Chapter 18 Blue:Epliogue-Whats next
Thanks to everyone efforts they managed to rebuildi the base. Along with capturing all of hassan men that attack the base. Though some of them died from the soilders stationed here because they had no choice. But his forces are still around the city. Tulip and some officers took back their main base of operations for the police.
Though they said they'll keep it as a secondary base since it is deep in grimm territory. They should be back soon but everyone right now mainly the students were celebrating. It took them a few hours to clean up everything.
But they also had to say goodbye those they lost today. All the Atlas soilders, Desparsdos, Vale City Police officer and many others were lost. They had a small monument for them in the middle of the camp.
Nezumi placed her friends and comrades dog tags with many others on their. To honor those they lost today for the fight against the grimm and their master.
Zane and everyone were in the mess hall celebrating a little. Along with Glynda, nezumi, the squad leader that remained of the despardos.
"Man I can't beleive we just fought an army of grimm off and helped save part of vale"nebula said in disbelief at their chuckled as she wrapped her arm around nebula.
Leon chuckled as he sat their with them"believe it kid, you all did some good today. Though we lost two good men today. To Liam and Dylan and to those we lost"leon said toasting his drink to the fallen.
Everyone said in unison at once"to the fallen!"they all said in unison.
Zane smiled a little as he stared at the table. He had his side bandaged up a little. Peach looked over him early and said he should rest later. But at this point he probably broke half his ribs while attending beacon.
Coco broke her arm but luckily with Ross and Peach help. They treated it before it could become infected. She had a sling on her arm and had to wear it for a week.
"Though we all did get pretty banged up from this"coco added wincing a little with her broken arm.
Velvet was close by being a worry wort checking over her arm several times. The girl did have some knowledge in medicine and she kept checking it to see if it was ok so ay.
"Are you okay? Do you need ice? Do you want a piliow?'velvet quickly asked with several other question. Faba laughed a little as coco smiled at the bunny faunus.
"I'm alright Bun now sit down before you pass out"Coco ordered as velvet did just that while nervously smiling worried about her teammate.
"Though what was hassan plan exactly?"dew asked as she held a cup of water.
She was right what was that madman plan. Probably something to do but he wanted to retrieve him for some reason.
"Don't know kid when tulip gets back we'll know"celeste added as she tried to pick up her drink. But then it fell over and she looked annoyed. Sandra laughed a little as her face was a little suggesitng she was drunk.
"Ha ha ha…you spilled your drink"sandra said laughing a stared at the racoon faunus before reaching down with her one good arm. Then she stroke the girls tail as sandra shivered.
"Mhmm do it again"sandra said before leon got up in between the two. Then he grabbed the racoon faunus taking her out. He lifted her onto his shoulders as he carried her out.
"Their are kids here be appropriate sandra"leon said as he took the drunk racoon faunus out of the mess hall. Sandra was just laughing a little while she looked woozy.
"Man this place will get crazy once we get spidey over here drunk on coffee"faba joked pointing toward nezumi. But trifia also looked over a little concerned.
"Hey coffee may do that to me but don't try it"trifa warned along with a glare from nezumi. The old man let out a hearty laugh along with port.
Xander was in the corner looking a little sad. Akasha and Jae where with him. Rob was taking a nap in the medical tent he got hurt during the fight. Akasha drank her glass of water then looked at xander in distress.
"Whats up wolf ,be happy we won today"akasha said jabbing the kids shoulder. Xander almost spilled hied his drink as he propped his leg up.
"Umm that man over their"Xander said pointing toward DJ who was drinking a bottle of liquor happily.
"Yeah what about him"jae added confused
Xander fidgeted for a bit before looking at them"he was the man…I…I shot during the robbery….I parlized him….and now he lost both his leg….because of me"xander said to the two who looked at him.
Akasha put her hand on his shoulder to pressure him"look kid why don't you tell him tomorrow alright. It'll be easier after today"Akasha suggested
Xander looked down then gave a small nod telling her he would do that.
Zane was deep in thought as glynda was close to him discussing a few things with Nezumi.
"Hmm do you know what hassan plan was probably?"nezumi asked
Glyna shook her head at the spider faunus"I don't have a clue, I assume he wanted to destory the base. Then allow the grimm to run rampant around the city. For his other plans I do not know, but why did he send conri away"glynda wondered
Zane sighed as he spoke up"he sent him to menagerie. "Zane simply said as the two looked at him.
