Icy paced around her new lair. Her plan so far was working. Esteban made it into the castle without raising any suspicion. The next part of the plan was to lure Elena and Shuriki out of the castle. When Esteban and Isabel were alone, Esteban would kidnap her and bring her back into the palace. One of the best parts would be watching the royal family's reaction when they realize the truth about Esteban. She also couldn't wait to spill Shuriki's secrets. She's been hiding them for too long. And she couldn't wait to finish her off… once and for all.

Esteban seriously thought she was going to keep her part of the deal. She knew he was plotting against her. She played stupid, though. She had to fool him, so her plan wasn't ruined. Killing Esteban, Shuriki, Luisa, Francisco, and Elena was always part of the plan. And she hated that she had to wait until Esteban's help was no longer needed.

Now that Esteban was back, Shuriki decided it was time to search for another way to get the ingredients that she needed to revive her sister and brother in law. She wanted her sobrina to have her real parents that actually loved her. Actually wanted her to love on and not torture her. She wanted Isabel to be happy.

Isabel layed on her bed. She stared at the ceiling. She still had questions. What was Icy planning? When was she going to attack? Will her real parents be revived? Will she be going on another quest? Why was she needed for this quest, anyway? Did Abuela and Abuelo know about what her parents did to her? Were they a part of it? She would ask, but she didn't want to interrupt her work. She knew Shuriki was determined to revive her parents. They were her family too. Her sister and brother. Isabel didn't want to slow down Shurki. She wanted to meet her real parents as soon as possible. So, she decided to ask her later.

Anyways, Abuela and Abuelo had gone on a vacation not too long ago. Said they were glad she was home, but all the worrying got them tired. They needed a break. Tonight, they were coming home. Isabel wasn't sure if she should trust them or not. She wasn't sure if she was glad or dismayed. Elena didn't know about what their parents did to her. She agreed with Shuriki that it was best if they didn't mention that part.

Elena was happy Abuelo and Abuela were coming home. They would be so happy that Esteban is back and alive. They were happy Isabel was alive and well, but the stress returned when Esteban went missing. They went on a three week vacation just to get away from it. They didn't even spend time with Isa. They just left without even saying goodbye. They left a note and that was it. Esteban was the only reason she was pleased they were coming home. She was pissed off at them for just leaving them. In her eyes it was abandoning them and returning, expecting for nobody to be upset. She was sooooo going to enjoy confronting them!

Esteban was lying on the couch, enjoying an arepa. He knew his familia wouldn't question his lie for why he was gone for so long. They believed him with no hesitation. Well, except for Elena. She was suspicious for a moment, but didn't question his explanation. He couldn't wait for the truth to come out. And Icy agreed to let him tell his part as long as she got to tell the rest. She wanted to see Shuriki fall. He didn't really want to, he just wanted her to see what she did to him. He wanted to hurt her like he hurt him… only, in a different way. It wouldn't be as painful as what he went through, but it was enough to satisfy him.

Maybe Shuriki will want to make amends with him. Maybe they could even start over. It would just be his parents, Isabel, and Shuriki. Maybe they could forget about the past. He knew Shuriki would be disgusted as he was when she found out he wasn't who she thought he was. But, he didn't care. He just wanted to be happy again. He wanted a family again. He wanted Shuriki to love him.

Icy told him she could help him with that. He just had to help her too. He didn't like the fact that Icy wanted Isa to herself. He hadn't figured out the part where Isabel is safe from that monster. He just kind of assumed Icy would be taken down for good. He wanted Icy to die. The only reason why he joined her was because she was the only one who could help him. A loud honking noise interrupted his thoughts.

" Elena, our abuelos are here!" Isabel hollered.

" Coming!" Elena called.

Isabel watched as the carriage pulled up. They had come home way earlier than expected. Not only that, but she was a nervous wreck. She didn't know what to do with them. Were they on her side? Did they help their daughter and son in law abuse her? She couldn't remember! No matter how hard she tried, all she could remember was her parents abusing her, not her Abuelos. So, she had to believe for now that they didn't have any part in it.

Elena came downstairs. Shuriki stayed upstairs. She was determined to find a way to revive Isabel's parents. Luisa and Francisco came into the castle. Isabel shifted uncomfortably, not that anyone noticed. Isabel reluctantly let Abuela and Abuelo hug her. Elena backed away, not hiding her emotions.

" What's wrong, mijita?" Luisa asked.

" Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's because you guys left without saying goodbye, I love you, I'm leaving. All you did was leave a note!" Elena snapped.

" Sorry, Elena, but we didn't want you to stop us," Francisco said.

" That's the lamest excuse I ever heard!" Elena yelled.

" What more can we say except we're sorry?" Lusia asked.

Elena stormed off. Lusia and Francisco looked over at Isabel, who was no longer there. Luisa and Francisco sighed. They weren't expecting anyone to have hard feelings.

Shuriki groaned. She couldn't find anything! How was it possible that only one place had all the ingredients she needed? She sighed and laid her head on the table.

" What's wrong, mi amor?"

Shuriki turned around. Esteban stood a few feet away from her. He looked at her with concerned eyes.

" I can't find a place that has the ingredients I need," Shuriki told him.

" Well, why don't you try looking for another way, then?" Esteban suggested. "It isn't the first time we hit a dead end," he added.

" Great idea," Shuriki remarked.

Esteban smiled proudly. He helped her search for books that would be helpful. They didn't notice Isabel watching them. Shuriki promised Isa that they would find a way. And she didn't like it when someone broke a promise. Isabel stormed out of the library. Esteban and Shuriki looked in that direction. They shared a look before shrugging.

Icy watched Isabel through a magical orb. Isabel was turning in for her afternoon nap. Icy smiled. The girl was so beautiful. So lovable. So innocent. And that girl would be hers… no matter what.
