(The Interrogation)

Dimitri and Rosa exchanged a few tired glances. Rose was dizzy, but she battled it since she knew our job wasn't done yet. "Now what?" Dimitri wondered. "Interrogation!" exclaimed Jasmine. Dimitri said, "Jazz!" While Roza and I interrogate Sonya, you should get some rest. Jasmine stood up, walked over to sofa and sit down so that she watch the interrogation.

While Jasmine waited on the sofa, Dimitri and Rose began questioning Sonya. Interrogation wasn't going well, as Jasmine could tell. Sure, we threatened each other and used the stakes as torture instruments, but nothing came of it. As the hour passed and It didn't help matters that we didn't exactly have a concrete question to ask her. We mostly had a series to throw at her. Did she know about king of the strigoi. Things also went bad when Sonya realized we needed her too much to kill her, no matter how much silver stake torture we did.

Rose was leaning against a wall near Sonya, and she had my stake in hand. Rose was leaning on the wall to hold her upright a little more than she liked to admit. Sonya had given up on her threatening snarls. She simply sat and watched, perhaps planning an escape and assuming we'd tire out before she did.

"What happened to your head, Roza?" Dimitri was curious. Rose exclaimed, "Huh!" Rose pushed her hair out of her face, which had been hiding part of her face. Rose's fingers were bloody and sticky, bringing back thoughts of falling into the table. She shrugged, seemingly unconcerned with my dizziness. "I'm alright," she says.

"Go lay Rosie down, clean her up," Jasmine murmured with a quick glance at Dimitri. Don't let her fell to sleep until we've determined if she has a concussion. Sonya and I, on the other hand, have a brief conversation.

Jasmine rose up and reached down to pick up her backpack from the sofa. "I can't leave you alone with her," Rose remarked. Rosie, Jasmine said, do as you've been told. You should get some rest so that you can assist me later. If you're just going to fall over, you're no good to me." Dimitri gently took Rose's arm, Rose stumbling gave her away. Dimitri led Rose to the house's one bedroom, much to her dismay. There was something creepy about knowing they was in a Strigoi's bed-even if it was covered with a blue-and- white floral quilt.

After Dimitri had wiped her brow, Rose fell back against the pillow. It felt lovely to rest, despite my previous denial. "I can't get used to the strangeness of a Strigoi living in such a... ordinary environment." Dimitri commented, "It's astonishing Sonya would live in such a place." Rose started to close her eyes and was jolted awake when Dimitri poked her arm and said, "No sleep! Stay up and talk to me." "It's not a concussion,' Rose muttered. "But I suppose we could talk about how we're going to persuade Sonya to talk."

A spike of emotion flitted through the bond, and Rose froze. Dimitri asked, "something wrong?" Rose said, "It Lissa!" Dimitri said, "Go to her while check on Baby girl. Rose jumped away from Sonya's bedroom and into Lissa's perspective. While Dimitri turn around opened the door to hear Sonya screaming from the pain from the living room.

(Living Room)

Jasmine had a silver stake in Sonya's right leg and was twisting into her leg, forcing her to scream once again as Dimitri entered the living room from around the corner. Dimitri's gaze turned to the table next to Jasmine, which was laden with silver knifes. Dimitri marveled by Jasmine's lack of response to the strigoi. "Are you ready to tell me everything you know or do you want keep going?" Jasmine inquired.

"Can you tell me anything about Rual?" Jasmine was curious. According to Sonya, Rual is the first strigoi. He is, however, on the search for a creature known as Element. Rual believes she is a dhampier with Moroi-like abilities. She is the world's most powerful then any Moroi in this world. Rual believes that she will help him take over Moroi world, while bare his children."

"Can you tell me where Rual is?" Dimitri was curious. Sonya shouted, "Fuck you!" Jasmine once more as she twisted her silver stake in Sonya leg making Sonya scream again. Jasmine asked, "Answer the question?" Sonya explained, "Transylvania in Romania." "Can you tell me where in Transylvania, Romania?" Jasmine was curious. "If I reveal where Rual is, he'll kill me," Sonya added. Sonya screamed and pretended to pass out as Jasmine twisted the silver stake again. Jasmine remarked, "Sonya, Sonya! Acting must come to an end." Jasmine leaned over and grabbed a silver knife from the table, stabbing Sonya in the left leg, causing her to scream once more. Jasmine didn't fall for it, which surprised Dimitri.

