A few days after Lloyd joined the Ninja on the Bounty, Lloyd manage to adjust to living with her uncle, sister and the Ninja while the others manage to get to know Lloyd better and find him a good kid after getting pass the brat thing.
The sound of Lloyd whistling is heard as Kai had turned on the t.v. and picked up a game controller to start up the game as Lloyd stood in the doorway. "Hey, Kai. Heh. Saw Cole beat your high score. You should've seen it. It was pretty spectacular." Lloyd told Kai.
"Uh, you must be talking about "Sitar Legend."" Kai said. "This is 'Fist to Face 2.' No one beats me on my game." He boasted.
"Huh, could be wrong. See you." Lloyd said as he walked away. When Kai started the game, he found his high score was nowhere to be found and all he sees is Cole across the leaderboard.
"Huh? COOLE!" Kai shouted in rage.
In the kitchen of the ship Cole is stirring a pot filled with red soup.
"Mm, mm. Violetberry soup." Cole said to himself. "My culinary achievement to earning Lydie's respect. If the recipe is not followed exactly-" He lift up the spoon to get a taste of it, only for him to mumble in disgust at the taste before he heard Lloyd at the door.
"By the way, I saw Jay spice things up." Lloyd said through the screen door. "I told him not too, but he said you're cooking could use it. Bye, Cole." He waved as he walked off.
Cole spit out his now ruined soup as he gave rageful look. "JAAAY!" He shouted.
On the deck of the ship, Jay had training armor on as he stood in front of a robo training dummy before he picked up a remote and turned it on. Once it was activated, he put on his helmet and ready his nunchucks.
"Let's ease our way into this. How about level two, shall we?" Jay asked as he pressed a button on the remote. The sparring butt sparked up a bit before an 9 was on a small screen on it. He heard Lloyd whistling before he turned to see him on the steps.
"Hey, Jay, I saw Zane trying to repair the sparring bot earlier." Lloyd told him. "Isn't that your expertise? Later, bro." Lloyd went up the steps as Jay was surprised about what he said.
"Wait, what?!" Jay demanded as he frantically pressed the button on the remote to turn the sparring bot off, but instead it moved towards him, it's weapons spinning like a tornado. "No. NNOO! ZAAANE!" He screamed as the bot proceeded to beat the snot out of him.
On the head of the ship, Zane was doing laundry as he saw Lloyd walking up to him as he whistled.
"Hello, Lloyd." Zane greeted. "What brings you up this fine morning?"
"Kai wanted me to pick up his ninja suit. He said he threw them in with your white." Lloyd explained as he opened up the basket and brought out Kai's gi. "Here it is. Thanks." He said as he walked off.
As Lloyd walked away, Zane looked into the basket and find that all his white ninja suits had to turn pink after being washed with Kai's red as he gave a rageful look. "KAAI!" He shouted.
In their bedroom, the four boys started arguing over what Lloyd said that they did to each other, "You couldn't just be happy with the top score!? You just had to rub it in my face?!" Kai yelled at Cole.
"You know how long it took me to make that? Three days. Three days!" Cole demanded Jay, "Now Lydie is never going to let me in the kitchen after this!"
"It's unsaid law, okay? You don't touch a man's robot!" Jay exclaimed to Zane.
"How am I suppose to strike ice cold fear in this? It's HOT PINK!"Zane exclaimed to Kai while showing his now pink gi.
The boys were arguing in circles over what happened and even brought up the topic of the Green Ninja as Lydie and Wu walked and heard them argue. Wu shook his head in disbelief while Lydie snickered and giggled
"Ha, ha. They really fell for it." Lydie commented as the two walked up to the screen door to the boy's bathroom. They opened it and revealed Lloyd was behind.
Lloyd gave a laugh as behind him were spices, tools, a game controller and laundry detergent that is pink.
Seeing the items, the boys gasped in shock and realization "You did this?!" They all exclaimed in rage.
"Boys, I get first dibs on…" Cole spoke first as he walked up to Lloyd, who flinched before Lydie moved in front of him.
"No dibs on my brother!" Lydie said sternly as she looked at her team, "Uncle Wu and I put him up to this for your lesson today."
"What?" The boys asked in surprise.
"Yes we did. I wanted you to show you the destructive power of rumors and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble." Wu explained.
"Wait, how come Lydie wasn't in on the lesson?" Kai asked in confusion.
