This is another late autumn fanfic. Now to speedrun writing Christmas fanfics on time, it'll be fun! I hope you enjoy!

Autumn was a peaceful time for all the leaves to change color and fall. Even the busy city of Paris was calmer. And much to the delight of Marinette, Luka, and the other Miraculous kids, there weren't many Akuma attacks this season. Luka could focus more on playing the guitar, and Marinette could have fun filling another scrapbook with bright autumn leaves; the two couldn't ask for anything better. They almost got so used to the sudden era of peace in Paris that they got too comfortable. Marinette and Luka wished it could always be like this, and there would be no walls or obstacles between them.
That was until they saw a giant leaf-blower Akuma near the Eiffel Tower, and Marinette and Luka could feel their world being rocked again. Marinette held on as the ground shook, glaring as she looked closer at the Akuma.
"A leaf blower?!" Marinette thought about how these Akumas were getting weirder and weirder. But things were almost quiet for the past month, and now a bothersome leaf blower Akuma was off to ruin everything. Why couldn't she stay with Luka and listen to his beautiful music all day while working on her art?
Marinette didn't know that Luka felt the same way, but as a young hero with the power to reset time, he had to grit his teeth and bear it. Luka heard Marinette sigh and placed his hand on her shoulder. Marinette felt her heart skip a beat as she thought the world got calmer, if just for a moment. However, there was no way she could close her eyes and forget about the people in Paris being in danger.
"Let's head to a shelter," Luka said gently.
Marinette placed her hand on his, and then she felt him wrapping his arm around her quickly and pulling her to safety when a bunch of autumn leaves shot at them; the leaves were as fierce as ninja stars, and Marinette was lucky that Luka was around to protect her. Marinette thanked him as she wrapped her arms around his strong chest and cursed herself, thinking she was the hero and supposed to protect Luka, not the other way around! But briefly, she questioned how Luka had such a good reaction time.
Marinette couldn't ask though, as Luka took her hand, and they ran down the concrete stairs quickly but carefully. She wished she could transform into Ladybug and take Luka away from this place, but she couldn't do something so reckless as to reveal herself as a hero to Luka.
Thankfully, the nearest safe area was within running distance, and both of them ran as if they were about to be first at the finish line.
Marinette would almost find a giant leaf blower Akuma covered all of Paris in leaves funny if not for the disruptive noise and that one time when an irresponsible leaf blower worker blew leaves in her face. This leaf blower Akuma was that disruptive noise times twenty, and soon all the trees of Paris would be rid of leaves while all buildings would be buried in leaf piles.
Ladybug would never forgive this, but right now, Marinette and her best friend Luka were being greeted by a few adults in the safe building and told to come in and to rest assured that Ladybug, Viperion, and the other heroes would save the day once more.
And Marinette and Luka found themselves in a crowd of multiple strangers voicing their concerns. With all these people, Marinette needed to hold Luka's hand, and Luka squeezed her hand gently in response. Both of them were too worried to make this awkward. But Luka knew he had a responsibility, so he turned to Marinette and looked her in the eye.
"I'll be right back Marinette."
Marinette immediately frowned, which caused his heart to break slightly as he gingerly let go of her hand.
"But Luka…" Marinette clenched her other hand as Luka gave her his trademark reassuring look.
"I promise I will be right back Marinette."
Marinette crossed her arms. "Ok then!"
Luka walked through the crowd and spoke to two of the adults who were watching the entrance. He made up a story about how he dropped his mother's locket as he and Marinette ran for the shelter. While the two adults insisted a teenage boy like himself should wait it out and his life was more important, Luka could convince the two adults with his charm of being very mature for his age. Something he earned from his own upbringing and his experience being a hero. Luka convinced both adults that he would be back in five minutes sharp and knew how to be careful during Akuma attacks, so he quickly headed out the door. Little did he know that Marinette was quietly sneaking out through the back like a shadow on the wall.
