Chapter 19 teal:A familiar faunus
They were traveling through the woods for a good half hour right now. But they did run into some trouble that being a few grimm that attack them. Luckily lazuli delat with them quickly along with weiss who used her glyphs. But eria was starting to feel dizzy from her concussion. While falk leg was put in a splint it still didn't hurt.
Though he was also annoyed if this guy was even leading them somewhere.
"Uggh hey mysterious stranger how long until we get their?"falk questioned annoyed
Adam thought for a moment then answered"i don't know i've stayed away from them just incase. But were close i think"he replied
"You think? We need medical attention now her head wound might worsen"Weiss stated with worries as eria was barely conscious panting right now. Lazuli noticed this as she decided they should rest for a few minutes
"Lets rest for a bit, also lets check on that head wound"lazuli said
"Agreed, maybe give her some water it might help"adam suggested as he set falk down but he winched a little from his leg wound. Weiss guided eria to a nearby rock looking over her head wound. The banaged was stained in blood slowly but the bleeding stopped. But eria head wobbled around a little as she squinted her eyes.
Lazuli grabbed a canteen walking over giving her it as she began to drink some water. Once done she handed it back to her.
"Thank you"eria thanked as lazuli nodded
"No problem though…"lazuli begun as she snapped her finger infront of eria a few times as she slightly reacted by it.
Though weiss looked at the cloaked stranger looking at her and she felt creeped out.
"Why are you staring at me?"weiss questioned as lazuli turned toward him with stinger at the ready. Along with falk raising his machine pistol at him. Adam hung his head down hiding his face.
"Nothing…surprised seeing the shcnee heiress out here is all. Thought you'd be with your faunus hating father"adam replied with malice it seems.
Weiss wanted to say he wasn't her father anymore but didn't want this stranger to get the wrong idea. If he found out he may just want to return her to her father for a reward. Falk pirmed his gun at the man head.
"Well too bad shes with us, deal with it quit asking questioned"falk warned.
"Yeah it'll be good for you whoever you are? Whats your name anyway?"lazuli questioned because its been thirty minutes now. But she noticed something on their walk a small glimpse of his face. She saw a white fang mask underneath that hood. Along with that voice awfully sounding like adam tarrus. She met him a few times with that spider faunus he hung out with.
He visible backed up slightly as he tried to come up with an answer"my name is…chase bones"adam replied as lazuli narrowed her gaze stepping forward keeping her wrist mounted crossbow trained on him.
Weiss was a little confused why she was doing this to him because he helping them right now. Though weiss looked closer at the man hip more importantly the weapon. It slightly peaked out but she relized who weapon that was…adam tarrus.
"Its adam tarrus!"weiss shouted immediately summoning a glyph at him. Adam quickly unsheathed his sword as he blocked a fireball shot at him. Though his cloak was burned off as he threw it to the winds. Not a second later lazuli rushed at him as their swords clashed with sparks flying.
"You…you bastard! So this is where you were hiding!"lazuli shouted in rage
Adam grunted as he pushed her back raising his katana"look you need to understand i.."he begun before a hail of bullets where shot at him from falk.
"Shut the hell up your terrorist, what you here to kill weiss?"falk questioned as he continued to fire at him. Adam blocked the bullets and strikes from lazuli as his blade glowd red. Weiss noticed this as she summoned a black glyph underneath her launching her foward. She raised her sword as she slashed at adam side.
He went flying slightly as he tumbled to the ground, but as he did his weapon fell out of his hands. Weiss got up noticing this grabbing it before he did what he did to blake.
"Your not doing what you did to blake again"weiss stated as she looked at adam but was surprsied.
The faunus terrorist just visable looked upset at that as he stood up looking away. She noticed he seemed to have a look of regret across his face despite the mask.
Adam sighed"look i don't mean any harm just let me explain then we can–"adam begun but was met by lazuli using her semblance to sock him across the face. The faunus fell down hard as lazuli quickly placed his hands behind his back.
