Last chapter we saw the formation of weiss and falk becoming Feiss. Along with that seeing the others are in the middle of being ambushed by belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. I own the OC's, AU. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 22 teal:confrontation
The group was in the middle of a standoff as they all took cover inside the ship. While they did the group looked over toward where the shots came from. Verona slowly looked around the treeline noiticng a few bushes moving around. But their were several bits of movement seen throughout the woods.
"Not good, don't know how many were dealing with. But it seems vernal might be here"verona stated readying her rifle.
"Seriously why the heck would she be here?"mai questioned as some of the other were confused by this.
"Don't know but we need to get these people to safety. Let deal with them quickly before grimm come"eria stated coldly but they nodded in agreement at that. Though soon enough two people stepped out from the forest along with about eight others.
The first was a young skinny man with long dirty blonde hair and gray eyes. He has stubbled around his mouth and is missing an upper left tooth. He wears a dark blue and gray jacket with tornsleeves over a long sleeves shrit. He also wears a bandana around hi neck and has a shoulder pad on his right shoulder. Finally he wears fingerless gloves and brown boots. He held a pistol in hand.
While the second being a women who appears to be twenty six year old with tan skin with short brown hair and icy blue eyes to match. She wears a light brown vest with dark pane panetls on the topc and a dark brown buckled strap on the back, over a torn white shirt that is partially unbutton to show some bits of clevage. Around her is a slightly worn choker collar.
She wears marron colored jean with the right side rolled up to her thigh revealing dark pink lining alongisde a brown belt with a pouch attacher to her right hip. She wears brown calf guards with having a garter styled strap that goes under her rolled up pant leg. She finally wears a pair of beige and dark brown laced up boots with folded over side showign over the white lining paired with maroon colored socks that partially cover her calf guards.
In her hands were a pair of crescent shaped blades, each with a ring shapred center. The large outer blades have hooked points that point back toward the grip. They have four smaller blades located in pair above and below the grip, which are wrapped in a red cloth and curved to form part of the middle ring. The larger outer blades seem capable to collapse toward the grip.
Atop the ring and below the upper blade are rectangular shaped gun barrels. Within the main ring is a smaller, thinner ring connected by a pin to the forward facing portion of the weapon acting as the trigger.
All the rest of them wore what the man wore.
Verona glared at the women"vernal you dam traditor! You got alot of nerve attacking us!"verona shouted as the women known as vernal smiled.
"Really? Because all i see are a bunch of coward protecting people who aren't strong enough to defend themselves"Vernal called back walking forward. But was met by a rifle shot whizzing past her head as she barly reacted.
Verona sniper rifle barrel smoked a little"step back now! We'll give you a chance to leave with your life!"verona offered as the man laughed at that.
"We aint doing that doll not when you got two girls worth alot of lien. That schnee girl and hayley girl"the man called out as eria went slightly wide eyed. They were after her and weiss, maybe here to ransom them off to their parents. Which for one of them wasn't good.
Immeidaly dravan went wide eyed in rage as he gripped his weapon tight. The jacakl faunus soon leaped from cover with a war cry. They all looked at him just rushing in without a plan as verona smacked her face.
"Oh my god you dumb idiot"verona stated as lazuli chuckled at that.
"He's just going in…oh seems that guy pissed him off"lazlui said
Mai scoffed"yeah good old shay …oh how i've wanted to crack his skull"mai said with venom in her tone.
"What the guy do something to you or something?"pyke questioned curiously as mai growled at that. She vividly recalled the man being an asshole and pervert in their camp at times.
"Oh nothing much…except for him peeping on the girls here and being rude as hell to my kids"mai said in anger as soon enough they all broke from cover to assist dravan. While the tribememebrs stayed to protect pyke and the crash site surviors.
With dravan he leaped toward a bandit who had a bat in hand. He swung at the jackal faunus doing nothing to him as he barly reacted. Dravan smiled as the bandit looked at him with fear. The jackal faunus then kicked him to the ground as he planted his boot on the man face.
A second bandit swung at the man but he blocked it with ease holding his axe. Then he pushed them back into another who leaped toward him. The bandit under dravan foot kept pounding on his boot to let go. But he wasn't as he then kicked his jaw as a loud crack could be heard.
Lazuli used her semblance speeding through the bandits as she fired a few crossbow bolts into them. A couple of them got hit as one got launched back. While the second removed the dart confused what she hit her with.
"What the hell is this a dart? Heh that stung brat..but"she yawned as a sense of sleep came over her.
"Man..i feel tired…i need..a.."before she finished she fell forward passing out.