Luka ran in his civilian form as if there wasn't danger all around him, with peaceful autumn leaves being used for evil, but Sass the snake Kwami was always by his side. He ran into the bright sunlight towards the direction where the giant leaf blower Akuma was wreaking havoc in the city and transformed.
"Sass! Scales! Sliver!"
Meanwhile, Marinette took a moment to mentally prepare as Tikki greeted her. She hated that autumn was in jeopardy because of the Akuma, but at the same time, the young girl would do anything to save autumn, for she had the power to do anything and protect everything she loved.
"Let's do it Tikki! Spots on!"
Marinette's ladybug suit magically covered her body and concealed her identity as she twirled around with the autumn leaves surrounding her. She grinned before manifesting her magical yo-yo and twirled it around in circles to swing and fly towards the giant Akuma.
Ladybug landed gracefully on a tall building and looked the Akuma dead in the eye. The young teenage superhero girl was as fierce as ever.
"Your day of reckoning is coming, leaf blower Akuma!" Ladybug yelled.
The leaf blower with a mind of its own winced from being yelled at, and even if the giant leaf blower didn't have eyes, it unmistakably responded to the little ladybug glaring at it.
"Just in time Ladybug," cried a familiar suave voice.
Ladybug gasped as she turned and saw Viperion smoothly leaning nearby. Her heart skipped a beat.
"Viperion!" Ladybug cried as she clasped her hands together.
Viperion smiled in return, but then in the corner of his eye, he noticed the giant leaf blower was aiming its nozzle towards them, and Viperion quickly ran to Ladybug.
"Ladybug, we need to stay vigilant; follow me!" Viperion cried.
"Right!" Ladybug cried as the two heroes jumped into the sky before the leaf blower could hit them with sharp autumn leaves. Ladybug and Viperion landed on another roof, took a moment to take cover, and watched the mechanical monster from afar.
Ladybug groaned under her breath.
"Of all things to create with evil power, a giant leaf blower?!" Ladybug cried. She truly felt like the mysterious villain that terrorized Paris on the regular was an unfortunate and pathetic person.
"This will certainly be an interesting mission," Viperion muttered.
Ladybug removed herself from hiding and took a moment to stomp her foot in front of Viperion, and Viperion knew to let the powerful Ladybug have a moment as he watched her.
"Autumn is an amazing time of year! I collect leaves, drink hot chocolate, and make cookies in peace! But leaf blowers are too noisy and sometimes cause more mess! So a giant leaf blower Akuma is an absolute nightmare!"
Viperion stepped closer to Ladybug and placed his hand on her shoulder. "We'll save autumn Ladybug. I know we will."
Viperion turned and saw the other miraculous heroes at a distance. "Well, the others have decided to arrive late at the party."
At a distance, Carapace, Rena Rouge, Ryuuko, Chat Noir, and Queen Bee were standing side by side. Viperion and Ladybug could tell Chat Noir once again tried to act tougher than he actually was by pointing a claw at the giant leaf blower and trying to 1-up it.
The leaf blower blew many leaves in the heroes' direction as they scattered around like helpless bugs.
"Somehow, Chat Noir managed to piss off a leaf blower," Ladybug cried.
Ladybug shook her head as she took Viperion's hand. "Come on Viperion! Let's help them!"
Ladybug and Viperion jumped over the giant leaf blower and landed in front of their superhero friends to guard them.
The leaves were strong. It was terrible the gentle symbol of autumn was being used as a weapon, and Ladybug and Viperion's power barely held up to it. Ladybug still turned back to look her teammates in the eye though.
"Are you guys alright?" Ladybug cried.
Chat Noir and Ryuuko were close to each other as multiple rips were in their superhero outfits from being cut by leaves. They took a moment to patch up the slashes with their powers. Queen Bee was having a Queen Bee moment with how her superhero outfit was ruined by those stupid Akuma leaves, and Rena Rouge and Carapace were there to console her.
"We're surviving!" Chat Noir blurted.
The leaves stopped, and Ladybug and Viperion got into fighting stances.
"Well shake it off everyone! We will defeat this Akuma!" Ladybug cried.