"Because, if Lloyd did try pulling a stunt like that on me," Lydie before giving her brother a frighting glare, "He would know that his butt would be sore for a week." She said as Lloyd flinched a bit before he nodded rapidly and looked around in slight nervousness. "And besides, I already know this lesson during my time as at the orphanage when people kept jumping to conclusions and thinking I was too weird without even knowing me first. So I already got this lesson down path." She added.
"And did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true as Lydie said?" Wu asked his students about the things Lloyd said to them and how it lead them to the argument.
"Uh, no offense, you two, but let me jump into this conclusion: Today's lesson is lame." Cole said bluntly.
"Yeah. Why can't you teach us to paralyze your enemy with one finger?" Jay asked, "Or find out if a man's lying by the twitch of his nose?" He added looking at Lloyd specifically.
"Because not all lessons are about fighting!" Wu said firmly before looking sheepish, "And I, seem to have misplaced my lesson book." He added.
Lydie raised a brow. She knew her uncle never misplaced things, so the only reasonable way he could've lost his book was…
She turned to her brother as he looked at her innocently, "What's the matter?" He asked.
Lydie just frown and held out her hand, "Hand it over, Lloyd." She said simply.
"What? I don't have anything." Lloyd shrugged innocently.
Lydie raised a brow as she saw the book stick out of his pocket as she walked up and grabbed it. "You mean this, lesson book, uncle?" She asked as she showed the book to her uncle before turning to Lloyd. "Looks like someone was snooping around your room today so he can play pranks on the others." She said while giving Lloyd a look.
"It was the perfect plan." Lloyd said with a frown at his sister. "Until you have had to show up and mess everything up…" He could've continued if Cole hadn't closed the screen door on him as the Earth Ninja wiped his hands.
Lydie sigh. "Lloyd always find a way to pull pranks." She said while rubbing her head.
If you're done fooling around, I could use guys on the bridge. We do still have a snake problem to attend to. Over and out." They heard Nya over the PA.
"It's one thing to let the son of your nemesis live with you, but having my sister here? I mean, come on, I thought this was a ninja headquarters!" Kai complained.
"You do know I can hear you. Over and out." Nya told him over the PA as Kai looked embarrassed for saying that out loud.
The others soon met up with Nya on the Bridge as she turned to them as she showed a map of Ninjago on the big screen.
"Last time we heard from the Anacondrai, Burmesia and Pythor stole the map of dens from Lloyd and is on their way to open the last two Serpentine tombs." Nya explained as she gestured the map.
"Ugh. Don't remind me." Lloyd said in guilt and sadness for what happened that day.
Lydie patted her brother on the head in comfort, "We Already know that along with the Anacondrai, the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre are also on the loose too." She while turning to her team, "Meaning, the last two tombs are the Venomari and the Constrictai."
"The Anacondrai are the most dangerous threat Ninjago has ever faced," Wu said looking to each of his pupils, "If they find those tombs before we do, with Pythor's intellect and all five tribes unleashed, there's no telling what they'll do." He said gravely.
"But those last two tombs could be anywhere." Jay pointed out. "Without the Map of Dens, we might as well just throw darts at a map." He said.
Lydie smirked and turned to Nya who walked behind them, "Nya?" She asked.
"Way ahead of you. Why don't we?" Nya said with a smirk two as she and Lydie each hold a dart and then threw them as Kai ducked under them as the darts landed on the map, Nya's Blue dart on the Glacier Barrens and Lydie's red dart on the Cemetery of Souls. "These are the locations of the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tombs locations that Lloyd told us." She said.
"Show offs." Kai said to the two girls with a look as they walked past him.
Lydie then stuck a purple dart at the Sea of Sand. "And this is the Anacondrai's tomb." She explained, "Nya and I spent all night looking over the map, thinking there was no connection, until we found something. A secret pattern." She said before nodding to Nya.
Nya smirked as she held up a flashlight with a serpent symbol on the lens as she face it to the map, as the symbol to overlap the map and line up the three locations marked. "If you notice, all three tombs are in line with the ancient Ninjago symbol for Serpent." She explained.
"What's more, each Tomb is located in the exact same spots where one part of the Serpent's body is touching another." Lydie continued, pointing to the spots where's the serpent's only belly touched itself.
"So the last two tombs must be here and here." Jay said as he pointed at the remaining points of contact on the serpent which were where the last two tombs are as he gave a smirk to Nya. "Ah, you are so smart, Nya." He said flirty.
Nya gave the same flirting look in return. "Ah, was there ever any doubt?" She asked.