Everyone else was with them as mostly everyone went out to clean up the base. It was still in ruin but they wanted to rest for a bit.
"Wait how do you know that?"octavia asked pointing at him wondering where he got that information.
"He…hassan though he was winning. Then he told me something that worries me"zane replied a little worried. He clasped his hands looked at him relziing that whatever he was planning it was bad.
"How bad are we talking?"Cardin asked with a serious tone.
Zane took a deep breath"He sent conri there to attack the people of Menagerie with the White Fangs help. Apparently the faunus their have been preparing to strike back against the White Fang. "Zane replied as they all got quiet a little.
"Wait that would mean their going to kill the belladonna family"trifia added in.
"Oh no blake"velvet added very concern
"And my sister"xander added worried which Zane and velvet shared with him.
Glynda then thought for a moment"hmmm we'll have to send a team their to assist them. Though Conri was spotted their last night. Once tulip gets back we should have more information. "Glynda said
But as she said that said swat captain stepped into the mess hall. Although she brought a friend who seemed to be an old group were a little surprised to see her here already back.
"Tulip you back already that was fast"paul said as he drank some tea.
"Yeah, and guess who I found thats been missing for ten years"tulip said as the old man stepped forward. The atlas captain from before wanting to kill zane spat his drink out on the floor.
" !"he shouted as this got everyone attention. But zane started to feel a sharp pain in his head. That name sounded familiar to him, like he knew him.
"yes ,that is me I'm assuming that bastard hassan is dead"Merlot replied with malice in his voice.
"Yeah along with diego"gwen added a little sad. When she saw his face the guy looked like he regretted his actions. That changed her view on a few of the grimm knights especially hers on zanes.
Merlot sighed at this"may he rest in peace alone with Aarne. Those two and a few other didn't want part in the experiments that man and I performed on them. Although most of them were willing volunteer"he said with regret.
Their eyes lit up a little especially Zane. He stared at the doctor with anger it seems. He clenched his fist and the doctor felt a presence that radiated hate toward him. Merlot turned to see Zane their. He adjusted his mechanical eye for a bit as is clicked a little.
Instead of saddenese he smiled at the boy"wait is that…you..zane?'he asked curiously.
"Yeah what is it too you, here to do more sick experiment's on me along with watts?"zane asked as his back moved a little. He walked over as this happen getting in the doctors face.
"Hey calm down cousin"Vance said as he rested his hand on zane back. Then he recoiled feeling something move underneath there. His face spelled confusion and disgust.
"Look I wanted no part in those experiment. Watts kidnap me and my apperictance one . We both specilaized in genetics and grimm biology. Though if your hoping for weakness against the knights of grimm. Their aren't many it seems"he began as he sat down staring at zane.
"Though i'm happy the one subject that had a unique relationship with one of the Chimera"merlot replied as zane and some of the other looked at him. What exactly is this chimera their talking about.
"What are you talking about?"zane asked is he talking about his semblance.
"Umm kid you may want to relax before he drops something on you"bane voice rang in his head.
Zane narrowed his gaze as he started to not trust this guy now. He did help him solve some issues in his head but now he seems to be hiding something.
"Oh no..oh no…shut your dam mouth bane. "Zane said outloud as everyone looked at him a little concern.
"Who are you talking to?"gwen asked a little worried
"Alright guess he went crazy in that coma"akasha added
Xander groaned"great my sister boyfriend is a psycho….awesome"xander said
"Umm please tell me your not insane…please"vlvet replied with worrie
"Hey when did you go coo coo"gwen said spinning her finger around her head.
"Yeah you alright or did that coma screw your head up man"cardin added
"Kid let me take control I can ex-"bane said as zane interrupted him.
"Shut the hell up you dam parasite…..wait a minute."Zane said as he slowly relzied something.
Then he thought about the memories he experienced. In the lab memorie,Bane looked sad about that day it seemed but he didn't see what was put in his back.
Zane then frantically took off his shirt, throwing it to the ground. He stood there shirtless as he tried to look at his back. He looked like a psycho but soon as he turned around they looked at his back.
