In Hugo's Living Room:
Hugo, feeling a growing unease, turns to his best friend Zayan, seeking answers about the church. "Zayan, I need you to look into the church, especially Reverend Raddinson. Something doesn't add up." Zayan, hesitating, replies, "Hugo, you know how deeply rooted our community is in faith. I can't risk further alienation." Hugo, persistent, presses on, "Please, Zayan. I need to know the truth about Rebeca and what's going on in that church."
Zayan, taking a deep breath, decides to share more of his own journey, "After you left for Toronto, I pursued law in New York. It was challenging, adapting to a new environment, facing stereotypes, and battling post-9/11 prejudices against Muslims." He continues, "I met Eden in the mosque, fell in love, and started a family. But tragedy struck when she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer Stage IV."
Hugo, empathetic, listens intently as Zayan recounts the emotional turmoil of witnessing Eden's health decline. "Despite my efforts to correct the wrongs of Islamophobia in the legal field, prejudices proved formidable. Eden's passing led me back here, seeking stability for Amaya." As Zayan shares his personal struggles, Olivia, who has been eavesdropping, decides to join the conversation. "I heard everything. Even if Rebeca was involved with Raddinson, she deserves justice. Let's find the truth together."
The trio delves into the church's history, rituals, and hidden chambers, uncovering symbols and artifacts that hint at a deeper, darker reality. As they explore, the group stumbles upon Rebeca's personal belongings, diaries, or letters hidden within the church. These artifacts provide glimpses into her emotions, struggles, and the forbidden relationship with Caleb, casting a shadow over the seemingly sacred place. Therefore he then has a vision of what happened to Rebeca.
In Hugo's Vision:
The vision unfolds as Hugo witnesses a pivotal moment in Rebeca's tragic fate. He sees Rebeca and Caleb at a secluded spot near Lake Arthur, surrounded by the natural beauty of their hometown.
"Rebeca, there's something I need to show you. Something beyond our understanding." Caleb leads her to his chamber, where he reveals the existence of the Entity and its sinister plans for Easter's eve. "This entity, it proclaimed that it will bring about the Second Coming of Christ. A new paradise for all of us." Rebeca, horrified, pleads with Caleb to find a way to stop the impending catastrophe.
"Caleb, we can't let this happen. There must be a way to prevent this, we don't even know what that creature is capable of." Caleb, influenced by the Entity, dismisses her plea. "There's nothing we can do. It's inevitable, this entity was sent by God as a messenger of light, as He is preparing us for the coming events to us."
As Rebeca, torn and desperate, decides to abandon Caleb, the weight of her choice hangs heavy in the air. "Caleb, I can't… I can't be a part of this. I won't let innocent lives be sacrificed for some twisted paradise this monster is offering you. I have to go to town and warn everyone." Caleb, shattered by her decision, pleads with her. "Rebeca, please! We can find another way. We can figure this out together." But Rebeca, her eyes filled with anguish, steps away, leaving Caleb alone. "I'm sorry, Caleb. I hope you can forgive me."
Unbeknownst to Rebeca, the Entity subtly influences her actions, guiding her towards a path that aligns with its cosmic plan. As she drives, the Entity manipulates reality, causing a surreal and tragic car accident. The atmosphere becomes charged with eldritch energy, foreshadowing the dark forces at play.
After Rebeca's tragic death, the Entity manipulates Caleb, exploiting his grief and guilt to further its cosmic agenda. "Caleb, your pain is a testament to your love. Her sacrifice serves a higher purpose beyond your comprehension. Embrace your role in this divine plan, and you will be reunited in a paradise where your love will endure for eternity."
Caleb, tormented by grief, questions the Entity's cryptic words. "Rebeca… did she have to die for this? What higher purpose is worth such a cost?" The Entity persuasively replied. "Her sacrifice is a necessary step toward a new existence. Help me, and you shall be reunited with her in a realm where suffering is but a distant memory." Caleb, vulnerable and grief-stricken, reluctantly accepts the Entity's deceptive narrative. "If helping you means finding her again… then I'll do whatever it takes."
