Survivor - Heroes vs Villains

Chapter 9 - Day 8 & Day 9 Part 1

Okay, so here we are with chapter nine.

So like I said in the last chapter, this one is gonna cover day 8 and part of day 9 ending with the immunity challenge. No hidden idols to be found this time, so we'll see who ends up going to tribal after the challenge is over...

Villains

Day 8

Bowser, Sheik, Wolf, Ridley, Shadow, Ryu, Specter Knight, Plague Knight, Foxy, Springtrap

-/-

The edit decided to continue on with the Villains for the time being.

Red team pretty much had a successful day first week, and it ended off with them having the luxury of eating fish due to the fishing gear they received. Not bad for a group of bad guys.

So now they were heading into week two. Things were going rather smoothly, yet judging by the sky, rain was actually likely to occur rather soon. The main goal of the day was to at least get done with most of the 'camp maintenance' before it was supposed to hit. Yet the main problem being that there were going to be complainers due to the team being unable to keep the fire going during the storm. No fire, no food.

Even the rice was preferred than not having any food at all.

"Hopefully it's not too bad." Sheik did not want to be too pessimistic. "We've all survived one rain storm before."

"We need to get on point with the firewood situation as soon as the rain storm is finished. All of the wood is going to be wet."

No kidding, Ridley...

"Where's half the tribe?" asked Shadow, noticing that the only people gathered at the shelter were himself, Ridley, Sheik, Plague Knight, and Springtrap.

"Wolf just left with Foxy this way," Springtrap's finger pointed in one direction before pointing in another. "Bowser and Specter went off that way. Ryu left to go to the bathroom."

And of course the real bathroom in Survivor was non-existent. They were out in the wild for a reason.

"Hmm..." Shadow took a glance up in the sky. "It might start raining just a few minutes... Something tells me that people are a little more comfortable all of a sudden wandering off with each other."

"Well, we are preparing for a storm here..."

"I get that much, but at the same time I feel like people are taking advantage of the situation by getting some last minute strategy talk in because they know we're getting ready to have inclement weather."

"Well I need to go to the bathroom, too." Plague Knight decided to head out. Not really helping Shadow's concern with people leaving the shelter, but if Plague needed to go, he needed to go. "I don't think I can wait for who knows how long before the storm is finished."

Sonic's rival folded his arms shaking his head. "And then there were four..."

"If they get rained on, I'm going to have no sympathy for them." said Ridley.

"Maybe they should. That will interrupt whatever strategy talk they got going on." Shadow shook his head and went over to sit down in the shelter. "All this strategizing, we might as well throw a challenge..."

"Please don't..." Springtrap shook his head. "The more tribals we go to, the bigger chance I could have a target on my back. The Heroes are already down to eight members."

Sheik continued to stare in the Mobian's direction. "You doing alright, Shadow...?"

He waved it off as if it was nothing. "I'm fine. It's nothing..."

Something was clearly on his mind.

"I don't understand how basically the entire tribe is having a bunch of strategic conversations with each other, when I'm lucky to even have one open dialogue with anyone in a day." The amount of frustration was clear as day on his face in his confessional, which he received none in the previous episode by the way. "I'm obviously a target here, and I've been trying to approach others to see where their minds are, but I don't think I'm really getting anywhere..."

"You sound rather irritated..." Sheik blinked.

"I'm fine..." He told her with a more stern tone, now lying down on his back. "It's no big deal."

In his own language, he was trying to tell the woman to leave him alone and shut up.

Shaking her head and sighing, she turned to Ridley and Springtrap. "Mind if I take him away a little bit? I promise we're not gonna do anything..."

"Go on ahead..." Springtrap did not care while Ridley said nothing. "Maybe the two of us can play the 'rain go away' game again like that super cringe scene from your season..."

The dragon immediately glared. "I am not one for child's play out here..."

Sheik turned behind her without acknowledging his remark. "Shadow, do you wanna talk by the water?"

"..."

So now the two of them were by the water, Shadow now being a hypocrite by leaving the shelter himself.

"I'm starting to get pissed." He turned his head side to side in disgust. "Hardly anyone has talked any strategy all day, and people have barely done any strategizing with me yesterday. If people are planning on voting me out at this point as soon as we lose immunity, might as well tell me at this point."

"You think you're in trouble..."