Dimitri asked, "Jazz where did you learn to Interrogation?" "Zmey!" exclaimed Jasmine. Dimitri's gaze shot to Jasmine, and he recalls that Jasmine's and Roza's fathers were Abe Mazur. "This is a great time for a break, before we start again," Dimitri added.

Rose jumped out of bed, thankful that she hadn't fallen over. Her head hurt, but she wasn't dizzy any more, which meant she hadn't suffered a concussion. Looking at an alarm clock as she walked out of Sonya's room, she realized she had been gone for approximately an hour. Rose entered the living room to find Dimitri and Jasmine seated on the sofa, with Sonya still chained up on the chair.

(The new arrival)

Christian, Robert, and Spiridon entered through the front door. Dimitri's gaze shifted to Christian, Robert, and Spiridon.

Jasmine held her silver stake in her hands, attempting to enchant with her spirit. Rose said, "Christian want are you doing here?" Christian said, "Come to find Jasmine. I was so worried about her with her disappear with Alex and you. By the way where is Alex?" Rose said, "Shit! Alex still running around in yard. Christian open the door and whistle loud. Alex came running into the house fast he could. Christian asked "why is Alex where collar?" Rose said, "Long story!"

Robert eyes fell on Sonya and saying, "Sonya Karp. You've changed since I last saw you.' "I'm going to kill you all,' Sonya snarled. "And consume you one by one. Normally, I'd start with the dhampiers and work up to the Moroi."She glanced at Jasmine. Her face full of rage. "I think I'll save her for last. I drag out her suffering.' She paused and almost comically added, "You've annoyed me the most." Christian said, "Do all Strigoi go through some boot camp and learn all the same threats? It's a wonder you don't cackle too." Rose smiled at Christian joke.

Sonya made her move. While Rose talking to Christian. It was probably the best opening Sonya could have hoped for. Jasmine order, "Dimitri, Rose, and Spiridon to restrained Sonya down. It time!" Robert moved away from Jasmine to watch. Sonya bucked up from the chair with Strigoi power. The chain was twisted around her multiple times, but her fast movement and power snapped the chain in two places. Even though the rest of them were still encircling her, we knew that even one gap would be enough for her to break free. Dimitri was on her in a flash, distracted or not, and we were on her in a flash, too. She was writhing in her chair, exerting every ounce of her strength.

Rose, Dimitri and Spiridon started restrained Sonya to the chair. Rose saw a flash of movement in my periphery, setting off new alarms. Jasmine was heading toward us-and her had a silver stake in her hand. The sight was so bizarre and unexpected that Rose was slow to alert Dimitri. Spiridon noticed that Jasmine eyes where golden not her normal light brown with gold were holding Sonya still, and with her chest vulnerable, Jasmine had a clean shot to Sonya heart.

Too late before, Rose could say anything. Then the stake plunged down with a force that astonished everyone. Jasmine had to use two hands, but the stake went firmly into Sonya's chest, piercing her heart. Sonya let out an intense scream. A brilliant, blinding white light suddenly filled the room, just as an unseen force blasted Rose, Dimitri and Spiridon away from Jasmine and Sonya. Rose hit a wall, my brain barely registering the pain. The small house shook, and with one hand, she tried to grab something and brace myself. Rose squeezed her eyes shut but could still see starbursts. Time slowed. My heartbeat slowed.

Then-it all stopped. Everything. The light. The tremors. Everyone breathed normally. All was quiet and still, as though I'd imagined what had just happened. Rose blinked, trying to bring her eyes back into focus and assess the situation. I did my best to scramble clumsily to my feet and saw Dimitri was doing the same on the other side of the room. He looked like he'd also been knocked over but had caught the wall for support, rather than smashing into it. While Spiridon was knocked into the kitchen from the blast.

"Incredible," Christian, Robert, Dimitri, and Rose said quietly together. Jasmine fall to her knees in front of Sonya and breathing hard.