Something was moving underneath his skin as white lines with blue veins glowed near his scars. Some strange looking small bulge was near his long scar on his back. His back buldged a little as it moved around.
"Ummm what is that?!"nezumi shouted really confused.
"Their is something under your skin….i'm gonna be sick"earl said as he fell over passing out. Opehlia rolled her eyes as the guy was being a drama queen.
"Ok seriously….I think i'm gonna puke"dew said turning away a little disgusted.
" I suggest you relax right now"glynda suggested
"Oh hell no,get this thing out of my back now…..i'm not having some grimm take control of me"zane retorted as he tried to find something to get that thing out of likely a knife or something sharp.
"I wouldn't suggest that, their would be dire consequences"merlot suggested with worry.
"Really why, I woke up from a month coma. Then I hear a voice in my head I feel like at this point i'm going insane"zane replied really not liking his situation.
"Because if you do then you would be dead right now, since you've been bounded for eight years now"merlot stated seriosuly as Zane looked at him as he crossed his arms.
"Kid look….I wanted to wait to tell you. But…guess it time here let me take control"bane begged a sighed as he let him do just that. Then his eyes changed to crimson as Bane walked over picking up his shirt slipping it on.
Then he looked toward Merlot who was surprised. He narrowed his gaze to examine him and seemed to be surprised.
"Incredibly you attain symboise without submitting to your grimm nature,remarkably"merlot said as the other started to wonder if they were feeling left out.
"Okay wait a minute old man what are you talking about?"Coco questioned confused
"Its simple girl, me and this one here share a bond. To put it in simple terms, I'm different compared to the others. More likely the good doctor here can explain"bane replied as they looked at him.
"It is bad I miss the dumb one"nebula smugly said.
"Hmph no ''octavia addded as a few of them laughed. Vance read banes' mind to see what zane was saying.
"Hey zane says you guys can bite him"vance relayed information to the others.
"Wait, he 's talking right now?"opehlia asked still kinda feeling out of the loop.
"In a way yes right now he is saying many curse words. Here i'll let him come back"bane said as he let zane gian control again. His eyes turned to dark blue again.
"You guys fucking suck"zane said stairng at them annoyed. Now he's even more a freak first he can turn into a giant monster, second being part grimm, third now he has multiple personality.
Velvet slowly raised her hand to ask merlot a question it seems and the geneticist pointed toward her.
"Yes dear"merlot asked
"Umm okay this is all confusing. Why did you guys even do that to people seriously. It isn't normal. "velvet questioned.
"Also you did that to my boyfriend jerk"she added with a glare
Merlot sighed heavily looking at the group"I had no choice he threatened my life and my assistance family. Watts told me at first we were going to create weapons to defeat grimm. That everyone were volunteered for it. But when I started seeing children involved we had to do something"merlot began.
"Luckily blew the whistle on the lab some of the subjects were kept at. Though he left one behind that being omega. He was a special case in a way, did you bring the files I had with me from the station"merlot said
"Uh yeah doc, why do you need them or something"Tulip said handing him a small dossier to him. She pulled it from a small folder she had with her.
He opened the folder as he set it on the table as the group got a little interested. They've seen many things and if they could get an edge on the grimm knights they might as well take it. But zane just hated this a little because now he learns he has a grimm in his back.
The group looked at the pictures examining them seeing dossiers on about thirteen different names on each of them. They range from alpha, gamma, zeta, epsilon, beta, sigma, Theta, Tau, Omicron, upsilon, Psi, Iota, then lastly omega. But most of the name didn't even have pictures
But a picture was in the middle and it looked to be a long thin like grimm creature. But it seemed to have tendrils on its back that were red with a white bone mask near the top. Their was a set
Of eyes on the mask glowing red.
"Ok this is getting creepy"yuma added not exactly pleased that hes now apart of this.
"Yeah seriously…that's what in your back. Ughh kinda ugly"coco added
Zane rolled his eyes"bane told me say up your or whatever"he replied as he slowly put his jacket on.
"Huh guess it got your jokes too great"octavia said as she rested her hand on her face.