"Why shouldn't I?" He continued to glare. "I know the kind of game that I played on our season, but I'm not the only big target on this tribe. Foxy managed to gather up an entire alliance in attempt to blindside one of your allies from last season, Bowser's here, Ridley's here, and we all know about Plague and Specter. You blackmailed Marth into working with you on our season. I'm not the only problem on this beach, but people are sure as hell acting like it..."

"Has Foxy talked to you lately?"

"He has." Shadow admitted. "But he's strategizing more with other people these days. Maybe he assumes he doesn't need me as a number in the future, so I feel like people are ready to put my name down and send me out of here already."

"Shadow and I never really had any sort of relationship in Emperors vs Knights. In the game I only knew him for nine days, so I never really had a chance to really get to know him a little more, even though he is a tough cookie to crack. But like Foxy, him and I share the same season, so we know him better than the rest of the tribe does. ...Obviously he's getting paranoid that people are throwing his name out. But in general, gameplay wise he feels that he hasn't found his footing yet, even though we're on day eight. Honestly,... I kind of feel bad for him. Sure, one could say this is what he gets for being so aggressive in Emperors vs Knights, but... I don't think he's a bad guy. ...I really don't. He already knows he still has some internal conflict going on."

"All it takes is a 9-1 on me, and that's it. If Sonic's already gone, I'm probably gonna be sent home right after him."

"In my personal opinion, people are thinking about you, but I doubt they are planning on actually getting rid of you just yet..." And she was kind of spot on with that. "Between you and me at least, it's Plague... or even Specter. That's probably the one thing that's gonna save your life if we're going to tribal tomorrow night. They're two votes together."

"Hmph..." Perhaps that was going to give him some hope. "I hope you're right, Sheik... I hope you're right. I didn't come all the way out here to be voted off first."

"I do not see that." She shook her head. "Unless something changes, I don't see it. Maybe you should make it a priority to talk with Foxy again whenever you have the chance. If he feels the same way about Plague and Specter, you're not going anywhere."

"I am not well known when it comes to the social game, but I don't feel like I have any allies right now, and I'm one of the biggest targets coming into thos. So I might need to put some work in to convince people to get on my side. I can not afford to go home. Not this early..." He sounded determined, feeling a little better after his conversation with Sheik. The hedgehog promptly got off his feet and stormed off.

Heroes

Day 8

Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda, Meta Knight, Sonic, Vector, Shovel Knight, Golden

-/-

By the time the scene switched over to the Heroes tribe, it was already raining cats and dogs. It was actually the first time a rain scene was really shown so far this season.

Currently, everybody was all huddled up in the shelter trying to keep dry and warm from the rain. Luckily with two of the members leaving, there was a little more room for everybody to fit in.

Nothing but the sound of rain was heard all the while.

"Do y'all think this is going to be a rainy season?" And Vector just had to interrupt the sounds of nature. "It wasn't too bad when I first started, so I'm really wondering what the weather will be like this time."

"Let's hope it's never to the point where we... would actually need to evacuate or something."

Zelda was right. People did have to evacuate due to mother nature before in the real show...

"I hope it's not going to rain too much." Yoshi added. "I'm gonna get too cold. And I hate being cold..."

Yeah. It sucked being cold-blooded.

And the Heroes already ate before the storm hit. Now it was only going to be a matter of time of how long it was set to last.

Yet even though people were going to complain about the food again eventually, it was not the only thing Sonic the Hedgehog had on his mind. He knew very well he had bigger things to worry about.

"I'm with Yoshi on this one. I'm not too big a fan of the rain either. Now, it has nothing to do with me not being a fan of swimming, but... I just prefer sunshine, man. I go out of my house quite a bit and rain is nothing more than an obstacle to me. ...But during all that time of me just sitting in the shelter doing nothing, I was just trying to figure out how in the name of Chaos am I gonna pick myself back up again... And at this point, the only way to be safe this round is if my team wins. I don't know if there is any other way to handle this..."

He was rather silent throughout this time, and people were beginning to notice. Sonic was extroverted. And it was not as if he did not know when to stop talking, but him not saying a word every once in a while? Rather out of character, actually.

"You hanging in there, Sonic?"

"..."

Golden blinked and decided to ask again. "Sonic?"

He then out of nowhere shifted his head in his direction. "Oh! ...I'm fine. Just waiting like the rest of you..."

Apparently he was so into his own thoughts he did not even realize someone called out his name the first time.

