I feel pretty good today, so I decided to re-upload this chapter. Not sure if I will continue or not..
We'll see.
Enjoy.
Sasuke was sick. Sick of the life he lived.
A dog, that was what he was. What he was seen as. Chained and leashed to Konoha, the people responsible for the downfall of his clan. He had no choice but to listen to them. Least he had all the villages out for his head again.
They were waiting for him to slip up. And when he did, they would kill him and take his eyes, passing it on from age to age as a treasured piece of power for them to utilize.
The male blew out some air from his nose.
It wasn't that he necessarily hated Konoha. Some part of him loved the village.
Well, some of the people in it.
Yet, he still held some resentment for them.
His brother suffered at their hands for years. His every intention being for the greater good of the village. But what was his thanks? Being labeled a traitor and mass murderer? Utter bullshit.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed, his lips twisting into a snarl. His bloodline limit, the Sharingan, activated unconsciously and glowed ominously with his rage.
What right did they have to treat him like that? For all that he did, he would never be appreciated, nor seen as the hero he is. Sasuke's one hand clenched into a fist, his nails biting into his palm drawing blood. His teeth clenched down hard in his mouth, he ignored the pain it brought.
More it grew. More it continued to. His rage. His hate.
So lost in his anger, the raven-haired male didn't pay attention to where he was going, only pausing when he bumped into something. Looking down his eyes found large hazel ones. A child, one with spikey chestnut-colored hair. He looked to be around five or so and he was looking up at him in fear. His eyes watered, small hiccups leaving his mouth before he shot up off the ground and ran like his life depended on it.
Sasuke blinked. Was there something on his face? Confused he turned to his right and Sasuke took in his appearance in the glass of a restaurant and grimaced at what he saw. He hadn't realized that he activated his Sharingan, and his face was twisted in anger.
Hung over his body, obscuring most of it was a tattered light brown poncho that ended at his knees. Under it, he wore a high-collared long-sleeved shirt with a flack jacket and tattered blue pants that were tearing at the ends. He also wore black shinobi sandals that were wrapped in brown bandages that ran up his legs and a blue sash on his head. He stood at 5'9.
Turning back around he noticed that he had suddenly become the center of attention. People were looking at him with looks of fear and apprehension. It was then that he noticed his chakra leaking out. Sighing, he willed it back into himself and continued his way down the street, ignoring them, even as they moved to the sides to let him pass.
He didn't realize how angry he had gotten. And he wouldn't let it happen again.
Sasuke gazed up at the clear blue sky, not a cloud in sight.
He just wanted to be free.
Unbeknownst to Sasuke, a purple figure watched him, chuckling all the while.
It was evening when Sasuke walked into a restaurant that had an inn built above it. Pushing the door opened the teen swept his eyes around the establishment. There were only a few people in here. A blonde-haired woman and her child sat in a window seat, A waitress moving from seat to seat and two men who sat in the back conversing, one bald with a large scar that ran from his above his right eyebrow, past the bridge of his nose to end at his lower left cheek. The other had shoulder-length red hair and a dopey-looking face.
The two turned to him as he stood in the doorway. Of course, he thought nothing of it and simply walked over to an empty seat behind the mother and son. He sat there for what seemed like an eternity to him before the waitress sauntered up to his seat.
She was young, likely in her teens. She had dark brown eyes with mocha-colored hair tied up into a ponytail. She was pretty, but not someone he was interested in.
As her eyes fell on him a blush formed on her face. He frowned.
Of course, that would happen. Seemed for his lack of interest in her, she had some in him.
"Uh.. ma-may I take your order?" Sasuke mentally sighed at this. How annoying. Schooling his features into one of indifference, Sasuke answered her.
He held up two fingers. "Two onigiris. Filled with tomato slices." Then he turned away from her to gaze out the window. When he didn't hear her move he turned back to look at her face, and much to his agitation the girl was lost in her thoughts, a dazed look in her eyes. Sasuke resisted the urge to slice her in two.
