. He had tan skin, he had brown hair was short. Along with that his eyes dark green and he wore a pair of blue shorts with a dark grey long sleeve shirt.
This was his nephew moe rite
Sora went wide eyed seeing her son here but smiled a little, then she set a scroll she had in hand down. Then she offered a hug to him as falk walked over accepting it.
"Its great to see you again mom"falk greeted as the women squeezed him slightly as he took a spot on the couch.
"Oh i know it is, we were worried sick about you when we heard vale was under attack"sora begun as moe was playing with some toys close by.
"She right, when we saw the news we thought for the worst. Your last call said you were in vale for a job"skyler added as she had a tea tray in hand with the tea already made. They were going to have some before he arrived.
The ace pilot chuckled"well it was pretty intesne i'll say that though…you hear what happen to lazuli dad"he asked
Lazuli trusted his family because apperently her aunt knew his dad back in the day. Along with that when he told them he was working with an infamous thief. His mother was against it at first but he also said how they go after slavers and bandits. Which seemed to calm her down but she still didn't like him resorting to crime. But his mom also knew torchwich back in her younger days when she was against johnny law.
Sora sighed"i did, poor girl must be devastated to lose her father. At least torch that old crook did some good in the world still"sora replied
Skyler took a sip of her tea then set it down"he did though still can't believe we associate ourselves with crooks sometimes. "She stated as falk eyed her down.
"Really? Uncle pyke teammate in vacou is like best friends with her dad. Though heard her brother their right now…her sister no clue"he replied drinking his tea,
"Oh enough about that what i'm interested in is if you caught a girl eye"sora said as falk went wide eyed eyed as he wanted to spit his tea out. But instead he choked on it as he set the cup down coughing. His sister patted his back as the pilot blushed slightly.
"Umm well..you see…their was this one chick..but…she kinda too…uh important to notice me"he replied to the two confusion
"No way someone who is famous fell for my airhead of a brother"skyler teased her little brother
"You never know, he does have your fathers charm at time. One of the many things you inherited from him"sora replied as she rubbed her hands together a little downheart.
The pliot noticed this because his dad died nine years ago when he was serving in the atlas military. He was on a routine mission in the anima to deal with some grimm in the area. But they evneeutally ran into several flying grimm that were attacking civilian airship. He decided to protect them as his squad ship were badly damaged. His dad did save those ship at the cost of his life. But his pliot buddies come by sometimes every year for a yearly cookout in his honor
Falk placed a hand on his mother lap"don't worrie mom i'm sure dad is smiling up their high in the sky"he reassured the women who smiled a little.
"Beside that why don't we head out today, heard their a new exhibit at the zoo"skyler suggested as he was all for it. He wanted to spend some time with his family before he did another job with lazuli. The ace pilot with his sister, mother and nephew soon left for the zoo. But he wasn't expecting to run into a certain ice queens family.
But right now where his thief friend was she was already hard at work. The theif was walking through atlas right now as she was on her scroll with a familair person right now. Robyn hill of the happy huntresses, a fellow hero in a way for the people of mantle.
"Come on robyn you got to have some type of job for me right now?"lazuli asked into her scroll
"Look laz i don't really have that many jobs right now. Most of them include helping the people of mantle right now. You know how cold it get down here this time of year."she said on the other end
Lazuli groaned"okay well you sure their isn't anything from those anonymous jobs of yours. The ones that don't tell you the clinic name or whatever"she asked as their was a brief pause for a moment.
Then robyn answered"come by the den then we can talk"robyn said as lazuli hung up telling her she'll be their. Soon enough she took a shuttle to get to that part of the city. What she didn't know was two dectives and an ace op did the same thing. The four didn't even relize they were on the same shuttle.
Inside the shuttle it was a good ten minutes as it flew through the city of atlas descending to mantle. As the shuttle was lazuli looked around for a bit at the passenger around her. Then she glanced at detective knight looking around but took a double take.
The thief went wide eyed but turned round quick enough for him not to notice her.
"What the hell is that stupid dective doing here in atlas"she thought to herself
But she also noticed his bunny faunus partner with him as well. Though a surprise was seeing that wolf faunus from ace ops here as well. Do they know each other or something, if their here she might be expecting trouble.
