Chapter 7: I Like Life:

Scrooge's POV:

I arrived in the room and saw a giant. "Scrooge, I'm the Ghost of Christmas Present and it's time you learn to live life!" He then picks me up.

Present: Ebenezer Scrooge
The sins of man are huge
A never ending symphony
Of villainy and infamy
Duplicity, deceit, and subterfuge
And no one's worse than Ebenezer Scrooge
Though man's a handy candidate for Hell
I must admit life sometimes has it's brighter side as well

I like life
Life likes me
Life and I fairly fully agree
Life is fine
Life is good
Especially mine
Which is just as it should be
I like life
Here and now
Life and I made a mutual vow
Till I die
Life and I
We'll both try to be better somehow
Yes, I like living the life
And why not
'Cause life's a pleasure
That I deny not
I like life

Whoo!

Life likes me
I make life a perpetual spree
Eating food
Drinking wine
Thinking who'd like
The privilege to join me
I like life
You should too
Just live life
Spreading cheer while you do
Life is short
Make it count
There's no problem
That can't be surmounted
Live your life unafraid
Just give in
'Cause life's a wonderful thing
For living
Life
Oh yes, I like
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

"Now, shall we," asks the spirit.

. . .

He took me to Fred's house. "Looks like you get to go after all," says Fred.

. . .

We saw Fred's party. "To my Uncle Scrooge," says Fred.

"He said Christmas was a humbug," says Fred's wife, Sitara.

"Wait, she's-" The spirit begins.

"From India," I said. I know where this was going.

"So, the reason why you refuse to see their baby is because-" The spirit goes on.

"Yes," I said.

"Why does your nephew like you so much?"

"I was always told how kind my mother was," says Fred, "I wish to be as kind as her!"

I resented Fred after his mother died, but I should have treated him the way I treated her!

. . .

"Now, where are we," I asked.

"Remember Tom Jenkins from Chapter 1," asks the Spirit.

"What," I asked.

"Never mind," says the Spirit, "look!"

I then saw Tom and his mother... his frail mother. He can barely afford medical treatment for her!

. . .

"Now where are we," I asked.

"Bob's house," says the spirit.
