With Rayman; he and Doctor Strange were in a building where one of the pictures was taken and noticed the glyph combo.
"What do you make of this?" said Rayman.
Strange inspected the glyph combo.
"No doubt about it, it's witchcraft, a teleportation spell no less." said Strange.
"Is it still useable?" said Rayman.
Strange nodded.
"Yes." said Strange.
"But it's weird that the glyph's are still in place. If it were used using regular Titan's blood, then the glyph should have disappeared." said Rayman.
"That's what I don't get." said Strange.
He cast the glyph spell using his hands and suddenly he and Rayman appeared in Gravesfield.
Rayman turned his head around.
"Hey what the?" said Rayman.
"This must be Gravesfield." said Strange.
Rayman looked at Strange.
"Gravesfield, didn't this place have witch hunting history?" said Rayman.
Strange nodded.
"Yes." said Strange.
Rayman walked around the place.
"I don't know why we'd end up here. Kind of seems weird since you must not have been thinking about Gravesfield." said Rayman.
"I wasn't, I was thinking about where the glyph combo originated from. Seems like whoever made it came from this town." said Strange.
Rayman did some thinking.
"I just had a hunch." said Rayman.
Strange looked at the limbless hero.
"What?" said Strange.
"How many humans prior to Luz Noceda have arrived in the Demon Realm and learned glyph magic before eventually mastering glyph combos?" said Rayman.
Strange did some thinking.
"Just two other humans." said Strange.
Rayman then did some more thinking.
"The Wittbane brothers." said Rayman.
He walked down a sidewalk as Strange followed.
"Caleb was the first human in the Demon Realm after being enchanted by a witch while Philip went after him thinking that his older brother was lead astray. But discovered that he gave up his witch hunting ways and settled down with the same witch and eventually had a child, leading to Philip killing his brother out of pure anger, becoming Emperor Belos, and deciding to exterminate the entire Demon Realm population to keep his trip from being all for nothing." said Rayman.
"But since he only convinced the population of the Boiling Isles to follow him to their deaths, he would have had to travel to another Titan and try and do the same thing all over again, yet he wouldn't have succeeded since he didn't have enough time to pull off the same scam again." said Strange.
"And his last scam involved possessing the entire Boiling Isles, which would have been perfectly successful had it not been for the last adult Titan giving his powers to Luz temporarily to stop Belos and leading to him dying permanently." said Rayman.
He looked at Strange.
"Would it be possible for Belos to have found a way to make himself a ghost just moments before his skull was crushed to a pulp?" said Rayman.
"If he still had a little bit of magic left?" said Strange.
"We should check out the same house Luz first discovered the Demon Realm to see if there's any clues to what's going on. I've got a strange feeling that Belos might still be alive to some extent and is planning his return." said Rayman.
"What're you hoping to find in that house?" said Strange.
"Don't know yet, hopefully something that might have been left behind by Caleb Wittbane sometime after his death." said Rayman.
Meanwhile on the Boiling Isles; Eda, King, Hailey, Scott, and Beta were walking around a market.
King became confused.
"Wait, why am I here?" said King.
"Because the main author said so." said Eda.
King nodded.
"Fair enough." Said King.
Hailey noticed some type of powder and looked at the recipe list then at the powder.
Hailey picked up the item.
"You suppose this fic will end with Rayman getting a job offer from CNN and he accepts it and it's revealed that he's now living in a penthouse apartment?" said Scott.
Hailey shrugged.
"Maybe, it would be cool." She said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he also ends up getting a personal sushi chef." said Scott.
"Will there be California Rolls in the end as well?" said King.
"Who knows?" said Hailey.
Eda looked at the list.
"Pickled pigs bladder." said Eda.
Beta saw a jar of pickled pigs bladder and picked it up.
"Here we are." said Beta.
"At this rate, we should have enough to open up an all you can eat witch restaurant." said Scott.
Meanwhile in the Bonesburough Library; Luz, Amity, Molly, Ollie, and Scratch were in the library heading towards the Forbidden Stacks.
"I don't know why you'd want to go to the Forbidden Stacks, just leave me out of it. I almost lost my job for being in there once." said Amity.
"Relax Hermosa, we just need a book on forbidden spells. Rayman seems to have a strange feeling about something due to getting mistaken for some other reporter." said Luz.