Soon enough the shuttle landed as she stepped out hoping they weren't stopping here as well. But to her dismay they did as she interanlyl screamed right now. Though she now stood infront of a business that looks like it could be more than a bar. The sign itself read"happy huntresses den"
Lazuli sighed hoping she doesn't have to deal with any trouble right now.
"I hope they aren't here for me"she thought as she entered the building
Already isndie the place looked like to a simple shelter from the looks of it. Their were cots in the room for anyone who wanted them to stay out from the cold night air. Along with that their was a check in desk on the opposite side of the room. Their were tables around the place along with a small lounge like area close by. But their was also a tv in the room. But lazuli noticed it being not that busy it seems. But she decided to walk to a nearby table with coffee close by.
As the other three walked in marrow was not in his usual attire instead trading his ace ops outfit for a pair of simple jeans with a hole for his tail, he also wears a simple white t-shirt underneath a light blue jacket. The wolf faunus also wore a pair of simple black shoes as well.
Immedialty once inside a female voice called out to them"so what brings two detectives and an ace op to my humble little abode"she said as she walked toward them.
The women infront of them look her late twenties to early thiries maybe. She has tanned skin with violet eyes along with light blonde hair tied in a pony tail. Their are beauty marks under her gith eye and another under the left side of her mouth.
The women wore a black sleevless coat with gray accent over a red double breasted sleeveless vest, a brown high neck shirt, and a light gray short sleeves with one right sort sleeve that has a black cuff whislt the other sleeve is longer. She also wears a brown belted waist clincher with matching brown pants tucked into black knee high boots with dark brown cuffs. Around her neck she wears an olive green scraf with tattered looking tails hanging behind her. She also had a apir of black arhceyr style glvoes on with an index finger missing on both of them.
"Robyn how it going its been too–"marrow begun but she stopped him
"Enough with the formalties wags and get to the main issue here"robyn said appernelty not wanting to chat as she looked at the detectives then lazuli who hide at a nearby table.
"I'm guessing your here for information"she asked as henry nodded
"Yes however…do you know anything about four specific case i'm pursuing. One of a missing girl, another of some faunus slaver traders, the third the infamous thief known as swan"he said as close by lazuli went wide eyed.
Nancy nodded"yeah you know mantle better than anyone around here. Were wondering if you've seen her or heard any rumors of those faunus slave markets"she added
Robyn groaned rubbing her eyes"okay what the girl we do get plenty of missing kids here sometime. What her name and what does she look like?"robyn asked as marrow stepped forward with his scroll.
He showed her the scroll as robyn picked it up looking at a picture of rogue hayley. She cupped her chin because she pretty sure that one of the two daughter of jaki hayley.
"Hmm isn't this girl the daughter of jaki hayley?"robyn asked as close by lazuli went wide eyed jumping a little at that name. Though she calmed herself down but that didn't go unnotice by a specific grizzled detective.
"She is right now the detectives have been hired to find her and return her home to her family"marrow relied but robyn was curious why he was here though.
"That makes sense..but why the heck are you here wags. Shouldn't you be back at atlas command right now dealing with those grimm knights"robyn knowingly said crossing her arms under her bust.
Marrow sighed as his tail wagged a little"we are but the general requesed a couple of us to help them out. Stopping faunus slavers, stopping a thief and getting a girl home to her family is equally important"he replied
They sat their for a bit before robyn smirked a little"at least some of you ace ops have your priorities striaght. "Robyn said as she pulled her scroll out looking through it for a bit. As she did detective knight walked over toward lazuli as she noticed this.
But she was trying to avoid eye contact with him as she had a cup of coffee in hand. She was drinking it as the grizzled detectives walked over. Once he turned the machine on as he placed a cup underneath it. The machine came to life as it brewed the coffee.
The two stood their in an awkward silence for a bit until the detective spoke.
"Say kid, what brings you too a place like this?"he asked waiting for his steaming cup of coffee
Lazuli was caught off guard as she calmly placed her cup down"oh you know just trying to stay warm . its always so cold this time of year"lazuli replied
Henry hummed"it is, though your pretty young to be at a place like this. Let me guess you one of robyn helpers or occuptnats?"henry asked as the machine then dispense his cup of black coffee
This seemed to relax lazuli thinking she was just one of robyn volunteer or one of the people trying to stave off the cold winter.
"Umm sort of like a customer if you can say. Wondering if she has info for me"lazuli replied which made the detective raise an eyebrow.
