Another Very Possible Christmas
AN: This story is standalone and does not take place within my "Sitch Of" universe. In the spirit of Christmas, I decided to make a Christmas themed Kim Possible story. I think I'm also going to make this a multi-chapter story.
It was Christmas Eve in Upperton, the town just north of Middleton, Colorado. Ron Stoppable was waiting in his apartment for his childhood friend and loving girlfriend Kim Possible to show up. It was the following December after Kim and Ron had defeated the Lowardians and graduated from High School. Since then, Ron had been very happy for the following reasons. Not only were he and Kim accepted into the same college (which was Upperton), but he and Kim had gotten an off-campus apartment so they could live together. Granted, they still had to sleep in separate rooms, but that didn't bother Ron since they still spend plenty of time together. Kim's mother, Anne, was especially happy that Kim and Ron chose to go to her old college (much to the dismay of Kim's father, James.) On top of that, Kim had officially named Ron her crime-fighting partner instead of a sidekick. Not to mention, Ron had been stepping up a lot more and more lately after he had saved Kim from the Lorwardians. Between joining the football team and doing well in his classes, Ron was doing really well for his first few months in college. Not a single bad grade like in high school. It was like getting full control of his monkey powers had freed up a mental block. And tonight, Kim and Ron were going to spend Christmas Eve together and then go over to Middleton to spend Christmas with their families. Ron had decided to leave Rufus with his parents in Middleton since he wanted it to be a night alone with Kim. And Ron had a very special surprise for his girlfriend that he was going to unveil after he and his girlfriend had dinner.
"Alright," Ron said to himself. "Dinner cooking, table set, candles lit, gifts wrapped. All set for my soon-to-be-amazing Christmas Eve night with my badical girlfriend."
As if on cue, Ron heard a knock on his door.
"Coming!" Ron announced as he ran over to the door.
Ron opened the door and saw Kim standing on the other side with a big smile on her face. She also had a gift bag in her hand.
"Hiya, Ronnie," Kim said in a flirty voice. "Merry Christmas Eve."
"Hey, KP," Ron responded in a flirty tone. "Same to you, my bon-digity girlfriend."
Kim walked into Ron's apartment before the two crime-fighting teens wrapped their arms around each other and shared a kiss.
After breaking the kiss, Ron realized something.
"Opps, I forgot to put the mistletoe up above the doorway," Ron said in embarrassment.
Kim shrugged, "Don't worry about it, Ron. I'd happily kiss you either way."
Ron smirked, "Well, in that case, may I have another kiss?"
"You certainly may," Kim responded.
Kim leaned in and gave Ron another kiss which he returned.
After breaking the kiss, Ron spoke, "Dinner is just about ready, KP and let me tell you it'll be delicious."
"I've no doubt about that Ronnie," Kim replied.
Ron pointed to the gift in Kim's hand, "You can put the gift on the couch. We'll open each other's gifts after dinner," he then thought to himself. "And my gift will be the best surprise you've ever gotten."
Kim nodded. She went over and placed the gift bag on the couch in Ron's apartment. She then went over to the dinner table as Ron gestured for her to take a seat.
"Take a seat, my lady," Ron said in a cheesy British accent. "And dinner will be out shortly."
Kim giggled, "Very well, my good man."
As Ron took a seat himself, he spoke, "I tell you, KP, our first post graduation Christmas will be the best one ever!"
Kim giggled, "I have no doubt of that."
Ron suddenly frowned and then sighed, "Just as long as no bad guy decides to try taking over the world on Christmas again."
"It's ok, Ron," Kim reassured her boyfriend. "Wade said that no villains had been at large these past few days. Especially Drakken and Shego since they decided to go straight following the Lorwardian Invasion."
This was true. After Kim and Ron's arch foes, Dr. Drakken and Shego, helped them save the world from those evil, vindictive aliens, known as the Lorwardians, the two villains decided to try living an honest life.
"Yeah, Drakken and Shego giving up villainy," Ron spoke. "That's one thing I hadn't imagined happening for a while."
"Me neither," Kim added. "But I'm certainly glad it did. Of course, they wouldn't cause trouble during Christamas anyway since Drakken declared a truce following that one Christmas where you tried to stop him on your own."
Ron sighed, "Don't remind me. I wanted to give you a great Christmas by stopping the bad guy myself so that you could spend Christmas with your family, but I ended up having to make you rescue me instead."
"Hey, Ron, I told you," Kim said in a reassuring voice. "That time, when I said Christmas rocked, I really did mean it. Even though I almost got eaten by an anaconda."
"I hear ya, KP," Ron said.
"Although, I would ferociously appreciate it if you didn't go on any more missions without telling me," Kim spoke with a stern look. "After all, that Christmas, I thought I was gonna lose you. Don't get me wrong, I ferociously love it when you step up to help me when the sitch calls for it. Like when you rescued me from the Lorwardians during Graduation."
Ron giggled, "Yeah.
"But still, whenever we're faced with a really tough sitch, we should face it together," Kim said.
"I know, KP," Ron said reassuringly. "And I promise that I'll never go on a mission alone again unless the sitch calls for it. Though, I still like being able to use my monkey powers to "take the lead" if you know what I mean."
Kim chuckled, "True that."
Ever since Ron got full control of his monkey powers, he would sometimes use them, albeit subtly, whenever they were in a pinch while stopping a villain. Whenever Kim was in danger, Ron would use his powers to literally lay the hurt on the villain that was about to hurt her. Or simply just to save Kim from being crushed by falling debris. It was Ron's way of showing how much he truly cared about Kim and Kim loved it.
Just then, the sound of a timer going off was heard coming from the kitchen.
"Ooh, dinners ready!" Ron announced. He went into the kitchen to get their dinner.
