On a normal day in Church, Raddinson collapses, much to the shock of his congregation, even Hugo himself is shocked by this.
At the Hospital:
Hugo and Olivia rush Reverend Raddinson to the hospital after his sudden collapse during the church service. Concern etches Hugo's face as they navigate the hospital corridors. Hugo, questioning Olivia, says, "This doesn't make sense. He seemed perfectly healthy before. Why would he collapse like that?" Olivia, equally perplexed, responds, "I have no idea, Hugo. Maybe it's stress or exhaustion. He has been working tirelessly for the church." As they wait for the test results, the tension grows. The doctor returns with the report, revealing unexpected findings.
Doctor, with a serious tone, says, "Reverend Raddinson, the results are positive. However, it's not a conventional illness we can identify. We need further examination to understand." Hugo, suspicious, queries, "Positive? For what? Can't you give us a clear answer?" The doctor, hesitating, replies, "It's a peculiar case. We're consulting with specialists. We'll keep you informed." Hugo, exchanging a glance with Olivia, harbors a growing suspicion about the Reverend's sudden ailment.
In Rebeca's Room:
Hugo, feeling a heavy weight on his chest, decides to visit Rebeca's room one last time before leaving. As he enters, memories flood back, and he notices a photo of Rebeca and Reverend Raddinson. Intrigued, he continues to explore. Hugo, whispering to himself, "What secrets do you keep, Rebeca?"
While going through her belongings, he discovers a hidden diary tucked away. Hugo, as he reads, realizes the shocking truth, "No… it can't be." The diary unfolds the clandestine affair between Rebeca and Reverend Raddinson, chronicling the emotional turmoil she endured in secrecy. Hugo, conflicted and confused , mumbles, "I never knew… she kept this hidden from everyone, even me." The revelation leaves Hugo with a mix of emotions, uncovering the depths of Rebeca's struggles and the hidden facets of her life.
In a dream he is having, or vision, he saw through the past five years since he moved out of town.
In the Vision/Dream:
Hugo finds himself in a surreal vision, where Rebeca and Caleb meet in the town after he left to teach Graphic Design. The scene unfolds like a dream, and they engage in a heartwarming conversation. Rebeca, smiling, approaches Caleb on the familiar streets of Lake Arthur. Rebeca: "Caleb, it's been so long. How have you been?" Caleb, with genuine warmth, replies, "Rebeca, my dear, life has its challenges, but seeing you brings a certain light." They share a moment, walking together through the town. "Hugo's doing well, teaching in Toronto. He misses the simplicity of Lake Arthur, though."
Caleb, nodding, remarks, "He was always drawn to the vastness of the world. I hope he finds what he's looking for." Rebeca, with a soft smile, says, "And how about you? How's the church, and how are you holding up?" Caleb, with a touch of vulnerability, admits, "It's demanding, but your brother's absence left a void. The congregation helps, but I find solace in knowing he's exploring his passions." Rebeca, looking fondly at Caleb, says, "You've always been there for us. I appreciate your support, Caleb."
As the dreamlike vision unfolds, the warmth of the conversation creates a bittersweet moment for Hugo, witnessing the connection between his sister and the reverend.
