Note: I only own the OCs in this story. Everything mentioned in it belong to their respective owners. And sorry it's taken me this long to post this chapter, but with my job at Walmart and me trying to get a driver's license, things have been rather hectic lately. But, with this chapter done, I'll be taking a break before I do anything else. So until then enjoy. And no flames.

A screen opens up to reveal the icon of NCN, Narim Central News, as a musical note was heard in the background. The screen shows the infamous kaiju Rexzilla seemingly glaring at the viewers.

"Rexzilla. Who is he? What is he? Is he a friend or is he a foe?" We see a news anchor woman appearing as the background shows Rexzilla rampaging in the city and fighting the mutant vulture. "These are questions on everyone's mind since the creature's first appearance and the destruction of the northern district of Narim. As well as the sudden appearance of another monster."

The video then shows Rexzilla fighting various other creatures that seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Shortly after the vulture that many people are calling, Vultorra, several other creatures have arrived and started attacking everything around them. Military personnel have thrown everything they had but were ineffective."

Sitting right beside the woman was Jarod Garner in his military uniform.

"Joining us today is general Jarod Garner, who had a close encounter with Rexzilla during Vultorra's attack." The newswoman said while turning to the man in question. "General Garner, what can you tell us about Rexzilla after seeing it in person?"

"All I can tell is that creature's a menace. He destroyed nearly half of the northern district of Narim and killed so many lives, both civilian and military. An actual monster like that is too dangerous to just be ignored." The general said with a serious expression.

"But general, the creature did save the lives of the citizens when Vultorra showed up. As well as those other kaiju that arrived."

"None of this wouldn't even be possible if that oversized lizard hadn't shown up! Some people call that thing a hero, but it's still a monster in my book. And monsters like that must be put down."

Both of them turn to the screen behind them as Rexilla was seen standing over a dead body of a mutated frog, roaring in the air.

"As long as that monster lives. The army will kill this beast. No matter what."

The screen turned static before it was turned off.

We see the fabled city of Narim in a state of chaos as plumes of smoke and fire littered the city and helicopters and jets were flying.

[There is power to overwhelm and destroy the world's most shocking monsters!]

We see the army firing their weapons against a kaiju along with others behind it, as they were tearing the city apart. We see Riddick glaring at the rampaging kaiju before we zoom in on his face with his eyes shifting to slits and the title card appearing below him.

[Kokoro ga shinu yo Jibun no tamerai ga Hikigane ni naru yo]

We see Riddick walking by himself in the city with his friends talking among themselves, when we see his reflection replaced by his kaiju self, Rexzilla as they both gazed at each other.

[Tasukete kimi e to Shinjite kimi kara Moreta koe ni yureru]

We then see Leona, Misato, Rachel and their friends in various angles with monstrous shadowed figures behind them, and a lone figure with two otters on their shoulders, were overlooking the ocean.

The camera then shows general Garner standing with his soldiers gazing at the viewers, while we see Alan Maroni in his office with a vial of kaiju ooze, with a sinister smile on his lips.

We now see a group of people fleeing from the kaiju that were attacking their home, while Riddick calmly walks towards them before being bathed in reddish/purple black flames and was then replaced with Rexzilla who roars into the heavens.

[Nakitakunai, kore ijou aitakunai Moeru itoshisa ga kousashita Ai ni kite nakitakute oikakete Dare ni mo tomerarenai]

Rexzilla was seen fighting kaiju after kaiju, while the military joined in the fray and fired their weapons. All the while Leona and the others watched on as their friend fought with all his might, and Maroni was seen throwing his arms wide open with a large tank of kaiju ooze behind him.

[Kore wa mirai soretomo yume? Kotae wa doko darou? Kore ga ima wo tamesu tobira kowasu no akeru no? Doushi you?]

We see an army of kaiju, aliens, mutants and robots surrounding Rexzilla who was joined with shadowed forms of unknown kaiju, while looming over them was a large shadow of a five-headed dragon-like kaiju as lightning flashed everywhere. Rexzilla's eyes glowed as did his spines before roaring defiantly and fires his atomic breath, as the scene switches over to Riddick, his friends and his kaiju self on top of the title card until everything fades into darkness.

It was all quiet within the forests outside of Narim, as the night sky slowly turned to dawn with the sun rising on the horizon. A deer was seen eating grass by a large tree when its hearing picked up the sounds of branches snapping. The deer looks at the direction of the sound as a branch or two falls from the trees.

Then a large tree branch fell beside the deer and startled it, making it run off as we turn our attention up at the trees. Leaping from tree to tree was none other than Riddick himself, wearing only shorts and no shirt on.

The young kaiju shifter was jumping from tree to tree with speed, grace and agility that would make monkeys green with envy. Ever since he gained the ability to become a kaiju thanks to that strange ooze, kaiju ooze, as he calls it. He's been testing himself in his human form to see how much it had affected him.

Not only did the ooze enhanced his sight, smell and hearing, but his strength, speed and agility as well.