And they had to move quickly. All the buildings in Paris were covered in leaves!
"Pretty soon Paris will be a giant leaf pile!" Viperion cried.
Ladybug shook her head.
"Hey big mean Akuma!" Ladybug cried.
The faceless Akuma once again turned to the tiny heroes. The wind was at their backs, but Ladybug didn't falter.
"Surrender now or face all of us!" Ladybug cried.
The giant leaf blower wasn't deterred and instead summoned more malicious autumn leaves.
Ladybug glared. "Fine then! Let's get it everyone!"
Ladybug and the others jumped, preparing to disarm the leaf blower with multiple hits. Ladybug let out a fierce battle cry, but vicious gusts of wind caused the heroes to flail around, and the leaf blower used its nozzle to launch all the heroes like darts at a giant leaf pile. All the heroes did a collective groan.
Oh, how Ladybug appreciated peaceful autumn days because of this. Autumn leaves were meant for beauty and fun, not destruction. But then it hit her! Looking at all the autumn leaves that covered all of Paris. Ladybug knew she could use that against the leaf blower.
Ladybug pulled herself out of the leaf pile, and her teammates followed, shaking off any leaves that clung to them.
"Are you guys ok?" Ladybug asked. "I'm sorry if I was being reckless."
"We couldn't blame you for a second Ladybug," Rena Rouge said as Carapace removed a leaf from her hair.
Ladybug looked at the giant leaf blower, which was still hellbent on terrorizing Paris, and then back at her teammates. "Well, I have an idea! Distract the leaf blower, and use the leaves against it!"
The teammates nodded and got ready to distract the leaf blower, but Viperion gave Ladybug a concerned look as she twirled her yo-yo.
She knew Viperion's stubbornness, so she looked him straight in the eye.
"I'll finish things off at the Seine. Just make sure that monster is filled with plenty of leaves!" Ladybug said as she tossed her yo-yo and swung away.
Viperion didn't want their leader to do anything reckless, but she counted on them.
He used his time reset powers to tip the scale in favor of his friends and make the best outcome, but he turned to the Seine and saw a giant red leaf, one he knew could only be created by Ladybug.
Chat Noir landed beside him, but Viperion was too distracted to notice.
"Go to her Vivi!" Chat Noir cried.
Viperion's heart skipped a beat as he saw his black cat comrade give him a stern look. Viperion activated his bracelet and disappeared, and Chat Noir chuckled under his breath, thinking Viperion was hopeless.
Ladybug did create a giant autumn leaf for the big leaf blower. But this giant leaf had something special in it. She just had to wait for her friends to fill the leaf blower, and then…
"Second chance!"
Ladybug's heart skipped a beat as Viperion teleported to her side. "Viperion?!"
Ladybug gave her partner a stern look and pointed back at the city. "Viperion, you're supposed to help the others!"
Viperion looked Ladybug in the eye. "You can't do this on your own Ladybug."
Ladybug gasped as a crash rang from a distance. The akumatized leaf blower was coming for them, and Ladybug stood her ground when the leaf blower stood on the other side of the Seine. Even if Ladybug was once again taking charge and trying to do everything, Viperion stood patiently behind her, ready to be there for her.
Ladybug glaring at the giant leaf blower stomping toward them was like seeing an average-sized ladybug face off against a leaf blower on a typical day. But this little Ladybug didn't stir at all from the malicious Akuma. She clenched her hands into fists as if she was about to punch the leaf blower into next week as she started glowing red from her powers; even Viperion was stunned.
"Hey giant noisy leaf blower!" Ladybug cried as loudly as she could. "You ruined a beautiful autumn day and nobody can enjoy the leaves because of you! Your evil powers made autumn leaves into something everyone in Paris fears!"
The giant leaf blower didn't stir as Ladybug shook angrily, and autumn leaves flew around her from activating her powers. "I'll… I'll never forgive you!"
Viperion raised his arm and noted to himself: never try to ruin the autumn season. Not just because it would be a terrible thing to do to everyone, but Ladybug will beat you up before murdering you.