"A-hem?" Lydie fake-coughed, getting their attention, "Aren't you forgetting some -Smart?" She asked Nya with a look.
Nya gave a sheepish blush. "Oh, right. Sorry, I couldn't have solve this without your help, Lydie." She said sheepishly as Lydie smiled in gratitude.
"There's little time." Wu reminded them as they all look at him. "Kai and Jay, you head to the Venomari Tomb. Cole, Zane and Lydie, you take the Constrictai Tomb." He instructed them before handing the Sacred Flute to Cole, "And take this, you might need it if you run into trouble. Good luck, Ninja." He added.
Nya frowned, "What am I gonna do?" She asked.
Lloyd turned to Wu with a smile, "Yeah, what are we gonna do?" He asked as Nya frowned..
"Well Nya, I need you here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into anymore trouble." Wu said as Lloyd give a frown.
Lydie smirked at her, "He probably needs someone really smart to keep an eye on him. Like really smart." She teased.
Nya gave a chuckle as Wu gave the two girls a deadpan look as Nya turned to Wu. "Yes, Sensei." She said.
Lydie then turned to her team. "Come on, boys! We got snakes to stomp!" She declared as they rushed out before Lydie take one last look at her brother. "And don't worry, brother. We'll give them a few hits for you." She assured as Lloyd smiled at his sister, knowing that she will give them payback for what they did to him.
Wu watched the Ninja rush out the bridge as he looked at the map in thought. "Pythor, where are you? What are you up to?" He asked himself, wondering what the Anacondrai was plotting.
Near the base of a tall mountain with a million steps that looks like the head of a snake, Lydie,Cole, and Zanearrived there, the latter two on their Spinjitzu vehicles while Lydie flew on Umbra.
The moment they were close enough, the boy's vehicles vanish in a flash before they land on the ground with Lydie and did ninja poses with their weapons. Zane however groaned as his ninja suit is now pink.
"Well, your vehicles won't traverse the steps and Umbra is too big to even get room to the side of the mountain." Lydie noted as looked at the Mountain, "We go the rest of the way on foot." She told Cole and Zane.
But this is the Mountain of a Million Steps." Zane told Lydie. "Aren't we pressed for time?"
"Then we'll take a shortcut." Cole said. He started climbing up the mountain with Zane and Lydie on his back.
"Are we holding on too tight?" Zane asked.
"Because we can stop and let you take a breather." Lydie suggested to Cole.
"Light as a feather, Pinky and Don't worry Captain, I got this." Cole told his friends before he looked up. "Almost there." Cole then leap another feet up the mountain before they reached the top and into the large snake mountain mouth. Once there, they see the tomb was open and a rope has been tied to a rock all the rest of it was sent down the hole.
"Looks like the Anacondrai were already here." Lydie said.
"Perhaps we should investigate." Zane suggested.
"Give me a second." Cole Said as he panted. "You both go on and start without me."
Zane and Lydie then climb down the rope as. Zane landed on a stone table with a star in the middle of a swirl inside of it. Zane then took out a torch and lit it to light up the room they're in. They soon spotted some drawings on the walls before Cole came down the rope as they went over to them.
"Huh. Didn't Mama Snake ever tell him not to draw on the walls?" Cole joked before he joined Lydie and Zane.
"These images describe a legend about one tribe uniting them all." Zane said as he looked at the images.
"The Serpentine had been at war with each other for a centuries, long before they fought against Uncle Wu and father." Lydie said before turning to Zane. "What does it say?" She asked.
"Well, it says, once they unite, they can find the four Silver Fang Blades that will unleash the Great Devourer," Zane translated.
"Great Devourer?" Lydie repeated in wonder, having a strange feeling like she had a connection to the creature but didn't know what.
"An evil that will consume all of the land, turning day into night." Zane continued.
"You get all that from those little pictures?" Cole asked, all three of them unaware of something moving underground.
"Cole, this is serious." Lydie told him.
"This gives me deep concern." Zane said. "If the Anacondrais' not here, and unites all the tribes together before Kai and Jay find them..."
"Relax, guys." Cole told them. "They're a bunch of dumb snakes who believe in fairy tales. If anything, we got all the- Did you both feel that?" He whispered as he looked down.
"What?" They both asked.
"There's something in the ground." Cole told them as he looked around. The three stay alert as they looked around supcicously. "Don't move." Just then, a large black Constrictai with a long tail, yellow eyes and dark orange scales down his center popped up from the ground and wrapped its tail around Zane.