"Oh how so?"he replied as he grabbed his cup of coffee then began to drink it as she spoke.
The thief was surprise he hans't notice it was her after having their grand chase for five years. Though she does use a voice modifier to change her voice sometimes. Along with that mask hiding her identity from camera, and security systems thanks to her panda faunus hacker friend.
Lazuli held her cup looking down"i'm wondering if she can help me find where my baby sister is"she replied as the detective had a somber look on his face.
"When the last time you saw her?"he asked
"I haven't been able to find her everysince the fall happened. Came back to atlas thinking she might be here. But nope she wasn't reported dead during the attack so i guessed she might have come here first, maybe argus or maybe menagerie to check on my aunt"she sadly said deciding to confined in the detective for a bit.
Detective knight sighed as he placed a hand on her shoulder"look kid i'm sure you'll find your sister soon enough. Though do you know a rogue hayley perchance?"he asked as lazuli looked down
"Oh she went to beacon academy with my little sister. I was her personal translator since she couldn't speak"she simply answered as th dective studied her for a second. Then he removed his hand as he scratched his chin.
"Alright then just wanted to ask been hired to find her. Though good luck on finding you little sister kid"he said as soon enough marrow and nancy walked over.
"Yo old man lets go robyn says that she doens't know where the girl is or swan. But she says their may be possible slaver trade soon with her contacts"nancy said as the detective nodded making his leave with the two.
Once they were far enough away lazuli sighed in relief as she layed her head down. Then robyn walked over smiling laughing a little at the girl plee.
"You know your going to owe me for not ratting you out"robyn said as she took a chair next to her.
"Thank you for that seriously i was freaking out when those three came in"lazuli replied
"I'll bet what are the chance those two mistral detectives and wags come here to see me. "Robyn replied but soon got straight to the point.
"Although i just got a gig thats pretty good right now"robyn replied which sparked lazuli interest immediately. The theif smiled at her nodding her head wondering what the job will be. And the perpertore of the happy huntress den and homeless shelter will gladly help.
Meanwhile on the upper level of atlas was hariet who decided to change out of her ace op uniform. She didn't wanna draw any unnecessary attention walking around in her military unfirom to something less formal. sh e wore a deep blue low cut shirt that shows off some of her clevage along with some form fitting black pants with some simple shoes that woulnd't cramp her feet.
She was currently talking a walk through the streets of atlas as the passerby greeted her while some stared at her. Some of the people up here where in fancier set of dread compared to her. But she soon got to here she was going after walking for another twenty minutes. She soon came to a two story house that was like any other house you'd see on the upper level of atlas. Though it had a small balcony above it with a flower bed to it with a wide variety of flowers. A staircase lead to the front door of the house.
With a sigh she walked up the staircase to the front door and gave three soldier knock before taking a step back. The door opened rather slowly not fully.
"Can i help you?"a women asked
"Hey doc you doing alright as of late?"hariet replied as the door slowly was opened to reveal the person behind it.
The women was about in her mid thrites with light skin with long hair that is wavy, dark blue in color with a set of gold colored yes. She wore an a pair of simple black jeans with a pair of dark brown boots. She also sported a silver colored long sleeve shirt underneath a sciensit jacket colored white. Though she wore a pair of blue trimmed glasses on her face. On her right middle figner she wore a gold ring with a dimond in the middle of it. But in her hair was a caedeus pin colored silver.
This was carmine ascle one of two main researchers on the grimm knights.
"Litenaute what bring you here? Does james want me at the lab?"the women asked as she leaned agaisnt her doorframe.
Hairet shook her head"no i'm actually here to come check up on you"she replied to the researcher surprise as her glass slightly slide down. But she moved them back up sighing as she looked around and motioned for her to step inside.
Once inside she was met by a simple living room in design. Their was walkway wat that lead straight to the lviing room. Their was a decorative fireplace in the room as it was burning right now with a mantle of several pictures. It showed a younger carmine with her mentor doctor merlot. Along with that a picture of the women with her wife and the women son and daughter . A women who she familiar with named Marina Tortuga a retired ace each side of it were some candles to give a soothing smell to it.
Their was also a large bookcase that contained many different genres of books mainly genetics, grimm biology, faunus and human history. Their was also a doorway that lead to a small kitchen close by. Their was also one long couch near where the front door was, while a lounge chair was next to the fireplace and a coffee table with lamps. Their was also a medium size tv here as well which was of. Though hariet noticed how marina and their kids weren't their.