He was racing up a tree while dodging the branches in his way and jumped to incredible heights. He was soaring up in the air till he passed through some clouds and felt himself falling. Rather than panicking he spreads his arms and legs out as he was falling towards the forest. He then lands on top of a tree with perfect ease. He lets out a sigh as the cool morning air washed over him and he gazes at the rising sun.

It had been 2 to 3 weeks since his first transformation as Rexzilla, and his battle with his first kaiju enemy. In the weeks that followed several other mutated kaiju appeared as well. Most likely from the kaiju ooze that turned them into monsters. He recalled the words Prof. Clarke mentioned to him regarding the ooze.

(flashback)

Inside his classroom which was empty, Simon Clarke was seen with Riddick talking about what happened at the beach.

"What? You saw a group of men cleaning up the ooze?" Riddick questions.

"Yes. The moment I arrived I saw a large number of people both on land and in the water wearing hazmat suits." Prof. Clarke explained recalling what he saw. "Not only that but there were some armed guards as well. Keeping an eye out for anyone who might snoop around."

He looks over to a small vial which contains the ooze that's on his desk. "Fortunately, I was able to grab a small sample of the mutagen you told me about and quickly left before I was spotted." Simon said while turning back to his student. "Whoever those men were I can certainly tell you they weren't part of the military. They wore uniforms that I had never seen before."

Riddick crossed his arms in thought. If there was a team of soldiers and men in hazmat suits that weren't part of the military, it could only mean one thing. "Someone's trying to cover it up. Someone who doesn't want others to know about the kaiju ooze."

This gave the professor a sense of dread from what his student deduced. "If what you say is true then we may have stumbled upon a conspiracy. A dangerous one at that. We better keep a low profile until we figure out who created this."

Riddick only nods.

The room was silent for a minute before Simon spoke again. "In the meantime, I'm gonna continue to study this mutagen and see exactly how it mutated you and those creatures."

"You do that professor." Riddick said before heading for the door.

"One more thing." Simon calls out.

Riddick stops and partially looks over his shoulder.

"Do you plan on telling your friends your…condition?"

Riddick knew what his teacher meant. For almost a week straight he's been keeping his other self a secret from his friends, fearing that they might not even want to be around him anymore, or get caught in his battles.

"I'll tell them when it comes to that." He said before leaving through the door.

Riddick knew that his friends will find out eventually. Suppose he'll have to tell them sooner rather than later. He then jumps off the tree and runs through the forest to his house.

Inside his home Riddick was preparing food for San and the others. Who were waiting patiently for their master to serve them their young shifter then presented them their food which made them happy and started digging in.

"Now then. Time for me to get going." He said and grabs his bag and heads for the door for school.

(Crystal Star Valley)

Riddick was seen at the school yard as the class was given a half hour break. His hearing could pick up the various talks from the students. All of which were about Rexzilla. Some saw him as a hero, a protector while others were mixed about him, mostly the negative sort. Still feeling bitter over what he did during his first arrival.

Regardless of how they think of him, it mattered not. He would still protect the people of Narim as atonement for his first rampage. With him are his friends who were merely doing their own thing, while Leona and Misato were leaning on him while resting their shoulders.

Everything seemed peaceful for them. That is until…

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!"

A sudden shout was heard as they turned to see someone screaming. Someone, mainly Alex recognized and was completely livid by what he saw.

Standing by a snack machine was a young girl who was roughly 16 years old with light brown hair and golden highlights that went past her shoulders, and brownish-gold eyes. Her shirt was a hot pink color with a Hello Kitty face stamped on the bottom of her shirt, short blue jeans that stopped at her knees and tennis shoes. This is Cassandra Greene, another friend of theirs as well as Alex's girlfriend.

There were two older boys next to her. One of them was a foot or two taller than the other one. The short boy has tanned skin and wore a black leather jacket, jeans with a few tears and biker boots. He had a few studs on his jacket as well as a greenish-yellow mohawk on his head with teal-colored eyes. This boy's name was Matthew Olson, but everyone calls him Lunk.

While the taller boy was of Caucasian descent, he was more built than Lunk as he wore a torn sleeveless vest showing his slightly muscular arms, a black buzz cut hair style, green eyes, a dark blue shirt underneath his vest, studded wristbands, a pair of jeans and similar boots like his friend. This was Howard Jackson, but everyone calls him Punk.

Both Lunk and Punk were known to be nothing but annoying pests to their fellow classmates, often causing trouble here and there. There was no real harm. But they do tend to get on everyone's nerves.

"Aw jeez. Lunk and Punk are at it again." James sighs.

"And it looks like they picked the wrong girl to flirt with." Emily pointed out as they saw a fuming Alex standing up and marching straight for them.

Riddick shook his head knowing that those two just signed their death warrants.

"I thought I told you two to leave me alone." Cassandra told the two who were pestering her.

"Aw, c'mon, cutie. We just want to have some fun with ya. Don't we Punk?" Lunk said to his friend.

Punk chuckles as he nods. "Yeah toots. Why don't you hang out with some real men?"

Cassandra only huffs and turns her head in disgust. Just before they could try anything they felt a pair of hands on their heads as an irate Alex loomed over them.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU CHUMPS DOING?! SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!" He yells at them while easily lifting both over his head and throwing them across the yard.