"General Ssskalidor'sss the name, and I've been waiting for you." The Constrictai general said. "Pythor sssendsss hisss regardsss."
"Did you stay behind just to tell us that?" Zane asked. "Pathetic."
"Look who'sss calling who pathetic, Pinky." Skalidor told him.
"Only I call him Pinky." Cole said as he swings his Scythe around before he slammed it into the ground, causing a tremor that made Skalidor to let go of Zane. The Constrictai then borrowed under the ground.
"Quick, go for the rope!" Lydie shouted before they ran back to the rope. As Lydie and Zane jumped on the rock, Cole was pulled underground by the general. "Cole?" Cole was then thrown out before he crashed on the ground.
Rumbling can be heard as Skalidor was moving underground before they saw him head straight at Cole. Cole saw it coming, so he quickly stood up and took out the sacred flute before playing it.
"No!" Skalidor shouted as he burst out of the ground and held his head in pain when he heard the flute. He then quickly wrapped his tail around Cole and squeezed him tight to make him stop playing.
"Guys. Guys." Cole choked out as he was suffocating while Skalidor squeezed him tighter, causing him to drop the flute.
"Cole!" Lydie called out. "Let him go!" She yelled.
Skalidor simply smirked at her, "Make me." He dared.
"NINJA, GO!" Both Lydie and Zane shouted as they did Spinjitzu and spun their way to the flute. Zane quickly picked it up and he lift up his hood to play it before Skalidor quickly grabbed him by the throat. Zane quickly threw the flute over to Lydie as she took a deep breath until Skalidor grabbed her by the throat with his other hand.
Even with all three of them choked up, Lydie lifted up her hood and played the flute with the breath she had. As the general tightened his grip on her throat, Lydie's vision became blurry from lack of oxygen. Lydie took one last breath and played the last note of the song. After hearing the last note, the general held his head in pain as he screamed and let go of the three.
"Wrap your head around this!" Cole shouted as he picked up his scythe and swung it to knock the general down and knocked him out.
"Ah. Good one." Zane told him.
"Thanks. But if he was expecting us, I think the others are walking into a trap." Cole said as he put his Scythe away.
"Meaning that Pythor and the other has already opened the Venomari tomb too!" Lydie called out after catching her breath. "Come on. Let's get out of here!" She said as they rushed for the entrance.
Meanwhile Kai, and Jay rode their Spinjitzu vehicles to the Toxic Bogs where the Venomari tomb is kept.
In a flash of light, their vehicles vanished and they landed on the ground safely. They spotted the tomb across the bog from where they are. "Ew!" Jay said as he covered his nose through his mask.
"Hey, it's not me. We're in the Toxic Bogs." Kai explained. "This stuff will eat through you worse than Cole's chili." He added as she picked up a stick before placing it in the bog. When he pulled it out, they saw it was burned by it.
The two then took to the trees and jumped their way to the tomb. They jumped from branch to branch and swing on a few vines till they reach the tomb. Once there, Jay walked up to the entrance and opened it. As it open, a yellowish green gas came out and it smelled horrible.
"P-yew!" Jay said as he and Kai covered their noses from the smell.
"P-yew! P-yew! P-yew!"
They heard Jay's echo go off in the tomb and cost Jay to chuckle.
"Let's just make this quick before those snakes gets here." Kai said as Jay went in to inspect the tomb before he heard a splash. "What...?" He walked around the big tree the tomb is in to investigate the noise.
"This place looks empty. You must've just missed them." Jay told Kai. "Check this out. They say you're the Green Ninja, but I say I am!"
"I am! I am! I am!"
"I am!" Jay called out again.
"I am! I am! I am!"
As Jay chuckled at that, Kai continue to be inspect the place around them. He then quickly took out his sword when he heard a croak, only to find a frog in front of him. "You shouldn't sneak up on ponies like that." He told the frog as it hopped on it a green rock. "Heh, if I wasn't such a well-trained nin-" He stopped when he noticed something odd about the rock the frog is on before said rock rise up from the bog.
It was actually the Venomari General with four deep yellow eyes and venom green scales and white horns on his head. "Welcome to the Land of Acidicusss, General of the Venomari. Hope you have a ssspitting good time!" He chuckled before he spat venom in Kai's eyes.
Kai quickly closed his eyes when the venom landed and when he opened them, his eyes glowed venom green. Not only that, but his vision became all wavy. "Jay? Jay!" He allied out desperately.
"No, I'm the real Jay!" Jay shouted into the tomb as his echo sent it back to him.