"Where that wife of yours with your kids?"hairet calmly asked to get a conversation started
"Oh they went out to get some thing from the store. Today my day off so i'm enjoying it"carmine replied but narrowed her gaze at hariet.
"Thats nice when they come back later tell them i said hi"hariet said
"Why the hell are you even here bree? What exactly do you need to check up on me for"carmine replied
Hairet sighed as she leaned back in her spot" like i said i wanted to come see how your doing with the recent things that happened at vale and beacon"hairet simply answered
Carmine soften her gaze slightly"your here to ask if i'm upset about the little boy who life i ruined aren't you?"she softly asked as hariet nodded
The good doctor sighed as she walked into the kitchen real quick. Then soon enough she came back with two cups of hot chocolate in each hand. Then she handed one to hariet as she drank it.
It tasted sweet and warm as she let out a delight hum as carmine smiled chuckling.
"Seems the girl scout has a soft spot for hot drinks"carmine replied as she drank hers.
"You aint wrong with the weather outside right now this taste like heaven right now"hariet replied as the two sat in silence for a bit until hairet broke the silence.
"Look i know in the past i was rough on the kid. But look i'm sorry for not being able to save him on time"hariet begun as carmine sighed rubbing her eyes as she lifted her glasses slightly.
"I know you did…it was troubling to hear he actually died during the fall. Along with seeing what happened during the final round. It was upsetting to see him being used like that"carmine replied as she stared into her cup.
"It was seriously i couldn't believe that watts son was their still. Didn't his wife and kid die in some car crash a while back"hariet asked as carmine nodded
"He did but it seems he faked his son death to help him with his expeirments. Those two do share that in genetics…their screwed up sense of science"carmin said as she moved her cup around.
Hariet sighed heavily as she took a drink from her cup then set it down as she spoke.
"Their also what he did after…still can't believe he tried to shoot himself for just busting penny up"hariet said as the doctor went wide eyed at that.
"He tried to kill himself?!"carmine excalimed with worrie as hariet understood why. She blames herself for what happened to his life. How she took it away from him in a way helping with those experiments. It was like another kid she was taking care of, she felt obligated to care for him.
The atleisan nodded"he did..guessing he didn't know penny was a bot. Though heard since she been recovered pietro been working hard on rebuilding her. Along with providing prothesetics to the students who lose a limb with his friend jaki hayley"hariet replied
Carmine jsut rubbed her eyes as a few tears formed the atlesian researcher quickly composed her self as she set her cup down.
"I know…but….with you telling me he finally found his family after soo long when you and marrow got here. I was very happy to hear that, but his poor mother must be going through something horrible right now"she replied as hariet agreed with her.
The atlas specialist walked over as the doctor stared at her. Soon enough she offered a hug as carmine accpeted the embrace. The two sat their for a bit before releasing, then they talked for a while until hariet had to head back to base soon after wondering how marrows search went.
Though across the flaoting city right now at the zoo known as"meangerie gardens" was weiss and her family. The zoo is like any typically zoo you would see in a city. It had enclosures for the animals weather that be hippos, monkeys, panthers, jackals you name it. Though their was also a small aquarium in the zoo as well.
But while their she just explored the aquarium with her mother, brother and carmen who came their to guard them. While klein was their driver but they wanted him to come along. They explored most of the exhibits their as they took a few small pictures together their. Wren was especially excited to see the polar bears because they were his favorite animal it seems. Though whitley kept hanging close by to carmen which didn't go unnoitce by her. But she found it a little cute in a way. Willow though just seemed to be worried about something as she was deep in her scroll for a bit. Until eventually klein took it away so she can focuse on spending time with her kids. The schnee women agreed as she wanted this day to be about them not her.
Right now they were walking through a tunnel as they funneld through it. Though some people did stare at the family which weiss was accustomed to. But still hated being stared at luckily the deep scars on her back were hidden.
Whitley had wren on his shoulder as the young schnee moved side to side on his older brother shoulder.
Carmen had her hands behind her back as she walked"so miss. Schnee where would you like to go next?"she asked as willow chuckled
"Call me willow dear, remember keep the formalities back at the house"Willow reminded as carmen smiled.
