Chapter 1: I Love Christmas:

Scrooge's POV:

This is London. And we're celebrating Christmas. Oh, you're probably wondering who I am. Here's a hint, Bah Humbug! Yes, that's me. I was the Stingiest Man in Town! But not anymore! I'm going to tell you how I changed! Look at everyone. So merry. And there's my nephew, Fred.

Carolers: Deck the hall with boughs of holly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa la la, fa la la, la la la
Toll the ancient Christmas Carol
Fa la la la la, la la la la

Fred: I love Christmas
I love Christmas
It's my favorite time of year
So, enthralling to see the snowflakes falling
To hear the children calling
Sweet words of Christmas cheer
It's music to my ears
Fa la la la la, la la la la

Carolers: See the blazing yule before us
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Strike the harp and join the chorus
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Sing we joyous all together
Fa la la, fa la la, la la la
Heedless of the wind and weather
Fa la la la la, la la la la

Fred: Church bells ringing and people singing
Songs of Christmases gone by
Memories that fill the Christmas sky
Love and laughter
Reminding me forever after
Just why I love Christmas
J-jingle bells a-jingling
Festive folks a-mingling
Christmas kids a-tingling with delight
As they picture Santa
And his reindeer canter
On their fabled fantasy of flight
Whoo

Church bells ringing and people singing
Songs of Christmases gone by
Memories that fill the Christmas sky
Love and laughter
Reminding me forever after
Just why I love Christmas

Da-da, da-da, da-da, da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da, da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da, da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da, da-da
Yeah!

"Uncle Ebenezer," says Fred, seeing me, but I did not want to put up with my happy nephew, so I tried to avoid him as best I could!

. . .

I spoke with Tom Jenkins. He owns this toy store, but he owes me money.

"Mr. Scrooge, I swear-"

"I'm shutting this place down," I said.

. . .

I got outside and hopped I wouldn't see my nephew, but Prudence, the dumb dog Marley left me barked for him. She likes him.

"Prudence," says Fred, "come here, Girl!" Fred starts petting Prudence, who licks him in return. The traitor. "Uncle!"

"I'm not in the mood," I said.

. . .

We arrived at the bank where Bob Cratchit was working. "Good evening, Mr. Scrooge."

"Bah," I said.

"Merry Christmas, Bob," says Fred.

"Merry Christmas, Mr. Huffman," says Bob.

"Uncle, I came to ask-" Fred starts saying.

"I am not going to intend your Christmas party," I said, "Christmas is nothing but a waste of time!"

"But Uncle, you get to see my son," says Fred, "you already missed Sitara's pregnancy! We named him Harry!"

"Well, since I missed the pregnancy, that means he already has no idea who I am," I said, "therefor, he might get frightened of a stranger!"

"Well-" Fred starts saying.

"Good, we're in agreement," I said, "now, get out!"

"I still wish you a Merry Christmas," says Fred.

"And I still say Bah Humbug," I said. I then closed the door.

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... Mr. Scrooge," says Bob.

"What," I asked.

"I was wondering if I could take tomorrow off," asks Bob.

"What," I asked.

"Well, it is Christmas tomorrow and-"

"Christmas," I asked, "very well, since it is Christmas tomorrow, you may have the day off, but I expect you to come back first thing the next day and to work even harder!"

"Thank you, Sir," says Bob.

"And you're still not getting a raise," I said. I was barely paying him at all, honestly.

"Scrooge!"

"What," I asked.

"I didn't say anything," says Bob.

I then looked around.