Lunk and Punk cried out as they flew across the yard and landed headfirst into some trash cans.

Alex snorts through his nose while dusting his hands. "And don't you forget it!" He said and crossed his arms with his eyes closed. Then he felt a pair of arms on his and saw his girlfriend leaning against him.

"Always the protective boyfriend, eh Alexander?" She smiles while batting her eyelashes at him.

This made Alex chuckle bashfully while rubbing the back of his head. He was always a lovesick puppy around Cassandra but gets really fired up whenever someone bothers her and always chases them off. "Aw, shucks Sandra~"

This made Riddick and the others chuckle at their little display of affection while the other students just laughed at Lunk and Punk's predicament.

Deep beneath the building of the most famous pharmaceutical company, we see Alan Maroni walking towards Mortum who was working on their latest work. "I take it things are going smoothly, Mortum?"

"Y-Yes sir. We have already begun recreating the mutagen that was created during the first failure of our previous project."

Maroni recalled that day. He had to quell the people of Narim from trying to figure out what caused that explosion from his company, as well as cleaning up the mess the experiment had left. One that created things of…gigantic proportions.

"To think that our failed project resulted in creating something more incredible." Maroni breathed out while gazing at the glowing purple fluids. "And the results created the world's very own real life giant monsters."

"We still have yet to discover the mutagen's potential and what other side effects it may have."

Suddenly a monitor came to life to show a man's face on the screen. "Sir, there's a situation."

"What is it?"

The screen shows a beach and a large unknown lifeform in the water. "We detected a massive organism in the waters of Starfall Beach."

Starfall Beach. So named because of the stories of how stars would fall on that specific beach and was eventually named after the falling stars. It was that very beach where the mutagen was first unleashed and gave rise to Narim's very first kaiju, Rexzilla and others that followed soon after his appearance. He had his men gather up as much of the mutagen as they could before anyone else could link it to him. "We believe it's a mutation. How should we handle this, sir?"

"Leave it. I am rather curious to see more of our resident dark kaiju again." Maroni told his underling. "He may prove to be more…useful in handling our mutation problems."

The man on the screen nods and the monitor went silent.

"As long as that oversized lizard destroys those creatures. It'll keep the people off our trail while we continue experimenting on this mutagen." Maroni said while gazing deeply at the glowing ooze with a sinister smile. "Things are going to be very interesting with what we can create with this mutagen." He let out a low chuckle which echoes in the lab.

(Later)

School was now over, and Riddick was seen walking past the gate with his friends behind. "So, babe. Got anything planned for today?" Leona asked while leaning on his left arm.

Misato was glaring at her while clinging onto Riddick's right arm. Despite agreeing to share him they still compete for him.

Before Riddick could answer her his hearing suddenly picked up the sounds of screaming, coming from the other side of the city. And it was coming from Starfall Beach. "I'm afraid we'll have to take a raincheck on that. There's something I need to take care of." Riddick said to a disappointed Leona.

Even Misato was feeling saddened that Riddick had to leave again. Both girls let go of his arms and they saw him taking off with his newfound speed. This has become an occurring thing as of late ever since that day Rexzilla showed up. Whenever a kaiju would appear Riddick would tell them he has something important to do, he would leave them and go off to who knows where. And this was starting to worry them.

"Where do you think he runs off to?" Harvey asks while rubbing his head.

"I'm not sure. But I know he'll tell us when he's ready. We just need to wait till then." James said. Usually, he's the voice of reason whenever Riddick's not around, always making sure their group is still together until Riddick returns.

Both girls can only look at the distance from where Riddick ran off to and hope that he may tell them what's really going on.

(Starfall Beach)

(Insert-David Arnold - 1st Helicopter Chase / Godzilla Swats A Chopper)

The air was filled with the screams of panicking civilians and the sounds of gunfire from the distance as we see Navy battleships firing off their cannons at a massive dorsal fin. Then from the waters was a gigantic, mutated great white shark with 6 greenish-yellow eyes and a darker blue skin tone on its body. The shark itself stretched over 69 to 77 meters long and had a 3rd row of teeth.

The shark roars loudly as it was being pelted by several rockets and explosive rounds before diving into the water.

On one of the ships was general Garner along with the admiral of the ship as they watched the battle going on. The admiral turns to one of his crewmates. "Don't let up. Launch all depth charges and try to drive out further into the sea."

"Aye, sir!"

General Garner watched through the window as several depth charges were launched into the sea and a series of explosions were heard. "We can't let this thing get away from us. We have to kill this thing here and now." He said with an iron determination. Ever since Rexzilla had appeared, more and more monsters followed shortly after he did, and Narim had become a rather hot spot for monster activity. Regardless of what people may say about the dark kaiju, Garner still thinks that Rexzilla is a menace ever since his rampage on that fateful night. "Are there any sightings of you-know-who yet?"

The admiral shook his head. "None that we can see so far. But he won't stay quiet for long."

They were interrupted when they felt their ship rocking from the waves as the shark kaiju rose up in the air and collided with another ship, destroying it and sinking the burning remains.