"Alright willow, where to next ma'am"she asked again
Weiss giggled"well their one last place we haven't been yet you take a guest"wiess asked her younger brother who smiled
"Big striped cat!"wren exclaimed as the group chuckled a little at his declaration
"Ah young master they would actually be called tigers"klein replied in a sweet but dopey voice as his eyes change color to light blue. But he quickly sneezed as they were back to their normal color.
"He's right, though i'm sure your excited to see it"whitley asked as he looked at wren who grinned nodding yes.
Weiss sighed smiling because this was a nice way to clear her head of everything that happened in the last couple weeks. But she still wonders if she should even be a huntress. With the fall of beacon its made her slightly rethink her career choice. She wanted to become a huntresses to continue her grandafather legacy. Along with maybe running the company someday but change its business pratices and treat faunus with respect. For one she actually doesn't mind faunus at all but her so called father hates them.
"Despite that once we check the big striped cat, we'll return home for the night"willow said as they continued to walk for a few more minutes. Soon enough they got to the new enclosure of the zoo.
Their wasn't many people here as it had started to get a little late right now. But it just set the mood as they had an hour before they would close. Wren immeidailty got off of whitley shoulders as he rushed over to the railing to look at the tiger.
"Whoa"he said as he looked at the tiger as it layed on a patch of grass in its enclosure. It tail wagged around as it looked around at the people staring at it. The visitors were taking pictures with their scroll of the beast.
"I'll say it its quite impresive i'll say"whitley stated

Weiss sighed"today has been nice"She said to herself as she looked to her right.
As she did the heiress went wide eyed as she saw a very familair face here. Their stood falk as he wheeled his mother sora bishop to the railing. Alongside his sister skyler holding her son moe in her arms. When extactly did he get to atlas, and why was he here.
"Told you we'd make it on time mom"falk said
Sora sighed"i know you did dear, though my little grandson is probably more excited than anyone here"she said
"Kitty"moe said pointing toward it as skyler chuckled moving his hand toward the large cat.
"Its a type of kitty sweetie, oh how i wish your father was here right now"skyler replied
Weiss was completely stunned right now seeing the pilot here especially after what her mother said early. Because for a fact she does find falk attractive ever since he danced with her at beacon. But it was quite surprsing he was here at all times. Soon enough falk closed his eyes opening them and looked to his left.
The two eyes met as they stared at each other before screaming in surprise. Which made both their groups looked at them confused and shocked why they were screaming.
"Weiss why are you screaming?"willow asked
"Yeah what did wren put another bug in your hair"carmen added because hes done it few times to her and whitley
Whitley chuckled"no because wren more invested in the tiger"whitley replied gesturing to his little brother who was still in awe of the tiger.
Klein cupped his chin as he made sure to keep wren from falling over the ledge. It does have a forcefield to keep the animals it but he may get trapped in the small spot near the edge of it. But he seemed to figure it out quickly but let it take its course.

"Wait what? How exactly do you know him?"whitley asked his sister but smiled a little.
Weiss fidgeted for a second"uh well you see…we met at beacon is all…he was friends with uh what was her name?"weiss asked trying to recall the girl falk was with. Though soon enough a familair voice called out to the pilot.
"Yo skyguy their you are i've been calling you and you didn't answer my calls"lazuli called out walking over and looked surprised to see weiss here.
Falk titled his head as he pulled his scroll out seeing eleven missed calls from her"oh shoot my bad feathers just wanted to spend time with my family. Though uh hey weiss is here"falk said gesturing to the ice queen as lazuli grinned.
"Oh the girl you danced with back during the vytal dance"lazuli said slyly as the two looked at her with a mix of embrassment and hate for doing that.
Though willow was surrpised to hear this but smiled a little. It seemed someone has peaked the daughter of her interest. While sora was amazed her son managed to peak someone like her interest, especially a schnee none the less.
"Wait you managed to get a dance with a schnee. Smooth move little brother, guess you do have dad charm"skyler playfully teased as falk groaned.
"Yes though i guess this is what winter meant by someone peaking your interest"Whitley added smuggly as weiss glared at him. She wanted to use her glyphs on him to teach him a lesson but didn't want to embarrass her family.
Willow then looked at sora as she itnroduced herself"well beside that i'm willow schnee its nice to meet you miss.."willow begun as sora introduced herself.