Couldn't his life just be normal? Did it always have to be this way? God Damn it.
With a clenched jaw, the raven hair man cleared his throat catching her attention. Her blush grew deeper before she bowed.
"S-sorry!" Then she was gone, practically running to the counter where a big muscled man stood. He had a brown beard that framed his face and a bald head. When the waitress made her way to him, she handed him his order before running into the back room. His eyes followed her before he whirled to face him, a glare set on his face. Sasuke scoffed at his attempt to intimidate him.
The girl was likely his daughter. So he of course went into protective dad mode. Stupid fool. He didn't want anything to do with that would-be fangirl.
Raising his hand up Sasuke let his chin rest on the back of his hand. His eyes slowly fell shut. While he waited, he didn't want to see that idiot glowering at him. So it was better to simply pretend that he was resting.
For ten minutes he sat there waiting and it was on the tenth minute that he felt someone slide up next to him. His eyes slid open and he came face to face with the bald scared man he saw at the door. Across from him sat his red-haired friend grinning from ear to ear. It was a grin that held bad intentions.
"Yo." Sasuke turned his eyes to the bald one, looking at him from the corner of his eyes. The man saluted at him "How are you doing little brother? Why don't you help out your big bro." Sasuke rose a brow
"And how would I do that?" The two friends snickered.
"By emptying your pockets." Of course. Of course, he'd run into thieves. Just his luck. A new fangirl and two idiots that were throwing their lives away.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly and that was all it took before the man next to him fell unconscious. His red-haired friend jumped up in shock.
"O-oi what's wrong?" He called. He reached over and shook his friend, trying to awaken him. When he didn't, he rounded on Sasuke. "You! You piece of shit! What did you do to-" And he too fell, slamming his head against the edge of the table before tumbling down to the ground.
Sasuke sat there silently, ignoring the two fools. It was seconds later when his food arrived. The girl looked down in shock at the two unconscious thieves before turning to him. He held his hand out, gesturing for her to hand him the plate. And she did. But this time when their eyes met, he saw fear. After the plate was in his hand, she skittered off to her father. Sasuke ignored her as he took a small bite of his onigiri.
He really hated this world.
The rest of the evening was quiet from thereon.
After finishing his meal, Sasuke had been asked to leave by the protective father. Said he was bad for business. He obliged, but not before stepping on the red-haired bandit on the floor. The sound of his nose crunching had filled the air and the father flinched at the noise. He couldn't help but take some satisfaction in his uncomfortable look afterward. It was there he left and now found himself on the outskirts of the village.
It was night and he had to find himself a place to sleep. And it sure as hell wasn't going to be in that village. A place filled with terrified civilians. The way they hushed when he walked by, parents pulling their children behind them, shivering all the while.
It annoyed him.
He hadn't even done anything to warrant their fear. He released a little bit of chakra, it was a little sinister. So what? Would they really let something like that shape their opinion of him? Useless fools.
So here he was, walking through a forest for a place to rest. As he walked he skipped over overgrown tree roots, cut down bushes that got in his way and dodged any branches that appeared in front of him. It was minutes later when he found, what he believed to be, a suitable place.
A large tree, one of the tallest in the forest. Its roots were growing out of the ground but there was a large space in between the roots where he could rest.
He sighed, making his way over to it. When he reached it, he turned around and rested his back against it, sliding down till his bottom hit the floor.
He was having a shitty day and he just wanted it to end. Maybe he'd return to Konoha? He didn't want to but he was sure Naruto, Kakashi, and Sakura would be overjoyed.
Honestly? He didn't really want to see them either. He felt like he didn't deserve their forgiveness after all he did. Things ranging from helping Akatsuki capture the eight tails, which he found out later wasn't true, so he didn't give much of a shit, to his attempts on Naruto's and others' lives.