"It's unlike you to be quiet, but I guess the rain has us all feeling some type of way." commented Donkey Kong.

"I remember Kodai Island from start to finish." Yoshi commented on his experience watching Survivor season one. "Sonic is one of the people I admired, especially since he won even though he had a lot against him. I was thrilled to realize I was going to be on the same tribe with him this season. He's at a low right now, but like,... he's had his shot! I went to the end too, but I didn't win. Doc Louis did. I need my second chance to win Survivor, which I know not everyone gets. It's not Sonic's fault at all that he's a threat to possibly screw over non-winners games, because production made that choice. And I really like Sonic, but..."

He then sighed. "I've grown to being used to making some of these hard choices. And if I have to help vote out the very first winner of this show,... That's probably how it's gonna go."

"You sure you okay with this?"

He was now with Vector, the rain slowing down quite a bit, given the survivors the opportunity to step out and stretch their legs.

"Well, I already voted out Isabelle, so I can write down Sonic, too..." Yoshi exhaled again and shook. "If we're the losers again, let's just get it over with. I'm sad by this whole thing myself. ...This is freaking Sonic we're talking about. Voting out a winner who paved the way for us all,... we might as well be on the Villains tribe."

...

"I get it. But you know, at least you didn't come from the same planet as him. I'm more familiar with Sonic than some of these other folks. But I think I'll be alright. Sonic is of course smart enough to not take this to heart. Everybody else has probably already confirmed with each other that Sonic is going to be unanimous."

They were. Ask Meta Knight and Shovel Knight.

"Still set on Sonic?

"Yeah... He'll probably think of it as a way of us paying him respect, since he's already won."

"Good. Sonic's gone."

And also, Donkey Kong and Zelda.

"I'll be ready to send him home."

"That's fine, then. I know this is gonna be hard for you, yet again..."

"Zelda, I'll be fine. I know he's already won before."

But back to Vector and Yoshi.

"The dude's already won!"

Yep... Like literally everybody else said before, Sonic already won Survivor... There was no need to be reminded of that for the thousandth time...

"You know," Vector continued to talk. "if it's him next if we lose, we can all take a breath of fresh air. The hard part will be over, and I feel like we'll plan for what's to come next. ...But,... I think it'll be safe for us to secretly align together like we did last time. Wouldn't you say?"

"Umm, sure." He nodded. "As long as no one else see us as dangerous, I guess..."

"People are checking up on me, but people haven't been talking to me as much as they used to because they know that I'm the odd man out." Sonic said with misfortune. "Really in a terrible spot right now. If I'm able to defeat the impossible, then I'll be the luckiest man in the universe. All I can do is give this everything that I can. Maybe if the Survivor Gods actually allow me to survive this round, there should be a saying that should go like... 'If Sonic can survive an entire tribe being against him on Survivor - Heroes vs Villains, you can survive this.'"

Nice reference to literal pop culture, that is if whether or not one was aware of how the saying went regarding a real life legendary pop music icon. Though for those who needed a strong hint,... one year. 2007.

Villains

Day 9

Back to blue skies and sunshine.

"We have treemail!"

Eyes shot in the direction Ryu and Wolf were coming from, the former holding the day's treemail in his hands.

"I'll read." Wolf volunteered, some of his fellow castaways gathering around to read its contents.

"'Hopefully, you survivors are ready. It's time for some smashing.'"

Ooh...

"'Work together as a team as gates will be crashing. Your mind and body will be put up to a test, make sure you are at your best. Or else you will not win the challenge ahead, tonight you may as well make tribal a place where you will finally rest.'"

"...What challenge requires... 'smashing and gate crashing'?" Springtrap popped an eyebrow folding his arms. "We are doing previous challenges right? And I'm assuming these are only challenges from the pre-merge."

"Emperors vs Knights had that reward challenge that we did when we first got here." Shadow brought up. "The first immunity was from Kodai, the last immunity was from the Caribbean. Mexico would be next if we're doing one season at a time..."

"Then if it's my season, what cha-..." Plague Knight stood frozen in place before all of a sudden snapping his fingers upon realization. "Oh! I know exactly what it is. Specter, Ryu, we got this one!"