"Launch the sub-pods!"

"Sub-pods, launching!"

On the ship 3 mini subs were launched into the ocean and were heading for the mutated shark. The shark took notice of the 3 sub-pods and started to swim away from them.

"Follow my lead." Mako 01 told his fellow pilots.

The shark continued swimming to get away from the pursuing sub-pods, but they continued to follow the kaiju.

"All systems, armed."

"Mako 04 farmed."

On their screens they have the shark in their sights until they finally lock onto the fleeing kaiju. "Fire torpedoes!"

The sub-pods each fired a torpedo at the shark while some missed, a few managed to make contact, causing the shark to roar in anger. The shark swam faster to avoid their torpedoes as they continued pursuing the kaiju.

"We're losing the target, sir."

"Stay on it. We can lose it now."

The sub-pods fired more torpedoes at the kaiju, but the creature kept avoiding them, before finally swimming around and heading straight for them. Its mouth wide open, it went and bites down on one of the sub-pods and destroys it.

"We just lost Mako 04!"

"Evasive maneuvers!"

The two sub-pods moved out of the way as the shark tried to attack them but missed. Mako 01 fires some more torpedoes at the shark, the weapons struck the kaiju which only made it angrier and goes on to the attack. The shark opens its mouth letting out a roar in the water as it closes in on the sub-pod, which the pilot cries out and desperately shield himself as the shark's jaws bites the sub-pod and kills the man inside.

"We lost Mako 01 sir!"

"GOD!" Garner shouts in anger.

"Mako 02, where is the target?"

Mako 02 was seen being chased by the shark who kept snapping its jaws at him. "Oh, Jesus! It's right on my tail sir." The pilot exclaims, trying to escape the raging shark that killed his comrades. "I don't think I can shake him!"

The shark was relentless in its pursuit of the sub-pod. Wanting to crush the pitiful human who dared to attack it. The shark was getting dangerously closer as its mouth was wide open and ready to chomp on the poor soul. That is until something crashed into the shark with a thundering punch below its jaws. It was so powerful it actually sent the shark flying upward and breaking the water's surface.

(End background theme)

Everyone aboard the ships saw the shark flying out of the water with awed and shocked expressions as it soon fell back into the water with a splash.

"What the hell just happened?" Garner exclaims.

"Sir, we have a signal on radar. It's huge!"

"It's rising to the surface!"

Garner turns to the admiral as they both thought the same thing. "You don't think it's…" They turn to the window to see the surface churning and bubbling violently.

Rising from the water was none other than Rexzilla himself! The dark kaiju rears his head and roars at the sky as several helicopters hovered in the air.

"Rexzilla." Garner grits his teeth. "He had to show up."

(End background theme)

Rexzilla took notice of the shark's fin and dives right back into the water, swimming straight for the kaiju. The shark sensed him and swam towards him with the intention of feasting on his flesh. Both kaiju were closing in as the shark opens its mouth to bite, but Rexzilla caught its jaws and began to wrestle with the shark, growling underwater as they rolled around beneath the sea.

The dark kaiju started clawing at the shark's skin, drawing blood. This causes the shark to roar in pain and thrashes violently to escape. The shark then pushes Rexzilla downward until they crash on the ocean floor, kicking up a cloud of sand. The shark broke free and bites down onto Rexzilla's side which made him howl in pain as blood flowed from his wounds. Rexzilla snarls and then punches one of the shark's eyes forcing it to let go and swims away. He could feel his wounds healing and the pain vanishing, he then took off after the shark with his spines glowing, a thundering rumble echoing in the water and then fires his atomic breath at the shark.

The shark senses the attack and manages to dodge it. The beam then broke the surface of the ocean, startling everyone and almost hitting the helicopters in the air.

The admiral turns to his captain. "Fire everything, we have at them now!"

"Yes, sir!"

Both Rexzilla and the shark were once again wrestling with each other, when a series of explosions erupted around them. Several torpedoes were bombarding them, and other sub-pods were firing their weapons as well, it was enough to cause both kaiju to split apart. Rexzilla was forced to cover his face as a few torpedoes collided with his body while the shark snarled angrily at the humans and took this as a chance to escape. Rexzilla was about to give chase when he shrieked in surprise from the torpedoes striking him.

He turns and glares at the Navy who kept firing at him. Rather than fight them he started swimming as fast as he could.

"Sir, the shark's escaping and Rexzilla's attempting to flee."

"Forget the shark. Focus on Rexzilla!" Garner barked.

Rexzilla continued swimming as the sub-pods behind him gave chase, firing their torpedoes at him. The ocean was filled with explosions as the dark kaiju was being pelted by them. He couldn't fight back knowing that they still believe him to be a threat, especially after his first transformation. Not that he could fault them. He still has yet to fully forgive himself until he earns their faith.

The dark kaiju then dives deeper and collides with the rocky terrain of the ocean causing a large cloud of sand to fly everywhere. By the time the sub-pods stopped the cloud had dissipated and Rexzilla was nowhere in sight.

"Sir. We lost visual on the target. He's gone."