"Heh guess thats one of the bastards that took my dad away from me. Now what to do with you"lazuli said as adam grunted on the ground trying to break free from her grip.
"I understand you hold ill will toward me but if you–"he begun but she planted his face in the ground.
"Shut up! You don't get a say in this murder. Along with that your our prisoner now got it"lazuli stated as weiss looked at adam weapon in hand before placing it with falk. He nodded as he tucked it close making sure he didn't get it.
But with eria she was holding her head as she could barely hear anything right now. Her head was pounding as she stood up wobbling a little. She kept panting with a sense of dizzyness over her.
"Wait maybe we should question him? Because…this is weird"weiss commented to their confusion
"How is this weird we got a known terrosit here in our grasp. Hey he's also worth fifty thousand lien maybe we can cash in on him"falk replied
Lazuli shook her head"oh no i'm getting payback for my dad he took away. If we never got roped into that job with them he'd still be here"lazuli said pointing wisp at his head but weiss walked over pulling her arm away.
"Weiss what the–"lazuli begun but she stopped her.
"Look i am your employer and as your employer. I order you not to shoot him, we have two people wounded. They need medical attention along with that…why would he be out here?"weiss asked
"What are you talking about? He's probably scouting for his white fang buddies"falk replied
"Actaully…i'm ex white fang now…i left after the fall"adam corrected to the three shock why he would leave. But they weren't going to believe him right now for everything he's done.
Lazuli wasn't buying it though"oh really? Why should we believe you all we know your leading us into a trap?"lazuli retorted
"Okay but why did he react to me saying that i wouldn't let him do what he did to blake early?"weiss questioned as adam flinched a little at that looking down with saddness. Falk noticed this because that wasn't acting. He studied the guy face seeing him upset it seems.
With a heavy heart he spoke"look feathers…shes right just i'll keep his weapon before he trys anything. Plus eria is….eria?"falk begun looking over at eria as she fell to the ground passing out. Lazuli went wide eyed getting off adam rushing over shaking her.
"No..no..no please don't be dead…you gotta stay awake"lazuli begged as adam slowly stood up. He looked at the sight before walking over as he slouched over picking her up.
Before she said anything adam spoke first"Okay look i'll lead the way but we need to hurry, your friends needs medical attention now"adam stated as they agreed on that. But before they could even make a move a loud gunshot went off.
They all stood frozen as about eleven people aimed their weapons at them. Along with the clicking of a gun from a small hill close by.
"Not a single move terrorist, the rest of you step away from the heiress"a female voice said
They looked to see someone who was maybe in her late thirties with a slender frame is seems along with her long dark blue hairt that reached her shoulder with red eyes. Her skin was pale like she was drained of blood and their was a scar on her lip. But a noticeable trait was her bat ears on her head colored black. She wore a pair of brown jeans and marron long sleeve with a black vest with fur on it. She had a bandolier across her chest along with greaves on her legs with brown hiking boots.
Though her eye had a dark blue haze around her right eye. But she carried a sniper rifle that seems simliar to a m14 EBR. it had a fang hanging off the scope to the side.
"We don't mean harm look we have wounded and.."lazuli begun before the women shot near her feet.
"Step back, news said the schnee heiress was kidnapped guess you four are the culprits"she stated whistling before the haze around her eye disappeared.
A girl stepped forward who seemed to be in mid twenties with blonde hair and bright green eyes. She wore a dark green long sleeve v neck with a pair of brown pants. But she wore brown hunting jacket single breasted vest fit. Along with some shoulder pads on both arms. Their was also armor on her biceps with pouch on her thighs. She had a lance on her back colored golden with the initial M.B on it.
"Mai take that girl from the faunus and help carrie her"the bat faunus ordered as the girl known as mai stepped forward. But weiss stopped her getting in her way.