Though with eria she used her semblance creating a small ice path as she skidded across the ice. As she did she clicked her heel together as the skates emerged from below them. She quickly skidded across ice holding her bat. A couple bandits fired at the girl but she was too quick for them.
While she slide around she got close one ducking underneath his sword to slice her head off. She quickly whacked him in the knees as he grunted in pain. Then she skidded to a stop as she rushed forward using her ice. As she got close to him she pulled her back back as she swung. The man looked up to see the bat going straight into his face. It launched him back into one dravan was dealing with sending them to the ground groaning.
Dravan looked at his niece smiling"brave ho dear that was an excellent hit"he complemented as eira smield slightly.
"Thank you uncle but focus"eria coldy said as he was focused but was having fun.
But with verona she was rushing toward vernal ready to strike the traditor down. While she did shay stepped forward aiming his pistol at her with a smirk.
"Hey look your that bitch who ruined me and boy fun last time"shay said but she glared at him.
"Oh shut up you sick bastard, though someone wants to say hi to you"verona said to shay with a cpnufsed look
Shay chuckled"and who would that be?"he asked but soon enough a lance was thrown into him. The man went flying into a tree with a thud as he gasped. He got pinned to the tree by a lance as he looked toward who threw it.
Mai glared at him as he noticed who was with them. He nervously laughed trying to pull hismelf free. While mai rushed toward the man getting ready to sock him across the face. After a bit she got close to him as she punched him square in the jaw.
Which result in one of his teeth coming lose as he spat it the ground. Shay rubbed his jaw as he glared at her.
"You bitch…my tooth..arghhh you still mad what i did to your kid?"he mockignly asked as mai glared at him. She removed her lance from the tree as she grabbed him by the shirt collar lifting him up.
"Oh i am you bastard! You shoved my little girl to the ground after you bastards left"mai said as she then threw him down a small hill as he tumbled.
With vernal and verona the two stared each other down with their respective weapons. Beofre anything verona was the first to attack by firign a few shots at her. But vernal was quick as she fired her guns at her while running to the side. Verona got hit a couple times but quickly followed her by firing a few pot shot at her.
One hit vernal in the leg as her aura took it, but after running she stop kicking up dust. Then came straight toward the women. She lunged toward her ready to pounce with her blades bringing them down on to slice her head off. But verona was quick as she changed her sniper as the stock collapsed into itself. Then the barrel and the rest of the weapon collapsed inward. Then in its place a kiliji sword with a dark blue blue and black handle with the fang hanging on the hitl.
The two blade clashed as they stared at each other, though all that walking and using her semblance made the bat faunus tired.
Vernal smiled at her"you know you should have taken the chance to join me. Why be loyal to someone who's weak"vernal asked
"Simply because i've been friends with that girl for a very long time."verona simply replied pushing her back.
As she did vernal slashed at her a few times dealing major blows to her aura. But vernal dodged another strike from verona as she kicked her in the back. Verona grunted as her aura slightly flicker as it was close to shattering.
"Oh what the matter already tired…maybe having that kid with that bastard made you weak"vernal taunted as verona eye widden in anger.
"You don't get to talk about my family like that"verona spat back as she got up quickly slashing at vernal. But she blocked her sword with ease as verona panted slightly.
Vernal smiled as she kickflipped verona back as verona landed on the ground hard. Then vernal fired a few shots into her causing her to be shot bakc slighlty. As she did her aura shattered in a white hue dispaitng.
Though close by eria watched this going wide eyed seeing her new aunt aura shatter. A small flash went off as she saw pyrrha in her place. Then it was tanner and then zane, vernal slwoly approached the bat faunus ready to finish her off.
Eria stood their with anger slwoly boiling as she saw someone else in vernal place. That being bonnie as she was ready to strike down the vision of pyrrha their. Then she snapped back to reality seeing her family member she never heard of standing their. Before she knew it something inside her was brewing. A cold storm it seems as she gritted her teeth rushing foward.
While she did dravan dealt with another bandit as they were slowly regrouping. Though with all the fighting right now. Soon enough a few grimm showed up to the party as some beowolf rushed toward him.
The jackal faunus smiled as he tossed his axe with ease killing one beowolf. But it left three more with an uras alongside it. The man then held out his left hand as a swirl of purple like energy swirled into his fist.
After a bit of time he soon produced a sphere like ball colored dark purple that seemed to be like a galaxy. Lazuli was close by as she dealt with one grimm quickly by stabbing it.
"What with the glowing ball?"lazuli asked gesturing to what was in dravan hand.
He smiled looking down at wisp on her wrist"you'll see though…that thing got any explosives?"he asked as she nodded. Then he smiled as he hucked the ball toward the grimm who roared at them. One beowolf lunged at them but to her surprise it was sucked back. Because the purple ball he threw denated creating what appeared to be a miniature black hole. It sucked in the grimm as they tried to escape its clutches.