Garner sighs angrily and slams his palms on the console. "Dammit. He slipped through us again."

"Not just him but so did Chompoid. He's gone too."

The general looks at the admiral with a raised brow. "Chompoid?"

The admiral looked rather sheepish. "One of my men named the shark, general. It was, uh, all they could think of."

Garner blinked twice before sighing again and pinching the bridge of his nose. "This is a friggin 'disaster."

Meanwhile on the shores of the beach a hand was seen reaching out and grabbing a large rock. It was revealed to be a very naked Riddick climbing out of the water, coughing and breathing heavily while his body had bruises and some wounds that were already healing.

He looks over his shoulder to see the Navy's ships and helicopters combing the area. Searching for both the shark and his kaiju self. Sighing softly, he climbs on the rocks, walks over to a large boulder where a towel and his clothes were hidden and begins to dry himself off. He was thinking on how he was gonna explain his 'condition' to his friends. He knew that sooner or later they would find out, and he would rather be the one to tell them.

"Tomorrow's a weekend, so I'll tell them. No more secrets between us." He promised himself as he started dressing himself. With his clothes back on he jumps from one rock to the next and lands on the cliff before taking off to his home.

In another part of the ocean, the shark designated Chompoid, was seen laying on the ocean floor writhing as though it was in pain. It growled loudly as its body suddenly started…to change. Its tail grew longer, its upper body started to expand while its fins grew longer and suddenly morphed into a strong pair of arms with 5 webbed fingered hands, and the upper body becoming more humanoid in appearance. Then below the torso six tendrils burst out and the tips splitting open into a tri-claw.

Chompoid raises its head and roars loudly in the water, scaring away any of the sea life before turning its sights at a large blue whale swimming overhead. That was when the shark launched its tendrils at the whale who wasn't aware of what was coming.

(Next day)

It was now Saturday in Narim as the people were going about their normal routine despite what happened at the beach. Speaking of the beach. We turn our attention to Riddick and his friends who were enjoying themselves in the sand or in the water.

Riddick however was staring out at the ocean. Still pondering how he was gonna tell his friends about his other self. More than that he knows that shark kaiju, Chompoid, the media oh-so-loving called it was still out there in the ocean just waiting to strike.

"Something wrong babe?"

He looks over his shoulder to see Leone wearing a purple bikini top and bottom while wearing a short-sleeved summer coat. "You look like you got something on your mind." She said while looping an arm around his neck.

This didn't go unnoticed by the others who were also looking at Riddick. They know that he has something on his mind and they're simply waiting for him to open up and tell them everything.

"Whatever's troubling you, Riddick-chan, we'll listen no matter what." Misato assures him.

The others all nodded. Showing him that they're there for him.

Riddick only gave a small sigh. 'Guess this is it. No turning back now.'

As he was about to tell them everything, he suddenly went stiff as a board and his pupils immediately turned into slits. His kaiju instincts were telling him that danger was approaching.

Just then the water started to bubble and churn violently, catching everyone's attention as they saw the foaming waters.

"What is that?" Rachel asked with a fearful expression.

Riddick snarls under his breath. His teeth slowly sharpened, and his nails turned into claws.

Rising from the water was none other than Chompoid, the shark kaiju that attacked the beach yesterday, was now sporting a new look. The mutated shark was towering over the humans with his newly gained arms as the tendrils dangled below him.

"...well shit." Riddick curses under his breath.

Chompoid lets out a roar which causes everyone on the beach to scream and flee in terror. The shark begins to walk on his arms toward the beach while Riddick and his friends stood there in a daze.

"It's that shark monster again!" James exclaims.

"Chompoid!" Harvey gasped while gawking at the shark.

Rachel was holding onto Leona as she trembled at the sight of the shark kaiju, only to see Riddick running towards a large boulder. "Riddick. what are you doing?!" Her cries caught everyone's attention when they saw Riddick suddenly grabbing the boulder and lifting it with his 'newly' gained strength.

"GET OUT OF HERE! GO!" He shouts at them while holding the boulder over his head and chucks it at Chompoid which struck one of his three left eyes. Causing one of them to explode in blood.

Chompoid let out a shrieking roar in pain and surprise as he held his bleeding face.

Riddick glares at the shark before turning at his friends with his eyes partially turning inhuman. "All of you need to run, now!"

"But what are you-"

"I SAID GO RIGHT NOW!" He roars at them which made them flinch from the way his voice suddenly sounding more…bestial.

That was when a large tendril came straight for Riddick who barely had time to react, was struck with the force of a speeding truck and sent him flying straight for the ocean!

"RIIIDDIIIICK!"" Leona, Misato and Rachel cried out the loudest as their friends watched in horror.

It only got worse when the shark turns his gaze at them and roars in the air.

"Aw shit, RUN!" James shouted while grabbing Emily and running as fast as they could with the others following behind.

Chompoid stomps on the beach as many of the visitors were either gone or hiding from the kaiju. The sounds of helicopters were heard as they were approaching the beach. They were specialized SWAT helicopters, a police version of an Apache helicopter meant to provide protection and support. The helicopters started firing their vulcans while some fired their missiles.