"Look miss get ouf of the way were here to help"mai said
"Why should we trust you your all probably bandits"weiss replied as the so called bandits surrounding them laughed at that. The bat faunus did too as lazuli looked at one bandit shoulder pauldron. It bore the brnawhen tribe symbol as she went wide eyed.
So he was leading them in the right direction"your the branwhen tribe…guess you weren't lying"lazuli said the last part to herself.
Though eria just panted rapidly as she groaned in her sleep. Her bandgaed was smeared in crimson red as she looked even noitced this worried as eh kept pacing.
"Oh no…no ughhh going to kill us if he lost both his other daughter"weiss stated catching the bat faunus attention
"Crap feathers make a call because i rather not tell her sister she died because of my shit plioting"falk added to the women confusion even more.
Immediately the women waved her hands in the air as two of them walked forward grabbing falk stretcher. While some other pulled lazuli back placing her in some makeshift cuffs. While mai and another pulled eria off adam back. Then four of them surrounded him as they restrianed him. The bat faunus whisted as they began to make their way to their camp.
Meanwhile in the woods far away was the lancer knight stumbling through the woods grumbling to herself. She was enraged right now that they took her pet away from her. The women raised that little lancer into the mighty queen it became today.
"Those miserable vermin! They took my pet i'm going to hunt them down and ring their neck!"she shouted in rage flapping her wings but they were wet as she dripped in water.
She scoffed"dammit…i need to find them for revenge. Then continue my search for the spring maiden for my queen. I–"she begun before clutching her head in pain screaming into the sky.
"Arghh shut up…shut up you dam…parasite!"the lancer knight cried as she leaned against a nearby tree sniffling to herself hugging herself with her one arm. She looked at her stinger arm in fear and disgusted as tear slide from her mask.
"Why….just let me go…i don't want to do this anymore…please"she begged sobbing a little as she could hear a voice in the back of her head.
"Quiet meatsack, if you keep resiting control i'll have my queen punish you"a sickly but women voice rung in her head.
She clutched her head banging the back of it in the tree she leaned against. Leafs fell down as she did it a few times but a metal bang could be heard.
"Shut up…shut up! I'm not letting…you…hurt…my….family…you…"she begun before the chimera grimm took back control.
Then she stood up scoffing"maybe i will which might teach you a lesson my host"she sickly said as she continued her search for those vermin from the cargo ship.
About a ten minute walk as the branwhen tribe escorted the group toward somehwere. Though they mainly surrounded adam and lazuli it seems. They had their weapons as the tribemember stared at adam mainly. Meanwhile weiss wasn't sure what was going on because the bat faunus kept looking at eria who was still unconscious.
"Hey kid you worried about your friend?"a tribemeber asked as weiss nodded
"Don't be, we'll be at camp soon to treat her and your kidnapper. Though you two will be heading to mistral when we go to drop you off"the bat faunus said
"Uhh news flash lady we didn't exactly kidnap her, her mom hired us"lazuli corrected to the tribemmebers confusion why her mother would hire her.
The girl known as mai scoffed"oh bull crap we overheard on a radio broadcast that the schnee heiress was kidnapped and her mother assulted"she stated but they knew it was a lie.
"Yeah guess the rumor have also been true about this one."a male tribemember added gesturing his weapon to adam to their confusion.
"What that rumor he left the fang? That bullshit for all we know hes probably trying to meet up with his buddies in the white fang"falk stated firmly as he crossed his arms with pride.
Adam scoffed muttering"i rather not return to a cause that has cause so much inncoent bloodshed. Along with a bastard who put a kill order out on those who leaves"he muttered but the faunus of the group heard it but continued walking.
It was five minutes later as they arrived to a large wooden entrance with tall spikes surrounding the encampment. Around the camp their were some people wearing the same clothes the bat faunus and mai girl wore. There were also many tents that hosued the tribe with a ten off to the side.