More Venomari Serpentine rise from bog as some Constrictai Serpentine with orange scales down their bodies and grey scales on their faces popped up from the ground and appearing out of thin air were a few Anacondrai soldiers with spears as they approach Kai. Kai was swinging his sword in fear as they surrounded him and with the venom in his eyes, he either saw them as elves or gingerbread people.
"Oh, this is not good!" Kai panicked shouted in fear. "Jay! Jay!" Jay heard his cry and went to see what's got him so scared. "There are so many!" Kai shouted as he dropped his sword and fell to the ground as he held his head as Jay saw the Serpentine surround him. "Elves and gingerbread people everywhere!" He yelled in fear.
"Okay, I don't know what you're seeing, but this is no time to lose yourself." Jay said as he took out his weapon." I need you, partner." He told Kai.
"I've never fought little people before!" Kai told them as he stood up and saw the elves and Gingerbread men getting closer. "We're toast!"
Just then, Cole, Zane and Lydie arrived jumped off their rides/dragon and landed on the ground in battle ready poses. "Anypony order a little kick butt?!" Cole asked as the Tomb echoed back.
"Butt! Butt! Butt!"
Jay laughed at Cole's echo when he heard it.
Then out from the tomb came Pythor and Burmesia, "Boo!" They both shouted.
"Ahh! They were in there the whole time!" Jay exclaimed as the Ninja backed away.
"Yesss, and for the record, your echoesss were getting really annoying!" Burmesia complained while cleaning her ear.
As they approach them, Lydie took out the flute but before she could play it, Pythor snatched it from her hands with his tail. "No, let'sss not let musssic ruin thingsss, hmm?" He mused to her.
"Hey, that's my uncle's!" Lydie called out.
The ninjas backed up as they are outnumbered. They soon stepped on a large tree log and began to sink and burn in the bog. "I've got a sinking feeling this may be the last I see of you five." Pythor said with an evil grin.
Burmesia chuckled as well. "Good one, Uncle." She said as they all laugh.
The ninjas knows there's no way out of this, with Kai hallucinating, and Umbra not able to carry all of them without risk of getting melted. The bog's toxic water is getting closer as the log was getting smaller. "That's it. I used to hate dragons, but now I officially hate snakes!" Cole complained.
"Wait, do you see that?" Kai asked. "A magic floating rope. We can climb to safety." He was about to walk off the log before Jay stopped him.
"Boy, that Venomari venom is some powerful stuff." Jay said as the log was half way gone and the Serpentine are laughing at their near demise.
"For whatever it is worth, it was an honor to fight beside you all." Zane told his friends.
"Me too." Cole agreed.
"Yeah, ditto." Jay said.
"Least we go down in a blaze of glory, huh guys?" Lydie asked the other before a rope fell over them. "Hey, what?" She asked in surprise.
"The magic rope. Ha." Kai said with hallucination.
"Quick. Everyone, climb over!" Jay shouted as they quickly jumped on to the rope.
Pythor and Burmesia were shocked to see a rope appear before something big landed. It looked to be a large red Samurai Mech, with a booster on its back, golden claws on its arm, and shoulder cannons. The Serpentine backed up when they saw this before it shot a net from its claw at two Constrictai. The Serpentine scattered as the two Constrictai bored into the ground. They all ran for their lives, leaving just Pythor and Burmesia there with the mechanical monster.
"Oh, dear." Pythor said as he backed up a little.
"That'sss a new guy." Burmesia said frighteningly as well as she backed away.
The chest of the mech then lower to reveal a masked man helmet on his face, robotic eyes, and red armor.
"Anacondrai targets confirmed." The samurai said in a robotic voice. "Time to bag and tag." As Pythor turned to leave, the samurai took aim and fire a dart at Pythor's rear ends.
Pythor yelp in pain when he felt the dart hit him.
Burmesia's eyes widened a bit at the sound of her uncle's voice, "Did you jussst ssscreamed like a little girl?" She asked in a weirded out expression.
"No! Maybe?" Pythor said embarrassingly. "Can we talk about thisss later?" He asked with a look before he and Burmesia slithered away.
When they were gone, the ninjas got back on land as the samurai jumped down from his mech.
"Who are you?" Cole asked the samurai as they approached him.
"How about the coolest thing I've ever seen?!" Jay shouted with excitement.
"That was awesome!" Lydie cheered.
"Santa?" Kai asked with wonder as Zane walked up to the samurai.