Mai was close by as she threw shay into some bandits who were slowly regrouping.
"Hey hurry up and kill those things"she ordered as lazuli nodded quickly. Then she aimed her wrist mounted crossbow firing several bolts into the beast. After a few seconds they started to beep for a bit until finally they denaoted in an explosive finish.
Dravan fist pumped the air"ah ha! That was impressive did you see that…dear"dravan said as he looked at his wife on the ground with vernal over her. Along with his niece running in to help her.
The other two noticed as they decided to rush over to help them. But while they did eria glared at vernal with anger in her eyes. She needs to get their in time, she just needs to use her semblance. The snow dancer couldn't stand losing anyone or anything else because she wasn't fast enough. She lost her leader, her sister figure and now her own sister. She just wanted to keep them out of the way for safety.
She activated her semblance as she got close to the two. But it wasn't her ice it seems, instead a small blizzard like storm whirled to life that was about maybe twenty meters. A cold chill ran through the blizzard as some of them were surprised by this.
"What the…uh could she do that?"mai questioned
"Yeah i only recall my snowny niece making ice sculptures and freezing her hands"dravan added but was impressed
Lazuli chuckled"guess she picked up a cold new trick"lazuli joked as with vernal she stood their confused as a chill ran through her spine.
"What the hell…is this your doing?"she questioned verona who was shokced. But before they could answer soon enough eria emerged right next to vernal. To her shock she tired to swing at her but eria swung hard into her side launching her form the blizzard. The women went flying into a tree hard as she fell to the ground. She slwoly picked herself up glaring at the girl who gave an icy stare back.
"You little bastard! I'm going to skin you alive for protecting that traditor!"vernal shotued but shay called out to her.
"Vern lets go our guys taken too many hits. Gotta regroup"shay stated as vernal noticed her men in rough shape. She growled in frustration at this nodding to him. Then she reached into her back pocket as she pulled a ball like device. Eria noticed this narrowing her gaze.
"Oh no you don–"she begun but not before vernal tossed it to the ground as it illuminated the area around them blinding them. They all stood their for a bit before opening their eyes to see her gone.
"Serisouly flashbangs? They turned tail and ran using fancy light shows"dravan said annoyed
"Yeah well at least their gone though uh…you good princess ice queen?"lazuli asked to eria who eeys twitched slightly. It happened again just like at the sawmill and in argus.
She screamed annoyed"ahhh it happened again! Why do they always do that when the relize their losing!?"she questioned annoyed that it happened for the third time. They all stood their laughing for a bit at her plee.
"Relax kiddio you did some good today…though thanks for saving me back their"verona thanked her niece who looked at her for a bit before embracing her. It surprised them a bit but verona hesiantly returned it.
"Its fine…i'm just happy i was fast enough to save someone"eria replied softly as her uncle walked over rubbing her head.
"You did kiddio…though when did you pick up that trick?"Dravan asked as eria undid her embrace. She didn't really know what he meant by that, but all of sudden when she activated her semblance a sense of cold came over her. When she saw her aunt about to be slaughter something inside her snapped. That she just wanted to get their on time and for her to be somewhere safe.
"I..i don't know…but…that made me tired"eria replied as she felt exhausted right now.
"Well we earned a good break, hey lets grab the survivors and head back to camp"mai replied as the group agreed on that. They soon rounded up pyke and the crash ship surviors. Along with the dead tribemember for a proepr burial. Though while they walked back someone close by was stumbling around holding her head.
The lancer knight looked from a small spot holding her head in pain. Though she more importantly looked at mai who held her lance high. The lancer knight fell to her knees sobbing queitly to herself.
"My..my little girl….how've you grown"the lancer knight said to herself. But soon a sense of pain came from her head as she queitly cired as soon enough. The chimera parasite soon took back over, and she relaxed her posture.
She began laughing"oh so thats your spawn…good maybe i could kill her to teach you a lesson. Along with all the other in their camp"the lancer knight said now known as melissa bines.
The walk to the camp took a while because once they got back. It was slowly becoming night time right now. It took them a good few hours to get back but they were welcomed with open arms. Raven stood their along with charlie and weiss waiting for their arrival.
Charlie noticed his wife smiling as she rushed over embracing the man.
"Oh their you are dear i thought for sure you were gone"chairle said giving her a small kiss on the cheek.
"Hey it'll take alot more to kill me, though where are our.."she begun before someone embraced the women leg tight. She looked down to see iris their hugging her mother smiling.
"Mommies back"she declared as mai smiled picking her up hugging her.
