Isabel immediately tackled Esteban to the ground. Elena was obviously suspicious. He was gone for four months and he was suddenly back? That made no sense. Shuriki didn't even think about that. She was excited that her true love was back. After Isabel was done with her hello, Shuriki hugged Esteban. Elena crossed her arms and scowled. She didn't have a good feeling about this. She couldn't let any of them notice, though. She realized what she was doing, and switched to her cheerful smile and perfect posture.
" Esteban, where were you?" Elena questioned.
" Icy broke me out of jail and kidnapped me. She was trying to get me to turn against you guys. When I refused, she beated me up. I was able to escape," Esteban explained.
No one even noticed that Esteban was bloody, bruised, and scarred. They were too excited to see him. Elena's suspictions disappeared. Perhaps she had assumed too soon.
" We're glad to have you back, primo," Isabel remarked.
Esteban smiled sweetly. He gaze met Shuriki's. They blushed and smiled at each other. Isabel yawned and stretched.
" Alright, missy, time for bed," Elena stated.
" Aw," Isabel whined.
" C'mon," Elena commanded.
She held out her hand. Isabel gladly took it. She loved her sister's touch. It always calmed her down. She let Elena walk her to her room. Elena laid her in bed, covered her up, and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
" I love you, Isa," she expressed.
" Love you… too," Isabel mumbled before drifting to sleep.
Elena chuckled a little. She left her sister's room, thinking about how they were all going to be a happy family. Shuriki and Esteban went somewhere private. They wanted to catch up on all the time they had missed.
" I'm glad you're okay, my boy," Shuriki said.
" I'm glad I'm bad with my favorite person," Esteban replied.
They both blushed really bad. Esteban took Shuriki's hand. They held hands for a few minutes. They finally did what they wanted to do for a while now. They leaned in and kissed each other. Elena walked in and saw them. She stared in shock for a moment before leaving. Esteban and Shuriki didn't even notice her.
Elena went back to Isabel's room. The girl was peacefully sleeping. Elena smiled lovingly at her. She sat on the edge of her bed and watched her little sister sleep. Isabel remained unaware of her presence. Elena gently and quietly got into Isa's bed. She covered herself up with the covers. She wrapped her arms around her sister's body. Isabel let her pull her closer to her. She stirred a little, but went back to sleep when Elena crooned to her. It didn't take long for Elena to fall asleep too.
Esteban and Shuriki stayed up later than all of them. They chatted about past events and good times they had. Shuriki still refused to completely make Esteban hers. She still feared what she might do to him. They did, however, sleep together. Not like sex sleep, but like Isabel and Elena sleep.
Elena woke up the next morning. She smiled at Isa, who was asleep, but had made herself comfortable in Elena's arms. Isabel must have sensed Elena was awake because she slowly opened her eyes. She noticed her smiling at her and smiled back. Elena soothed her for a few minutes. She and Isa went to go see if the two lovebirds were awake. They weren't, they were fast asleep. Elena decided to let them sleep, mainly because she wanted Isabel to herself for a little while.
She carried Isabel into the kitchen. Isabel sat down in the smallest chair at the table. Her parents had made her a small chair because she was so tiny. Elena made them both some pancakes. Isabel ended up eating both of theirs. Elena smiled as Isabel playfully challenged her. She growled and nipped at Elena as if she was an animal. Elena chuckled and stroked her sister's hair. Isabel panted as if she was a dog.
The two sister's moment was ruined when Shuriki and Esteban came into the room. Shuriki's hair was standing up everywhere. Esteban looked as if he never went to bed. Isabel laughed.
" And what's so funny, missy?" Shuriki asked jokefully.
" Your hair is sticking up everywhere," Isabel answered.
" Oh, look who's talking," Shuriki jokingly taunted.
Isabel laughed even harder. Her hair was indeed more messier than Shuriki's was. She looked like she slept with the cows. Shuriki lifted her up and spun her around. Elena laughed, but deep down she was upset that Shuriki and Esteban had ruined their moment. It helped to know it wasn't purposeful. They were all family now, so Elena had to share her favorite relative. Shuriki and Esteban joined them at the table. They all had a happy family meal.