"Thank you mysterious warrior. I owe you my life for saving- Ugh!" He coughed when the samurai spray him with some sort of gas before he fell asleep.
"Now that wasn't nice." Lydie said before she and the others got sprayed and fell asleep as well. The mech then pulled the samurai in by a grapple before it took off into the sky. As all five ninjas lay on the ground asleep, a light shine down on them as the Destiny's Bounty came overhead.
That night as the Bounty flew through the night sky with Umbra perched on the mast, the Ninja recounted the experience they had in the Toxic Bogs over dinner to Wu, Nya and Lloyd, "So then, just when we were gonna bite it, this huge mechanical robot-" Jay tried to explain.
"Not robot. That guy, was a samurai." Lydie corrected.
"A sama what?" Lloyd asked her sister in confusion.
"Samurai. Highest level of warrior class and sworn rival to the Ninja." Wu explained. "They would protect nobility and serve with honor on the battlefield."
"He was a hundred feet high, with weapons coming out every part of him." Kai said as he is still under the effects of the venom. "Look at sensei's beard a." He whispered to Cole as he saw Wu's beard waving around. "It's moving like snakes." He whispered while Cole sighed in exasperation and Nya shook her head.
"How are we suppose to get rid of this Venomari spit without the Anti-Venom?" Nya asked while looking at her brother. "It's starting to get annoying." she said, with a look
Kai put some food on his face as her sister shook his head while the others look at him strangely.
"Well, unlike the Hypnobrai and Fanypyre's, the Venomari hallucinatory venom is temporary. It should wear off after a while." Lydie explained while looking at Kai weirdly. "Though I think some water to the face would work as a substitute." She added as Kai was about to dump some tea on himself before Lydie grabbed it and place it down.
"Okay, don't let this mysterious samurai cloud what's really important: All the Serpentine are out, and if Pythor can unite the other four and his tribe together, the legend states some Great Devourer is gonna consume the land and-" Cole said before Nya spoke up.
"Great Devourer?" Nya asked.
Lydie then spoke with a book in her hands, "I did some research and found out it was some sort of godly figure the Serpentine worshiped and it was a pretty powerful weapon during the old wars between them before it was sealed away, but I'll have to keep reading to learn more." She explained.
"Well, whatever this Devourer thing is, it's a can of worms I don't want to see open." Cole said commented.
"Unh, it's all my fault." Lloyd spoke up. "If I hadn't found the Hypnobrai tomb in the first place, none of this would've happened." He said while looking down in guilt.
"We cannot change the past, but we can affect the future." Wu said to them. "At least we have the Sacred Flute and our possession, so-" He was cut off when Jay laughed nervously
"Yeah. Ahem. About that..." Jay said fiddling with his cup.
Lydie then rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, "Just before the Samurai showed up, Pythor sort of stole it." She explained.
"The last Sacred Flute, gone?!" Wu asked in shock before he sigh. "You five are Ninjago's last hope." The alarm then went off at that moment.
"Cold-vision must have caught something." NYa said when the alarm sound. "That means the Serpentine are near."
"Oh, no! Ninjago City?" Cole asked before they all head to the bridge. There the computer show them multiple Serpentine are gathering.
"How many are there and which tribes?" Jay asked as they looked at the computer.
"Looks like all of the Five Tribes." Kai pointed out.
"Pythor must be trying to unite them." Zane theorized.
"Go. We mustn't let the five tribes unite." Wu told the ninjas before they went to suit up.
"NINJA, GO!" All five shouted as they did Spinjitzu in a locker room. All but Kai stopped and are in their ninja suits before Zane looked over his, that are still pink. "Ah. I must get this taken care of." He told himself.
Kai, however was getting dizzy from the spinning before his Spinjitzu vanished and he fell to the floor.
"Don't worry. It'll wear off soon." Lydie told Kai with a wink. "For now, you're coming with me." She helped Kai up as he shook his head, and opened his eyes to they were back to normal. "Huh, that was quicker than I thought. Still, I think it be safer if you rode with me."
Kai was soon put in his suit before they went top deck and Lydie jumped off with him. "Yeehaw!" Lydie cheered while Kai screamed before Jay, Zane, and Cole jumped off after.
Lydie and Kai landed on Umbra as the darkness dragon flew down. Jay then took out his Nunchucks and summon his jet to fall faster to the city below.
"Ah! I love the smell of land hurtling towards you in the middle of the night!" Cole told the others.
"Yeah baby!" Jay said in agreement while Zane nodded.