"Sora bishop mother of…"sora begun as she coughed a little as falk looked worried at her. He rushed over as he pulled a rag out as he handed her it. The women coughed a little violently into it as she rested it on her lap.
"You good mom?"he asked with a look of worry as weiss looked a little worried
"I am don't worrie about me its just getting cold this time of year"sora replied
Whitley cupped his chin"are you sick miss bishop, sorry i sound rude"whitley replied
"Your okay, mom just going through some stuff right now. Nothing she can't handle"skyler reassured as moe was starting to fall asleep in her arms. Wren was geting tired too as klein picked him up as he layed passed out in his arms.
"Hmm well its seems you might have caught a cold out here. Try wearing more layers next time to make sure your bodie doens't freeze. Along with that maybe get some rest and take some cough medicine. "Whitley simply said as willow sighed smiling.
"I guess you still wanna become a doctor"willow replied as whitley nodded smiling.
Lazuli tapped her foot clearing her throat getting their attention"okay what am i chopped liver, though great to see you again "lazuli said walking over hugging the women who returned it.
"It is though..i've heard what happen to your cousin and father i'm sorry for your lose"sora sadly replied
"Oh i almost forgot you were related to them"weiss sadly said as willow looked at her daughter who had a sadden look.
Lazuli sighed rubbing her eyes"yeah well it aint the first time Z been dead. Auntie probably greving again. Though you heard anything about my baby sister?"lazuli asked weiss who thought for a second. She did recall winter saying neo was in a cargo truck with blake and onxyia, but that was it.
Weiss shrugged her shoulder"other than that she went with blake and onxyia in a cargo truck. Winter told me…they both were in pretty bad shape"weiss sadly replied worried if blake was even still alive.
"Really what happened to those two?"falk qeustioned as the group were beginning to leave the zoo since it would be closing soon. The night sky was out as it told them it would be time to sleep for the night soon.
"Last i heard from winter is that onxyia was in critically condition maybe stable but hurt right now emotional along with vel. Then for blake she…she….lost her arm because of.."weiss tried to finished but froze up as a flash of eria losing her leg entered her mind.
They all mostly stopped to see weiss standing frozen in place. The ice queen of beacon had a small tear well up in her eye as she hugged herself.
"Hey you okay?"lazuli questioned
"Yes umm dear do you need a minute to compose yourself?"sora asked
Willow walked over to her daughter with worry"sweeite whats wrong?"she asked
Weiss shivered"its….adam tarrus took her arm…and…now…eria lost her leg because me"weiss replied sadly as the two theifs didn't know of this.
"Wait she lost her leg, oh man hope your teams doing alright cousin"lazuli replied as whitley and willow quickly figured out who her cousin was. Though falk looked at weiss with a somber look as he walked over kneeling infront of her. She looked at him embarrassed that he seeing her like this.
"Hey look you can't save everyone sometimes. Though i'm sure that cat faunus is alright wherever she is. Also do you really think your fellow ice queen blames you for her loss of limb"falk said to her as he knew the answer
Weiss looked away thinking for a moment"umm..no..its just..if i gotten their quicker i could have saved her leg"she replied
But falk slightly karate chop her on the head"quit beating yourself down over it, she still alive thanks to you. Thats gotta mean something right?"he asked with a smile
The ice queen went wide eyed relizing he was right in a way. Her friend is still alive because of ehr, but she just hopes she doens't blame her for the loss of limb. But part of her knows thats not true. Soon enough weiss composed herself as she sighed.
"Thank you for that"she simply thanked
"Eh no problem got my dad silver tongue"falk stated as he walked backwards for a bit before falling back into a trashcan. He struggled for a bit as he kicked his legs.
"Little help?"he asked his voice echoing as they looked at each other before laughing a little. Carmen and lazuli helped the guy out of the trashcan to reveal an embarrassed falk. Though soon enough the two groups bidded each other goodbye for the day. Not before willow gave sora her contact info to come by sometimes. She was shocked by this but she reassured her it was fine as a thanks and maybe discuss a few things.
Then they left each other for the night returing to their homes ready for the next day. Though a thought crossed the ice queens mind about what falk said. That isn't wasn't her fault for eria loss of limb and she did save her. But part of her still felt a little guilty for it, though maybe her mother could help her with her summoning. Though for falk and lazuli in the coming days the two have a new job to find some info on someone