"I am though good news rae, we found some of the crash site surviros"mai said to raven as pyke and the other soon stepped into the camp. The branwhen leader smiled at this though pyke tapped his chin trying to place her face.
"That good news, its a pleasure to see your all okay. My name raven xiaolong leader alongside my brother qrow. Your welcome to stay the night until we send you off tomorrow"raven offered as some of the civlains walked inside. While pyke went slack jaw at that name, though close by was his nephew in a makeshift wheelchair with his leg propped up.
"Wait you wouldn't happen to be from team STRQ would you!?"pyke asked excited as some of them stared at him conufsed. While raven was slightly surrpsied by this but smiled slightly at it. Though falk and lazuli both eyed each other because they knew about that team. More like the four members of said team.
Raven stepped forward nodding"i am, one of the remaining three members"raven replied but seemed sadden by that.
"Oh man i can't believe i'm meeting two living legends today"pyke said excited looking at dravan then raven. The two were surprised by the man ethunaism on meeting them it seems. Though weiss looked at falk who was laughing at this.
"Whats so funny skyguy?"weiss playfully asked as lazuli noticed how she playfully teased him.
Falk snickered a little"nothing, uncle will always wanna impress any grizzled huntsman or huntresses at times. Especially her i'm guessing since she was on team STRQ"he replied as weiss relized something. It slipped her mind but she recalled how the women was on a team with qrow, tai and summer all of which being related to her two teammates.
"Yeah well he should because i got many tales to tell him. Though you doing alright raven?"dravan asked the women who looked down keeping her composer.
She put a hand up"i am just…remebering the good times me and my team had back in the day. Before my niece lost her mother…back in atlas. "raven replied sadly
"Oh i heard about that, also heard you and your brother have been looking for her"pyke replied as verona nodded at that.
"Yep good old rae and bird brain believe she still out their kicking. She could be but…"verona begun looking away from raven who closed her eyes.
"I'm sure she still out their somewhere but for now why don't you all rest up. We'll celebrate a small feast soon since everyone ws making one already"raven said as they looked seeing the brnwhen tribe preparing some food for a small feast. They didn't argue as they allahabad ecided to relax.
About an hour later it was still daylight out as everyone was already eating their fill fo food after today. They all were celebrating it seems after another succesful mission. Everyone was enjoying themselves it seems as their was stew, some meat that was hunted in the area. Along with some supplies they have from their visit into nearby general stores or passing merchants
At the head of one table was raven with most of the group by her side. They were all just talking about some of the things they've done in their lives. For raven and dravan pyke just kpet trying to impresses them with some of his feats. How he went one on one with that lancer kngiht in the skies and made a safe crash landing.
"You see in the air i thought we were goners at first. But fate told me otherwise that if i gave trying to land the ship a chance. I'd ive along with some of our passengers. Which we did"pyke said casually eating his stew.
"Impressive though it doens't compare to the time me and my brother slaughter a hoard of deathstalker with ease. They were nothing but small frys as we mowed through them"Dravan stated as pyke intnetivly listen while verona and eria looked annoyed. Luna was eating some food as it got on her face. And verona was trying to wipe it off.
"Quit moving around you…your all messy"Verona stated as eria held her baby cousin in place
Luna tried bitting her mother but she narrowed her gaze"do that again young lady and you don't get any desert"verona warned as luna immedialty stopp staring at her queitly.
Then she looked at eria who was emotionless like usually then looked at her daughter pieicng something together.
"Is this a trait in your family or something?"verona asked eria who shook her head.
"No its not, along with that my uncle and father are adopted brother remember"eria reminded
"I know…just a little surprise my daughter so quiet at times"Verona replied
"Yeah well heres a question what happened out their pricness ice queen with your semblance"lazuli asked as she was finishing up her meal. But had a small plate of food on the side it seems.
"What are you talking about did something happen?"weiss asked as she was sitting awefully close to falk. The pilot noticed this but kept a straight face while he ate. Though lazuli figured out quickly that maybe those two talked about their feelings.
"Oh well my semblance acted different it seems"eria replied
"Diffrent? Like how different?"weiss asked
"Well i usually can summon small ice sculptures or freese the ground or my body around me. I can sort of make the water in the air freeze instantly but this time…a small blizzard formed"eria added which puzzled her.
"Your semblance must have evolved in some way"raven spoke as they all looked toward the women.
"What are you talking about? Wait semblance can evolve that cool"falk stated with intrigue.
"Heh all you ight get flyboy is enhance sight or whatever"lazuli teased as he rolled his eyes.
Raven dipped her ehad a moment as to think before coming toa conclusion.