However in front of them stood a very large tent that towered over them that had wooden steps and a deck along with torchs on the side which lead to a small opening in the tent as the bat faunus went inside.
They released lazuli from her restraints while they sat falk down. Along with mai setting eria down as a man rushed over it seems.
"What happened dear?"he asked as the women seemed to be his wife.
"Eh concussion from the looks of it…where are the kids?"mai asked
The man in question was close to her age and had a athletic build to him it seems. But he wore a pair of grey jeans with some pads on the knees and a medium blue t-shirt underneath a long hunter jacket colored charcoal black. His eyes were dark grey as his hair was jet black cut short.
"Oh their in the nusery right now, they'll be fine. Though…it seems we found the schnee heiress good job"he complimented as he began checking over eria who groaned a little as her eyes slowly stirred awake.
"No problem charlie wasn't much pretty easy plus we capture tarrus. That two issues in remannt solved"mai replied
"Uhh i could have handle you guys if we didn't crash and i fractured my leg!"falk shouted in annoyance
Weis though looked around the camp confused because she didn't see any sign of ruby and yang uncle qrow. But soon enought the bat faunus came back out of the tent. Followed by two more people one a women in a grimm mask the other a man.
The man in question was very tall and seemed to be forty years old. His skin was tan and he had dark brown hair top knot styles, along with green eyes. But what stood out was how muscular the man was along with him missing his right arm. Their was also a jackal tail for a trait making him a faunus.
His attire consited of open furt jakcet colored tan without the sleeves. The shoulder had uras skulls on each side as armor or trohpies it seems. He wore a grey t-shrit on uneanth it with an accosutic guitar on it. Along with that he wore a pair of purple jeans with a pair of black combat boots. He wears armored guanlents on his wrist with purple splatterned pattern on it. But tied around his missing arm was a light blue colored piece of fabirc.
The masked women looked at the group"so verona it seems you found some criminals along with the schnee heirness"the women stated as the bat faunus known as verona nodded
"Yes dear, though what did you mean by someone i knew was here?"the jackal faunus ask the women who was apparently his wife.
"Drav apperenlty these kidnappers also took someone your related too"verona stated as weiss, falk and lazuli were very confused right now. Because for one eria wasn't a faunus, along with her family not being faunus except for one whos suppose to be dead.
"Wait uh you don't look related to princess ice queen old..arghh"lazuli begun before a tribemember pushed her down as falk clenched her fist.
"Hey buddy try that again or i'll persoanlly shove my broken foot up your ass"falk threatened not even caring he was hurt.
The masked women looked toward him then the injured girl being tended to by charile. Along with glancing at weiss with surrpsie it seems as she walked over. Weiss sheepishly slinked down as she didn't have her weapon.
"Umm are you uh yang xiao long mom?"weiss nervously asked as the women stopped in her tracks. As they stood in silence she chuckled a little as she removed the mask to reveal her face to be raven xiaolong mother of yang and aunt of ruby.
"I am…my daughter told me alot about you. Though it seems your lucky we saved you from your kidnappers. Alright place them in the hol–"raven begun before weiss stopped her.
"They didn't kidnap me, i wanted to get away from my abusive father!"weiss shouted annoyed because they kept calling her actually saviors kidnappers. Everyone in the camp just looked at each other conufsed by this declaration. They began to murmur as raven looked at the young heir. She was shaking with rage right now along with a small tear welling up.
Then she nodded to her tribe member to untie lazuli and help her up. They did as the theif dusted herself off.
"Ughh thanks i rather not play it rough…though nice going ice queen. You gave away our ruse. "Lazui stated annoyed
"Hmph if your not being kidnapped we need proof. But dravan do you know her?"raven replied gesturing to eria on the ground.
But the jackal faunus known as dravan walked forward standing over her. While he did eria slowly stirred awake groaning. Right now her head felt like someone hit her with a large mallet several times. It was pounding right now and she just wanted it to stop. Though as she opened her eye fluttering them for a second she went wide eyed.