They soon each took out their weapons and summoned their vehicles as they fall faster towards the city. Jay, Zane, and Cole drove down the side of a building as Umbra dove down after them before Zane and Jay landed in a ally when Cole's vehicle landed in the middle of it before their vehicles vanished in a flash of light. Soon both Zane's and Jay's vehicles came flying down before they vanished in a flash of light and Lydie and Kai land on a rooftop.
They all gasp as they got a good look at the city they're in. "Ninjago City. Amazing." Kai said with amazement. "Always heard stories of this place."
"Biggest city in all of Ninjago." Lydie said in awe. "Always wanted to come here when I was kid."
"Me too." Jay said.
"Yeah, I always dreamed of one day being on a billboard here." Cole told them.
"You too?" Jay asked.
"Yeah, I did too." Kai said.
"Uh, but may I remind you, where are the snakes?" Zane spoke up. "We should be standing in the middle of a massive Serpentine gathering."
"Well, if I was a snake, where would I go to be with a bunch of others?" Lydie wondered before she noticed the boys looking down the streets and turned to see an open manhole cover that leans into the sewer as she already knew who went down there. "Oh no, not the sewers." She moaned.
"I hate snakes." Cole complained in agreement with Lydie before they each went down the hole.
Underground, to be an abandoned subway tunnel, every Serpentine Tribe gathered while sticking to their own and looked at the other tribes skeptically.
Behind the subway cars, Pythor and the other Generals were discussing affairs, "You'll have to ussse more than wordsss to bring the Ssserpentine together." Skales told Pythor.
"All I have to do isss show them the way." Pythor said.
"They're ready for you, Uncle." Burmesia told him.
"Ah. Showtime." Pythor smirked as he climb on to the top of the cart where all the Serpentine can see him. "Friends, enemies, and enemies who pretend to be friends." They all laughed at that joke just as the ninjas arrived at the top of a railing. "I welcome you."
"That's a lot of snakes," Cole commented in a whisper.
"What are we gonna do, Captain?" Jay asked.
Lydie thought for a moment before she smirked, "I have an idea. Follow my lead." Lydie told the others before they went into the shadows.
"And what is with the Constrictai and their vice-like grip? Let it go, already." Pythor joked as they all laugh.
"It's funny because it's so true." A Fangpyre told a Hypnobrai.
"Heh, but in all seriousness, the reason why I called this gathering is because the good people of Ninjago imprisoned us in those insidious tombs, condemned by brother and his commander and I want to return them the favor." Pythor told them and they all cheered.
As they all cheered, a rope was lowered over the Anacondrai and Lydie came down just above them. "That's definitely a great plan. But you know, the Anacondrai, being the lazy Blowhards, they will sit back and be invisible while we do all the hard work." She shouted to them to hear.
One Anacondrai looked around, "Who sssaid that?!" He demanded as the Anacondrai got riled from the insult
"Please, I've seen cockroaches that are better Hypnotists than those frost brains." Kai said from near the Hypnobrai.
"Those vampire wannabes' buck teeth can bite my rear end." Jay said behind some Fangpyres.
"I bet those swamp dwellers are drinking their own venom." Cole said next to the Venomari.
"All that digging must have given those small fries dirt for brains." Zane said above the Constrictai.
"I think be in that bog for so long melted their brains." Lydie said.
Every Serpentine argued amongst each other as they blamed anyone not from their tribe for those insults.
Pythor looked down at the chaos in confusion, "What'sss going on? Why am I losssing them?" Pythor asked Skales and Burmesia as they shrugged.
Skales then looked to the side and saw Cole run across the railing. "Ninja! Don't worry, I'll take of it." He told him before he went off.
Cole looked down at the work he and the others had done before he was pulled underground.
As Lydie and Kai stand behind a wall, something pulled them underground too.
Zane and Jay saw it from the entrance of a tunnel. They saw something moving underground towards them. They backed up a bit before making a run for it. Then three Constrictai popped out of the ground and surrounded Jay before they grabbed him.
Zane turned and sees Jay get captured. "RUN!" Jay shouted to Zane.
When he was about to help Jay, more Constrictai popped out of the ground and chased Zane down the tunnel. Zane kept running till he reached a subway stop. He saw that the gates were locked before he saw a poster and quickly stood in front of it.
The Constrictai made it to the stop as Zane close his eyes in hopes they don't see him. The Constrictai looked around before they turned around and went back.