"How did you first obtain your semblance eria? What was your desire"raven questioned
"Well…i wanted to be quick enough to help my sister back then. When i saw her get in trouble one time..i wanted to get to her quickly and stop them from hurting her"eria replied recalling the day some bullies were picking on them for being related to a faunus. She rushed at those bullies with anger as insitcvly she froze one to a pole. That day her semblance awaken and so did her sisters soon after.
"Intersitng. Now when you saw verona in trouble what was your desire?"raven asked again
"What do you mean by her desire?"weiss questioned trying to understand what she meant.
"Yeah what does that have to do with anything?"lazuli asked
"Our semblance reflect not only who we are but they reflect our desires as well. As you said before you desired to save those who harmed your sister and get their in time to save them and stop them. What did you feel when you went to verona"raven added
Eria thought a moment before recalling what she did"i…i wanted to get to her on time..no i wanted her out of the way hidden before vernal killed her. I needed something to hide me while i dealt with her"eria said
Verona chuckled figruing it it"you desired to save someone you cared about, helping someone in danger regrdless of who was in front of you. That how your semblance evolved it was because of what you desired from your heart. Like our aura reflect our souls, our semblance reflect our hearts or your ict heart in this case"verona said wisly
Eria placed a hand on her heat thinking about what she said letting that sink in smiling.
"Yes it is thank you…auntie"eria said as verona smiled.
"Aww well isn't that cute you two already became friends"dravan cooed as verona pinched his tail as he slgihtyl yelped.
"You ruined the moment you oof. Though lets continue enjoying ourselves tonight"verona said though lazuli sat their for a bit before getting up. She walked away with the plate in hand making sure they ddin't see her. On the plate was three fat juciy ribs with some bread. She immedialty walked over to the holding cell.
Then she looked at someone mediating still which was adam tarrus. Adam didn't even move as he glanced at her standign behind him. Then he didn't even turn as he spoke.
"What do you need?"he asked as she walked over setting the plate down infront of him.
"Nothing much thought the terrosit might have been hunger."she simply replied as adam looked at the food then at her.
"Did you posion it to get back at me?"he asked bluntly as he didn't have his mask on again. She looked at his scar thiking that could have been her brother.
"Nah guess you were hunger…rather not let my prisoner go hunger"she replied as he hesitantly took it. He bit into the rib in a small bit of delight as she noticed this.
"Oh so you were hunger bullboy"lazuli teased as he didn't react instead as he continued to eat his meal. After a few minutes he soon finished seeming satisfied as he slightly bowed his head.
"Thank you…though your here for another question i'm guessing or asking about me. Why?"adam qeustioned as lazuli looked away.
She didn't know why she even came to give him the food. After hearing him say he had doubt last night about the fang and regretted what he did. Along with being betrayed by his long time friend…she kinda could relate to him.
"Nothing much but how'd you get the scar?"lazuli qeustioned
It made adam stop at first before he refocused staring at the ground.
"It was when i was ten. Me and parents were living on a farm minding our own business. We were preparing for witner season as my fatehr was cutting wood and mother was gathering suppiels while i helped with what i could."adam started
"But before winter came some strang emn came by the farms saying that we longer have to worry the farm. Said that someone boguht the property"he added
"Let me guess. Your farm was already owned by your parents"lazuli as he nodded looking at her as their eyes met as they didn't have any emotion.
"Yes. my parents owned the farm so it didn't make sense that someoen bought it. Father was able to drive them off and told them to never come back then we continued to prepare for the witner. Though we didn't see the last of them"he says tensing up.
"They came with atlas soldier..they forced us out of our homes and we were taken to atlas to work as slaves in their mines. At one point my parents had enough of they way they were being treated aos they tried to rebel but.."he paused at the last statement.
"They were killed wren't they?"lazuli said havign a feeling what happened.
"Yeah..since i was apart of it i though i'd be dead alongside them but as you can tell.."Adam said gesturing to his brand mark on his eye.
"I got something much worse. I was branded and lost my sight in this eye"adam added
"Must have been alot for a twelve year old. But i got you beat"lazuli replied as he was caught off guard by that.
"What are you implying?"adam questioned as she looked down.
Then she clapsed her hands together"try getting abandoned at the age of five by your parents because they didn't want you around anymore"lazuli saldy said as adam was caught off guard by that.
"Let me guess you were homeless until roman found you?"adam asked as she nodded
"I was with my parents on a shopping trip in town for soemthing. But next thing i know they start walking away from me. I caught up to them trying to get their attention. They just looked disgusted at me saying that i wasn't their daughter. I was confused by this trying to follow them but they…they just pushed me to the ground"lazuli sadly begun looking at the ground deciding to swap her tale since he did his.