Because in front of her was someone she thought was dead since her father told her. Standing above her with a look of shock right now was her uncle dravan. She couldn't even hold a sob back as she choke on one. Charlie noticed this looking up at the man.
"Hmm maybe her head wound causing her immense pain. We'll need to have her rest somewhere since the medical tent might be full"charile stated
Though weiss looked at the jackal faunus closer as she quickly composed herself. She feels like she seen him somewhere before. Then as she studied his face it her like a train.
"Wait…you wouldn't happen to be her…"weiss started as eria finally spoke.
"U-u-uncle dravan?"eria asked softly with tear streaming down her cheek with a look of shock and saddness. The jackal faunus was surrpsied to see her here as he kenlt down to her. He just gently layed ontop of her embracing her.
"Oh what are you doing here my snowy niece"the man stated to the confusion of falk and lazuli. But weiss was just shocked because the twins said their uncle was dead for sure. Along with their father and mother confirming it.
"Uhh wait their related to a faunus?"falk questioned scratching his head as adam stood their feeling left out. But didn't interrupted because it seemed it was a familaiy reunion.
"If i recall they are…but uh he's dead i heard. Aperently from the blonde sister of hers she said uncle dravan died protecting her or whatever"lazuli said as dravan went wide eyed at that. He slowly removed himself from eria staring at her confused.
"My other niece is alive?"he asked to the others shock.
"Why would't rogue be alive how do you not know about that? Also um how are you alive?"weiss asked as their were many confusing questions right now. Though raven just stepped foward looking at eria who slowly passed out again.
"Take her to verona and dravan hut to rest. Take him to the meidcal tent to check his leg and see about patching it up. Then take tarrus to the hold"raven ordered as they did jsut that. Some took eria on a stretcher toward a medium size tent from the looks of it. While other took falk away to some medical tent from the look of it. Then other took adam toward a small cage like area throiwng him into it.
Then raven looked toward weiss and lazuli motioing for them to follow her inside the tent. The two did follow them inside while they were very conufsed about what they walked into. About a few minutes later the two were sat at a small table while mai placed some food infront of them.
"Thank you mai, now go have our warriors keep an eye on tarrus. "Raven ordered as mai nodded leaving.
"Please eat. I'm sure you two are very hungry"raven said slowly digging into her as weiss did with her. But lazuli was hesitant at first before hunger came over her as she dug into her food.
"So uh i have a question would you mind telling us what you meant by them not kidnapping you?"verona asked leaning against a table.
"Well you see uh willow her mother hired me to take her away from someone"lazuli answered
"Okay but that doens't explain what you meant by an absuive father? Did jacque…do something to you?"raven looked toward weiss who placed her utensil down. Then turned away wrapping her arms around herself.
"Umm..no..i simply misspoke outside is all. Their just taking me…to visit ruby and yang, i'm sure their at haven continuing their studies"weiss replied as raven shook her head at that statement.
She stood up walking over to the girl slowly sitting next to her placing an arm around her gently. Weiss was surrpsied by this because the women barly knew her and she doing this. Raven just rubbed her back for a bit as weiss slightly reacted to her tocuhing her.
"Don't touch my back!"weiss pushed her off as raven went back slightly. Verona didn't step in but just stood by incase her leader called for her.
Raven sighed with a somber look"so what my brother told me back at my husband house was true. That jacque been abusing his kids, should have known someone like him would do that"raven stated to weiss shock that her teammates uncle told his sister about this.
Weiss just immedialty just hung her head down not really wanting to talk it seems. Though lazuli just felt awkward right now clearing her throat.
"Okay look i'm sure were all very confused right now. Because for one i need still got a job to complete taking her to mistral to find her friends. And that hayley girls twin sister"lazuli said as verone raised an eyebrow at her.
"What happened to my husbands other niece? And shes actually alive?"verona questioned to the two shock that she just said husband. Also what do they mean by rogue not being alive. They do seem like the sort to live out in the woods for a while. But with a radio station they must get some source of contact.