"This morning when Ryu and Wolf got the treemail and read what the challenge was going to be about, I quickly put two and two together and realized that I knew exactly what the challenge was going to be. It was gonna be the one where we had to use a big log to tear those gates down and we had to solve a puzzle at the end. My team didn't come in first place, but my team still won, because my season had three starting tribes. If my team won in Mexico, there should be no reason why we shouldn't win today. So the best thing I can do is to step up in order for us to have a major advantage in today's challenge. Ryu and Specter's team won and they came in first place, but they don't have the Brains like I do, nor have they ever led anyone like I do back in Shivaland. Anyone that is not Plague Knight being the main one in charge of the next challenge is going to be a bad idea, and I can't sit out anyways since I've already sat out the last one."

"Okay, so you must participate, today." Springtrap pointed at Plague.

"Duh..." He blinked. "I have to lead this challenge. I can already show you on how we're going to do it right now."

"Who are we gonna sit out, then?" asked Foxy.

"You guys need as much strength as possible." Sheik was already raising her hand. "I'll sit out this one..."

"But we need Specter Knight to be a part of this as well since his team won and scored first place..." reminded Wolf.

"Well my team won, too!" Plague just had to make sure everyone knew. "I may not be super strong physically, but I was on the Brains tribe. I can clearly do puzzles, so you guys need me and you know it. Isabelle is already out of the game, and even if she was here, there is no way she can do puzzles like I can."

"So who else are we going to sit out, then?" Foxy asked again. "We are up by two members..."

"I'll sit out..." Shadow's hand was now in the air. "I'd rather have myself sit out then to watch this team lose. I just don't want to go tribal-"

"Okaysothisishowwe'regonnadothechallenge." Damn... Rude. "The big guys have to be in the front and the back because they are going to be the last ones that are gonna get tired of handling the log. Everybody else including myself can stay in the middle. And Specter, I'll be the one in charge of the puzzle. I have to do it."

"Well excuse me, princess..."

OOOOOH!

"Ryu, you have to be up front." The master alchemist pointed at his longtime co-worker. "You can show everyone how to smash the gates open. Specter, you have to be withme in the middle."

"Okay." Ryu clapped his hands and kept them together. "So everyone, I suppose we should all just let Plague Knight have the floor, because apparently he's done this challenge before."

Haha!

"That's right! Everybody has to let me talk. I got this."

Ridley harshly rolled his eyes. Either it was his ego that was going to get bruised since he was also used to leading all the time back on Zebes, or he was annoyed at Plague Knight being Plague Knight.

"Apparently the challenge is just going to be the second immunity challenge from my season. My team came in first place, Plague's team came in second. But since Plague is better at puzzles, he decided to take the leadership role and make sure the entire tribe follows his orders... I don't think I was ever in a position to listen to whatever Plague of all people has to say. You just... you just can't take him seriously. But I suppose we do need him. Me and him are both huge targets, and if I have to listen to him in order to win immunity, so be it. I'm trying to stay as long as I can." Specter really did not care at the end of the day, as long as his goals were met. "But in the chance that he has no idea what he's doing since he loves the sound of his own voice, I'll interrupt him and take the lead instead. To make him swallow his pride, I will make sure he understands that I am the only person of this entire group of players that can properly put him in his place."

"Only thing we would have to deal with is the Heroes tribe." No kidding... There was more than one tribe competing in the challenge! Oh, what a surprise! "They have Golden, but Golden is only one person. And even if they still had Isabelle, we actually sat her out when we did the challenge because she's too weak so she couldn't do it."

What about the time where Plague Knight single-handedly blew an entire challenge after the swap?

"So we have no reason to lose. If we do, I'll be completely embarrassed and humiliated. We're going to make sure we win that challenge."

"I am so worried about me going home first from this tribe at this point, but when I realized this was going to be my challenge, I knew I need to do everything in my power to make sure I'm not going to tribal. This is a golden opportunity here." No pun intended. "I can't mess this up. If the Villains somehow don't win this one, I wouldn't know how I would be able to live with myself and I'm gonna be an even bigger target. It's literally do or die at this point..."

Day 9

"Come on in!"

For the third time in a row, the Villains all came in one by one onto the challenge area. And yes, based off the looks of things, this was indeed the challenge Plague Knight was talking about.

Anyone had Survivor - Mexico as their favorite season?

"Villains, get your first look at the new Heroes tribe. Mario voted out at the last Tribal Council."

Upon them glancing over at the blue team heading in, some were rather a bit surprised that it was not Sonic already, yet they felt Mario leaving was also somebody that would make sense.