"After that for three months i was on my own trying to stay alive. I could barely find anything to eat on some days. Usually dug around in dumpsters behind restaurants to find something to eat. Though one day i was walking close to a park with a swan statue. It was raining that day and i probably caught a cold that day. Layed down on a bench then.."lazuli begun as adam fisniehd
"That roman found you taking you someplace safe and giving you a warm meal"adam added as she nodded
Lazuli leaned back a little"then after that the guy offered me something i couldn't refuse….family. It wasn't long after i was introduced to my aunt. I recall going to her gym back then and meeting a lynx kid. Dad told me to go play with him i did, we played tag for a bit. Until i shoved him a little too hard then we began to scrap"lazuli continued smiling.
"Me and that fish eating brother of mine would fight over so many stupid things. Who got to watch tv, who got to beat the last thug, where to eat you name it. Then soon after he adopted my little sister neo. Along with my cousins and aunt…we were like one big happy family despite not being blood related"lazuli added as a small tear escaped
"But now i lost two family members…one of them already and now my dad. Siblings are probably with auntie…helping her over her grief again. "Lazuli added as she pulled something out her pouch looking at the syringe in hand to adam confusion.
"What is that? You resorting to taking drugs to coop with your grief?"adam asked as she shook her head.
"Nope something Z took to control that grimm inside him…all those knights got grimm parasite inside them. Puppeteering them without being able to control themselves"she answered which shocked adam.
"So..you have a way to deal with the remaining twelve knights of grimm"adam spoke as she was surprised he said that.
"I do…but how'd you escape atlas?"lazuli asked as adam was about to speak but soon enough a loud roar could be heard. The two shot up looking at each other as lazuli rushed forward to deal with it. But looked in the distance seeing the lancer knight standing in the middle of the camp stabbing a branwhen tribe member to death.
The theif was about to rush over to help but looked at adam still locked up. Then at his weapon close by as they might need that semblance of his.
Though about ten minutes early where eria was she was with her uncle talking about something with him. That being her teammates along with her aunt. They asked her about them and she hestated to talk about but wanted to let him hear about her team. Raven was their talking with weiss about hers as well. She knew about her nieces but was surrpsied by one of them including dravan.
"So yang partner was a cat faunus by the name of blake belladonna"weiss said as dravan smiled.
"My old partner daughter oh kali must be happy she becoming a huntresses just like her"dravan replied as the two ice queen looked at each other.
"Actually she became a huntresses to get away from the white fang. She left a while ago to get away from all the bloodshed..along with uh dating tarrus"weiss corrected as the adult looked at her while falk was surrised by that.
"Whoa cat ear dated that guy…ughh must have been a nightmare"falk added
"Yeah must be pretty mad at him for taking her arm"mai asked as weiss shook her head to their surprise.
"Actually i don't blame him for what happened. I'm pretty sure blake does too…he seemed to regret what he did to her"weiss replied as raven nodded in agreement.
"Seems so, when my daughter told me how her girlfriend lost her arm. She was worried she was dead, but with what you told me that she alive. I'm happy that i can meet her…though i'm going to teach that boy a lesson before we ship him off to mistral"ravan said with venom gesturing to omen in her sheathe.
"Oh i know you will rae you never shut up about her. How i miss my daughter, my daughter did this…we get it"verona said receiving a small smile from raven.
"What wrong with dotting on your kid…isn't that right little luna"dravan cooed as luna then bit his hand as he barly reacted jut smiling.
"Beside that what about you dear? You already told me about your sister how she was the type to rush into things"verona asked as eria simply nodded
"Rogue was type to run into thing her and our leader fitted each other persoanlity perfectly. "Eria replied
"That both of them act like idiot but were actually pretty smart at times?"weiss asked as eria simply nodded
"Yes, though i really hated him at first when we became a team honestly. First thing i wanted to do was make some dumb rule where he had to stay in the hallway while we changed. He didn't even argue with it, he said if it makes me happy he'll do it"eria begun coldly explaing her leader and partner
"Sometimes I thought he was just some idiot that didn't care about anything. But behind all that goofy nature was someone that cared about his teammates. I actually miss his stupid jokes sometimes…i wish he didn't have to kill himself looking for me. Though in result he helped…save a few of our friends. But…i don't even know if i can be a leader for our team"eria added about to continue but raven spoke.
"Most huntsman and huntresses team are like that, they view each other more than comrades. Each team leader strive to protect their teammates no matter the cost. I argued with mine from time to time…but we came to an understanding"Raven explained.
"That kinda remind me and ruby at first….i was such a brat"weiss added smiling
"Though a leader will always try their best to protect those they've been tasked to lead. Even it cost them their own life. I'm sure he choose you for a good reason."raven said as eria nodded in agreement.