The air was filled with the sounds of explosions, gunfire and Chompoid's roars as we turn our attention under the sea. We find Riddick slowly sinking from the sudden impact of Chompoid's tendril and crashing into the water. As his body was sinking there were several bolts of red electricity around his body and his eyes snapped open, glowing a bloody red color.

Back on the surface, Chompoid was stomping towards a small fishing town near Starfall Beach, plums of smoke and fire was everywhere as the people were running in a panic. Several police and SWAT units were there on the scene trying to buy enough time for the army to arrive.

They all were shooting their weapons at the shark, but they did nothing but annoy him. Chompoid lashes out with his tendrils striking the police and SWAT vehicles, causing them to explode.

Hiding near a building were Leona, Misato, Rachel, James, Emily, Alex and Harvey who watched the carnage unfold before them. They were all still shocked from witnessing their friend getting mercilessly swatted like a fly. Leona, Misato and Rachel were the most affected. Seeing the man of their affection sent flying from that kaiju's attack had shattered their worlds.

Both Leona and Misato were glaring hatefully at the shark, while Rachel looked like she was having a panic attack.

"Damn. They're getting hammered!" Alex cursed as he watched as Chompoid was wreaking havoc.

"Y-you think the army will be able to handle that thing?" Emily questions.

"I wouldn't count on it. Unless they drop a nuke there's no way they'll kill that thing!" James said while slamming his fist against the wall of the building. "There's gotta be something we can do."

"Uh, dude? How exactly? We're just high school students." Harvey mentions. "How are we gonna do anything at this point?"

"Hey, look!" Leona calls out while pointing in front of her.

They all saw what she was pointing at and saw Chompoid walking up to a fish processing factory. The shark used his tendrils to pry open the roof of the building as his nose was assaulted by the smell of fish. Using two tendrils he scoops up a mouth full of a variety of fish and shoves them in his mouth. After swallowing the fish, Chompoid lunges forth and starts feasting on anything he could get in the factory.

"I think we can use that to our advantage." Leona spoke out.

"How exactly?" Rachel asked, having recovered from her brief meltdown.

"Alex and Harvey will find a truck full of fish, hotwire it and use it to lure that shark to the dock. While we try to lure it away ourselves."

They all stared at her in total disbelief from hearing her plan.

"Are you crazy? There's no way that'll work!" James protested. As much as he trusts Leona, the plan she had was way too dangerous.

"You guys got a better idea than let's hear it." Leona said with her arms crossed.

After a brief moment of silence, they all made their decision. "Eh, why not? I'm game." Alex shrugs.

"Same here. Never thought I'd be part of a kaiju flick anyway." Harvey said with his usual grin.

Both jocks clasped their hands together and then took off to find a truck.

"While those two try and find the bait. We're gonna get that thing's attention." Leona said with a predatory grin. "James. You, Emily and Rachel find a car for us, while Misato and I have a little facetime with Chompy over there."

Before James could protest any further, both girls had already gone ahead, and from the look in their eyes told him exactly what was on their minds. They both want that shark dead for what he did to Riddick, the boy they love, and they aren't gonna let this slide. With no other choice James, Emily and Rachel went to find a car that's still intact.

Chompoid continues eating all the fish he could find in the factory, when suddenly an explosion erupted from his gills. He roars from the sudden attack and pulls his head from the building.

"HEY, OVER HERE ASSHOLE!"

He turned his attention to where the voice was coming from and saw it was both Leona and Misato, who had grenade launchers they picked up from the deceased SWAT members. Both girls stood defiant before the shark with fierce and angry expressions that could kill a hundred men.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST SWAT OUR BOYFRIEND LIKE SOME DAMN FLY AND JUST WALK AWAY?!" Leona shouted angrily at the shark.

"IF YOU THINK WE'RE LETTING YOU GO UNPUNISHED, YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING KUSO YARO-ME!" Misaro exclaimed while aiming her grenade launcher and pulled the trigger.

A grenade was shot from the weapon and struck Chompoid's nose which made the shark roar in surprise and pain. It angrily roars at the girls and stomps his way toward them, while throwing one tendril at them. They both fired their weapons at the tendril to keep it from reaching them, which was enough to blow the tip off. This caused Chompoid to shriek from the loss of the tip of his tendril, and only made him angrier.

"LET'S GO!" Leona shouts at Misato and both girls started running.

Both Leona and Misato were running as fast as they could while an angry shark was on their tail. They soon heard the sound of a car horn and saw James with the others riding in a car they found. "GET IN QUICK!" He shouted while Rachel opens the back door.

They soon got inside the car and James accelerates just in time as a tendril crushed the spot they were on.

"You two are crazy, you know that?!" James exclaims over his shoulder.

"Shut up and drive!"

The car was last seen driving away from the town to another part of the beach, with Chompoid right behind them. They planned on luring the shark away from the town just enough for Alex and Harvey to lure Chompoid someplace else. Beyond that? They had no idea but hoped that some miracle would arrive.

However, just before they could go any further, they saw the shark's gaping mouth approaching!

"EVERYBODY OUT!" Leona orders.