"Doctor Merlot don't you have information about what their planning on doing?"tulip asked
"I'll get to that i'm providing clarity to the young man right their. You may think omega is dangerous he is much different from his siblings"merlot stated as he flipped the folder to another page. Their it showed two of those strange creature. But something was off because one was pure white with blue lines around it, as gylnda noticed it with silver eyes. This peeked her interest on why ozpin enrolled him.
"Wait that one different"dew pointed out as merlot nodded
"Yes, that my dear is omega, sort of like the black sheep of the family in the way. At first when we began our experiments for some reason when you were in the grimm form of yours. You'd attack grimm it seems though you still had to urge to attack humans at times. But refused to kill them"merlot explained
"Oh my remnant am I dreaming still"Zane asked. Akasha walked over pinching him and he flicnehd.
"Huh guess not…man wolf ears and rabbit ears got some weird taste in men"Akasha replied
"Hey i'm not that weird just…well….unique"Zane replied not exactly helping his situation right now.
"Not really helping your situation"velvet bluntly said to his announce
"Despite that doctor you have information about what the white fang along with hassan mysterious benefactor was planning next"tulip said again to shift it to what is at stakes.
"Yes sorry, from what I learned from my time their. Hassan has sent Conri to assist the white fang in taking a resistance movement against the white fang. Apparently your friends their have decided to rise up against the white fang and bring it back to its old ways. "Merlot replied
"Wait you mean like when they did peaceful protests before they became murders"yuma asked a little surrpsied. They weren't the only ones trying to change the image of the white fang.
"Indeed, thought their more to why they want to stop them isn't their?"glynda asked
"The white fang are planning to target Haven academy"merlot replied
The entire group was shocked a little at hearing that. Would they be doing the same thing they did to Vale and Beacon. Which meant they probably try to bring misery and sadness to the city.
"Wait are they going to do what they did to the city here?"May questioned worried a little.
"Yeah I rather not go through that again please"Gwen said a little scared.
"No their target is something much more troublesome. Haven lacks security measure and with their staff busy with what happened at Beacon. Their may be no one to stop them"merlot added
"Well it does house the CT Tower their if thats why if they destory it then the Anima would lose communication"opehlia pointed out.
"Thats why their attacking to cut communication and cause panic. Then more grimm will come, we need to get their before the attack happens"velvet said worried.
"The problem is we don't know when the attack is. But right now if their are people trying to stop the attack from happening. Though right now it will take conri a few days to get their. He's stubborn and likes to travel on foot. You have two options go to Haven to wait for the attack or save the leaders of this new white fang"merlot replied
Zane stared at the doctor thinking for a moment as bane voice rang in his head.
"I know where you wanna go kid, you want to save your girl since your others one here."bane said to him.
"Yeah, I do I need to make sure shes alright then check on the twins. "Zane thought to himself talking to bane.
Zane soon stepped forward as he stared at the doctor and glynda.
"I'm going to the menagerie to help save the new white fang leaders. If we have their support we can save Haven CT Tower. We can stop who ever incharge of the terrorist cell in the new white fang"zane said
"Ummmm it's ollie now from what I heard"Yuma said as the group looked at him.
"Oh right your all ex white fang"Cardin casually everyone looked at some of the faunus with surprise it seems.
"God dammit cardin"yumi said outloud elbowing him in the felt his side as he split some secretive ifnromaiton again.
"Wait their all white fang!?"Gwen shouted
"Ummm now I feel nervous"Dew added
The atlas captain and tulip slowly presented a pair of handcuffs. But then nezuim glared at them. Then the two officers put them down.
"Their better be a dam good reason why you left"nezumi asked. Then the faunus started to explain why they left the white fang. How ollie weaver took over the white with the new rule to kill any faunus who leave the group. But along with explaining they helped save people during the fall to redeem themselve.
Glyna looked a little intrigued from their tale and smiled"you know an old friend of mine before I took his place used to have a saying. That sometimes you need to give others a chance to redeem themselves. If their willing to accept their actions that means they relize their mistakes and their ready to fix them"glynda stated remembering ozpin her old friend who passed now.
"Hmm alright since your little group did protect Vale and keep those civilians safe. I'll let this slide since your all just normal members in the group"tulip said as yuma and trifia stayed quiet.
"Despite that beside mr graves who will go?"port asked, looking toward the group. They all looked at each for a bit contemplating their decision. Soon Trifia stepped up from the crowd walking past them.