"He did…if it was rogue she probably burn half of remnant down in…a week"eria coldly said as dravan snickered at that because she would.
"What about your partner dear?"dravan asked as his niece looked down.
"Oh she was a wolf faunus with dual traits, she was surprised at first i didn't mind her traits. She seemed rather quiet at times along with being very compasssioante. Their was also how nervous she got and was quick to blame herself. But she was also apart of the fang…but left as well. Though i just hope she dealing with the giref better than rogue"eria added
"I'm sure she is though what now?"weiss asked because what they planned to do now.
"Hmm what are you talking about?"falk replied not really understanding.
"I think she's referring to what our next step is. we saved the crash site surviors, but we were orgianlly on our way to haven"eria reminded as raven nodded
"If you'd like i can send you with a small group of warriors to the city. Their you can look for your sister along with taking tarrus in custody. Along with bringing the civlians and to the city "raven suggested
"That does seem pretty good though why don't we discuss this with feat–"falk begun but was stopped as a loud crashing and roaring sound could be heard. They all looked over toward where the sound came from. They all went wide eyed to see the main gate destroyed with someone standing their.
The lancer knight as her wings buzzed around as she cocked her head glaring at weiss and eria.
"You two! Your the vermin who took my little queenie!"the lance knight pointed her lancer stinger at the two heiress. They nervosuly gulped because they did kill the bug.
Raven narrowed her gaze as they had the manpower to deal with the knight. But she ddin't want to lose anymore good people today. Though a few of her warriros were at the ready to deal with the knight. One of them lunge toward her as they smacked her in the side as she grunted.
The warrior smiled but the lancer knight just eerily giglged, before they knew it she stabbed him in the chest with her stinger. He spat up blood from his mouth before she removed it. Another warrior came at her with a bolt action rifle in hand. She shot at the women for a bit before she took their shot like nothing.
The lancer knight grabbed her by the throat as she squeezed"oh poor little prey that won't work"she stated before impaling her quickly then dropped her as she started to slowly die. Immedialty all the remaining tribe members began to form a defensive perimeter aorund ehr. While some decided to move the injured, eldery and kids away.
"Dammit alright dravan you and haru take out injured somehwere safe"raven ordered as he nodded. Then he rushed away with luna in his arms. While charile took falk wheeling him away from the chaos.
Haru was close by as she looked at the lancer knight, she seemed to consider something looking at raven who noitced this.
"Raven…should…should i do it?"haru qeustioned to their confusion what the caretaker was implying.
"What are you talking about haru?"weiss qeustioned
"Nothing you need to worry about, no keep it hidden. If she here then she might take you back to that dam witch"raven replied to the ice queens confusion.
"Okay…i'll make sure the kids get to safety"haru said rushing off to do just that. Verona readyed her rifle taking aim at the lancer knight ready to kill her at raven orders.
"What about us? What can we do to help?"weiss asled
"Stay down i'll handle this i rather not have more people die today"Raven replied but eria stopped her.
"Thats not gonna happen you need our help to deal with her"eria retorted to the two confusion.
"What are you talking about? That thing is a killer a monster with no emtion slaughtering anyone that stands in its master way"verona replied
"No she right…we…we have a way to stun the knights"weiss said to the two shock as the knight was slowly approaching them. She dragged her lancer across the ground glaring at the two heirness.
"How..how would you have something that–"mai begun with her lance at the ready before a banshee like cry could be heard. The lancer knight lunged toward the group but to their surprise she targeted mai. She was quick to dodge it as they were confused why they targeted her.
"Hmm seems the pest dodge it…no matter she'll hear your screams for disobeying my mistresses order"the lancer knight said
"What are you talking about?"mai questioned but the ice queens slowly pieced it togheter. But not beofre the knight lunged at them again. This time raven intercepted her slashing her back as the knight stumbled. Though she quickly recovered as she flapped her wings as they buzzed to life.
The grimm hybrid then dive bombed on the group as some of the tribemembers were at the ready to provdie support to their leader. While also evcatuing the others to safety from the mosnter. She dove at raven who quickly sheathed her blade a few times. Then she launched a ball of fire at her which put the knight to the ground.
As the knight dusted herself off verona fired off a few shots at her. But she lifted her stinger blocking her bullets as they bounced off it. The knight then lunged at the bat faunus but she quickly dodged her. Then she slashed at her wings taking one off.
The knight growled"you bitch! I'll ring your neck up then watch you slowly die"she growled
"Good luck with that"eria coldly said as she skated over toward the women. Then she swung hard into her back as a loud crack could be heard. The knight then gasped falling down slightly but smacked eria to the side. She went flying but quickly landed on the ground.