He was just tired. Finding out the truth about his brother. His two clansmen attack on the world, taking Naruto's arm. It was all too much.
Sasuke shut his eyes and he leaned his head against the trunk of the tree.
He'd deal with it all later. He'd just rest now.
Surprisingly, sleep came easy to him that night. But what he didn't know was that this was a part of someone's plan. A figure, completely colored in purple chuckled. His featureless face watched the sleeping teen before his hand rose and he flicked in the direction of the Uchiha.
Suddenly a portal opened around the sleeping boy and slowly began to suck him in. The featureless creature laughed again.
"What an interesting piece. Your wish has been granted. Enjoy yourself."
Sasuke heard none of it as he was slowly pulled away from his world. When he had been completely engulfed, the portal closed behind him, leaving no traces of the one known as Uchiha Sasuke.
When he awoke, he awoke to temperatures well below -20°C.
And he was freezing his ass off.
"The hell?" The male pulled his poncho closer to himself. His eyes swept the land before him. A land filled to the brim in white.
Snow.
There was nothing around except for the tree behind him and the ice crystals that fell from the heavens.
Why had the weather suddenly changed? Why were there no trees? He had been sleeping in a forest. This made no damn sense. Where was he!?
His breath came out in quick white puffs as his mind raced.
Was this some sort of Genjutsu? It couldn't have been, his eyes made sure that something like that would be highly unlikely. So if that wasn't the case, what was happening right now?
Pushing himself onto his feet, Sasuke cursed as his feet sunk in the snow, it reaching up to his shins. Rushing chakra down to the sole of his shinobi sandal, Sasuke freed his feet one by one from the snow before placing his feet on it instead. Blowing out a breath Sasuke turned his eyes on the blank world around him.
He wasn't going to get anywhere with standing here. So he had no choice but to walk out into the depths, hoping he found some form of civilization.
With that in mind, the Uchiha trudged on in the snow.
Minutes.. hours? He couldn't tell how much had passed since he began his journey. He could tell one thing, however.
He was freaking annoyed.
Minutes into the journey, he had cloaked himself in chakra to keep himself warm. So that was at least one worry off the list. However, another was added.
How long could he keep it up?
With no end to the snow in sight and no signs of civilization, Sasuke couldn't keep himself from getting frustrated with his predicament.
Really, how the hell did he end up in this situation? If someone was fucking with him, he'd cut them up, revive them, then burn them to ashes with his Amaterasu, revive them again then run a Chidori through their heart.
With those thoughts in mind, the Uchiha felt himself calming down a little.
Yeah.. he'd get them.
And that's when he heard it. A roar.
His eyes widened before the raven-haired teen leaped up into the air, just nearly avoiding being the lunch of some bizarre creature. Wings like that of a crow, a tail similar to that of a scorpion. Its body was composed of black fur with bone-like protrusions littered around its body.
Landing in a crouch, Sasuke's Sharingan roared to life in his right eye, it morphing into the Mangekyou Sharingan. The creature was flying through the air ahead before it began to circle back around to attack him. Its head looked like that of a lion, a creature he had only seen in fiction, like Naruto's comic books. Horns like that of a bull protruded from its head.
Clicking his tongue, an aura made of purple chakra formed around Sasuke before a spectral skeletal-like arm formed from it. Steadying himself Sasuke waited for the beast to get within range.
In seconds, it closed the distance, raising its paw to cleave him in two. As its paw came down, seconds from crushing him, the skeletal arm came down smashing the beast into the ground, crushing it. The sound of bones cracking and crunching filled the air as the legs of the beast went limp. Seconds later its corpse began to dissipate, vanishing into the air like it was never there. Sasuke stood there in wonder.
What the hell was that? A beast that he had never seen before? How could that be? It wasn't a summon, nor a normal beast that lived in the world.
Sasuke's eyes shifted to the left and then to his right.
He was surrounded.
Roars filled the air as more of that beast appeared before him in a circle.