"I can end some of our people with you and whoever else wants to go. But me and yuma will head to vacou to help find any local cells their. Their may be a few their planning an attack on shade when their done with havan "trifa added
"Wolf ears junior and me are going to see his sister along with making fun of said sister"akasha added ruffling Xander's head. He frowned at this as he groaned.
"That goes for me as well"Jae added raising a hand in excitement.
"Well me and my team would love to come. But we seriously need a break from all this. Though we'll keep your guys secrets safe"nebula said reasrruing them.
"Yeah least we could do since i've been a jerk to lynx ears over here"Gwen added
"I also want to see my family right now so i'm out"dew added
"And I got plans for the rest of break"octavia added
Team NDGO seemed to lose some of that snarky and smug attitude of theirs toward others hopeuflly.
"I'll go with you, i wanna stop these guys before they do what they did in vale."cardin said produly as he wanted to go before for his teammates.
"Really you might tackle more grimm hybrids along with White Fang and mysterious force"Zane joked
"Yeah well's what another few days of it. Who know it'll be fun, plus we'll see our friends maybe"cardin said
"I'll go too if Yahto is with them I wanna make sure he's okay"yumi added as she leaned against cardin smirking at him. Their might be another reason the panda faunus might wanna go.
"Alright, who else?"Zane questioned, looking at everyone.
"You know that wolf owes me a rematch…plus i've always wanted to explore mistral and menagerie"may added wanting to join in.
"What about nolan?"Earl said waking up now as Ophelia pulled him up from the ground the best she could.
May looked down a little sighing"Could you two please do me a favor and watch out for him. Explain to him i'm….getting payback for our teammates for Brawnzi and Roy"may replied with a small smile.
Opehlia sighed as she walked over hugging the girl but she winced a little since she did get banged up. Opehlia then let go may go stepping back.
"Fine we promise…but come back alive…please"opehlia said with May nodding gently
"You know my answer cousin its a defiant yes. Though I also wanna see Neo, I have a gift for her. Along with another for Zoey and Auntie"vance said
"Let me guess its me"Zane asked with vance chuckling a little nodding yes. But he also had something else for Neo in his bag. He was sure she'd love something that their father always wore on him.
"i'll go too, obviously to check up on wolfie to make sures she alright"velvet sweetly said
"But Bun it may be dangerous and you can get hurt. I don't wanna lose another teammte"coco said but velvet sighed before trying one thing on her teammate the bunny one thing can hypnotize anyone, their even on par with ruby.
"Ughhh fine….i'm going to i rather not lose you too. Plus gotta make sure my teammates in safe hands"coco said
"Okay then thats our little group, but what about naca she might wanna go. Should we check with her?"Zane said
"We shall, she is with that Eden girl right now. She hasn't left her bed side at all it seems"glynda
"Well she is piper's sister"zane replied as the beacon students ears perked up. They recalled a certain uras grimm faunus from a while back.
"You mean that adorable little grimm bear faunus"coco added squealing a little
"Ok seriously what is up with your school having grimm hybrids?"nebula questioned.
They all shrugged their shoulder not exactly knowing how to explain it. Ozpin just allows certain people to come. He works in mysterious ways it seems. The group decided to relax a little and process this information while Zane,cardin,coco,velvet, may,Xander, Akasha, Glynda and vance went check on the girl.
In the medical tent near the corner was Ross and Peach examining Eden. Their were alot of people their right now but most of them were already treated by now. Along with other medics in their camp treating them.
The bear faunus was sleeping soundly in her bed. Her chest barely rised a little but the doctor and professor where doing some check ups on her. Ross was busy checking her iv drip to get her necessary fluids to rehydrate her body.
The girl seemed to have acute malnutrition which suggest her rapid loss in weight. But the SDC collar was still wrapped around her neck as they were busy trying to figure out how to get it off.
Peach had a small clip board in her hand as she check things off. She wrote something down before looking up at the girl and her friend. Miyuki sat in a chair smiling a little, happy her best friend is alive.
"Ok, your friend will be okay. Though she is severely malnourish, it will take her time to recover her strength. She will need some bed rest along with taking some vitamins and mineral to gain back the nutrients she lacks."peach said as she clipped the clipboard in front of eden bed.