With weiss she summoned a few glyphs around the knight. Then from the glyphs several fireball and ice shards launched into her. The knight kept getting bombarded by the barrage of elements. But with a flap of her wings she took to the skies again but sag a little since she only had half a wing.
Next she dove toward weiss who fired a fireball at the grimm hybrid. It caused her to stop midair as she tried to shake it off.
"You little brat! That it i'll kill you then that bitch my host cares about"she delcared pointing her stinger toward mai who was surrpsied by this. Along with everyone saying host which confused them. Though raven slwoly pieced it together it seems.
"The hell does she mean by host?"pyke asked as he took cover with falk and dravan.
"I don't know but why does she want mai? I'm sure she doesn't know anyone that is a grimm hybrid"dravan knwoingly said
Though falk pieced it together that the knight may know the girl"wait maybe she could be related to her?"he suggested as close by charile dismissed it.
"Thats impossible her mom and dad are gone…thomas from lung cancer. Her mother died on a mission eight year ago"cahrile replied as he held iris and dan close.
"Uhh well i think that might be your mother in law man"falk said to chairle as they looked confused
"What are you blabbering about if they said she dead. And that thing isn't human"pyke retorted
Though dravan quickly got what he meant"kid you saying what happened to my niece leader might have happened to mai mother"he suggested as falk nodded.
"Yep though we need to find feather she had what can stun–"falk begun before a white blur came through the camp. They rushed toward the knight trying to stab it but she qucikly backhanded it away. Lazuli went into weiss as the two collided, but right behind her was adam tarrus with weapon in hand.
"Tarrus has escaped get e–"verona ordered but he ran past the group heading straight toward the knight.
The faunus riased wilt in hand as he slashed at her a few times. She took the hit but soon pushed back agaisnt him. Though he blocked it with his blade a few times as it glowed brightly for a second. Then he dodged rolled one of her attack as he slashed at her other wing. She cried in pain about to stab him but was met by ice shards being launched at her.
The snow dancer looked at tarrus nodding to him as he returned it. The two then began to attack the knight as eria launhed a thick mist of ice dust from her back at the grimm hybrid. It slightly froze her stinger arm as it hisssed with ice.
But she still swung it as adam blocked the strikes with his blade. While he did weiss and lazuli picked themselves up. Then weiss went wide eyed seeing tarrus out.
"Why is adam out of his cage?"weiss questioned
"Uh i let him out don't get mad saw that knight here. Thought his semblance would help us"lazuli replied as weiss immediately got what she meant.
"Your right if i recall from blake she said his semblance can absorb hits then deliver it back. He used his katana to do so just like yang. But…this better not cause anymore problem"weiss said worried as lazuli smiled.
"Don't worry lets stun her then we can integrate her"lazuli said presneitng the syringe as weiss nodded. Weiss then immediately used a black glyph above the lancer knight. But she was quick moving out of the way.
"Patheitc filth that won't work"she stated but then from the side something stabbed her remaining wing off.
She cried in pain and looked at mai glaring at the women"get the hell away from you…"mai begun but not beofre the grimm knight bashed her away. She landed hard as a bright green aura shattered. Charile went wide eyed seeing his wife on the ground.
"Mai!"he called out with worry as raven shared it. She readyed omen to strike the freak of nature down.
"Get away from her!"raven shouted lunging toward the knight who brought her stinger don on mai. They all looked in horror epectin gher to be its next victim. Mai shut her eye tight hoping it would be quick. But was instead met by nothing as she opened her eyes.
Her along with the other stared in shock right now as the knight was hesitating to stab her. The women hand shook along with the large stinger on her arm. Raven was surprsied by this along with some of the others.
Soon enough the knight buried the stinger the ground shaking"cut…cut it off…severe my…dam arm…rae"she called out to raven who stared at her with confusion.
"Did…did she just call you rae?"verona asked shocked as raven nodded
"She did…this doesn't make sense at all."raven stated but lazuli looked at adam who looked at her nodding. He gripped his katana tight as he used his semblance. Everything became black and red as he quickly sliced through the lancer arm. Then he quickly knelt as he sheathed his sword. Then the stinger fell to the ground as black blood spurted from the wound as the women cired.
"Arghhh…it hurts…it hurts"she cried softly falling back but lazuli quickly used her semblance rushing over. Then she looked at the syringe in hand as she took a deep breath.
"This will shut the dam bug up"lazuli stated as she injected the lancer knight. She stopped shaking for a moment as they all looked at the sight. Because right now someone from the past came to visit her family and old friends.
We saw that adam and lazuli talked about their own parents for a bit on their backstory. Along with eria semblnace evolving now along with the lancer knight attacking them. But this women might be an old friend of the tribe. Till next time!