Then Ladybug pointed at the giant red autumn leaf behind them.
"So come and get it!" She cried.
Viperion nearly fell over when he saw that giant leaf was really millions of magical ladybugs carrying bright red leaves, and together, they formed a giant leaf. A giant leaf that the leaf blower didn't hesitate to suck up into its nozzle. The leaf blower sucked the entire leaf up, but it looked as if it was too much for it to handle as the Akuma lost its footing and fell into the Seine. Ladybug rejoiced to herself, and Viperion couldn't hide the impressed look on his face, but this wasn't over.
Ladybug quickly took Viperion's hand. "Come with me!"
Viperion blinked his eyes, wondering what Ladybug was thinking about, and she transformed into her tiny ladybug form. Viperion followed, transforming into his miniature naga form. The two small heroes flew into the leaf blower's nozzle, and Viperion never thought he would explore the inside of an Akumatized leaf blower before. In these long, tiresome days of being a hero, he figured now was the day he officially saw everything.
But Viperion's hand slipped from Ladybug's as he saw little magical ladybugs causing mischief and playing in the leaves like it was some party. In the center of this monstrosity was a regular-sized leaf blower infected by the Akuma.
"Aha! There it is!" Ladybug cried.
Ladybug flew ahead, and Viperion followed behind. Her blue eyes glinted as she turned back to Viperion.
"Vi, can you help me destroy this thing?" Ladybug started off with an eager kick.
Viperion chuckled. "Of course Ladybug."
Viperion was let off guard as Ladybug knocked the leaf blower in his direction. "Then catch!" Ladybug cried.
Viperion knocked the leaf blower in her direction with his tail, and the two of them played what looked like a game of ping pong. They weren't making a dent, but they were certainly having a lot of fun. It wasn't until the magic ladybugs became interested in ripping the leaf blower apart that the party really started. All the ladybugs made dents in the leaf blower until it broke with a satisfying crack, and the Akuma was finally released. The giant leaf blower they were stuck in disappeared, and Ladybug, Viperion, and the magic bugs were free.
Ladybug flung her yo-yo to capture the Akuma but felt guilty when she fell into Viperion's arms. Viperion quickly used his time reset powers to teleport them, and the magic ladybugs took the broken leaf blower away. Viperion and Ladybug were teleported back to the autumn trees by the Seine. Ladybug took a moment to purify the Akuma and change it back to a beautiful white butterfly. She whispered goodbye to the butterfly as it flew away and saw the magical ladybugs bringing the broken leaf blower to them.
Ladybug grinned, activated her powers with an energetic red glow, and used that power on the leaf blower.
"Miraculous Ladybug!"
The magical red ladybugs were extra energetic today, cleaning Paris of all the malicious autumn leaves. All the autumn leaves that clung to the buildings became harmless leaf piles back on the ground. The other heroes were stunned to see how beautiful Paris looked, and the civilians of Paris were thrilled that there were so many fun leaf piles; many of the children rushed over to jump in them. Not to mention, an innocent leaf-blower man got his leaf-blower back thanks to the magical ladybugs.
Carapace smiled fondly at Rena Rouge as she glanced at all the beautiful orange leaves, and eventually, Rena Rouge took notice, wondering why Carapace gave her such a goofy grin.
"Y'know, Rena, you look absolutely stunning against all these leaves," Carapace said.
Rena Rouge grinned before taking his hand and clueing him in before jumping in a pile of leaves with her.
Chat Noir was busy playing with the kids who asked him, and it was good fun; Ryuuko couldn't help but smile fondly as well, but then Chat Noir flashed a toothy grin.
"Hey Ryuuko!" Chat Noir said before jumping in a big pile of leaves like a cat jumping into a pool.
Ryuuko couldn't help but giggle with her hand over her lips before coming over to take his hands. But Chat Noir gave her a sly grin and pulled her into the leaf pile with him as they laughed and snuggled in the leaves.
Queen Bee was about to lose her mind.