Reaching behind him Sasuke's hand landed on the hilt of his Kusanagi. He let out a breath.
"You're all making a mistake." His eyes slid close. "But if you want to die." His eyes shot open, an ominous glow radiating from them. "Then come."
At his beckoning, the creatures all lept from their place to rip him to shreds. Blurring, Sasuke disappeared from his spot in the middle of them to appear behind them, blade in hand.
With a flick of his blade, the beasts all split in two. Eyes turning to his left, Sasuke ducked as a paw swiped at the place he just was. Swinging his arm up, the Uchiha's blade sang through the air as it cut into the beast, bisecting it.
Another came in its place, biting at him. Sasuke lept up, placing an arm on its head, then pushing off it, he spun through the air. As another jumped up to catch him, Sasuke's arm came down splitting the creature from head to behind.
Landing in a crouch, the Uchiha rolled to his right just in time as one of the beasts landed where he was previously. Whirling around and holding his blade in a reverse grip, Sasuke cleaved through its legs, bringing it to the ground before circling around and running a Chidori-infused hand through its head.
Leaping back Sasuke avoided being crushed by another. Raising his hand, it blurred as he ran through some hand seals. Sucking in some air, Sasuke spewed a giant fireball.
"Katon: Gōkakyū!" The ball of fire flew through the air, melting the snow beneath and engulfing several of the beasts. The Jutsu continued down its warpath disappearing in the distance.
Landing again on the ground Sasuke stood as more of the beast rose from the snow. Shaking his head with a sigh, Sasuke ran forward, purple charka enveloping him as two spectral arms formed, chakra blades in hand. As he ran, several of the dark creatures charged him. Blurring again, Sasuke appeared in front of one. Leaning to his right so his side was facing the ground, the chakra blade cleaved through the ground and snow and rose up splitting the beast in two.
Kicking off its corpse, Sasuke slid back and spun, the arms holding out the blades horizontally. The blade went through a few of the beasts, splitting some in two, and decapitating others. Stopping himself, Sasuke backflipped into the air dodging another's claws by a hair's breadth. Landing on its back The Uchiha willed the blades away and gripped the beast's head with his Susanoo. With a quick twist, he snapped its neck.
Turning around he backhanded the next one crushing its head. Turning again, Sasuke ran his Kusanagi through another's head.
There were so many of them, it seemed like there was no end in sight. But then it happened. They stopped rushing him. His eyes narrowed slightly as their heads rose, ears flickering. Then they all turned around, lept into the air, and flew away.
Well, that was weird. What got their attention? Sasuke could only stand there in confusion. Well, whatever it was it didn't matter.
Breathing out through his mouth, Sasuke sheathed his sword. Standing up straight, the male looked around.
Not one corpse. They just vanished upon death. What the hell were they?
His lips pursed. He guessed it mattered little at the moment. He needed to find a village. Any kind to get out of this damn snow. To make matters worse, it was snowing heavier. Several expletives flew from his mouth.
Time to leave. He turned in a random direction and began to walk.
It'd be a while before he found someone.
Sasuke continued to trudge on, after his encounter with this beast, he was feeling a little hungry. Didn't help that he ate so light the day before.
Grumbling on and cursing his foolish, Sasuke stopped in place when something came into sight. Squinting his eyes, Sasuke could have gasped in that moment.
He didn't.
He found something! A house, or.. farm? Smirking, Sasuke shot forward, leaping towards the building. He came to a stop when he landed in front of a gate. Looking up, his face scrunched up.
Why couldn't he read the sign? It was written with letters he couldn't decipher.
The fuck? Clenching his teeth Sasuke looked forward and pushed the gates open. He sauntered in, walking past several unfamiliar structures, and a well. Finally, he stood before the house. His eyes narrowed.
Something seemed wrong. His eyes glanced to his right then his left.