They did just that and in time as the shark's jaws clamped onto the car. Crushing it into pieces. Leona and the clothes cried out as they were rolling down on a hill of grass. Having literally escaped the jaws of death and all that.

"I stand corrected. You two are crazy." James snarks while glaring at Leona who glares back. That was when they noticed a shadow looming over them and saw Chompoid who roared at them which caused Emily and Rachel to scream while James, Leona and Misato only stared in a frozen state.

Then the sound of a truck horn was heard, and they all turned their attention to see a truck with two trailers full of fish driving by. Both Alex and Harvey were seen riding the truck with Alex behind the wheel. "Hey, Bruce, reject! You still hungry? Come and get it!" Alex called out as he and Harvey laughed together.

Chompoid gave a small roar and chased after the truck.

"What comes after this part of the plan?" James inquiries.

"I'm making this up as I go." Leona tells him and then runs toward the location of where the shark went, with the others behind.

Up ahead was the truck driving to the shore with Chompoid still behind them. By the time they were near the ocean they reached a parking spot for cars. Both jocks looked out the window and quickly got out of the truck as Chompoid's jaws latched onto the trailers, threw his head back and swallowed the whole truck of fish. They stood frozen like statues when the shark turned his attention to them and roars at them.

Suddenly, the sound of the water churning and bubbling caught their attention and bursting out of the water, was Rexzilla himself!

Rexzilla stood before the shark letting out a loud roar, letting him know that he was ready to finish where they left off. Chompoid responds with his own roar and both kaiju march toward each other.

The moment they got close to one another, Chompoid lunges at Rexzilla with his arms and tendrils. The dark kaiju grabbed onto the shark's hands while the tendril wrapped themselves around him, he swings his claws at the shark slicing into his skin as they both briefly turn in the water, the shark opens his jaws to bite Rexzilla, but the dark kaiju grabbed him by the nose and shoves him in the water. Chompoid rose back on his hands while he and Rexzilla circled each other.

Rexzilla goes in with a punch, but the shark quickly moves and uses his tendrils to pull Rexzilla by the legs causing him to fall in the water, and the shark jumping in as well.

Both Alex and Harvey watched in awe while the others arrived. "About time you guys showed up." Alex exclaims.

"Where's Chompoid?" Leona questions.

Her question was answered when they saw both Rexzilla and Chompoid rising from the ocean, Rexzilla was caught by the shark's tendrils and was dragged into the water when Chompoid spun to his right. Rexzilla's hand shot forth, grabbed the shark's snout and drags him in. This caused a huge splash of water to soak Leona and the others who shielded themselves from the water. They watched on as Rexzilla was slamming his fist on Chompoid's head, digging his claws into his side and biting the shark on the neck.

This caused Chompoid to shriek out in anger as he finally broke free from Rexzilla's grasp, and suddenly threw up a greenish-yellow sludge at Rexzilla's face. The dark kaiju howls in surprise and disgust as he shields his face from the shark's vomit.

Chompoid then delivers a right hook to Rexzilla's head, sending him crashing into the water.

The sight of the shark throwing up sludge at Rexzilla caused Leona and her friends to cringe or cry out in disgust.

"Dude! Nasty!" Harvey gagged.

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Emily moans through her hands to keep from vomiting herself.

As Chompoid was walking away from his opponent the sound of a helicopter caught their attention and when it landed, they saw Rachel's father, General Garner stepping out when he saw his daughter and her friends and runs up to her.

"Dad?!"

"Rachel!?"

Their little reunion was broken when they saw Chompoid stomping towards them. They all quickly got out of the way when the shark's hand nearly crushed them and moved onward to the town.

"Looks like those new reports were right, that thing did change. For that matter, Rachel, what're you and your friends doing here?" Garner questions his daughter. "It's too dangerous here. You kids need to go, now!"

"But dad-"

They turned their attention back at Chompoid who was nearing the town and some of the locals who were still there all started running for their lives. That was when a large boulder was seen flying at Chompoid and crashed on his back. The shark yelps in surprise and turns around to see it was Rexzilla standing on top of a tall ridge, holding two boulders. He roars at the shark and throws the two boulders at him.

The two boulders struck Chompoid which made him roar furiously and went up the ridge, intending to finish Rexzilla off for good.

Rexzilla briefly looks behind him before turning back at Chompoid with a small smirk. He turns around and starts digging at the edge of the ridge till he was completely underground by the time Chompoid stops and looks curiously at the flying dirt.

"What's he doing now?" Garner asked.

"It looks like he's tunneling under that ridge. It's unstable." Misato noted.

"And look what's underneath it." Alex pointed out.

Just below the ridge were a series of sharp rocks of various sizes with the largest stretching higher than the rest. As Chompoid was blindly looking for his opponent, Rexzilla pops up from behind him, which the shark turns only to feel the ground collapsing underneath him. In a desperate effort, Chompoid lashes out with four tendrils around Rexzilla's arms, pulling the dark kaiju to keep himself from falling.