"Oh, great... He's gone..." Bowser mumbled under his breath snickering.

"Satisfied, Bowser?" Master Hand immediately asked the Koopa.

"I mean, we were kinda wondering of which of the two of us would leave first this whole time. But with me outlasting him this time for this season,... it brings nothing but closure to me. Even if I don't win this season, I am more content with me placing lower than him in season one."

"Alright, you guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge? Once again Villains, I will take back the idol." For the third time in a row, the master floated his way over to the red team, taking the idol away from Wolf. "Once again, immunity is back up for grabs."

"For today's challenge, each tribe will use one large log to smash through two walls. You will then maneuver your log through a table maze. First tribe that get their log through the maze and bang their gong wins immunity, safe from the vote. Losers, Tribal Council tonight where someone will be the third person voted out of this game. In addition, you're playing for a reward. Wanna know what you're playing for?"

"Let's just say that it'll be nice to have a little more comfort in your camp..." When he went over to reveal, the castaways all got excited. Camp was going to be more comfortable to live in for the winners of that day.

"Oh my back..." Springtrap mumbled.

"Hammock, blankets, pillows, candles, and two custom Survivor lounge chairs."

"I'm getting that hammock today." Donkey Kong grinned.

"Villains, before we get started, you have two extra people to sit out. Keep in mind," Master Hand reminded. "you cannot sit out the same person in back to back challenges. Plague Knight sat out last time, he must participate. Who's it gonna be?"

"You two going?" Specter asked the hedgehog and the ninja.

"Yeah..."

"We're going..."

He then turned to the host. "Shadow and Sheik are sitting out of this one..."

"Shadow, Sheik, take your spots on the sit out bench." They did as they were told as the large white hand had one important fun fact to note. "Before we get started, let's keep you up to date with history. This challenge was done in Survivor - Mexico. Ryu, Golden, Specter Knight, and Plague Knight all have done this challenge. All four of them were winners. Specter and Ryu, your team placed first. Plague and Golden, your team placed second. Today, it's Golden versus the three of you. Let's see how today plays out."

A smash battle with three against one? How unfair indeed. If Golden's opponents were all skilled at smashing, he had no chance out of the gate...

Oh, this was Survivor, not Super Smash. Nevermind...

"I'm gonna give you all a minute to strategize, we'll get started."

"Okay..." The teams were seen strategizing before the challenge began just as before, the smallest member of the Villains team lecturing his tribe mates. "Remember... Master Hand announced that I've done this challenge before for a reason. I know everybody wants to talk, but I want all of us to win, so everybody needs to listen to what I have to say. When Specter and Ryu have to say something, let them talk as well, but I'll be the main man on the puzzle. It's all about who's going to do the best job for the challenge. Do you all understand?"

"Yes, Master Plague..." Springtrap snickered.

"Hmph..." said Ridley. "Let's see how good you are with leadership..."

"I'll be in front..." Golden was strategizing with his team. "I know the Villains have an advantage, but I'm physical and I was on the Brains tribe. I'll be up front so I can help us smash the wall and I'll step up and help out with the puzzle. Sonic can be up front with me, DK can be in the back with Vector."

"Oh Goddesses..." Zelda sounded rather nervous. "If we can actually pull this off.."

"Never say never." Sonic suggested with a smirk.

"We're gonna be in a terrible position after this challenge if this team loses again. Luckily this time, I've actually done this challenge in Survivor - Mexico, but the obvious odds that are against me is that the Villains team are gonna have three members that would give them hell of an advantage, and they need Plague Knight to participate this time. But I've been a one man machine before, so I'll keep my composure and lead my tribe as quickly and carefully as I can..."

Golden's confidence was appreciated.

-/-

Shadow and Sheik sat on the bench beside each other, ready to watch the challenge unfold.

"Alright, here we go. For immunity and reward in the form of comfort." Master Hand was set to begin the challenge. "Survivors ready? ...GO!"

Off they went.

"Run! Run!"

"Go, go, go!"

The teams were racing to the first of two gates they needed to smash with the puzzle log.

"Keep going, keep going!" Ryu commanded in the front leading the Villains, Springtrap over to his right.

"Keep up!" Golden ordered his team for the Heroes.

SMASH!

...SMASH!

"Both tribes landing big hits on those gates!" Master Hand narrated. "The gate has to be destroyed before you move onto the next one. Remember to keep at least one hand on the log at all times."