It seemed far too quiet. Quickly, Sasuke slid up to the door standing just to the side of it. Grabbing the doorknob and turning it, Sasuke found that the place wasn't locked. His brows furrowed.
Unusual. Were they not afraid of people breaking in?
Moving into the house, Sasuke closed the door behind him silently. Quietly, he stalked into what should be the living.
Nothing. No one was there. He tried the kitchen next and came up empty. Did no one live here? The dishware and utensils were all placed in a wares drainer. And it looked like dust was gathering on them.
Exiting the kitchen, Sasuke came upon the stairs. Slowly, he crept up them so as not to make any noise. Though he wasn't sure if it mattered. It seemed like no one lived here. Reaching the top floor, Sasuke silently moved till he came upon the room. Again, leaning up against the side, he held the doorknob and turned. Slowly he pushed it and opened it and what he found had his eyes widening slightly.
Corpses. Old withered corpses lying in beds. What happened here? The residents were dead? And judging from where they laid, they died in their sleep.
Sasuke's face took on one of contemplation.
Either these people had a genjutsu placed on them which led to their deaths or...
Sasukes ears perked up.
"I don't get it. The empty towns I passed through were all damaged, unfished...
A voice, high pitched in tone. Likely that of a girls. Leaving the bedroom Sasuke stood at the top of the stairs.
"Hm.. stay on guard." Sasuke stood in place and stairs at the door. Suddenly, it was kicked open and several people rushed in. Immediately, Sasuke moved to his right-leaning up against the wall next to the door, out of sight. He glances out of the corner, eyeing the strangers. There were, what seemed to be several teens, and two adults, one being more elderly
They were all armed, ready as if to fight off an unknown assailant.
"Close the door already!" Shouted the old lady in the back. "It's cold enough already as it is."
She wasn't lying.
She ambled past them, ignoring them as they all lowered their weapons. They all stood in the doorway just looking at each other before one of them spoke up.
"We should block the door. Just in case." The girl with black hair with red tips was the one to offer the suggestion.
"Good idea." Agreed the white-haired one.
The boy, the one that seemed the youngest, and the girl with long raven hair walked into living quarters, returning with a dresser that they pushed up against the door.
Well, that was one exit blocked.
Great.
"I saw a chimney from the outside. Maybe we should get a fire going?" Offer the long black-haired girl. The girl with snow hair frowned.
"Please. I'll look for some blankets." With that, she headed for the stairs.
Shit. He could continue to hide.. but maybe these people could help him.
Unlikely, but it was better to try.
"Don't bother, you won't like what you'll see." He spoke up, stepping out from his hiding place. It was as if a bullet went off, everyone suddenly froze and tensed up. Quickly readying their weapons, they turned their eyes on the cold-eyed shinobi standing at the top of the stairs.
"Wh-who are you?" Questioned the girl with short black hair.
Sasuke exhaled softly. "A person with no ill intentions."
Ruby was unsure. Unsure of the raven-haired male standing before them. He appeared from nowhere! Or was he always there? She didn't know. His lack of presence made ascertaining his exact time of appearance quite confusing.
Squinting slightly, Ruby stared into his eyes. Were those commas in his left eye? Weird. But not only that, it held a weird aura to it. One that she found intimidating.
As if sensing her apprehension, Yang stepped in front of her, cutting off her sight of him.
"A person with no ill intentions? I'm not sure if I believe that." Yang spoke up, Ember Celica cocking at her side threateningly. Peeking out from Yang's side, Ruby watched as the male sighed.
"I'm not looking for a fight." He claimed. Ruby wasn't sure she believed that. While he didn't give off a dangerous vibe, Cinder didn't either when they first met. Or maybe she just wasn't looking for it at the time. She didn't know. But, she knew better than to take another's word for it.
"Well, you might have one if you don't explain yourself." His gaze shifted from Yang to Weiss. Her eyes followed his to her teammate. The snow-haired teen had her arms crossed, a frown strewn across her face.