That was when the two spines on his shoulders glowed purple, so did his eyes and Rexzilla fires his Dark Haze vision, cutting the tendrils and watches Chompoid falling helplessly while roaring in futility until he was impaled by the sharp rocks below. The shark let out a wailing roar in pain as blood was squirting out from his wounds and flailing around. Chompoid let out one last roar before he eventually fell silent as more rocks fell from the ridge and buried him.

Rexzilla let out a small roar in victory only to shriek as the ground gave way beneath him and he too fell from the ridge. He quickly braces himself as he crashes on the ground and finds himself buried under the rocks.

Leona and the others watched in shock and worry, while the general didn't show such concerns.

"Heh. Two monsters for the price of one." Garner said with a smirk.

This caused Leona and the others to look at him in disbelief. Sure, they know he views Rexzilla as a threat when he first showed up, but he has been trying to protect the people from the other kaiju that's been popping up everywhere. But to see him with that look in his eyes didn't mean they liked it.

"That monster just sacrificed himself for us, general!" Leona snaps at her friend's dad.

Before an argument could happen, they hear the rocks crumbling and to the gang's relief and the general's chagrin, Rexzilla burst out from the rocks roaring to the sky. Then a squad of six attack helicopters arrived and swarmed the dark kaiju who only stared at them.

"Requesting permission to fire on Rexzilla." One of the pilots spoke.

"On my signal." Garner said through his mobile radio.

Leona then goes to stop him while James and Alex try to pull her back. "No, you can't!" She exclaims while pulling on the man's arm, only to be shoved back.

"I told you kids to get out of here!" He barks at them. "Be ready to fire." Then to his shock he finds Rachel standing before him with her arms spread out. "Rachel, what are you doing? Get out of here!"

"Daddy, please listen, you have to stop this." Rachel pleaded to her father. "He's not trying to hurt us or anyone else, he's not your enemy."

"Tell that to the people who lost their friends and loved ones when he first showed up, or did you forget that already?" Garner exclaimed.

"I know what he did was wrong but he's trying to make up for it!" Rachel argued. "Like humans, animals can change too, and he's changed since that day. He's not the monster everyone's believed him to be." She walks up to him and places her hands on his. "Just please. Give him a chance. I know you think it's your job to protect people, but even you need protecting as well. So, please daddy. Please?"

Garner could see the sheer desperate look in his daughter's eyes. Despite the people of Narim having mixed feelings about the dark kaiju, his daughter was the only one who sees him in a different light. Rachel always had a thing for animals as she was the most gentlest soul he ever knew, much like her mother, his late wife who always tried to get him to see the good in all living things regardless of their actions.

After what felt like forever the general spoke into his radio. "Return to base."

"Sir?"

Repeat; return to base. Is that clear?" Garner orders.

"Yes, sir."

"Roger that."

The helicopters took off back to HQ, leaving Rexzilla alone who inwardly sighs in relief.

Garner puts his radio away while Rachel gave him a grateful smile. "Thank you, daddy."

"Don't make me regret this Rach." Garner told her while he and the kids watched Rexzilla walking towards the ocean, briefly looking in their direction and then dives into the water.

While the gang was relieved to see Chompoid finally dead and the general letting Rexzilla go, they were far from safe when the general gave them a very stern expression.

"Now look, just because I decided to look the other way, don't think for ONE second that you and your friends are off the hook just yet, young lady." Garner said with his arms crossed and an angry look on his face.

This caused everyone to freeze like statues as they knew they were in deep trouble. Rachel especially.

"Oh man…" Harvey groans with sweat dripping from his face.

After an hour's worth of scolding from general Garner, and the sun had just set, Leona and her friends were seen walking up to Riddick's house with solemn expressions after being chewed out by Rachel's dad as well as the threat of him telling their families about what happened.

"Rachel, no offense, but your dad's scary." Harvey said with his shoulders slumped.

"No offense taken. Still, I'm more worried about Riddick than being grounded for life." She mentions.

Shortly after the scolding from her dad, Rachel and her friends tried to look for Riddick, but they never found him, much to their worry and distress.

"We looked everywhere for him but found nothing." James said while Emily placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Do you think he might've survived at all? I mean, he took a pretty big hit from Chompy earlier." Alex stated.

Before Leona and Misato could berate him they heard the sound of splashing water from the lake behind the house. They quickly run behind the house while they brought out flashlights, they shined the lights at the lake when they saw it was Riddick himself climbing out of the lake.

"Babe! You're all-" Leona suddenly gasped along with the others when they saw something that made them freeze in shock.

When their lights revealed Riddick climbing out of the lake, they noticed patches of dark scales on his body, rows of spines on his back and his hands were reptilian with claws. When he heard them, he turned his head towards them to show the left side of his face covered with scales and his sharp teeth while the right side was pure human.

They all stare at him in total shock as he also gazes at them in shock and worry. 'Shit! This wasn't how I planned to tell them.'

"...R-Riddick? Wha…what in the…" Leona stutters as she watches her boyfriend climb out of the lake and stand before them.

"...it's a long story. We'll talk inside my house. Now." He said before walking towards his home with his friends following behind him.

Happens next? Is anyone's guess. Only time will tell as the adventure continues.