"One, two! One, two! One, two!" The Villains immediately developed a rhythm while they continued to smash their gate, their opponents literally using the exact same method.

"These logs are heavy!"

That was why characters like Zelda or... Plague Knight were going to be the first people to experience fatigue over time.

"Keep steady!" Golden suggested, he working alongside Sonic in the front as planned.

"You have to throw in all your energy into it!" Plague yelled out. He was definitely planning on taking over with the puzzle, yet with the physical portion, even he himself knew he could only have done so much. Still, he spoke while he can.

"You need to give it that extra 'oomph'." Master Hand barked. "Gonna take some time to break down!"

"Move together!" Specter told his team.

"Keep the rhythm up, guys!" Golden reminded. "We're doing good!"

Every hard hit meant more pieces falling and collapsing on the ground, the survivors all putting every muscle in their bodies to good use.

"Ugh!" Vector sounded gritting his teeth.

"Good work." Ryu's team was making progress. "Keep your breathing steady."

"Both tribes are doing a great job at their wall. The Villains are almost done with theirs!"

"Great teamwork. Nice work!" Sheik cheered from the sit out bench.

"Keep it together!" Vector shouted, watching Golden and Sonic kick down the wall.

"Just a bit more..." Springtrap noticed the wall nearly being completely destroyed, kicking some more pieces off.

"...You're good, Villains! Red can move onto their second wall!"

And the eight of them all began to run again.

"We're almost done. Don't worry about them!" Golden did not want the team to panic already, though the other team was advancing.

"Move, move, move!" Plague barked, making it a point for his voice to be heard. "Quick!"

"Lift up..." Ryu made his team start to lift the log upwards for the first hit. "And..."

SMASH!

"Okay, we're good. Let's go now!" Sonic was ready to get a move on.

"Heroes are now through their first gate!"

"Steady pace, guys!" said Donkey Kong.

"One, two! One, two! One, two!" Villains continued to chant.

"Nice..." Shadow mumbled under his breath watching the scene unfold.

SMASH!

"Heroes are now at their first gate. They can still catch up!"

And they began their chant again just as their foes were.

"Full force!" Meta Knight spoke.

"Together! Together!" Wolf hollered as they kept smashing away.

"We have to keep hitting it. Do it!" They were doing it, Plague Knight...

"Still in this, guys." Golden kept his composure. "Keep it up!"

"Heroes have gone to Tribal Council twice and already lost members. They do not want to lose another. Nobody from the Villains has ever been to Tribal Council."

Duh...

"There is no need for them to go now!"

"Almost done, almost done..." Foxy's team was nearly finished their second gate. "Little more..."

"You're through, Villains!"

Ryu, Springtrap, Wolf, Specter Knight, Plague Knight, Foxy, Bowser, and Ridley all began to push their way through of what was left of the wall.

"Villains are gonna be the first tribe to start on their puzzle!"

"Lift up!" Specter Knight ordered, he and the rest of the participating members using whatever strength they had left to raise their log up high in order to put the nose on the table. "Little more..."

"...Okay, let me go to the front! Let me go to the front! You move!" Plague Knight decided to swap places with Ryu. "Alright. Follow my lead. Straight! ...Right!"

"Alright, we're done. Let's move!"

"Heroes are through with their second wall! You need to push it, Heroes! Let's go!"

"Hurry up!" Yoshi really did not want to see Master Hand at tribal again.

"NO! Left! ...Straight... keep going... Right! Go back!" The cloaked scientist was not messing around with the puzzle at all, more of the puzzle log getting on the table.

"The maze on the puzzle can easily fool you. Don't rush too much or you will mess up!"

"I hope Plague knows what he's doing..." Shadow muttered.

"Here comes the Heroes!" Master Hand warned the red team, Golden beginning to look rather exhausted. But his work was not quite done yet.

"Get the nose up, get the nose up!"

"Up... up... Hold! There's a dead end that way." Plague was paying attention to his work rather carefully. "Gotta go around it..."

The rest of the red team was busy going over the alchemist's directions in case there was anything he overlooked, especially Specter and Ryu.

"Unhook and unclip the handles!" Golden ordered the blue team, him obviously staying up front. "Here we go... Straight! Right!"

"This is a perfect opportunity for the Heroes to catch up with the Villains right here, right now."