"Explain myself?" He questioned, with a slight raise of a brow.
"Yes," she answered. "Who are you? What are you doing here? Depending on your answers, we might just have to attack." Now it was his turn to frown. It seemed like he didn't like what he heard.
"I'm seeking shelter. As for who I am..." He shook his head. "It doesn't matter." Yang aimed Ember Celica at him.
"You don't get to make that decision." She said. His head tilted slightly to the side, taking her words in.
"And If I don't answer?" He questioned. Yang gestured to her weapon.
"Then you won't like what comes next." The male stood there as if contemplating her words. Rather than answer her sister verbally he chose a different approach.
He began to descend the stairs.
Everyone aimed their weapons at him though Ruby hesitated slightly before raising hers in gun form. He continued his descent, his eyes taking on a look of steel and his face schooled into a one of impassiveness.
"Have it your way." He said, his tone frigid. Before everyone could unload on him, something happened. His eyes had narrowed a hair and it was there that Ruby found herself in a state of confusion.
She couldn't move her finger. Try as she might, she couldn't pull the trigger on Crescent Rose.
"Wh-what?" Came Blake's confused voice. Ruby tried to turn her head to her friend but found that she couldn't move her body either.
What was going on? Why couldn't she move?
"It seems like you guys are a little on edge." He said. Ruby shivered at the sound of his voice. It held an edge to it, one that promised violence. "If it's a fight you want, then I'd be happy to oblige. But I don't have time for that." He continued his descent down the stairs and when he hit the floor, he walked forward, coming to a stop before Yang.
"Let's talk." At first, Ruby thought that he was speaking to her sister, but when her eyes found his, she realized that that wasn't the case. He held her gaze for what seemed like an eternity, then his hand rose to land on her shoulder. She shook at the contact, her body breaking out into a cold sweat.
What was he going to do? He wanted to talk? About what? And why did he choose her?
"Y-you bastard. Stay away from my sister!" His eyes turned to Yang before settling back on her.
"Quiet. I'm not talking to you." Came his cold response. Ruby couldn't see her sister's face, but from the way she was shaking, she was sure that the blonde was mad.
"I said—!
"Shut up." At his command, her sister suddenly froze before falling forward, unconscious.
"Y-Yang!?" Ruby called, her eyes trying to find her sister but failing due to not being able to turn her head down. His hand fell from her shoulder and landed on her chin, tilting it up to face him. Her silver eyes found his coal and steel purple ones. Her face flushed slightly at their proximity. His lips quirked up a tad at that as if he found her unease amusing.
"She's fine. I just needed her to quiet down a little." He leaned back, removing his hand from her face. "You should be able to move now." And she could. immediately, she leaped back, leveling Cresent Rose at him. What she didn't account for was her friend being behind her. She bumped into Blake, knocking the girl off her feet.
"Ow!" She cried. Ruby turned to her quickly.
"Blake! I'm sorry!" That was a mistake. She had turned her back on him. Ruby froze as a presence appeared behind her. Quickly she whirled around, raising Cresent Rose, but came to a stop as a hand fell on her hand.
"Stop, or I'll put you into another Genjutsu." Ruby shook at his threat.
Genjutsu? What was that? Was that his semblance? If so, was that what he had used on them earlier? But if it was, what was that move he used to knock out Yang?
He patted her head making her blush again before his hand fell to his side. He turned to face the open room to the side of the entryway and nodded at her.
"Follow me." Then he began to walk away. As he left, Ruby let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding.
This man was dangerous, incredibly so. She was terrified. He hadn't even done much, beyond making their attempts to attack him useless.
"Ruby.. don't listen to him!" That was Weiss. Ruby turned to her friend, a hand on her chest to calm her rapidly beating heart. "He's dangerous, who knows what he might do to you!" And like that her heart rate sky rocked. She was right, she couldn't believe his attempts at peace. What if he was just lulling her into a sense of comfort? What if...