"How long will that be?"naca asked as she leaned against a counter in the tent. She had her arms crossed a little worried it seems.
Ross cupped his chin for a moment"A couple days at least till she can walk around and do some minor task. But that would only work if that damn collar wasn't on her"ross replied
Soon enough Zane and the others with him walked into the medical tent. As they did the four looked at them as they walked toward them. Miyuki quickly got up running over and embracing zane who was caught off guard by this.
The guy flinched a little because she squeezed a little too tight because he still had another broken rib.
"Oh wow cheating on your girl like that for shame"akasha playfully teased with vance,cardin,coco laughing.
"Ha ha very funny"zane said as he winced a little.
"Thank you…thank you for saving Eden. "miyuki said softly as she slowly let go of him in the embrace. Zane sighed as he sat down rubbing his side.
"You must be very happy to see her again"may pointed out as miyuki gently nodded.
"Yeah, i'm pretty sure her little sister and aunt will be happy to see them. I wonder how their doing right now"miyuki said.
Piper was at the oprhangae that his mom ran but he was curious how she was doing. She probably was greiivieng again after losing him a second time. With the CT tower down here its hard to communicate around the place.
"I'm sure shes alright"velvet added ressurring the girl who smiled.
"First lets get this off here"yumi said as she pulled some small device from her pocket. She pulled a wire out and plug it into the collar.
"What is that?"Cardin asked
"Hacking device, made it for that one their when he goes out on his little missions"yumi replied
"Hey their useful dealing with collars those slavers put on people"vance added
After a few minutes typing and coding, a beeping sound could be heard from the collar. Then the latches undid themselves it seems. Ross bent down taking the collar off as he set it on a nearby table.
"Their we are one SDC collar removed"yumi replied as Miyuki smiled a little happy that things off her.
"But despite that we got something to tell you"Vance added
Miyuki along with naca looked at the group. Ross and peach went to check on the others patients as the group talked. Glynda looked aorund relzizing they might have to go somewhere else to have their little meeting.
"Children why don't we go somewhere else to discuss this"glynda pointed out as they wondered what they meant by that. But they didn't argue with her as glynda led them to the barracks. It was number seven and she looked around making sure they weren't follow.
The group sat around on some bed while others stood their wondering why she wanted to meet here.
"Alright whats up, you seem to be on…edge"Coco pointed out.
Glynda looked at the group then slowly looked at Naca and Miyuki.
"Do you trust these people with your secret dear?"glynda questioned to everyone confusion. Miyuki looked around the room at a few she didn't know. But zane seemed to trust them and she took a deep breath.
Then she stood up as she activated her maiden powers. Her eyes had a flame around them that was light blue. They all looked at her a little confused what this meant.
"Alright her semblance gives her blue flames around her eyes so what"may asked leaning back in her bunk.
"Have you all heard of the tale of the four maidens. Each representing a season"glynda asked as she got some confused looks.
"Yeah. They were also called guardians in a some tales. How they all had mystical powers that no other human or faunus had"velvet answered which got glynda attention.
"Well…what if I told that they also described to be protectors. But as healers, warrior, and heroes throughout the four kingdoms. They describe having extraordinary gifts that make the guardians of each kingdom in a way"glynda replied as they listened.
"Okay, why does this sound like its going somewhere?"Xander asked
Glynda took a deep breath"They all have the powers of each season. Summer, Winter,Fall and spring. Their all unique in their own way. But do you know that when someone dies their powers are passed on to the person they thought of next"glynda said as the group slowly pieced it together.
While Akasha, Zane and xander understood what she meant.
"Your grandmother died….was she the winter maiden?"akasha said as the groups eyes widden.
"Wait that fairy tale is real"cardin asked a little shocked with everyone else a little shocked too.
Yumi tapped her side of her head with her fignering thinking.
"So that would mean she's the next winter maiden. Why are you telling us this?"Yumi asked
"Because someone is after her and the other seasonal maidens. They already got one which was…Cinder"naca said closing her eyes.
"Yes, but right now were asking your group. Especially all of you to keep this hidden. Their are dangerous people after her. I'm asking you to keep her safe on your journey if she wishes to join you"glynda asked
"What are you talking about?"miyuki asked as she deactivated her maiden powers.