"Wait…you don't know about rogue? I'm a little confused that she would be dead because last time i saw her was in argus before she ran away"weiss replied
"Hold on my niece ran away?"dravan said walking into the tent persuambly after placing eria in his tent it sems. He took a seat down at the table conufsed it seems. Though weiss was shocked to see a dead man sitting here still.
"Yeah she did apperently to go on some revenge quest or something. I don't know you gotta ask eria she porbably knows more"lazuli replied
"Hmm okay but depsite that what extaclty happened on our your way here. That one with the broken leg said you crashed."Raven asked as she kept a straight face the entire time.
"Oh well we were on our way through lake matsu. Then we intercepted a radio transmission from some mistral ships. We went over to see if we could help them"weiss replied
"That broadcast we picked up early, sounded pretty bad though were guessing no way made it out. "Verona replied as dravan sat their deep in thought it seems.
Lazuli shook her head"nope apperently skyguy dumb uncle or whatever made an emergency landing near some woods it seems. "She corrected
Raven cupped her chin closing her eyes"how far do you think it was from your crash site?"raven asked as she had verona bring a map out without even asking. She rolled it out as their were several places cirlced on it. Along with other certain spots mark with some saying watchtower one, two, three and four. They seemed spread out around the area it seems. Along with places that say danger, watch out for grimm.
Lazuli studied the map for a second trying to recall where it could be. But all she could rember they were near some floating island. She saw something labeeld like that with a few small drawing of flaoting island.
"I think about here…maybe we were near some floating island. Apperently a grimm knight attakced them…she may be in the area still"lazuli replied
"Dammit we aren't equiped to deal with them right now. Rae we should be on high alert, along with that send a scouting party out tomorrow to look for them"dravan stated as raven nodded at this.
"We will but besides that will you two be staying for the night. Because i'm sure you rather have a safe place to sleep than forgery out in the woods. "Raven asked the two offering them a place to stay.
"Umm well we don't exactly have anywhere to go…but yes "weiss replied as raven chuckled at that.
"Call me raven dear, and for where you'll be staying. Lazuli was it you can stay with mai and her family. While weiss you can stay with me for the night"Raven ordered it seems
"Why does the schnee girl gotta bunk with you?"lazuli questioned
"Yeah rae what you wanna hear more about your daughter or something?"verona knwoingly asked
The tribe leader smiled slightly"i do, but we don't have that much room right now. Most of the tent outside belong to tribe members i've sent out to guard the perimeter and scout the area out for any danger"raven replied
"But their also something else, i'm pretty sure my niece and daughter wouldn't be heading to haven. Last i recall yang wasn't very willing to head to haven last i recall speaking with her. "Raven started as she left her tent with lazuli and weiss following her alongside dravan and verona.
"Oh then this journey was for nothing then"weiss sadly said
"Actually no it wasn't if what qrow told raven is indeed true. And how you reacted inside it seems that faunus hating bastard jacque schnee does abuse his kid. What a shocker"verona sarcastically said the last part.
"But despite that my guess is those two are still in the patch from what i recall. Though we'll discuss this tommorrow. I'm sure you've had a long day you two need rest"raven stated as they agreed on that. Though as they were walking by weiss looked at falk who was layed on a makeshift hospital gurney it seems. The medical tent had some medicine it seems along with several different herbs, mixing bowls and medical equipment their.
"Ok doc tell me i'm i gonna lose my leg?"falk jokingly asked as charile was checking over his leg moving it slightly as falk winced in pain.
"Nope but we may need to remove you pants to see how bad that leg wound of yours is. After that if it is fracture it'll need to be in a cast for a couple days"chairle stated
Their group were passing by since raven was leadin glazuli to mai tent along with escorting dravan and verona to theirs. Weiss looked at falk worried because she hoped he would be okay.