What if she was just being paranoid?
"She's right Ruby." Oscar decided to speak up for the first time since the appearance of the black-haired male. "You need to get out of here! He's likely plotting something." Ruby shook her head.
"I-I can't leave you guys!" It was at that moment that Ruby realized something. Someone was missing. That person being—
The sound of steel clashing suddenly filled the air. Ruby turned to the room that was on the left of the entryway and rushed in. Inside her eyes fell on the form of her uncle.
Qrow.
His weapon, Harbinger, filled the room with sparks as it clashed against the teen's own sword. Noticing his niece at the entrance, the older man called back.
"Ruby! Stay back, I'll take care of him!" The boy with whom he was crossing blades with had a look of vexation growing on his face.
"Honestly." Suddenly, Qrow froze. His sword fell from his hand, clattering on the ground. The man followed later, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. Ruby's eyes followed her uncle's form as it hit the ground, her mouth falling agape slightly. "You guys are making this more difficult than it needs to be."
"Uncle Qrow!" She called, she ran over his body. As she got to his side she ran her hands along his body, as if to search for some hidden injury.
"Look." She froze, then her eyes turned up to the boy who had effortlessly defeated her uncle, a huntsman. "We can do this the easy way, and talk." He turned to her, his eyes glinting dangerously. "Or we can do it the hard way, and I extract the information my way. The choice is yours." A shiver ran up the girl's spine, a feeling of dread pooling in her stomach.
He was going to kill them... he was really going to kill them! Tears began to well up in her eyes in fear. At the sight, the male's eyes softened and he sighed.
"Look." He began, kneeling next to her. Her eyes followed his movement. She could only flinch back in fear when his arm rose in her direction. His hand stopped at the move, clenched then pulled back. "I'm not going to hurt you. I don't want to hurt anyone." He said, giving a small comforting smile. It looked odd on his face. "I just want to ask some questions, then I will release your friends. Deal?"
Ruby blinked, some tears cascading down her face. "Question's?" He nodded.
"That's all I want." Again his hand reached for her. This time she didn't flinch back. He held it before her, palm facing up. Her eyes looked at it in confusion before picking up on what he meant.
He wanted to help her up. Her hand rose and fell into his. He stood up, pulling her to her feet then gestured to the one-seater placed in front of a fireplace.
"Sit." He commanded but winced at his words. "I mean.. take a seat." Again the black-haired girl blinked slowly. Was he trying to be... nice?
Nodding at his words, she walked over to the couch and took a seat. When she was seated he walked over to the fireplace and his hand blurred. He muttered something then expelled a small flame from his mouth. Ruby jumped at the sight.
He could breathe fire!? But how? Wasn't that Gen... Gensui? Gentutu... she couldn't remember what he called it, but wasn't that his semblance? Her face screwed up in contemplation. But what was that move he was using to knock people out? A semblance?
None of it made sense.
The sudden sound of something snapping in her face jolted her from her thoughts. Looking up she saw his hand in front of her face.
He was trying to get her attention.
She chuckled nervously, an embarrassed blush growing on her cheeks. "Sorry, got caught up in my head." He shook his head.
"I noticed." He said, moving away from her. He leaned up against the side of the fireplace, hand in his pocket, and nodded. "Ok, I'm going to ask you some questions. If you can't answer some, it's fine." Ruby held back a sigh of relief. it seemed that he was being a little nicer now.
"Ok.. what do you want to know?" His eyes shifted to the window.
"Where are we? Is this the Land of Iron?" Ruby tilted her at the question
"Land of... Iron?" Sasuke rose a brow at her confusion. Her eyes nervously darted to her uncle sprawled out on the floor before falling back on her feet. Taking a deep breath, she answered. " I've.. never heard of such a place."
"..."
Silence met her answer, and just like that fear crept up her spine. He surely didn't like that. And he was going to gut her for it.