The group stopped at the entrance to the forbidden stacks.
"Here we are, the place where only the most valuable of reading material is in. Whatever you want, you'd better be fast about getting it before your caught." said Amity.
Ollie gulped.
"I don't feel safe entering this room if no one else is to be allowed in." said Ollie.
"Ollie's right, we need someone who can easily slip in and out without being spotted, I vote Scratch." said Molly.
"I DEMAND A RECOUNT!" yelled Scratch.
"SHHHH, quiet. This is a library." Amity said quietly.
Scratch cleared his throat.
"I demand a recount." Scratch whispered.
Amity smiled.
"Better." She said.
But then Scratch was shoved into the Forbidden Stacks by all four people with Molly's phone in hand and he was mad.
"Mean." said Scratch.
He floated off and started looking through the library.
"Sheesh, if Luz had came across the journal of Philip Wittbane in this part of the library, then considering the type of person he truly was, it's no surprise why that was locked away in here." said Scratch.
He kept on floating through the library and passed a book titled 'Forbidden Spells, New Edition' before returning and looked at it.
"Hmmm." said Scratch.
He pulled out the book and opened it up before stopping at a page and saw an entry for the Draining Spell.
"The draining spell, a deadly spell that could drain the magic and life force of anyone with magic within that requires sigil magic, the nine main covens and the coven heads and an eclipse will make the spell take effect." said Scratch.
He sighed.
"Boy ain't that true?" said Scratch.
He looked at the page some more and noticed something else.
"Hypothetically speaking, it was discovered by the Oracle Coven head that if a human who has no magical powers within them were to have been branded with a coven sigil, then the draining spell would have no effect whatsoever." said Scratch.
He then flipped the book closed and pulled out Molly's phone before taking a picture of the cover and started taking pictures of each page.
"This'll take a while." said Scratch.
Meanwhile back in the human realm; Rayman and Strange appeared at the same abandoned house Luz first discovered the Demon Realm at.
"Here we are, the very place where Luz ended up ditching summer camp at. The gateway that is." said Rayman.
"Doesn't look like anyone's been here for years." said Strange.
"Exactly, the perfect place to look for clues." said Rayman.
The two entered the house and looked around the place.
"Looking for something that might help us find out what's happening now, right?" said Strange.
"Yes." said Rayman.
He approached a wall and noticed a loose chunk of wood and pushed it in.
But the wood came back out.
Rayman pulled the wood from the wall and looked in the hole before noticing an old journal.
He grabbed the journal and looked at it before blowing the dust off of it.
Strange noticed the journal.
"Is that?" said Strange.
"Don't know yet." said Rayman.
He opened the journal to a page and looked at it.
"Weeks since I started learning how to carve Palisman with the help of-"Rayman said before becoming shocked, "Must be Caleb Wittbane's point of view of the Demon Realm."
He flipped to another page.
"This realm is much different from the Human Realm. The rain is capable of burning everything it touches since Evelyn has to cast a force field spell over her home every time it starts to rain and-" Rayman said before flipping through more pages, "Yep, definitely Caleb Wittbane's journal. But most of the entries are faded away."
He did some thinking.
"There must be some way I can see more of what was in this journal." said Rayman.
He continued thinking before noticing the Eye of Augamotto.
Strange looked at the eye as well and became deadpanned.
"No, absolutely not." said Strange.
"What, why?" said Rayman.
"Because only the Sorcerer Supreme can use the Eye of Augamotto." said Strange.
"I'm not asking to use it, I'm asking you to use it so that I can see what Caleb's life in the Demon Realm was like." said Rayman.
"If I use the Eye of Augamotto on you to see the past, you won't go their physically, but subconsciously. And if the spell I use to do that is interrupted in one way or another, then you could be trapped in the past forever." said Strange.
Rayman did some thinking.
"Yeah I'll take that chance." Said Rayman.
Strange sighed.
"I'm not paying for the funeral." Said Strange.
He used some magic to make the journal float in the air in front of Rayman's eyes as he sat down on a chair.
The Eye of Augamotto opened up and a bean fired from it that hit the journal and Rayman's eyes, causing them to glow as Rayman sat in place with a blank expression.
"I hope you find answers." said Strange.
