Chapter 5: Happiness:
Scrooge's POV:
Next, we were at the business of my old boss, the kind-hearted Mr. Fezziwig.
"Put it all away," says Fezziwig, "it's time to party!"
"Ooh, I love a party!" The spirit then started dancing with Prudence.
I then saw her... Belle, Fezziwig's daughter!
"Scrooge, this is my daughter, Belle," says Fezziwig.
. . .
I saw the love blossom between us.
Young Scrooge: They say happiness is a thing you can't see
A thing you can't touch
Belle: I disagree
Happiness is standing beside me
I can see him
He can see me
Happiness is whatever you want it to be
Happiness is a high hill
Will I find it?
Yes, I will
Happiness is a tall tree
Can I climb it?
Watch and see
Scrooge: They say happiness is the folly of fools
Pity poor me
One of the fools
Young Scrooge: Happiness is smiling upon me
Walking my way
Sharing my day
Young Scrooge/Belle: Happiness is whatever you want it to be
Belle: Happiness is a bright star
Are we happy?
Young Scrooge: Yes, we are
Belle: Happiness is a clear sky
Young Scrooge/Belle: Give me wings and let me fly
Belle: Let me fly
Young Scrooge/Belle: For happiness is whatever you want it to be
Scrooge: Yes, happiness is whatever you want it to be!
"Oh, look at you two," says Past, then she takes the shape of me, "Oh, Belle, how I longed to stare into your eyes!"
"Can we go now," I asked.
"Not quite," says Past, "there's another stop we have to make!"
