Jax broke Gangle's comedy mask again, which was why she was sobbing outside the circus tent. She was sitting on the floor, covering her eyes with her ribbon hands while sobbing. She didn't like being the punching bag, but she was just so unlucky.

Gangle had been sobbing quietly to herself for so long, she didn't realize that there was a tall figure approaching her. Usually Gangle would startle Kinger whenever she walked up to him (completely by accident), but this time, Kinger would be the one to startle Gangle. She jumped back.

"Kinger, what are you doing here?" Gangle said.

"Hey Gangle, I heard you crying," Kinger said. "What's wrong?"

"My comedy mask broke again," Gangle said, sniffling. "Now I'm just here by myself."

"But you're not alone Gangle, because I am here," Kinger said. "And I want to keep you company."

Kinger glided over next to Gangle and sat down next to her. Coincidentally, there was a bug on the floor. Kinger reached over and grabbed it, caressing the little thing in his hands.

"Why is everyone so mean to me?" Gangle sobbed. "I haven't even done anything to deserve this!"

"You're stronger than you know," Kinger says. "You still manage to put on a smile, even after everything."

"You're just saying that to be nice," Gangle said, looking away.

"I love being nice, but I genuinely mean it," Kinger said. He holds out his bug so Gangle can see. "Do you know what this is?" She turned to look at the bug.

"It's a caterpillar," Gangle said. "Why are you showing me this?"

"This is you," Kinger says.

"I beg your pardon?" Gangle said, taken aback.

"Not everyone likes the caterpillar," Kinger said. "They say it's ugly, lounges around, and eats all the time."

"Excuse me?!" Gangle said, now offended.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Kinger says. "There's a reason why I'm telling you this. You know what caterpillars do, right?"

"They.. they go into a cocoon and turn into a butterfly?" Gangle said.

"Exactly," Kinger said. He cupped his hands so the caterpillar was trapped in them. "I think caterpillars are magnificent creatures. They are oh so curious about this world. They're also really adorable."

Gangle blushed.

"But I know that one day, this caterpillar will come out of its shell and become something beautiful," Kinger says. He opened his hands, and now the caterpillar had turned into a butterfly. Gangle looked amazed at the sight. The butterfly flies over to her and lands on top of her head.

"You are like a butterfly, Gangle," Kinger said. "Beautiful, carefree, and lively."

Gangle started crying again, but this time for a different reason.

"Oh no, Gangle. You're crying again!" Kinger said. Gangle throws herself onto Kinger and hugs him.

"Thank you Kinger, you're so nice," Gangle sobbed, Kinger patting her head and hugging her back. A swarm of butterflies landed around the two, symbolizing a beautiful sentiment gained between them. Gangle was a butterfly; a beautiful butterfly. Kinger's beautiful butterfly. That butterfly.