"Whats the situation charlie?"verona asked as charlie and another member were in the process of removing falks pants. The makeshfit splint was off but the pilot felt mebrassed because he was wearing a pair of pink tighty whitties right now. He covered a speicifc area blushing slightly as weiss slightly turned away.
"Hmph other than this one being flustered it appears. His leg is fracture he'll need to keep his leg elevated along with placing it in a cast"charile replied as he presented falk leg. It was heavily swolen right now with purple bruising from the looks of it. It looked to be where his knee was on his right leg.
"Great though nice pair of undies sky guy"lazuli playfully teased as falk glared at her flipping her off.
"Oh screw you feather..ughh and uh…please forget about this weiss"falk begged as weiss blushed slightly.
"Uh i'll try…can we please go to bed now its getting late"weiss said gestuirng to the sky as it was starting to become an orange haze it seems. Along with the sun slowly setting in the disntances from the looks of it.
dravan smiled"agreed though uh what the hell happened to my snow dancer leg. Who took it?"dravan demanded to know it seems as the manw as surrpsied to see her without a leg and a prosehtetic one none the less.
The two looked away for a bit because they didn't wanna tell him. Their still in disbelief that he was the hayley sister uncle who was actually alive it seems. But weiss sighed heavily because he had the right to know. Along with her being repsoisble for it in a way.
"Umm well sir…a girl took it from her during the fall. I…i could have stop it but…i was just too–"weiss begun before a rolled up gauze was thrown at her. They looked to see falk who was probably in alot of pain. Because right now charlie and another tribemmeber where rubbing some paste it seems from some herbs to make a makeshift cast.
"What the heck was that for?"lazuli questioned
"To tell her to stop blaming herself, i mean come on . seriosuly i thought i told you at the zoo, it aint your fault eria lost her leg. Blame that creepy rosemary kuchisake chick or whatever her name is"falk said as raven raised an eyebrow at that name. Because she vidly recalls her being one of that witch servants last she heard.
"But…but…uh okay"weiss meekly said as they decided it was time to head to bed for the night.
They all split off into their own pairs, lazuli was being guided by verona to mai tent it seems. She was led inside and met by two small kids in the room. The first one looked to be a seven year old girl with tan skin and dirty blonde hair. Her eyes were light blueish grey along with her wearing a brown skirt with a light purple top. The second was a four year old boy with tan skin with bright yellow eyes with bright yellow hair. Along with wearing a pair of black shorts and a yellow t-shirt. Inside already was mai who was on a bed meant for two.
"Oh verona what brings you here?"mai aksed as she held the four year in her arms as he kept messing with his mother hair.
"Auntie bat ears"the little girl said hugging verona who chuckled.
"Hi iris, did you and your little brother behave yourselves with haru along with my little girl?"verona asked as the little girl as iris nodded
"Yeah but dan bit me"iris said pointing to her baby brother known as dan.
"No..i didn't"dan replied as he accidentally tug at his mother hair. Mai sighed as she removed him from her lap as iris glared at him.
"Shut up yes you did"iris said
"Did not"dan replied as the two kept bickering back and forth for a bit. Mai groaned rubbing her eyes at this annoyed it seems. Though lazuli just chuckled because it reminded her of when her and vance would always be getting into fights back then.
"Could you two stop fighting for once"mai asked separting her two kids as lazuli decided to help out. She walked over kneeling down to the two.
"Hey you two quit acting like little menaces. Just apolgize and make up then maybe that'll make your parents happy"she soflty demanded as the two stared at her then at each other. They both hugged each other apolgizeing as iris retreated to a small bed that might have been her bed. While dan just sat on the one in the tent.
Mai was impressed looking at her"okay guess i got a new nanny, those two never listen to me whent why fight"she asked as lazuli sighed
"Eh well i've done that before to my old man. Though me and brother aren't that close anymore. "She sadly said as mai looked down.