"Were heading to menagerie to stop a white fang attack. Then heading to mistral to save Haven Academy"coco answered
Miyuki stood their for a moment contemplating it along with Naca who was surprised to hear something like that.
"Wait what? That means Bashira, Bombay and Thisitie are in trouble. Oh no"naca said with worry as she cradled her head.
The winter maiden thought for a moment before glancing at everyone. Then she took a deep breath as she was ready to answer them.
"I'll go with to menagerie, I want to get Eden back to her sister. Then after that I don't know what i'm doing after that"miyuki replied
Naca looked at her sighing"I'm coming to gotta protect you since my leader said so. Along with that making sure their safe"naca added joining the group on their way to mistral.
"Ok guess thats everyone, we have about a five days until conri gets to menagerie. If he's traveling by foot he'll probably take a boat. With him walking thats maybe two or three days and by other means two more days….maybe"Yumi said
"Good gives us time to get our strength back and prepare"zane added stoicly.
"Alright then I suggest you recuperate for now. Those who are heading back to vacou will leave in two days. I'll notify theodore of your little mission. "Glynda said as she dimmissed the group. They all went to rest and prepare for their next assignment.
Zane walked over looking toward the sea from the docks of the camp. He knew that menagerie was a day away by airship. But now he had time to get his strength up, after that he's looking for his teammates.
"Eria, Rogue where ever you two are I hope your safe and i'm coming for you. And Onxyia…hang in there i'm coming to you soon"he thought as he stared at the blue sea smiling.
In another part of the world Betty just returned from her mission in Vale as she skipped exting through the black portal where tyrina was waiting for her. But his stinger was different as it looked mechanical now.
"Well their you are …how did Hassan task go"Tyrian said as he cackled with his voice.
Betty hummed at him"hmm he failed but they planned to igtergate him. He killed himself though"betty rpelied as Tyirian cackled.
"Guess Arthurs thugs do have their uses"tyrian said as the two walked into and opened a giant the door.
The door to the throne opened to Athur watts and Lamia near salem. They all waited but the witch simply gazed out the window with a rather stoic look on her face.
"I take it the huntress and huntsman camp was eliminated?"salem asked
"No mistress, hassan failed along with Diego dying as well"betty replied smiling.
Salem turned to the girl with anger on her face at what she heard"so your saying he failed pitfully I knew he was useless"salem said looking toward Watts.
Watt sighed in regret"I'm sorry ma'am that he let you down. Now their probably integrating him and figuring out our–"watts begun as Salem stared at him not to finish that sentence.
He stopped but Betty seemed to hum at that"Oh they didn't get the chance he killed himself before he even spoke to them about our plans. Though I bring good news"betty added
Watts seemed happy that his employee didn't spill anything about their plans it seems. While Salem looked at the women with intrigued.
"It better be good news girl"Arthur snipped
"Oh it is those dumb maidens your looking for. Found one which seems to the winter maiden from the looks of it. She has blonde hair and blue eyes"betty said. Salem looked at the girl with a stoic face then it turned into a small smile like she was glad.
"Excellent Betty. You and your partner seem to be proving you worth"salem replied
"Along with Bonnie recovering finally from that scuffle with Ruby. She and the other three are well on their way to Haven by now"salem added as she looked back out the window.
"Along with that ma'am i'll continue my other objective with our freind in Haven. "Arthur replied bowing to salem. Then he got up as he left.
"What about my honey and that hazel guy ma'am"betty asked
"Their task is of no concern to you right now. For now I want you to look one Bombay Sage and Naca Vincent. Eliminate both of them without mercy. Tyrian head to mistral to assit Hazel and Clay. "salem ordered as she bowed before making her leave. And Tyrian joined her to leave his queen alone.
Salem turned back to the window as lamia brought her glass with red liquid in it , probably wine or blood picked it up taking a small sip from it then swallowing it.
"Tell me Ozpin…are your warrior ready against mine"salem said as she smirked seeing more grimm come out from the dark pools as a nevermore swopped down and crowed. With a few figures watching the creatures emerge from the pits
This closing to the volume was interesting as the group learned about the four maidens. But zane discovered the voice that helped him was a grimm inside his back...known as a chimera. Till next time see you in the other chapters!