Zane opened his eyes and saw they left before he looked at the pink poster and sigh in relieved as that he is glad his suit is pink now.
Meanwhile, the four tribes continue to argue amongst themselves as they think the others insulted them. "Did you take care of them?" Pythor asked Skales when he came back.
"All but one." Skales answered as he pointed to a closet with the ninjas tied up in.
"The pink one could be anywhere." Burmesia said. "I mean he isss a ninja." She added.
"Then Search every nook and cranny." Pythor told them. "If he's a ninja, you'll never find him in plain sight."
"Look, a pink ninja!" A Constrictai called out as she pointed up and they all saw Zane swinging on a rope.
"Go, Pink Ninja, go!" The other ninjas shouted as Zane came around and knocked both Pythor, Burmesia and Scales off the subway cart. He then quickly made his way to his friends and free them with his shuriken.
"Unh. Now let's get out of here." Zane said before they swing over the Serpentine on ropes before they jumped off and run down a tunnel with the Serpentine chasing them. "Let us blow this popsicle stand. NINJA, GO!" Zane shouted as he did Spinjitzu.
"Popsicle stand! Ha ha, I like it!" Jay said.
"Now Zane's getting the puns." Lydie said with a proud smile.
Zane then stopped and took out his Shurikens and used their power to freeze the tunnel. He then threw them before run and summoned his bike.
Kai then took out his Sword before he run forward and summoned his bike. Cole, and Jay got on the back of Zane's bike as Lydie got on Kai's. Both Zane and Kai then revved up their bikes and took off as the Serpentine Run after them.
They managed to get away a lot faster on their bikes as they travel down the tunnel. Jay managed to slip off Zane's bike but held on to the end. He holds on tight as they continue on down the tunnel.
Meanwhile the Serpentine were still after them, they began to slip on the ice as they ran. Pythor and Burmesia were right behind them before the former lost his balance and slipped on the ice and knocked into the latter to the floor with him.
They turned down the tunnel, as the Ninja were out of sight and a Venomari shook his fist in frustration, "Well, that could've gone better." Selma commented as she and Skales came over and help the two Anacondrai up. "We ssshould've emancipated the Ninja'sss interference."
"You'll have to do better than that to unite the tribesss." Skales told Pythor as helped him up while Selma help Burmesia back up.
Pythor and Burmesia glared and pulled away, "GET YOUR HANDS OFF US!" They roared in anger as Skales and Selma flinched.
The ninjas returned to the Bounty where they all continue to eat dinner together.
"You know, whether it was in a lesson book or not, we used the destructive power of rumors to our advantage." Cole said.
"And now the Serpentine are further away than ever from getting their act together." Kai said.
"I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it hadn't been for Zane." Jay pointed out.
"Don't thank me, Thank Lloyd ." Zane said. "If it hadn't been for his 'laundry skills,' we all would've been found." They all laugh at his joke.
"Now you're getting the jokes, Zane. You're really coming along." Lydie chuckled. "And who knew one of my brother's pranks can save the day." She said in surprise. "Guess there's some good his pranks can do." She added with a small smile.
"Well, it took us 20 loads, but your suits are no longer pink." Lloyd told Zane as he held up his now normal white gi. "And to show that I'm grateful to you big sis. I got you a can of nuts." He pulled out a can and offered it to his sister.
"Uh, ha ha, yeah nice try Lloyd." Lydie chuckled as she walked up to him. "Don't think I don't see what this is. I open the can and a bunch of rubber snakes are gonna pop out, right? Yeah. No, thank you, little bro. You're gonna have to try harder to prank me." She then walked over to a fridge and opened it, only for a bunch of rubber snakes to pop out of it and spooking her. "Waaahh!" She yelled in startled as she fell to the floor.
"Gotcha!" Lloyd laughed at the shocked Lydie sat in a pile of snakes. Everyone in the room laugh at how Lydie was outsmarted by Lloyd.
Lydie then stood up and gave Lloyd a playful murderous look, "Oh-ho-ho-ho, you're in trouble now, Mister. Come here!" She ran towards her brother as Lloyd gave a false scream of terror and ran away from Lydie as she gave her best evil laugh and chased him around the dining room.
The others laughed at the two siblings' playful behavior and laughed even more when Lydie finally caught Lloyd and gave him a noogie to the head as the two laughed along with them.
Wu gave a smile at them, knowing that his brother would be proud to see his two children bonding. 'Garmadon, I believe your son and daughter are destined for great things.' He thought as he watched his niece still nooging her brother.