"Ugh! Everyone has someone! I couldn't even spend time with Viperion! He is always so close to Ladybug!" Queen Bee cried.
But all of Queen Bee's hero friends gestured to her to join the fun, and Queen Bee finally managed to smile a little. "Then again…"
Queen Bee ran over to play with her hero friends and the children to prove she was the queen of autumn. Or at least she will be the queen of autumn and beat Ladybug by a landslide.
Meanwhile, by the Seine, the Ladybugs were finishing their creations by restoring beautiful autumn leaves on the trees. When the ladybugs were done, the biggest autumn leaves started to fall around Ladybug and Viperion.
Viperion was pleased that they could create the most beautiful autumn day in a long time, and it felt like the entire world slowed down, and the heroes could finally relax, if only just for now. He would live in this moment with Ladybug and his friends. But then Ladybug caught a giant red leaf that caught her attention and smiled to show it to him.
Just then, Viperion was reminded of a girl with blue pigtails who loved collecting beautiful autumn leaves and filling as many scrapbooks as possible.
"She kind of reminds me of…" Viperion thought.
"...Marinette." But Viperion stopped himself before saying that out loud.
He couldn't bring himself to say it for some reason as he watched Ladybug collect the giant autumn leaves. Viperion smiled at her as she turned and smiled at him with a big pile she was proud of collecting.
When night fell, the heroes were alerted that Master Fu planned a surprise for everyone. Ladybug told Viperion that she just wanted to go home and rest, but with his hands on her shoulders, Ladybug was persuaded to come to Master Fu's house in the dead of night. When they finally saw the surprise, Ladybug's eyes went wide and sparkled at the big pile of marinated turkey legs on the table, which her hero friends enjoyed very much. The other heroes waved and said hello to Ladybug and Viperion as they feasted, and Ladybug happily obliged to be a part of this dinner party.
Viperion sat across Ladybug as he enjoyed eating a giant turkey leg. Ladybug shamelessly ate two of them with vigor, mumbling words like "succulent" and "tasty" before chugging down apple cider. Viperion grinned, showing his fangs, and he decided to join her in enthusiastic eating. Chat Noir was stunned to see the Ladyboss eating like anything other than a lady, but Ryuuko placed her hand on his arm and gave him a warm smile as the two of them continued enjoying the marinated turkey wings.
That night, Ladybug could eat twice her weight but found her resolve to finish off two more while feeling the cool evening air and watching the stars and moon above her. Viperion quietly decided to meet up with her, and Ladybug's heart skipped a beat when her best friend met up with her on this beautiful night.
"Viperion!"
Viperion chuckled under his breath. "I hope you enjoyed coming out tonight, Ladybug."
Ladybug gave a pleased hum as she set her bird leg aside. "Viperion, may I ask you something?"
"Sure Ladybug."
"When we are much older, I won't just be eating delicious bird legs; I will also be drinking lots of alcohol once I am old enough."
Viperion didn't find that hard to believe, but he could only go back in time, so right now, he could only imagine.
"So when I need to drink away my problems, will you promise to be beside me?"
Viperion smiled warmly and walked up to her, looking into her deep, mysterious blue eyes as if he were trying to make her blush.
"Of course Ladybug, always." He said as he placed his hand on his heart.
Ladybug promptly took his hand in hers. "Good!" She grinned. "Because I could use another round of apple cider!"
Viperion gave her a cheeky grin and used his powers to summon two gold glasses of cider.
"Oh thank you Viperion!" Ladybug cried as she took a glass.
The heroes cheered their glasses, and Ladybug started to chug again.
The two sat together and enjoyed their drinks in peace, ready for whatever big Akuma threat they would face next.
Yes, this was meant to be a slight nod to Thanksgiving, it's just not exactly because I know Thanksgiving isn't a French holiday. The idea at the end came from when I was talking to my friends about Thanksgiving and how I was told it's better to make turkey legs than an actual turkey. It reminded me of how succulent turkey legs looked in Disney movies and how I had a huge appetite as a kid and watching Disney movies made me always want to eat snacks.