Sonya remained in the armchair, and it was clear from the way she was sitting back that she'd been blasted by the same force that had struck the rest of us. She was still encircled by chains, but she was no longer struggling. The silver stake Jasmine had gripped only minutes before was on her lap. Sonya wiggled a hand free of the chain just long enough for her fingers to contact the stake's surface. Her eyes, which were a beautiful, azure blue, expanded in awe.

Jasmine had brought Sonya Karp back to life. She was no longer Strigoi. Rose had felt the magic's power through the bond with Jasmine feeling, giving me the full and overwhelming experience of it all." Dimitri could feel joy pour threw magic bond. Christian crossed the room to Jasmine's side to see how she was doing.

Dimitri was taken aback by Sonya's reaction. He was on the lookout for anything—anything—that would hint at her prior existence. There wasn't any. Sonya skin was pale, as was typical of Moroi skin, but it was still warm and alive, with a hint of color—unlike the Strigoi, who were utterly devoid of pigment. Her eyes were bloodshot, but that was due to the quick formation of tears in her eyes. Her irises have no red ring surrounding them. And there wasn't a trace of cruelty or hatred in those eyes. They weren't the eyes of someone who had just threatened to kill the entire group. Her eyes were filled with shock, terror, and bewilderment. I couldn't do it.

It's a miracle." Rose stated, Sonya Karp was a live, breathing miracle!

It began as a low moan and quickly increased in volume. Everyone was startled awake by the noise, but Rose wasn't sure how to respond. Jasmine reached forward, attempting to free Sonya from the chains that had encircled her. When Dimitri puts away his stake in his belt and rushes to Jasmine for assistance in removing Sonya's bonds. He began attempting to release her from her shackles there. Her efforts no longer had the magical strength of an monster seeking vengeance, and she floundered under his touch. These were the movements of someone who was terrified.

Jasmine wrapped those chains pretty securely, but Dimitri had them off in seconds. Once Sonya was free. Sonya jumped into Jasmine arms and knocking Jasmine butt. Jasmine put her arms around her and cuddle Sonya to her chest. Sonya bury her face against Jasmine chest and sob. Dimitri thought it was odd that Sonya would go Jasmine arms like child jumping their mother arms. Was crying the natural reaction for anyone being born-or, in this case, reborn-into the world? As Jasmine horded Sonya in arm and whisper soft word into her to calm.

"Now!" cried Robert. Sonya might be detained and questioned. Jasmine head snapped up and speak, "She's in no condition to answer anything! She's in shock. Leave her alone" Robert noticed Jasmine's refusal to back off. Everyone could see that Jasmine had protective attitude over Sonya. Rose was feeling threw bond and Jasmine anger at Robert. Rose said, "Back off Robert."

Dimitri stood up, lifting Sonya easily in his arms. She was still crying, but her sobs were quieter now. Dimitri said, "Sonya need rest." While Christian reached down and picked up Jasmine from floor and put her on the sofa to rest.

Dimitri returned a little while later, casting a quick glimpse at Jasmine, who was sleeping on the sofa with her head in Christian's lap. "Sonya is also sleeping," he said. Alex is seated on the floor, watching Jasmine sleep, while Rose standing waiting for answers. "The transformation is incredible.I believe it is time for Robert to explain what just happened."

To begin with, the restoration isn't a simple spell," Robert clarified. Jasmine was a lot younger than me. Even if you only do it once, it's a huge accomplishment. Twice? Well, Rose and I both understand how spirit works, and we both know that this achievement is hard on both body and mind. Jasmine has made a tremendous effort. Dimitri was astounded to learn that Jasmine had done a high-level restoration spell like putting ware around the log cabin.

"Can someone explain why Jasmine's eyes turn from a lovely light brown to a golden color?" Spiridon had inquired. "Jasmine is Spirit Element!" Robert answered. Spiridon remarked, "I just thought she was a gorgeous woman and would be a great guardian. Now I can see that Jasmine is a Angel in need of true guardian. Dimitri said, "Jazz has best guardians." Rose said, "Damn right!"