"Oh i'm sorry for your lose"she said as lazuli shook her head.
"My fish eating brother aint dead hes in vacou right now. Though uh i'll be staying with you ma'am"lazuli said as mai looked at verona who nodded. The women sighed before nodding as she qucikyl got a sleeping bag out preparing it for lazuli. The girl appreciated it as she decided to sleep in the clothes she had. The theif layed down and immediately passed out because she felt exhausted after the day she had.
But over where raven tent was the women was sitting on a bed right now. Along with with weiss who felt very awkward right now. Because she sleeping in the same room as her teammates mother. Raven had a spare bed in the room but it was off to the corner as she let her hair down for the night.
Though raven seemed to be calm right now just simple asking questions about her daughter and how she was back at beacon.
"So my daughter started a foodfight with the entire cafeterie?"raven asked as she wore some black sweatpants and a red t-shirt for bed. While weiss wore some blue silk pants pajams and a white t-shirt. It was all that was left from her clothes that survived from the crash.
"Yes, though i'm guessing you know what might have started it"weiss awkwardly asked
The branwhen tribe leader knew extactly what she meant her hair"was it one of the three rules, specifcially the one being her hair?"raven asked s weiss nodded yes to her.
"That was the one but um…look umm did qrow really tell you about my…scars?"weiss nerovusly asked as raven somberly nodded
"He did, while i visited tai at his house in the patch. After saving my brother and niece back in beacon tower. I stayed their for a bit until my daughter mnetioned something that seemed to tick her off. More importantly what a parent did to their child"raven stated
Weiss was surrpsied that yang would say that to her mother. But she guessed that she trusted the women since she was her daughter. She trusted her mother as well, but she hoped she along with her brothers are doing alright right now.
"Oh well…thats…um..okay..but i feel like i shouldnt trust her anymore now"weiss replied because she kinda regrets yang seeing her scar. If she'll just tell anyone about them it seems.
Raven sighed getting out of her bed then walked over sitting at the end of weiss placing a hand on her shoulder.
"I understand that hearing that today might have put a strain on you and my daughter relationship. But know this she only told me because she was worried about you. That if i ever ran into you, to make sure your father wasn't with you"raven knwoignyl said as weiss was surrpised by that.
"Why would i be with jacque that man is a monster"weiss replied sadly looking down at her bed sheets. Raven just sat their as the schnee girl had a look of sadness on her face. Before she knew it raven just pulled the girl into an embrace to weiss surprise. It felt nice beind held like this right now. Weiss just leaned into her softly letting a tear escape as they sat their for a bit.
"At least your away from the monster"raven said as they sat in the embrace for a bit before letting go as wiess sniffed nodding to her.
"Thank you"weiss thanked as raven nodded
"It was no problem, but tommorrow we'll discuss your groups current situation. Along with that getting a search party for that crash site. Get some sleep dear"raven said as she slipped back under her covers. Weiss agreed some sleep sounded nice right now. She layed her head down on the bed slowly closing her eyes. Hoping that tommorrow will bring something new.
But right now outside of the camp near a small set of bushes. A few other people in tribal gear from the looks of it were scouting out the camp it seems. One had some binnocualrs it seems as he had a scroll in hand.
"Hey boss it seems good old rae found herself an heirness what do you want us to do?"he spoke into his scroll as someone immedialty responded
"Keep an eye on her if she leaves the camp tommorrow. After that take her alive then we can make some lien"a female voice said on the other end
"Roger that boss over and out"he replied as he hung up on the scroll. Then him and those with him continued to watch the camp from a sitance. While in the woods the lancer knight kept struggling to fight against the parasite inside her. But right now the next morning will be very interesting to say the least.
This was an interesting chapter with the intorduction of several new faces. But it seems that eria uncle is actually alive after all this time! With raven also letting them stay in their camp viewing them as friends of her daughters. Mai, Verona, Charile, Dravan are my own creations. Thanks for reading!