"Right, right,... Okay, up, up, up! ...Guys, up!"

"Halt!" Specter Knight rudely interrupted. "We cannot go anymore, Plague. We're at a dead end."

"...Damn it!"

"Alright, move back..." Ryu quickly helped his people move the log back a little bit.

"Villains reached a dead end. Music to the Heroes ears!"

Shadow dropped his head into his lap in the sit out bench, Sheik still standing not giving up hope.

"Proper leadership, Plague..." Ridley's voice was heard from the back.

"Left! ...Straight! Right! Little more... Up!"

"...Wait a minute, wait a minute..." Shovel Knight from the blue team found a problem. "We can not go anymore. This is leading nowhere..."

"Now the Heroes have reached a dead end. This is gonna keep the Villains' lead intact!"

"That's right, keep going!" Plague still had his pride and confidence in him. "Up, right, right! NO! ...Okay, left!"

"Villains are now starting to get that nose through!"

"Right, right... Up... keep going up! ...?"

"Dead end again!" Shovel Knight spoke out.

"Heroes have reached another dead end! They are quickly falling behind now!"

Just what the Villains needed to hear as they were nearly completed, Ridley and Bowser now moving to the front of the puzzle log, realizing there was more of the puzzle log heading out the opposite end of the table.

"Heroes are starting to panic!"

"Okay okay, let's trying going this way..." Zelda suggested. "Alright, Golden. We can start again..."

"Okay... Right! Left! ...Back around!"

"Villains are almost through! Heroes might be a little too late..."

No!

"Up... up... Alright, get ready..." Plague Knight started getting excited, the final piece of the log getting through. "Come on!"

BANG!

"VILLAINS WIN IMMUNITY AND REWARD!"

Golden's face dropped on the puzzle log in immediate defeat.

"No Tribal Council for the third straight time!"

"YEEES!" Plague Knight jumped up and down from where he was standing, most of the tribe embracing him and each other in support. Even Ryu and Specter Knight were well pleased smiling.

"We did it!"

"I'm so sorry, guys..." Nothing but guilt washed over the animatro-... anthropomorphic bear. "I've tried my best."

Vector slapped a friendly hand, not wanting him to feel like the worst person in the world. Though he did not say a single word, being pissed off in his mind.

"Not again..." Yoshi quietly mumbled to himself. "Not again..."

"Oh, Chaos..." Sonic obviously felt the most disappointed inside mumbling to himself. "I'm dead... I'm dead..."

"Villains... You guys seem to be unstoppable right now..." The Master Hand grabbed the tribal immunity idol and carried it over to the winners. "Immunity for the third straight time."

"Give it to Plague..." Ryu told him, the hand obeying the order of one of his smashers for once. "Love him or hate him, he's the one that deserves it. ...Nice job."

"Thank you!" He held it high in the air. "This is great!"

"I gotta hand it to you..." Even Ridley wanted to give credit. "Your leadership skills aren't that bad..."

"Alright, Villains. You can come grab your reward and continue your vacation back at camp." Damn... What a way for Master Hand to rub salt on the wound.

"We'll enjoy it." But Bowser at that point wanted to own up to it. It was not like him to win tribal challenges, now Koopa won three in a row? ...Bowser?

As the Villains exited, the face of every last remaining Hero said it all. They were not happy one bit.

"Well, well, well..." Crazy Hand's brother watched them all. "I suppose for the first time in Survivor history, a tribe will be attending Tribal Council three straight times. This is gonna be interesting. ...Golden... You look like someone just killed one of your loved ones..."

"Just... It's... It's really disappointing and embarrassing... And, I..." He exhaled deeply. "I can't even... I... I could barely talk straight. ...I know with my past season, three of the people that have participated in this challenge before are on the other side, but... this is really getting ridiculous at this point. Not only I feel like I let my tribe down, but with a challenge that my team actually won in my past season, that does not help at all."

"We'll have a discussion at tribal. Unfortunately, someone from this team will be going home yet again. Figure out who that's gonna be and I'll see ya there."

What is going on with the Heroes tribe? Including the reward challenge at the beginning, that's four straight challenge losses. How come they can't win anything?

And even Sonic knows that his neck is so far on the last, it might as well get sliced open on the spot. I mean, seriously. What does blue have to do to win something?

...Well,... you all know the drill. Somebody will be going home next chapter. This is not gonna be fun for your favorite heroes at all...