A few minutes later, Kim and Ron were eating a ham that Ron had cooked. And Kim did indeed think that Ron's cooking was delicious just like always. It was one of the many things she loved about him. Along with his kind and gentle nature, his goofy attitude, his ability to step up when the situation calls for it… and his complete devotion to Kim herself. Not to mention his weirdness. Kim did like "weird" after all.
Soon it was time for Kim and Ron to open each other's gifts. Ron insisted that he save his gift for last, claiming that it was something very special. Kim agreed and offered Ron to open her gift first.
"Here you go, Ronnie," Kim said, handing her gift bag to Ron.
Ron reached into the gift bag and found two rectangular shaped boxes. One was bigger than the other. Ron decided to open the bigger one first. He opened the box to find a framed picture of himself and Kim at a very familiar event.
"You put our Junior Prom photo in a picture frame?" Ron asked happily.
Kim nodded with a big grin, "I know how much you love that picture, so I decided to frame it for you."
This was true. Not only was Junior Prom where Kim and Ron had their first date, it was also when they had their first kiss. Well, maybe not their very first kiss, if you count the moodulator incident. Of course, prior to that date, Kim and Ron had to go through foiling yet another of Drakken and Shego's evil plots, not to mention a fake robot boy made of green goo, but still it was a night for them to remember.
Ron started tearing up. In an instant, he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend.
"It's-It's badical," Ron said in a choked up voice. "Thanks, KP."
Kim smiled as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend while patting him on the back.
After breaking the hug, Ron took notice of the other smaller gift.
"Now what's this?" Ron wondered aloud. Ron took the gift in his hands and opened it revealing a certain PDA-like device that Ron recognized.
"Is this… a kimmunicator?" Ron asked in disbelief. "You're giving me my own kimmunicator?!"
"I decided to give you my old kimmunicator," Kim explained. "Or Ronmunicator, if you'd like to call it that."
Ron smiled and started to tear up again.
"Thanks, KP," Ron said as he hugged her again.
Kim smiled warmly as she hugged her boyfriend back.
After breaking the hug, Ron reached over from behind him and grabbed the gift bag containing his gift to Kim.
"Here you go, KP. And let me tell you, this gift will be so much better than Bueno Nacho Bueno bucks," He said in a joking tone.
Kim giggled, "Good to know that."
Kim took the bag from Ron. She reached into it and pulled something out. It looked like a scrapbook. It had a picture of Kim and Ron hugging each other.
Below it was a heart on the bottom of the cover with an inscription on it that said K + R.
Kim was completely awestruck. Even more so when she opened the book and found pictures of them when they were a couple. And some from before they became a couple. There were pictures of Junior Prom, Senior Prom, the Homecoming Dance, Graduation…
"I decided to put together a scrapbook with pictures of us in it," Ron explained. "Just another way of showing how important you are to me, KP."
Kim started tearing up. And a big smile spread across her face. In a flash, put the book down before she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend and hugged him tightly.
"Oh, Ronnie, it's amazing," Kim said, weeping with happiness. "You are so sweet!"
"Thanks, KP," Ron said as he returned the hug.
"You know, Ron," Kim started speaking. "As long as we're here there's something I want to tell you."
"What is it, Kim?" Ron asked.
"I've been thinking about it and I've decided I want to move in with you in your apartment," Kim informed.
Ron was greatly surprised by this revelation.
"You… wanna live… with me?!" Ron said, completely thunderstruck. He honestly didn't think Kim would make that decision all on her own. Not without asking her a certain… question, anyway.
"Of course, I do," Kim said with a warm smile. She took Ron's hands into her own. "I'm glad for us to be living in the same apartment building and going to the same school. But I decided I want to be closer to you than that. You mean everything to me, Ronnie, and just like you said to me during graduation, I can't live without you. I already talked to my parents and they said it was ok. And I'd like to start moving in after we come back after our trip to Middleton tomorrow."
Upon hearing those words, tears of joy started streaming down Ron's face. He then decided that now was the perfect time to reveal his "surprise".
"In that case, KP," Ron said. "I have one more present/surprise for you."
Kim gained a look of confusion as Ron reached into his pocket and pulled a small box before he started getting down on one knee.
Kim's heart nearly stopped as she started to realize what Ron was about to do. She also gasped in shock.
Ron then opened the box revealing a beautiful emerald ring… before he asked a question that would make his girlfriend the happiest girl in the world.
"Kimberly Anne Possible… will you marry me?" Ron asked in a gentle tone.
Kim was completely thunderstruck. So much that she couldn't speak as tears of joy started streaming down her face. She even trembled a little bit. Ron, her best friend/partner/boyfriend that she loved with all her heart and wanted to move in with, was asking her to marry him?! If that was indeed the case, then her answer was a total no-brainer. Unable to speak due to being speechless, Kim, deciding to use action instead of words, leapt right at Ron and wrapped her arms around him before she kissed him with all of the passion she could muster. Ron wrapped his arms around Kim and kissed back just as passionately.
The kiss lasted more than 10 seconds.
As soon as the crime-fighting couple parted, Ron had the goofiest grin on his face.
"So… I guess I'll take that as a 'yes'?" Ron asked in a goofy tone.
Kim giggled, "Yes, you should."
Ron then took the ring out of the box and slipped it onto Kim's finger. The two teens then embraced in another big hug.
"Thank you, Ronnie," Kim said in a soft, happy tone. "You just made this the happiest night of my life. I love you so very much!"
"I love you so very much too, KP," Ron said softly.
Not even caring that they weren't under the mistletoe, Kim and Ron once again shared a passionate kiss. They couldn't wait to tell their families about this when they went over to Middileton.
To be continued…
