A month after the Burners had stopped Kane's last plan, the evil scientist was in his office.
"Curse those Burners, they've been a thorn in my side for too long," said Kane while looking at holographic photos of Mike, Chuck, Dutch, and Texas which filled the room.
"Especially you, Chilton," he said as he glared at Mike's picture.
"Hey dad," said Julie who knocked on the door.
"What is it, Julie?" asked Kane while making the pictures vanish and opening the door to talk with his daughter.
"I'm going out for a little bit," said Julie.
"Alright, just make sure you're safe, those Burners are still out there and I don't want you getting hurt because of them," said Kane.
"I will," said Julie. After his daughter had left, Kane went back to staring at pictures of the Burners.
"Now then, where were…?" asked Kane before suddenly staring at a single picture.
"Wait, who drives that car?" he asked while looking at Nine Lives.
"Get me all the images of that car, I want to know who the driver is right now!" he said to a robot.
"Right away, sir," said a robotic voice. Meanwhile, at Mutt Dogs down in Motorcity.
"I'm surprised that Kane has not tried anything in a while," said Mike to Jacob.
"Don't let your guard down," said Jacob.
"Kane can pull anything off when we least expect it so it's better to stay on your toes than to relax too much," he said.
"True," said Mike. Julie then walked in.
"Sorry I'm late, it took a while to get away," said Julie while taking a seat.
"It's alright, Dutch was just about to explain his new invention," said Mike while moving to join the others at a booth.
"Ahem, we both had a part in this," said Chuck.
"Right, but lets get to the part where you explain how it works," said Julie.
